We have had Blake from Ellis Air out 3 times over the past two years. Each time he is personable, reasonably priced, and takes his time. His ability to educate and explain HVAC issues is the best Ive seen and he really takes the time to communicate the problem and even offer solutions and repairs we can undertake ourselves or troubleshoot for the next time. As a woman I can tell he still treats me as competent and capable of caring for my own home and communicates equally with my husband and I about problems and repairs which I really appreciate. Thanks Blake and Ellis Air - very impressed with your commitment to service!

The ten year warranty doesn’t seem to cover anything on the unit they installed. I’ve had my less than 4 year old AC go out twice recently. I feel I would have been better off keeping my twenty year old AC at this point. The service tech was very prompt and professional. One star for the warranty shenanigans and 6 stars if I could give them for the service tech.

We have been less than impressed with Ellis. In July we had them come out and service our system because it had frozen over a couple of times. $95 seemed like a good deal and the technician said everything was good to go. Fast forward 2 months and we have issues again. The issue was explained to my husband and it seemed like something that should have been caught back at the service in July. Even the technician that came out this time (different guy) eluded to the fact that it should have been caught back then.This call was on a Friday. The tech said they indeed had the part in stock, but we would have to wait to get emailed a quote and agree to it and wait until Monday to have it taken care of. This didnt make a lot of sense to us because my husband was happy to have the part taken care of right away so we wouldnt have to spend the entire weekend in 95 degree plus weather with no AC. We would have had no issue agreeing to the quote right then and there. My husband called the office and asked for a call back from a manager that afternoon.After a miserable weekend in the heat and buying a portable AC unit so we could sleep, we finally get our system fixed Monday afternoon. The amount of coolant that was needed (after 2 months ago everything being just fine) seemed to prove the point that something was not done correctly back in July.My husband has yet to receive a call from the manager. We truly feel that if the technician had done the job correctly back in July we would have found the problem at that time and been able to have it taken care of. That would have saved us a little bit of money with Ellis, and a lot of inconvenience of being without AC completely over an entire weekend.

Its refreshing to have a technician show up when they said they would. I really appreciate Taylor McCann having integrity and not seeking to make an extra buck off of a customer who knows little to nothing about HVAC. Instead of charging me three times the price for a part that costs 34 dollars, he gave me the option to go pick the part up myself. He made my electrical system safe and went to another service call. After I purchased the part, he came back to my home and put the part on for me. That may seem like nothing to some but to me it is a display of customer service at the highest level. Not only that, he holds a great conversation while he works! Thanks man.

Great response from the answering phone call to communicating time of arrival. Arrived quicker than my expectation. Serviceman explained what problem was and had parts on the truck. I called to have my system checked and also wanted them to check the system as to why the fan never stopped running. The system is only two years old. The service tech who came out was very professional and after going to the attic he returned to tell me that there was a wire touching another wire and that was why the system wouldn’t shut off. I’m very happy with the service tech and the service I received!!!

The company was unprofessional. I called to have my AC looked at. The woman who answered the phone said the HVAC specialists would call before arriving. No phone call just a knock on the front door. Not a big deal, we were expecting him to show up eventually. But honestly what really caused me to give them a one star review was the lack of transparency with how much it would cost to just diagnose the issue. At no point did anyone discuss pricing on them literally just looking at the system. Please be aware they charge a service fee before even fixing the issue, which is totally understandable but what if a person couldn’t afford that? And they were unaware of the fee because at no point did anyone state the price. They did diagnose the problem but honestly I would recommend going somewhere else that doesn’t charge $95 dollar to just diagnose the issue. I honestly expected my AC to be fixed quickly but instead I was told it needed to be scheduled which sucks because it’s been out for a week. Just my opinion!

We had our AC condenser replaced by Ellis Air and their service was great. They sent two guys(Tuck and Manuel )out and they were professional and dedicated. They check temperatures throughout the house and check other things to ensure that the system was functioning correctly. You can give Ellis Air kudos for employing people that are caring about their customers and that are passionate about their job.We have always had great service from the office staff and the technicians that come to the house. Buyer Beware, dishonest and immoral business.We had a new system installed just over a year ago. When we were getting bids one of the reasons we chose to trust Ellis air was their staff led us to believe that if we had any issues during the warranty period they would take care of it. We have been having issues with our system, and called them today. They want to charge us a service call fee to even come look at our system, and stated that only the parts would be covered under warranty, any labor we would have to pay for in addition to the service call fee on a system just over a year old. Their front office staff was rude and continually interrupted me when I called to ask for their help. Rude and unprofessional. Feels like the classic over promise, under deliver from a sleezy sales man. Once they have your money they no longer care, unless they can get more. They tell you one thing, but the fine print says another. My fault I guess for trusting their word instead of reading the contract.Update: After seeing this review Ellis air called and offered to take a look at the system free of charge if I would be willing to take down this review. Offering to make things right or work with me this morning wasnt an option. I was told I should have read the fine print, and unless I was willing to pay they couldnt help me. Now they are willing to work with me. I told them I felt it was more important to let potential customers know how they should expect to be treated than to save myself a few hundred bucks. You decide, is that something an honest company would do?!?

