Extremely disappointed in this location today. Doing maintenance, so they are in a lean-to crappy cramped shed. I usually go here for my credit unions shared-service. So because they are in this shed, they are refusing service for non-direct members? What kind customer service is that? Totally ruined my lunch hour, to drive all the way over here for nothing. More than nothing, with wasted gas. How do you just ignore your commitment to serve everyone, which includes shared members? Unacceptable.

I’m having to give 4 ⭐️’s due to how we have to make deposits now and the fact the ATM deposit feature is NEVER working. Moms with kids do not want to drag them all inside. Especially on a cold rainy day. Or if I’m having to make a deposit after y’all close well I haven’t been able to because the ATM feature is always unavailable.

This new concept is ridiculous! It looks more like an apple store than a financial institution. They have no offices and everything is out in the open. The person that takes cash has to go to a back machine. It was terrible. Whoever thought of this concept should not have his job. I know if I needed a loan or anything else this is the last place I would go to. I am in my 30s and I am all for digital banking but this is ridiculous.

I banked with them since i was 18, had my first new auto loan with them and paid it off in full in good standing as well as secured loan to help increase my credit score.After this, FSCU kept denying my new auto loan apps and overall were not helpful, so I discontinued my direct deposit with them. In result, they have quietly charged fees on my account until there was enough balance to send my account to collections. I only found this out through another credit union which prompted me to reach out to FSCU. Dishonest way to run a business IMO.

Hello,Excellent Customer service from a teller called NAELEA.She listened to me with lots of patience, and was very understanding.As soon as I entered the bank my phone died because I had spent all day at the Dr. office, but forgot to bring a charger with me. The distance from the Dr.’s office and the bank is short, and didn’t give me enough time to charge in the car.She let me borrow a charger to get my phone going so I could retrieve the information I needed to complete the transaction that took me to the bank.The bank closes at 5:00pm, but NAELEA stayed extra time so I could finish the business !I’m very appreciative of her care and patience!Thank you so much NAELEA.It meant a lot to me!Merry Christmas!🎁🎄

First Service Credit Union deserves a quarter star since they are one of the worst credit unions in Houston. Credit Unions always tout how they are for the people however their fees are no different than Chase, Wells Fargo, etc. This one in particular is locally based and although you can use your debit card when traveling you have to notify in advance. This particular location has the most incompetent junior bankers. Had to get a large check deposited and the teller laughed and said it would take over 15 business days to clear. I asked to speak to a manager and the teller indicated that there was as no manager available. This was during a time that there should have been a manager available. I have deposited large checks in the pay and at a minimum a portion of those monies were available. That is where the problem lies with credit unions in that they cannot handle these types of transactions. Went to Chase and opened an account with the check I had that was from JP Morgan Chase as the bank. I will be closing this account out soon. This was not the first of many stumbling and bumbling experiences I had with their junior bankers that can barely count cash correctly even when using the counter. Any transaction will be frustrating.

I want to express the experience. that I have been receiving from the bank tellers at First Service at the Katy location.The tellers are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I have to say that I have never banked anywhere where I felt like family. Wow! How refreshing. To receive this type of treatment is not so common these days.I want to highlight DeAnn and Michelle for their super nice personalities.Jesus, the branch manager, has to be a special kind of person to organize this level of professionalism.

We have banked at FSCU for a few years now. We love it! Recently we financed a new car with them. We spoke to Victor Hu, he was amazing! He was friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. He even stayed late for us so that we could have the car that night! Outstanding service! If you are not already a member... we 100% recommend! Ask to speak to Victor!

We had a car loan through this company. They auto-withdrew an extra payment from us after the vehicle was paid off. We didnt think much of it until we got a statement that they are now charging us a $5 statement fee. Then charged us another $5 to mail us our money back. So I paid you every month with interest on time for the life of my loan then you charge me more to get my money back. Pretty disappointed that this is how they wanted to do business with me.

I never used this bank. I always use their ATM tho. Always check your statements. This ATM CHARGE YOU A 3$ fee TWICE every time. I just checked and found that out. So if you don’t bank with them go to another ATM.

