We had a new Lennox HVAC system installed and are extremely satisfied with the quality of the installation. Tom the lead technician did an excellent job during the entire install. We highly recommend this company if you are in the market for a new heating or cooling system. The entire install team and sales staff were very professional.

Ralph is our heating and cooling tech from Original Kingwood. He is great to work with as he is knowledgeable and very professional. We feel very satisfied with the results of his inspections. Tech found the issue quickly and serviced both of my units and had me back up and running.Ralph did my furnace service. He did a great job and even answered my questions about being able to run my systems off of my generator.

Your technician was at our home for 2 hours trying to find a short in our 4-ton system. He said he would return on Monday to once again look for the short. Its a little early to write a review since our system is not working as of this writing.

Is it possible for your A/C to be too cold? Answer…No, its not, and our new A/C, courtesy of Kingwood Air Conditioning, has been rocking and rolling. I appreciate the service that has been provided to me by Kingwood Air Conditioning. Between Chris and Ralph my HVAC system continues to run. Called them thinking my AC went out, Ralph came out within an hour to look at and let me know what was going on. I see why its been in business for so long.

I called for information and a bid after another vendor gave me a quote that I thought was high. Sylvia was very polite and said that they could not help with the component I needed. I continued talking to her to gain advice and information and she was very helpful. At the end of the conversation, she offered to send out a technician for an analysis to see what they could do for me. Larry showed up promptly and quickly explained to me that after 12 years of operation, my 5 Ton air conditioner unit was hooked up to my 3 1/2 ton rated evaporator coil and my 3 1/2 ton unit was hooked to my 5 ton evaporator coil. Think of an automobile running with the wrong size radiator in it. The systems have been running inefficiently since new with improper cooling and a higher electric bill. After getting a quote, I checked others published prices and Kingwood Air Conditioning was very competitive. I decided to go with Kingwood Air and they were out the very next day to install two new complete air conditioning units. The entire crew were prompt, polite, professional, and thoughtful and methodical during the two days of installation. I am very happy with the price and the installation and I look forward to many years of trouble free operation with my premium Lennox air conditioners. I plan to now use Kingwood air conditioning, a company that’s been in business for 40 years, for all my future air conditioning needs.

Enrique came within 12 hrs during the power outage to check my unit. Bad line power started my condenser motors in reverse and they shut down. Enrique was on the 24/7 hotline and walked me through the restart. We slept in AC.Next day service call found a marginal capacity and replaced it before failure.The service contract is worth the peace of mind that my family will be comfortable when I travel.Kingwood A/C was timely and effective. Anticipating a power surge when electrical power is restored (after Hurricane Beryl) I pulled out the disconnect and turned off the breakers in the breaker box. I called The Original Kingwood Air Conditioning office to verify I had done the right thing. Chris, one of the technicians who has serviced our AC, called me. I told him what I had done and asked if that was correct. He assured me that switching off the breaker was all that I needed to do, and that I could return the disconnect to its place.I really appreciated Chris calling and explaining to me how the parts interacted and how I can properly take action to protect our AC from power surges.The Original Kingwood Air Conditioning and Heating company, and their technicians, specifically Chris on this occasion, continue to service our HVAC unit in such a manner that makes our home comfortable year around.Thank you for your helpful phone call, Chris. Chris worked hard and diligently. He spent 5 hours fixing an issue. Price stayed at what was for parts alone even though he spent 4 extra hours looking for hidden issue. Very kind to my infants and kept a positive attitude even when he couldn’t figure out issue alone. Kept calling colleagues looking for answers. Amazing customer service. 10/10

The Original Kingwood Air has been our only AC company since we moved to Kingwood 28 years ago. In the two homes we have owned, they have made significant improvements in ventilation that was improperly installed by the builders. Enrique, our service tech, always gives us first class attention when he comes out in the spring & fall for maintenance. Kingwood Air also has had a short response time whenever we have been in need of repair. I give them 5 stars out of 5 stars.

