Carquest Auto Parts - BEST AUTO PARTS

This is the best auto parts store in the Hill Country. The people working there are actually knowledgeable, and the manager was super helpful regarding my transmission problem.

Mid quality parts.Rude staff.Prices are equal to OEM for aftermarket/ 3rd party.o’reillys has a lot friendlier environment and OEM is almost half the cost of here. Never again.

Saw that they were running a special for Fram oil and filter for 28.99 plus tax. Ad also said you could add an air filter for $8.00 plus tax. Got my oil and went to pay. Asked about the price and was told, he wasnt sure. Looked it up in the computer and found it, but the air filter would be an additional $12.00 instead of $8.00 and I would have to pick it up at a different store. Passed on the air filter and got the oil and oil filter. I asked to make sure it was $28.00 before I paid, and was told yes. I paid $34.63, and the guy looks at the receipt and says, oh, I dont know I guess it was $32.00 plus tax. How do you not even know the prices of your specials or whats included? There are too many other auto parts stores locally that sell the exact same products. Why would I choose Carquest again when they dont even know the price of what their selling?

Had to have my battery tested as I was told needed new 1. Young man grabbed the tester ,checked it & was still fine. Gone in 5 minutes. Very nice young man & knew exactly what he was doing.

Found me some wiper blades for an old vehicle and were very helpful in creating a solution to make them work for my application. Best little auto parts store this side of the Guadalupe.

Took an Echo chain saw in for repairs, waited over two weeks for someone to call and let me know what it needed and how much the repairs would cost, never received that call. When I did finally receive a call it was to tell me the saw was repaired and I could come pick it up. No big deal but I do live 30 miles away so the fewer trips the better. Got the saw home, checked the fuel, oil, chain, etc. and spent the last 45 minutes trying to start the saw. Not gonna happen, it still wont even try to start, nothing. But the good news is, I got my exercise in for the day. Perhaps the chain saw repair guy should look for a different career. Looks like Ill be searching for a different repair shop or buying a new saw.

This used to be my go-to place for parts. NEVER AGAIN! Staff was rude and I had to make four trips and they still couldnt make a hydraulic hose that worked for me. SO if you have a John Deere, this is not the place to go. Pony up and go to the Deere dealer. You will save time and money!!

Underwhelming custom service. Large store. Still didn’t have what I needed and didn’t offer to order...Found the fix with much friendlier attitude at o reilly.
