Hector did an great job. He showed up right on time, worked super fast, and the price was really fair. It’s hard to find a reliable HVAC mechanic these days, but he delivered, highly recommend them if you need a solid mechanic.

Hector arrived earlier than schedule. He was professional and most helpful. They will be back in the morning to finish the job.Update: after Hector came out to repair my AC unit, I subscribed to the maintenance program. He was last at my house in September. Clearly maintenance was not being done and as a result, I had to get a whole new unit put in. No one ever advised me of the mold, etc., I have called them several times to ascertain what maintenance was actually done after receiving these pictures. They have not returned my calls. I will follow up with an attorney for small claims court and the Better Business Bureau. Thank God I was able to replace it with a new unit for $10,000 with all the discounts.

The company sent a technician who didn’t speak English, making communication difficult from the start—especially when he tried to reschedule the original appointment. When he arrived, I wasn’t sure if he fully understood my explanation of the issue. Throughout the visit, he relied on Google Translate to communicate. This made me wonder: Does Texas require HVAC technicians to be licensed or certified? If so, how can someone pass the certification process without speaking English?

I had a recent experience with Hector an A/C repairman who installed a universal motor.I was informed that leaving the cables exposed on the outside of the unit is considered normal practice, but Ive never seen this before and its not my preference.Nevertheless, my AC is working now.

Hector is a very knowledgeable technician. He arrived to our home on time quickly diagnosed our issue and repaired the unit. He was pleasant while explaining the issues and now is our heat is restored. I was pleased with the level of service.

The Contractor was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Even though it was raining while he worked, he continued with the chore. He informed me he had to go purchase a fan motor for the A/C unit, he returned sooner than expected. I rate him a solid 10.

Hector was great. He is thorough and has great intuition. Two techs failed to find the problem and the last one literally told me I needed a new unit. Hector instead checked component by component patiently waiting between each test since my issue was intermittent until he located the problem. Yesterday I was about to sign a deal for a new unit. I am so glad I called uptown to do a sanity check before I did!

Had no issue with the service we recieved, however the gigantic on time on the side of the van was not accurate, as our technician was an hour and 15 minutes late - while the communication told us they were on their way - though they did not specify from where specifically. When its forecasted to get below freezing and I have a small child, better communication would have been preferred.

Great service !!! Mr. Moreno explained step by step what he was doing and helped me understand the issue my AC unit had.

The time was set for 1130 to 130. I had to make arrangements for a friend to be there because I had to work. 130 came around and no one was there. Had to call for an update and then said they would be there 245. 245 came around and no communication. Had to call again. They said 345 and then he finally showed up at 430. My friend had to wait all day long for them. When he got here he was able to fix the problem right away.

Had an A/C issue in October and contacted our home warranty company. Uptown was assigned and responded quickly, came out to properly determine the cause and worked with Home Warranty company to move things forward. End of summer in Houston with no a/c (and homeowner with medical condition) is not good but Uptown kept following up with part supplier, came out and installed the part quickly when it was available. The team was courteous, clean, knowledgeable and did great work. Three weeks with no a/c in bedroom was tough - now it works! Thank you!

Nothing but kudos for this company! From day one when they got the call from my warranty company they were on top of it from the get-go. My AC went out on Monday, I filed a claim that evening and here it is. Thursday afternoon with a new unit installed within 2 and 1/2 hours. Hours. Cleanup was great and the crew was very personable. Also, Lewis who is the manager kept me apprised of everything from claim approval to the unit being ordered and what I could expect. Highly recommend these guys in a heartbeat.

Gave incorrect information to the warranty company. I only found this out because I called them to give me an estimate on replacing what the warranty company denied and they never called me back. I reached out to a different company that came out and replaced the unit and showed us where nothing they reported to the warranty company was true. I had to come out of pocket 3k for something that should have been covered. Very disappointed!! Scammers!!

Hector came right on time. And in two seconds he was able to address the issue with the air conditioner. He is so professional and has lot of knowledge about his work. After it became clear there was a defect in relatively new unit, the guys pressed the manufacturer to find the back ordered part and got it to Houston, installed and blowing cold I a couple of days. While the manufacturer originally indicated a far longer wait. They have been stand up on all aspects of their work from day 1 to the repair finished today.

Very pleasant technician. Seemed very knowledgeable. He was hired through my homecare program after just purchasing a house. It all started to go downhill When he tried to sell me an annual maintenance Program for my air conditioner. He quoted a deal that was actually double the market average. When I told him I would check other prices and he could leave his information he told me it was as soon as he leaves the deal is off. The deal was never on.

