Thank you Matt for fixing the issue with my heater!! Matt was friendly, on time and explained the issue clearly that I understood why this issue keeps happening that other companies couldn’t figure out in the past.Also thank you to the ladies in the office for getting me taken care of the same day.Overall two thumbs up!!

We used the online scheduling for the service because the line went to voicemail whenever we called. We did not have a technician show in the time window and I called. They did schedule someone to come out end of day but still rather have had better scheduling as I had to schedule time away from work for the appointment.However, the technician Matt exceeded our expectations in every way. He conducted a meticulous inspection of our AC unit, patiently answered all of our questions, and went above and beyond to ensure our system was operating at its peak performance. His expertise and professionalism were evident throughout the entire process.He took the time to explain the issues we were facing and the solutions he recommended, ensuring we fully understood everything.

Matt did a great job. He came out to change out a thermostat and he also gave me info on my entire AC system. Matt told me everything he was doing and why.This is the 2nd time that Matt has worked on one of my units and I have been very satisfied each time.

We just had Cody here to service our furnace for the winter. He was prompt, polite, listened to our concerns and addressed all our questions thoroughly. He cleaned the furnace . Very pleased and we will call again when we need service!

When Cody arrived, he listened patiently to my description of an issue with our A/C unit. He then proceeded to diagnose and resolve the issue in short order. He was courteous and considerate as he worked in the house while I worked at my computer.We have used Bowien for years and are super thankful they service the Burnet area.

Have used Bowien for 2 years. Professional staff that provides great customer service for AC repair. Owner came out and installed mini split that looks and works great (good price too). Receive thorough semi-annual services. Cody is a great technician that answers our questions and concerns.

Cody was so nice and polite. I dont ever turn on my heater before its been looked over.He checked my heater very thoroughly, and made sure it was in good working condition before I needed to use it! Plus, he didnt freak out over my 4 small yappers barking at him! Thanks so much, Cody!

I had an AC company come out to fix an AC problem on my 3 year old house. The company was selected by my home warranty company. That AC company stated my control board was bad as well as an vent closure motor in the attic. Cost of repair was close to $1500 and they never tested or checked the control board or motor with any kind of equipment. I was told the control board is bad based on his experience. On top of that, the AC technician who was doing all of the work could not speak English, only Spanish. He had a helper who did the interpretation. I had Croaker come out and he tested the board and motors with appropriate equipment and found them to be working just fine. Turns out I had a sealing problem around the vent closure mechanism.

Good and fast service. Cody arrived before 2:00PM and found the problem with my air conditioner, found the part he needed locally, went and picked up the part and removed the bad part. Took him about 30 minutes to replace the part and restore the A/C to service. I was well pleased with the service by Cody and Bowiens A/C

Bowien Heating & Star Air saved me over a thousand dollars because of either the wrong diagnostics or the possibility of just trying to price gouge me from another company called Quality Heating and Air. They sent out their technician Cody who was completely respectful to the fact that we have a newborn and when she was sleeping he didn’t want to wake her and was trying to be as quiet as he could as he worked to not wake her. If you have any concerns don’t go anywhere else. They’re honest about the problem and won’t recommend anything you don’t need. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Cody was on time and thorough doing the fall check on my furnace. I much appreciated that he showed me how to set the thermostat as I had been having trouble with it holding a temp when I set it. I was very pleased with his work.

Star Air was very quick to send someone out with our issue. They also were to schedule the work needed very quickly! In fact, they came the next day. Matt, our technician was very helpful and was able to come back quickly when another issue came up. Very happy with their service!

Had the AC go down in the middle of the night. Spoke with Barry first thing next morning and technician was out same day and I’m a few hours. Matt F. Had it diagnosed and fixed and checked out the whole system inside and out. When In need no doubt who I’m reaching out to.On time, email and text confirming appointment and even a photo of who was coming and a location map of how long.

Cody was on time, actually even a little early. He figured out the problem with our ac and it was a quick repair. Cody was very professional and friendly. Thank you.

Fan motor was screaming, and they came out the same day to check it out. The noise had stopped, so we decided to hold off on replacing it. However, it started screaming again that night. Cody came out again the next day and replaced the fan motor. He deducted the cost of the service call the previous day, even though he had done a full inspection. The fan is now quiet and we are very happy with the service..

He arrived on time, found the issue and resolved the problem quickly. He is very polite and respectful.

We called Star Air to get a second quote on an air handler that needed replacing after being quoted an arm and leg from a competitor in Austin that tried to upsell us on every service they had. Star Air was prompt in sending someone out and getting us a quote at a much more understandable price. Shout out to Mike who went above and beyond, coming in on a Saturday morning and saving our bacon from the Texas heat. Mike even followed up with us later in the evening to make sure everything was going smoothly and that everything was cooling down as it should. Top notch service and very appreciative they cared enough to follow up after the installation.

We called Star/Bowien at 5 pm on a Saturday when our AC wasn’t cooling. Cody was there in less than two hours and did a phenomenal job diagnosing the problem. We’ve used this company for several years now and have always been impressed by their professionalism.

