This company should be called “A Fantastic Deal”. Called them in the last year. Both times extremely pleased I every aspect of the business. Both, John and Tom Foster were very professional, pleasant, fair in suggesting what really needed to be done. No trying to upsell anything. Integrity, honesty and punctuality are valued by this company. Will definitely be a very happy repeat customer.

Amazing experience! Heater went out a few days ago. Went to a corporate competitor first, quoted $3000 for needed replacement part plus charged extra fee for after hours service call. Called A Better Deal for a second opinion. Andrew came out, on a Saturday night, with no additional after hours or weekend fees and replaced the same quoted part for $700 in less than an hour!I will recommend this company to any and everyone I come across!Thank you Andrew for all of your hard work tonight! A Better Deal is the best HVAC company I have dealt with. They are available all hours of the day and night. We have had Andrew show up at 2:00am to ensure we had heat. They have a great warranty, reasonably,priced and above all else they are HONEST!

Nearly a decade ago, I replaced my furnace and A/C system. I was told that if I continued to use A Better Deal to perform semi-annual inspections, that the warranty would continue indefinitely. This week, my thermostat failed rendering the unit inoperable. They replaced the thermostat at no charge since it was warranted under this original agreement. This saved me more than $900. I couldnt believe that a business like this today still maintained a high level of integrity and honesty. Our A/C went out last summer over a holiday. Andrew was able to come to our home about 11:00pm. Fixed the problem at a reasonable price.Our unit is over 20 years old, so we knew the time was coming. Rather than wait till it quit, we moved forward with a new Lennox unit. Upgraded a tad to accommodate our square footage. Today we installed all new ductwork to replace our existing failing and full of holes ductwork. Our heat is amazing, so much better than the aging system we had.So, thank you, A Better Deal. VERY SHADY - I got an outrageous quote for $980 for a blower motor replacement - When I asked the price of the part….things went south- Called the office…lady plays dumb and says call the tech…call the tech and he won’t answer the same question- I turned them away immediately after they couldn’t answer a SIMPLE question. Needless to say I ordered the part for under $400 and my cousin and I had it in by 20 minutes. Save the $500 in labor for a simple 20 minute repair - STAY AWAY and find an ACTUAL Better Deal…

Ray is great, on time, courteous, he has been serving my 2 hvac units for the last 2 years. He fixes something if it’s broken and doesn’t try to sell me a whole new unit.When I need a new unit I’ll get it from A Better Deal.

Very impressed with the service we got. We had a leak in our AC unit that was soaking the carpet in the room next door. Called A Better Deal at around 6:30 p.m. and had a technician at our place by 9:30 p.m. His name was Andrew, and after looking it over, he said we would need a plumber due to it being a pipe issue. Then he came back a few minutes later with a tool to unclog the pipe that he had in his truck. Within seconds, he had it fixed, and at no charge!! Will definitely keep this company in mind next time we have any need for an HVAC repair.

Whatever you do, call anyone else. This is the most dishonest HVAC company I’ve ever talked to. They told me I needed to replace my compressor so I believe them and then the one that they put on completely blew out my unit now they’re trying to charge me $13,000 to replace the unit. They will take advantage of you call anyone else.

My tech Andrew is very knowledgeable and honest. This is my second time using this company and they always do a great job. I had anothrt company come out before Andrew did and that crazy company told me I needed a new unit. Called this company and it was the total opposite. I will always use these guys for my HVAC needs.

We got a second opinion after having Top Gun Air come out, and wow, Andrew and the team are so honest! They care about you and what you need, he was even able to stay and do a minor fix which got our second unit blowing cold air in minutes. We set up the maintenance program the same day and are now a customer for life.

Amazing, trustworthy company! Over the last three weeks I’ve had three different HVAC companies come out! Still no AC upstairs only downstairs. They came out two hours after I called and fixed it at a very affordable rate! The technician that came out was very polite, professional, and well dressed! Excellent company I will be using them in the future for sure! These guys definitely know what they’re doing! If I could give them a 10 star rating on this, I would!

