We called late in the afternoon and Zane showed up at almost 5:00 - I’m sure he wanted to be off work already. He was very nice and professional and told us exactly what needed to be done. He was a great tech.I will refer Pepper Air to friends and family- or anyone ! Great service :) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My house was built in 2012. I bought it in 2015. I dont remember the exact date when we hired their service, probably about 10 years ago. The service is always excellent, and our A/C unit is still in good condition under their service. I recommend 100%.

It was very little time from when the issue was identified to the time they got the replacement part into my house. I love the fact that they double checked each other‘s work to make sure everything was done properly. After everything was done, they made sure to clean up any mess that they made in the process

I called and left a message a little after 7am the day after a holiday, they returned my call in about 30 minutes and the tech was at my house in another 15 minutes. Zane and his helper were very friendly and took time to show and explain what was wrong. They were able to quickly fix it and make sure nothing else was wrong. I’ve been a customer of Pepper A/C for years now and I’ve never been disappointed in their work. Most recently, I had my unit maintenance done by AC tech, John, and he did a terrific job. He was courteous, polite, and very knowledgeable about the job at hand. He provided good detail on the problem and what steps he took to resolve it. I couldn’t be more pleased with the job he did. I highly recommend Pepper AC as it doesn’t get much better than the service they provide.

My AC went out at 2am. I called Pepper Air around 7:30 & they were here by 10am. Replaced the capacitor & were finished before 10:30. Reasonable prices, courteous & efficient. I would definitely recommend.

My ac went out, and they came the same day and did a diagnosis. Unfortunately, they had to order the defective part, which took a couple of days to come in. When it did, they came right out and installed it. The techs were great, and I would call them again.

HORRIBLE service. Absolutely horrible. They came out to “fix” our air conditioning, but instead burned through the wires of the unit. Then, when we contacted the company to inform them that the air conditioning is no longer cold once again due to their mistake, they wanted to charge $150 to come out to “fix” it again. I will absolutely not be referring to a friend, family, acquaintance, not even to an enemy. Worst company we have dealt with and has ZERO accountability. Thanks for leaving us with more damage than before and in a hot home in this texas heat.

After another A/C company were no shows twice in an 18 hour period, I was lucky enough to find Pepper A/C. The tech, John, arrived on time and was able to diagnose the issue. He had to use dye to find the leak, which would take a few cycles to show itself. He came back a few days later and was able to determine the leak was due to an installation error. While other companies may have used this opportunity to sell me a new, and very expensive condenser coil, John was able to repair the install issue and saved me a few thousand dollars. The repaired unit is operating famously now and should be prepared to keep my family cool during the upcoming Texas summer. So glad I found my new air conditioning compny, Pepper A/C!!!

Horrible service! The tech they sent was not knowledgeable in this line of work. He put a gallon of dye in our system in attempt to find a leak and still could not locate the issue. They charged us $1600 dollars to temporarily get the AC blowing cold air and stated that they would need to return in a few weeks to make the permanent repair. We contacted another contractor to get a second opinion and they located the issue (Bad Dual Run Capacitor) and replaced the bad parts for $250.00.

Professional, on time, excellent communication. This was a scheduled preventative maintenance visit, and they found one capacitor that was likely to fail soon. They gave me the option of replacing or waiting until it failed. I chose to replace it now to avoid a disruption during the summer heat. Zane and Neil were great.

Love playing my part to support this local business. Great people that ensure all your HVAC needs are met. They came out last summer when my AC broke and needed it fixed as soon as possible. Did not price gouge me either. I would highly recommend!

Neil was very professional and knowledgeable. He performed A/C preventive maintenance and service on the furnace that was not working properly. He answered all of my questions and was polite. I highly recommend Pepper A/C and Heating.

Very happy with the service I received. Have been using them for several years now. They come twice a year and check the system. I had them install a new system after freezemagedon killed my old one. The new system has a filter that only has to be changed once a year. It costs more but is worth it for reduced allergens in my house

Pepper a/c has always been there when we needed them. We had to replace 2 systems in our 15 year old house (builder installed), and Pepper suggested two-stage systems that have saved big on increasing energy costs. They are always responsive, easy and reliable to work with. They are our go-to heating and a/c professionals.

