I called Reliant as the heat system was not working properly. The person on the phone without any delay set up an appointment for the same day.Technician Collin Scareborough came and checked out all the air vents, thermostats and the main source in attic. For a person like me who have no idea about how the whole ac/heat system works, he was really patient and did not use complicated terms or words to describe the issue so that I can understand very easily. He is extremely helpful and made sure to recheck everything then to suggest me diagnose.I will highly recommend him for his excellent work ethics and warm professional behavior. He does work up and beyond.
I do not have an issue with their service techs. They are great. My concern is generally with the company. Recently the startup capacitor needed to be replaced. When the technician was done he told me the capacitor was covered but labor was $92. I told him no I have 10year free parts and service. His system did not show it so I had to pull out my invoice receipt when I bought the unit in 2022. He took a picture of it, and when he sent it to corporate and spoke to them on the phone they did not have it keyed in their system. It may seem simple BUT it is always the simple things that matter. The devil is in the details. Another time they were supposed to show up for service and no one came. I called and the girl told me that the service tech got caught on another call and was unable to make it. A whole day lost and not one person from Reliant called to inform me. Poor customer service. On the bright side the service techs appear to be well trained and thoroughly check out a system during the maintenance calls. I cannot say enough good things about them.
As the temperature reached below 30 degrees and I discovered my heat was not warming my home, I called Reliant early one morning. i didnt expect a technician until the following day. To my surprise a technician was at home within 2 hours. Nelson was dispatched and was very kind, knowledgeable and thorough. I signed up for the Family plan. Thank you Reliant.
Have used Reliant regularly for over 6 years. Owning multiple properties They have repaired existing units and installed new units. All technicians are professional, no pushy sales pitches, just honest work at a fair price. They truly are the best service provider in the metroplex. Dont waste your time calling anyone else.
So I took the time to schedule an appointment with Reliant online for Black Friday from 1p-6p to have my furnace looked at (thinking that the office would be working seeing how their website states open 24 hrs). I get a text at like 7am on Friday morning stating that my technician Francisco is on his way. But why am I receiving this text like 6 hrs before my scheduled appointment? So I tap the link for their technician tracking portal which didnt even work! It gave me a blank screen with an error message stating the tracking system isnt working. So I called the number on their website to verify that my appointment was still good. So at this point, I speak to a 3rd party operator that had NO information or even had access to my appointment details. She took my information and address and told me she would forward my info to the on-call technician. Mind you this was all done on Friday. Today is Sunday at 11am and I have not received 1 communication at all from this company. I would highly recommend going elsewhere for service seeing how this company has issues with their internal line of communication and cant even respond to potential customers during the holidays let alone emergency situations. I made the choice to use Reliant based on their reviews and radio ads. They come highly recommend by those that have had a good experience. Good thing there are other companies out there that do have great customer service.
Repair tech was there the day I called to start Reliant services. The tech was helpful, thorough, and knowledgeable. He showed several options for the new thermostat needed for my existing system. Great begnning as new customer.
Reliant Air and their crews are beyond words. Jorge showed at 8:30 am with his crew with a great attitude and ready to do the job and left 12 hours later with the same happy demeanor. Him and his crew were respectful of my home and completely cleaned up as well as laid working cloths to avoid large messes. Jorge answered all questions I had and gave a tutorial on my new equipment. They were A+ as well as John Spriggs who sold the unit to me was remarkable no gimmicks as they say. He worked extra hard to close the deal and have me 100% happy. I would recommend Reliant to all who are looking and chose to be respected and serviced.Kudos to Reliant Air Conditioning they were a fantastic experience for a very large purchase.
Our technician was on time and communicated with us even before his arrival giving us etaβs. Service was thorough and he was very friendly and professional. He took the time to explain what he did and ensured Tatar we were satisfied with what he had done. We asked him to reduce the airflow to one of our rooms that gets very hot in winter. He adjusted it twice until we weee satisfied! Reliant has been a great AC/ Heat company to work with over the past 10 plus years! Honest and reasonable!
I have used this company for years. They are honest and extremely trustworthy. They have completed work on several of my homes and I can not recommend them enough. They truly are the best AC company I have ever dealt with.They have installed new units in several of my houses and I could not be happier. Recently we had an issue and Stephen King was awesome, honest and I could not not be happier.I will never use any other company!

