I will not use any other company for my A.C., Heater or Plumbing needs. They were amazing in 2022 with our AC and Furnace install and I used them, for the first time, for a faulty connection issue with our washer for plumbing. Tom Greer was fantastic and gave me a lot of fantastic tips about water heater maintenance that was completely unrelated to what he was there for. Great company.

Once again, Honest has provided excellent customer service. They were able to send their technicians over the same day and Lucas took his time diagnosing my issue and explaining what was being done and why. The appointment never felt rushed, and Lucas was careful working in and around the house, courteous, and professional. His level of experience showed and reassured my confidence in the company and the products they offer. I highly recommend their a/c services.

Very good, so far. Consultation prior to purchase was very comfortable. Bid options were competitive. Questions during the week prior to purchase were answered promptly. Good Mgr discounts offered. Install guys arrived a little later than expected, but still within the arrival window. System seems to heat and cool well so far. Looking forward to semi-annual check up in the summer.

My dryer was being wonky and popping the circuit breaker on one particular cycle. I set up an appointment through my tenant portal (were renting) and they were here within a week or so.The electrician was super nice and friendly. He explained what might have been the problem in a way that was easy for me to understand.Great experience!

Dominique was a FANTSTIC representative and was able to do all that was requested and more! I like to know exactly what is being done and he took the time to explain everything he was also able to give me tiered estimates so that I would understand what my options were in terms of my ultimate purchases and services I highly recommend the company

An unfortunate, poor experience with Honest. I requested a repair appointment. I have an older furnace that was working great but shutting off intermittently. I explained by phone that I was actively trying to repair the unit and could Honest assist with the troubleshooting. The tech that arrived however did not do any serious repair diagnosis. Instead his focus was 100% on the sale of a new HVAC system. The kicker was when he said that parts for this old furnace are either not easily available or prohibitively expensive. Neither of those things are true..everything can still be had online at decent prices. There was no charge for this service call so that is the reason this isnt a one star review. Granted the age of the furnace does call for replacement soon, but I requested a service call not a sales call.I was polite and was very happy to get this person off my property as soon as possible so I could continue to fix my furnace. As stated, the furnace worked perfectly but was then shutting off at times. There had to be an explanation. I then called another company (McCullough) to come out and had an excellent experience with their tech. He diagnosed and repaired my furnace. It was actually a fairly simple fix and I feel any professional who really put their mind to it would have also come up with it.When it is time to fully replace my HVAC, McCullough earned the right to be my first call. Their tech also discussed the need to replace my aging system soon but he did so AFTER repairing my furnace and in a way that didnt insult my intelligence.

Excellent service. Called mid day on the weekend for a leaky outside faucet. They were able to get me an appointment between 4-8:00 pm. They called back shortly and asked if it would be okay if they came early!! Of course!! Work was done in less than half hour at what I feel was a very fair price!! No emergency charges. So glad to have a plumber to be able to count on!!

This place is awesome. They really helped us out. Had a water leak overnight and Honest Plumbing and Air took my call in the morning and Dominic was here within 30 minutes. He was able to isolate the issue and resolve it quickly. He also took a look at our water heater and provided maintenance for that too.Overall great experience from call to resolution. Would like to give a special shout out to Dominic. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and super nice. He walked me through everything being done and provide information and suggestions of things I could do moving forward with no pressure to spend money. Dominic was awesome and probably deserves Six stars.

Honest air conditioning came out to install a heater fan motor that we ordered. Daniel was our tech. He worked for about an hour and realized we ordered wrong part. He didnt charge us anything for his time. They have the name Honest for a reason. I will use them again for sure. Thanks for making my day

Actual customer in November 2024.I received the best customer service I’ve had in years through Honest Plumbing. From the intake, to Dominic’s outstanding service. He went over and beyond with his work, answering questions, and providing feedback. I will absolutely recommend this company to anyone with a plumbing need.

These guys are meticulous and do excellent work. They focus on doing things the right way. I hired them to fix a complex shower install without removing the tile work. It was a total team effort to think through a solution and get it resolved. I’d trust them with all my plumbing needs.

They replaced my heat pump fan today. I looked up the part and it cost $200-$300 online. They charged me over $900 for the part and 2 hours or less labor. I really am wondering how honest is Honest. It seems they just let their tech roll off any price he can get, maybe he gets a commission, not sure. Anyway I will really compare with other companies before I choose them again. I do like their quick and efficient service, but $300 an hour for labor is just unacceptable. Be sure to inquire about labor per hour, I am very dissatisfied.

Very friendly gentleman, gave a bunch of heads up before arrival. He discovered many issues with the system and took over 100 photos proving the readings he had made along with manufacturer’s guidance values. He explained our situation clearly, and gave some great options to get our situation solved quickly. Will update based on completed work.