Called on Sunday afternoon late due to my fan motor on the outside condenser unit was not working. Asked them if they could come the next morning and they were there by 0930. They fixed the issue and had me up and running in an hour. Very professional and did a great job. Will definitely use them again if needed

If I could give no stars, I would. We bought a house a few years ago near Denton and Pepper had installed our air conditioners, we have four Lennoxs. The boss of Pepper came out bragging about how he came up with the entire plan for the ac in our home. Well we have had nothing but problems out of all four of them. We called Pepper the first time it messed up but they just came out and didnt do anything. Then found out one of them stepped on a vent and cut it open, without fixing it. None of these units were installed correctly and frankly I would not ever recommend Pepper air conditioning to anyone ever. This is a terrible air conditioning company. If you want to save money, stay away from these guys....

I was very impressed with Pepper’s service. I used a competitor and after 2 days and 3 people I gave up and called Pepper. Pepper diagnosed and repaired my unit within an hour. After calling Pepper they showed up at my house in 15 minutes All-in-all, 1 hour and 15 minutes I was up and running! Just incredible! Great job!

Weve used Pepper AC for over 10 years. Any time we use someone else we regret it. Pepper AC makes a point of sending the same tech each time so they are familiar with the our house and AC system and we are comfortable not having a new person in the house each time.

Pepper Air is awesome! They answer their phone and let you know when your appointment will be. They call and text to give you a heads-up that they are on the way. They diagnose and give you a very accurate estimate prior to completing any work required. John has been our technician twice and he has been very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and fast. We are Pepper Air Customers to infinity and beyond! :)

I must say that this company who my family has used for 20 years will never get anymore business from us. Patrick is totally unprofessional, rude and is totally dishonest. He lied directly to me about things he said he told me on the phone. Neil the technician showed up said it was the capacitor which was under warranty he said. Never did he ever give me an estimate before he did the work. I had two witnesses here that can back me up. After the work was done I’m presented with a $517 bill for an under warranty capacitor. Requested an itemized bill but didn’t have one. Please pass this on especially on your neighborhood web pages.

We have used Pepper Air maintenance for 3 years. Recently, John discovered a problem with our heating. It was fixed and is now working perfectly. Everyone weve dealt with is great. John, Patrick and Penny are great to deal with. Always prompt and keep us informed!

Saturday afternoon and the A/C quit. I was afraid we would have to endure the summer heat before we could even schedule a servIce call on Monday. Pepper Air came to our rescue and got us going in very short order. Placed a call at 4:30pm and Neil (the service technician) was at our door 1.5 hours later. The house was just beginning to warm up. He had the problem diagnosed and the replacement part installed in minutes. So very happy!

I highly recommend Pepper air-conditioning and heating in Justin Texas. I have used them on several occasions and they are very, prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. I had a freeze up of my system due to low Freon, and John the technician came out and solved the issue quickly.

I called this company toCome out and check for a leak on my 2 year old ac system that was cooling but not like it use to. They came out and said they needed to do a dye test to find the leak. And they recharged my system. The dye test was $500And labor and refriegerent were about $1000. Obviously they were not fixing the leak, and they said they needed to come back to look at the dye in 3 weeks. Here we are, 3 weeks later, the same technician comes out and says it’s going to another $1800 to fix the leak. I said let me make some calls and I’ll get back to you. So I have 2 more companies come out today. Both out of my hometown. I don’t tell them there is dye in my system. Just that I have a small leak I think. The both find the leak in less than 5 min using squirt bottles and what looks basically Like soapy water. Both say I have a bad weld from the originalInstaller. And both say I need about 1lb of refrigerant to top it off. I explained after the quote that I had dye put in the system on another companies recommendation and neither saw any dye and both actuallySaid that should have been a last resort because dye can cause other issues to a system. One of the companies even suggested I called the original installer and see if they could warranty their work: funny thing is, my warranty expired 3 weeks ago about the time Pepper diagnosed my leak. This same company that recommended that came in at $800 to fix the leak. So question is…. The dye job was a waste of money. That’s $500And their quote of $1800 to finish the job and fix the leak is $1000 to high. Not to mention now I’m another 1lb light in refrigerant because we waited 3Weeks to look at it again. All I can say is, ask A lot of questions and get multiple quotes. Bad diag, mis-use of time, waste of products, and overly highCharges get this review what it is

