Literally the worst Navy Federal branch I’ve been to in my life. I never thought I could ever hate going to Navy Federal. I loved Navy Federal when I was in service and it was always a great place. Then I came to this branch and it was like my world was flipped upside down. It has been like two or three years of constant bad service at this Navy Federal branch.I am even more surprised at how the Branch Manager is still in charge. I was recently there and when I asked to speak to the branch manager, they told their staff that I had to wait over 30 mins to see them. Over an hour later, no branch manager came and the staff hinted that I should leave since the Branch Manager isn’t coming. How is this good customer service? I know Navy Federal is way better than that.Please fix this issue Navy Federal leadership. This branch is literally a nightmare. Please bring back the good Navy Federal I once knew.

I have visited this branch many times and it must be the slowest Navy Federal I have ever visited. They have a lot of people walking around from the back and some of the desk but always only have two tellers and the line is to the door and beyond. You would think someone would open another teller window to get the line down. The ATM line is always a wait it seem no matter when you go. I guess I am just use to better customer service.

Used to have two ATMS - now have one. Used to be able to get money out the ATM with Apple Pay, now you can’t. My only gripe with Navy Federal is how hard it is to find ATMs, especially out of state, and the fact that almost none of them seem to have Apple Pay. I came here because I always was able to use it and now I drove here for nothing. The purpose of me having a bank account is convenience. Then, I ask for $160 withdrawal, they gave me $60. Glad I checked or I would’ve 30 driven 30 minutes away both ways with no money and no options. An ATM wouldn’t have done that. Exploring other options.

I don’t appreciate being treated like a criminal when I was a victim of a scammer in YOUR parking lot and when your bank teller made errors that could only be corrected by the branch. I went to this location to deposit money. I was met by a scammer asking if they can transfer money for me to withdraw because they didn’t have an ID. I watched the scammer report fraud on my account instead of sending money. So I went inside to let them know what’s going on in their parking lot. Everything was handled but they put a hold on the funds that would be under investigation (or maybe because they thought I was apart of the scam) needless to say when the fraud department reversed the credit my money was still under hold. I called Navy federal immediately and when they called the branch they LIED and said I deposited a check that’s why it was on hold. I handed them over 1600 in cash. I had to return to the location. It was confirmed by the teller and then the manager over examined my ID then took it to another room only to come back and say, it’s in their… just rude. I was still on the phone with Navy Federal whom also thought they were treating my like a criminal. I’d hate to say I was banking while black but had I came in my work clothes instead of painting clothes, maybe I would have been treated better.

This is the only bank I know that allow third parties to forge your signature and cash a check issued in your name , like how do you allow that?, and the bankThat issued the check to me has disputed , it’s been over 4months and navy federal is yet to respond , I will be filing a civil suit against this bank , this is a clear case of fraud and negligence to a victim of fraud / theft

Quiet and clean bank. Very modern and up-to-date services. They have a waiting area with tablets for the kids and has multiple tellers, so the wait isnt as long. This bank only offers cashier checks, but you can order them ahead of time onlineUpdate: They have lowered their customer service standards. Walked in the bank...8 people in line at the atm...40 people waiting inside bank. All 10 had to come inside and wait again. Bank teller who helped me was wearing street clothes and was not professional at all. In fact there was only 1 woman who was professional. Waited for 1 1/2 hours to be told I had to call and wait 2 more hours to talk to someone to unrestrict my account. Im very disappointed because my first experiences were wonderful! I opened they can fix the issues.

Their customer service department is HORRIBLE! They have nasty attitudes. I have been with NF for about three years now and Ive spoken to about eight customer service representatives and only three of those eight were friendly. Little girl today was nasty for NO reason at all. I say little girl because GROWN woman dont act the way she did. I wasnt nasty at all, all I was simply trying to get is a better understanding of something. I almost got a car loan with them but Im happy I didnt ... or any other loan for that matter. Ive heard horror stories. Theyre nice AT FIRST to lure you in and then its down hill from there. My mother stopped banking with them and she is happy she did. I wont be with them long ... thats for sure.

This bank is supposed to be better. But they are not. I lost my wallet. Need a card asap! They say no! No ID. No physical ID no card. ID wont get here for at least 3 weeks. Then card wont come in mail for 3 weeks. So I have no access to any of my money for a month! Gonna close account after I get my ID. Should make a way for someone in my predicament to get a card. Some kind of help. They just no an tell you to move along!!!!! They get ZERO STARS FROM ME!

