Greg and Shelly are professional, honest, and truly went above and beyond to fix my Volkswagen. I was so pleased to find them, after going to numerous mechanics who were rude, dishonest, and saw me as nothing but a cash cow. Greg was so kind as to fix my left axle, and replace the lug nuts free of charge. He worked quickly and my car now runs perfectly! I am extremely satisfied with the customer service I received, the competitive pricing, honesty, and quality work that was done. Greg and his wife Shelly are amazing people, and their service is professional, fast and top-notch.Being single and raising two boys, my budget is always stretched. As a Christmas gift, Greg changed my front and rear brakes, did an oil change, and repaired my oil leak. In essence $800 dollars worth of parts and labor was fully discounted! Im so happy to have found this auto repair shop! Our truck was in desperate need of some TLC. Greg was able to diagnose the same day and provide a clear breakdown of what we needed immediately and what we would need later. We had our vehicle back in 2 days. I even took my sons car the next day, and he looked at it right away and took care of it immediately. As a woman, its hard to trust some of these places because they just want to poke your eyes out, but I did not get that at all. Greg and team were very professional but personable as well as helpful. Just moved here from AZ. Got the oil changed and had several other things checked. Working on changing registration to TX this week. Will be bringing the car back in next week to take care of the other items. They told us things we needed to know to finish the registration. I took my son’s car there after he ran over a curb. Something was dragging on the road and it made lots of noise. I was also concerned that maybe the wheel itself was damaged. I pulled up and a guy named Greg … I think.. came out and said he would put it up a the rack and look at it. He could have told me that the whole wheel was going to come off and I would have believed him. Instead he had a mechanic pop some plastic parts (HONDA) back into place and secure them. He removed the piece that was dragging on the road, checked the wheel and said you are good to go! He said I could order that plastic thing but it cost 300 bucks plus a hours labor.Anyway, being a woman that knows little to nothing about cars, I have been taken advantage of plenty of times, as I found out later.These folks are honest and that is so appreciated!

After taking my 2016 Camaro 2SS to 3 different shops in the area that weren’t able to fix my car, I decided to give first choice auto repair a try. I dropped my car off expecting to wait weeks. However Greg got my car working perfect within 2 Days after dropping it off. They all seem very knowledgeable and will be my new go to mechanic.

The reviews were indeed accurate about Greg and his shop; they were very friendly, straightforward, and seemed very honest. After chatting with him, it became evident that its a family business, with his long-time mechanic working alongside him. He didnt even charge me any money for the minor repair. Wow! Greg Moss was excellent to work with! He is very communicative and fair with his prices. He replaced my AC condenser on my truck and had it back to me the next day. He called me after he looked at it and gave me options and his recommendation. I do almost everything myself but some things are out of my wheelhouse. He is now my trusted mechanic. Easy FixI was having trouble with my Honda Accord 2016 skid plate because the skid plate corner was crumpled and damaged due to physical ground contact. At first, I called other auto repair services, and every one of them called it for overprice...($200 $100 and so on) However, I love how he fixed the crumpled skid plate easily and for free! I will definitely visit next time as well. (Call Greg first about the problem.)