Before leaving a review I waited for almost a month. I want to say that Patrick, John and there helper were very kind and knowledgeable. After the 1st visit it was determined that a whole new ac unit was needed, and this was after John tried all he could to get my 12 year unit to work. They were kind enough to let us borrow some indoor ac units so we could bare the 100 degree heat till the new unit came in. I am the type of person who likes to watch and see everything that is happening while installation is going on, and no matter my question they made sure to answer everything with a smile. They are the BEST! I know they may be a little more expensive than you may be accustomed to, but Neil will take excellent care of you & your equipment & will take the time to explain what you can do to make your equipment last as well as perform @ the peak of efficiency.

I have used Pepper for 20+ years on both my house and my rental. They have installed full systems, done emergency repairs, and regular seasonal checkups. Professional outfit out of Justin with great service and competitive prices.

Mis diagnosed my issue and charged me $304 to do it. I had another HVAC come out and they fixed my issue for $39. Also, Pepper tried to convince me to replace the circuit breaker next to ac unit for another $250. I didn’t replace the circuit breaker.

Do not use Pepper Air. They are a dishonest company and take advantage of you in an emergency situation. John performed work on my unit without my consent or giving me a quote. Then handed me a bill for $2000 to add freon and dye. John and Patrick will rip you off. They will lie to you about what is needed and overcharge you so they can make more money. Horrible company with horrible people.

$300 service fee to tell me what was wrong with our AC. Waited three days for an official quote on parts/labor but never received one. Called Barts who came out, quoted me on the spot, and fixed it the next day for nearly $700 less than what was verbally estimated with Pepper. Technician was friendly but not sure what happened on the administrative side.

I have maintenance contracts with Pepper A/C and have had for l long time. They are always quick to respond, easy to work with, technicians that are dependable, and comparable in price to other competitors. They are my “go to” people!

Well 3 trips and $604 later our ac still wasnt working right,I took off cover where breakers are to inside fan tapped on black boxes lightly I heard a POP MAYBE A STUCK RELAY BEEN RUNNING SINCE 11 AM YESTERDAY MORNING, THE INSIDE FAN MOTOR BURNED OUT 2ND ONE THEY PUT IN THERE PAID $7,500 FOR WHOLE SYSTEM NEW IN 2021 ,FIRST MOTOR LASTED LESS THAN ONE YEAR THEY PUT SUPPOSEDLY ANOTHER NEW ONE IN THERE UNDER WARRANTY, THIS LAST ONE LASTED A LITTLE OVER A YEAR 7-02-2024

Great service! Our ac unit went out Pepper Air sent repairman out same day. Repairman after trouble shooting able to determine compressor went out. Replaced with new unit from Lennox a few days later earlier than expected.

Great organization. The technician once our A/C unit was assessed, they explained how they would resolve the issue. Great job. Very professional.

PEPPERS does not back their work or product. They installed a $7000 system in our home, for a part of our house that gets little use. It probably ran for less than 25 hours in over a year. We went to turn it on, and it wouldn’t cool. They charged us $400 to come do a leak detection, and then $200 to come out and see what that test showed. Shocking, the leak was in an outside fitting that they didn’t tighten. So, they conveniently left something in an inferior condition to collect on two service calls, because parts are covered for 10 years but not their labor. Total BS! So if you need someone now, do not trust them. Expensive lesson learned, and that $600 has bought them a lifetime guarantee on this advertisement of their service.

John the technician came out and had to do a lot to fix and repair our system. The a/c unit is only 5 years old but had some minor things like the fan, condensation pipe needed to be cleared, so it had to be done.I have cancer and can’t do a lot unfortunately. But he cut down part of a tree limb to gain access to the unit.Very nice and apologetic about that he did find that needed repaired. Explained things thoroughly and again, always hoped for the least to do but found a few things that needed to be done so that little to nothing would need done in the future.Pray our family is in great hands with this company as well as my overall health.