I have used Star Air twice and I have had fantastic service. I needed to reschedule and they were great about accommidating my schedule. I took advantage of the 2 times a year on checking my AC/furnance deal. When the technician came out this time, he found a problem and was quick to take care of the issue. No let me book another appointment stuff. He was here and wanted to take care of the issue now. Cant tell you how much I appreciated that. He was extremely professional. Mike was our technician. He was very professional and friendly. He even came back on Sunday to double check the refrigerant pressure. Some of the work included replacing a part that was still under the manufacturers warranty and they took care of contacting them and all of the paperwork so we didnt have to do that.

I literally could not say enough. I put in an inquiry with home advisor to get a few estimates after the first company took days just to get me a quote. That made me lose faith in them and I need someone fast. The next morning I get a call from Donna. She was delightful at every step. She gave me the quote based on the best information I was able to give her and it fell right about what I was expecting given what a friend of mine in a different state was saying. She came out the next day and got the measurements and found out we needed a bigger system based on the size of the old unit. Got me the new quote fast and I was able to book the install within days. In this crazy hot summer. The day before Holly calls to ask if I could be home so they could look at something I can’t recall. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it back home so she just rolled with it and let me know they’d be out in the morning. The guys (I never did catch their names) showed up a little before 7 which woke me up but I wasn’t upset. I was ready to get this tackled. They were both very polite, asked permission to access the inside of my home despite them obviously needing to for the thermostat and to check it was working right. They worked their butts off. There was an issue with a fuse and one of them was determined to figure it out. Actually taught me I have a 3rd breaker that I didn’t know about. Just an all around pleasant experience. I rarely leave reviews but these folks earned it. 10/10

Our A/C was not blowing cold air, and it was over 100 degrees outside,so I called Star Air. It was after business hours, and we got scheduled for early the following morning. Travis and Brian came to the rescue promptly at 9 am and quickly put an end to the misery. They were extremely friendly and were in and out in no time. Thanks guys!

AC went out Monday, called Star Air after 5:00 pm and they came out first thing in the morning! Could be more thankful for such quick response. Bryan and Jeffrey were very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Asked me what I noticed or heard snd went right to work. Explained what he was checking and found the problem within minutes. Let me know what it was going to cost and took care of it. He then checked my Freon levels and made sure everything else was working correctly before they left. Definitely recommend Star Air!!

Excellent company to take care of HVAC issues. Have had several repairs over the years and a whole system replacement through them. Recently Joseph did a superb job in repairing our system when a leak developed, despite difficulties getting all the parts needed. Him and Holly kept us apprised of what was going on and what needed to be done. Joseph also explained the issue well without patronizing. Showed up on time and got things done as quickly as they could be done. Excellent service!

Saw a lot of people recommend this place so I gave it a shot. I called and scheduled a 97$ diagnostic, I was not home but my brother was, so service tech came out and just changed out my air handler fuse I had told him was popping. (I Did not approve any separate work or parts) With out any real diagnostic he takes off to the office and calls me with a lady and tells me he doesn’t know what’s going on he’d have to do a process of elimination. So the lady tells me she’s adding his labor and fuse to the bill (for what reason I’m not sure, as I didn’t sign any pre work papers, or even get a phone call about any labor or parts while he was here) so as I was ready to pay the 97$ (even though there was no diagnostic, just a part replacement and hope) they hit me with a bill of 350$. I’ve been calling, with the run around answers of “our boss is busy” “he’s been in meetings” even sent in an email with no response. So I’m stuck here with a 350$ bill for a “diagnostic” with fuse replacement and 20 minutes of labor I didn’t pre approve. Still don’t know what’s wrong with my unit. So if you hire this company just be careful.

Star Air installed a new Carrier Infinity system for us last month and its AMAZING! I never realized how loud our old system was until we got this new one and its so quite. It cools so much better. Star Air did my air duct cleaning and installed an ionizer that has already made such a significant difference in my asthma flare ups and allergy related headaches! They also discovered an additional allergy causing issue while doing the cleaning, that could have cost me additionally and did require an additional visit on their part, but corrected it as part of their service. In addition, I forgot to mention that before choosing Star, Barry came to our house and met with my husband and I for about an hour. We were so impressed with his knowledge and willingness to inform us, that we went with Star Air. So glad we did! I cannot say enough.They will definitely get our return air condition business.

I am unfortunately not impressed. Was told $95 to look at the unit to see why my air is not as cold as it was. Guy says I have to wash the dirt off the unit. He did that. Air still not cold. Used to get it down to 78 easy. Struggles for 80/81. Whole time he was here, saying he had been doing this for 20 years. Last really good AC tech I had actually measured the temperature at each vent to make sure is was blowing super cold. This guy used his hand. Then to top it all off, you guys charge me 123 bucks. Said freon was good. I just read if unit is good, wrapped line should be at a range of 45 to 55. Mine is probably running at 75 or 80. Obviously this guy talks a lot and cant fix it. Now I will call a real AC company. Probably tell me my compressor shot or freon is crap and actually fix the problem instead of pissing on it with a hose.