The tech was very knowledgeable and got my AC cooling as desired in about 1 hour work time. My AC was just not quite holding temperature and was just about a 1 lbs low on refrigerant. Total cost was right at $230. He also fixed a drain spout that had been put in with two different size pipes and wasn’t draining properly. 4 star review is because they told me they would be at the house between noon and 4PM. I called the business at 4:30 when nobody had shown and they let me know I was still on the schedule and a tech called at 4:45 to let me know they were on there way and arrived right at 5PM.

Ellis Air came out and recommended replacements for our two AC units. When I called two have the replacements ordered and installed, they came out and installed them in two days. The installation crew was very professional and installation was really great. I am very satisfied with the new ACs and their operation. Thank you Ellis Air.

I have been without air in my home since 8/9/24. I put in a work order with my rental company and they sent Ellis Air out to my house today to fix the problem. The technician Taylor was very professional and knowledgeable of his job. He knew right away what the problem was and took action to get the job done in a timely manner. They did an awesome job of removing the original system which was too small for the house and installing a system better than when the house was built. We feel spoiled now and our energy cost actually went down because of the change. Definitely recommend Ellis Air as a go to contact for AC needs.

Chris Bailey came to my home and did a great job of explaining our HVAC system to me and what would be done when it was cleaned. Estimate was done in a timely professional manner, and prepared very quickly. We had granite cut in our home, and they had some good ideas for tiffing our home of the substances in the granite that were dispersed throughout our home. Nice work. Thank you.

I shared a review that I do apologize for. AC went out and thought I would go with someone else for reference it was 97 degrees in my home so I was a bit agitated. HUGE MISTAKE other company said whole unit had to be rebuilt, way wrong was a tiny elbow with a crack. Side note Ellis installed my whole house system and I have been very happy. Tech found the problem in about 5 minutes, problem solved. Saved me about 2000 dollars. Learned a lesson stick with pros and settle for nothing less. They saved me a lot of money. Go nowhere else. New build with an arctic blast weekend-perfect time for the heat to go off. Luckily for me (and my animals), Ellis was able to come out and reprogram the unit that same day. Mr. Barron was exceptionally professional, thorough as he checked all things (thermostat, breakers, unit), and expertly got the heat blowing again.Those answering the phones were also very reassuring and supportive. Made 0 effort to contact me while present in the household. My ring camera shows the technician knock on my screen door 2 times and leave a note. Stating to call them back. When I call the number it goes straight to the their office and I’m told I now have to wait til another technician is available. So I’m now working on their time as to not inconvenience them. Meanwhile my ac is due for a service and is acting up. But what do they do for their customers? Not much, “see you next week sir” . Very unfortunate how they treat the consumer.

I am sitting in my HOT HOUSE right now. I was called today and told the only availability was after hour with the time 4pm -8pm. They got the approval from my landlord to come out after hours. So I was told I would be on the schedule. It is now 8:10pm still no call or anything. I also let them know I have kids including a baby who I just left from the doctor office who is sick with a fever so we really need this fix today. No shows up left messages as well as used there text services and that said someone will contact me shortly… guess what no one contacted me and now I have to pack up my kids including my sick child and see if my mom is home so my can can be cool and not in this hot house. I’m very upset right now

I cannot thank the Ellis tech that came out to my house and gave me a second opinion. I live out in Kempner so I originally called Airheads in Cove when I had an HVAC issue. They came and upsold me a bunch of things I didnt need, one being their comfort care where they come check your system every 6 months to ensure efficiency. I took the 1k hit and blamed myself for not being informed and not checking the prices/total their first visit. But when they came out to check my system 6 months later and all of a sudden I needed to pay another 2k I was not going to fall for that one again.I called Ellis and they came out the very next morning. My tech checked over my system and could not find anything wrong. He went even further, hooked up every monitor/gauge and walked me through every item that Airheads said needed replaced and educated me on why they did not need replaced. He was very proficient, thorough, knowledgeable, and personable. I wish I knew his name to thank him properly!Will definitely be calling Ellis for any future HVAC needs!!

