Panchos Auto Electric

I went in to get my car checked and I appreciate that they were quick about it. However after they checked it and gave me the large quote I decided not to go with them and then they told me there was a $50 fee for checking the car. I believe any fees should be discussed initially before actually checking it, which they were not mentioned. Some people may not have had the money for this fee and there would definitely had been an issue.

It got to a point where I thought having my grandmothers 2007 Ford Five Hundred SEL was irrational until I decided to give my trust to the great people at Pancho’s Auto Electric in Harlingen.I traveled from Austin, TX and waited to confirm my grandparents car would be ready for her 64th wedding anniversary and even though it was a day late, it was worth the wait because not only did Frank and Maggie gain my trust and respect, but they gained a friend and a loyal customer. All the people including Pancho were all welcoming and friendly.He set up the expectations and was excellent in communicating with me the progress on my grandparents car. He made sure that every component on that car was in excellent condition before calling me and confirming the car was ready.If I ever have an electrical issue on any of my cars in the future, I know who to trust and where to go. The pricing was right and the words of honesty went a long way.Thank you all so much for bringing my favorite vehicle back to life. Took my 2013 Kia Optima in due to starter issues. They said it should be done by today. It wasnt but I wasnt upset about it. I figured since they had a lot of vehicles and they had to take off my starter and rebuild it. My car was ready the next day and it turns on perfect no issues ❤️🙏 thank you Frank

I was only suppose to pay $50 using extended warranty i ended up paying over $260. this place is the worst place to take you car.. they will find ways to make you pay more than what you have to.. and tell you it is what it is. They will tell your car will be ready in one week and will take two weeks or longer and then tell you to hurry up when its time to pick up your car. Lazy employees theyre high on something customer service is horrible leo and frank are uneducated do not take your car here.

Would not recommend at all. My Honda Odyssey was taken there to be repaired from another mechanic that could not figure out what was wrong with my vehicle after we had taken it to him for a noise it was making. Unfortunately, the original mechanic couldn’t even get it to turn on after working on it. Pancho’s came highly recommended and with all the great reviews I figured these people would have it up and running in no time. These people have had my Odyssey van for over 4 weeks. Every time my husband or I call we’re constantly getting the run around. They’re always “waiting for the part” or “just ordered the part”… I think 1 month is plenty of time for someone to order and receive a part that is needed. I’m a pretty patient person, but this is just ridiculous. And if they couldn’t figure out what’s going on, it would be nice if they would be honest enough to tell us that so we can take it somewhere else or figure out or next move.

This place deserves 0 stars.. take your fake apology and bullshit reply. You dont care about your customers. Youre full of lies. Dont take your car here unless you want them to make up bullshit repairs to charge you more money. Car still not running properly after they supposedly did repairs. Worst shop in harlingen

They have the worst customer service! Took my red car in to the shop to be looked at, and we have car max insurance! They held on to the car for a week, then called us to say the car was ready. They said they couldn’t do anything on the car, and charged over $300 dollars. My car still is not working. Having the car max insurance it should have already been covered. We just went back to talk to the manager about being charged and the manager is “busy”. Honestly all of the employees are very rude and you can tell this place is poorly ran. They need new management the way this place is with their customers. Thankfully I was able to dispute the charge and report Carmax to them to let them now about what is being done here! Don’t recommend at all do your research before coming here, because they will just scam you for money.

They were able to switch a relay that was activating my rear air conditioning system when the bass in my speaker box would hit. They didnt take long, and the cost was reasonable. Thank you guys

This happened to a family member of mine :not the place to go if you’re elderly or a women! they DO NOT respect women and will do things to your card without telling you what’s happening, we called for a referral and they said they’d charge 250 for an alternator to be fixed , after the service he mentioned it was the battery and charged way above the price said. They continued to say if we didn’t pay we counldnt receive the car. and when we were getting the money together the lady at the desk continued to be rude and grabbed the purse took all the change and sent us away. HORRIBLE service. If my dad had went it would’ve cost less and they would’ve made sure to communicate.

They were extremely helpful. We needed to be in San Antonio for my daughter’s treatments when our alternator went out. We called them and it was done quickly. Thank you so much for your help.

Brought my jaguar xf in for a transmission repair and they ended up going to the dealership since they couldn’t do the job and when I got my car back my expansion tank had a crack that ended up leaking out coolant from them working on it and denied that they caused the damage and that it was brought in like that but I clearly remember my car not having a cooling leak before so ended up having to replace it myself. I do not recommend bringing in your vehicle to them.

Wonderful family owned business! Friendly and knowledge. I had a check engine light start blinking on my way home from the store so I went right to Panchos and they were so nice and understanding and were able to fix my car right then! Reasonably priced and excellent service. Would highly recommend!!

Ive taken my vehicle here twice. Both times I have been amazed with how quickly the requested repairs were completed. The prices have always been more than fair, and Frank was willing to work with me to help get the work covered through my warranty company (a tedious task indeed). They have earned my business for all my vehicle needs.