Mixed Review. The service was great, same day the problem got fixed and I even bought the maintenance plan. The problem is the value. I asked the tech what the part normally costs because he was saying he would try to use a universal part since its what he had in the van. He said he didnt know. I later found out I overpaid about a hundred dollars, compared to average costs parts/labor. In addition I paid a hundred for the diagnostic fee and I was hoping I could get that credited since I ended up getting the repair done but he said unfortunately this company doesnt do that.Because of value this was not a five star experience, and I will say that if the company reaches out and does something (like credit a hundred to the maintenance plan I purchased) to make up for it, Id appreciate it because Im sure theyre trying to do right with their clients.
Have had the worst experience with this company. We built a brand new house and Reliant was the company who installed entire HVAC system. We have had them out now 5-6 times (warranty period) and issues still havent been resolved. After the 2nd or 3rd time, where they came out and balanced things, we suspected something was wrong so we hired a different HVAC company in the area to come do an inspection (one we have used in previous years at our other house that has done phenomenal work for us and that we trust). Basically, the duct work needed to be re-done/re-hung in several areas as the layout of the ductwork and low quality of installation was causing significant airflow issues (may still not be fixed; they came out again today so who knows!). Whats frustrating, aside from the quality of work being horrendous, especially for a brand new home in expensive new neighborhood, is that the first two/three times they came out to address issues they didnt identify any of those issues that were clear as day when we had a different company out (once I showed them pictures of all of the deficiencies they finally agreed to re-do and correct as they acknowledged they were probably the reasons for the issues we were having). Had I not said anything then Im sure they would have been happy to walk out of warranty period leaving us with trash installation that would have ended up causing us to have to pay thousands of dollars to fix in the near future (to be honest Im not sure we still wont have to do that since we may just have to start over to get a quality installation from a company we can trust to not cheap out on quality so they can run and gun and complete as many contracts as possible from this builder and/or other jobs they have).Needless to say I would never do business with this company in the future, and strongly advise you think twice about using them as its possible you could end up with shoddy work that you may not notice until its too late to force them to do anything about it!By the way, we are still waiting on pictures of all repairs from them (they were supposed to provide those after the most recent changes they made to ducts and what not; we have requested them twice now and still havent received) AND the manager was supposed to call us twice (we have followed up on that twice also) and hasnt.TERRIBLE COMPANY!

I would highly recommend Reliant Heating and Air for scheduled maintenance. Ask for David Estrada. He came out to my house and went above and beyond basic service. He took videos and found things wrong with A/C unit and took the time to explain it to me. Very nice and professional.
Reliant did an amazing job quoting and installing our new AC system. Within 24 hrs of our system failing, we had a quote in hand and the new system installed with no issues. Mike was amazing and quoted our new system quickly. He even had the installers scheduled for the next day! Our installers arrived on time and worked through the day to get the system installed. They were courteous and explained everything as they went. By 6pm, we had our new system running! Highly recommend Reliant!
Scheduled service online Sunday afternoon for Monday at 6pm, the tech arrived around 430pm and was able to troubleshoot our heater issue quickly and had us back up and running in no time! Very much appreciate the quick and friendly service!

Reliant was great up until the time I asked to have some maintenance done. Spent a small fortune on two Lennox hvac systems. The installation was great, but the service is second rate. The high priced jobs get the highest priority and the customer who have already spent money can wait, and wait, and wait. If you can deal with that spend your hard earned money with Reliant.

This company was bought out and now owned by someone newβ¦ well.. Iβm here to tell you that they WILL RIP YOU OFF. Do not go through them, they are now a money hungry company that will convince their customers to buy product and systems they do not need. I would highly recommend getting a second look at your system before making a decision with this company.
I have been using Reliant Air for the last four years. They are all Professional Technicians, mindful they are in someone elseβs home, respectful, knowledgeable and helpful. Abel was all of the above as well as Jimmy who has been assigned to our home in the past. They have a great program for customers, any issue they find they take pictures, show the customer and explain the problem. Then they download the pictures to their computers for their record. They will ask if you want to repaint or not, itβs up to you. They are not pushy, they are not on commission, they donβt try to up-sale you and they are straight forward. This is a great company and their employees exemplify that. From the people who answer the phone to the technicians, class act.

We have been using Reliant Air for years! The service is always thorough, and they always communicate what they find, good or bad, and what the next steps are if issues. Jay has been here sever times. I mentioned to him that I was out of town when the last tune up was done and my son mentioned that it looked like the frip pan was rusted through, and that we probably would need to get that replaced soon. Well, Jay put in an Emergency Replacement request, and itβs being scheduled for first availability. Iβm extremely happy with Reliant and their technicianβs professionalism.
Reliant Air Conditioning has done an excellent job servicing my home for both my A/C and heating needs. Daniel, my technician, stopped by today to make sure our furnace is ready to go for this winter. He checked out everything thoroughly and did an excellent job. His customer service was exemplary. I highly recommend Reliant Air Conditioning.
I was having issues with my AC unit so I contacted Reliant to have a technician come look. They checked everything and told me that my AC filter needed replacement. They didnβt have an extra one with them so they made me order it on amazon and replace it myself. They charged me a diagnostic fee of $99 upfront. After replacing it myself the problem didnβt get fixed so I contacted them again to have the guy come again and check that I replaced the filter properly. I made sure with the lady on the phone that I wouldnβt be charged again. She explicitly told me to not worry and I wouldnβt be charged because it was a βcallbackβ. The technician came again and double checked the filter and it still wasnβt cooling properly. He advised that my home is big for 1 AC unit and I might need another. This time he didnβt ask for payment like the first time around. (Which is fair because it was supposed to be a callback) However, I get an invoice saying it was not a callback and they made me pay another $99 diagnostic fee.It was really unfair for me to be charged for something I was explicitly told I wouldnβt be charged for. On top of that, if the technician had an AC filter then I wouldnβt even have had to call them again because the technician wouldβve fixed the filter himself and advise me on the same day.$200 for one single diagnostic is absurd!
We have used Reliant Air Conditioning twice, and received excellent service both times. One was a complete system replacement, and one was a repair. Highly recommended.