Arrived right on time and identified the issue right away. Emmanuel fixed the problem and made sure the unit was working properly before leaving.

Unsatisfactory service. Called them because Carrier sent their information as licensed technician to file for warranty coverage.The technician that came did not speak English so communication was through Google translate.He did not find the cause of the problem or give any solution. When asked about applying to Carrier his stories kept changing. The coil was dirty, the unit was not installed correctly and so on.The whole purpose of calling them was because unit was still under warranty.On top of that he charged a trip charge of $79 which we were never advised about when the appointment was made, and was a total waste.

So we had the team come out and fix the aircon, they changed the capacitor and seem to work but then stopped a little later. They came back quickly and sorted out the fan engine.Update: AC technician arrived as promised and fixed the fan. Thank you Manuel for your prompt work!

My AC motor was the issue, needed insurance approval for changing out the motor, it happened right away he was able to go ahead and change the motor. He made sure to check with his tool to make sure that cool air is coming out of all the events really appreciated him and his time did it fast and efficient would recommend his service.

Hector came over before the scheduled time as I requested and fixed our system in less than an hour. The mechanics who came before put in a wrong motor and capacitor, he explained the issue and gave us some offers to both have the system cleaned for a cheap price, and for a replacement in the future when we are ready. I was in desperate need for for the AC to get fixed and it kept being patched on patches. I recommend hector and this company and will continue working with them in the future especially when I’m ready for a replacement

Uptown did a whole house A/C install for me on Friday. The true test will be when the Houston summer starts. But, the install was very professional. I reviewed the furnace, evaporator coil and plenum install in the attic. I was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness and top level install work. The sealing of the unit looked like they had masked off the ducting before applying making a very neat and airtight seal. I appreciated the follow up of the sales staff and how they stayed in touch. Usually, with contractors your left wondering if they are still going to show up when they said they would. Sebastian texted me the day before to let me know at what time they would arrive on Friday. Also, the price was right. I received my Trane system, which is the only brand I was interested in purchasing, for what I feel was a fair price. They offer a great financing plan of 48 months 0% APR. You cannot beat that. I receive a new A/C and get to spend their money for 4 years. All in all, I was satisfied with the transaction I had with Uptown.

Hector did a great job showing up on time and getting things done in about an hour. A little bit of a language barrier but thanks to technology we overcame. It felt like a fair price to replace the capacitor, some little transistor things, and recharge the unit for about $700. It was also great that they were able to come within 24 hours of requesting service.

Mr. Emmanuel Olmos inspected the system and resolved the problem. He also gave frank advice about the 3 A/C systems and how I could save money. He was very informative and helpful.

These guys were fantastic, again! They came late in the day, and stayed on the job until 9:30pm on a Friday and a Saturday!!! They tested EVERYTHING until they found an elusive problem and solved it economically. My house is nice and toasty... Ill call them for sure again when I need thorough experts!

My tech, Manuel, came in this morning, with a quick turn around from when I sent in the service ticket, and fixed our a/c right up. Manuel was very competent in his trade and very professional. I highly recommend him and his company!

Uptown was sent to our home through our home warranty provider.The good:They had a very fast response time after contacting the warranty company about our system freezing up. All of the workers that came out were extremely nice and professional.The bad:They came out multiple times and finally found what the problem was which is understandable. They replaced the item then about a month later we started having problems again.We contacted Uptown and was told to contact our warranty company. We explained our policy was temporary and had expired. They would not even come out and check their work.We contacted a local company who inspected the system and found that the part Uptown replaced was leaking refrigerant. They said Uptown should cover the work since they did the repair. We contacted Uptown and they still would not come outWe called the local company back and they said minimum of $1200 to replace the part along with $250 more since Uptown never registered the part with the manufacturer. This also caused us to lose 5 years of warranty time on the part.The really bad! Once the local company came out and opened the system they found the problem was that Uptown did not make sure all of the fittings were tightened during the installation which was causing the problem. Mistakes happen but Uptown would not even come back and inspect their work. Causing us to pay over another $500 due to their mistake.For the reason of not backing up their work we will recommend them nor will be using them again.

Emmanuel olmos 0 % this technician came to my home, causing problems when he arrives to do his check the things that he advised me and said to me was not company policy. Also, when he left my home by AC stop cooling. I have to call your office. He returned my phone call but did not want to return to my home, I need to speak with someone pertaining to this technician. This is Mr. Francis. please be advised that this technician try to scam me, lit Freon out of my unit, exposed to check in my unit, which he wasn’t, but since he put his hands on it now

I had a bad leak in my attic in a nearly inaccesible area. Hector came in and got it taken care of in 15 minutes, no fuss. Highly recommended.
