Carsport came highly recommended by a neighbor, I had to try Carsport Automotive. I was frustrated with the last shop I patroned.Manolis and his team are first class. They were expert at diagnosing my car issues and completing the repair for a reasonable cost in a reasonable amount of time. The staff is friendly and the shop is clean and well organized. I will not hesitate to return again. They have gained my trust, keep up the great work and I’ll be a loyal customer.

Always crowded because they are good at what they do. Fair, honest, competent. Don’t fix what doesn’t need fixing - they don’t have time or the inclination to play greedy games. They call you with an estimate for approval before proceeding with a repair. Quick. They have a lot of repeat customers.

Finding an honest mechanic is always such a challenge. However this place is amazing! They are honest and trustworthy and do great work. I bring all my cars here. Given the chance to upsell me on services that I didnt need they told me that I didnt need them and not to waste my money. Such a rare trait in this industry, highly recommend.

This is a trustworthy, reliable family owned shop. I have dropped off and picked up a former boss many times there. He has all his work done there. I have sent my elderly grandmother there with her vehicle, knowing they would not take advantage of her. I know more than one person who has a story of them fixing something minor in a in a moment and not charging for it. You must have far worked on by somebody else, do so here.

Ive been a customer at CarSport for many years. I have taken my cars to them for everything from oil changes to transmission work. I appreciate their honesty, and I know theyll do a great job. I highly recommend them!

Yesterday was my first visit to Carsport. Jim inspected my car and explained the problems of my alternator. I dropped off the Accord 1:00 pm and took it back 3:30, Kathy charged me less than the ranges suggested by Google. I met a former mechanic working there now and we chatted for a while. He told me this is a good shop with 40 years reputations. I will continuously come here for services from now on.

Took my Chevy Silverado in for (possible) front end isues. Was told by another shop (Brake Check on Westhiemer) that I needed cv joints right after they themselves did an alignment. Emanual told me I simply needed some nuts and bolts tightened. Thats why I keep coming back. He and Jimmy are pure honest!!!

My daughters car had ac issues. The ac wasnt working. I had a different shop look at it first and they couldnt find anything wrong. They added freon, and it only worked 2 weeks. Called carports and got an appointment. Brought the car in for them to check it out. They found the leak in a very short time. Called me back and told me what it was and how much it would cost. They had given me a time on when it would be fixed and they finished early. They did a great job at a good price. Ill let them fix my car from now on.

First time customer here. Had a few stuck lug nuts on a Subaru that needed to be replaced. Other shops wanted to remove and replace the whole hub (more expensive). Carsport was able to replace just the parts that were broken for a reasonable price. Kathy at the front was really friendly too.

CarSport is very customer service oriented. Even when I need to get my car fixed they accommodated me with making payments to them on a bi-weekly schedule.

I take all of my cars to Carsport. They are quick to diagnose issues and very fair with their prices. They have worked on my BMW, Ford F150 and Ford Focus. They have actually advised me not to do certain things (even though it would mean they make more money) due to other issues that could arise. Very honest and reliable company, and every repair has been done perfectly. I feel fortunate to have found a repair shop with quality mechanics that have integrity. You cant go wrong with Carsport.

Highly recommend!!!! Weve been many times. Always a great experience!!! Very honest and great prices, fixing things at much lower cost than competitors. We recently purchased an older vehicle and had car sport check it out prior to buying. They thoroughly inspected and charged us nothing to do so. Theyve actually checked issues on our cars, fixed something minor, and didnt charge us a thing. Also, other shops have quoted us over a thousand for something discovered while changing the oil, brought the car to Car Sport for a recheck, and they found nothing wrong and again charged nothing. Now they are helping us sell our car and doing a thorough inspection. Once more, very honest, resulting in no cost because they found only the tires need to be replaced, which well have to buy elsewhere. Theyve made long time happy customers out of us!

Im writing this review as someone who is VERY skeptical about mechanics and auto shops. Carsport is my favorite auto shop! Kathy and team do a great job. Most mechanics nickel and dime you with unnecessary fixes that arent even close to urgent or immediate and I love that Carsport shoots straight with you and doesnt do all the upselling that others do. Its hard to find a good quality mechanic, but when you do, you refer them to everyone. My friends car needed repair and she was recommended Carsport Automotive by a family member. I handled the interactions for her because she had to work. The shop was clean, professional and most of all the work was completed before they said it would be. Emmanual was very courteous and accommodating to work with. Would highly recommend this shop.