Never go with a Better deal company. My system is Trane and when they said there is a leak, they even did not do a full leak test. Told me there is leak in a coil, then gave quote for another brand coil, not Trane but in the quote still wrote that is Trane coil. They actually installed the different brand name coil into my system without letting me know.After installation the electricity bill still high and takes long time to cool down, I called again and they said there is a leak outside. I told them that why the first time they did not do the leak test, there is a chance that the leak is already there on the outside part. So I don’t have to waste $4000 just for replacing the coil.I do not trust those people and the way they do business.

Our air conditioning stopped blowing cold air after 8pm on a Monday and I was able to call to schedule someone to repair it the same day! Great customer service, fast and responsive. We ended up needing a new capacitor and they were able to install a new one on the same day. We highly recommend this company!

We found A Better Deal several years back and are always pleased with their service. Naturally there is a slight panic when your A/C system decides to go out, especially if it is late in the day/evening or on the weekend. Without fail, every time weve had to call, we have received prompt service at a fantastic price.

The outside unit on our heat pump went out on Sunday 8/27. Every place I called was booked until Monday. I called A Better Deal at 3pm and was told someone would call between 5:00-7:00pm. Gregory called at 4 and was here soon after. He advised what we needed and the cost. He said they could install the new unit Wednesday 8/30 and did a quick fix so the unit would cool. They called Tuesday morning 8/29 and said they had a cancellation, so they got it in a day early. They are definitely on speed dial!

I have used A Better Deal for nearly a decade now, and I will not use anyone else. Andrew has always been a straight shooter with me, and has always gone above and beyond in order to make my repair complete. I have on numerous occasions had Heating & A/C work done by him, as well as several light fixtures installed. Hes extremely knowledgeable, does excellent work, and is totally fair on his prices. In the elecrical/heating & air realm, its difficult to find someone you can trust, but Ive found that with A Better Deal over and over. Superb company, I highly recommend!

Andrew came out to give an estimate for my daughters home due to insufficient original A/C installation by home builder. He was prompt, personable, professional and provided more information than just the quote. He suggested the original mechanical installation might be deficient and how to approach that situation with the contractor. My daughter has been using A Better Deal for at least ten years and Andrew has always proven to be helpful and available at all hours. He is definitely amazing.

Our A/C stopped working in the middle of the night and it was 83 in our house. I called them at 1 am and they came and out and it was fixed by 4 am. By far the best response time I’d ever seen. And it was cheaper than most other places we called that couldn’t come out till the next day. Only $25 service charge and that was waived if you decided to use them to fix the problem. Very happy with their customer service and response time. Will definitely use for all future issues and recommend anyone who needs something repaired to use them.

The 1 star is for their cheating, which is a really horrible behavior to me!The business owner is pretty nice, so we preferred to use them again when we had AC problems. But it turned out that, they put a wrong sized motor for us made our AC not working well. They send another guy to replace a new motor, we really appreciate that. However, that guy complained how hard to remove the old one and put the new one on, I felt sorry for him. BUT, he told me that our Freon pressure is very low and we HAVE to fill it up IMMINENTLY for $425. I told him we just filled Freon last summer, should be ok. He couldn’t answer it and just said probably leaking somewhere. I didn’t trust him. We called their company to have another one to come, and they said will someone come and couldn’t tell me an exact time. I waited them for a whole day with a 90 degree temperature at home, and they didn’t show up. After 10:30 pm, they told us they may show up in 1 hour, it’s after 11:00pm. I don’t feel comfortable to have someone come to my house at midnight with only myself at home. I kept my AC turned down for two days and had another company come, they told me the Freon pressure is no problem at all, no leaking and not low pressure, it’s still the system problem. I feel so mad, the guy who was trying really hard to let me to fill Freon for sure lied me and was trying cheating me $425. And I called their company to complain about that, but never got a phone call back.It’s SOOOOOO unprofessional!!! Don’t cheat your customers!!!Hope my experience can help you all to avoid some AC repair traps.

Wow! Top notch service. Our A/C upstairs went out, which is always stressful. It was over 100 degrees out and we have multiple animals, a toddler and 2 kids. Our toddlers daycare owner recommended this company. Her A/C went out on a Sunday and they fixed her up very quickly and she raved about them. (Shawn was who assisted!) We called and they came within an hour! Took him about 10 minutes to diagnose and about 35 to fix it! Greg was who helped us. He was great! Seemed very knowledgeable. We had freon put in by another company not too long ago and Greg told us that too much was put in and couldve been the cause of the issue. It was VERY fairly priced and quick! Our new go-to company! You wont regret calling them.

