Evan was on time and addressed the problem in less than one hour. Granted it took a little time to get all the kinks worked out. Not James or Evans fault. The manufacturer shipped late and there was a valve that had to be replaced when it got here. However these men gave us their best; they worked every day trying to get better air for us, even out of our old unit while waiting for the new one. They came after hours (no charge to help us). They sold us excellent equipment at a fair price. They did great work and picked up after themselves and always made sure we were happy with the plan. They and their assistant (helping a future AC young man learn the ropes) were a real pleasure to work with. My family was blessed to have them help us with our whole new system and new duct work. For the first time since we owned the house we have good air in all the rooms. Thanks guys, and blessings from the Ellis family.

Our AC began to blow cycles of warm moist air, then cool air. Gradually, there was no more cool air. Of course, this was leading into the weekend! We didn’t want to encounter any weekend fees on top of who knew what costs we would would face. We did know that we had to get relief from the over 90° temps. A family member deals with serious complications of a heat related illness. The high temps, combined with high humidity, are life threatening.We didn’t know who to call. Our son found some good reviews online for James Rector AC. First thing next business day, we called.James Rector answered our phone call. He rearranged his day to first accommodate our situation, and was here in 45 minutes. What a blessing. We also asked about costs. He gave their hourly costs, as well as refrigerant costs in case that was needed.After one hour, a thorough system check, draining the pan and clogged line, plus 2.5 pounds of refrigerant, we had cool air coming in.James Rector worked efficiently and professionally. Called J.c.Rector AC and heating. At 8:00 a.m. they came right over by 8:50 a.m. a capacitor was replaced.. were up and running again. You dont get any COOLER in the Texas Heat ...then Rector AC!

Jose from Dawson was great - he was very professional and arrived at our home about 20 minutes after calling the company for help when our A/C stopped working. He got right to the problem and had us squared away in 15 minutes. Highly recommend!

Dawson provided a pic of who would be showing up and provided updates of his arrival. Evan was very professional and listened to what was wrong and went to work immediately to remedy the issue. He explained what he was going to do and once finished, let us know and asked if we had anymore problems. What a wonderful experience!

Very professional and they provided quick service. Found the problem and parts on order. Update: the repair was scheduled to take 6 hrs but Evan had the old coil remove, new coil installed and the system up and running in a couple hours or so. Highly recommend.

I had an emergency, the drain line was clogged and water was seeping onto my floor. I called and the technician was at my house in less than 30 minutes and this was on one of those 100+ degree days. Im sure they were swamped, but they took care of me right away. I have used Dawson A/C & Heating since 2015 and have always had great service at a reasonable price.

Fast service, called them early am and my unit was fixed and running within 2 hours. I highly recommend Dawson Heating and Cooling! I would definitely use this company for service and or replacement.

Dawson has worked on my A/Cs in my personal house and my rental units for years. Just last week, the hotest week of the year so far and in the heat of the day, they replaced a compressor. They did not try to sell me a new one as they noticed that the old one was still under warrenty. They filled out all of the paperwork, took back the bad one and installed the new one they picked up. SAME DAY, no deley. They are always quick to respond and very reasonable on their prices. I never call anyone else.8/11/23. Evan was just out today. He was early, he bet me here. He serviced all 3 units at my house, different types; 2-R22 split ststems, and a 410A heat pump and threw in some leak seal in that one. He did not try to upsale me on any services or any of that tomfoolery. It is 102 outside and within the hour he was here, Im now sitting comfortably inside at 73. All that and the most professional and polite service anyone could ever ask for. These guys are for real and Ill have no other in my house. Dp

Dawson Heating and AC was instrumental in repair of my Champion AC at a fair price. Last AC company put on the wrong fan motor because this particular AC was too complicated. The proper hook up of 8 wires to hook up to a fan controller and then 3 wires to the variable ecm motor. It only lasted 9 months. Dawson had new correct motor and controller shipped to house to be installed within 2 days. Going back to the 11 wire system as it is designed. This is not a normal off the shelf system but not too complicated for Dawson.

Heating/Cooling went out on my 5 ton system. I have two HVAC systems (5 ton/4 ton). I tinkered with the programmable thermostat. Checked the breakers. Nothing worked. Evan showed up on time and fixed it in no time flat. Apparently some genius messed with the programmable thermostat and it quit working. I have no clue who that would be, but Evan just smiled and let me down easy. I use no other company for my HVAC service. They are a class act.Update. Lightning strike surge took out the capacitor in my 4-ton a/c and I had the float valve in my 5-ton a/c stuck. I had a 98°F house in 106°F outside air temperature quickly. I called James Rector at 11:30am and he was able to get to it by 2:30pm after other service calls in Comfort, Fredericksburg, and Harper. Same day service is hard to find these days in the HVAC service industry. This is a company that values integrity, professionalism, competence, and customer service. They have my highest recommendation.

We have been using Mr. Rector for several years now and he can always be counted on to get to you as quickly as possible. My AC stopped working in the middle of the summer. I called him at 7:00PM and he actually answered the call. He said he would squeeze me in first thing in the morning and he did! By 7:45 the next morning he had figured out the issue and fixed it! I have used him many times in the past and he has always been quick, reliable and affordable. I would call him before anyone else in the hill country! He is great. Highly recommended!