Home ac unit stopped in the early morning hours today. Called the GoTo AC Service Company Ellis Air Systems at 7:30am. Jerry the office manager arranged on short notice to have a technician stop by the house and troubleshoot the issue. Jerry sent one of his Star Tech performers, Wendell. Wendell was very professional and conducted a systematic troubleshoot for our non operating air conditioning unit. Identified Compressor failure.Submitted a replacement order for the compressor. then Wendell took it to the next level and provided a window ac unit to cool the house down until the compressor can be delivered and installed. This took it from a first down to a touchdown ... Ellis Air Systems checked all the boxes again. Thank You.Ellis Air Systems has provided Quality Service to our house for the past few years. Rafael and his team showed up on time when they said they would. They explained what they were there to do and promptly got to work instilling a new 3-1/2 ton unit. Unfortunately not long after it started to rain. They continued working diligently through it all. Once the work was finished the team thuraly cleaned the area they were working in. Rafael took the time to explained the system and how it worked, he answered everyone of my questions. These guys were very professional and efficient with the installation. Chris Bailey is amazing!!! He was very prompt and gave a courtesy call when he was on his way. He took care of the maintenance the AC needed and even went above and beyond. I appreciate his professionalism and his caring heart. I can tell he loves what he does and it’s because he loves helping people in need. Why do we need an AC Technician, we are usually in a desperate situation especially in this Texas weather so it’s always refreshing to encounter a soul like Chris Bailey. Had a great experience with this company. They gave me a day and time frame to expect the technician and he called me when he was on his way. Earl was very professional and knowledgeable. He checked my system, determined the problem and fixed it quickly. He didnt have the part he needed on his truck, so he quickly went back to the shop and got it. Very customer service oriented. He didnt try to upsell me an entire new system as one of their competitors did the day before, which is why I called Ellis Air for a second opinion and Im sure glad I did! Earl saved me thousands of dollars by only doing the work I needed. I will definitely use this company in the future!

We called them to fix the leaking issue due to clean out being clogged for business property. They didnt finish the job, still leaking and gave us estimate for $8000 to replace whole AC system. The AC is still blowing cold air even its leaking. Their estimate say nothing about the problem and they cant tell us whats causing the leak.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!I want to start off with this review from a person that is in the business where Customer Service is very important and it is what keeps the doors open for repeated customers. Ellis Air Systems and their teammates are absolutely phenomenal!The ac unit in my house was old, outdated, and it was on its way out. I called Ellis Air because I wanted a company that is local and if I ever needed service, I know that they are a arms reach away.Mr. Chris arrived to my house to inspect the old unit and the house to see the best options suited for my needs. He is very polite and professional. I told him the budget I was working with and the concerns I had with the cooling and heating of my house. Not once, did if I feel Mr. Chris was trying to sell me something I didnt need or push me in the corner for a sale. He actually said, I have better units, but it would be out of the price range. He reinsured the unit he pick out is very good and it would take care of the concerns I had with the house. We agreed on the sale and the technician would be out in couple of days.Now here is the magic. Isaac the technician and his crew had me up and running in one in half days! Let me explain that I had complete change out. A new 5 ton outside unit, new inside unit that is in the attic, 12 ducts, 3 returns, and all new piping. Isaac and the crew are polite, professional, and very knowledgeable. I told Isaac my concerns of how the back of the house is not getting enough cooling and heating through the seasons. He explained the old unit in the attic wasnt in the proper position and the piping to the back of the house were too long and the ac had work harder to keep the house cool and this explained my concerns. He installed the new unit in the proper position where the piping wasnt long and had shorter runs . What a huge difference!After the install was complete, I wanted to push the new unit. I usually keep my house at 76 degrees with old unit and on hot days, I would put thermostat to 74 degrees to keep the back of the house cool, but it would struggle and be on for long durations. I push the new unit to 70 degrees and it did it without breaking a sweat! My old unit would never get to 70 degrees. Due to the relocation of the unit in the attic, I have notice that the duration when the ac is on is much shorter to keep the house cool.I am a 100% completely satisfied customer and highly recommend Ellis Air Systems!