My 4Runner hood would not open. Texas Toyota of Grapevine said I needed a new latch release cable and wanted $800 to install it. I took it to Greg. This shop was such an amazing experience. He was super friendly and answered very quickly through Facebook messenger, the lady inside in the office was super nice as well! He let me swing by and took a look at my car and gave me a free quote! I ended up brining my car back the following week. Dropped it off at 9am and it was ready for pick up SAME. DAY. at 4pm! Reached out to Greg Moss based on all the great reviews and referrals for my sons 2015 BMW that was acting weird. He made time to look it over and when dropping it off took the time to ask my son what was going on with the car. When he called to tell us it was ready he clearly explained what he found. My husband and son went to get it and he showed them exactly what it was and what he did to fix it, fortunately something minor. Greg did all of this for free! He refused my husbands offer to pay him at least for his time which he still refused saying it wasnt a big deal to fix and check out. We will bring all our cars here from now on! It was Tuesday when I called Greg that I was heading out of town on Friday for vacation and my Wifes car started shaking that morning. We have 4 kids and her car is the primary transportation for them. Greg after hearing my situation, Immediately made space for me that morning, replaced the rotors, brake pads and gave us an oil change the same day. I called First Choice auto because my roommate had dealt with them and said I could trust them.I called last week and Greg said if I could come in between 9 and 10 on Monday they could look at my car and let me know what needed to be done. After looking at my car Greg said I could come back tonight and pick it up. I told Greg that I lived in Haslet and didnt want the Uber driver to have to deal with the traffic and the trains that I would pick my car up in the morning. He asked if I could hang around for awhile and they would fix my car. When my car was ready Greg asked if I would like him to reset the maintenance required light (which should have been reset with my last oil change) I asked him to also reset the check engine light. I was told by a previous mechanic that it came on because I didnt know how to use the new gas cap when I had $800 worth of work done on my car for air leaks. When Greg hooked up his diagnostic meter to my car none of my air leaks had been repaired. Avoid any important auto repairs near Highway 26 and North Harwood.People are brought into our life when most needed. Im thankful to have met Greg and his wife.Im sorry this is so long but its not often you meet people that make a difference.

Gregg attempts to charm customers with nonchalant statements like I dont just want to take your money, but thats exactly what he did. I came to Gregg for a pre-purchase inspection, I told him the car had a code but wanted to know the overall health of my car. He said it would be $85, I obliged, and he said Ill start looking at it in a few minutes. Gregg oddly asked, Are you staying? I said, I dont have to; I only live eight minutes away Before I left, the car was sitting in the drive. Eight minutes later, Gregg called to tell me the car was ready. I found that odd but happily doubled back, thinking Gosh, this guy works fast. When I returned, he stated the car was fine and recommended basic work like spark plugs, and brakes, then stated there were no obvious major leaks, he verbally made generalized statements like these cars are great, etc. I wanted to know the health of my specific vehicle in detail. Gregs report/checklist was so vague, I called him back and asked if this receipt was missing a report with common details like the life of suspension, fluids, brakes, internal modules, and A/C check. Gregg didnt have an answer for me and asked What can he do to make me happy, I told him, An actual report, this looks like you didnt even look at the car, theres no VIN and the mileage is incorrect. He said, Come in for a refund, when I returned, Gregg was adamant that he Lifted the car, removed the tires, test drove, and checked fluids, I said, How? did you notice the car swaying to the right and the vibration in the steering wheel when the A/C is on? He replied, You didnt state the car was vibrating...why would I need to state something so obvious if youre the mechanic and looked over the ENTIRE car? Gregg would have noticed these issues if he test-drove and actually did the work. Gregg kept mentioning his trustworthiness, 15-year residency, and 150 Google reviews. After receiving my refund, I decided to look at my dashcam. Gregg waited until I left the shop, then left my car sitting until I returned. Theres no footage of Gregg pulling the car into the shop, opening the hood, or driving. There were cars already in the shop that were never moved. So how did he look underneath my car without putting it on the lift? If youre a college student beware-seems like he thought I was stupid enough to believe he was an honest mechanic merely because he said so. Statements like that only make me judge your honesty more. Heres the invoice below.

