My Daikin mini-split system went down, and this company is listed as my local repair center on Daikins official website. I called and asked that a repair person with experience fixing these systems be sent out. The person sent was a young man whose diagnosis and repair consisted of just calling Daikin on the phone and asking how to reset the main condenser. He then left, charging me $99 for doing nothing. As I had already explained, I had been down this road and learned how to reset the system previously. Yes, the units go active again temporarily when its reset, but they go right back off again within a matter of minutes, or a couple days at the most. Sure enough, the system was off again that same week, as no repair had actually been performed. I called back and asked that a qualified repair person be sent out to complete the job. Dennis was sent this time, whom Lisa (office personnel who answered) referred to as their expert with mini-split systems. Ill never understand why Dennis wasnt sent the first time, considering an expert is what I had requested when I initially called. In any case, Dennis arrived and opened the units that were not working properly. He determined that one of the three heads needed cleaning to restore the system to proper functionality. I consented and this cleaning service was performed on that unit. Dennis then reset the system and it temporarily worked again for a few hours, only to turn back off and display the same exact error codes as before. Obviously this cleaning he deemed necessary had not improved things, so Dennis then returned to look into the issue further. This time, he determined that the thermistor was bad. Despite the fact that we have multiple Daikin supply warehouses here in DFW, none of them appeared to have this small, seemingly common part in stock. We therefore had to wait until the following week for a thermistor to arrive from out of state. When it did, Dennis returned to install it, only to find he had not noticed that there is actually no way to install a thermistor on our system. The entire board must be replaced, he stated. This required yet another special order taking us into yet another week. At this point, it had been over a month since the repair was begun, and we had lived without air conditioning in these rooms for the entire month of August. After several more business days with no word, I contacted the office again to inquire as to the status of this board they had ordered. I was told by a different lady there that it was expected the following day, and that I should receive a call regarding another appointment with Dennis. This call never came either, so I called the office yet again two days later for an update. I knew the part had arrived, so in my mind, someone should have been in touch by now. Dennis is on his way now was the answer I received. So apparently, had I not called that morning myself, I would not have been notified that this employee was coming to my house at all. He was just going to show up and hope someone was around, I suppose. Fortunately I was able to be home to let Dennis in again to install the new board. Once installed, the system was again inoperable within a matter of hours. I of course called the office to report this issue which was now over two months old. I was told Dennis was now sick and would have to return the following week. So we waited again, and Dennis finally returned for the fifth time, determining that we needed a new valve to fix the problem, as he had misdiagnosed it again. I was informed by another lady in the office that these valves were not available locally (big surprise), thus wed be waiting until Thursday of that week for them to arrive. I then asked specifically that I be kept informed of all updates rather than me having to constantly call them myself to know anything. Yet again that did not happen, as last Thursday came and went with no updates and we are now into the next week, right at the 10-week mark as of this writing. A mediocre experience, to put it as kindly as possible.

American Air & Heat was a recommendation and couldn’t be more pleased with their service, professionalism, and friendliness from first contact! I had a late night request and Lisa responded first thing in the a.m. and was ready to schedule the next day. The technician kept me informed on what he was doing every step of the way. My AC was cooling in less than an hour of him being there! It is an old unit and gave me an estimate right then on potential future problems.I will definitely be a repeat customer and highly recommend using them!!Thank you!

Called to look into furnace not staying on. Within 30 minutes they were knocking on my door. Within 10 minutes they could see what the problem was. Super fast and efficient service. Technicians were courteous and professional. I will be using American Air and heat again in the future. Overall very positive experience today. Just in time for the cold weekend ahead!! Thank you!

Our a/c went out Friday night at the worst possible time of year. After calling 3 other services and getting not till Monday I called the one closest to me and Lauren said Chico could come at noon today! And even though my husband had bought the part and installed it by the time he got here, Chico found some other issues and fixed those and talked my husband through the whole process so hell know what to do next time. But for those times when he doesnt, I will call American Air and Heat from now on. Prompt, professional, quick, and courteous.

Excellent service at reasonable prices. Every person that has been sent to my home has been with the company for many years! That speaks volumes. And, they arent paid by commission like so many of the companies out there. The first couple of times they came out, it was because I was having issues with my a/c and I had to have a couple of repairs including a new fan. Now, Im on a maintenance program and since I started that I havent had any problems. They come out twice a year- before a/c season and before heater season. My a/c isnt new however, and Im sure itll eventually give out but I trust them to extend its life as long as possible.

Technician arrived on time and was very friendly. He diagnosed the problem and made suggestions on the repair. Price was very reasonable considering the amount of work to be performed. Install team arrived on time and were very professional.