I would never recommend this place to anyone!! Took car here because it was not driving straight and they said I needed a lower control arm and an alignment. They replaced the lower control arm and claimed to have done an alignment. When I picked up my car it was still not driving straight so I took it back and they said it was good and they had completed all needed work. But it did not drive straight and the steering wheel was tilted. So took the car to another place that showed me additional parts that needed to be replaced in order to even align the car properly and the alignment readings that proved the car had not been properly aligned. Carsport completely failed to diagnose the necessary parts or perform the alignment and job correctly!!

I moved to Texas in 2010. I was referred to Carsport, and have been taking my car(s) there ever since. The staff is Professional, friendly, and Courteous. It is nice to have a place to take your car and know that you are going to get honest and truthful outcomes. I never feel like they are trying to charge me for extra things, or over charge. Such a relief.

The best in Katy! I went to see Emanuel because another mechanic told me that I need to change my engine. Instead of trying to make money, Emanuel was completely honest and told me what the issue was. I did not need a new Engine, just need to use a different oil. I highly recommend this shop.

This is a wonderful, family-owned business. They are so honest that they will not do anything to your car that is not needed, and when they do, their prices are very reasonable.Some examples:I thought something was wrong with my A/C, so I took it in. When I came back to get the car, Jimmy slid my keys across the counter to me and said, Bring it back when its broke! There was nothing wrong... just the humidity. No charge.They fixed my 1991 Miata for $0.37 -- the cost of the fuse that was burned out.The place where I get my oil changed told me my brake pads needed to be replaced. I took it in to Carsport. The response, Nope, not yet! and then they told me what to listen for so Id know when to take it in. No charge. It was time for another oil change (5,000 miles) before I needed to replace the brake pads. And, of course, I took it to Carsport!I just love this place, and I wont take my car anywhere else!

I have been going here for over 5 years. I have never had a problem with quality of service, customer service or price.I just had some repairs done. They estimated $1450. They were going to come in under and we found another problem that would certainly put me over but they did the extra work and still came in under the 1450.I had 4 brakes with pads and new rotars, alignment, new tires, all belts, battery and safety mount. Plus, when my wife took me to the shop, they plugged her tire and did not even add it to my bill of which I told them to do.Most people review this place as I do. Excellent. Because they are. I do not understand any of these not so good ones ( of which there are not many )I only trust these folks, as well as my wife, 2 daughters and father in law.THIS IS THE HEST PLACE TO GET YOUR CAR FIXED PERIOD!!!!!!Thanks Car Sport.

They are awesome and honest people not just trying to make money Off you. Saying your cars need things they dont. Thats why they been there so long and are always busy. Pricing is very cheap compared to other shops. They were gonna order all parts plus labor plus warranty for $323.00. That was for calibers and brackets and bleeding the system. Next door to them wanted $300 just to put calibers that i had to buy without brackets ,no warranty and said Didint know if that was definitely the problem.

Took my truck in for a noise when braking and they fixed it. They are trustworthy, good people who know what they are doing. Highly recommend them

Had my oil changed. They were fairly priced and straightforward on what I did and didn’t need. I went in asking for oil, fuel, and air filter change. They informed me based on the miles all I needed was an oil change. They easily could have made more money off me but they were honest about what the vehicle needed.

Needed to have a valve job after timing belt failed. Fixed it and were able to save me money on replacing a power steering pump that was failing at the same time. This is our 5th vehicle we have brought for service or repair and always taken care of. I always feel great leaving knowing my car problems are fixed.

I have many family and friends that have used CarSports for over 10yrs. in Katy and have recommended them to me. It can be hard to find car repair shops that dont try to squeeze every penny out of you. They are the most trustworthy Ive come across. Not knowing much about cars, I worry Ill be taken advantage of when it comes to car work but they have very fair prices and were honset with me. They only recommended the necessary work that needed to be done and let me know anything that could wait. Give them a try and hopefully youll be as happy as I was with their service.

