I purchased an American Home Shield warranty last year, and I highly regret it. When I requested service for my heating system, they sent a technician from A-US Air Conditioning of Texas. After inspecting my unit twice, he failed to find the problem and made things worse. My cooling system now makes a loud noise, and the heating system still doesn’t work properly. He even left screws untightened, creating more issues. I do not recommend this company or the warranty at all

Why can’t I rate less than one star? I know I have a home warranty, and they only hire the bottom feeder contractors but these people are ridiculous. Openly refuse to disclose what I’m paying for, repeatedly, even after the warranty company requested it. Fraudulently charged me for a permit they never obtained, and work they didn’t perform, and to top it off, the unit they installed looks like a bad DIY job- nothing fits or seals, it sucks hot air from the attic where they failed to seal it up, and it blows cold air into the hot attic where they failed to seal it up. Condensate line leaking onto attic rafters and I just can’t imagine any professional being proud of this installation. I really wish a supervisor or owner of this company would respond, no one returns calls or emails. Look at these photos and tell me you would hire these people?UPDATE.... weve had 7 visits from these folks trying to make things right, the City had to get involved because they refused to do an inspection after their install... to the point the City has fined them for not doing the inspection, AND they have another permit on file from 6 months ago with this same company where they refused to do an inspection afterwords also. Completely ridiculous, and I have no idea how they are in business, and have no idea why their management or owner doesnt care?

Home warranty company connected us to A-US Air for a bad blower motor. Below freezing Temps all week. We called Thursday, but they could not come out until Monday. Francisco Lucio was our technician, he quickly determined the motor needed to be replaced and we waited until Thursday for the part to come in. The part was new in the box (important to note) when he arrived and installed it. Francisco ran the system after programming the motor and checking temputures to ensure the system was working correctly.We would have liked A -US Air to Responder faster.Unfortunately we know that the parts for any repairs come from the warranty company, not the Contractor they send out. That was the frustrating delay during the coldest days this year.Francisco Lucio did a great job. Thank you.

Single handily the absolute WORST company I’ve ever dealt with. The untrained installers completely botched the install of two units, put a massive hole in our ceiling and just left without even telling us. 2 days later one of them busted a hose or something and now it’s raining in the living room. Terrible doesn’t come close to describing this company.

Do not use this company under any circumstances. They are crooks and you can’t trust what they are saying. They were sent by my warranty company but I decided to take the cash out option and choose my own vendor. After finding out they had lost the job, they sent the warranty company a list of things they had done to prepare to do the work on my property. Including, requesting a permit from the town, installing a hard start and capacitor… the work totaled $800. I called the town, no permit had been requested and the vendor that I did choose was nice enough to remove a rusted on capacitor and hard start so that I could show the warranty company that A-US Air is taking them and their customers for a ride. Do not use! See photos below of the rusty equipment they supposedly installed the week before. Save yourself the headache and either take the cash out or get a second opinion.

I’m glad I see the reviews for this company are terrible. This company was assigned to me by American Home Shield. They scheduled an appointment with me for 11. I look on the AHS app and it says a window of 9-12 which wasn’t discussed. At 12, I still had not heard from anyone so I call asking where was the technician. Their rep tells me they have no ETA and she will call me back. Mind you, I’m Hybrid, and chose to work from home today to accommodate them coming. I also had a doctor’s appointment at 2:15. I get a text around 1:15 (one hour fifteen minutes after I called). Saying a technician was on their way. I called irritated saying I can’t accommodate that. The lady told me I needed to reserve the whole day for them to arrive. That’s not what I was told and it’s sounding like they are on some b.s. I call AHS, tell them to find me a new contractor because I don’t even want them in my home at this point. The lady tells me that their company had marked me as customer missed appointment. I didn’t miss an appointment where the technician would be arriving three hours late. THEY missed the appointment. DO NOT USE.

