My parents A/C went out yesterday. Adam from D&D came out this morning and made the repair. He did a great job in a timely manner, and the fee was reasonable. Thank you for getting to us so quickly! My parents have used D&D previously and have always been satisfied with their service. I appreciate that they have been able to fix the A/C each time so far, without suggesting a replacement. I would definitely recommend this company for ac/heating repairs.
My elderly Mom had an emergency with her AC unit. I dont live in Houston. I got a prompt reply from DD Mechanical Services. They had her AC fixed within 2 hours. Thats gold. Thank you so much for helping my Mom!
We have been customers of D&D Mechanical since 2006 and have had very good service. The techs are knowledgeable and show up on time, well within a few minutes of the scheduled appointment! They check our two heat pumps twice a year and, so far, no breakdowns.Try them for really good service.Chris.
My HVAC unit was old (1988 inside, 1998 outside) and not very efficient. D & D got a new system installed in my home and our comfort level went way up. The crew was great and worked fast to get us the comfort and quality of service we have come to expect. Thank you to Draven, Clay, Adam, and Derrick for making our home a little more cozy this winter season.
The first time I hired them they were great friendly I was happy with there service. The two gentleman who came out were very respectful. Fast foward to a year later the first hot day I turned my AC on would not cool down. Come to find out where the braised the cooper together there was a tiny. Pin hole. After calling the secretary was not very friendly. And gave me the run around told me between 10 -1 he showed up at 510. Now I understand people run late a phone call would have been all I needed. So after the few minutes the service tech. Admitted it was there mistake. It happens. But they did not wanna gurantee there work. Didnt even attempt to fix it. I would have like the opportunity to talk to someone hire up who. May have gave me the opportunity to plead my case so if I get a response from the owner. Threw this review i would just like too explain the situation .
David from the D&D Waco location came to our house and serviced our HVAC system and did a great job. Our unit is older but functioning and we were not ready to buy a new one yet. David was able to clean it all up and changed a couple of air ducts so we can improve the air flow to my parents room. Couldnt be happier with the results for our older unit. Hoping it will last a few more years. Thanks David for the great work.
We had a few bumps in the road with our installation, but got it relatively OK by the second day. Pleased that a new attic stairway was installed. Had to repaint and try to clean up oil on the driveway, but acceptable now.Unit circuit breaker clicked off when later turned on AC, but your man came by promptly and got it going again. So, we are pleased at this point.
This company came to my ranch and gave a bid to repair an outside cooler. The bid was for roughly $6000. I had another company give a bid as well. Their bid was less than $1000 for the same work. I had the work done by the other company. D&D sent me an invoice for $450.00 for the bid that provided that was $5000 more than the other one. I refused to pay the invoice and they hired a collection agency to try and collect. I contacted D&D and they told me that the invoice would stand. I asked if they informed anyone that there would be a $450 charge for an estimate and I got no answer. I highly suggest you watch out for this company.
I have used this company for multiple HVAC repairs and installations. They have always done a great job at a fair price. I have also referred them to many of my clients and the feedback has been awesome. Thank you all at D&D Mechanical. Keep up the high quality work.
HATE THE FACT I HAVE TO GIVE A STAR TO POST. SHOULD BE ZERO OR EVEN NEGATIVE STARS. I would recommend you DO NOT use D&D Mechanical of Kerrville, TX for you HVAC issues. 23NOV21 I had D&D come out to look at my heat. Thermostat makes normal clicking sound but air handler does not come on. Tech arrives and after a bit says air handler has blown fuse and he thinks thermostat is bad. Replaces thermostat and unit works. Tech says he left A\C running and departs. Bill - $104 to come out, $78 for a non-programmable thermostat and $86.84 to screw it to the wall (HOLY HELL $86.84 to put a new thermostat back where one was already located – HIGHWAY ROBBERY). On 25NOV21 I go to turn on heat and thermostat makes clicking sound but air handler does not come on. Same as before. No one is in office (holiday then weekend) so I wait until Monday to call D&D again. Tech returns and says AGAIN fuse blown but now it’s the contactor that turns on the heat strips. Every time heat strips come on it blows the fuse. Replaces contactor and since then no more blown fuses and heat works fine. Bill - $104 to come out and contactor is covered by warranty. Total bill for both visits $380. Obviously proper diagnostics were NOT performed on the first visit, otherwise the tech would have found the contactor was the issue and NOT the thermostat. The thermostat was just the easy answer, and if it blows again they will simply charge the customer $104 again. After all the customers have money to spare. I contacted the owner and his answer was “What’s my tech supposed to do, sit there for hours and watch for it to blow again?” My answer – run it through its paces and make sure the fix sticks. Properly troubleshoot the unit. If he would have turned the heat on and cranked it up until heat strips came on it would have blown again like it did a day later. A simple ohms test of the contactor should have shown it failing and blowing fuses. Either way my biggest complaint was you are charging me $104 twice for the two calls and it should only be once since the first fix didn’t fix the issue. The owner says “It’s like you take your car to the garage and it makes one sound and next day makes a different one – does not mean they are related.” Dumbest comparison ever. I say if the car has a flat, and you change the wrong tire, then YOU didn’t fix the original issue and shouldn’t charge me another visit fee. Since the thermostat and contactor are two different parts the owner says the two separate $104 charges stand. Even though both parts resulted in the EXACT same symptoms. Both issues occurred only a day apart. Both visits had same blown fuse. A bad thermostat one day and mystically overnight now a bad contactor. I don’t buy it but the owner of D&D Mechanical is obviously more worried about $104 dollars than customer service and admitting to their technician’s mistake. Steer clear of these folks, they may BE local, but they DO NOT act like it. Only worried about the ALL MIGHTY DOLLAR.
