Mr. good guy was sent out by my home warranty company after the first servicer told me a date that was four days away. The very next day Mr. good guy well his name is Albert but Mr. good Guy met me at my house within 20 minutes which was perfect. I was getting my daughter’s ice cream.ON A FRIDAY!!! He fix the issue very fast and efficiently then he told me I had an issue with an air duct. we He fix the issue the home warranty covered it. It was beautiful thank you. He is very knowledgeable respectful and I feel comfortable with him in my house, especially as a single. Mom with three young girls. Excellent service on replacing the old ducts upstairs. Their price was very fair-about half what I was quoted by another company. The job manager even came by the next day to look over the work the crew did (on a holiday weekend) and made sure the install was done correctly.I highly recommend this company!David

I first got connected to Mr Goodguy through my home warranty company for seasonal tune ups of my AC and heating. I have pretty old systems which other companies have tried to get me to replace and drop $$$$. But not Mr Good Guy! They are very practical, straight forward, mindful of customers budgets, and take the time to service my systems and educate me on some things I can do as a homeowner. They also recently installed a smart thermostat and took the time to show me all the features and were patient when I ran into some glitches with the app. They’ve never tried to sell me services or equipment I don’t need. They are patient and take time to answer my questions. I really appreciate them and continue to specifically request them thru my home warranty when I need service. The only thing is that they are a small business and there’s obviously a lot of demand for good hvac service in Houston so sometimes scheduling and getting a hold of someone is a challenge but they will respond and do their best to accommodate. I value their honest work and customer service. 5 stars!!

Our ac went out in the middle of triple digit heat. Our appointment through our home warranty company wasnt for 4 days. I called Mr. Goodguy and Alberto fit us in that day! He found the problem and had us up andrunning in under an hr. Very pleased and thankful for Albertos work and would recommend!

Albert came out and did a great job finding the problem. A leak in the evap coil. That was covered by warranty. He then gave us a fair deal to go ahead and replace our condensor unit which was from 2008. Run time for our ac was cut rom 20 hours a day to 10-12 hours per day in these over 100 degree days. Would recommend them and plan to continue to use them for my AC service and repairs.

Albert went above and beyond for us! Our home warranty company initially chose a different service contractor and they were going to charge us for things we did not need during a condenser replacement and they had horrible customer service as they didnt once return my calls. I called MrGoodguy because they had been to our house before and Albert was super helpful and continually responded and communicated with us during the process to switch service contractors. Once everything was approved, Albert quickly and efficiently took care of everything. Ill stick with them only from now on!

Albert came out and cleared out our external drain pipe. He also looked and corrected the capacitor.They were assigned to us from our home warranty company. Albert was very professional and took the time to explain the work and answer any questions.Mr. Goodguy may seem to be a catchy name, but it goes beyond that! Albert is a great Technician and fits the name; Albert is a Goodguy and so is this A/C company!!!

They did not register my AC unit with Goodman within 60 days, now the warranty not valid for standard 5 years.We dont register equipment purchased by a third party. Even though they could spend a few minutes since they have all the information.

Alberto IS a good guy like the company name, he is honest and professional and accurate/fast troubleshooter. He fixed our AC within 30 min and it’s up and running, thank you so much!!!!

After being scheduled through my home warranty company, I was given a 4 hour window. After 3 hours, the tech called to let me know that he would be arriving with 15 minutes left in this window. I spent my entire morning waiting for this company to arrive. Furthermore, when I tried to call the main office to check on the appointment, there was no answer on any of the lines. When my warranty expires, I will definitely be going with a more responsive company.

This has been the best AC service I’ve ever had. Ismael was prompt and friendly. He listened to what we said and figured out the problem with our AC very quickly. He didn’t try to add on a bunch of expensive cleanings and other things. I felt that he was very professional and trustworthy. We will use Mr. Goodguy from now on for AC repairs.

Our home warranty sent out Mr.Goodguy to service our heater. They not only serviced my heater but cleaned and put back my reusable filters. They were extremely friendly and told me information about my systems age I didnt know. They said everything is working fine despite its age. They didnt try to sell me anything.

Technician was called Albert. He was great. Knowledgeable, efficient, honest. Definitely use them again as the previous two companies were none of the above and did not solve the issue.

Called them out as I was referred to them by a work colleague came out to my house within an hour and didn’t sit there and try to overcharge me like the other companies did. Simple repair took care of my issue and had me up and running within minutes. I would highly recommend them and would definitely call Mr.Goodguy for any future repairs.

Alberto came out and fixed our upstairs blower unit in 24 hours after another big company said they couldnt get parts for it. He found the impossible part and installed it NEXT DAY. He was honest and professional and we will be using this company from now on!

It took three work days to schedule our service due to the extreme heat in our area resulting in heavy work loads for all A/C repair companies. Arrival was to be between 8:00 a.m. and noon. Albert and Chris arrived at 10:00, diagnosed the problems with the two units reported, and were done in one hour. I would definitely recommend using this company.

