R&R Air Conditioning

Weve never used R & R before, but with its recent change in ownership, I reached out directly to the new owner to address a problem with our heater in the frigid 20-degree weather. Jimmy called me to determine exactly the type of service we needed and booked us the first available appointment. When Jeff arrived, he was prompt, provided quick and courteous service, and explained the fix in detail in person as well as on the ticket. Our house was already warmer within the hour he left. We were happy with our experience with R & R and are happy to recommend them to family and friends!

Sandy and her team worked with my family to make sure we had cold AC during this hot Texas summer. I’ll definitely refer R & R to family and friends.

Edited to add: I see that R&Rs best response is to argue about what happened. Im not interested in an argument, but I do think its important for people shopping for an AC company to be informed. We did not decline the leak check, it simply was not mentioned by your technician. He wrote on our receipt that he checked for a leak, but did not communicate that verbally, nor did he communicate that there was a leak found. If he had, wed have been able to solve the problem much sooner. So, to sum up, R&R employees do not communicate clearly. They were not able to identify a major problem. I would not recommend that anyone use their services.If I could give zero stars, I would have. We had R&R out to check on our air conditioner and we’re told it was completely out of Freon. We paid R&R to charge it up. Felippe said he checked and everything looked good other than that. A month later, our AC wasn’t working properly again so we had them back out. Felippe then noticed that we had a leak so bad that all of the Freon he put in there a month ago had leaked out. I’m not sure how a professional could have missed a leak that severe in the first place. We talked to Sandy several times and asked them to work with us on the price since their negligence led to over $600 being leaked out in a month and she was unwilling to own up to their mistake or help correct it. We got several other opinions that all confirmed that there was no way that leak had started in under a month. We ultimately went with another company to fix the problem for us and will never do business with R&R again. We were so disappointed in the lack of professionalism and skill. If you want things fixed correctly, call someone else.

We purchased a used unit August 2022. It stopped working May 2023. We got maybe 3 months of real use out of it. Fine. No big deal. Its a used unit. No warranty. We totally understand. We purchased another used unit to replace it. It made weird noises immediately on install, and quit working in 28 days.Tried to have a conversation about it - flat out, they sold us scrap metal in the shape of a compressor. They refused any responsibility. All sales final.No problem. I will do my best to make sure everyone knows to not do business with you, and will take my business elsewhere. Weve enjoyed our new HVAC supplier much better and have already replaced two (of 70) units with all new systems.

Wanted a total new hvac system due to age of our current one (31 years old, condenser 15 years old) and knew we were running on borrowed time for the unit. Jeff came out gave us a thorough and quick estimate that was 5K less than a big name company. I gave them the go ahead and the next day they were out and completed the install by 5pm.Very satisfied with the installation and the communication with everyone at R & R. Will continue to use them for all my A/C service needs.D. Knight

Huge thanks to the R&R team! Yesterday it was 103 degrees and our AC went out at about 5:30pm, these guys were out within an hour after us calling, got to the root cause, did a tune up and the cost was very reasonable especially for an after hours call. Would definitely recommend them!!

Highly recommend R & R ac, great customer service, the service tech was on time and super detailed and explained to me every step of what he was doing. Honest company, very pleased. I will definitely use them again in the future.

We had AC problems on the fourth of July and called R & R. They replaced the starter capacitor and got the unit running that day. However, because our unit was original builder equipment and over 17 years old I asked for an estimate for a complete new system. They provided me a very reasonable cost to replace my system and installed the unit three days later.Their installation team was professional, on time, respectful of my property and had the unit running be mid afternoon. They hauled away my old unit and cleaned up afterward. They communicate well and there were no surprises.They are a small family owned business and take pride in their work and reputation.I would use them again and highly recommend them.

I have nothing but good things to say - Sandy is great! She always does her best to answer questions and provide solutions for any problems which arise. Philip was quick to arrive after our initial request for services. He was very personable and patient with our children as they questioned what he was doing. He diagnosed the problem and gave us the quote for a repair - after we agreed on the proposal he left and returned with a window unit to keep us cool while we awaited the parts for replacement. On the day of the repair, the men who arrived were very polite and got right to work - when damage to our property occurred, they came to us to admit the mistake and made sure it was repaired before they left that day. Will def call them in the future!

We were told our bill would be $600 after 1 hour of work. We agreed after discussing the price of service and the new hard start we needed. We were also getting new thermostats (the Honeywell T4). These thermostats are $40 on Amazon. They charged us $540 for two. Im not kidding. Ive never left a review before but our final bill was $1,500. It was fraudulent.

When my AC broke last night they were able to come out and fix it right away at my earliest convenience.They responded fast and were so much more affordable than any of the other places I called.Both the lady I scheduled the apointment with and the tech were extremely friendly, helpful and professional.The repair and diagnostics took less than an hour and was very affordable!Overall great experience!