Scheduled appointment times are provided but not adhered to at this company. They expect you to be available all day, regardless of the time sent to you. The technician arrived an hour before my scheduled appointment time, and as I was not reachable, they rescheduled my appointment to after an incoming winter storm. I will have no heat for multiple days with freezing temperatures.

This company started a fire and burnt my yard during an ac repair. It took weeks in the heat of summer to get the repair, then they started a fire and burnt my grass and my neighbors grass. The entire process is still frustrating And now refuses to pay. But bragged about owning a yard service company. Very unprofessional and dishonesty.

Our AC went out overnight so we called this morning and we were expecting a wait time of a few days for a tech to come out but they understood our situation and came out within a matter of hours. Mike Collins was our tech he had excellent customer service, extremely knowledgeable, very courteous and it was repaired within the hour. I couldnt be happier with the service of this company. I definitely recommend.

Extremely helpful and knowledgable and went above and beyond for us on this last visit to our house - and does every time he is sent out (we have several properties that hes come to and he is always excellent and we always know were in excellent hands).

Do not recommend this company. They work with third party technicians and thus aren’t able to schedule services until the night before they come. Does not give anyone with a regular job to properly arrange their schedule for the service. I had them out in the spring bc my system wasn’t cooling they replaced a zoning board and it worked fine all summer and now that I need the system to heat it’s not working despite working fine at the end of the cold season. I called a second company to take a look at the system and they suggested I contact the last people that did the installation because the wiring was a mess. They suggested I try that first to reduce my cost but these people are a pain to work with. For this type of service you’re better off with a company that employs their technicians and offers a guarantee on their work. I’ll be having the second company back out to complete whatever repairs are needed.

Jeremy came out to investigate why our blower fan wasn’t working. He ordered a new fan motor and interface board and said it could be 3 - 4 days. Turns out he was able to get it within 1 day and came back out to install them! He did a great job and could’ve delayed it but he was very attentive and wanted to do the job right.

Horrible experience is ongoing 4 years later. A-US was called out due to Home Warranty recommendations. We ended up replacing all 3 units. They were installed incorrectly and required multiple visits by inept installers. Finally someone came out to fix all of the errors. Now we have a leak in the coils. A reputable company came out and took video of the leak and let us know the coils used are cheap and don’t last. Now we are paying thousands to repair this. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The disappointment continues.

Cost for repairs was $2700 above what warranty covered. I have been trying for two weeks to simply get a copy of the invoice showing the work they have done. They promise that it is being sent, but I have yet to receive it. The last two times I have called, Kenny has hung up on me.

If only we could give zero stars here. These guys were sent out to repair our heater during the winter through our home shield policy. While on site, the technician fell through our ceiling. Yes, fell through our ceiling. Leaving a giant gaming hall and massive amounts of debris all over the place. We were understanding at the time, because the guy assured us that someone would be in touch with 24 hours to repair the significant damage done during this visit. Here we are more than a week after the incident occurred and not only has no one contacted us, but we cannot get anyone on the phone. No one will return our calls or even answer.Please, do not work with these people. This is one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. We spent the Christmas holidays, with freezing, cold air, blasting into our home due to the hole with two little children and there is no end in sight as we have yet to receive a single response to our many inquiries here.

Another poor experience through American home shield. $100 for a guy to come to our house to fix the Hvac. It runs continuously. He stood in front of the thermostat for 30 minutes and did not even look at the HVAC system. Said it was our thermostat and left. Did not even consider the possibility that it could be loose or faulty wiring in the HVAC . Nothing was fixed.If you have American home shield do not let them schedule this company. And what’s even more frustrating is American home shield knows of the work they do(or don’t do )and yet they still contract with them.

A-US serviced a repair call placed through my home warranty on October 2. Dispatch first scheduled an appt the following day but helped accommodate a same day appt. Jay the technician called to say he was 30 mins away which is appreciated. Jay’s initial fix did not hold up since the symptoms were intermittent. The thermostat was randomly cutting out and shutting the system down. He had left but offered to take a call from me if the issue reoccurs which it did. He took my call and came back to the house the same evening and was able to identify and fix the issue. Jay went above and beyond to make sure we sleep comfortably that evening. Much appreciated!