Few years back we had problems with our Heating and Air Conditioning System. A close friend of mine, recommended A Better Deal Heating and Air Conditioning people..They very professionally did the installation and said, if we maintain regular preventative service, I get Lifetime warranty.Since than, there were, occasionally some problems. They would come over and fix them, on time, without, Hesitation.So, when A Better Deal says Lifetime warranty, they really mean it.

Our upstairs A/C was blowing hot air, so I found an AC contractor through one of the popular online service-matching portals. The company was prompt to send a technician to assess the problem. After an hour of diagnosis, the technician informed me that the compressor for the unit has burned out and I need to replace it. The company said they can offer me a great deal to replace the whole condenser unit with a brand new one. I was not convinced by the assessment and wanted to get a second opinion. One of my friends (and neighbor) recommended A Better Deal and I called them up for help. Andrew visited at the scheduled time and found that the refrigerant was low and there was a blockage in the tube resulting in the air not getting cooled. He replaced the refrigerant dryer/filter and the problem was fixed. He charged me a reasonable fee for the refrigerant and the repair that was a fraction of the price quoted by the previous company. I am very satisfied by the excellent diagnosis and service provide by Andrew, as honesty is the key in doing business and building client relationship. Glad I found A Better Deal.

I went through the ringer and got attacked by a tech at Air Technical today, a company sent by my warranty company.So naturally after that attack, I was super nervous about bringing anyone else out.I fired the warranty company, and...The tech from A Better Deal came out the same day. Needed a new upstairs unit for the house. Andy gave me the breakdown of 3 different units and their benefits. After selecting the unit I wanted, I scheduled a time for the install.Two guys came to perform the install. They were very professional and worked all day on the upstairs unit as well as the outside system. The system is working great and is keeping my upstairs nice and cool. Andrew is thorough and efficient. He came for a 2 am call to check our AC unit with due diligence. He explained all our options patiently, with insight that showed his knowledge of his trade. I was extremely impressed and would recommend his company for they are willing to come anytime of day or night just to help, no extra charge to the $25 service fee. He didnt even take the fee from me at 2 am! I myself am going to mail it in on my own accord bc he deserves to get paid for coming out at 2 a.m. and diagnosing the issue with such competence and care!

We have been using A Better Deal for a while now. Today woke up to the power to the thermostat not working. Called them and within 45 minutes there was a technician at the door. Within 15 minutes troubleshot to ground in the attic unit displaced and wiring shorted. 20 minutes later back in business. Total charge with them is always extremely reasonable. I highly recommend this company for their expertise and honestly in a very hit and miss business.

I called A Better Deal Heating & Air because the previous AC tech from another company failed to come out to fix the issue that they created the previous day. When I called A Better Deal I spoke to Angie who was very polite and professional throughout the call. She indicated that Tom would arrive around 12-2 in the morning. I told her that it was fine since no one else was picking up or was booked. Not even 30 minutes later Angie called back and said that she was able to up the time from 6:30-8:30. I told her that this was great. I was just about to book a hotel room for the night. Angie showed empathy and understood completely about the situation. Tom called me and gave me the heads up that he was on his way said that it would take him about 30 minutes. Tom was precise and arrived in 30 minutes! He greeted me said that he will check to see whats wrong with my unit and he did. The capacitor was broken and Tom was able to replace it. Tom did a fantastic job. He even checked my filters and educated me on how and when to replace the filters. He stated that within four hours the house will be blowing cold air throughout and it did! I am very thankful and pleased with the services from A Better Deal Heating & Air. They have a new customer now! I highly recommend this company!

A-Better-Deal/Andrew was referred to me by my one of our go-to general contractors for HVAC work, several years ago. To date, I have never regretted my decision or their work!A-Better-Deal, has always been on time, no B.S. , and delivers exceptional quality and ownership of their work.After nursing my 17 year old twin AC units, one finally had to be replaced. A-Better-Deal, exceeded my exceptions yet again! On time, highly competitive pricing and to me as important, they cleaned up the job site when the job was competed! Too many times, be it Roofing, Landscaping, Fence Repair, etc, I have been to the point of begging these contractors to please pick up after themselves! It is outrageous, but I digress.Andrews crew did not even leave a foot print!When the time comes to replace out other AC unit, without hesitation, I am calling A-Better-Deal.