Steven showed up at the appropriate time, did his evaluation and explained the failed parts and gave me pictures of the plates showing the serial and model number for the heater, air handler, condenser, etc. The explanation made me feel comfortable with proceeding with the repair.
Many thanks to Reliant Air Conditioning service tech David Estrada . I called the same day and service for a very faint smell of natural gas in the attic to a HVAC unit. David discovered the location to a connection to a 18 year old flex gas line. He had the part on his truck. Replaced the line/pipe dope. He checked the connections including all the other connections to the 2nd 4 ton unit. This was the only leak. He was professional, double checked his work was exactly on time for the service call. Many thanks to Reliant Air Conditioning including the call taker to get this serviced ASAP same day.

This company has saved me over $15,000 over the last 4 years. I had A#1 air come out in 2020 and they told my wife we needed a new system ($13 - $15,000). I told my wife to wait and letβs get a second opinion. Reliant came out and changed the blower motor fan for $754 and it has been working fine since. Itβs now 2024 and we finally had another issue, called Reliant again, and Peter came out and fixed the problem quickly and explained step by step what I can do to avoid more costly issues in the future. Great technician, Great company!
Wouldnt recommend. We had them service our AC unit and were supposed to clear a clog. They didnt do it correctly and clog wasnt cleared. We found out a week and a half later while our house was showing. When we called to get them to fix it, they said it wasnt their fault and it would be another $300 to fix it completely. This is on top of their horrible customer service that doesnt call you back to schedule a tech and just sends one without arranging with you. And if you dont make it work the next available is over a month out. Company has seriously gone down hill. We wont use again.
After years of the maintaining my system it looked like this. Reliant re-leveled my system, other maintenance, and would came out to do twice a year tune ups but some how when my motor went out the warranty company did not cover it because of the build up on the wires around the motor were not cleaned, which is what Reliant was supposed to be doing. In the end I had to pay Reliant additional money (~$600) to replace a part they were supposed to be cleaning anyway. They gave me a partial discount since they were not doing what they should have been doing with the Hero club tune ups. I am also having issues with getting a refund on my Hero club fees that I asked them to cancel last year. Instead they keep sending me links to schedule a tune up appointment. PS Reliant installed this system in this new house when I first brought it, so I thought it would be okay that they maintain it but I guess I was wrong.

I have a Bosch unit. June in Texas it stopped working. Reliant sent John. The technician was very pleasant, confirmed the warranty, and ordered the parts. The manufacturer did not have the parts and they had to out source them. They were able to replace the blower motor but couldnβt find the hood fan ( they are not sold independent of one another) So we were up and running, waiting for the hood to come in. Today (months later) they had found the parts, came and installed them. I am pleased that they remembered, came back and finished the job. I was also pleased to have the same tech because I already met him and trusted him. Thanks Reliant for being reliable!

Collin Scarborough came to do a Fall tune-up for my system. He was very detailed and explain everything he did. He made some minor adjustments to ensure the system was working properly. I had an unrelated issue with my air conditioning drain line and he was nice enough to go ahead and make some minor repairs to that as well. Its hard to find someone to go above and beyond and do more than theyre required to do but he did and I greatly appreciate it!
Introduced himself before arriving and when he arrived, explained in detail what service he would provide and the cost, throughout his time at our house he gave updates and the A/C-Heating conditions, when he was completed his examination of our system he gave us some helpful tips and information on how we could clean the air by adding a scrubbing system and the costs involved, this was a helpful resource and we may go ahead with his recommendations.

The receptionist/scheduler was friendly and helpful. The schedule was realistic rather than optimistic and they met it. I got an βon the wayβ call with a picture of the tech and a map tracking their arrival. The tech was very respectful and nicely explained what steps I could take to resolve and avoid the problem. Abel the Reliant tech was efficient and diagnosed our heating issue quickly. As with all the people at Reliant Ive worked with, he was professional and didnt try to upsell us on something not needed.
Our hvac unit was making unusual buzzing noises. Michael analyzed what was wrong and performed cleaning and initial repairs. He ordered a part for it and set up the rest of the system to operate safely and sufficiently until final repair can be made when part comes in. He explained in detail what was going on with the hvac system.
We received the visit of Eddie Wilkerson to check and provide maintenance service for the two AC units of our office. He was AMAZING by explaining us the process. He took videos and pictures to show us the work he had to do. He worked very hard and answered all of our questions. He was very kind and highly professional. This visit was exceptional. Eddie was very professional and knowledgeable. After a weed eating accident, our air conditioning unit was no longer in service in the Texas summer heat. I called Reliant and was extremely happy to hear that they could get us on the schedule the next day (Sunday). The tech was here by 9AM this morning, incredibly nice, and made sure to explain the process every step of the way! As new home owners, it was comforting to hear things being explained instead of throwing a massive dollar amount at us at the end of the service. Plus the pricing was shockingly cheaper than we thought it would be! We will definitely continue to be a customer of Reliant AC going forward for all of our HVAC needs.

I got a free second opinion on a repair estimate from another company. The diagnosis was confirmed and the estimate was more than 50% less than the other company. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly.

