I used the richard smith team a few years ago on my first home purchase. They were nice and courteous but I will never do business with them again nor would I recommend them to a first time buyer. The partner that was working with me turned out to be incompetent and unorganized or simply took advantage of me. I agreed to a .25% rate increase in return for an amount that would go towards my closing costs or down payment. They applied the increase in interest but the money was never reflected in closing. The entire process was also delayed several weeks due to them waiting for me to collect funds/paperwork needed for a tax help program that I wasnt even allowed to apply for. This delay ended up causing my interest rate lock to expire and it raised my rate. Even my real estate agent said it was ridiculous and that she wouldnt be using them again. I did not realize their team had google reviews until I got an email from them asking me to post a review and it brought up bad memories.

Being a first time home-buyer was scary and confusing but what the Great help and knowledge from this company relieved me of alot of stress and comfort. I thank them for being upfront on alot of behind the scene actions and leading me all the way to the front door of my very first home....Thank You so much Richard and Blanca Smith.

This company completely sucks - they dont answer your calls, they dont return your calls from voicemail, theyre slow, they dont request clear requirements, after submitting a document to them...they sit on it for days and respond to yiu telling you that your loan is being delayed because they requested the wrong thing, theyre unaccountable, theyre unprofessional, they have no respect for clients, youll need to manage them to get anything done, they have incompetent staff. The list goes on and on. I will not recommend this company to my enemy. They are completely worthless. Id drop names off the specific employees but Ill refrain from now. All you need to know is that theyre unaccountable and unprofessional from the leadership down to the incompetent people that answer the phone. It was like pulling teeth trying to close on my house with these people. Even on the last day, they had my closing costs wrong. Smh. Im not doubting any of the other reviews - but Im inclined to believe that those other 5 star reviews are completely bogus.I dont usually give reviews - like they say, no feedback is good feedback. Therefore, Id be doing potential lenders harm by not telling the truth.Advise to anyone thinking about using these people - dont use them, youll regret it.Advise to Success Mortgage - address everything I mentioned earlier.