If I could give 10 stars I would! I asked for quotes on a new HVAC system which he’ll give me but spent 3 hrs on my unit to see if I even needed a new unit. Now I may have a choice to go new or keep the present unit for 3 to 5 years! The best part he wouldn’t let me pay for the time doing the diagnostics. This means Berkey’s hasn’t really been taking care of a unit I purchased from them 10+ years ago and they supposedly service for 11 years. If in fact I need to replace A Better Deal has my business! If I get to keep awhile longer I will use their service department for the twice yearly check up.

Great service and helps community. I moved into a house and needed help igniting a 20 year old gas water heater. Andrew was very patient with me and worked with me until gas was lit. Excellent!! I called A Better Deal at 8pm and my unit is already repaired at 10pm! Tom immediately knew the problem. He said it was likely the blower wheel and the motor. When he got it taken out, he quickly determined that the blower wheel might be just fine--and it was (saved us $150!!)He easily could have unnecessarily charged us a higher price and wed have never known. But instead, he provided honesty and excellent skill. My home is cool and my mind is eased knowing that are still people of integrity in the world today. Thanks!

My water heater split and was leaking water. I called A Better Deal and asked for a quote on replacing it. A tech arrived a few hours later and took the information off of the side of my old unit and excused himself to his service van to write up the quote. He came back to the door and told me the price, which was a little high. I asked what brand of water heater he planned to install and it was a brand I know to be builder grade. I thanked the tech and explained that I would be getting a second opinion, to which he said I owed him $50.I thought he was joking! $50 to give me a quote? Apparently if you dont immediately purchase from this company they consider it a service call instead of a quote. I told the tech to scram and felt relieved I didnt choose this company to work on my home. My phone rings a few minutes later and its the woman at their office telling me the tech would be coming back to my home and WOULD be leaving with payment. I laughed and then hung up.These people give mechanical contractors a bad name. Pay attention to all the negative reviews about A Better Deal. Youve been warned.

Used them at the beginning of the summer because our unit wasn’t cooling our house. Andrew came out and diagnosed the issue within 15 minutes. Very thankful for such a timely response and a quick fix!

We have been using Andrew and his company for YEARS!! They are just incredible! You just wont find a more knowledgeable electrician and AC guy. Andrew kept our old AC running for years because it was a better deal. We saved so much it was easy to justify getting a great unit when our 30+ year old one finally zonked.

This company installed a unit new back in June that is still not working. Once installed, the drain did not work causing water to come out of the unit and damage an interior wall and projector screen, which was never repaired. That issue got resolved in a few weeks after the initial installation and the unit worked for a couple months.It has now not been working for another 5 weeks and I can not get them out to repair it. I have called daily for about 3 weeks trying to get any information on when it would be fixed. Finally the part came in this past Monday and we scheduled an appointment for first thing Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning came and went without any word from the company. Called twice without having any information provided and finally got feedback that they could come by the house after 7 PM. Missing appointments, trying to show up after hours, not returning calls happens CONSTANTLY with the company. I am about to take them to court to get my money back and find another company to fix what this one cant do.

We hired them to install a humidifier system and they repeatedly failed to show up on time. When they finally did, they started the job and couldn’t finish because someone was sick. I understand these things happen so we gave them another chance. They were suppose to show up from 3-5 pm and we chose this time because our little ones nap in the afternoon. They showed up at 1pm with no phone call letting us know they’d be early, and rang the doorbell even though we have a big sign that says not to. Both of the children woke up because of this and neither I or my husband was home at that time. My nanny had to deal with them and wasn’t expecting anyone to come. When we asked for a discount because of all these troubles, they refused. So they are removing the unit as we speak. Highly unprofessional and never shows up when they say to do the job!