I am a newbie to Katy. After reading all of the reviews, I decided to take my chance and go with this credit union. I know everyone experience is different, but my experience was great. The Teller Ms. Rosa was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all of my questions and concerns. I opened a checking and savings account and I am looking forward to doing busy with this credit union. However, I did notice that this location is very busy. So I will doing the majority of my business online .

UPDATE:First Service = No Service. I just returned home from yet another trip to this location where the ATM is not accepting cash or check deposits. This happens more times than not. I emailed the main office weeks ago from the last time to inquire about where to go because the ATM at this location is constantly not working and the Park Ten location only dispenses cash. I never even received a response from them and will be closing this account first thing tomorrow.Modern bank with old fashioned service! Sonia was a delight to work with and the entire experience was seamless. My only regret was not popping in sooner to open my account. The big name banks cannot touch First Services product offering or service. Thanks!

Worse service. They have not given my insurance docs and now they want to charge me for the insurance. We had insurance on the car from the first day we bought the car and we got the loan. I have made several trips there. To show themMy insurance. My agent emailed it to them as well. So disappointed as how something so simple can waste so much of their customers time. I got a call today that I owe them for insurance!!!! So upsetting.

Today I visited this Credit Union that I’ve been going to since 2017 and has the kindest encounter with their new Branch Manager Jesus. Super friendly and quick service. I like being a member here for many reasons. They don’t charge fees, have great customer service and have always helped me when I’ve had any issues or concerns. I’d recommend going by to see how they can help you and your family.

Chun John Wang is amazing! Closing on a home and was urgent to get my auto refid as fast as possible. He was able to get me done in less then 2 hrs.. still waiting on another loan place to call me back. Really blown away by the service he gave me today. If any managers are reading this, Id recommend advancing him. Great people are difficult to find. Thanks again John!

Ive been a member for years.....but customer relations has went way down hill. Hardly any atms anywhere thats you dont get a fee for cant do mortgage, cant do business loans dont want to help you refinance anything......Im seriously considering getting a new bank!

My husband and I went in to inquire about re-financing our 2015 Nissan. The process went very smoothly and we were notified of approval the very next day. We went from a 8.5 percent APR to 3.6 percent so needless to say, we were extremely pleased with our visit! To add to this, we were also advised of their checking and savings account options that have no maintenance fees! We will be canceling our current checking account which charges $8.95 per month and switching over to First Service Credit Union for our checking and savings...Overall, our visit with this institution was very successful and they have exceeded our expectations with their service!

I went to the ATM to withdraw $200 but the ATM only gave me $120. It was around 8:00am so the branch was not open yet. So I called customer care to complain about the transaction. The lady on the phone was very helpful well as much as she could be with the situation. She told me she would email the branch manager to let her know what took place at the ATM that morning. I told her I would also drop back by the bank that morning. The representative on the phone did tell me most likely the best way to resolve the problem is dispute it through my bank. I had no problem with that. I know my bank has insurance on any transactions that transpired or have any problems. Keep in mind I’m the type of person that is pretty levelheaded and I understand there was no control over what the ATM did in error. So I went to work and decided to go back to the bank on my lunch break. I just wanted to make sure the manager was aware of what happened. I arrived at the bank and stood in line waiting for a teller to call me upfront so I can just let them know what happened that morning just in case the email wasn’t sent since I was just talking to someone over the phone when the error happened. There was two tellers standing up front and both were typing or putting in transactions I have no idea. The lady l stepped up to was typing never stop typing I pulled out my receipt and I started to tell her what happened at the ATM earlier that morning. I knew I didn’t have her full attention because she just kept typing and had such a stern look on her face. When I approached her I pulled out my receipt. I said good morning I believe I am suppose to talk to the branch manager. In the mist of telling her what transpired she somewhat cut me off. I was confused as to who she was because when I approached her she never introduced herself even after I introduced myself. She never gave a warm jester that would equal great customer service. I knew I didn’t have her full attention because she just kept typing with such a stern look on her face even when I approached her as if I was out of place or not recognized as a regular. She immediately said still typing well I checked everything and I come up with $200 so therefore you just need to dispute it with your bank. The way she delivered the message was as if she was expecting someone to come in with the hot head about the situation like she was already geared up and ready. The body language she gave me when she said you just need to dispute it with your bank it left me flabbergasted because she paused and flipped her wrist at me. I didn’t come in for that information nor was I asking her to do anything such as go in her drawer and give me money because I understand protocol. I’m still confused as to why she was so bitter from the start. I approached this lady as humble as I could be. The situation was no one fault. I was going to be informative to make sure they were aware the ATM had a glitch and to make sure they were notified. Even the way she handled me caught the attention of the teller next to her she looked over at her and gave her a look like what is going on. I know that the teller looked because she realize the attitude whoever this lady was gave me because the teller stared at her with this question look on her face. I kindly grab my receipt. I looked at her I told her said thank and you have a wonderful day then I walked out. Little does she know customer service is my profession at my job. I work for one of the largest employers in that area across the freeway from the branch in the human resources side of the company. I train thousands of employees on customer service and compliance on a weekly bases. I always use a video in my training Chic-Fila verses McDonald. Well First Service Credit Union you were McDonald that day. You need to take your employees to Boot Camp on the basics of customer care. I sent this review company wide to over 15,000 emails. This will remind my team that one bad apple a day can keep thousands of customers away.