The work that was done on my vehicle was just fine. Seemed like a fair price and the problem was fixed. The problem is when I picked the vehicle up from the shop I found that the right rear bumper had be hit and damaged. The vehicle was parked next door at a church parking lot apparently overnight on a Friday. I pointed out the damage before leaving and was told that they would look over the video and see if they could see what happened. The vehicle was also taken from their shop to an exhaust shop for the actual work and I was told those guys would also review their video to see what they could see. I waited for two or three weeks and kept getting put off, they couldnt find the password for the video system and had to contact the owner and blah, blah, blah. After waiting for a reasonable amount of time, I had the vehicle repaired and today February 25, 2014 I asked those guys to split the cost of the repairs with me (Total was $ 480) as I thought that was reasonable. They did not think it was. In fact now I was accused of knowing the vehicle was damaged prior to bringing it to them. I will obviously not be doing business with these guys again and please do a walk around of your vehicle prior to leaving it with this repair shop.

They are always friendly customer service is superb stellar can’t say enough, quality of work above and beyond with attention to detail and pride, I bring all my trucks here, I trust them and if you are looking for a honest skilled mechanic shop this one is it.

These are the most honest and fair people i have ever had the pleasure of dealing with in any situation with our families many cars for over ten years. They are never looking to rip you off or make any dishonest money from you. Carsport did an incredible job on my wife’s envoy. They repaired this awful roar and clanking sound, threw some new oil in it, and aligned it after replacing the lower control arms and hub bearing. Emmanuel kept me updated every step of the way. Highly recommend these guys. Wife says it drives like a brand new car.

My family and I have been going here for over 20 years with cars both domestic and foreign. Theyre honest and with no messing around and will help you in every way possible, Ive tried other places while residing in other cities and wpuld always end up calling Emmanuel & Jimmy for a 2nd opinion or to drove my car into town for them to work on it. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my cars.

Was referred to them by another mechanic as my truck was misfiring off and on. Dropped truck off and did not hear anything for two days! Dropped by to see them and was told engine was no good and to buy a rebuilt engine somewhere or get rid of it! Took it another mechanic who confirmed what I told Emanuel at Carsports what it most likely is which was a broken valve spring on cylinder one! I’m a old car guy who does not like working to exstensively on newer cars but also know when someone is not knowledgeable on something! My F150 is running great now and yes I did have to pay 500 bucks to get repaired versus paying probably 6 grand or more on rebuilt engine! I was told by the other mechanic who fixed my car that the owner of car sport was out of country and they are usually a little better than that! All I know is I won’t be going back there!

This review breaks my heart to write especially because my dad has been going to this shop over 25 years and I have used this place several times in the past. I took my vehicle to carsport to find out what was causing my battery to drain so quickly and also to get two new tires and a rearview mirror put in. A few days later Emmanuel called my father told him that my engine was flooded and after they drained it the vehicle was working fine. this was 671 dollars. I went up to carsport to pick up my vehicle pregnant and with my 2 year old daughter. I didnt even make it 10 miles and the battery and break light started to flash, by the time I got to fry and 529 my car has stopped completely. I called carsport and they towed it back to their shop and told me it was the alternator and not only will I have to pay another 410$ Emmanuel told me that I was also responsible for the 86$ tow as well and had a attitude about it. I have been in Katy all my life and I went to Taylor high school and I have NEVER been treated so bad in my life! he didnt apologize once or even wave the towing fee knowing that I had my 2 year old daughter in vehicle when it stopped. I towed my car to a new mechanic and they said in good faith usually when you spend this amount of money and you are a reoccurring customer they want to make things better! I was thinking the same thing but I guess my business is no longer a priority. I would have been willing to pay extra if needed too but the fact that I didnt get an apology or any care that I literally just left the shop 30 mins before it broke down!!!!! I just wanted my vehicle out of there!

I have what seems like a fleet of old cars, and Ive spent thousands of dollars at Car Sport. Like most repair shops, they seem to know what they are doing, and my cars have been repaired as advertised. However, the mark of a shop you want to trust is defined by what they do when there is a problem. Unfortunately, Carsport failed the test. They were doing about $1300 of repairs to my car and broke some electronics. Rather than admit it, and make it right, they denied it and charged me to fix it. All I can say is, poor form Carsport. I miss-judged you guys. You just lost a customer that drives & repairs a lot of older cars. I would have worked with you on bill if you approached it honestly.

Very disappointing experience! I took my truck to Carport on a recommendation from another shop & these reviews. What I experienced was very disappointing. I requested 2 items be fixed & the truck be checked out for any additional work needed. I left it with them for a week while out of town. I had to call numerous times to the shop. No one ever knew what was going on, and I never got a call back. Upon returning, I find out that the work I requested was NOT done, but they did do additional work which was not authorized. I WILL NOT be returning.