We invited three highly-respected Kingwood-area contractors -- including our existing service provider of 25+ years -- to price replacement of our ailing 15-year old American Standard A/C unit. We selected a Lennox 4T 2-stage A/C-furnace system proposed by Larry Thurman, KW A/Cs knowledgeable comfort specialist, because it offered the most attractive installed-cost-per-SEER ratio of the three, and at a price significantly lower than that of our existing provider. Installation was completed in one day thanks to excellent onsite work by technicians Tom, Max and Austin, aided by Larry AND Kevin, the owner! The unit started up without a hitch. I had a wonderful experience with this company today. Im a long time customer and have had them come out for maintenance every 6 months for the past 6 years or so. They are always on time and very professional. I feel that they take an adequate amount of time and are very thorough. The technician that came out today (Enrique R) was great! He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He really spent the time to educate me on an issue that I had and then he was able to thoroughly correct the problem. There are a lot of AC companies in the Kingwood area, but I would definitely recommend these guys in the future.

I have used The Original Kingwood Air Conditioning and Heating company for many years. In my last house, I kept them under contract for spring and winter PMs and they did a great job in squeaking out every bit of life from my old AC. When it finally gave out (in the summer, of course), The Original Kingwood Air Conditioning and Heating gave me a very competitive price on a new system. And best of all, they brought a over temp unit until the new system was installed.When I bought this house a year ago, there was no question about who I would use for all of my HVAC needs. I immediately put the system under contract with The Original Kingwood Air Conditioning and Heating. As this is a new system installed by the previous owner, I wanted to keep it running as well and efficiently as possible. On their first inspection, it was discovered that the system was 2 lbs short of refrigerant. I sure wish I had had The Original Kingwood Air Conditioning and heating check it out before closing because the inspector missed this.I recently learned that the previous owner of this house had finished out the garage as a usable room and then reconverted it back into a garage before selling. When the garage was reconverted, the air vents were merely tucked into the attic and tied off with zip ties. I contacted The Original Kingwood Air Conditioning and Heating to have these ducts pulled back and to have the plenum sealed. The tech, Chris, arrived on time, donned his booties and checked out the issue and confirmed my suspicions. Chris explained exactly how he was going to resolve the problem and did an excellent job.I highly recommend The Original Kingwood Air Conditioning and Heating.

Chris came out and helped us today! As it turns out, the breakers were mismatched on our 2 AC units causing 1 to trip a breaker and have no power. Chris figured it out right away. When our air condition unit broke down I didnt know what to do...Luckily i called The Original Kingwood Air, they were at my house within two hours. The technician was vey thorough, diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate for the repairs. My AC is fixed and I am still waiting on a call back from the other companies. I even signed up for the annual maintenance plan so no more HVAC worries!!!

Been a customer for almost 9 years and have utilized their annual cleaning/inspection service for both heating and A/C systems. Over that time we’ve had one breakdown for each system and their response to both was excellent. The last breakdown occurred after hours and they responded within about an hour and corrected the issue. Repair costs have been reasonable. Our heating system is about 22 years old and the A/C system is about 15 years old. They keep these systems in tip-top shape for their age. We highly recommend their services.

I would not recommend. I am only forced to give them a star. One of the main reasons we bought our house was because our units were only a year old. We did everything right and had everything transferred into our name. At the four year mark, still under warranty, the compressor went out. Sent a tech out to check things and decided it was the compressor. Charged me for that, even though it’s under warranty and I told them what the problem was already. Gave me the price to fix it, with the warrantied part, and it was more than twice as much as 3 other companies would charge me to install a new one. I called three different places and got three different quotes for a brand new install of the compressor. They were all within $100 dollars of each other. These people were more than twice that and that was without having to buy the compressor. No itemized quote to do the work, which is also unheard of. I have never heard of having to pay for warranty work, and even more surprised that it would be more expensive than a new install. Receptionist didn’t want to hear anything and passed me straight along to the owner, who couldn’t give me any good explanations either. If you use these people you better read the fine print, do your due diligence, and have a lawyer read it over.

This is the second time Ralph came to the rescue on short notice. Im going to switch over to Kingwood for the annual servicing. They earned it.Thank you 👍🏻

They installed my system almost 10 years ago. Never a problem with annual checks & filter changes. Their employees are always professional, courteous, & on time. They always come when they say they will. Their enroute notification is especially helpful so I can have my animals corralled before they arrive!!