Called them for a tankless water heater repair (it had a very slow leak, but enough to do some damage on 2 floors). They came out, decided they needed a part and replaced it the following day. After 5 days of drying (from a separate water mitigation company), the drying company informed me that there was still an active leak. So great, it still leaking exactly as it was and now Ive got 5 more days of water damage (and several more days of mitigation, which not cheap). I looked and could see that there was water inside the tankless heater chassis, and I could see corrosion on the circulation pump (so it was likely that was the cause, but Im not the one who is supposed to be a pro here...). At that point, having lost all faith in honest plumbings ability to fix a problem, I called another local plumber (that was certified with Navien -- honest is NOT). In the end we replaced the tankless heater (from 2011). I asked honest plumbing for a partial refund (I was wiling to pay for the part, but should not have to pay for labor for a mis-diagnosed part installation). They charged me $680 to install a $60 part (yes I looked it up). They would only refund me for a de-scale maintenance they also did ($333), which obviously was useless now that I replaced the old water heater. Im giving 2 stars only because they did give me a small refund (but less than I asked for). Obviously I will NEVER call honest plumbing again and would 100% NOT recommend them to anyone. The only thing honest is apparently just in the name only.

Marcus was great ask for him. Unfortunately can’t say the same thing about their earlier guys and the work jobs they did. I’ve used only this company since a few years and spent a lot of money on 2 new home units they installed. I Even have an annual plan. But some of the initial install work done was sloppy ( duct tears due to it being unsupported and an attic door that was only partially functioning and pointed out by two techs that came earlier, but never fixed, only acted on by Marcus. For the duct tear, apparently the system warranty doesn’t extend to it and I had to spend an extra $500 have them reseal the tear, even though you’d expect one to do good job of setting the ducts when paying for 2 brand new systems. Pros are that they have nice and polite schedulers and they are also prompt in replying.

I had a good plumbing experience with Honest. Unfortunately, I had an overall terrible experience with getting a new HVAC installed with Honest. The quote was competitive but right after installation, there was a leak because they didn’t weld something completely. When I called to get it fixed, they told me they couldn’t come out for 3 more DAYS when it was 100+ degrees outside. I had just paid almost $10K for a new system that they didn’t install correctly, and I had to wait even longer for a fix that should have been immediately remedied.After this, I tried to get the Austin Energy rebate and the office stated that they would fill out all the documentation needed for this. At first I was emailing back and forth and things were going smoothly, but then when I followed up to see what any status was or what I needed to do, I was never replied to. I’ve called the office and was told to forward the email to the office, but also had gotten no response since. Please BEWARE if you are going to Honest for your HVAC rebate because it may never happen!

We had such a good experience with Honest Plumbing and Air! They sent over Fabian V. and he went above and beyond for us during his visit. This company is our go-to for all things HVAC and plumbing related!

I always appreciate how thorough The technicians are from Honest. They take pictures of every component they inspect and then explain in detail what areas need attention. Himie is the technician that came out most recently and he was exceptionally good at explaining the condition of our system and what areas need attention. His 22 years of experience was quite evident, and that also helps customers like us feel confident that we are in good hands.

Our A/C was having trouble running. Honest installed our unit a few years ago so we called them to see if they could get it working again. They came out the same day. Our tech, Jaime checked everything out and got it working super quick.Honest is our go to for HVAC and plumbing work. Theyre always helpful and willing to explain what theyve encountered. Great honest service!! First company wasted over $1,000 of my dollars and didn’t fix the problem. The problem was low hot water pressure! Honest plumbing was top notch! I definitely would recommend them.

Recently my water heater started to give out. I immediately thought of Honest Air and Plumbing. Tom was my technician and was amazing. He explained all I needed to know. This weekend was a scorcher as are most in Texas during August, and when the AC decided to stop cooling, I did the standard handyman dance of checking basics like clogged lines and filters. Nothing was working to fix the air and the wife and pets were not enjoying life.While Im handy, Im not skilled enough to diagnose a failing evap or condenser unit. I do know that much. So it was time to call a professional.Ill admit I spent far too much time on the phone trying to arrange technicians from multiple HVAC companies to come out and perform a diagnostic, with nobody available for a same-day service call. So I asked a good friend in Hutto who he uses and got a referral for Honest Plumbing & Air. Lets just say.. I owe him a big favor.Ray Smith was onsite promptly (less than two hours) and is truly a stand-up guy. His business card reads Problem Solver and lo and behold.. true to his title, he had the problem found on his first try with a faulty compressor capacitor being the culprit.A quarter hour later everything was blowing cold and, as the saying goes, happy wife, happy life.Many thanks to Honest and Ray in particular! This man saved my sanity and didnt give me any upsale or run around. Ive been using Honest AC for 2 years and I love them. Even recommended to friends. They are polite and efficient. I also appreciate seeing the photos that they take for records since I cant physically get into my attic where the AC is kept to remove debree and such.