My experience with Ellis air was the best I could ask for! My A/C stopped at the peak of summer which is obviously the worst possible time. I called a few other places and was told to get a new unit. Ellis air actually came out, diagnosed the problem, and fixed what was actually wrong. Wendall came by promptly to check everything out and called aboutu 10-15 minutes ahead of time. He was very nice, professional, respectful, transparent, and quickly found the issue. It took about a week for the part to come in and to get it installed. He was a joy to talk to and learn more about different things to look for regarding preventative maintenance. I cannot thank Wendall enough for helping me in a desperate time in need in between it being extremely hot and us getting a cold front. Best HVAC company Ive worked with in a long time! We worked with several people at Ellis who all gave us stellar service. We came in looking for a second opinion after struggling with our first, and they saved us over half the cost in the initial visit. Being a person with high anxiety, I came with a lot of questions, follow up calls, and never once did I receive rude remarks or anything. We were set for an appointment and they brought us a temporary unit so my husband could work in peace, and in less than 4 days (cause of a weekend) we have a brand new unit installed by very accommodating staff and techs who are very knowledgeable! After the install we were shown how everything works, in great detail, and advised if there’s any issues to go ahead and call. We also are eternally grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to us during the process, as it took a fair bit of effort to fully clear everything in our bank account. If ever I have the chance to recommend this company I will. These are PEOPLE for the people.

I made an appointment for them to come out to fix our AC. While making the appointment, I told them where I would leave the key for their tech to get in. I was not home when Sawyer, the tech, came in. Instead of leaving the key outside where he found it, he left it inside. In addition, the lady on the phone was absolutely rude and unhelpful about me being locked outside of my home. Sawyer also left quite a few lights on in the home. Its now over an hour later and I have not received a call back.

We built our home 5 years ago. Ellis installed the HVAC unit. We’ve had issues every winter with heating and every summer with cooling. Well here it is summer time again, and once again the outside unit won’t turn on. I called them on a Sunday morning and requested help ASAP (it’s 100 degrees), and was told a technician would call me but I’d have to pay extra for after hours. Fine by me. Nobody ever called. I call them first thing Monday morning and they tell me they can’t get to me till Tuesday. I called someone else and they’ll be here today. I won’t call Ellis again.

Ellis Air Systems is by far the best company we have ever dealt with!!! After 23 years, our old residential Lennox HVAC finally gave out in September 2020. We shopped around and received HVAC replacement estimates from several local companies. Ellis Air Systems was the most honest, professional, caring and informative of all of them. Bartt Mighell promptly came out and gave us an honest, fair estimate and assessment for a total system replacement; we went with Lennox again. The next day Adam and Jesus (sorry, I didnt get their last names) came out for the installation. They carefully, respectfully and tirelessly did the installation and explained everything to us, with full attention to detail. A week later Chris Bailey and Steve Martin came out at our request to make an adjustment to the blower speed and they also did a proactive full system check and provided us with very helpful tips on proper use and maintenance of the system from getting the right air filter to even allowing for proper drainage of the condensation pipe to the outside and proper care of the compressor. From front desk, to estimate, to installation, to service ... Ellis Air Systems were/are 110% professional! We are grateful to have found such an excellent company and very much appreciate the respect, courtesy, confidence and peace of mind they gave us on top of awesome customer service! We highly recommend Ellis Air Systems. We are very pleased with the service we receive. They service our system in the Spring and in the Fall as part of the Cool Club. Chris Bailey’s recommendation of the system we needed and the insulation for the ducts has made a real difference in our heating and cooling bills. The staff care and are very professional. Chris, Eric, Preston, Mario, and Mason have each helped us. We truly appreciate everyone we’ve dealt with at Ellis Air Systems. We had an issue with a part under warranty so Eric explained the difficulty and contacted management. I called this morning at 8am. Jerry was prompt in answering the phone, extremely polite, and got to the issue quickly and effectively. We had a technician at the house by 11:30am. Chris was incredible to work with. Polite, respectful of our home, and over all a genuinely nice guy. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the part within a half hour. Chris was amazing. We had issues with our AC unit and he fixed it, explaining everything that he did and providing tips on what type of air filters to use and how to clean the drip pipe. The overall price was much less than expected considering all he did and the amount of time he was here (1.5 hours). The technician was very friendly and they were able to fit us in next day. Came out to fix one problem a couple days later we ended up with another problem 700 dollars later and waiting about 3 weeks for the second part to come in and be installed. I know its there busy time and this was our first time using them so I know we were not a priority but there seems to be a breakdown in communication with emails and office staff.