I am currently in a situation with Reliant that has yet to be resolved. We purchased our unit in April of 2023. There is supposed to be a 10 year warranty on parts, and the Labor warranty passed after one year (which we understand and respect). However, the technician came out two times on 08/14/2024 and did not locate the reason for the A/C unit not working. He was able to reset the unit, rendering it able to work for a little while before ultimately having the unit shut down. We paid the diagnostic fee initially, but the problem was not fixed. At this time, to have another technician come out we were informed that we will have to pay another diagnostic fee. This seems a bit unfair. If the technician is unable to pinpoint the issue, then why are we financially liable for another diagnostic fee. For a company that is highly recommended, this seems wrong. Not only are we getting treated like we are not important, but the inept ability to own up to this is so frustrating. I am contemplating finding an alternative to this company to fix the issue. This is highly disappointing as a customer that has referred so many people.Update: The inept technician and overcharging was done by Reliant. A dear friend of mine came over and found out that the initial installation in 2023 was faulty. We had to rewire the unit and change the thermostat. Reliant needs to either do a better job vetting their employees, or you can just reach out to me and I will give you a guy that is 100% trustworthy and reasonably priced.
Reliant came to look at my clogged AC drain. Instead of βblowing outβ the lines, Luke took the time to see why it was not draining correctly. It turned out there was a piece blocking the drain. He spent the time to look for the actual problem, whereas other companies just charged us to blow the line, with little results. They managed to highlight the lack of professionalism with other companies we have done business with over the years.
Iβm so pleased with Reliant! They were honest and direct. My ac units needed to be replaced during one of the hottest days of the summer. I got the run around with 2 other companies regarding pricing. Iβm glad I called Reliant. Chandler assured me that I would be in good hands. Chrissie arrived the next day and didnβt rush me. She gave me upfront pricing and discussed options better than my credit union. I was surprised. She provided me with all the information I needed to make my decision without feeling pressured. The installation crew (Gerardo) came out the very next morning . They were professional and quick. In no time my home was back to a comfortable temperature. I would definitely recommend Reliant and will use them in the future.

Iβm giving 3 stars as an average between the technicianβs service (5 stars), and the office (1 star). I get great work from my technician, however, the office staff is rude, uncaring, and impersonal. It is impossible to speak with anyone there other than the receptionist. Requests for call backs are ignored.

I feel like Iβm running in circles. I am a disabled senior citizen and I called reliant on August 12, 2024 at around 12 PM because my air conditioner quit cooling. I explained to the lady I have a service agreement where reliant comes out two times a year to service my unit. Receptionist put us on the schedule for later that day. Tech Morales came out and said that a circuit board had been going bad for quite some time and needed to be replaced. Tech Morales did not have the parts so they got ordered, but they wouldnβt be in until the next day . Another tech came by the next morning, August 13, 2024, and replace the part and said everything should be fine. Well we thought it would be fine and it cooled throughout the day but then quit working again on August 13, 2024, sometime in the middle of the night. we called reliant at 2:30 in the morning to make them aware that the system shut off completely. I didnβt wanna pay overtime amounts for them to come out so I told them to please have somebody out there first thing in the morning to look at my system since I had spent so much money to replace the parts. Well come to find out at 8 AM when I called the office on August 14, 2024, no one was aware that I had any issues whatsoever. I tried to get somebody out here this morning. I am 75 years old and and cannot be in the heat due to health reasons. I am completely disabled and it is difficult to get around. They informed me at the office, but I am on the schedule between 11 A.m. and 2 PM today August 14, 2024. I waited for a tech and tried to call them around 11:30 to see if somebody was on their way and I got told that the new timeframe for somebody to come out is between 3 PM and 5 PM today. I have reached out to manager Richard and have gotten no help. In fact, we have been told that Richard is the only one that we could talk to that there was no one above him and this last time I tried to call manager Richard he was too busy to take my call . It is now 12:34 PM on August 14, 2024 and I still have not heard from Richard. I pay lots of money to have a service agreement with this company and If am not more important than that then I need to take my business elsewhere . I was referred to this company because it has an outstanding customer service record and they are full of integrity. I am not seeing the outstanding customer service here.Update:I got a call from manager. Richard basically telling me that they handle all of their customers the same he basically said that they have only so many techs And so much time in a day to help out all the customers that need help. So basically what I heard from manager Richard is that he does not have enough help for all of His current customers. While on the phone with manager, Richard, we finally received a text saying that somebody was on their way out to take a look at the unit once again. The tech was able to find yet another issue with the unit outside. They mentioned they can order the part wait for it to come in and then they could come out and install. Charge $185 to purchase the part. During this time while the tech was assessing the issue we were asking questions of the tech so we could figure out where we go from here. The tech was on the phone most of the time and was extremely evasive. We felt like we Were left in the dark. We even asked the tech why he didnβt catch this issue. The first time he was out. He got frustrated and kick some rocks that were nearby In the yard Then went to his van. We were never told when they would return only that they would. The tech basically said they would try to expedite, but they couldnβt promise anything.It looks like I will have to start a new post.

Hal with Reliant was excellent and was very knowledgeable. We had an AC drain clog, and he was able to fix it quickly without any issues or water damage. He also was very helpful explaining the details of how the primary and secondary drain lines were configured. He seemed very trustworthy and didnβt make it out more than it was. Highly recommend him!