I was lost when my ac froze, I had called another company that came out and said they would call me back with estimate, when I didnt hear from them I did some research and decided on Honest Ac & Plumbing. They came out the same day gave me estimate on spot and had my new ac installed next day. They were all polite and smiles. They explained my issues and the fix in a way I could understand. When they were done they vacuumed and left no signs of their visit. Im relieved to say I now have an ac/plumbing company that works for me. Thank you Honest family. Dominic is a wonderful young man, very polite and quite accomplished & skillful. I had a terrible leak in my water line outside. He was highly communicative and efficient.He was a delight. He fixed it in 3 hours. I was afraid that it would take much longer.

Honest lives up to their name. I had the pleasure of working with Ray Smith and he could have said anything he wanted to about our HVAC system because we were just wanting to make sure all was well. He diagnosed that it was working fine, and made some recommendations regarding insulation and other non-AC related improvements we could make. He refused to accept a penny for the hour long visit and just asked that we consider them again for a future remodel (which he told me how to design for cost savings as well). Amazing. Great people, great company!

These folks are AMAZING! We were needing to replace our A/C before it went out. Honest was highly recommended among online groups. Ray quickly came to our home and thoroughly inspected our equipment and attic. He sat with my husband and I, explained our current system’s issues (without urgency or pressure), and was so informative explaining the options available to us. Juan, Dallas, and Andy worked on installing our new system immediately and they were so friendly and such professionals. Their work was excellent and they explained everything to us in great detail. I highly recommend Honest!

I spoke to Ray and voiced my concerns about the old system that included mold that was all through the old system which was not installed properly and had failed shortly after it started to make my family sick. All the vents were wet and turning black so it was evident that the entire system was damaged. Although it was agreed on that the old system was improperly installed which included the return air intake and outdated damaged ducting I was repeatedly discouraged from having the ducts replaced and told they would not replace them during the summer months. also informed me that the attic access ladder would have to come down which they can do but they do not do installs to replace it.They were quick to get to us and installation was pretty quick with 2 crews 5 people on it from about 9:30 am till 3 pm and I was assured multiple times that a QC person was still going to come by and address all my concerns that I am still having.Called one number no callback, called the office and was told I was only scheduled for the installation no callbacks. I voiced my concerns and was told “that’s not right” but the QC person would call or come by, 2 weeks later still no callback.The mess left behind was intense even though I pointed it out before they left it. Fiberglass is everywhere and still blowing throughout the home including through most vents. We are getting sick on a daily basis, including a pet from what I can assume is from all the parts of the old system that is still installed (intake and all ducting) and even missed installing one of them! The thermostat that was replaced was of a much lower quality ducts are now blocking the only access I have to the rest of the attic storage as they were going straight up before but now are installed to the side, not suspended, left kinked, and all over the place. Some cold air is leaking from the unit into the attic around the joints.After a week of running the A/C quit cooling for about 2 days and just started cooling again yesterday morning.So after installing a new attic ladder access to replace the hole left behind. $16,000 for a partially installed 4-ton single-stage 16-seer Trane and an air purifier (sterilizing UV light) that will not remove pathogens down the line was hardly worth it. I will try to reach out to them again and see what happens.

We have been using Honest Air for about 10 yrs now and wouldn’t think of using any one else. They are reliable, get scheduled quickly, take copious notes, photos and take the time for all questions and explanations of the work., never in a rush. Ricky came to do general HVAC maintenance and found the carbon monoxide pipe was not attached to the vent pipe. It was probably dislodged from roofing work a few months ago. He quickly called for a plumber, Rebecca, who came shortly after. This is how they take care of you. She was a delight and even ran out to get a sealer for a gap open in the roof and a new carbon monoxide detector.What is impressive and says a lot about the co is how highly the crew talks about working for Honest Air, how they’re well treated and respected. You are in safe, qualified and honest hands when using Honest Air !

Tom came out and checked and flushed our water-heaters today and was the most knowledgeable, professional and nice person we have ever met! We learned so much from him as he answered all of our questions. We will definitely use Honest Plumbing again!

Hot water heater died a few weeks ago on a Friday night. Called Honest AC on Saturday morning and they sent a tech to our house same day, and FREE OF CHARGE which was a pleasant surprise on the weekend!Jon was fantastic to work with. He confirmed that the hot water heater had indeed kicked the bucket (it was 11 yrs old so no surprise there), and was able to get a new one installed that day. Jon was knowledgeable, personable, and most importantly, a skilled craftsman as evidenced by the quality of the install. He explained his approach to the install, gave me some tips on maintaining the heater long-term, and answered lots of questions along the way.Id recommend Jon and Honest AC/Plumbing to anyone. This was my first experience with them in terms of plumbing, but will not be the last. Theyve always treated us right.