The service was good and the advise well recieved. I do have a HUGE problem with the not leaving a writen explanation and reciept. Also the way we are communicated with assumes everyone has and Iphone and they get e-mails and texts. No person attention is given unless YOU call. Great support. I called after hours to report a noise on my AC and make an appointment the next day. Ralph the technician called and came within an hour to correct the problem.

What separates this dealer/ repair shop is the prompt service. I can call anytime day or night and talk to a person. Not some recording or a fake conversation. Within a an hour I am talking to a technician and he is on the way. Just last week I needed a capacitor and he had the unit up and running in minutes. This was a Saturday night at 9:30 pm. Bob the tech was awesome. He talked me through as much of a diagnosis as he could over the phone and was very patient while I tried to decide if it was worth the after hours rate. As a first time home owner with a very low emergency fund, that made all the difference for me.Im so glad I decided to have him come out. AC went out on Friday evening. I called Saturday morning, and Enrique got us back up and running Saturday afternoon. Showed us the problem and how to fix it next time. No parts were required, and I appreciate the honesty. In this situation in 100+ degree heat someone could easily create work that isn’t really needed.My friend just had Enrique out last week to troubleshoot a condensation line leak and had nothing but good things to say also. Our neighbor said he’s the best AC guy as well. Very thankful to have someone you can count on and trust.

The tech would have been in time except for vehicle challenges. The office called ahead of time to let me know about the 30-minute delay. The tech arrived on time for the revised appointment. I called The Original Kingwood AC company on a Wednesday because my air conditioner was falling to cool. They implemented a temporary fix and clearly explained my options. i could see that my system was over due for replacement. With the assistance of Mike I chose a new Armstrong system. On Friday morning a crew led by Josh completely removed my entire system by noon and installed the new system by 4:00 pm. I am very pleased with the obvious efficiency and quietness of the system. I do appreciate the fact that Mike came back a few days later to follow up with further adjustments and checks of the system. In conclusion I consider the product and the installation a five star success.

KW Air on 494 are family owned and handle things in an honest manner. The few times things havent gone smoothly, they always make it right. Yes, they arent the least expensive company around, but they stand behind their product, they try hard to come out the day you call, and well use them until one of us retires. Shout out to Enrique who has been here for a few hours now. He found a few issues that would require an additional visit soon as well as the main problem. Very nice, professional, and detail oriented.

We have had Kingwood Air’s service plan for five years, and have always been pleased with our twice a year seasonal checkups for heating and air conditioning. Every technician that has come to our home has been knowledgeable and personable. Tonight, for the first time, our AC stopped running. We called at 9:00 pm, expecting the leave a message that would be returned in the morning. Instead our call was answered, information taken and 30 minutes later we received a call from Ralph who said he would be here in 30 minutes! If I could give them no stars I would. The office staff and owners are not knowledgeable at all. I have had to have them out 4 times to service a system that I inherited. They will tell you that you have to buy their maintenance plan in order for the system to be cover by the manufacturer warranty. I called the customer service of the manufacturer of the unit that was installed to find out if that was correct, and that was a lie. Then I was told there was a recall on the wiring that was originally installed when the unit was installed, and that was a lie also. I still confused on how a company will not provide you with an itemized bill. I would like to know what Im paying for, and not just because that is the price you decided on. Their response time is also unacceptable because they make you buy the maintenance plan. To have priority service and response on a weekend and you still have to wait until Monday before someone comes out. 🙄

Enrique diagnosed the problem and made an emergency fix until a permanent solution during the week. Friendly, efficient service as always.

Great team here! They are always on top of my maintenance plan, are quick and responsive when I had issues. During the power outages in the big freeze, the electrical surge fried system components. They were able to fix it and get my heat back on. Recently, my sister needed AC work and the planned fix and quote seemed way out of line. I suggested she get a second opinion from these guys. They came out and offered an appropriate fix to her system, replacing only needed parts instead of continuing to refill her unit with coolant until a complete system could be installed. She would also recommend The Original Kingwood Air

Just had furnance check by Enrique and he went the extra service to repair some duct insulation and add a missing drain cap. Additionally, I asked Enrique to go over the proper way to clean the a/c unit coils. I feel very comfortable about making sure the coils stay clean!