This is probably the worst nf in Houston. The atm is frequently out of service. Most employees don’t seem to care when it gets busy. There will be a line to the door and only have one teller open. They have plenty of employees walking around or in and out of the back.I had an issue when my wallet was stolen from my car. I came in to get cash because I didn’t have any credit or debit cards. I had an old id that was cut because I got a cld license. The manager said I couldn’t withdraw money because the id was cut. Yet I can get a home loan or car loans for hundreds of thousands of dollars over the phone. Eventually after arguing with her and telling her my personal details and showing her my bank account on my phone she let me withdraw $200.I’m currently 4th in line to pick up a auto loan check. All they have to do is literally print it and I should be able to go. I verified my identity with the door greeter. I’ve been sitting for 20min. I’ll probably be here for around an hr. Unfortunately there aren’t that many nf around.Whoever the manager is, needs to get fired. These issues have been going on for too long.

If I could give this location zero stars I would. I’ve been a member of navy federal for 5+ Years And have always received excellent customer service until I came to this location. This location makes navy federal look like a terrible company. The staff is very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I’ve come to this location twice and the last visit was it for me. I was flat out denied service and had to leave and finish my transaction over the phone. I came on Monday June 6th 2022. As soon as I walked through the door a tall man at the front door(who didn’t introduce himself) began to interrogate me as if I didn’t belong there and once I told him what I had come for he pointed me to the waiting area. I was then called into the front right office by a young woman that never introduced herself but talked to me the entire time in a snarky tone with a scowl on her face. She then began to make up all types of ridiculous policies and reasons why she wouldn’t help me that day and shoo’d me away. I know the policies she made up were false because like I said I’ve been a member for 5+ years, visited multiple locations, & hand countless interactions with my bank. So knowing everything she was saying was false I just left peacefully and finished my transaction over the phone which was a much better experience and the customer service I’m used to receiving from navy federal. This location NEEDS TO RE-STAFF IMMEDIATELY. The employees don’t represent the brand well and will turn ppl away from the business.

There are some good employees here but there are at least 3/4 bad ones. They talk trash (which I confronted with nothing left to be said) make faces, just judgemental and all I’m here to do is to deposit money!!! The least they could do is fake it or at least until I leave, the break room even???

This location has piss poor customer service! While we arrived at 5:02pm to get a replacement card, yes they close at 5pm. I explained to the teller that was standing gard at the door, we only needed a replacement card and were catching a 6am flight. If he could please just print us one and would wait outside. He then informed me that he needed to ask his manager, before he could finish his sentence Avis the branch manager was already saying NO. WOW really Avis!!!!!????????? So much for this Navy Federal having great customer service!!! Mind you there was 5 other guest still waiting in line inside! Im sure Navy Federal DOESNT know your treating Armed Forces like this! SMH

Visited today with a close friend. Branch manager was very rude. She refused to let my friend deposit her cash and continued to aggressively insist that she go outside and use the ATM which (which would have took u incredibly long due to the ATM only accepting 30 bills at a time) She goes every week to deposit her tips so why make it such an issue?My friend then proceeded to ask for a manager or supervisor and she stated that no one could help her but herself and again presses the issue to go to deposit it outside.I felt as though she was racially charged. With Navy Federal being such a prestigious banking institution, it’s saddens me to see them allow a woman who treats women of color so disgustingly to represent them.Will not visit this location again.

Frankly, I would score the branch managers customer service a negative rating if I could. My Mom and Dad were NFCU members for over 40 years. Following my mothers recent passing I needed to obtain a medallion stamp to transfer property from her estate. After consulting the national customer service line and being assured a local Houston branch could provide me with the stamp - as a non-member, I proceeded into the branch. Once inside I explained my need to a teller. The branch manager approached me from behind and informed me in a highly rude tone that since I was not a member I could not be helped. What I was told by customer service telephonically or my parents 40+ years with NFCU meant nothing to this lady - her negative tone was unyielding. When I told her I would establish NFCU membership, she told me that even if I did establish an account, she could not provide me with the stamp that day. Immediately thereafter, I called national customer service, explained my situation, and established an account. National customer service then called the local branch. They returned to the line, apologized, and suggested I go to a different branch to obtain the stamp - without explanation for why I should travel 30 miles to another location to obtain a service that I was entitled to receive at this branch. I then proceeded back into this branch and once again requested the stamp - now as a member. After waiting another 15 minutes the branch manager came out and provided me with the stamp without saying two words to me. I did inform her, however, that I would be filing a complaint based on her lack of professionalism and what I clearly perceived to be her intentional actions to obstruct my access to federally-guaranteed banking services. I subsequently filed this complaint with NFCU. I have followed up twice and I have yet to receive a satisfactory response from a person in authority. Curiously, the first time I called I was informed the matter was referred to the local branch manager for follow through. No kidding - the branch manager who treated me so poorly was asked to review and resolve the matter. How is that for accountability? I feel I no choice but to now file a complaint with federal regulators. So sad with what has happened to my Mom and Dads beloved NFCU.