Ricky Martinez gave me the longest list of all that needed done when my evaporator coils froze.6k or new condenser/ evaporator coils so I’d choose to buy a new unit, gas leakHow did he diagnose all that witha frozen evaporator coil and frozen pipes?Stan’s AC came in said no gas leak. Did the test. Ricky wanted me scared out of my mind. He actually turned off my gas.All it was after another estimate was:Unclog drainage panReplace filtersOpen ventsCost : nothingI was chocking unitWant my 99.00 back. He actually tried tosell me a new unit when mine is 6 yrs old. Said I had no 10 yr warranty either

Came out promptly, gave a competitive estimate and completed the A/C replacement. The guys worked hard and were drenched in sweat in the hot attic all day but remained professional and friendly. I would 100% recommend.

They are honest...about ripping you off. My general contractor picked these people to install a mini split two years ago. It died this summer, faulty compressor and multiple leaks. While the compressor is under warranty, they want me to pay $2k for all the labor not covered by warranty, on the poor quality product THEY recommended. They dont stand behind the products they sell or their work. You are rolling the dice with these folks.

The staff were helpful and knew their craft. They did the setup right compared to the original builder. I even called them up at 4am on a Saturday to schedule a repair. They came out early that afternoon.

Great, fast service! Bryan is the best, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for honest, best-value-for-your-money repair or installation. He was at my house within 20 minutes of calling. My AC condenser was failing, and our house got to over 90 degrees. My 79-year-old father was his main concern and didnt know who to turn to.

This review is and will be reposted multiple times and should be considered an Honest and accurate post of my experience. I will preface this post with the fact I am exercising my 1st amendment right to free speech, and please note that I am a Texas Peace Officer in good standing with the great State of Texas, and am drafting this on election night November 5th, 2024. I expect that Honest Plumbing and Air will remove this post, but I am prepared to repost as often as needed to make those aware of what they are doing to innocent people.Let me start by saying that the technician that came to my home was polite, professional, experienced, and very thorough with his assessment as to what repairs needed to be made. There was nothing in his assessment that was exaggerated or would not be useful to any HVAC customer.With that being said, the quotes I was provided were so over priced that I may seek further investigation by a State agency for price gouging.My HVAC system requires three starting capacitors, you can search these terms to understand their purpose and why they are important, and blower motor, heating coils, my system is all electric, surge protector for the condenser unit, the big thing that is outside of your home, and surge protector for the indoor heating unit. I was quoted over 5k for these items. Please understand that I believe in the technical trades and understand that companies and their employees should receive fair compensation for not only the work, but their expertise in the trade they operate in. But in my case, the starting capacitors cost is an average of about 30 dollars each, the heating coil is approximately 260.00, the blower motor, approximately 230.00, and the surgery protectors are approximately 60.00 each. I was quoted 5k for parts and installation for parts that cost less than 1k combined. Now the industry standard for job estimation is approximately three times the cost of materials. In my case, this would equate to approximately 3k. Still way too expensive in my opinion, but had i had been quoted that, it could be explained. Bottom line, if you want to overpay for any HVAC work, call Honest Plumbing and Air.I failed to mention a new air handler unit and condenser would cost approximately 7500.00 per Honest Plumbing and Air prices. Again still way too expensive and I believe its price gouging. Buyers beware. I have copied this review and am willing to repost as often as needed so the true honest and hard working Americans are not taken advantage of.Update, turns out the tech isnt very Honest after all. I went to review the numbers of the two capacitors in my condenser unit. There isnt two in the unit at all, there is only one and its a dual capacitor! I will be reporting to TDLR and filing a form complaint.

Waseem Afridi and Chris Dominguez did an awesome job replacing our 20 year old water heater. Waseem explained everything really well and they efficiently handled getting it all up to code. Very personable and enjoyable to do business with. They made a stressful incident alot easier!

I had several issues that the service representative quickly diagnosed and repaired. He was friendly, straight forward, and patient. Could not have had a better experience with Honest Plumbing and Waseem.

A very positive experience. Tech arrived on time, checked air conditioner, let us know the issue and gave estimate which we accepted and will be back tomorrow for repair, no clean up afterwards. We have used Honest Air since we moved onto our home 10 years ago and everytime has been a positiveexperience.Today, 4/16, the Techs for Honest Air came to install our new coil. Again, everything was positive. Arrived on time, nice techs, completed in a timely manner and cleaned up after. Couldnt be more pleased.Today is 11/2024 and we had our winter checkup!Tech, Danny was great, arrived on time, called ahead and did everything in a very timely manner. Thank you Honest Air. Our daughter gave us an excellent recommendation 10 years ago and we have used them for our air conditioning and furnace checkups ever since. Never disappointed us!