D&D Mechanical recently installed two Variable Speed Comfort Link II heat pumps and AC units, and Xl 1050 control system at my house in Kerrville. The team led by Derek performed outstanding. Took out the old units and matched the previous installers duct system. Great job and fair price. Very skilled and knowledgeable company.
I would like to thank D&D for their true professionalism when installing our new AC/Heat system. They babied our old system. Continued to help us. When installing the new system everything was kept clean. Crew was professional, clean could not have asked for anything more. The crew diagnosed the a small problem with some ductwork and solved it. Words cannot express how happy we are. I would like to thank: Donald, Jennifer Attridge, Draven Soto, Efran Castillo, Adam Hernandez, Derrick Kampfhenkel. I will not use any other AC company. You will not be disappointed. They respond to to job and stay until it is complete. OUTSTANDING. Five stars is not high enough.
Everything with the AC checkup went great from the initial phone call to the actual repair which was charging only. Technician was professional, knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. Will look forward to recommending this company to friends and clients.
Had them install a Trane which is made in the same factory as American Standards. A price was agreed upon along with an invoice from their office to confirm this. The owner when he showed up with his crew, stated the price agreed was higher. (a much higher price). We then to an agreement after he blamed his office staffer who suffered from Migraines or something like that for sending me the invoice with the lower price.Well the crew built a wood platform for the inside unit with four legs rather then a top flat surface anchored to the closet walls so it can be checked for level. This is so the drain pan fills evenly to prevent spills onto the floor from inside the unit. The platform they built liked like a project from a first time shop student. The person rewiring my existing thermostat, yanked the wires from the wall for slack, not realizing there was slack in the wall but the wire ran thru the closet attached to sheetrock and covered on a decorative cover. When he yanked that wire, the mounting in the closet was tore up. When I notified one of their techs, the one who sold me a Kool Kap, no one returned my call to address my complaint. At a later time I called their office, I was told they will NOT SERVICE THE UNIT THEY SOLD ME. The owner, apparently not only blamed the young lady who drew up the invoice and listed the price agreed to but blamed me for a perceived wrong. I was never told by the owner face to face or over the phone of his methods of doing business by refusing to support the very product he sold. They say nothing can stop a TRANE; but maybe a poor business person and poor workmanship can.I apologize to the young lady at the desk, answering my call. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately, I heard the news concerning her boss approach to doing business from her. As a result I was angry. He could have picked up the phone, but he did not. And to the employee who suffers from Migraines, I hope you didnt lose your job or have to listen to him rant.I dont recommend this company. The young lady who answered my calls
Great business to work with! They show up as soon as I have an issue and work to get it fixed as quickly as possibly. Their work is top quality and they stand behind it! I couldnt ask for anything more. Thanks for always taking care of us!
Excellent customer service. Derrick knows his stuff and always shows up when he says he will. As long as I own property in the hill country they will be my a/c and heat guys, Christopher Mathews
Just seemed a little expensive for changing filters, checking ducts and checking the systems. I thought they would have waved the service charge of $69 with 4 hours of labor at a $104 rate. We should have gotten an estimate first - I guess that was our fault for not asking up front.
Never did any busisnes with you but had a horrible experience with one of yals drivers who tried too hit me on the highway run me off the road put my life in danger purposely have videos and pictures of the truck and driver enough said if your willing too put someones life in danger on the high way I would never do business with yal.
Long time Kerrville residents. Very honest folks. Fair priced as well. Their work is guaranteed. They stand behind their employees and their work.