Poor services for shared branch customers. Their $1000 withdrawal policy for shared branch customers was only recently enforced even though I’ve made multiple transactions over that limit in the past at this branch. When I brought that to their attention I was told “teller error”Won’t be coming back.

First Service has allowed me to be a victim of fraud twice in the last year, and it saddens me that the bank Ive trusted for 6+ years has been so rude and not accommodating to me as a victim of fraud. Ive been treated like the perpetrator instead. I visited my branch yesterday after discovering yesterday after discovering $827.00 had been drafted out of my account using a check and the tellers helped me as much as they could but explained their was an hour or longer wait to speak with the manager about the issue. I fully understood and agreed to receive a phonecall instead to discuss and rectify the transaction in question.No one called me back, and no one answers your calls when you call the branch directly, you are transferred to the call center. So at this point, its not worth me losing more money due to FSCU lack of care and security over their customers accounts. If I were you, Id stay far away from this financial institution. FSCU isnt even worthy of one star in my opinion.

Got auto loan here. Loan went smooth and great. 3 Star is because you cant make a deposit into the ATM and I cant pay my bills. Some of us workers only have limited time and cant go into the bank. I work 6/12s and only off Sunday and you guys are closed Sunday? Please upgrade your ATM so we can make deposit. This is 2019, every bank atm has it......

I am beyond pleased with the service we have received from Nolan and FSCU. I was with another credit union for several years with good payment history and all. When I tried to refinance my vehicles, they straight out said NOPE! So when searching for another credit union, I received a piece of mail regarding refinancing...so I gave it a shot. Nolan was able to help us out and refinance both of our vehicles. Soon after, we upgraded and the credit union was there every step of the way. Nolan made sure all the paperwork was done and completed. He always responds to all my emails when I have questions. He is the absolute greatest banker I have EVER encountered. His work ethic is exceptional. Im glad I took a chance with FSCU....BEST CREDIT UNION experience. Needless to say, I dont bank with anyone else.

The tellers are rude and need training. I was inside the bank waiting to speak with a personal banker. I overheard the tellers calling customers stupid etc... Really? These customers put their hard earned money in your bank & they are called stupid. Very unprofessional. Next I came through the drive thru to deposit cash, put the cash in along with my bank card. Mind you Ive been banking here for 2years now. The tellers informs me that she needs my ID for cash deposit??!!! Seriously? In the 15 years of depositing money in several banks Ive never been asked for an ID when making a cash deposit. Im in a hurry and of course they take forever to process eveerything.... no sense of urgency what so ever.