Matt came out to do a diagnostic and give me some possible options to look at. He was very thorough and seemed extremely knowledgeable about his craft. Within about 5-10 minutes he had figured out the problem. After looking at the breaker for the ac unit and checking the electrical currents he let me know the compressor needed to be replaced. He gave me a quote for the compressor and condenser with possible payment plans. Overall extremely happy with his professionalism, knowledge, and advice. Would recommend and will reach out again when I have another hvac issue in the future

Honest Plumbing & Air is now our go to for all things ac & plumbing! This is our first home (after my husbands military career) and we never expected an ac repair on a 6 year old home. We selected Honest because it is veteran owned and the many excellent reviews. Our technician James arrived in the expected window, listened closely to what occurred the previous evening and promptly diagnosed our problem after testing the capacitor. He called to inquire about our warranty and we learned our HVAC was never registered and thus we have no warranty. (Builder will be getting a call from me later today!) James explained that is common by builders but if Honest installs your HVAC they will register it for you. James continued his inspection once he installed the new capacitor and discovered another part was struggling. He gave us options to keep an eye on the unit or schedule replacement. No hard sell or pressure. We greatly appreciated that. In the moment I felt like I wanted the part replaced asap, but now that the anxiety in the moment has passed I am willing to hold off as my husband prefers. James is highly skilled and knowledgeable in all things HVAC. He was a pleasure to speak with and kindly taught me HVAC maintenance. I highly recommend Honest and specifically James.Update: We decided to replace the suggested part last week. I contacted the office and was scheduled the next day for the repair. James arrived in the time window and promptly got to work. Now we have peace of mind our ac wont go out during an up coming party. Great job again Honest Plumbing & AC and James!!

I was not impressed with the maintenance services that I received since the day I replaced my 2 AC units with this company. I had to explain multi times about my service agreement vs Office record is not the same. The units are not good as I expected, I kept calling the services every 3-4 months after the installation due to thermostat was shutdown and unit stooped running.I was about to give it up, but the technician, Matt, came out last week and today 8/16 give me more info than other technicians had come out for the last 1.5 years. He is actually care and provided a great service. I may give a second chance to renew my annual maintenance service

Honest has always served me well. After 8 years, our Lennox AC system had leaked in evaporator coil. Trying to minimize the cost, I ended up spending around $700 for diagnostics, refrigerant recharge, and leak search (serviced by other company). I was initially quoted by a competitor approx $400 for leak search which turned out to be a 15-minute work (with the sensing device of course).With things rapidly getting costly, I sought for another opinion and this when Honest AC came into play. They lived by their company name and was very honest all throughout the process. They told me that they have Free 2nd Opinion and immediately sent Alex who performed a quick leak search and confirmed the problem (for 100% FREE no commitment whatsoever). I had other quote from different company but I was so impressed by Alex and Honest AC and how super fast they responded to all my queries so I decided to get their service instead and pulled the trigger on Trane XR16.The same evening, Alex scheduled me to be serviced the next day (Amazing!). Later that night he called me that they were out of XR16 but the good news is they will upgrade me to XL16i for the same price. Made me smile after weeks of dealing this AC problem.The following day Jeremy knocked and told me that they are slow that day so Honest AC sent 4 more people (Fernando, Juan, Cesar, and Elian. I hope I got their names right. But thanks again guys!) to work with him on ripping and replacing our AC system. They finished the works in just around 5 hours and got our AC running great. All their works from what I can tell are pretty solid and they sound very proud of it.Upon completion, Fernando and Juan walked me through the new system at the end and answered my questions.Thanks Honest AC for honest, excellent service, very reasonbly priced and most of all very quick turnaround!I can highly recommend these folks!

We had Honest Air &.Plumbing do a check up on our A/C system before the extreme heat of the Austin summer arrived. The technician, Peter, was very thorough and explained what he did & why and then took the time needed to make sure that we understood what was done, what is needed to be done, and the different options/costs for what we might choose to use. He was not at all pushy but was very patient with me as I asked about 250 questions. This was not our first time using Honest Air and we’ve been very satisfied each time. I highly recommend this company. At least consider them for a second opinion next time you need to price a repair or other service.

Weve been using Honest for our HVAC needs for about six years, now. Theyve always been stellar with prompt communication and knowledgable technicians. We had Honest Plumbing & Air replace the entire HVAC system at our 13 year old house. Our old system was at the point where it was icing up several times per season. This started several years ago and our former service couldnt figure out why. This year, the old system just didnt seem to be cooling very well, with the SW corner bedroom upstairs getting hot every afternoon. On a friends recommendation, we called Honest and we are glad we did. They gave us several options from repair to replacement. We ultimately decided on a full replacement due to the age of the system. The work was done very efficiently and surprisingly quietly. The workers were very respectful of us working from home and our property. At the end of the job, they explained everything they did. The results are great! Temps are much more even and the system is so much quieter. Great job! Highly recommend.

