At he time of a scheduled appointment to get an estimate for an upgraded A/C system I received a call telling me that they could not keep the appointment after I took off work waiting for the technician to arrive. Unprofessional, Ill move on to a more reliable provider.
This is a great company! We arrived home from vacation to find that our upstairs ac had stopped working. It was July, it was after 5 pm on a Friday, and the upstairs temperature was 99 degrees!! We have 5 kids that sleep up there, and we were worried that a technician may be tough to get. 1 call, and they dispatched an on call technician. He arrived, fixed our unit, and had cold air blowing within an hour. I love any service company that keeps on call staff. Call them when you need work done, and you will see why we rated them 5 stars!!
Awesome and prompt service. We called in for an emergency service call, Collin came in a hurry with knowledge, courtesy, expertise and all the professionalism our previous servicer lacked. He fixed what they muddled and he will be our go-to guy in the future! Highly recommend Wrays for your HVAC needs.
Great customer service from Wray’s. We had an issue with humidity in my second floor, they were able to provide me with 3 options (low, mid, high cost) and explain the pros and cons of each. They did not push the high cost option and in fact recommended the mid-range as the best solution for my situation. When the technicians (Dalton and Usiel) provided the service, they kept me sufficiently aware of the activity and were unobtrusive, very polite, and courteous, even when working for hours in a 120-degree attic. Now a few weeks after the service I am happy to report that the solution worked, and the humidity issue has been resolved.
Called at 5pm. Had a technician at the house by 530. Incredibly knowledgeable and not once did I feel like I was the getting the run around. Shout to the technician Garret for the amazing customer service. That man deserves a raise ! First time using this company and will now be a long term customer because of him. Good prices and a quality tech !
I was not happy with the experience. Very expensive company. Not recommended by me. I believe that the reply to my review was not accurate and I have a right to my opinion. Tech replaced one $20 to 30 capacitor and charged me $292 for the part. He also estimated replacement ac units for over $10k a piece. My neighbors have recently replaced their units for much less. I stated that I felt their prices are high. Its my opinion and I will stand corrected. Obviously, I would not be reaching out to them when it comes time to replace my units.
Having our AC/Heat replaced was a very easy and pleasant experience. Dean was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a bit of trouble at the beginning with the thermostat but they came out quickly and fixed the problem and said to call anytime 24/7. I am very pleased with the work and the experience.
We have used Wrays A/c for over 25 years. Reliable, trustworthy, reasonable prices and Family Owned. They are not perfect, but will make it right when issues come up. Wrays will be there with great service when you need them. They also have a certified electrician on staff to debug complex electrical problems in this SE Texas heat and humidity. As with any ac service, bigger problems with the previous customer may delay them, but they let you know.
Asked for a quote on a new ac unit, was supposed to arrive at noon. Didnt come til 130pm. Walked in, looked around asked for email and left. Havent heard back about an estimate. Not interested in this company. Moving along taking my business elsewhere.
Weve lived in Brittany Lakes for 18 years and have for most of that time used Wrays Air Conditioning. Most recently we purchased our second system from them and was very pleased with the price, delivery/set up, and quality control inspection. Their front line techs are personable, polite, and professional. If there is a problem, they stick with it until it is solved. We recommend Wrays.
We have used Wrays AC for 20 yrs or more. A few times, 2 or 3, I have tried other area HVAC companies, big and smaller companies, trying to get better prices, etc. I keep coming back to Wrays. Wrays is by far the best ... especially when it comes to honesty / integrity and customer relationship. If there is a problem and you communicate with them about it they will do everything reasonable, and perhaps more, to fix it to your satisfaction. It has been my experience that their prices are competitive or better than the competition as well. ...Oh, and did I say ... they are honest.
They came out at 9:30 at night and did not charge an arm and leg. Kyle was wonderful fixed the problem promptly was very polite and courteous.
I received same day service when my upper air conditioning unit was not functioning properly. Wrays dispatched a technician who was at my house by 3:30 in the afternoon. He fixed the problem quickly recognizing it needed a new capacitor. He also explained to me the preferred customer agreement which began using that day. Great job by Garrett the technician.
Just had William Patterson of Wray’s out on Memorial Day to repair my central AC. He responded immediately to call and was here within 45 minutes. He explained everything I needed ( capicitor, valve etc) and even showed me where refrigerant lines should have been insulated and took care of that. Very very fair price but most important we are back to comfort and have never had such professional and knowledgeable service! And on a holiday!!! If every Wray service person is as good as William, they are EPIC!
Pricing very high. Charged me 900 for 8# R410. I understand a mark up but over 5x on freon? Called the office and asked the tech and both just said we dont set the prices price per pound is around $20 per pound (confirmed by office manager) . Pric gouging at its finest. Tech was also about 30 min late. Friendly tech. Charged 400 for leak check. So for 2 hrs and 8# freon is going to be over $1300? Wow.Edit. They took off the leak test charge after I complained about the price
WRAYS installed our unit last year and I contracted for them to do routine maintenance on it two times this year. This visit was done by Garrett, and checked our unit out and went an extra yard by helping me with my controller. This is beyond his duty and as I’m older I had questions with programming it. Very professional and a great job. Everything you want from a company... I highly recommend it.
Prompt and excellent service! Wrays came right away and got our AC up and running during the heat of the summer. We discussed the options and made the choice that was right for our family. We were happy with the pricing. Quality work, courteous, honest, and cleaned up well when finished. I had an AC emergency on a Sunday morning and they were easy to reach (I didn’t have to go through an answering service, even on a weekend) and had Travis there within a few hours. Travis was great and resolved the issue quickly! I will definitely use them again.
