I just had a new A/C and heat system installed by Bates. David did not just go by the size that was already there, he measured the inside square footage of every room to verify the size of the unit I needed. The crew that did the install worked very hard and steady to complete the job in a day. My heat unit is in the attic with limited space but they made it happen and did a really clean install.I highly recommend Bates for anyone who needs any A/C or heating work done.

I called Bates Heating and Air on Fathers Day 2024 which also was the weekend about one of my rentals. My renter called and said her A/C was out. I went over and in fact both inside and outside units were not working. David the owner had his boys over for fathers day but walked me through troubleshooting the system. After his suggestions finding the 5 amp fuse was blown behind a cover panel inside the main unit. I went and got a new fuse and installed same. Both units came on and after a week A/C still working great. Thank you David for caring about your clients, no matter what day it is !!!!! I would highly recommend David and his crew if you need either A/C or Heating issues.

Hey theses guys were on time professional and personable. The AC guys we were using said we needed a new system. And referred us to their company’s sales guy. I used this company in 2022 for an indoor/outdoor, new installation. They kept me informed throughout the whole process. Yesterday my ac quit working. They cane out this morning and had it going in less than an hour. I for sure recommend this company. Great people!!

Would not consider calling anyone other than Bates Hvac for A C repair. Last summer and during this long heatwave, they have saved the day. Other companies in the area do not work on or have coolant for a 20 yr old unit. Bates took the time and patience to find a solution, while handling situation affordably. When I do replace current system, they are my go to team. Their quote for a new unit was better than other two I received for a 5 ton Carrier or Trane.

After driving past the place many times in route in Granbury, I decided to call since my air condition freon was out. Someone answered the phone and was able to come the same day--which was amazing. The charge was very reasonable. And he absolutely was honest and knew what he was doing for he was the owner Mr. Bates of the company and in it for 27 years. Outstanding service and my husband was very pleased with his work. He found 2 pinhole leaks outside in the unit and was finished in a little over an hour. We slept really good and have since he fixed everything. Highly recommend him to all my friends and family.

We received a bid for a new a/c unit with a heat pump from another local company for $2,000 MORE than Bates offered; the unit that company offered was NOT a top of the line brand. We called Bates and they came to give us a bid within the hour. we were scheduled for installation 4 days later; the unit TOP of the Line (Lennox). Installation was completed the same day and has performed proficiently from inception. Great service!

Bates is for real! Fast, honest, and diligent. David looked at our unit for replacement and determined he wanted to try and repair it first. After 15 minutes he announced that we wouldnt need to replace the unit today and that it was already cooling again. He charged me for a service call only and then quoted me some pricing for future replacement. After talking to 2 other companies we would be crazy not to use Bates. Do yourself a favor and call David. Then go to Dairy Queen and get yourself a reward for making such a wise decision.

Ive used Bates Heating & Air for a couple of years now for annual maintenance. David, the owner, prides himself in giving excellent service and advice. He has never tried to sell us extra parts or a new system at every visit, like others have before. He does not mark up his capacitors when they need to be changed, again like others have in the past.

Our A/C stopped working over night. I was terrified that we wouldn’t have a cool house for days..... I have heard horror stories like this before....and who was going to come out on a Sunday?? And before 10am?? Well David Bates with Bates A/C is who! Seriously can’t thank him enough! Had a call back by 8:15am, said he would be here within an hour....and he was! We were back up and running with cool air blowing by 9:45am, did I mention it was Sunday!! He even took time to educate us on the system so we now know how to better care for it! Bates heating and air came out to replace one of my HVAC units it was a tough one to replace going through what I would consider a mouse hole in the ceiling they had to take the complete unit apart to get it up in the hole and put it back together once up in the attic. They did it without complaining and did a professional job there was a slight hiccup after the install so I called David Bates the owner and spoke with him and at 8am the next morning his service technician was out to take care of the problems and he was right behind him 30 minutes later to make sure everything was done right. The problem was so minor that I normally wouldn’t mention it but it was just the fact that he was out so quick and so concerned it made me want to relay this quality to all those who are considering using him if he doesn’t do it right or if there is a hiccup he takes care of it and makes it perfect without delay . I used to have air conditioning license in OK, but due to heath reason I couldnt change out my unit in the attic by myself. I call to see if Bates Air Condition could replace the AC coil as I couldnt find the Trane coil. Bates gave me a price to replace coil but Trane made it out of reach to replace it. Bates quoted me a price to change out the indoor unit with a new coil, that was about half of what the company here in Granbury had quote 3 years ago to change it out. Which would be higher know. It wasnt much more to change out the furnace and the condenser.In short I had Bates to replace the entire unit cheaper than to do just the indoor unit with the other large company. I dont think you can beat his prizes.He told me he would be out and replace my unit the next day. All work performed in a professional manner. Him and his crew were very polite and courteous. Work completed before another company even brother to return my call.Highly recommend them for anyone that need repair, service, or replacement. Excellent company to do business with.

After a not so positive experience with a couple of the other local HVAC companies we had Bates install a new Lennox system for us in our small commercial building. They replaced two old units with a single new unit, new duct work, corrected a lot of other issues with the design of the old system. Bates was everything you could ask for... honest, thorough, great communication, took the time to explain everything, professional and all at a much more reasonable cost than the other guys. If you need HVAC work in the Granbury area I highly recommend you give Bates a call.

I know this is cliché, but I do NOT ever write reviews for people. Horrible, I know, because I have had good customer service before now. That said, this company and, specifically David, has made me felt the need to express how pleased I am with his customer service and work. David came out after following another contractor who told me that my whole ac needed to be replaced. I waited on the first guy with no ac for an entire week, and finally got fed up. David got called at 6:00 p.m., and was there the following morning. He had my ac fixed in a couple of hours. David is honest, hard working, and I could not be more thankful that I found my new ac guy.

We have had a problem for several months. Our furnace was running all of the time. It was found last week and we tried to go from heat to air. The heat never changed to air. There were all kinds of problems. Our electric bill was high cause the blower had been running for months. Donnie came in and fixed everything. Our unit is 4 years old. We are happy. Also our thermostat was off by 5 degrees. It read 69 but really was 74. I will use Bates for anything we need.