Competive pricing and reliable service. Ive been using ABD for over 15 years. I was lured away by bigger companies with more trucks, but their prices are too high and theyre always trying to sell more equipment and service. Honesty is the Best Policy!As faithful customers for over 3 years, our A/C was low on refrigerant on this past Monday, 03/14/16 (the 1st heatwave of the year). To our surprise, Andrew was able to come out that same night as promised. Had an issue with a leaking PVC pipe that involved our AC units. Called their number at 3pm on a Saturday and was given a choice of time for a service call (24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year), whatever was convenient for us. Dusty showed at 9pm the same night and fixed the issue in 15 minutes. No up-selling, no “special parts”, nothing additional - he simply fixed the issue! I was charged the unbelievable $25.00 service call fee plus the cost of service...which was very, very affordable and much less than I had thought it would be.If ever I have an HVAC, appliance, electrical or plumbing issue in the future, my FIRST and ONLY call will be to A Better Deal, I’m a customer for LIFE!!!

Andrew came out at 9pm for the service call. We had been told by another company A#1 Air we needed a new evaporator coil. The second opinion Andrew gave was good news and he also fixed my evaporator coil box which the tech from A#1 Air damaged. I am thankful for the honest explanation of what actually needed to be done to fix my AC system and you have earned a new customer!Thank you !

AC went out today (Sunday). I called 5-6 others businesses from my Google search within my area hoping to get ahold of some one to do an emergency fix and ABD was the first to even pick up their line. Andrew was at my house within an hour. Opened up my AC unit outside and within a matter of seconds identified the problem. Capacitor went out. Andrew pulled the piece out, replaced it within a few minutes and powered it back on. Incredible! I was stressing out so much as I’ve got a pregnant wife and I’m trying to keep us comfortable as possible and Andrew saved the day. I would HIGHLY recommend A Better Deal Heating & Air. Andrew was amazing, talented, friendly and well priced. Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this means to us.

Summary: He bald-face lies to get business. He caused *extensive* damage and walked away. I could call CPS on his parenting. **** First, he lied to me about my warranty. He said I had to get service from him only - no others - twice a year to stay under the warranty. Another A/C company assured me that wasnt true; I purchased the warranty when I purchased the new system. He was lying through is teeth to get more business. **** Next, he damaged the humidifiers water line during a routine check. (Bad design; it was in the way). That winter when the heater came on, the waterline ruptured, causing extensive damage to ceiling, crown molding, and walls. When I first brought this to his attention, he was apologetic. Then he remembered he hadnt written an invoice for that work, and immediately for got it ever happened. Insurance wont pay when its clearly the fault of a tradesman, so I was out thousands of dollars. **** He let his pre-school child wander around my house - without my knowledge - without supervision. I was shocked to find a half-pint stranger going through my stuff. (My house is NOT childproof!) Is this professional? Is this a good parent? **** He may Talk that hes a Christian, but clearly he doesnt Walk in his business.

Our furnace stopped working on the coldest day of the year on a Sunday night at 8pm during a blizzard. Better Deal sent an agent out and in less than an hour we had heat. We have a two year old and we were just about to pack up and go to a hotel. Better Deal saved us. You MUST call them in an emergency.

Our heat pump went out and we called A Better Deal on the recommendation of a friend. After assessing the situation, we decided since we were on an old R22 system, we might as well bite the bullet and get a new system instead of pouring money into fixing an outdated system. Well, our new system won’t be installed until Dec 1st, but John called us up on Sat. November 28th and said “it looks like it’s going to get cold these next few days so let me come by and temporarily fix your system enough to where you will at least have heat until your new system gets installed”. So he showed up 30 minutes later and got it working temporarily!! We didn’t call and ask for this service (we were just gonna use a couple of space heaters for now), but John went out of his way on a Saturday to take care of us!! We don’t even have our new system in yet, but so far the customer service is above and beyond! Thanks John!!

I got the home warranty through this company thinking they would take better care of my home since they were local but every time I have a problem they have tried to find a way out of making the repairs and then charge me $75 to come out. For example the plumber they sent couldn’t find my clean out and said he couldn’t clear the pipe because of it and that since I didn’t have a clean out they wouldn’t come out for anymore plumbing issues. I called a local plumber and he found the clean out in less than 15 seconds. That’s the level of ineptitude at this company. The next time I had an issue and decided to give them another chance it was an AC issue. The guy that came out said they didn’t cover it because it was dust related and it would cost $900 to fix. Again called a local technician and they did the repair for half the quoted cost by this company. Avoid any dealings with this company.

