Georgetown Air Conditioning & Heating

Beware! This is not the same company as before. New owners now have incompetent staff who dont have even the most rudimentary understanding of HVAC. Staff refused and was unable to verify the service for which I had asked, cleaning my furnace. They all claimed to have to check with their manager before giving any answer. Then they gave me bs answers about if they were going to clean my furnace. I think the owners must be in another country and that theres no boss checking up on staff. They certainly lost a new customer this morning.

John was wonderful. He greeted me courteously, put on shoe covers before entering and maintained a professional demeanor throughout the service call. His knowledge of the replacement (new model Lennox S40) allowed him to disconnect the old thermostat and replace it with the new efficiently. He was patient with me as I fumbled my way through the thermostat registration process. He guided us through the thermostats operation, answering all our questions. We were thoroughly satisfied with his customer service attitude and the skills he brought to the job.

My air conditioning system was failing this past summer. Unlike some that tell you that you need a new system, Scott, the owner, gave me a MUCH more affordable option. And as busy as they were during this incredibly hot summer, they worked me in very quickly. Yesterday, when I noticed my heat was coming on, they were able to get to me in the afternoon.This company cares about providing customers what they need, and is NOT going to charge you for repairs or try and sell you equipment that you DON’T need!

Been using this company for 12 years and have never been disappointed. I have company in and my AC was not cooling. I called first thing Monday morning and John came out at 3:00 p.m. Everything was up and running within an hour. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Thanks for a great experience!

GT AC and Heating has done a great job for us over the years. They have an excellent technician who we have been thrilled to work with. Blake is an incredibly personable young man and very knowledgeable. He has replaced two programmable thermostats for us along with handling our maintenance and filter changes over the last couple of years. He is a true pleasure to deal with. Additionally calling into their business, the receptionist/scheduler is always friendly and accommodating. Great company!!! Keep up the great service.

I feel ripped off! The service technician was completing a pre-paid preventative maintenance call. He showed me I needed a capacitor for the fan motor for the air handler unit in the attic. He installed the capacitor in less than 10 minutes. I was charged $265.90. My subsequent research showed that the cost of such a capacitor was less than $20. The service call had already been paid for so the charge was not for the service call. I believe the service technician was correct in telling me I needed the new capacitor and I agreed; he was fine. That Georgetown AC would charge $265.90 for a simple part on a pre-paid service call is a rip-off.

Ive waited a long time to write this review, in the hope that the owner would follow through on his many promises and correct the issues in the new system he installed in 2021. This never happened so I had to go to another company, where I discovered that my system was never registered by GT Heat and Air (as they had stated they would). So instead of a 10 yr warranty from Bryant, it would now be a 5 yr since it needed to be registered within 90 days of install/purchase. Additionally, I never received a receipt for the purchase, so I had to go by a confirmation email so the new company could fight for the warranty in my behalf. We should never have been sold this system for our house, since it would not operate in the most efficient manner - nor was it even installed correctly. We ended up finally getting everything fixed and sorted out by our new company - who persevered in fixing the issues for us. GT Heating and air makes many promises, which are not kept. The follow through is awful. The only positive was Melinda - the office manager - who was very kind and tried her best to get our issues resolved. Techs come and go, but dont stay with this company - and many are not proficient at the job. I tried for over the past year and a half to give them every chance to make things right, but I finally gave up. We spent a lot of money on a higher end system that was not suited for our home. At least we now have an awesome Heating and AC company that follows through on their word with actions. I would not recommend GT A/C and Heat.

I called Georgetown Air yesterday fora routine maintenance checkup. Within 4 hours John was at my door. His work was thorough and professional. He waited afterwards just to make sure that everything was working perfectly. So glad I’ve been with this company for 8 years.

Overall, the service was great. I was told the repairman would be here between 2-4. Around 4:45, I gave them a call because no one had shown up. I was worried it would hit 5:00 and I’d be rescheduled. When I called the office, I was promptly given an explanation for the tardiness and a new time. (Texas heat is real and he has been held up on a previous job.) Both times I contacted their office: Scheduling the repair and contacting to check on arrival time, the staff was incredibly friendly, thorough, competent, and communicative.The technician showed up and immediately had an idea of what the problem was. He got started and fixed the problem. The clogged drain is something we’ve experienced before. He suggested a permanent solution to the problem and even though I wasn’t ready to make that decision yet, he clearly communicated all costs, steps, and took the time to walk us through everything he had done….twice.Appreciate Zach’s professionalism and understanding. Will use this company again.