This company is a joke.They do not deserve any stars! If you are using your Home Warranty Company, as we did-insist on another company!! A-US Air does not follow the proper installation requirements as per Industry Standards, Manufacturer Instructions and Applicable Codes. The damage to our unit is consistent with their failure to complete the appropriate Acid Flush at the onset and later at the time of a necessary repair. According to Kenny in their office “an acid flush is not necessary when replacing the compressor”. Kenny was non-responsive at first and when I finally reached him he was rude. Management’s response to our issue and concerns were unapologetic, unprofessional and they failed to address our specific concerns over and over again. Read the reviews so you have a complete picture. Save yourself a headache and find a reputable company who truly cares about their work ethic and customer satisfaction!

This company quoted me $150 for a simple tune up. I then see they charged my card for $250. I called and they said it was a fat finger mistake and that they would credit me back… then preceded to not credit me and will not return my calls. This has been going on for a month now.Honestly, the mistake is really sketchy to begin with, but then to admit you made a mistake and do nothing about it just screams shady. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do this to a lot of other folks. If my wife weren’t going through our budget that same week we probably would’ve missed it.

I had a horrible experience with this company who at first came out for just an inspection of the unit to prepare for summer. Instead what I got was over a month of no a/c after they came then it was one thing after another unable to fix. The end was when the last technician went up into the attic and hit the pvc pipe loose not realizing then left and I came home to a flooded hallway with wood floors buckling. After emailing pictures and trying to call their corporate office because they should be insured, I got brushed off and ignored. Horrible customer service. I had to switch companies who then was able to get my a/c working quickly. But I was left with a warped wooden floor and no response from their corporate. So it comes From the top down.

Incompetent technician. Said the lines were frozen and they were not (see pic). Never took the panel off the system to evaluate anything. Starting to defrost the system and identified that the primary drain was blocked and left copious water leaking out of the system, refusing to fix it because his boss (Kevin) said it wasnt his responsibility to fix an issue he created. Third time they came out and nothing has been repaired. Literally couldnt determine the upstairs HVAC from the downstairs HVAC at the first visit. Totally clueless. No one answers the phone to discuss and there is no customer service what so ever. They are scamming people with service for home warranty when really they are just avoiding service costs to help the home warranty company avoid costs.

Our outside unit went out on a very hot weekend. Their technician Jeremy came on a Sunday, kept in touch with us and was right on time. He replaced our condenser fan motor and added freon. Very professional.We have used this company before through American home shield when they replaced our inside unit. Always very professional and prompt. A great company to work with.Thank you Jeremy! American Homeshield dispatched a technician to my home and the technician, Ben, who arrived was amazing. He was very informative and helpful with my current issue and gave me his professional opinion on a few other questions unrelated to my current issue. However, the customer service for the company is horrible! The call center personnel are only able to read from a script and cannot help. I have made a requests over the last week to have someone from A-US Air to call me and have yet to receive a call. The lack of contact is resulting in a denial of my claim with American Homeshield and costing me $1,000s of dollars. My issue can be resolved with a simple call from my technician or a member of the actual A-US Air team and not the off-shore call center staff.