Huge shout out to Ellis Air. At Peaceable Kingdom by Variety (nonprofit summer camp and retreat center serving kids with special needs) weve been using Ellis Air for several years. They never disappoint. Our most recent need is worth noting. The day prior to over 50 kids arriving for a long weekend retreat, our HVAC went out in one of our lodging areas. Its Texas, in Sept...we need AC. We called Ellis, not only were they out within a few hours, but they were able to replace the unit that day at their regular, reasonable price. Best AC repaire company around. My Air was not cooling They replaced my fan motor, and didnt fix the issue, another company wanted to charge me $800 dollars for another fan motor. I called Ellis back and spoke to the manager, he send out his senior technician and he was a bad fan motor, he replaced it and didnt have to pay anything else. The Manger, technician and ladies answering the phone all excellent, respectful and very professional, I will definitely use them for all my HVAC needs. Strongly recommend

Please read to the end! Well, had a whole new HVAC system installed a little.under two years ago. This is the second time that the system has started blowing hot air, I know its.peak season but but IM not a Happy or satisfied.customer. I retract this review. Within 20 minuets of placing my call for service, Ellis Air called me and had a Tech at my house within 45 minuets, now that is a FIVE STAR customer service! 6 year update!! AC needs to be replaced only to find out Ellis did not register the unit for the full ten years of warranty with the manufacturer. I w as told that it was my responsibility, but was not told that when It was initially installed. Only words on invoice showed ten years warranty and off to the side upon registration ..that is all it says on the invoice. Technician sure did not tell us to make sure to register the product.Called Ellis Air Systems due to heat pump on AC not working. They installed this system around 6 years ago. The technician quickly found the problem and gave us the bad news that the system lost 16lbs of Freon and that is why it was not working. He gave his suggestions and was very professional... really appreciated that. He was a top notch guy who was very friendly and explained everything in layman terms.Only issue I had is the system does not have a warranty anymore. IF you dont register the AC unit with the Manufacturer, then you dont get the full ten years of warranty on parts. Even though the receipt says (upon Registration), we were not told to register the unit. If we were, we sure would have registered it for the extra warranty. So if you get a AC system installed, make sure you register it at the manufacturers website.

Extremely unhelpful!! I booked an appointment with this company a week ago and patiently waited for my appointment. My system has been out for a week in this Texas heat! I even called and confirmed the appointment two days in advance to ensure they took my warranty! The appointment day comes and they state “they don’t have me in the system and maybe I booked with someone else!” I stated everything I was told (their 70 something dollar initial fee and billing of parts if needed). Even after the receptionist confirmed this was their process (so I’m not crazy), she wanted to book me for 5 days from now!! Absolutely not, so I can be “rescheduled” again! Service was remarkable! Adam was responsive and was able to answer all of our questions and was able to set up an appointment that was Convenient for us. Although we fell short of communication and weren’t able to Meet the techs early and had to be rescheduled, they made sure we were straight and provided us with an alternative option while we waited for our unit to be installed. Adam arrived an hour before we were told to deliver a window unit for the meantime and assured us that we would be taken care of in no time. Contacted Ellis Air to come out which they did, I was informed the service fee was $ 75. Purchased this unit from them in 2013. The tech didnt have the part in his truck called the office to order the part came back the next day to install it & I was charged $150 because the tech said that there is another charged to go back to Killeen & come back out back out because there are over 60 different units & they cant carry every piece; but all they had to do was ask me for the model #. Ellis was the way to go! I was very pleased after they installed my new Goodman, 15 Seer, 5 Ton heat pump. Their people did an excellent job removing the old unit and installing they new unit in about 6 hours. Very disappointed in the quality of work for having my ducts cleaned. The technicians were great guys, good to conversate with, but that was the highlight of the service. My comparison is based off family who had it done with another company.1. Their price is expensive for the quality of work. (I paid $45 per vent, parents paid $35)2. I had to clean my house after from all the dust and piles of debris left by the technicians. (Parents technicians cleaned up behind themselves)3. I have been dusting non-stop since the service as if all they did was loosen the stuff and not clean it out. (Parents didnt have to dust for a week because the vents were so well cleaned)4. No visual representation of what was actually cleaned out; during or after. (Parents got to watch a live camera feed while they cleaned and see the final waste bin of debris)5. Speculation, but their hose was maybe 20-30 feet long at max. My longest run is almost 80 feet. HIGHLY DOUBT they actually cleaned the entire run.5. Ellis also performed an AC tune-up/inspection 2 days later and 3 times I was reminded on the importance of the filter facing the right direction when the Ellis cleaning crew was the last to remove and replace that filter and I even told the the tech, the first time, Im aware and it wasnt me.Sadly, I trusted the service when I had to pay at the end. Should have inspected first. Now I have to call and pay another company to come do it right.

