AC Services

They came recommended to us from a friend (we just moved to the area). First time we used them was to overhaul our HVAC and replace a large portion of it. Job went great, fixed it right up, blessed AC returned. One week later the AC stopped working again, turned out they didnt properly seal the HVAC and the casing popped open, started condensing water all over our attic. We bought a dehumidifier to clear the moisture up and they sent Christian out to look at it. Hes great, by the way, seems very honest, told us the previous crew did a very poor job sealing it. He spent 4 hours re-sealing the whole thing (longer than the replacement had taken) and did a great job, no issue since.Second time we used them our AC unit failed, also on a weekend. Failure occurred 2 days after they installed a soft start on the unit. Christian was sent out (seems to be the guy that works weekends) and told us the capacitor the soft-start was hooked up to wasnt providing enough juice to the fan motor so the motor burnt out. Company boss says the two arent related (them installing the soft start then the AC breaking 2 days later), seems a bit crazy coincidental to me. Regardless, fine, chalk it up to bad luck. Christian doesnt have the capacitor we need on the truck so he leaves us with a fancy modular one they keep on the truck for testing, says hell have someone scheduled to come out and bring us the one we need so we dont get charged for their used and expensive modular testing capacitor.Three days later we get a bill for the weekend work and it includes the 150+$ modular capacitor. I call the owner about it and am lead on about a 10-minute hee-haw conversation about why I should be happy with a used capacitor that their employee already explained to me isnt what I should be using and isnt new... Was literally told that it was their policy to just leave the test capacitor with the client if they didnt have the specific one needed on the truck at the time (which... considering its replacing a broken part with a used part which is a much more expensive part seems rather insane).A week later, Christian is sent back out to pick up the test capacitor. Well, the bill comes back again and its about the same price despite having an 80$ cheaper capacitor on it (and they use the cheap Chinese brand too, or at least they did with us) but they charged us an additional 50$ labor to come give us the new part we were promised the first time...Fine, paid the bill, not going to argue with them anymore but certainly NEVER going to give them my business.Im sure theyre good at what they do and Christian is a great guy, just seems like the owner is shady and very much out to cut corners for profit, very non-client friendly.TBF though he always promptly gets back to you by phone (but have fun getting argued in a circle, stiff upper lip chaps.)

The young man that came was very professional, very thorough. He fixed what needed to be fixed,and didnt try to fix what wasnt broken! He was polite and I felt very comfortable with him in my house. Thank you for keeping me cool!!!

Jeffrey came out after constantly having issues with our AC and others just putting a band aide on it for three years. He came in a got it blowing cold air like it was brand new!!! Thank you so much!! Jeffrey is highly professional and is the person to call for all of your HVAC needs!

We’ve been using A/C Services off and on for years. Our ac went out in the afternoon and they had someone out here within an hour and a half and had it fixed quickly and at a reasonable cost. Super friendly and professional! I referred them to my son who used them this past week and he was very pleased also!

We had an issue with our a/c unit making a weird noise. We contacted a/c services and they sent out a tech that same day. We couldnt get the unit to make the noise again so the tech said he would be back out in the next day or so to see if the a/c unit would make the noise again or not. The owner came back out within the next day or so and was able to hear what the unit was doing. Clint was able to identify the problem, order the new part and had it installed and back going in no time. Great business and would recommend them for your a/c services.

I would like to thank a c services for there promptness in responding to...Which we all call here in South Texas an emergency when our HVAC system fails. Especial, thank you to dawn who schedules, The AC tech Christian that showed up, Troubleshooted and diagnosed the problem in a very short time. Was able to safely bypass a control board to get the system running until the part was received.... And installed the very next day!!!Thanks to the owner, Clint who contacted me personally The 1st day to make a plan for forward action...Straight forward... This is an awesome company. I called them at 8:30 in the morning and they had someone at my house in just a couple hours. He found the problem and had it fixed quick. They are very professional and quick to get your problems fixed quickly. I highly recommend this company.