These guys deserve less than 1 star!Unfortunately, my family had American Home Shield coverage, and even worse, we had to rely on this company to fix our AC during a scorching Texas summer – and I use fix sarcastically.We are now on week two with no AC, a child in the house, and countless calls to the voicemail of Chuck from installation. Its impossible to speak to anyone in the US, as their dispatch team is overseas, and they openly admit they have no way of contacting anyone from the company directly.Here’s what you need to know: they send someone to your home on day one to claim the project from American Home Shield, but after that, you’ll be lucky if anyone ever comes back.American Home Shield doesnt care and refuses to change the contractor, no matter how bad the service is. Their ridiculous policy dictates that the first contractor to claim the ticket gets the job – and they couldn’t care less about the actual customer.AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Thought everything was ok but finding out not. Leak with the AC in the attic. Company repaired it but the tech went through the ceiling. (American homeshield did not cover it $1550 buy thats another issue). Tech assured me that it will be repaired. No calls yet from their company. They ignore my calls. Its a call center that answers. Technicians NEVER show up within the confirmed time window, or they no show altogether (or send a Substitute and tell me that the original technician had something come up)! I have been trying for two days to get someone to my home to repair my AC for the THIRD time. They have installed two new compressors since March (last one in late August) and now it is not working again and they are not responding! I am in the real estate business and I have never experienced this low level of service and customer care and lack of concern for customers time.

Crooks…..This is one of the companies that American home shield has to use. They replaced the fan motor on the air conditioner, which is an air conditioning heating unit. When it went down to 39 I turned the heater on but it only blew cold air. I called them and I was told since it was three days past the 30 day deadline I would have to call American home shield for a new work order. So I paid the $125 again and the company they sent out saw that A-US Air Left two wires hanging off. I called A-US AIR AND OFFERED TO LET THEM MAKE IT RIGHT BY REFUNDING THE $125. The guy wanted Argue with me so I had to hang up on him.Obviously, a bunch of crooks. Probably hoped that they would have another service charge. What’s really bad is my AC and heating unit is under full warranty with Trane so they’ll probably double dip and get paid from AHS and Trane.

Mario, the service technician essentially argued with me when he tried to reschedule my service appointment when I was not available, and again when asking to come by well outside of business hours.He then no-showed on my appointment time and claimed I was not able to be contacted as the reasoning, which is a lie.Don’t understand why someone would act this way. I had read all the reviews before they showed up and was concerned. Had a warranty claim via AHS. I had an amazing experience with a gentleman named Paul. He communicated with me before the call with ETA. Diagnosed the problem quickly and had my AC up and running quickly. Sometimes working with a home warranty company can be frustrating for all involved as lots of things are not covered. Best to understand your contract and what is covered so you have realistic expectations. Thanks Paul for your professionalism.BTW they got me on their schedule for the next day

Worst company and tech. Israel came prepared to find a way to not cover HVAC Compressor under home warranty. Very unprofessional and kept saying not covered and will find reasons for the same. We have had our ac worked on by this company multiple times through home warranty. This specific time the blower motor went out that they had just replaced less than a year ago. The cause was that it was impacted with dirt and bio growth??? When I talked to the technician on the phone he said it was because we did not have a surge protector. As he sat in my driveway minutes after talking to him, I get this in an email saying the blower motor is dirty and that’s what caused the short. This company is the most unprofessional scheming double dipping trash I’ve ever used. The technician did not bring any tools to even test it and rather looked at it and said yup it’s the blower motor. The pictures are the one that they previously installed less than a year ago. It’s brand new still! Don’t ever use them. Communication is terrible and they are double charging. Falsifying paperwork to get double payment from warranty and home owners.its been a week since we heard from them and its been outrageously hot. I’m not even surprised anymore seeing how they came out twice a year for 3 years and my ac is still messing up

**Update** I want to recognize two technicians at A-US Air -Isreal and Miseal. The two techs have been very professional and thoroughly have resolved issue with my HVAC system at different times.A-US Air did tech to resolve the issue after the Core replacement. * Isreal (the tech) was very professional, talked me through what occurred and how he was going to resolve it. A-US Air Conditioning has gained our confidence again.End of update after fixed. I’ll add photos.Two- waiting on a service call, I hope they fix it and I can change my posting and pictures.AHS sent A-USAir for repair work. Less than a month ago. Their employees say they back their work with 60 day warrant- this is not true. The issue is in the picture - they rep did not seal the coil correctly - so I have air escaping into the attic. They do not want to send someone to finish the job correctly. Sad but True.I was wondering why the air was not outputting like before from the vents before worked on it.Trash JOB from the guy that was training another guy. See how their seal gave way bad workmanship.

