Not only fixed the issue which fixed our entire system, but Joe explained everything he was doing, gave maintainence tips, and explained costs up front which were very reasonable. Great company and fantastic employees! Would recommend to anybody in the Austin area.

This is HUGE when theres a problem with your AC in central Texas, regardless of the season. Within 90 minutes he had our clogged and frozen AC cleared, and our coils shiny and almost good as new.His pricing was reasonable, he discounted us as new customers, and provided us with superior service well beyond the usual. Instead of the usual once over of our older unit from other companies, who have told us we just need to buy a new AC, Joe saved us another several years on our older one. Ive had many positive experiences with Joe and Dragon HVAC over the last ten or so years and recently had them replace my entire furnace and A/C system. Joe and his team are committed to quality and to meeting customer needs. Over the years, they have helped me with numerous small issues (A/C maintenance, capacitor replacements) and have always been available to quickly respond to and resolve issues immediately. I know that Dragon cares about my A/C system as much as I do, so when it came time to get a complete replacement, I was happy to work with them. Despite a few issues that were beyond our control (mainly equipment availability), Joe stayed informed, up-to-date, flexible, and prompt. I felt informed and never pressured to make the best decision for me (I did a lot of my own research, too). Even for minor issues that came up, he stopped by, often on the same day and always communicated everything.After shopping around and getting numerous quotes from local HVAC companies (about two years ago, when I started shopping around), I found that most of the locally-operated companies were more focused on profit and revenue than on providing the best options, good pricing, and reliable installation services for the customer (though Ive never actually used another company; Im basing this on the pre-sales process for around 6 local companies). I know there has been a lot of profit-driven consolidation in the local HVAC and home services areas (based on comparing customer reviews and ratings over time, this is almost always bad for consumers). That makes me even more positive about supporting Dragon HVAC, Joe, and his entire team. I highly recommend them for maintenance, estimates, and full system replacements. I hope I dont *need* HVAC services anytime soon, but I wont hesitate to call Dragon if/when I do!

Joe and his father certainly live up to their reputations as honest, hard working AC professionals that really take the time to explain things to you. They came out to help us the same day after our upstairs unit stopped cooling. They tested the capacitor and sure enough it was faulty. We replaced it along with our others to be safe and he gave us several price point options which we appreciated. I’m not one to leave reviews, but Joe and his team at Dragon Heating & Air deserve a shout-out. After three other HVAC companies told me I needed a new $20k+ system, Joe took the time to get to the root of the issue and saved me thousands. Every time he came out, he followed up with me 3-4 weeks later to ensure everything was still working perfectly. Months after the repairs, Joe even walked me through installing a Nest Thermostat over the phone—going above and beyond yet again.It’s rare to find a company that genuinely cares about proper diagnosis and solving the real issue. Joe and his team take a lot of pride in their work, and it’s clear they’re in it to help homeowners, not just sell new systems. I even offered Joe extra cash for everything he saved me, but he only asked me to spread the word. So here I am, doing just that. Outstanding Service! Our system went out on the 2nd of January. We were referred by a neighbor on our community page. Showed in a couple of hours and identified a bad wire connection… fixed in 5 minutes! Friendly, experienced, thorough and highly professional. I’ll now be using these guys for my seasonal tune up.

There are literally no words to express how AMAZING Dragon Heating and Airs service is. I called on a Sunday (their day off) and Joe walked me thru everything. He explained he would come out to see what was going on with my system. He came out on a Sunday and was pretty sure he found the issue but didnt want to replace it until it went out so he could be certain and not replace something that didnt need to be replaced. While here he also found errors that the builders contractor AC company (Airtron) did wrong. They covered a filter in the attic that I had no idea was there and they covered some sort of important piece that needed to breath for the motor to have a longer life. It finally went out Friday at 11 pm and Joe asked me to call him. I explained what was going on and he said ok this is exactly what I suspected. He fit me into his busy Friday schedule and fixed my AC. I had called a few other AC companies and truthfully they didnt seem to be concerned that I did not want to stay without AC. Thanks Dragon Heating and Air for being life savers and such a honest company! We need more companies like this who arent trying to rip people off and fix things that do not need to be replaced.