This company is extremely knowledgeable. They are the second company I had come out to view my AC. The tech James was a treasure. He explained what was happened to my AC, all my opinions, and the pros and cons of each decision. That is exactly what I needed.I selected the best offer for me and my home. I was able to get them scheduled to install my new AC unit the next day. When I tell you almost cried tears of joy. James immediately identified the problem and fixed it for a very fair price late on a Friday afternoon going into a very hot Texas weekend. Some service companies do everything they can to run up the fee. That was not the case with James. I was very happy writing him a check. Were considering paying for their annual service. I hired Honest AC to install a new Carrier 3.5 ton AC system for my home to replace our 2004 Carrier builders grade AC that was failing us repeatedly (due to aggressive refrigerant loss from a big leak in our evaporative coil). It didnt make any sense to replace the coil for $3K (a common quote from other contractors too) so a new system purchase on this primary homestead made sense.They did an amazing job; everything from the initial, informative diagnostic visit (Jacob) with options explained -- to the no-pressure, cost assessment and overview (Seth) -- to the non-disruptive, very smooth installation by 3 technicians working on my property (Josh, Juston and Jackston).The installation work was carried out very efficiently; one person initially working on the outdoor unit working in parallel with the two others who were removing the old attic air handler/gas furnace and replacing it with the new one.I also want to note that they masked up each time they came inside and were very careful and courteous around my property. The entire time, my family couldnt tell there was any work going on outside. Any interruptions were truly kept to a minimum! Once they were done, Josh went over the work that was completed, how I can keep the system running efficiently, and how various upgrades were made to safeguard any potential problems and to maintain (if not exceed) code requirements. What I saw was a VERY clean install in my attic! I was so impressed that Im now looking into switching my annual maintenance checks to Honest AC.There are plenty of hvac contractors in Austin and surrounding areas, and Im sure many are well-qualified and can also low-ball you with quotes. I was swamped with quotes from various contractors even located outside of Austin, but I decided to go with Honest AC because of all the great reviews Ive read about them and the excellent, solid appointments Ive had with their technicians and sales advisor. Their prices are admittedly not the cheapest (nor the most expensive), and theyre the first to point that out. But for the high quality of work and service they provide, the rates are more than fair and easily justified. I had to smile in agreement when the salesperson Seth told me not to be so focused on name brands -- its just a name on the box. He emphasized rightfully that its the after-sales service that counts the most. At a macro level, my HVAC system is once again producing cold air, I was able to get it fixed in a timely fashion, and I paid a fair price. Ultimately, we chose Honest Air Conditioning based on a referral from a friend, their reviews, and their competitive price. There is a lot to be unhappy about though.Another company diagnosed that the problem with one of my Carrier residential HVAC systems was that its evaporator coil had developed a leak and that the refrigerant had vented out. Upon choosing Honest to remedy the problem, we were quite surprised to find out during the installation that an Ingersoll Rand (i.e. Trane / American Standard) coil was being installed instead of a Carrier coil as we had requested. Id much prefer to have a system with components from a single vendor that are engineered to work together. This also means that we were comparing apples and oranges with regard to the different quotes that we had received. Unfortunately, I found out from my wife that Honest only made a verbal quote, so we didnt have anything in writing saying what we were purchasing.When we discovered this discrepancy we immediately called our sales contact to inquire. One thing we wanted to understand was the warranty implications. The sales person said the Trane warranty is only for 5 years, and that it is not eligible for an extension since we werent buying an entire Trane system. In comparison, Carrier coils have a 10 year warranty once registered. Also, in using a different coil, there are some technical differences. For example, I would have paid an extra $100 for a TXV instead of a FCCV, as our system originally had. All of this should have been disclosed and discussed up front.Further, there are some aspects of the installation that are very unprofessional. Some of this relates to additional work performed during the same service call to rebuild the supply plenums for both of our HVAC systems as a mitigation for some slow mold growth that has occurred over the last 13 years.- An electric wire (i.e. romex cable) running perpendicular to the HVAC equipment was relocated to act as a support for one of the plenum boxes. The new plenum box neither has anything solid underneath to hold it up nor does it have any strapping to support it from above. Hence, it is only being held up by the wire and connection to the adjacent piece of equipment. Using electric lines as supports for HVAC equipment is definitely inappropriate!- In rebuilding one of the plenum boxes, some ducts connected to it were relocated. Instead of using the appropriate nylon strapping to support the ducts, one of the ducts is now resting on a sharp piece of metal strapping for the furnace flue. Not only could this cause damage the duct over time, it is cutting off the airflow in the duct by at least half.- In sealing the plenum boxes to the adjacent HVAC equipment, the connections were properly taped and sealed with mastic on the visible edges. However, on the edges that are not easily visible, only tape was used. Im quite leery about this as a previous vendor had done some work using only tape on all edges. The tape eventually failed and the entire duct became disconnected from the HVAC equipment resulting in a large amount of hot/cold air blowing into my attic.- Tape and mastic were applied over portions of the service doors, including screws, for the evaporator coil cabinets. The evaporator coils are supposed to be accessible for periodic cleaning. So cleaning the coils now will involve removing all of the excess mastic and tape. (In the photos, you can see that I started to remove the excess mastic and tape from the service doors for the evaporator coil cabinets).Lastly, I was not impressed with paper work provided by Honest. As mentioned above, the initial quote was only provided verbally. Also, upon completion of the work, it would have been nice if the model and serial number for the new equipment had been provided for trace-ability and warranty registration purposes.