I had never used this company before but left a message on Monday and heard back a few hours later and had an appointment scheduled for the next day. I got a courtesy call that the technician was on his way (right on schedule) and he got to work. Denis figured out the interior problem but needed a part for the condenser. He made sure the interior unit was working so we would have heat last night and came back today to repair the condenser problem. He explained everything and was very professional. Will be using American A&H in the future.

This company is very awesome with customer service. Got a new unit for a home the technicians what are very polite and knowledgeable about their job. There was a small incident that happened after the work was done I called the company and received an immediate answer and response the representative for the company was very patient with me and answered all my questions it was a simple fix but Im very glad that my question was answered and it was fixed immediately. I do recommend this company to anybody because they have great customer service great technicians and just great service all the way around.

I have been using American Air since 2009, Jay the owner has been great to deal with and has always been very responsive and reasonably priced. Chico has been to my home 5 times over the years for AC condenser replacement, Heater Maintenance and the latest Thermostat replacement. Lisa and the office staff have always been very helpful and professional. I have always been treated fairly and with respect. I would not use anyone else i DFW for my AC/Heat work.

Great job fixing my mom’s older furnace after the recant winter storm revealed that it was not working efficiently. Sourcing parts took a bit of time but it was affordable and communication was great! Will recommend 100%!

Weve been in a new home for 7 years and the HVAC system hadnt been set up right since weve moved in. Several things wrong that have caused us to have all kinds of issues including high utility bills when the main reason we bought from this builder was because of their record and history of having low utility bills. They came in fixed everything and got it set up correctly. We sign up with their maintenance plan. Highly recommend these guys they know what theyre doing-know what theyre talking about

I can’t say enough good things about this company. I had a malfunctioning system that multiple companies couldn’t sort out. American Air and Heat came over and logically figured out the problem, and proceeded to fix the main issue as well as correcting all incorrect work done in the original install of the equipment by another company. They were fast and the price was extremely fair. I will ABSOLUTELY use them when it is time to replace the other system at my house. Highly recommended!

Was able to locate a 30+ year old HVAC part quickly. Service desk was calm cool and collected, very professional. Theyve been here my whole life, wish I found them sooner, thank you again!!

STAY AWAY FROM ThESETHIEVES! They wired our swamp cooler incorrectly at our school and it caught on fire and could have burned the place down! Also we found out that were intentionally causing damage to our other HVAC units to cause things to be in need of repair. They actually tried to charge us $500 dollars for a thermostat that wasnt even broken. This company is full of dishonest crooks!

Needed dryer parts for a 1988 Maytag and they had them all in stock. The price was very competitive compared to a smaller shop in Arlington that I tried. Rachel was a delight in her service and technical knowledge. Of course, Sam-the-cat was cute and friendly.

I have been using American Air & Heat for about 10 years now for both parts and for whole unit installations. And they always seem to go above and beyond my expectations which is why I wont use anyone else. Reasonable pricing, good warranty and courteous knowledgeable employees makes this one of the best A/C service companies in the Metroplex.

The girls at American Air are extremely nice and helpful. This place is perfect for the DIY guy. Thanks to YouTube, I diagnosed that my condenser capacitor had gone out.When I got to American Air, they tested it to verify that it was bad. They had one in stock and it was cheaper than the other places I checked.Same thing when my blower fan took a crap last year, they had it in stock and it was cheaper.Plus they sell to the public which many supply places dont.They are always so happy and cheerful!

Excellent place for parts!! This place is very nice and very helpful. They have rescued me on two seperate occations. Mt sons 4th birtday cake was in theoven when the heating element burned out and started sparking. I call just before they closed the someone stuck around for me to come get the new part that they had in stock. After getting home from a 4th of July vacation our AC condenser was not running. We needed a new capacitor and we called several places that all told us they did not sell to the public. American Appliance Parts to the rescue. Called in the part I needed, and it was waiting at the counter when I showed up!

They were able to come out on the day I called. The technician knew exactly what was wrong and had my unit up an running in no time. Very knowledgeable and professional. Great job guys.

AC was out coming back from a two week vacation in Thailand :( its over 100 degrees! I opened the outside unit and diagnosed it was the capacitor went bad. Took it to this place because of the reviews and the reviews are correct. Staff was super friendly and lady at the front desk knew her stuff. I highly recommend this place. I found my new part store! I had the unit fixed in one hour from start to finished. Thank God they are open on Saturdays

RIP off.....over charges you on simple fixes. Got a quote n technician to repair would cost in the $1000, got it done for less than $150.00

Go there for A/C filters that arent the standard 4 size. Ladies at the counter are very couteous and knowledgeable. Filter prices are very good.