I cannot recommend First Choice Auto enough. I needed my water pump changed sooner than later and Greg Moss came through for me. The dealer wanted my Jeep for 3 days for the work and every other place wanted it overnight. I was in and out of First Choice Auto with same day service at a fraction of the time and cost. Greg showed me what was wrong with my vehicle, what all needed to be repaired or replaced, and why. In the end, there was no upcharge or unnecessary add on services or repairs. Greg was amazing. Its so hard to trust a mechanic today. I posted for recommendations online and I got a PM from a friend to call Greg. Greg got me a price for my A/C replacement on my 2012 Toyota Sienna that was hundreds cheaper than the cheapest quote I received thus far. I dropped off the van and Greg greeted me right when they opened at 9am and I got a call by 1:30pm that the work was done. I have ice cold A/C in my van now. Went to First Choice Auto and met Greg the owner. He was straight forward, honest, super friendly and was very professional. Told me exactly what was wrong with my truck. After having multiple quotes from other auto shops, Gregs shop was by far the best price in the Metroplex! I will be going to First Choice Auto for all of my automotive needs from now on. We took our 10 year old vehicle in to a well known/often suggested automotive repair chain for a road trip check as we had a long driving trip coming up. They identified about five pretty major things, a few fluff things (“we recommend all fluids be changed at 100,000 miles, etc”). The estimate was $4500, more than half of the vehicle’s value. We called around for estimates from a few shops others recommended to us and by a couple hundred dollars, Greg offered the best price. He did almost all the recommended work, told us a couple things weren’t necessary, found a major issue that had been overlooked by the first garage, and our bill was less than half the first estimate. He got us in the next day and we had our car back the day after that. Greg is an honest, down to earth, knowledgeable mechanic. Highly recommend using his services.

Our 2011 Tahoe was not delivering cold air. They were able to order the whole compressor kit and have it installed the next day. The price was more than fair, and they walked me through what caused this issue. I could not recommend another mechanic more. Greg treated me like we have known each other for years. Great customer service and they were able to identify the sensor causing my check engine light to come on and replace it quickly. They were also able to evaluate, for free, recommendations from a chain repair shop and save me from making unnecessary repairs and wasting money.

Best repair shop around. I took my daughter and grandsons vehicles in for work after getting extremely high quotes from Firestone. Not only did they do excellent work but they beat the competitions price by a mile. Will definitely be back.

Very Disappointed in the owner Greg, we bought a RV from him that to his words runs great and the engine was in great condition. Drove it home and by the next day it wouldnt start. We tried calling and texting him numerous times and he never returned our calls.After having a mechanic come to our house and fixing it he walked us through everything that was wrong with it.We basically got a lemon and Greg knew it and he made an easy 2500 off us.Shady place and dishonest mechanics, save your money and go to a honest place of business.

I took my car into Driver’s Edge and was quoted $2200. I was told that my brake pads were so low they needed to replace my rotors. I told them no thanks and called First Choice and was quoted $505. About 30 minutes after dropping my car off, they called to let me know that I only needed my back rotor replaced. I will be bringing our cars here every time! They are not in the business of ripping their customers off. I am so thankful for them. On top of all of that, they finished my car in less than an hour!

Had a noise coming from my engine after a long cross country road trip hauling a trailer. Was told by a franchise mechanic shop that it was likely a serious/costly issue involving the oil pump. I wasn’t sure that was the issue, so after a friend’s recommendation i took it to Greg Moss at First Choice. He said that while it was possible that could be the issue, it was likely just low on oil and we’d see after that (I checked the oil prior and it was low, but didnt realize just how low it was…) After a simple oil change which was due anyway, the noise is completely gone and running as good as ever.I would absolutely recommend First Choice Auto Repair to anyone looking for an honest, friendly, & family owned auto shop, and will only take my truck there going forward.

Brake and rotor replacement. Explained what was needed and what wasn’t and delivered in a timely manner below the cost of “big” auto shops. Never feels good to have to get a car serviced but you will at least feel you were treated fairly.

When you look at the pictures of this shop dont let it scare you away. It might not look like much but the mechanics are fantastic. I brought my 2001 Honda Accord in for two oil leaks and they repaired it by 6pm. The process were very reasonable and I will definitely be bringing it back to them for any further repairs.

Saw the good reviews and decided to head over because I was visiting in town and had a big rattle under my car. One of the mechanics took time out of his day to jump in the car and do a test drive and do some quick tests. He then sent me to a suspension expert that he knew of, all at no charge.
