I am closing on the model home with Highland Homes and this has been the absolutely worse experience I have had with purchasing a home from the sales representative to the lender. They are very disorganized and unprofessional. The sales representative Andrew appears just to be there for a pay check and commission. Very poor customer service. I haven’t heard anything from him since I signed the sales contract and visited the home. My closing was delayed and I had to contact them to even find this information out. I wasn’t expecting anything that is typical protocol like communicating if there will be any delays and things like that. They picked the date of December 15th, but due to poor planning they didn’t even have the permit to convert the office to the garage because I am purchasing the model home. I didn’t find out until about a week before I was supposed to close that closing was delayed which I had to call to find out. Their excuse was the agent is out of town on vacation. Im guessing this is at least billion dollar company so business doesn’t stop because one person isn’t there. They are the builder, sales representative and the lender. The lending process for any home can be arduous, but the lender was very non communicative as well. I had to reach out to them to see were my loan was besides the generic alerts of where I was in the loan process. I am very prompt with getting all my required documents in so there was no excuse for them just taking their time to get things done. The garage doors where just installed on 12/18/23, so left very little tine to get an inspection and now it feels like everything is being rushed because of their poor planning. Until garage was complete, appraisal coukdn’t be done or inspection to even check for sny deficiencies. So, now they will have to cone back after I close to correct deficiencies. I will be glad to be done dealing with this company. I don’t care how beautiful the home may be, I will think long and hard before I ever purchase another home with Highland Homes. Lastly, I purchased all of the furniture in the home and during the demo of the office where the garage would be, one of the photos was damaged. Management told me they are not responsible for that, well who is if I don’t have pocession of the home and its your contractors who caused the damage. It has been poor customer service from bottom to top. If you are thinking about purchasing a home with Highland homes, expect poor service and stressful move.

Highland Homes is the epitome of excellence! Danny Day and the rest of Highland Homes went above and beyond to ensure my 100% satisfaction.They communicated with me very well, kept me informed the entire process. The owner, Jean Ann Brock has built a top notch company from the foundation up!

Highland Homes is definitely one of my favorite builders. I came to Elysian to show my out of town clients the community before they left town and Highland was one of the few builders that actually had a person and the door open at the model homes.

Better than others. No problem with sales person. But its a pain dealing with warranties issues. Make sure you have a good inspector and your stuff are done the way you like before closing.