This branch is terrible. The staff is so rude and they dont want to do any work. I needed an important document in order to close on a house and this one lady was EXTREMELY rude I believe her name was marie and would not print out my payment statements because my husband and I were on a joint account and she wouldnt let me do it because he wasnt physically there with me (It was the middle of a Monday and he was at obviously at work.) She wouldnt call him to verify she just said no. I lost the deal because of this terrible employee. Will never ever go back to this branch again.

This location just opened here in Houston and I was excited. Visited to withdraw funds and do a change order. Teller proceeded to tell me they don’t break coins can only have rolls. So I repeated to her that I was withdrawing my own money and you’re telling me I can’t have the way I want it. She told me yes but not for a business I let her know I’m a person. Withdrawing from my personal checking. I don’t have a business account. Didn’t place the coins in my hand or envelope. Not sure how me askimg for my OWN money granted an attitude. I will stick to online banking and never visit that location again. I have never had an issue with any other branch in diff states.

Totally disappointed in Navy Federal credit union. Im a deployed military member trying to sell my house from out in the desert. my mortgage has been deferred for a while but was told 3 different times that there wouldnt be any interest or fees for it being deffered. but a little over a week before closing I find myself owning a large amount of interest. so much that payoff is the original amount of the loan that I have been paying on for 5 years. I was told that it would be waived but I needed to sign a document that took forever to get to me and then had to over night it which they claim 4 days later they still havent gotten to even start the process. now I am closing in 2 days and they cant tell me if the interest will be refunded to me later... the man I spoke to was absolutely rude. he works in this department but couldnt give me any answers to my questions and refused to let me speak to a manager. Navy Federal has basically scandaled me. as far as I am told, the interest they promised to waive they are stealing from me because they could process a simple document in a timely fashion.

They’re incredibly unhelpful and rude. Showed up after work 4:58p to be exact and they said they were closed and wouldn’t help. You can try to come during lunch; however, wait times are long so you may miss your appointment or be late for work. Their solution is to “try and take off” as if that is an option or come on a Saturday which is inconvenient if your service need is of a timely manner.

Showed up to this location, believing it was open, and theres a sign stating this branch is temporarily closed as well as the ATM being down. It was unfortunate and there were a lot of other people also disappointed due to the fact it was closed. Absolutely trash. I moved my assets over the navy under the assumption they were so good completely opposite. High unprofessional incompetent bank. 1st would not refinance a car due to one fender bender (capital one refinanced), was not aware or informed you could not payments from savings (rent bounced causing fees), you have to walk into the slow branch to wire funds more than 5,000 (only bank I know), would not notarize a document because it was a closing document ( chase did), they wouldnt open a business account for fix and flip businesses (every bank does), the clown that suppose to be a banker deposited a business check in my personal account which caused me to be in the bank 60 MINS and they restricted my account due to their screw ups and incompetence, it shouldnt have taken 60 mins to figure this out but they played with it for an hour. Time is money. Im moving all my assets back to chase and closing this garbage down. I would never recommend navy to anyone

Disappointed.They called my new Toyota 4Runner used because it has more than 7,499 miles on it! I bought it to drive not just to look at (even though I do like to look at it). Ah that magic word used. Say it and the interest rate jumps up! I bought it new, its in perfect shape, its this years model and its a 4Runner! BTW the rate I have now is just as good as their new vehicle rate and much better than their used vehicle rate.Guess I expected more from an organization thats supposed to serve the military community.

Extreme lack of leadership within this branch. Lack of integrity and avoids follow-up requests. Leadership fabricates stories, acts unprofessional, and attempting to escalate matters will result in having to go elsewhere. Luckily other branches are opening around town so I can avoid this particular branch. Not the culture I am used to at Navy Fed, I hope this issue gets corrected before it starts to poison the area or else these branches will be a sore subject at company meetings....

Inept.They cannot check and verify basic qualifications for loans and will make buyers and sellers go through the entire month long (or longer) process before they will cancel closing due to something that should have been taken care of during pre-qualification.INEPT. Stay away if you are a buyer. Sellers - stay away from buyers using them.

I have a secured credit card and I went to this location for the first time to make a payment and asked if anyone could help me to call card services to push my payment through since they wasnt busy due to me facing an emergency situation Im trying to get a rental car, they showed no compassion or care and told me I could call the 800 number myself, I will never go back to this location.