ZERO rating - I am writing to express my severe dissatisfaction with the service I received from A-US Air Conditioning of Texas company, specifically regarding the technician named Israel.My experience was deeply disappointing and frustrating. Israel’s lack of professionalism was evident throughout his visit. He did not take the time to properly diagnose the issue with my AC unit. Instead, he hastily communicated with my insurance company, claiming the problem was a pre-existing condition without explaining this to me or providing a clear assessment of the issue. However my AC unit was brand new .I insisted on a second opinion because I was certain his diagnosis was wrong and it was wrong.Furthermore, his actions resulted in significant miscommunication between me and my insurance provider. It seems Israel’s primary concern was to increase his earnings rather than resolving the problem efficiently. This approach is not only unprofessional but also unethical.Given the circumstances, I strongly advise against using A-US Air Conditioning of Texas services, especially with this particular technician. I hope you take immediate action to address these issues and prevent similar experiences for future customers.

DO NOT RECOMMENDCompletely inept. Came out two times to NOT fix my unit. The first time the tech retightened a couple of wires and said it was fixed. It wasnt. The second time, the tech changed out the t-stat and said it was fixed. It wasnt. So then he said I needed a wire run down the OUTSIDE of my house, that my home warranty wouldnt cover it and it would cost me $1k out of pocket. I called my home warranty company and said I wanted a second opinion.The second company came out and within 5 minutes diagnosed a bad contactor. A $15 part. He changed it out and the AC works fine.A-US Air reminds me of the saying about monkeys & footballs. They need to hire actual technicians who actually KNOW something about HVAC instead of warm bodies who just swap parts hoping to fix the problem. I was without AC for two weeks while these people failed to fix my AC unit. Terrible experience.

Avoid this company. Very unprofessional and clueless people. I called them few years ago because my AC was not cooling. They told me I just need more freon gas. So they ripped me off, filled my freon for like $800. But they never told me that I have a leak. And now my home warranty refuses to fix my ac because there was a pre-existing condition. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They came out to deal with a broken compressor through American Home Sheild. They upsold me a complete new $3500 condenser instead, which they then installed with a broken compressor as part of the new condenser unit. They refused to get the compressor replaced unless I paid them another $3600 for a new coil which turned out to be completely unnecessary. I had to go directly to the manufacturer to get the broken compressor replaced instead, as A-USA refused to be responsible for their work.They lie, and hand in incorrect reports into the insurance company, so the insurance company will not cover the work and they can make more money off of you. Abe the installer and Kenny the service manager are completely untrustworthy.Do not use this company even if AHS sends you to them.

We had to use this company because we went thru our home warranty. We were told they had a 24 hour emergency line and someone should be out within a day. When I contacted the 24 hour emergency line, also listed as such on their website, it stated to leave a message and someone would call back during normal business hours. We had three appointments that were cancelled before Hector finally came out. He was able to fix the ac but left without telling us he was leaving. Now we’re getting letters from our warranty that they won’t cover the condenser due to hail damage due to storm and caused the compressor to go out. Our condenser is fine. it was the relay switch he fixed. This is the second bad experience we had with this company via our home warranty. Do yourself a favor and pay out of pocket if your warranty makes you use them.

Home warranty serviced. 1st visit Tech fished it within 15 mins and AC worked. Next day, AC unit was getting really loud requested a follow up. Steve a different tech came back and diagnosed it as a motor issue. Within 1 hour he went to pick up the part and in a total of 2 hours the repair was done. Overall, not a bad experience. After a few days my A/C was broken again they never answer the phone they waited for the 30 days to past for the warranty to expired and then when finally got the changes to speak to them, they dont take any responsibility of any source even when they were the last people that worked on the unit. Company told home warranty failure was our fault due to poor maintenance that caused stress on the system so we would not be covered. The same company was out 3 months prior to do a tune up and inspection and had said everything looked good and there were no issues.Remember they work for the home warranty company not for the home owner. Wife was 8.5 months pregnant and stuck with a house with no AC for over two weeks trying to get some resolution.If you happen to have SuperHome warranties switch before something breaks. They will be fine charging you every month but when it comes time to cover they will find some reason not to.