Very disappointed in this company- we used them once about 6 months ago, guy came out and fixed the issue, charged us $70 call out plus labor & parts- cool. 2 months after that- we had another issue, guy came out & said- your fan blade is on upside down- charged us $70 & labor to put it back in right. We told him- your company was the one that put it in that way- we haven’t had anyone else out since y’all. Didn’t care. Fast forward a few weeks later- AC isn’t working AGAIN! I called them just to see if maybe they would waive the $70 fee this time since they were JUST here and we’ve been charged essentially for something THEY did wrong. Nope. Still would be a $70 fee & just to ask further- I asked, so if y’all come out again & it’s the same issue as we had originally- is there any guarantee on your work? Does any of our past payments go towards this? Of course I should have known the answer. It does not. Also, many AC companies apply the call out fee to the actual repair- and they do not. Very poor customer service, poor way to run your business AND poor quality work. I would never trust these guys with your unit.

Called before ordering service to get prices and was not given all charges. BE AWARE this company charges a coming out fee of 80.00 they call it RESIDENTIAL SERVICE CALL, plus will charge a worker hourly fee, they call it TECH LABOR (it will be a flat fee no matter how long they r there, they were at my house about 10 to 15 minutes and charged me 1 hour and a half) (when wall was ripped out, n door on unit was acessable) and AC Services will charges for any parts.

Clint and his crew provide excellent service. They are dedicated to their customers going above and beyond to fix your problems. I have been using them for 15 yrs+! Highly recommended!!

My A/C condenser coil needed to be replaced. Clint came out immediately and looked at it and gave me a quote that was $1000 less than the previous company. He put a temp fix on it to get me through the night and replaced the coil first thing this morning. Great price, excellent service AND theyre opening up a new office in Lake Jackson. Flawless experience.

I have been using them for years on my personal home and rent homes. A few years ago I also started as maintenance supervisor for a beach resort business with about 35 homes. We were having problems getting service from the company we had then so I brought in AC Services and we have had them ever since. Fast, dependable and honest.

Clint is always very responsive and even organized my A/C repair while sitting at an Astros game. Employees are always professional and timely. Clint will always be my first call.

Prompt response, professional installation.Clint and his team were epic! Quickly completed the work in my rental unit, with minimal disruption to the tenants. It was the little things that impressed me. His team took the time to remove a bit of dirt that was starting to build up near a trim piece. It wasn’t in the scope of work, and was something I had been meaning to do. Although this doesn’t sound like much, I believe that the kind of people that show this attention to detail, are the kind of partners you want in home improvements.

Unless you need something VERY basic (i.e. blow out your drain line), I would not recommend these guys. Even though there are limited coastal service companies available, there are still a few good guys out there that appreciate residential jobs and handle their business.After leaving trash in the attic (empty CO2 cartridges and old insulation next the units) after recharging my system and blowing out the lines, we realized we had a bigger issue where the units were dripping outside of the pans to the upstairs ceiling and sweating inside the walls, I asked them to come back out to reroute the lines to eliminate the issue once and for all. After 4 months of no reply and no one showing up, another company had to come out and fix the system. They did however send me a bill, 4 months later, for their initial job where they failed to fix the system, come back out or help me find a solution. Proceed with caution.

This company did great by me. No BS...... checked my heater, found the issue and repaired it. Told me up front what my part cost and labor. No surprises on the invoice. This will be my ac/heater service company from now on. BTW..... they answer the phone when you call.

They were on time and installed my new unit (exterior) in no time!! They answered all my questions and even provided me with options. Great service and an even better price!

Unprepared claimed to have left equipment in other van. spent 10 minutes in home charged $100 I do not recommend this company at all

This company is very poor in their work sold me a bad dehumidifier then told me not to call them back after they couldn’t get it working right cost me $120 in fixing my lights after they put the dehumdifier on top of them