Called Dragon close to company closing time on a Saturday. They were at my house within an hour. Joe couldnt have been more professional and kind. Instantly identified the problem and fixed it with ease. Also went out of his way to educate me about how to use preventative maintenance to avoid future problems. I could write a book about my very positive experience with Dragon Heating and Air, but Id rather you not pass my recommendation because its too long, so Ill cut right to the chase. When my AC couldnt keep up with the heat last summer, we called out a certified dealer. We were told there was nothing wrong with our unit but explained that our builder undersized our unit, then they dropped the bomb: they could replace our unit...for $12,000. Needless to say, we suffered the heat last year but decided to get another opinion this year. Enter Joe from Dragon Heating and Air. He listened to what I had to say, used it as a starting point to begin troubleshooting, then followed his instincts to methodically walk through troubleshooting steps until he found the issue: bad coils. It was late afternoon, but he went and got the parts and came back early evening, working until 8-ish to make sure we had AC overnight.So I have to give Joe and A+ for his technical skills, and A++ for his professionalism, and give his dad an A+++ for the customer service skills Joe said his dad taught him. Theres nothing better than learning good old fashioned customer service skills honed and practiced in a family business. Oh...And I didnt pay $12,000 for an unneeded new unit. I only paid for the initial check and the labor to install the coils. I couldnt be happier. Thank you, Joe!

First time to use Dragon Heating and AC. Joe went beyond what our prior AC servicer ever did on our AC maintenance. He explained what we could do to help our unit (basic washing, etc). He suggested to partially close some vents in rooms we were not using to provide better airflow to our media room and other. rooms, and boy did that help. Joe was very friendly and will use Dragon Heating and AC from now on. 5 STAR service.

I rarely leave any reviews but this one is beyond warranted with the exceptional customer service that Joe from Dragon Air provided! Our AC went out this week, I tried a few different contractors who were all booked up (understandably with the temperatures we have had in Austin!!) and was wondering what to do as we couldn’t possibly go another day without AC. Fortunately got Joe’s contact through a friend, he answered the phone immediately and worked through his schedule to come by the same evening. He was extremely knowledgeable and got to the issue very quickly. Joe not only got our AC fixed but went above and beyond by cleaning our outdoor unit and also installed an easy option for regular home maintenance to flush the pipe ourselves.It was truly exceptional customer service!!

My thermostat was off and i checked my breakers but everything was good. Remembered Joe fixed my unit condenser 4 years back and i called him . Even though he was busy with other appointments he was able to guide me through some checks and figured out my flow switch was at fault. Super happy that he fixed it for me over the phone and offered me few more checks to make sure i dont have similar problems in future. I would 100% recommend Joe for any kind of AC services. What can I say? This is the 3rd time Jose has been over to our residence. The first two times were for regular seasonal tuneups but last night was for an emergency repair last minute. I was extremely impressed with his level detail both times he did the tuneup. But his going out of his was last night way later than would be their norm to get my HVAC system repaired and running was highly unexpected. He remains 💯% professional, 💯 % courteous and 💯 detailed each and every time. Since the first time I randomly saw one of their service vans on highway 290 and called to schedule our tuneup over a year ago, I’ve since deleted EVERY other number saved on my phone as “HVAC”. The only number left in my phone for HVAC -there were more than 10 accumulated over the years- is Dragon!! Dragon and done!It’d be 10 stars if possible.

In the 4 years we have been at our house I have tried many companies only to find out later they did botched fixes, charged for services they didn’t perform or didn’t fix the issue. This is my second time hanging Dragon out to diagnose an issue. Both times I was asked to come look in the attic or outside and show exactly what the issues were. I had a wonderful experience with Jose and his team today. He installed my AC unit about 4 years ago on the recommendation of my realtor. I have nothing but positive things to say about the entire experience and his pricing was competitive as well. He was wonderful to work with, very knowledgeable, and worked with my schedule. Here I am years later and now that property has become a rental that I lease out and I had tenants that experienced some humidity issues.He pencilled us into his schedule quickly and was very communicative throughout the entire process, called me to go over adjustments that he felt were necessary, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. It ended up being a simple fix but he still went in to tweak the system and made some other adjustments to optimize the system so that we might not run into this again. In this day and age, it’s hard to find people who you can trust with work to be done around the house and with Jose and his company, I know that we are in good hands. 10/10 would recommend and he has a lifetime customer in me.

I gave Dragon Heating and Air a call because we needed our AC inspected right away. It was so hot! Outside temperatures have been in the hundreds and our indoor temperatures were going up to 80°. Joe answered my call and was able to schedule us in the same day. When he arrived he was friendly and was asking questions straight away. He practically knew the root issues before even laying a hand on the AC. He proceeded to do his testing and was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He explained things clearly. The following morning our house cooled down to the set temp, 70° as expected. Awesome service all around. Greatly recommend and would call them again.

Wow, wow, wow! Joe and Dragon Heating and Air have so completely impressed me. I thought with this intense summer heat that I would address my sluggish A/C system that has been running 24/7 and still not keeping us below 82F. While traveling I texted Joe at midnight on a Friday night thinking I would get in line for a Monday appointment, he responded immediately! Joe gets me in at my earliest availabilityand arrived promptly, he had even texted me notification when he was headed our way with an ETA. Joe quickly diagnosed the issue, pointing out the leak and explaining it all to me. Within 6 hours, he had located and purchased the part and returned for 3 hours of installing the unit is my scorching hot attic. My system was up and running perfectly in 9 hours start to finish, again, WOW!Joe had been out to our home last year to fix a different unit which is running perfectly. Joe has always been respectful, clean (popping on boot covers each time he enters the house), efficient, great at communicating and always arriving promptly per his arrival texts. Joe is also generous with advice taking the time to teach me the maintenance to keep my system running in tip top shape. I absolutely recommend Joe for your HVAC needs.