Great company to work with. They installed a Split Unit Heat Pump in the enclosed back patio. The installation team did a great job. They were knowledgeable and cleaned after themself. I recommend Georgetown AC & Heating without hesitation.

Theyre friendly, professional, courteous, quick and responsive! Theyre amazing! They had Rick on site within 45 minutes of my calling them, as they apologized for the delay! and he identified the problem and replaced the parts and had us back up and running in less than 15 minutes! I can not recommend them highly enough!

The company as a whole is great! our blower went out and instead of waiting days they had Frank, the technician who did the service ( which was awesome) drive all the way to San Antonio same day and he installed same day!!! Phenomenal !

I just had my AC unit serviced in preparation for summer. I had made an appointment back in early January for last week in March. Sure enough LT, the Georgetown Air Conditioning & Heating technician, arrived right on schedule. He did an outstanding job, checked everything and even cleaned the compressor fins. Georgetown AC & Heating exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for a reliable, knowledgeable AC company, then I highly recommend Georgetown Air Conditioning & Heating.

I was very disappointed with the service--I never had experienced the Humidity problem in my house until after we installed the new system 3 years ago. Problem is the system reduces the humidity too much. It was adjusted shortly after installation and was some better. However, it needs further adjustment and not a new $3,000. piece of equipment.

Our technician Zach was very thorough, took his time with our issue, was very clean and professional. They were able to get to our residence same day to repair our unit. Zach was very clear in his explanations of the our problem, as well as possible solutions. There arose a miscommunication regarding the bill about what part of the services were billed hourly vs a flat rate. The owner Scott called me back, himself. He genuinely cares about each customer and their experience, as well as running his business with transparency and honesty. He listened carefully to my concerns and together we were able to come to a resolution. I will definitely recommend Georgetown Heating and Air and will use them in the future.

They had no record of a service contract with my elderly parents, despite telling me they had us on file last summer l, and me sending them a copy of the contract from about 3 years ago.They then repeatedly kept trying to sell me a new one multiple times via text, email, phone.

Absolutely love this company. Scott, owner, came and explained all options and pricing. So, genuinely caring and personable. The team of installers were careful and so efficient. The tech inspector was very thorough.. Last but not least, the office ladies were so nice and communicative. I cant say enough on how grateful I am for finding them. Highly recommend!!

Georgetown AC was recommended by many of my neighbors and so when I was in need GAC came to my aide. They are thorough, exceptionally good at communicating the problem and providing possible solutions to choose from. HVAC is an investment in my home and I believe I invested well by choosing Georgetown AC.

We had an emergency AC problem on a Saturday. My call was answered by a real person who assured me a technician would soon be on his way. Great company. I recently bought a house and put our system on semi-annual maintenance plan. When they did the first maintenance they told me I had a leak. I had them do a leak test and sure enough I had a leak in the coil. They replaced the coil. Great customer service throughout. Always on time. Replied to my various inquires in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them.

Truly one of the best companies and team of professionals Ive ever worked with. The unit in our attic was over 30 years old and needed replacing. Scott and his team quickly assessed the problem with heating and cooling our home, developed several options for us, and quickly went to work installing the new unit and ductwork. The dedication of the team to get our unit installed and working was amazing. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company and team to my family and friends. Colby was very friendly and professional. He quickly diagnosed our problem and the two installers fixed the problem. The two installers were also great.

Im not one to write reviews but after almost 4 weeks of getting the run around and charging $125 for the initial service call, I decided to warn others so you dont waste your time waiting. I called once a week to get an update only to be told I would be getting a call back and a quote e-mailed each time. No calls or e-mails just broken promises as to doing the repair even after I made it clear just to put me on the schedule to fix it regardless of the cost. There are too many other good companies out there that shoot straight even if they dont have time. Be careful paying their $125 service call and then getting no service.....