Spoke to them 11 times. 4 times someone will call you and never did return my call. Twice said we will be out to fix your issue (according to other techs I had a fire hazard; they never showed up. They breached there contract twice since as they installed my AC unit several years ago and I have a lifetime limited warranyy. This is not A Better Deal, my recent experience has been any but a better deal, just a bunch of headaches and waiting....based on my experience, I would not use this company. If they ever return phone calls? I moved on to another company.

I cant recommend this company for their AC warranty services. Not once did they make it to a call on time, which is important because my compressor doesnt work and when they would show up hours late it would be working fine. Its been 3 weeks and my issue is not resolved. They claim because they cant catch it in the act there is nothing they can do so I should replace my whole system.

They are great! It’s so nice how they can come out same day or next usually, and Andrew is so helpful, very knowledgeable

Fast, friendly, honest. Andrew, the owner, stays personally involved and is a genius! I have many rental properties and use them routinely. He has saved me thousands by finding things that are broken before they actually die and wreck havoc. I cant begin to tell you how wonderful they are! If you have an emergency, they will work you in even if they have to work into the wee hours to do it. Andrew worked tirelessly for 2 hours to find a clog in my drain. The clog was about 60’ in and he was able to unclog it using his snake. A couple months ago he also helped us with our hot water heater. Well rounded and prepared for any job you may have. Thank you Andrew for your patience.

Called another company. They charged $150 just to show up. Then they wanted to charge me $951 on top of that to fix my AC. I called A Better Deal. They came out at 8pm that night, charged $25 for the house call, and repaired my AC for $245. AC is currently working great. Wish I had remembered the name sooner. I now have the business card taped to the AC.

If could give them a zero, I would. They treated me with the utmost disrespect. Kirsten BARELY returned my calls. My tub leaked for two weeks...I mean running like it was on. Sent some old grumpy man who Kirsten had to dismiss for the day due to his attitude. Finally, and weeks later Andrew came and installed something backwards. I had to ask if race had anything to do with my treatment because they blatantly showed me with any service that they die NOT want my business. Kirsten eventually fraudulently cancelled my service siting that I refused to pay the technician... a bald face lie. I asked him to call Kirsten to see if I could get a waiver on the SEVENTY FIVE DOLLAR FEE (yes... higher than many) due to the fact that a tech was sent on a know pre-existing and non-coverable issue. Ive had a lot of issues with my system that was replaced through them, so I will not provide a 5-star review, but this is an ethical company and they stand firmly behind their warranty so anytime Ive had issues they are quick to repair it free of charge, as long as I continue to do my twice-a-year maintenance. I would definitely recommend this company for heating or cooling repairs or replacement.

Brian came out to repair our heater and, of course, like any repair, it turned out to be more complicated than anticipated. He stayed until everything was working perfectly for no extra charge. A++! Highly recommend.

Not Reliable!! We were scheduled for them to come between 3-5pm. After no one showing up, we called the office at 6pm. We were told the service tech was finishing at another job and would be there within an hour. After two hours (8pm) we received a call saying they they were on their way and would arrive within 30 minutes. At 8:15pm, the tech texted to say he was still 20 mins out. He never did show, never called again. We never heard from anyone to cancel or apologize. Not acceptable. Why tell us you’re on the way, when you’re obviously not?! Our time is valuable. If they had called to reschedule, we would have understood...sometimes jobs run longer than expected. But we feel like the strung us along all evening.

I have used them 3 times over the past 3 years. Always responsive, professional, and quick service. They know what they are doing and are not trying to sell you something you dont need. Prices have always been great too.

Had to get a second opinion on AHS warranty repair. I must say I was highly impressed with the knowledge of the staff. I left with many options for getting my AC repaired. I can assure you I will use A Better Deal.