I turned my air conditioning on for the first time Saturday afternoon and discovered, much to my dismay, that it was blowing hot air. I decided to call the local folks, Pepper AC & Heating, because I believe in buying local whenever possible. Granted, the season hasn’t started yet, but the service was exceptional. A friendly office staffer took my call, gave me an accurate time estimate, and the serviceman was here within an hour, repaired some burnt wires that were a consequence of my wiring my Nest thermostat incorrectly, and within an hour I had AC. I still saved money installing my Nest myself because their price was so reasonable! I am delighted with them and pleased to recommend them to anyone with a problem with their climate control system!

Ive used Pepper Air Conditioning two separate times. The first time our air conditioning downstairs just stopped. I called and scheduled an appointment for the next day but by then it had started working again. The tech went ahead and checked it out but said he couldnt find anything wrong with it and if it starts to act up again, call them out and there wont be a charge for the trip. Fair enough. Problem was it never did. I called them at the beginning of the next summer and asked if I could use that credit to get a checkup done. They told me too much time had passed and that it would now be a full service call. Fast forward to a year later. In finishing out our upstairs, I decide to have our 2nd unit inspected and ready before turning it on. I specifically asked for an all around checkup. The tech came out and tested the unit and turned on the air conditioner to show me it was working. I never asked about the heat and assumed it would be good as well since he checked it out. After all, it was summer and 100+ upstairs. When a cold front blew in, I tried to turn on the heater and it didnt work. I called Pepper the next day and explained that I had the Tech out for an overall checkup and that the heater didnt work and I would like them to come out and fix it. The response I received was that in the summer they only do A/C checkups and in order to do a winter checkup, I would have to wait till the outside and inside temp of my house are 65 degrees or below. Really?? That makes NO sense to me at all. I hang up the phone and call Barts Heating and Air. They confirm that they should be able to test and get my heater working WITHOUT it having to be 65 degrees. They come out and within 15 minutes, determine its the thermostat and replace it for me. Your mileage may vary with them but my two experiences left me wishing I had went with someone else.

I was quoted 425 dollars to install a fan motor by John and by the end of the job without warning I was charged over 900 dollars because I supplied my own fan motor the technician John never told me of the price increase I will never use their service again and would never recommend them to any one if I could give them negative stars I would have done that I worked in the HVAC /COMMERCIAL Refrigeration FIELD for 15 years And taught classroom instructions for an additional 5 years on HVAC this type of disservice s unacceptable and despicable and I have the receipt to prove this atrocious behavior do not use them you will regret it......

What can I say well lets see first I was told the service call would be 79.00 ok then when the guy got here I felt like he did not know what he was doing said he could not replicate the problem I was explaining to him then you tell me I needed a capacitor ok so when he was done I got charged 178.00 for the service call & 262.50 for a 10.00 part so total bill was 462.16 for him to not fix my a/c thank you very much so I had to call someone else out who did not try to replicate the problem but figured out what was wrong with it within the first 10 minutes so needless to say I will not be using pepper again unless they get people who actually know what they are doing I dont have money to throw away

Great service, prompt and friendly staff. I have used this company for over 35 years.

Their charge is suppose to be $75 per hour including diagnostics. Which they charged me, then another $187.50 for checking it out, to tell me my breaker is bad and he can’t fix it, he’s not a electrician.30 mins there and $262.50 later it’s still not fixed. These people are crooks and should be in jail.

Having problems with heater 2 days before Christmas & during an arctic blast in Texas. John came out the morning that I called and addressed the problem.

I UNDERSTAND WE ARE IN BUSINESS TO MAKE A PROFIT , BUT A $700 PROFIT ON A $480 OUTLAY I THINK IS OUTRAGEOUS. SPOKE TO THE OWNER AND HIS ATTITUDE WAS REALLY THAT IT IS WHAT IT IS. PLEASE SHOP AROUND AND BE CAUTIOUS BEFORE LETTING THESE GUYS IN TO REPAIR YOUR SYSTEM