Our 9 year old air conditioner totally died the day we returned home from vacation. Temperature inside our home jumped to 86 degrees. I called several companies only to hear that it would be at least 2 weeks before they could get to us. Then I asked my neighbor if he knew a good AC repair company and he told me he was on a maintenance plan with Georgetown Air Conditioning & Heating and that they provided great service. I was pleasantly surprised when I called them and they said they would juggle their schedule to get to me by 2:00 pm the next day. Our service technician, Fernando, showed up promptly and diagnosed and fixed the problem in less than an hour. He was courteous, professional, and obviously competent. I was so impressed I signed up for their maintenance plan and even got a 10% discount on my repair. These guys are terrific! I would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC repair or routine maintenance anywhere in their coverage area! Far exceeded my expectations!!!

While doing routine maintenance of our furnace the Georgetown Air Conditioning &Heating technician (Blake) discovered carbon monoxide leakage. He was very concerned and explained our options. I obtained a detector and monitored the CO levels for several days. The levels continued to rise so we opted to replace the furnace. I notified Georgetown AC and within two days a new furnace was installed. Georgetown AC was responsive and reasonably priced. Thank also to Blake who is very thorough, attentive and cares about his customers. Great job!

I wish I could give Scott and his team more than 5 stars. My recent A/C replacement ended up being a very complex job. But they persevered through unforeseen complications with professionalism and some of the best customer service Ive ever experienced, in the midst of their busiest season. Fernando and Melinda are seriously the best and true stand-outs in their level of customer care! Georgetown Air Conditioning & Heating has more than earned my loyalty. Weve had Georgetown AC out several times. They have prolonged the life of our outside AC unit, keeping us from a very expensive replacement cost. We actually called them after another company said all they could do was a full replacement. Georgetown AC has fast, reliable, professional and friendly techs that treat our time and property with respect and care. Highly recommend them for any AC repair.

What is scarier than have a unit go out when your under a heat dome whatever that is? Anyway, it be hot. Luckily, I had purchased my unit for Georgetown AC & Heating. Melinda answered my early Saturday morning call right away and within a few hours, I was up and running, a capacity replacement included in the warranty. In Texas, in July, you have to have an AC guy you can count on. I found mine.

This company is definitely a 5 star company. We were saved several days of misery by their prompt service. Blake came out on 7/19/22 and verified that the inside blower motor of our HVAC had stopped working. To get us through the night, Blake temporarily installed a portable air conditioning unit that cooled the bedroom. This portable unit wasn’t one of those low efficiency evaporative cooler types, but a real A/C that expelled the exhaust through an outside window, with a duct and adapter panels. I was very impressed that the company would loan equipment like this. The next day, Blake returned with a new blower motor and our house A/C was running in about an hour. While in the attic, Blake was working in 122 deg temps, as measured by an attic thermometer. Kudos to Blake for enduring the heat and getting our unit repaired in a timely manner.

First, would I use them again for a new install - yes. I will also sign-up for their maintenance contract now that the two free initial maintenance visits have been used.Overall Georgetown AC has been very responsive to any issues that I have had. I had two completely new installs at my house. One went flawlessly. The other had issues. which I am giving Georgetown AC the benefit of doubt that the issues were related to quality issues from Trane. Regardless the second install did have issues. Restating what I said earlier, Georgetown AC has been very responsive in resolving the issues. They never left me feeling that I was not important to them.The primary service technicians that have been to my house, Blake and Zac, have worked to make sure I was happy before they left. Zac even resolved an Ecobee issue which was unrelated to the work Georgetown AC had performed.

Zach was very professional and also friendly. He took the time explain the various steps he was taking to inspect our heating system. He also flushed our hot water heater. We will use Georgetown Air Conditioning again.

The employee worked very efficiently and quickly! He was very knowledgeable about the services performaned for his job and updated me about my system. He even offered to change my filters !I highly recommend this company. I have used them for the pastfew years!

Zack arrive at my home and anounced himself and who he was. Gave an explanation of why he was here and what his intent was in servicing the home heating system. Zach went and did the service and upon giving me a follow up of his findings, it was beloved that a replacement capacitor was needed. He advised that it should be replaced. The replacement was completed. Zack was a fine young man to have servicing are heating system.