I needed a service call because I was concerned I was low on my refrigerant. There were no issues with the on-time arrival. The $25 charge to come out and perform basic troubleshooting was a very fair price. Where it went down hill is when the A/C guy informed me that it would cost $250 to add Freon....I looked at him and laughed. They dont even charge by the pound. You could call every other A/C repair company in the DFW area and they will all charge roughly between $50-$60 per pound. There is absolutely no reason to charge $250 for 1-2 pounds of Freon, except as a way of price gouging. If you suspect you are low on refrigerant and need a charge, dont even bother calling these guys.

My grandmother who is dying of cancer has used this company for years. She had A Better Deal Heating and Air come to her house to get an exterior drain pipe replaced, after it cracked from freezing over night. They quoted her $1500 for parts and labor. Another plumber gave me an estimate of $495. This company tried to take advantage of her. This upset me and my family greatly, they are not giving fair estimates. Always get a second quote!

This is one of the worst companies That I have ever had to deal with we had a brand new system put into a home we bought almost a year ago and the system has never worked right they have been numerous times and during the summer we still had to run three window units to cool my home now that it’s getting cold well we have no heat we also have a 6 week old baby and a 9 yr old in the home we went out and bought space heaters to get some heat he refuses to return any phone call or come fix the issues. On many occasions they were scheduled to come out and of course nobody showed I will continue to fight this issue and I will never recommend these people to anyone!!!!!!!

Weve used this company several times and have always had a great experience. They come quickly, only fix what is required and finally after a good 4-5 years, replaced a unit for us. We are very pleased and have always experienced good customer service.

They might be good at residential, but they did little to no work for our commercial business. We had another AC company come out 2 weeks after and the other company remarked that it looked like work had not been done on our space in years. Our AC now works fine.

Here is what I love about ABD. I have used them for several years. They have always worked with me to make sure I was taken care of in the short term as well as long term. They are friendly, caring, sympathetic and willing to work with me. Because of this I will always use them for my HVAC needs.

The technician was on time and professional but the company is opportunistic. My AC thermostats transformer went bad and I was charged $280 to change it. For reference , the transformer cost $30.

The tech got here when he said he would (quick) and had the problem analyzed in no time. It was late at night when he arrived and my system was froze up. He had to let it thaw so he returned early the next day when he said he would and had it fixed quick. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Our unit needed a new evaporator coil. Price I was given was to install a Lennox brand coil. The installers gave me the brochure for the coil they installed and it was made by Comfort Air. Questioned the owner about this and he swears he installed a Lennox coil though my papers show different. “Bait and switch” at its finest

Same day service - the technician came out and looked at my AC the day I called. The price they quoted me for fixing it was $250 lower than a quote from another company (OC Services) for the exact same fix. Very satisfied customer. A+

A/C stopped working late evening on hottest day of year (so far). Agreed to come out overnight, got here little before 4am. Fix turned out to be basically a system reset. Didnt even charge me for service call. Very friendly and great customer service. Will definitely use in future.

I would be very wary of any quote they give you. Make sure you get a second opinion before forking over any amount of cash. Their quote was double any others. Plus their tech was more interested in getting us go buy and entire new unit than he was actually fixing the issue.

I have no personal experience with this company for their services; however I can tell you that I have been trying to remedy a child support issue since September 2012 with no luck. In September 2012 A Better Deal Plumbing presented an Insufficient Funds Check to the Texas Attorney Generals office. They have since been told on multiple occasions by the OAG that they MUST remit payment via certified funds. Kenlyn, the office manager and owners wife, complied once, sending a lump sum payment for 8 of the weeks owed to the OAG on 11/30/2012. This was the last date that they could remit certified funds prior to the OAG taking further action. Since that point the funds continue to be sent in via check rather than certified funds as the OAG has instructed. Due to the NSF check presented in September all checks will continue to be returned to A Better Deal Plumbing. End result I am stuck between an OAG policy and an employer who complies only long enough to not be penalized further by the OAG. If their back office is anything like their service buyer beware!

This company was the first one so I called and 20 mins later a friendly, knowledgeable, sweet man shows up and diagnosed it before even looking at it and FIXED IT IMMEDIATELY! $565 later and within 30 mins we have air again. He was truthful (bc I googled the problem and confirmed everything he said) and the price was more than fair!

This is not a full service plumber. They will not undo stoppages that have to be done through the roof and they will not pay to have someone else do it with their warranty.