On 4/7/21 Adam Crawford installed a new warranty ac wrap for my Carrier AC. The old wrap was literally falling to pieces, possibly from the sprinklers hitting it. Adam was able to get the new wrap on warranty, saving us $2600.00. That was a tremendous blessing!Adam replaced the wrap after cleaning up the unit and made sure it had a good vacuum before replacing the the cooling fluid. This was labor intensive and Adam did not rush it.While this was taking place Adam installed a micro pure and uv light on the main unit for total home air purification.Needless to say, we are more that pleased with the service. In our experience with Texas weather, the inconsistency of temperature can cause our heating system to be on the fritz. This is a great local company. Nothing but honesty and intregrety when it comes to services. I was having issues with my AC thermostat programming. I was able to figure out the problem and fix the issue before they actually arrived. Great service!! I had my yearly service a week ago. The tech took pictures of the cooling coils. They were horribly dirty and corroded after only 7 years of service. I requested an acid wash the following week. The service tech removed it and had to clean it 3 times to get all the build up out. System works great. Called on Thursday 05/21 around 10 am to place service request, guy said the soonest is Tuesday because of Memorial Day, explained we are a hotel and is the second floor common area unit, they are our go to HVAC company, spent thousands of dollars in the last few years, he said all companies are busy nothing I can do about it. I asked to speak with someone else but he refused saying hes the manager (Mario I believe he said) and nobody cant help me. I asked so do I need to find another HVAC provider? he said thats your call, cant help you, I just had a meeting with owners and those are the wait times for now. The so called manager was rude as hell, maybe company is growing so much they dont care anymore. Mister PATRICK Is the man. He was able to listen to me while beinging bothered by previous, vendor. He went on to check the system. Me and my family had been without a working AC UNIT, during the triple digits. By the time Mister Patrick came to our family rescue, it had already been pass 30days. I have 2 UV units which Ellis Installed when we closed on our house in 2018. My coil UV light went out in early spring and due to COVID supplies were on back order. In September my coil uv light finally came in and it was installed. I had asked in the early spring for the duct uv light to be ordered as well because both bulbs were 1 year and when the coil went out the other was sure to go soon.In November David R. came out and there was a communication error and the coil unit bulb was replaced by accident which had just been done in the month prior. I didnt stress over it because now I have a brand new back up bulb for the Coil for later down the road, but wanted that duct bulb. David said he would let the office know and they would get back to me.After a few weeks I called and luckily they had the duct bulb which I needed in stock and they could send someone out the same day to install it. To my luck it was David R. again.David called me with his ETA and also asked if anyone from the office had called me about the price of the bulb. I stated no and figured it was another uv bulb and it couldnt cost that much more than the coil unit. Well he told me that it was going to be 375.00 for the bulb. I told him I need the unit either way and I would call the office. So I called and spoke with Mario.Mario is the Office Manager and was super nice on the phone. I told him what the tech had informed me and he stated that the duct bulb was a little more than the coils but there seemed to be an error in price. Mario told me that the 375 was too much and it was going to be lower. Even better was they werent going to be charging me for the service call because they did not have the unit in stock originally when they came out to change the coil unit and since I wanted both changed at the same time and they couldnt they waived the fee.Both times David R. was amazing. Very professional and explained everything to my wife who was home both visits. Thank you very much to David R., Office staff, and Mario the Office Manager for taking care of My family. I scheduled an appointment for a check up on my air conditioning system last week. I spoke to Mario and confirmed the appointment for Tuesday of this week. The appointment was scheduled for 4:30 pm but no one showed up. When I called the office I had to leave a voicemail and followed up the next day because no one called me that evening or the following morning. When I followed up the next day I spoke to Mario again and he seem surprised, telling me that someone should have called me because they were running late and had to reschedule or cancel appointments. I rescheduled my appointment for today at 4:30 pm and once again nobody showed up. I received a call around 4 pm from Mario but couldn’t answer due to being on my bike. I returned his call approximately 10 minutes later when I pulled up in my garage. He asked me if there was anyone home and I reminded him that we already had this discussion and someone would be here at 4:30pm and yes I was home. He said he would contact his people and have them on their way but now it’s 4:46 pm and no one is here. I finally get a call at 5:05 pm from a technician asking me if I wanted them to come by the house for an AC inspection. I kindly declined after hearing too many excuses from Mario. I’m not sure what he does there but I’m not impressed and very disappointed after wasting my time twice.I’ve used this company before with no issues but this is ridiculous.