I’m so glad I called Honest Plumbing and air after our kitchen sink clogged for the third time in just under 3 years. They have great customer service and cleared the drain for a lot less than the company that did it the first two times. And they recommended actions that would keep it from clogging in the future. We had them replace our original home AC units several months ago and did a great job on that so I’m glad I remembered that they did plumbing too!

Honest Plumbing and Becca were fantastic!Came out same day for free estimate on a problem with our kitchen faucet. Rebecca got r right to work detected a leak we werent aware of with the faucet and explained options between rebuild replacement or install self supplied faucet. She noticed that our faucet was a Moen & told us that Moen had lifetime warranty. We contacted Moen & she talked to their rep ending us getting the replacement faucet. Honest installed the new HVAC and provided with a maintenance plan which I have been using. Despite that today I learnt there is mold in and around unit in attic. Despite regular maintenance visits Honest never diagnosed this or informed me to take action or offer service to fix it.

Honest Plumbing and Air-conditioning is highly recommended. They worked on our bathroom plumbing and the AC as well. Both jobs were done professionally. However, Im waiting for the AC guys to come back and patch the ceiling extra hole.Its scheduled for tomorrow.

Had Honest out last week to replace a 10-year-old system with a leak. Quotes were competitive and didnt try to upsell my on anything. They were flexible with their install time and the install went more quickly than I had anticipated. Slight hiccup on getting the attic door reinstalled to the ceiling, but this was resolved in 2 days. Now resting easy that my system will last though what is gearing up to be a brutal summer.

Love the maintenance program for our HVAC and water heaters. Super reassuring when they come out twice a year and then any work done any time it is discounted. Everyone they have sent over has been really nice. Poor AJ fixed our water heater that was installed poorly and had some issues but he stuck with it and got it all fixed.

We saw that we had water pouring out onto the street and figured we had a leak. We called honest plumbing and they sent Tom and Chris They came out the same day! They called 311 for us to get the area mapped out and came back 2 days later and fixed it. They were very professional and very informative. These guys have been on it from the moment we called the office and spoke to the wonderful woman who answered to getting our pipe fixed so we can have water running again!

Jacob was very professional when he came to troubleshoot our a/c unit. He found the problem, was very quick to address it, and established great communication through the repair process. Juan and Andy from the installation crew came out the very next day to replace my faulty coils. My attic is similar to a crawl space, very hard to work in. They were professional and timely with the repair and made sure everything was running smoothly before leaving the job. I would strongly recommend them.

They have always been able to send someone out immediately when we call and the person is always professional, kind and efficient. We feel they charge for the service they provide and the price is fair and all service is explained. We had our new unit installed through them and while more expensive than other options they provided a great warranty and a cash discount. Today the new unit stopped turning on, they sent someone out within 30 minutes of me calling and it was fixed so quickly.If you are looking for a company who will actually help you call them.

Ac wasn’t blowing cool air this morning and after calling several other companies that I’ve used in the past, none of them were gonna be able to come out for several days. Went ahead and gave these guys a call and they were at my house and fixed the issue within a few hours. And the price was more than fair too! Very happy!

The technician quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to quickly get my system up and running. Also suggested a power booster to start the AC with less strain on the compressor so system will last longer. Ver please and thought price was reasonable

The communication via texting to manage my expectations regarding his arrival time was perfect. The email transactions ensuring no confusion regarding costs and project parameters were perfect. The plumber was careful to thoroughly answer my questions. He also educated me on how the water heater works and things I could do to minimize problems. Finally, he me to call my chief inspector directly to make sure he required the items being proposed. I did so and subsequently learned that the 18” platform for my water heater was not required. This saved me a ton of money. How many plumbers would have advised to do that? Probably none. I think I found my plumber for life.