Our AC quit with the daily 100+ degree temp on a Saturday. Called the company we have used for 4-5 years and they came out and pronounced the 21-year-old unit dead. So, we needed a condenser/compressor and the replacement of the coil assembly inside the interior unit. They said we would have to wait a week for the βinstaller teamβ to do the repairs. They were scheduled to come on a Friday. The week passed with no confirmation or update from them. I called them Friday AM and got they didnβt know when the team would arrive. Make a long story short they couldnβt make it that day and said we would have to wait till the following Wednesday. Another 5 days with no AC and 100-degree temps in the forecast. My wife has a friend (realtor)at an exercise class that had recommended an AC company, Reliant she has recommended in the past. So, we called John Friday early evening and he came out right then and there. He looked things over and said they could get a crew and the parts out the next day, Saturday. Darned if they didnβt show at 9:30 the next morning and begin the work. Gaberial the lead got things rolling and after a number of hours got the systems rebuild and the cold air flowed! Gabriel & company performed the install an got it done. John the rep from Reliant got things set up and we had the repairs in a day vs the 10 or so days the company we had used for 4-5 years, and for a comparable price. Needless to say, we are sticking with Reliant. Thanks Reliant!!
I have been using Reliant for a long time. They installed our new systems about six years ago and have had no issues. They service them twice a year.

We made appointment online. We had choices of times. I selected 6pm-10pm. The service guy showed up at our house at 4pm. My wife spoke with the office and they told us there were no times assigned and that their website does not say that. So maybe the people that work in the office need to be familiar with the website because it does give you a time frame. It does not make any statement to the fact that they can come anytime. I have attached a snap shop of what is in their website. Service guy was awesome. I will continue to use them. I just wanted to make them aware of their website.
Unfortunately I had a bad experience. I called reliant because Ive heard their adds on the Ticket sports radio show for years. I decided to have them come out and do a spring clean and maintenance, along with air balance. Our window for the appointment was between 8am to 8pm. Finally at 7pm they showed up. The tech said he checked everything out and visually everything looked good and checked out. The air balance was pretty low tech process. He opened a damper to one room and closed a damper to the other room. I could have done that myself in 10 minutes and not spent $180 for that service. I thought there was more to it. Ive had other companies do this service at my last house and they spent over an hour adjusting the balance. Moving on, one week after the spring maintenance service was performed one of our units stopped cooling. I called Reliant back out and another tech discovered my coils were rusted out from a leak. He showed pictures and I asked how did the last guy who visually checked out everything a week before miss that needed repair. No answer to that, but he did get permission to waive the second fee after speaking a while with his manager. So time for a new coil. Ive had coils replaced in the past at my previous home. The other company I used back then went and got the coil that day and repaired the unit. Not how Reliant works. They ordered the coil and a week later got the part. I called to set up the appointment and they scheduled it out another 5 days. I reminded them my AC had been down already for a week plus, and could we please have the part installed sooner. Their response, were to busy and this is the best we can do. So it took a little more than two weeks to replace the coil. Last of all I asked the tech who replaced the coil how do I know for sure my other units coils are okay since I dont really trust the tech who inspected and missed the first bad coil. He called the office and they said I could pay another $100 to have the units RE-checked. Not impressed with this company at all. Move on to another...

Scheduled an appointment and was told it would be in the am. When I called the day of I was told an ETA of 11am-12pm which did not occur then moved to 3pm and did not occur. Overall Reliant is not very reliant.
Air conditioner went out this morning. And I placed call surprisingly given the weather. I was able to get same day service, but Stephen. The technician showed up was able to diagnose and repair the problem in less than 20 minutes. Very happy with the level of service I received and will continue to use them in the future.

Weve been satisfied customers of Reliants HVAC maintenance plan for a while now. Our units were getting old and starting to leak, so we had them replaced. We worked with Allen who went above and beyond for us. Every step of the way he was helpful and patient and did everything in his power to make sure we were happy.I am super happy with our new units, the quality and attention to detail of the install, and the kindness and professionalism of every single Reliant employee Ive encountered. The thing I love most about them is how upfront and low-pressure they are in equipping you with the information you need to make the best decision for yourself and your home.
Iβm familiar with the cost of a dual capacitor, around $50 - $$60. I was charged $300 for a βturboβ capacitor. Service was good, but bull is bull. Due to 100 degree heat, I didnβt have the stamina to argue. But Iβll probably go back to them in time of need, but Iβll be more careful next time. Nice people but watch the pricing.

Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their company incorrectly installed the drain pan in my home. A few months after the warranty expired and water was leaking through my ceiling I call them to repair. Their technician told me it was installed incorrectly. They order the parts. Takes 3 weeks so I call them to check on it. I was told it was back ordered and would be a few more days. Iβm confident they forgot and ordered at that moment. 5 days later they send me a bill for the upcoming work for 900 dollars. I reminded them that their company incorrectly installed the drain pan and they disagreed at that point and stood firm. They offered me a 20% discount. I refused. Iβve never seen a company offer such horrible service. Iβd pay double the price to use any other company out there.
To be fair Reliant has done well for me in the past. This time I had a leak which they fixed. I wish didnβt as it cost me about 1,800 of R22 . They previously replaced condenser with a unit that could also take 410. The option of replacing the compressor with a new 410 unit wasnt offered. For a little more money I would have done that as that would have been the better option. I had them price me out new systems later and asked if they could reclaim the R22 and buy a 410 unit. Said they could not do that. Cant afford to pay for a 1800 repair and buy a 410 unit.9/3 I reached out a couple weeks ago and explained it all to Richard and thatβs where it ended. Have not heard a thing. Not chasing this anymore , taking my business elsewhere.