Update: My system was wired to work in a way that isnt the standard. It was to no fault of the company. Due to this crazy weather I was more frustrated with not knowing what was going on! They came back out promptly and fixed it and now my heart feels really really good. Thank you to Chris, Chris and the rest of the team for being so helpfulI recently Bought a new hvac system through this company . In Killeen we are having freezing temperatures and I’ve activated my emergency pump (which was the crucial part of me buying a new system ) and it is not working properly . As in the main thermostat is set to 74degrees but since it has been on the house reading has been dropping and soon it’s going to be at 60 degrees and so on freezing out my 6 month old and i . If i turn the regular heat back on my electricity system says it’s utilizing over 20kw. I was told this new hvac system would be saving me money as compared to the 18 year old system that was replaced . Please help

My wife called for a technician to come out and fix our tenants A/C. She explained the problem with the A/C to the technician and they said they would fix it. We authorized for coolant to be refilled. The technician had the tenant leave their A/C off for 24 hours so that it would thaw out. The technician refilled it with free-on, but did not fix the temperature switch. The unit was trouble shot incorrectly and they wanted to replace the core. This problem did not need a core replacement. Our property flooded due to the thaw that the technician had the tenant do.The technician then accused my wife of cancelling the service call and he argued with my wife on the phone. As a professional service technician, they do not argue with the caller and if anything, should have called their boss/manager with any problems. This did not occur and the tenant was left without A/C for the weekend. I called a different company and they repaired the unit for less than $500.00. I called the company after receiving the bill and the manager, also denied the incident and did not offer any apologies. As I read the rest of these reviews and understand all of their technicians are not this way. I would suggest to the company to find out who was called to my home and the other review below that had the same problem of flooding to hold that technician accountable. I will not use this company anymore and before anyone does, make sure you find someone who will be professional throughout the process.

Had a whole new system I stalled in Feb 2016 irs 5 months old and the heat turns on at the same time as the ac. Reported the problem 2 weeks ago Ive had 4 service calls in 2 weeks, 1 part was replaced didnt resolve the issue called back tech comes out disconnects the heat totally problem stops. Call back tell the office the situation and let them know they need to order a different board to replace according to the tech, 4 days later I call back and ask about the part to find out they never ordered it yet. I feel like Im being jerked around and that they could care less since they aint making any money on the job.Ive asked numerous times for the warranty info and receipts for the systems and the repairs and the company wont give me any the info. At this point Im about ready to hire someone to fix the brand new system and make Ellis pay for it since they wont fix the problem, 2.5 weeks with the same issue, 4 service calls later and it still isnt fixed properly and the part hasnt been ordered yet. Not a company I will continue to use after the warranty is up, I will find someone more reliable.Ellis sent a tech out on a Sunday and he went through the whole system and repaired it, now its working great. Thank you for getting my system back to normal after 2 weeks of it blowing heat.