It makes it so much easier having that person that knows you. Weve done several loans and such through Nolan. Hes very customer service oriented and these days that gets harder to find. EDIT: Received call from Daniel in marketing who read my review. Patiently explained the process. He told me he will make sure my issue is resolved today. He stated that FSCU is working on getting a more updated process in place. He would make sure the leads of the loan department and call center were informed about my dissatisfaction with the way my calls were handled (or not returned). I appreciated his phone call. We shall see if everything he says comes to fruition. I will amend my rating to 3 stars at this time BECAUSE of DANIEL. (Way to save a customer! :)UNACCEPTABLE business practices. I have NEVER in my life had a company refuse to give me a provisional credit when my card information has somehow been fraudulently stolen. I still have possession of my card. I have no idea how someone used my card information for a SWIPED transaction in CALIFORNIA when I live in TEXAS. More importantly, HOW was a fake card even authorized withOUT a chip? How could that have even gone through in the first place. Also, when fraud prevention called me, she was so rude. Demanding to know if I had my card, then told me I had to call the office, then HUNG UP on my before I could ask all my questions about what happened. Of course it caused an overdraft fee and after having to fill out a PEN & PAPER dispute form (Is this 1990??) was told they MIGHT issue me a provisional credit in 10 business days.. and then the again RUDE customer representative actually told me that they cant just go around giving everyone their money back in case people are lying. Not that I am saying you are lying.. She ACTUALLY SAID THAT. I said in THIS case we are talking about a TOTAL of $17. (Im not that broke, ha. I just put ALL my money in savings so I do not spend it). I said in my case, I should be offered an IMMEDIATE provisional credit bc that is the DEFINITION OF PROVISIONAL CREDIT. Then AFTER their investigation, the provisional credit can be made permanent of removed. Giving me my money back in 10 days after their investigation is just giving me back my money. And we are talking about $17. Not hundreds or thousands of dollars. $17. This is a matter of principle, and with all the business I have done with this company with multiple car loans, bringing family on board, personal loans, you would think they would just give me back my $17 while they perform their investigation.This may seem like a small issue, but it comes after a completely BOTCHED consolidated loan process where loan processor ALEM SILESHI refused to take my calls or respond to my emails bc she messed up our account numbers and my payements were delayed. She refused to communicate and tell me she screwed up. It took WEEKS to finally demand to speak with managers and be on hold forever while the phone reps initially try to say no one is available and i continue to say i will HOLD until someone SPEAKS with me. Then the manager FINALLY gets on the phone and tells me Ms. Alem Sileshi put in our account NUMBER WRONG.I will be taking my business elsewhere. I was going to consider getting a home loan through FSCU but not after this. This is ridiculous.They also need to update their ATMs. I cannot believe they still have ancient ones that do not accept deposits.

Went to open a business account but total incompetence. after going back again talked to rep. and she did not have the paperwork. there is no service, you walk in to one teller and a sheriff sitting beside each other, you sign your name and wait. when they feel like coming out you get to business. I was so upset with their lack of service I told her to close the account. beware,, to cash your cd I had it cost me $215 and $15 just to close the account. when I first opened the account I was told if the cd was cashed I would just loose the interest. I would go by this credit union quickly and bank elsewhere.

Ive been with them for years and Im really happy with FSCU and all of the employees.Last month I got an auto loan with them to buy a new truck and a good lady named Jesica (from 23665 Katy Freeway location) helped me with all of the process to get the loan quik and easy. She was very patient and helpful even at the moment that I was at the truck dealer signing all of the papers.We need an FSCU branch in the East side of Houston ASAP!

While my experience the past 12 months have not been positive but someone actually listened to my issues and assisted me. The financial institution is growing and making a lot of updates and hopefully they will continue to hire more individuals like Daniel to be a leader.

They discriminate against Hispanics and black people. I went there to open a business account. I waited for 1 hour and finally came my turn. This associate (lady) skip my name to take care if a white man. I asked her and she completely ignored me. After she finished with the man, she kept herself “busy” on the phone. She needs to be fired and banks needs to really deep into who they are hiring. Don’t discriminate people.

If I could give ZERO stars I would!!! This is the worst creit union i have ever been with. They charge unesssecary and not to mention hidden fees. They over drafted my account by $500 because they claimed I did not opt out of the overdraft protection which I did opt out of it on my app. It WASNT TURNED ON BUT THEY SAID IT SOMEHOW WAS SET TO ON IN THEIR SYSTEM I CALL LIES AND DECEIIT!! Then I recently have been going through a financial hardship which I stayed in contact with them about because my $300 loan was past due. I made payments when I could which I was told was fine. Now I wake up to go get get gas and my card it declined!!! GUESS WHAT FSCU DISABLED MY DEBIT CARD DUE TO A PAST DUE BALANCE WHICH IVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THEM ABOUT SINCE DAY 1!! I HAVE A 4 MONTH OLD CHILD, WHAT IF THERE WAS AN EMERGENCY?!?! I WILL NOW BE PAYING THIS LOAN OFF THANKFULLY AND TAKING ALL OF MY FUNDS ELSEWHERE THIS IS A POOR EXCUSE FOR A BANK AND THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN. Twice now I go to make a deposit about 9:15am and they are closed on a Thursday. I have worked for banks and Credit Unions and NEVER have they closed during normal banking hours. A teller told me they have staff meetings. What kind of business closes for this reason? Why dont they have meetings before the opening time like normal businesses?!Ridiculous and because I couldnt deposit, now I have an NSF. Im not happy!