I have been dealing with air conditioning issues for about two years now. I had always relied on Tempo Heating and Air, with a service contract that ensured they came out every three months to change filters and inspect the units. Despite this, one of our units developed a leak in the attic, causing water buildup and rust, which they never mentioned. Ive been relying on Reliant for years. They are friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. This kind of job isnt cheap, but theyre always straight forward about my options. They were out again this morning after my compressor quit coming on. Shawn, the tech, was professional, friendly, and very quick to diagnose the issue. Thankfully, the part was under warranty and was replaced and cold air was blowing again within an hour of his arrival. Of course, every issue is unique and may take more time and money to remedy (trust me, Ive been there), but I always feel like Reliant is fair and thorough at the end of any job they do for me. I highly recommend them.
Reliant gave me a good quote on a great Carrier system. They arrived on time to install and although it took longer than expected, things went well.Its the after-care that Im not happy with at all. When I scheduled the appointment, I was told that Id get a call the day before with a window of time. Unfortunately, not only did I not receive that call, the actual service requested was canceled just before noon! Who has that kind of time to wait around?To make matters worse, when I asked to speak with a supervisor, his story changed. First he said, we dont do that kind of service (which was on the thermostat-- a service that was offered to me on day of installation but because they ran so late on the install I told him Id do it later). Then he admitted that they are short on people and my thermostat wasnt a priority. So it appears that they looked at my job and decided to cancel me mid-day rather than reschedule. I must admit, after spending $18,000 on their system, I wasnt expecting this level of poor service. I sure wont be investing in their Hero program. There are lots of other good AC maintenance people out there.

I as a small business owner I do not like leaving bad reviews for a business but I have no choice but to leave one for this company. I chose reliant to replace our AC system because they were supposed reliable with amazing customer service and that was true at first until we had our first warranty repair. At exactly year two after purchase our upstairs unit stopped cooling. They werenβt going to be able to get anyone out for a couple of days to look at it, (mind you this is summer time). After much arguing they somehow managed to find the time to check it out. He came out and checked everything and finally decided there was a leak in my coil so it would have to be replaced. A leaky coil on my new system. My 20yo system never needed the coil replaced but here we are having to replace the coil but even worse it was going to 4 day before they could replace it. Finally they came out to replace the coil and again two more techs came out and checked everything and spent two hours replacing the unit. They gave us the bill and it was some ridiculous amount. Apparently they even profit on their warranty repairs. After two years the warranty only cover parts not labor and thatβs fine but they wouldnβt tell me what the labor cost was. I told them from the start that I wasnβt going to pay for the Freon because after two years I shouldnβt be having to have it filled. They said that they werenβt going pay for it because it wasnβt a part to which I replied if itβs not a part what is it. Two days later the air stops cooling again. 4th of July. They come out again and completely checked everything and said that it was just a dirty outside unit. He cleans it off and goes on his way and again itβs not cooling. They come back out and check every and guess what. There is a leak on the very first thing that each of the technicians checked. Amazing how they all missed it but I get to pay for a coil replacement. Finally got it up and running and again we argue over the Freon which I refuse to pay for. They are trying to have me pay almost $1000 for two hours of labor and are threatening to send me to collections. Iβve had two other AC companies come out to look and have spoken to my attorney about the situation. If they canβt come up with a more reasonable labor charge I guess we will just have to go to court. The other ac guys say thatβs just how reliant does business. I just find it hard to believe that they still want to profit off of their incompetence
After I posted the below review, one of the supervisors reached out to me. He informed me that there was a clerical error and the issue had been corrected. A technician was sent to my house today and the issue has been addressed.They are turning out to be like many other companies. Their sales person, Craig, agreed to a 5 year labor warranty when they installed 2 full HVAC systems. Now theyre saying that they only offer a 1 year labor warranty. Im extremely dissatisfied with this lack of accountability. I called Craig at least twice, but he didnt answer my call. He was probably busy. However, his voicemail box was full, and I couldnt leave a message. I sent him text messages but havent heard back.Their slogan, gimmick free since 83, seems to be turning out to be a scam.
I have used a few AC guys over the years. Its never a fun thing. I have heard it all. I have 3 small units over 20 years old. I see a lot of AC guys. For the first time I used Reliant and it was the best experience by far. I would rather pay a higher service call fee and hear the truth. I felt that I got that today. The tech had been with the company 14 years. That speaks volumes on how the company is managed to me. I will use them again. I will at least get a quote for a new unit from them as well. Very impressed.
Francisco was on time, very polite and professional. He found the problem right away and gave me options and recommendations without being pushy or acting as a sales person which has happened with other companies in the past. I would definitely recommend giving Reliant a call.

I had a tech come out to check my 1999 A Frame coil and after sending some pictures to a tech or techs they said that they could not work on my AC. Then charged me $99 service fee. What a rip-off. Th tech who came out was really professional, but could not give me a reason why Reliant refused to work on my AC. I will never ever use this company again. Got a call from the Reliant AC Manager/Owner and refunded my $99 due to Reliant not able to work on Manufactured homes. Thanks for Good Will. This heat is hard on all of us, equipment and people and animals.