I cant say enough great things about R&R. I had a poorly installed Geothermal system at my new house I moved into. They came in and gave me a full assessment to make some changes to may the system more efficient. RR installed the efficiency the new updates to my Geothermal system on 12/31. The next month my bill was 30% less. They did great work and are very responsive.

I received quotes for a new hvsc system from 3 other purveyors. Then I called R&R who had installed a system for a relative. The quote I received from R&R was thousands of dollars less expensive and was for a better system. When I called for a free estimate I did not have to contend with the nonsense from the other purveyors about a $75 to $100 charge to evaluate the situation and spend time telling them I did not need an evaluation, I needed a quote. Although I was initially concerned about the adage you get what you pay for and if it seems too good to be true, it probably is, I contracted with R&R. They were professional and efficient and very hard workers, having to be in the attic all day on a hot day, dismantling the old system and installing the new one. They followed up with a phone call to make sure I was satisfied. I generally dont recommend anything to anyone, but in the case of R&R my advice is to get the other quotes first and then call R&R. I think you will be glad you did.

Our A/C went out late last night and temps got up to 80 degrees inside the house. I called after 8pm and they picked up immediately and offered to send someone out last night if necessary. I declined but they sent Felipe Puente out first thing this morning. He found the problem quickly and was able to get the system cooling less than an hour after showing up. We were only charged for the 2 parts he had to replace, the service call, and 1 hour of labor. Total cost was way less than we expected, and Felipe went above and beyond and even cleaned off our return duct grates while he was here. Service was outstanding from start to finish and well definitely call R&R first anytime we have an issue!

Just had one of my units replaced. Felipe Puente, the lead installer for R & R is very professional and did everything he said he would. He even went the extra mile and came back after I bought a Wi-Fi Thermostat to work with my new system and installed it for me at no charge. This company really cares and wants satisfied customers. I am a satisfied customer now and will call them when I need service and when its time to replace my other unit.

I called for the AC maintenance today because my AC was not working. We called the AC people around 5:15 pm and the guy came after like 20 minutes. He went to check everything was cool but he was gone to the roof for a long time. When my husband went to check he was chillin’ around in the car. We said nothing and asked for the bill and it included $445 and the time for he arrive was 5:10. I told him that we didnot even called your company at that time and he got nervous and started changing the bill. Too disappointed on the service. Never calling for service over here again in my life.

On Wednesday, October 21, 2021. R & R installers removed my old HVAC and installed new ones. The installers were exceptional in getting the project complete from start to finished. I have worked with R & R Air Conditioning since the companies inception in 1995. Every service performed on my systems by R & R from the companies inception has been with professionalism and through.

We live in Highland Park and it seems that everyone that provides services has a higher price when they come here. My sister recommended R & R, theyre the best!!! I have used them for several years now & have never had anything but great experiences with them. Not only do they do a great job at a fair rate, they pointed out another problem that was unrelated to there service, but saved me thousands. This company is a prime example of how businesses SHOULD conduct business. Two thumbs, way up!!

We used R&R to come check the unit and determine if the A/C was truly cooling as it should be. We let the company know that our A/C was working though it was not as cool as the thermostat read. Luis came to our house and immediately wanted to clean the condenser coils. This was great with us though we asked for someone to come and check temperatures around the house in an effort to determine if we needed to balance the air or move a thermostat. Luis told us that his infrared laser temperature gun was being recalibrated and he would not be able to check the temperature. Unfortunately, cleaning condenser coils has nothing to do with why it feels 78 when the thermostat reads 70. And the only tool which would be helpful (and seems integral to this profession) wasn’t available. Unfortunately, we spent $120 to clean condenser coils and nothing was done about the problem that we called for.

Rick from R&R arrived within hours of making the service call. They were quick and gave a fair price. Im happy with the service I received and will look to them first for repairs and replacement in the future.

We used R&R several times in adding ducts to an addition and servicing our AC. Everything is working well. 4 stars only because we had to have them come back out to rework our vents because the air flow wasn’t working well. Other than that, great work!

I recommend R&R Air Conditioning to all my friends and neighbors. They just installed an new ac system in my home and I could not be happier with there service. They showed up on time, protected my carpet, and kept the jobsite clean. Great job.

This company is so professional, so reliable, and I trust them. I own two warehouses with 5 units, which they have been servicing for 6 years, and they are always prompt, responsive, and always fair. Completely recommend!

They know their stuff. Could be cheaper, but so could other companies. At least R&R knows their stuff and offer reliable and prompt service.

They responded immediately when no one else would in freezing snow and ice to fix my family’s gas heater. Great customer service and reasonably priced.

They were able to come same day and fix problem. Friendly and knowledgeable they will be my new go-to AC company!