Their drive thru deposit is bad... slow and they take their sweet time on everything. Like I know for a fact they are not busy on the lobby since they have it close due to covid 19 and all... but really yall have a good amount of staff to take care of the drive too with ease... why does it take forever to process the money? Also before the covid 19 when I go to the lobby, the bank tellers always having a good chat with their coworkers like as if their is no rush... i really hope all those negative habits wears off after the covid 19 goes away... they need to get on their A-game.

Terrible service. I applied for an auto loan with Radhika. Everything was approved, but when I found the car to buy, I called her and left a message hoping for her to process it. Radhika never called me back. Left an email, but she never replied. I also called her 2x prior to this and she never responded back. What a joke. 4x and never replied. I got fed up, and just bought the damn car in cash. Now I have a red mark on my credit score for the hard pull.

After it almost looked like I couldnt get my car, he helped me and got me the perfect rate. Answered all my questions, worked hard to get what I needed, incredible job. When I lived off Mason Rd. I used to come here for shared banking. This is not my regular branch, but I was able to do the transactions I needed. My branch is waaaay in Pearland, so First Service made life convenient for me. Plus, theyre personable and helpful too.

I got a new card and my pin needed to be reseted. I spend over 45 mins on the phone with different people and most of the time they were transferring my call to automatic phone calls. Sooo frustrating. At the end they couldn’t get it done and I am not able to use my card. All this happened while I was waiting to pay at kroger, grocery shopping, while my newborn baby was crying at home waiting for me. It’s very disappointing.

Have to admit, gave second chance , there are some helpful nice people , there are some rude ones . I love customer service that has a sense of humor, loves to go distance to help people , etc.there are some people with that and I’m thankful and grateful they are there . They are very rude when trying to dispute items and will deny you when you have evidence. A company stole money out my account. I explained I payed off the loan and the company were scammers. Ive been banking with this bank since they were onsite at KBR on clinton drive. Theyve really grown over the years. The new Katy location is awesome, theyre always nice and never extended waiting. The branch manager Sonia Renteria is really down to earth and helpful. I didnt even know what her title was until months later.

Went in for advice on refinancing a car loan, they told me it was alright with 6 months payments to request a it.The loan was not approved and my credit score lowered because of this. They misled me and gave me the wrong advice just so they could run my credit and try to sell me a worse loan than the one I already had.

My husband and I open an account at first service after we got married. We have a branch in our town, but we prefer to go to katy and deal with Nolan. Anytime that we have needed anything or had questions Nolan dosnt hesitate to help us. Nolan goes above and beyond we appreciate it!

This location has always been great. The phone number however is to a call center, which has to connect you to the branch if available. The representative at the call center should be fired, as she was extremely rude and condescending while i inquired on opening another account. Makes me think twice about banking here if the corporate office is so rude .

This credit union is horrible, don’t get loans with them, they charge you for everything including phone calls, there are so many other places to apply for loans, so please don’t make the same mistake I did. I will never used them again and I don’t recommend this institution to anyone. Also they don’t disclose this whenever you are applying for the loan.....

Don’t even think about this credit union they are the worst i have ever seen customer service on the phone for loan extremely rude and they are charging for everything.For my auto loan they told me that I have to open a checking account and after couple weeks i saw they opened another savings account without my knowledge.USELESS!

This bank is a real piece of crap, they dont solve or help with anything, plus Nolan Waltman, who is the manager, treats you in a horrible way, he discriminates against you no matter who you are, I had to see while I was waiting for my turn, how he verbally attacked 2 people without He didnt care if they were women, he treated me in a terrible way, offending me and discriminating against me.