Technician came on same day, diagnosed and found the issue, he said that the part will be available in couple of days but he will try to get it sooner. Very next day I got a call that part is available and they can come and fix it, so within 24 hours my AC issue got fixed π
Loved working with them for a long time. Had an unfriendly and uncooperative tech come out, so I reached out and let them know. I hoped it was a one time thing, but they sent the same tech who didnt even seem to do anything this time. Breezed in and out. Maintenance plan was no longer worth it. Five or more year relationship done.
I rarely leave reviews, but I am very happy with Reliant . Stephen was quick for the assessment and Bo was clear on repairs. Gerardo and Nector were very kind , neat, and responsible with the AC replacement. I am very happy with my experience.
We had a new inside and outside air conditioner unit installed less than a year ago. We have had to have them come out once because the system stopped working. The technicians who installed the units had overfilled the unit outside and the person who came out had to drain it. We change our filters monthly and when we opened the closet a week ago, the door and walls were covered in mold. A technician came out and said that the closet didnt have enough ventilation and that there is too much humidity. He said they are not responsible for that and we would have to drill a hole in the door and install a register. It seems like they should have realized this whenever they installed the unit.UPDATE: Technician came out after review and added ventilation to the closet and it took care of the issue.
Peter was very knowledgable, gave us lots of options and information, and (above all) was honest about what may or may not fix our temperatures issues. It felt good to know we werent being sold.

Continuation from previous post:August 15, 2024-spoke to Helma this morning at Reliant. I was looking for a time when the tech would be out to install the new $185 part I had just purchased. Helma told me that I was not on the schedule today that they would be going to pick up the part later today and that they would not be available to put it in for me this evening. So we are going to have to wait another day in order to have the air conditioner fixed, I asked Helma if they were open 24 hours because she mentioned that by the time they got the part, it would be too late to install today. Helma said they are not available 24 x 7 like their website says for air condition repairs. I remind you that this is for a 75-year-old disabled veteran. Air Conditioning has been out since Monday and it is August in Texas. I am curious as to why the website says theyβre open 24 hours a day for Air Conditioning repairs and they cannot seem to get air conditioning fixed. so per my previous post I donβt guess we warrant an expeditious fix.Continuing from last post: After my last post, reliant got tech Brian to come right out to fix issue. Tech Brian was very good and communicated with us. Brian fixed and said we should not have anymore issues. Thursday August 16th at 12 midnight the system shut down again. We are done with Reliant! Next morning I start calling around for A company that can get air turned on in this house permanently. Long story short I got a reputable company to come out. Tell me what the problem was and do the work. All I needed to be told was that the Air conditioning system that we had was shot and needed to be replaced. Instead, we were told we needed all of these parts and had to spend money we didnβt have and it never fix the problem. Reliant you have a communication problem. and in talking to other companies, you should be triaging your calls according to priority. One customer that has a service agreement is not necessarily as important as another. I put this complaint out there because I feel itβs important that other consumers understand what they are getting when you deal with Reliant. thank you, Armstrong and English family.
Just had a new system installed. Rip and Replace so it took all day, which is fine. Sales person Allen was great, helpful, courteous, and informative. Install guys came next day and installed my system. When they left I turned on A/C to cool the house off and now leaking water everywhere, so had to call in a repair the very same day as the install. Ruined air filter, water on hardwood floors, total mess.Please do a better job installing.

Reliant has served us for 31 years. We have always been happy with their work! The tech today, Shawn, was very thorough and serviced our two units expeditiously. He detected a possible gas safety issue with an older unit, sent photos to his team to review, and they all determined that there was not a safety issue!! Great job of working the issue instead of automatically recommending that the unit be replaced!! We are very appreciative of Reliants safety and customer care focus!!

This was our first encounter with Reliant, but definitely wonβt be our last. Lapolina (sp) was so very professional and honest. We will hopefully get him as our tech in the future. He saved us a lot of money with his honesty and although they didnβt need to do any work on our system, we will be using them when the time comes.
I woke up to my 19 year unit not cooling on a Sunday morning. I was thankfully able to get in touch with Reliant who was able to get me on their schedule that same day. Jimmy came out and quickly diagnosed the problem without a high pressure sales pitch and made suggestions on how I could extend the life of my compressor. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I will definitely use them again!

Less than year ago I bought a brand new system from this company and have had to call for service 2x for the same issue: A/C not cooling. On visit number I was told the condenser coil was bad. Brand new unit. I was also told by the tech βthe guy who installed it shouldnβt have done it that way.β This was just a couple of months ago. Today, I find myself calling them again because the air isnβt cooling the space. Not trying to be tacky, but what they sold me (the salesperson said this was the best unit) IS NOT RELIANT.
Quoted me $18,000 and weβre only here for 5 minutes then changed me $100. Issue was a simple fix I got done for $500
We have always been impressed with Reliant. We had two ac units and 3 furnaces installed almost 3 years ago. Sales process was great. The maintenance plan makes it easy to remember to schedule twice a year tuneups. Highly recommend Reliant.
Reliant has always been good to us for our maintenance. Henry was our latest tech who explained what they saw and offered a solution. Was not pushy about things either. He explained the situation and how to remediate and offered to do so at what was a reasonable price. I did check online to see what the service should run. Not bad after several years in the house.
Eric Estrada our air tech was great. He answered all our questions. We are definitely a customer for life. This is the best AC company to use .
Luke was really great. Very personable and educated us on how we can keep up with our air conditioning for years to some. He took his time servicing our units and we really appreciate the job he did. Reliant has always taken care of us.
I am very disappointed in Reliant. I paid over $20K to replace 2 heat pumps and fan coil systems less in September 2020. We purposely went with the top of the line Infinity for our downstairs unit and went with their recommendation for our upstairs system.In April of this year the Infinity system stopped cooling. The result was a faulty value that leaked over 7 pounds of refrigerant. While the warranty covered the part, I ended up paying $1700 for the labo and refrigerant.In June of this year the other system quit cooling. The initial technician, stated that there were 2 parts that had to be replaced and gave me the option of replacing with either US made parts of Chinese parts which were what had broken. After paying $775 in labor the tech said we were all good and that our upstairs should cool down within an hour. 45 minutes later I check and the system was NOT fixed and was blowing 93 degree air. After calling Reliant again to complain they sent out another technician who stated our compressor was bad and wanted another $1775 for the labor to fix it.So in less than 4 years I spent $20K to replace 2 systems and 20% of the purchase price repairing them. I requested a call from the supervisor and was told he would contact me in 24 to 48 hours, but that was over a week ago and no one has called.I ultimately went with another company to complete the repair only to find out that in their opinion my upstairs system is considered βbuilderβsβ grade and that in their opinion Reliant cut all the corners they could on the fan coil system on my high end system.Extremely disappointed. I have paid more to repair these two systems that I didnβt for my 15 year old system that was replaced. While I donβt hold Reliant responsible for the quality of the Carrier system itself, I am unhappy with their follow up and lack of ensuring the 2nd system was working before the technician left
For years I had tried to keep an old system going. This week it died. Dealing with reliant has been great and the workmanship also. Great job on install.