They came out to look at the HVAC unit that has no pressure.Technician verifies no pressure but when retrieving nitrogen from van says they dont have enough nitrogen to find a leak. Says I should just get another $3000 unit.Tells me hell be back with nitrogen so he can do the job. Swipes my card and takes off before I can even ask for a receipt. Never even tells me the charge!I took a peek at the unit and theres is a visible crack/leak in the copper pipe leading into the compressor. Amazing that I can find it and the tech could not.That was last week, and they still havent returned or even attempted to contact me.Would never recommend.

Poor communications, follow up and scheduling for basic HVAC summer and winter check up. After repairs it took two additional visits to resolve issues and still identified more things to address! Tried to contact the manufacture and they would not even respond to email requests. Talked to the warranty department multiple times of the past two months with no follow up calls. I do not recommend this HVAC business unless you want to keep paying them for services!Update: Office manager called and is going to address situation and bring a senior technician out to assess. I will update this review afterwards.

Scheduled service was done on schedule. Technician gave us usefulinformation about filters that we can use to match our needs. We didnot know about Top Hat filters. In general very knowledgeable, and notintent upon selling us additional services.

Called around 2:30 pm told to expect tech to arrive by 4pm. Tech showed up at 3pm. Spent considerable effort to help with my R V ac. Sadly he could not help because the R V System is a sealed unit and he did not want to attempt to open it as he had no prior experience with this type of system. still,he tried!Great experience with an excellent company!

Doesnt it always happen? It gets hot your a/c unit stops working. I called Georgetown A/C in the afternoon and I was surprised when they told me they would be out the next day. What a great group of guys that worked on my a/c system. Unfortunately they had to order a coil but it came in the next evening and they were out the next day to fix my a/c unit. I highly recommend this company.

The Georgetown A/C repair technician, Zach, arrived on time. He was courteous and knowledgeable. He trouble shot the problem and repaired my A/C unit. He completed the job within 45 minutes. Needless to say, I am very satisfied.

My air-conditioner stopped working the night before. I called at approximately 8 am and a technician arrived by 8:30 am. He worked on my unit and had the issue resoled by 9am.

My response to owner’s response: Thank you for my refund.Original post: I had no problem with my AC or heating and initially sought out this company for a twice yearly Service Maintenance Plan, that cost me $147, paid upfront. The technician at the first visit told me the capacitor needed replacing and I paid an additional $177.30 to have that done. Weeks later I met with Scott, the owner of this company, about installing an Air Filtration System in my home. During our consultation Scott informed me he wanted to seal my air vents first. Eventually Scott emailed me a bid for $369 to seal the Air Vents. Also included in Scott’s bid was additional pricing for Ductwork Inspections @ $125, with a notation stating “ACTUAL ADDITIONAL COST FOR DUCTWORK TO BE DETERMINED”. I emailed Scott several times trying to seek clarification about the ductwork, but weeks passed and there never was any response. The last time I emailed Scott, I requested a refund for the unused part of my prepaid yearly Service Maintenance Plan due to his unresponsiveness.

Blake was on time and checked my heating system to make sure it was in good order. He was very pleasant and quite helpful with answering my questions. He also provided helpful tips.

Since Scott Mangum has taken over Georgetown Heating & Air Conditioning, the company has provided superior service and has attended to our concerns. Scott has come out to the house to speak face to face to address some concerns that we have had since the installation of a new system. He has promised to rectify the concern we have had with the new system, being a large investment, in which the manufacturer’s representative has basically dismissed our concerns. This is true customer service, that is becoming a dinosaur in today’s business.Thanks Scott for you help and understanding.Chris

Georgetown Air Conditioning & Heating has been doing routine maintenance for us for the last 3 years. They are professional & knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

Called the after hours line for help but no one answered and called the next business day in the morning and was schedule for a 3-3:30 appointment. My A/C had gone out in and needed help all I got was a no call no show. They don’t seam to care enough to reschedule or even stay in contact. I wouldn’t recommend them at all.

Lots of AC companies seem like they are just out for a quick buck and try to milk every cent they can out of their customers but not these guys. They give you all the.options and work with you on a solution that makes sense.