This is, hands down, one of the best auto repair facilities in the west Houston/Katy area. Not only are the staff extremely friendly, but they are very knowledgeable and their pricing is better than fair. Love this place!

Jimmy and Manny are a rare breed. These guys run a solid business backed by solid integrity and right pricing. They are quick to let you know when things needs to be done and what things can wait.I have had several large jobs done here: 1. VW Touareg - both turbos replaced required engine removal 2. My wife VW Passat threw a rods and Jimmy did a full engine replacement. Both jobs were priced right and the quality of the repairs were perfect. We have had dozens of small jobs, oil changes, etc, etc, etc. We have used CarSport for going on 6 years and I cannot give a higher recommendation.

I am so disgusted in this business. My daughter took her car to them and all they did was take her money and leave nuts and bolts thrown around under the hood! She took it back after it broke down AGAIN right after they said it was fixed!!! They then said that they would fix what was wrong and NOT charge her labor if she bought the part. In the end she still has a car with the same problems and is out $900.00 of her hard earned money. After reading the reviews, I see that my daughter wasnt the only one with the same issue! How heartbreaking that there are people out there that can be so ugly! SHAME ON YOU! Yall will have to answer to God for this one!

Let me start by saying Ive been a consistent customer of Carsport, and until this summer, I had no complaints. However, in early June, my car was in need of new engine mounts and a left side drive axle replacement. The owner, Jimmy, after finishing the job, suggested that I replace both front struts because they were riding hard and making loud noises over bumps on the road. I agreed to replace them because I trusted their work and they had not gouged me for money when they easily could have before. When I got the car back, the right side was much stiffer than before, and made dangerously loud thudding noises when going over even the lightest bumps. On top of that, the right strut would bottom out when going over speed bumps. Over the next nine weeks, I took the car back three times, and each time, Jimmy gave it back only slightly better than before, but still worse off than before the strut replacement. Last week, he gave up trying, claiming they had replaced the struts three times, as well as the strut tower bar (metal brace that goes over the engine in some cars). The strut is still riding hard, and the strut tower bar has not been replaced contrary to Jimmys statement. Now Im at the point where I do not trust Carsports word when they say theyve replaced the struts beyond the initial job, and I will not be returning to them in the future.

Took my car to car sport they told me the throttle body was dirty and only charges me $50 to fix it great NOT my car broke down on the way home which is directly behind the shop about 3 blocks and had to have it towed to them after 4 days they called and told me my car was ready $700 dollars later and my car is still not fixed and broke down again and had to pay to have it towed back to the shop and now they want to charge me more money to fix something else Im so pissed Update Just got a reply from Owner Glad to say they will fix my car for no extra cost at this time not very many shops will do that so I want to say thank you and the car will be brought back tonight and once again thank you

SAYING IT WAS THE SUN THAT CAUSED THE CHIPS IN MY WINDSHIELD, WHICH WERE NEVER THERE BEFORE I TOOK MY CAR THERE, THE LAST TIME I TOOK MY CAR THERE, THEY ATTEMPTED TO DO A BRAKE JOB, AND GOING HOME, WHEN I PUT ON THE BRAKES ON THE FRWY, EXISTING, THE BRAKES DIDNT WORK AT ALL, CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO DOWN SHIFT AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR TO ANOTHER GARAGE AND PAY TO HAVE THE BRAKES REPAIRED PROPERLY, THE CHARGES INCLUDED REPAIRING THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSED, TWO BRAKE LINES HAD TO BE REPLACED. VARIFIED, BY THE MECHANIC, WHO GOT THE ENTIRE JOB DONE IN ONE DAY, NOT 3 DAYS LIKE THIS GARAGE.I HAD TAKEN MY CAR THERE TO BE SERVED AND WAITED AN ENTIRE WEEK TO FIND MY CAR HADNT BEEN TOUCHED. WHEN I LEFT ED THERE, MORE DAMAGE WAS APPEARED IN THE PARKING LOT THEN WHEN I TOOK IT IN . TAKING YOUR CAR TO A SHOP SHOULDNT CAUSE MORE DAMAGE TO YOUR CAR IN THE FIRST PLACE. IT NO LONGER IS A GOOD REPAIR SHOP, I WOULDNT LET THESE GUYS WORK ON A LAWN MOWER. TAKE YOUR CAR SOME PLACE ELSE IF YOU WANT A REPAIR DONE RIGHT.

I have used them several times and they have done a fine job. One of the few automotive shops that you can visit and sometimes leave paying less than you thought.