Late yesterday, I had a bad feeling that my air conditioning system was not keeping house (and me) quite as cool as it should. Thats when I started thinking about the a/c filter and how damp it was when I last checked. I started checking Next Door for recommendations for service person. I have been in the Cuernavaca area 45 years and it is hard to find really good repair people - and keep them. It was at this time that I realized it was after 5 and I would probably not find anyone to help in the early evening. Thats when I called Dragon Heating & Air. My call was answered promptly and the technician, Joe, called me back, ask me several questions and told me he could be there soon.Not only was Dragon Heating & Air prompt, Joe knew exactly what he was doing. Our AC went out in the middle of June. We reached out to our neighbors for suggestions on who to use for AC repair. Several neighbors suggested Dragon Heating and AIt repair to us. We called them thinking there was no way at 7 o’clock at night anybody would come out. They sent Joe out in less than 30 minutes he was at our house. He was very professional and went over all repairs thoroughly. Joe had our AC up an running in less than an hour. He also went through all the maintenance for our AC system. This alone would have been enough for a 5 star review, but after we had some problems with a separate electrician a few days later, Joe came out after hours to make sure that our system was back up and running properly. I normally use ABC for the servicing of my HVAC system but the last two times they were out I was being pushed pretty hard to spend $5k to replace the compressor. Going into summer I wanted to have a second opinion from someone before I committed to spending the money to replace the compressor. I sent in a service request at like 4:30 on a Friday and Joe called me within like 20 mins and was able to come out the very next day (today, Saturday the 10th.) He let me shadow him while he checked out the system and talked through all of his tests and what he was checking for. After running some tests he noticed I was lower on Freon and added some to the system. We went back into the house and the air was now coming out of the system sub 60 degrees and working in a way he was happy with and wanted to get the system too. THIS IS HOW A BUSINESS SHOULD BE RUN. He could have easily sold me on a new unit like ABC was trying to do but for a $400 repair he gained a customer for life. Dragon Heating & Air is a phenomenal company and you would be crazy to call anyone but them. Joe is thorough and non-pushy with how he runs his company and an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Joe came out on Monday (same day) because our ancient a/c unit couldn’t keep up with the heat. Their quote was very reasonable than others and they had the unit replaced by Friday. He was very courteous and took time to explain maintenance. We will definitely be using them for ongoing needs

My first review ever.I called Dragon Heating and Air at 7:44pm on a Sunday night (after waiting for 12 hours for another AC company). Joe was at our house in 45 min and our AC was running the same day at 9pm, an hour and 16 min after my call. I can’t express how much I appreciated his service. This will be the company we will be calling from now on twice a year to get our AC unit serviced and every time we need anything AC related.

We had Dragon Air install a new hvac system in our home back in 2020. Fast forward 2023 and we had an issue with it turning off for no known reason to us. Not only did they remember our job but they saved us over $200 by telling us how to trouble shoot at home. They were so friendly, helpful and resourceful. Joe at Dragon was AWESOME. My kid was graduating, my husband got covid, my other kid got sick, my dog rolled in something dead, AND THEN OUR A/C WENT OUT. We have a home warranty who put us on the list for their provider, who never called and never showed up. 24 hours into sweating and swearing, I canceled the home warranty call and called Dragon, based on multiple neighbors recommendations. I leave very few reviews, yet was compelled to leave this one! Joe is truly a saint to come out on his day off. A friend who is also a property manager referred him to me and said he is amazing. Which he is! My AC failed late Friday night and all the companies that claimed they were 24/7 help, could not even come out until after the 4th holiday.Joe and his Team were booked solid, yet he promised to see what they could do that Saturday for me. He said he would update me in an hour and then gave me a time and was right on time. Only 2 hours later.He spent several hours working diligently to figure out what the issue was. Spoke with my out of state landlord on the phone several times and explained every step of the way what he was doing and checking. He was miraculously able to patch together the system that was malfunctioning on multiple levels with multiple part and electrical failures. He showed me preventative steps to help preserve the health of any system. He was beyond pleasant and helpful in every way. And he wouldnt even accept a cash tip that I tried insistently to provide him with. He is the best repair and maintenance person I have ever worked with in any area. Knowledgeable, educating, kind, respectful and clearly loves what he does and super determined to not leave anyone in a tough situation. I am not sure any other repair person would have been as comprehensive, dedicated and showed some much perseverance in their approach.I cannot recommend Joe and Dragon Heating and Air highly enough!