Reliant Energy did a wonderful job coming to our house so quickly when our A/C unit was starting to act up. Jorge spent 12 hours installing our new Heating and Air system. A nice Lennox system that is cooling our house like never before. They were very thorough rerouting duct work and calibrating the air flow. So happy I called Reliant.

This company is a FRAUD and I am in the process of taking them to court. They sold us 2 brand new units 2 year ago with 10year warranty promise, they were so responsive and pleasant until we paid them. Two years later one of the units broke and they made us wait for a week in 100 degree weather since we are not their priority anymore, they are too busy trapping new customers. One week later they came and pretended to repair, yet nothing was fixed and still is broken 2 weeks later. Absolutely incompetent technicians and terrible rude customer service until you buy from them. Now they refuse to complete the repair and want us to pay $1200 for Freon that was lost due to the faulty unit that they installed. Please, stay away from them, donβt make the same mistake I did. Even in the warranty work they will take advantage of you. And you βUN- RELIANT β β¦. Get ready to be served!

Our AC went out right at the peek of the heat on July 3rd! Our AC rep came listen to my concern and offered his assistance. He was great and the reason for the 4 start but the part wasnβt and still not available and he was able to make it manageable till the part arrives. I was upset that how hot it is that Reliant donβt stock parts especially during these hot summer months when you know units work harder to keep cool. Stay tuned because the parts are still not available!!!
Reliant replaced my 27 year old system this week and Iβm most pleased in the service I was given by Rigoberto Ventura and his co worker (wished I knew his name to give him a shout out as well). Both were very professional and prepared for this install.Reliant provided a great price and service and would recommend them to anyone looking for ac and heat services.
Reliant is true to their word. David came out today when my ac went out. It was the compressor and he replaced it. He was in and out in 45 minutes. I will definitely use Reliant again.
I used Reliant for the first time because my original installer no longer services my area. Collin came out on a Saturday and diagnosed the issue for $99. Fortunately my part is covered under the manufacturer warranty. Labor price to install of the new part is fair and reasonable.

I will try to make this short. My ac unit was not turning on so I called reliant since I keep hearing about how they are gimmick free since 83 and they will never try to sell me anything I donβt need, like a new unit.Well the tech that came out ONLY evaluated the unit outside and said I had a leak and to find it would be $700 dollars and if I wanted to add freon it would be over $900 but it would last obviously cause of the leak he knew I had. Itβs Motherβs Day weekend coming up and I said I couldnβt spend that much just to throw away. He said βitβs timeβ and Iβm like time for what!? He said β itβs time for a new unitβ and I said really!? Absolutely was his response. Then he charged me $99 for this service which he wasnβt even thorough about.I called my friend who is an ac tech and I didnβt want to bother him because of Motherβs Day weekend and he said no worries and that he would come see what this tech checked.When my friend arrived, he did confirm that the line was frozen and the Freon was low but he always checked the unit up in the attic and said that my blower motor was out and that is why the line is frozen and causing a false pressure reading.He confirmed it by checking the circuit board and sure enough there was power to the motor but the motor was not operating. He replaced it and now I have AC. Itβs a good thing I have a friend who helped out and saves me thousands of dollars because I was ready to pull the trigger and get a new unit.I called the company and told them the whole story about how their tech either had not enough experience or he didnβt want to go up in the attic and I wanted my $99 refunded. I have yet to get a call back like they said they would and I would get my refund but have not received that either. I guess itβs worth $99 to know not to use them ever again and to share my experience with this company that I really did trust at first.Oh and the motor, which is an original part was $775 and my friend charged me $200 for labor. Great price with no markup on the motor.
Best repair experience ever. Put in a ticket online at 4:00pm. The system was fixed and running by 5:30pm. Outstanding service.
Shawn was excellent and we used Reliant before. They have a solid maintenance agreement and arrive ready to work. Very professional. Nice people, too. Shawn is highly experienced and diagnosed a difficult and hard to find HVAC system problem. They scheduled us and got us in immediately. 11 out of 10 - would use them again.