Excelente service, I have been using other local providers and I have been charged for unnecessary things and products that eeee not really needed. Original Kingwood Air came to my house and performed evaluation and told me everything is running good. They open the AC unit and review components I didn’t know where inside my unit. I can see the technicians are not only knowledgeable, but they care about providing a good service to their customers. Fair price as well

First the replacement of the AC was very good and fast, no issue with the work.The issue is I told the salesman that no-one lived up stares and I could wait to schedule the AC replacement, I also told him we would be selling the house in the coming future (it was R22 system and it worked over 20 years, Lennox is good kit), but I was not told that my new system refrigerant was being phased out R410A to either R410B or R32.The bottom line is I have purchased a new unit that will not be serviceable in the next few years. If you need an AC, you have no choice but to get what is on the market at the time. From what I saw Lennox still does not have an AC that uses the new refrigerants.My issue is I was not told about this new refrigerant change out coming in 2023, I could have waited 6 months or a year.

Weve used Kingwood AC & Heating for years...we have maintained a service contact with them, and this is the third full install theyve done for us (first was replacing a builder grade unit that was underpowered, second after Harvey). Only issue this time was a bad receiver for the fancy thermostat, died the night of install, they were there to replace the next day. They even went so far as to install a temporary outside unit while we waited on the new one (pandemic production issues, apparently). Consistently pleased with their service (and the Lennox products).

I have used The Orginal Kingwood and Air Conditioning for many years and have been very pleased. During their last visit the technician found a clog under our sink where the condensation drainedthat would have caused an overflow. We were leaving on vacation for a week so Im thankful KW AC went the extra mile to prevent a flood in my house while I was gone. I have recommended them to my friends and give 5 stars with no hesitation.

I have been using Kingwood Air/Heating for over 10 years. CHRIS did spring maintenance on my HVAC system today. Was having trouble with the thermostat and he patiently checked it out. Turns out there was nothing wrong with it. The problem was ME! CHRIS explained everything and showed me how to correctly use the thermostat. Other companies would have probably tried to sell me a new one. They have always been honest with me and never tried to scam me. Always come out the same day I call. Had a new HVAC system installed a couple years ago and love the new system. Never any problems with it. Great company to do business with!!!

My AC stopped working. I stopped by the office and requested a quote for a new system. She took my info down and said the Outside Sales man will call. I waited 3 days, in June, with no AC. Never received a call. Called the outfit on corner of Business 1960 and 1960 behind the gun indoor range. He came that afternoon, went to his shop, called me 2 hours later with my options. The following morning crew came in replaced the unit outside, everything in the attic including rearranging it for easier service access with new ducting to all rooms in a little over 8 hrs. Cleaned their work site and hauled all their debris. It does not take much effort to return phone calls if your really care about getting business.

They install ball valve on the clean out less than a year ago. The valve started leaking due to not being properly glued and damaged our ceiling. My kids room not has a big hole from water damage. They told us there was nothing they could do and would not fix my ceiling.Also about a month ago we have a capacitor go out. The service tech came out made the repair. We paid him theN a few days later get a call stating they under charged us and we needed to pay the difference.Very unfriendly receptionist and horrible customer service. DO NOT USE.

They have always been punctual on our appointments. I love them they use shoe covers after working outside when they come into the house.

I would not recommend. They want to replace systems rather than parts. Easier for them to replace entire system and more money for them. Also charge $80+ per pound of freon. Average system holds 12 pounds. They installed a lenox evaporator that developed a leak after it was out of warranty and then offered no special deal or consideration to replace or fix issue, not even a discount for freon. Buyer beware.

Worst experience of my life. They came out to diagnose the problem and 4 hours later still didnt know what was wrong and charged me $88.00 per hour $396 total. Said they would call me the next day and I never heard from them. They wont return my sons calls either. The owner finally returned my sons call and apologized for the experience and gave me a refund of $264. All is well that ends well.

Do not use this company once they sell you your unit and replace everything in your house and you pay in full. Trying to schedule yearly maintenance etc. or if you have an issue let’s just say it’s not a pleasant experience extremely rude staff in office. I’ve had more neighbors use MADD Air and have been very pleased with their service wish we had used them as well!

Extremely knowledgeable, Very timely with the response to her problem. These should be your go to guys for HVAC. Plus it’s a good idea to go with the service plan.