AC quit. Wrays sent Tech out. Needed new system. They brought two portable ac units to house, since new system wouldnt be installed for a week. New system put in early, very good service and people are friendly and knowledgeable. Love the service and the new equipment
Worst experience ever with the second Service Tech that was sent to my house. He was rude with the questions he asked, and tried to charge us again for the Diagnostic fee that we paid for when the first Tech came out. Even though I called and complained, I never received a call back. At least others were present to hear how rude he was. From his first question as to : why am I here? He showed by his demeanor that he did not want to check the freon as we had asked. He didnt feel we answered his question (we did) and made another comment: Since youre not answering my question , (I told him he was being rude at that point) Asking a question is Not being rude (he even said that rudely). He continued to be rude with everything he said and last question: You will need to show me you paid for the last diagnostic fee. (Even though I told him I already paid and it cleared my bank) This is NOT how you treat a customer! I also feel disregarded since I never received a call back from the owner!
Absolutely fantastic service! From beginning to end, everything was done so promptly and efficiently. Everyone was so courteous and professional. We truly appreciated the loaner portable units that helped us through until the job was complete. Thank you so much Wrays!!
I called Wrays on Friday morning at 9 am and asked them if they had time to come look at a job. They confirmed that they could do it that day. I waited and waited and didnt hear anything from them. I called back in the early afternoon to confirm they were coming- they said yes. I went to bed without hearing from them. I woke in the morning to a missed call at 11 p.m. saying that they needed me to call them back.I called back on Saturday for them to tell me that it was an electrical issue. Accordingly, I called the electrician and got the issue fixed that day. I called Wray and spoke with him on Sunday who told me he would call the technician who went out there and would call me back to get a resolution. He never called back.On Monday, I called the technician who failed to answer me. Then I called Wray again who told me they called me back on Friday but I didnt answer the phone. He explained to me that no one would be going back out there as they were busy. I told him not to bother going back out on Tuesday as my tenant had already waited three days for them to fix the issue (the electrician changed a disconnect fuse-$7. Every ac guy should have them on their truck with them), and they failed.If you are looking for customer service and someone to take on the responsibility of fixing your a/c in a professional and timely manner, Wrays is NOT your place.
Great family-oriented company! Always on-time, incredibly patient with the numerous phone calls I’ve made, assisted with after-hour concerns, and did a fantastic job with my HVAC installation and adjustment to insure it passes inspection.
We had a great experience with Wrays. We ended up needing a new condenser fan and they got it installed quickly!!! We always call Wrays with our a/c issues and they alway diagnose and correct our problems quickly and affordably.

Had a technician come out and he tried to tell me my compressed was leaking. Come to find out it was a high pressure switch that was leaking after I asked him to use soap bubbles to find the leak. I asked for them to give me a quote to fix the leak and they never got back with me.Im looking for another company to help install another unit.. There loss
Wrays responded to my request to clear a primary A/C drain line. A technician reported the problem was solved.Two days later we discovered water coming from the kitchen ceiling, through from a bedroom closet above and the attic above that. The clog had moved downstream of a vent line but had not cleared; it backed up through the vent and into the attic.Cost to dry out our house: $1500. Cost to repair drywall, baseboard, paint: $3440. Cost to repair carpet: $139.50.A second Wrays technician and the owner told us they would take no responsibility because the A/C drain line was hard-piped to the plumbing system and it was impossible to verify the clog was gone - had the line been flex hose, they said, they would have verified the line was clear. In my opinion when a company is unable to verify the work is complete, particularly when an incorrect result could result in a great deal of damage, the company should either report the issue to the homeowner or decline the work altogether.Wrays management declines even to discuss the matter and will not even refund the $90.50 original service fee which resulted in over $5000 damage to my home.
Recently, my water heater needed to be replaced for the house and I couldnt be happier with the work. The entire process was smooth and was communicated effectively. Highly recommend to friends and family.
Last summer our A/C condenser fan was not working and I wanted to repair it myself. I went to these guys to first get a capacitor (which they charged me $70) and when I realized the the capacitor was okay, I went to the same guys to buy the fan motor. The problem is that I did not check any of these prices on the internet, and went to them directly to buy it. Later when I researched a bit on the internet everything was more than 4 times the actual cost. The capacitor costs anywhere from $10-$15 from Grainger and the fan motor costs anywhere from $115-155. They charged me $395 for the motor. What a rip off! Please do not use these guys even if you want to DIY. Get the parts from Grainger and yes, please do not call them to work on your A/C. The quote that they gave me for replacement of the fan motor was $1100!
The worst experience to date...Mr. Henderson shows up because our a/c was not cooling and our line was frozen outside. I head home to meet him and my wife says hes already there and in the attic checking the unit. I go up and find him on his cell phone and startle him when I say hello. He quickly puts his phone away and comes down without a word. We go outside and looks at the unit outside for a minute and then says, Youre gonna have to replace both the outside unit and inside unit, you have a leak. Mind you, he has not pulled out one tool in this entire process....so I say to him, everything outside is brand new, I just replaced everything about a year ago. He then looks at me and says ok, then you just have to replace whats in the attic. When I begin to ask questions on how he determined this, he just rolled his eyes and says you have a leak. I ask, how do you know if you didnt use any tools in the attic...to which he replies, just like a doctor can look at you and tell you whats wrong with you...ok? I ask him, if it could just be a slow leak since refrigerant was filled when the new equipment was replaced and he said sure, so he proceeded to fill with refrigerant and two days later the lines were frozen over again and this time I have oily residue outside all over the new equipment I had installed previously.I will never use this company again for any HVAC needs. The evaluation of ac problem had to be the worse Ive experienced my entire adult life. Shame on you, Wrays!!

If you make a 730 appointment with a client you should be there at 7:30. The performance by this technician was absolutely ridiculous. Very disrespectful for someone else time!!! The owner actually didn’t even seem to care.