I initially made an appointment to replace my washing machine shut off valves. During the evaluation, the service tech Tom discovered a leak coming from the hot water heater expansion tank. Tom was very professional and took the time to explain the process and answer all of my questions. Tom did a fantastic job and I am very pleased with the outcome today. Honest AC & Plumbing is an ok company. They provide a good service but overpriced like most of this type of companies. I replace my HVAC system back in feb 2023 and they did a good job, but after the first installation and you pay them the big bucks, the service quality declines. They offer me a 2 year labor warranty and 10 year parts warranty, so I was happy. After one year, they call me and leave me a voice message to schedule the maintenance service that is already included. After calling back and tell me the service is not included, I need to pay $179 to be in the program again. When the technician comes, I show him the voice message and after he calls back to the office, they agreed on honor it so I appreciate it, but this will be my last free service (Which I thought was cover in the 2 year labor warranty). Closing the service, they offered me way overpriced services, like HVAC starters for $500 USD when you can buy them in amazon for $20 USD, UV systems for $1,500 USD when in amazon (same brand is $300 USD) and installations are really easy to do (checking YouTube videos). I get it they need to make money but getting 2500% or 500% earnings looks excessive for me. Ive seen this across companies here in the US. I really wish there were home service companies that charge something more reasonable.

Fabian Villanueva serviced our system today. He did an amazing job. He took pictures of our ducts and boxes in the attic showing us how they looked. We have never had anyone do such a detailed analysis of our system. Fabian is a true asset to the company.

We’ve been using honest AC for a few years now and are always so satisfied with their work. Their employees are always so kind and thorough. Today Fabian came to perform a tune up included in my yearly membership for my AC unit. He was awesome!! He even performed manual labor to be extra nice and dug out rocks and muck that had fallen in the way of my drain line, rearranging some lines and giving great advice. He referred me to their plumbers for some other work I need done and let me know about the different membership levels available to me as well as anticipating future issues and ways to prevent them.

This is the second project weve had Honests help with, and theyre always great. Tom helped us out with our water heater replacement and was fantastic. We always knew what was going on, he described things clearly without being patronizing, and kept every part of the process clean and orderly. He was even careful about making any noise while our 2 year old was taking his nap. We love working with Honest. And Tom is one of the reasons why.

My first experience with Honest A/C & Plumbing was regarding my thermostat, our neighborhood had a power outage and my thermostat just locked up. I called one company and they told me my thermostat was broken and needed to be replace. I was not happy to hear about a broken thermostat. I decided to call Honest A/C & Plumbing, Alan or Allen with Honest took my call, answered my questions and sent out a technician for the next day, which was Zach Martin. Zach started looking at my thermostat and said my thermostat only needed to be recalibrated. Besides Zach saving me lots of money from what the first company told me, Zach was professional, friendly and just a nice guy! Great experience! James was fantastic. He explained everything so well and never made me feel dumb for not knowing it (first-time homeowner problems). We have used Honest Air Conditioning for the last few years for our annual maintenance. Jacob has been our service advisor and has been very professional and honest. For the last 3 or 4 years we had been putting a band aid on our system with the hopes of stretching its expected life a little further (it was a 24 year old system). Jacob has been honest each time with giving me options. This year our a/c quit working on a Sunday morning, and Jacob came out same day. He again gave me my options of repairing or replacing, without any pressure. We decided it was time to replace the entire unit, and Jeremy and Brian were to our house the next day. They did an amazing job over the 6 hour or so install, and were happy to answer any questions I had throughout the process. I would happily recommend Honest A/C and Plumbing to anyone needing their services.

Our AC and Furnace went out in June, of course as the weather hit the 100’s. I called and talked to person who had said they can get a rep out there in a few hours ( on a Saturday also) I had also called several other companies who’s voicemail just picked up. An hour later, an Honest AC person texts saying he’ll be right by….inspected and gave us a quote and had also mentioned the AC we wanted would be an extra day as a part was shipping. We appreciated the honesty and had the unit Ac and furnace installed on a Wednesday. Nice team of guys came in and cleared out the old and brought in the new. Also I had finally received a call back from another AC company ( one on tv) several days later.

If I could give Honest Air a ten star review, I would certainly do that. I called one morning to set up an appointment for an estimate and James was here in probably thirty minutes. He looked at what I had and gave me options for a replacement. I didnt even want to discuss repairing it since it was a 19 year old system and I felt it had done its job. He told me the advantages of each system and there was no pressure for me to decide one way or the other. I was even happier when he told me that he could have a crew out here the very next morning. So, the next day Logan, along with his crew of two, Jeremy and Kade came early in the day to get started. All three men were so very nice and professional.