My AC shut itself off last night unexpectedly, I called him at 7pm, Joe answered the phone and walked me through some troubleshooting steps, looked at a few pictures i sent him and hrlped me correct the issue (a clogged drain pipe). This saved me significant time and expense (after hours house calls during the hour season get pricey). I cant recommend Dragon AC and Joe enough, they are the best in Austin.

Joe and the team at Dragon were amazing. My AC broke right after I moved in at the beginning of the summer. Joe came next day, got me a quote and was able to install the AC the next day. I’m not very handy, and joe walked me through everything they would do, why they were doing it, and how to keep it working on the long run. It’s clear he has a lot of pride in his work. I don’t typically leave reviews but I HIGHLY recommend Dragon Heating & Air for any A/C or HVAC need. I am a new home owner with very limited knowledge of HVAC systems and maintenance, and Joe (and Chris) were extremely knowledgeable with exceptional customer service.They are not just trying to make a quick sell on unnecessary new systems, parts, or repairs. Our AC stopped working and they did a complimentary visit to run a handful of different tests on the outdoor compressor unit, as well as inside central units, vents, etc. They explained what they were testing and looking for every step of the way, and holistically how all the components work together at a level that was easy to understand. They provided great tips on routine maintenance to keep the systems running efficiently and prolong their life. They also discussed the different options for repairing now (with peak summer prices), or waiting to get discounts in the winter months. I really appreciated this level of transparency.In the end our issue seemed to be caused by a lack of regular upkeep / maintenance. Prior to Joe taking a look I had someone from one of the bigger AC repair companies in Austin come take a look and he tried selling me on replacement parts or an entire new unit which was going to cost thousands of $$.I’ve been in customer service myself in multiple jobs, and this was top notch service across the board. If you’re looking for reliable HVAC help in Austin or broader Central Texas, these are the people to call!

Dragon Heating and Air provided next day service when I called to see if they could add R22 refrigerant to my 39-year-old GE HVAC system (yep, it still runs great). I knew it would be expensive if it were avaliable so I was pleased when Joe said they had R22 and could top-off my system.He arrived earlier than scheduled, promptly added the refrigerant, and then checked the air temperature coming into the house.Though he was surprised to find my GE unit in such good shape, he was honest about the life expectancy of such units and clearly stated that he could not guarantee how long the refrigerant would last.And though the unit was cooling before Joe added refrigerant, its much cooler now and running less often; so even with the expensive recharge of R22 refrigerant, Im satisfied with Dragon Heating and Air because they might have given a few more years of life to my American made GE system. (Who can complain about 39 years of service?).They are professional, friendly, and interested in helping their customers.Good job guys!

These guys ROCK! Great quality AND affordable. Not like the big companies, where you have to pay for their advertising. They know what they’re talking about—-they have the best advice to give you for what you need in cooling and heating. You can trust them; and remember, be proactive. If you sense your system is acting differently, give them a heads up. Their advice may be as simple as hosing off your coils outside, pouring bleach in a drain pipe inside or changing an air filter. They’ll try to save you money wherever they can.

So impressed with the level of communication and updates throughout the entire process. They are very knowledgeable and got our AC back up and running quickly. Highly recommend!

I had two other companies come out and they could not figure out how to get my heating and cooling system set up correctly. These guys showed up within the hour, in the evening no less, and did a phenomenal job. They even replaced a couple of my filters just because. Did more in less than an hour than the other two companies did in five to six hours.

These folks are great. They found and fixed a pretty big problem with the AC drain system that was done wrong when the house was built. It had not been caught for 18 years. Also fixed a big problem with the AC unit compressor. He was able to try a couple of things to help me avoid a costly replacement and it has worked great for over a year now!

Excellent experience with them! Called around 430pm on Wednesday and they came out by 530pm to check out the heater which was no longer blowing hot air. Quickly identified the problem, explained and provided pictures to clarify, and had a replacement part installed the next day! Super quick, super professional, super polite. Have been calling Joe from Dragon for a number of years now. Always impressed with the work that he has done, hes on time, professional and honest with really fair prices. I know when I call him I can trust what he says and the work he does.

They got a technician out the same day we called and he even stayed late to get us taken care of. The price was very reasonable, and in addition to fixing our problem, he suggested maintenance tasks we could do to keep from having a problem in the future.

I reached out to Dragon at 6:00 am when I realized my AC went out. Jose reached out by 7 and was at myDoorstep by 12! Unbeknownst to me he is the owner and it was his birthday!Jose walked me through every step as to why it was failing and the options moving forward.Not only did he fix the issue but hung around for 30 minutes to ensure every duct was blowing at 59 degrees.If you’re looking for a company who is going to show up when they say they are and not try to over-sell you Dragon is the company!TY Jose.