My van needed the compressor to the AC. They were outstanding and the owner didnt have to accept the way my repair insurance handled it, but they did. They probably lost about $500 on having to accept that the insurance send them the compressor. Insurance really sucked. It took longer than expected but not because of Panchos. Yet my van sat taking the much needed space at the shop waiting for the insurance morons to do their job. It only took a days work to get my van back. My family and I are very grateful and will recommend their shop to everyone. 👍👍👍

Unfortunately We are out $500 from an inaccurate analysis and labor that didnt solve the issue. Having to call constantly for updates for 2 weeks when they said they would update, and didnt t. Yall please start looking out for people the way youd like to be looked out for. Were very understanding people and $500 and 2 weeks was a lot to waste

Rude customer service .. lady in the front needs to go… first and last time I will step foot into that place. And that’s because this place came highly recommended but with that lady in the front that doesn’t seem to want to be there and or help; will detour business elsewhere.

I left my Jeep with them for a week before they got to it but when done it ran good. Except my review mirror that has lights and a compass on it no longer works. I told them about it. Theyre to busy. I drove Home crying and when I got Home my Jeep overheated. I am confused and heart broken that they did this. I called Ponchos and they going to have come back Tuesday. My faith is restored in them.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I took my vehicle for a diagnostic thinking the results were going to cost me more. I spoke with the technician and told him what was going on. I was having an issue with the brake light turning on and signaling my turn. They were able to diagnose the problem, which ended up a code in the BCM. They erased it, and my problem was solved. Thank you, Panchos Auto Electric. You saved me lots of money, which I was not ready to spend

This place was recommended to me because something was draining my battery. They were able to assess the problem and fix it. I dropped it off on Friday and had it back on Tuesday morning.

I took my restomod 1955 Ford F-100 to Panchos for a custom job that included installing a push start button to replace the key ignition. The only instructions I gave them was to make it look good and clean. They did a good job and the button works perfectly. I highly recommend this shop to anybody. They do the job right and take their time to ensure quality. Thank you Panchos!!

Towed my car to have them rebuild the alternator, it worked for 7 days then the alternator goes out again, I asked them about it and what they would charge me and he said he had to look at it. I just checked all the belts and they seem fine. The alternator is out again

The service they provide is good, so is the price. Unfortunately the customer service at the reception is not, this has been an issue every time we have been there. I know the lady is an important part of the business, but it will help alot to hire a nice person to welcome the customers. As for the service they provide no complaint at all.

I have spent hundreds at other shops trying to get ny mustang convertible top and other issues. They are pretty awesome great work and extremely fair pricing.

Did repair the problem, but there was no real attention to detail.. usually expect that when being charged for a job that the end result will be like it was before it was broken.. this is not the case here.. overcharge you for a shoddy repair job. When confronted about it, was told it works doesnt it? No real desire to make it right.. If service is an important thing to you, might want to avoid Panchos...

I brought my van in to have the alternator replaced. Everything worked fine for a few weeks and then the alternator went out. Not very happy.

These people were great. They found out the problem to my truck and they fixed it. I am very happy and thankfull.

Drove off fine. As soon as I got home my car locked up again. Opened the hood and found a tool wedged in between AND they left the fuse box open. Now my car wont even shift into neutral and its an electrical issue

Had my alternator rebuilt today brought it home put it on along with new battery. Then took it down to have system checked out to find out alternator is still bad. So now i have to take it back off and figure something else out. So car got impounded and now cant afford to get it out of impound. It was a waist of $65.00 to have it rebuilt

Took my vechicle in for one thing .. So called burnt starter. They rebuilt it and charged almost 300$ for a 60$ part and left me with major issues .. They ran my vechicle until it had no more gas . i droped my vechicle off with more then half gas .. Got it back on e and ontop of a burnt out motor ..Beware may seem friendly but will charge you an arm and a leg for a part that cpst no more then 70$

Took them an unusual challenge with my minibus AC electrical. They made good timely repairs and communicated well. Not cheap but Will use them again.

Heard they do great work on finding shorts on electrical wiring in harnesses . I have a van there that guess they to busy to check on it yet

Alternator in our 2002 Foretravel with Cummins 400ISL failed on the highway, Removed the failed alternator and took it into Panchos around noon and they had it rebuilt before 5:30pm that same day, and at a good price.Thanks Panchos!

I brought my 1928 generator for repair because it was not charging the battery correctly. they managed to destroy the generator completely and did not fix the damage they had done

I took a starter to get repaired They put parts that were 24 votes not for 12 .Cant go back-to get it fixed because they are on vacation had to take it to maggies electric they did an awesome job there .And they show me that what they had did wrong waiting for them to come-back from vacation so I can show Em what they did wrong Maggies electric gave me a list what they did .

My experience at this place was very unpleasant. They were recommended to me because they are good at electrical problems in cars. My AC Air Conditioning was not working but I told them that I had already taken it to the air specialist and that everything was fine, it was just a problem with the cars computer. He told me that I had to leave the car with him because he was going to close soon. Then he told me, okay, Im going to check it and he got in the car for 5 minutes, he put a computer on it and instead of looking at the computer, he watched a ball game since they have a television where they fix things and dont concentrate on what they are doing. Then he gave me a receipt charging me $25.50 for 5 minutes and it said AC not working. I told him why he was charging me if I had already told him it didnt work. I charge it to my card, and for me they are thieves charging for something they did to me.

Completely professional; Attentive and coordinated, they fixed the box that supplies the light to connect to the trailer of my 2018 Toyota truck. Not even the agency treated me like they did (at the Agency they ignored me) so many thanks to the Panchos team; matter settled.