We were suggested this company from our home warranty when our AC went out. They came out to see us the same day we called them (a Thursday), which was much appreciated. Unfortunately, that is about where the good guy part stops. They did not do much of an inspection of the unit during that first visit, and only refilled our refrigerant, claiming that would be all it would need. Within two days, all that refrigerant had leaked out again, and we had to put in another call. As it was the weekend, however, no one would come out to see us. When the finally got back to us, it was late Monday. They did come back on Tuesday to figure out what the problem was (a leak!), but told us they could not fix the problem that day, because of the warranty. And although it was just midday, they did not submit the paperwork until Wednesday (why they were so extremely slow in submitting this, we have no idea and are not happy about at all). Our home warranty was very fast in approving the work once they finally got the request. But then no one at Mr. Goodguy would respond to phone calls, texts, or emails from us or our home warranty about getting back with us to set up an appointment. They should have set up an appointment with us before they left the follow-up appointment. The fact that they didnt, and then waited to submit paperwork, and then didnt respond to phone calls at all for an entire two days, was completely unacceptable. We have been without a working AC unit (in Houstons warm October) for a full six days. They did finally call us back and are scheduled to come out tomorrow (day 7). I hope they actually fix the problem this time. Were in a mid-October heat wave, so we arent much cooler than summer. Our advice - use someone else!

My home warranty company scheduled the appointment. Never called and never showed up. I called them and the tech said they called but I missed my appointment. I told him they didn’t call me and the tech hung up on me. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

Our ac broke yesterday so I called our home owners warranty and they connected us with mr. Good guy. Today, a technician came out first thing in the morning, swapped out the capacitor and done! Quick fix and our ac is back in business! Great service and great experience!

The home warranty company sent this company out to fix one of the 3 AC units. They have come out 2 times and still not fixed the problem. The first time they said it was a Freon but that did not work. Now it is a coil we are waiting on.The technician made the error of turning off one of the working AC units in the attic for the master bedroom. When this mistake was noticed the at 2:20pm was to wait until the next day because he was already in Sugar Land and we live near Willowbrook.We called the company and spoke to a man who said he was the owner. I asked he send someone else to fix his techs mistake. He said they soonest was tomorrow. I asked if he planned on paying for a hotel room for the night and he said no.Leaving for the hotel now. It is about 82 in the bedroom now. It is 94 outside so it will only get worse.I would not recommend this vendor.

These guys were very responsive and did a great job. They dont normally come out to our area but made an exception which was very much appreciated. Our AC went out during the recent heat wave and we were in rough shape. Within a day they were at our house and quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue.

Ismael showed up and not only did he look upset at being there from the start but went ahead and started working on a project a did not approve and when I asked him what he was doing he said I told him to go ahead and I did NOT. He then threatened me and told me its too late and if I dont pay they will cancel my warranty. This is the worst experience and just because Im not a man doesnt mean its ok to speak to me like that.

I just got taken to the cleaners. I used this company because my home warranty sent them to me. The part needed to fix my A/C unit was not covered and that’s understandable. The tech told me the part cost $845 installed. I have kids and was desperately in need of my A/C to work, so I stupidly agreed. When the tech came back with the part, I looked online and it went for about $150–$190. The installation took less than 30 mins. I paid this guy about $600 for 30-40 mins of labor.

Technician was friendly, knowledgeable and fast. Fixed the problem and made a recommendation that I put an overflow switch on that he did super fast. Very happy.

Great service, so happy with our result. Were referred to them by OneGuard home warranty when our a/c went out in June. They came out the next day, figured out the problem and then went out of their way to fix our condenser the next day. We opted for a new one b/c the one to be fixed was 15 years old, so paid upfront and they filed the paperwork on the backside with OneGuard for reimbursement. Took about a month to get the check from OneGuard, but we wanted it fixed asap and Mr. Goodguy went above and beyond to get it done and then made sure the home warranty company reimbursed us. Great employees, first time in 15 years a home warranty claim has worked out so perfectly!

If I could I would give NEGATIVE starts!We were given this company from Onegaurd home warranty when our AC went out. They came out to see us on a Monday, when we called the Thursday before. They did not do much of an inspection of the unit during that first visit, and only refilled our refrigerant, claiming that would be all it would need. Within five days, all that refrigerant had leaked out again, and we had to put in another call. As it was the weekend, however, no one would come out to see us. Mr. Goodguy or the technicians never responded to our calls or voicemails. Monday morning we called again and they gave us another a time frame of 10am to 2 pm, however they didn’t show up till almost 5:30 PM! They did come back on Tuesday to figure out what the problem was a leak that they never fixed the first time they were there. They used something similar to a fix a flat and it didn’t work!!! Mr. Goodguy would not respond to phone calls, texts, or emails from us. They should diagnose problems than just getting a service fee and running off! We have been without a working AC unit (in Houstons warm JULY) Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

My home warrant assigned the AC work to Mr. goodguy. and they are not really good. They are not professional and obviously dont know what they are doing. the house was worm and the AC is not cooling and they insist it is working and there is no they can do beside adding in some refrigerant.

Terrible a/c company. The tech whos name is Brian was late and very rude when talking to myself and my wife. Initially he couldnt fix the problem and when he came back out(4dayslater) he left all his trash by the outside unit and only fixed half the issue . Ultimately I had to get another company to fix the issues. And get this, after I realized the problem was still occurring , I called Mr good guy and informed them I was still having issues , their reply was sorry sir, but we cant get back to you until another 3-5 days. If you live in Houston , youre well aware of the brutal summer time weather. This company is the reason I enrolled into HVAC/R school. I dont recommended this company yo anyone !