Ellis Air Systems out of Temple and Killeen sent a great tech out to our home to do regular maintenance service to prepare for TX winter and turning on heat. We have just purchased this home 2 yrs ago. So, about 1 yr ago the older outside heat pump unit went out. The Home Warranty of America, company that covered our home/ appliances the first year sent their designated service choice, (it wasnt my choice), HVAC company to inspect and replace the unit if necessary. Sure enough, the unit was fried, the HWA company okayed the order of a new Goodman, and replaced outside unit. All was good, so we thought! So, fast forward another year. Bart, from Ellis Air, came by our home recently to do a scheduled annual HVAC inspection. He had replaced both straight thermostats to heat pump thermostats before any of this had happened, because the current thermostats were not heat pump specific! Since he had done that job, and was familiar with our situation of the new unit outside, he was surprised when he discovered the new installed Goodman was NOT a heat pump unit. Bart caught the fact that the new unit installed in place of a heat pump unit was a straight AC/Heat unit. We are thankful for Bart bringing it to our attention. He didnt have to do this, he could of done our scheduled inspection and moved on. No big deal, but, it was to Bart. He is certainly a man of integrity, we appreciate him taking the high road and helping us correct this wrong. Since this happen, the other HVAC company has agreed, it was their mistake, and is taking full responsibility to replace the straight unit to a heat pump unit. My neighbor’s dogs decided to chew and rip out the wires while I was pet sitting. Eric Taylor was the tech for the job. He was very understanding, as he has dogs of his own. He fixed the AC in a timely manner and resolved the issues as he would his own AC when pets are in the equation. To anyone reading these reviews in search of THE BEST and the most AFFORDABLE A/C and heating service in Killeen, Ellis Air Systems IS IT!!I own a home in Killeen but am currently stationed in Fort Bliss. The tenants currently renting my home complained that the A/C wasnt working, so I called a different A/C repair company in Killeen. (The first in the phone book) I was given an exorbitant quote to repair a leak and fill the unit with freon. I was also told that the unit held 12-15 lbs of freon and that since there was a leak, I may have to end up paying the $600-$700 again in a few months since they dont guarantee the leak repair. The representative then suggested purchasing a new unit at over $7000.00!!!I then got online in search of a second opinion. I read the reviews for Ellis Air Systems and was impressed by all the positive reviews. I was also impressed that someone from Ellis responded to the two reviews that werent positive. I called them immediately (Mar 27,2015) to schedule someone to come out. It was after business hours on a Friday. Jason called back minutes later.Once he was out there, he checked the line and informed me that the suction line was previously repaired. In fact he said that whoever repaired it did REALLY good work. He also said that if there was a leak, it was so small that it would take a really long time to deplete the freon. I was also informed that my unit only holds 8lbs of freon versus the 12-15 the other company said it held. He then asked me if Id ever called Ellis Air Systems before. I told him no, that I only read the reviews and called them that day. He said hm, I swear Ive been out here before. Anyway, Jason filled the unit with freon, informed me that I didnt need to replace it and couldnt understand why the other company saw a need to replace it. He then gave me my total and told me they would mail my invoice promptly.After returning to the office, Jason called me back and said that he HAD in fact been out to my house before. :-) He pulled an invoice dated for February 13, 2015 where the current tenants had called Ellis Air to repair that suction line after running it over with a lawn mower. Jason was the tech that repaired it! (He knows REALLY good work when he sees it :-)) He also noted on that invoice that the tenants declined to add freon at the time and would see if the landlords would pay for it.To make a long story short, I was stressing out about having to pay $7000.00 to replace a unit or paying $600-$700 to add freon now, only have to pay that again in a few months due to a supposed leak. The technician (Jason) was VERY informative and honest about the repair. Not only that, but he remembered being out there before and noted the invoice. We ended up being able to charge the tenants for the cost of the repair since they ran the line over with the lawn mower. I would have never known had it not been for Jason.Its difficult being stationed somewhere else while renting a home in another state. With HONEST and AFFORDABLE companies like Ellis Air Systems and RELIABLE, INFORMATIVE and HONEST techs like Jason (with a good memory to boot) it makes it easier. Thank you Jason and Ellis Air Systems for EVERYTHING!!! Ill be using Ellis Air Systems & Jason from this point forward and would recommend them to family/friends still in the Killeen area. Theres a reason theyre voted #1.Jason took SO much stress off of our shoulders that weekend and I appreciate you immensely. When I get back, I hope to be able to shake your hand.

We called Ellis Air System to come in and check up on another companies work because they said we needed to replace our system and feeling that it could be a scam we wanted a second opinion. Mr. Bartt came out this afternoon and after meeting myself, my husband and dogs got right to work.He quickly found the problem which turned out to be the previous guys doing. Mr. Bartt explained what the problem was and gave us the honest truth about our older system and the fact that at some point things may have to be replaced to keep us cool.When that time comes we will without any hesitation be calling Ellis to get the job done. Call in to get a new system change. They did the job well, but lost the check i gave them. I gave the check to a guy named matt and he print, signed, and date of when he received the check. They even threatened to call the cops and get me arrested. I had to run to bank again and make another check to get this issued resolved. Now my account has been charged twice and now Im out of 9985.58. Thank god I had enough money saved up in my savings or i would of been in jail. I called last month for a service check special, guy came, did a little check and replaced the capacitor ( w/o consulting first ) told me i replaced the capacitor, blow the lines ( i do that every two months ) and here is the bills. ( around $150 ( service check specials was $75) i was on a hurry, so i just paid and go..two days ago HVAC started acting up ( fan stoped) me being a hands on guy ( opened the system ( capacitor hot really hot) i went and bought a new one $30 and replaced. When connecting i noticed the D head had wired the capacitor wrong and fan was blowing backwards, blowing hot air in not out... yeahh i am sure they have qualified techs i guess i got the one that didnt know what the hell he was doing. Not happy ( note to self next time double check before i pay)..