These guys are gold standard of worst possible customer service in any industry in any country. I gave them one start which you should take it as negative one star. My home warranty company picked them to fix AC issue. It took them 3 days to get to the house, another 3 days to provide report back to hoem warranty company and after that when I kept calling asking to understand out of pocket cost, repairs and warranty and schedule the work, their dispatchers kept forwarding my call to installation department. I called 15 times in 2 days, left voicemail to different people, had to spend hours of my time between home warranty company and thes folks. I wonder how these people are in business. dont only stay away from them but spread awareness to others and get this business shut down. They are disgrace to customers!Update - they came again to fix the issue on same AC through American Home Shield as I dont have a choice to pick the vendor through home warranty. Their technicians are clueless. First they replaced capacitor and condensor coil and didnt fix the real issue which ended up shorting the compressor and then they replaced compressor and TxV and then they said the issue was in inside evap coil leaking refrigerant all along which probably caused compressor to short. I have paid this incompetent company 2200+$ in last 1 year. Save your money - if your warranty company assigns them, just ask for someone else or get cash-in-lieu offer. Their supervisors are rude and unavailable most of the time. Their accounting team hasnt sent me invoice pdf after asking for 10 times on the call. Whole company is utterly incompetent and cheating the customers.

On July 22, I received a text message at 10:35 PM from a technician named Israel, informing me that he would be arriving at my house between 10 AM and 1:00 PM the following day. I had not received any prior call to schedule this appointment, which was highly inconvenient given my work commitments. I was told by home warranty someone would call to schedule appointment but that never happened. Despite explaining that I could not accommodate this unscheduled visit, Israel continued to text me, waking me up and continuing until 10:58 PM. This was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful of my time and sleep.I then scheduled an appointment through the office for July 26, specifying that someone should come after 1 PM. However, the evening before the appointment, I received another text, this time from Abe at 5:56 PM, stating he would arrive between 7 AM and 11 AM. I called and texted Abe multiple times with no response, and I also contacted the office to reconfirm the after 1 PM appointment. Eventually, Abe messaged back, confirming he would come after 1 PM.When Abe finally arrived, he claimed that a surge had broken my thermostat, a diagnosis I knew was incorrect. My home warranty company informed me that this issue would not be covered, based on Abes assessment. I insisted on a second opinion because I was certain his diagnosis was wrong. ONCOR verified there had been no surge during the time my units were out, and my electricians confirmed this as well.I explained all this to Abe, but it was clear his diagnosis was faulty. I brought in another company for a second opinion, and their diagnosis was entirely different. If I hadnt challenged Abes incorrect assessment, I would have been left with an unresolved issue and significant out-of-pocket expenses.This companys technicians need to be better trained and more competent in their assessments. Additionally, their scheduling and communication practices are lacking. I urge the company to take this feedback seriously and use it to improve their services. Customers deserve better than what I experienced.

Second day dealing with the front office trying to get people on the phone or to return calls is very frustrating.My home warranty company has them under contract so I am obligated to use them. Welcome to a socialist system…please return my calls, please call me, please schedule and conduct the repairs as contracted.It started with the technician saying it would take 3 to 5 days to get a compressor…really in DFW? I would bet that the HVAC suppliers have thousands in the area. Now they can’t call back and the home warranty company says the contractor is wanting to upgrade me…I didn’t ask for that I want my unit fixed…but if they would return calls…please come back with the parts that were authorized by home warranty company and fix the unit.

I had an incredibly distressing experience with A-US Air Conditioning of Texas, which was contracted through my home warranty provider, American Home Shield. When the repairman (Tanner) arrived to fix my air conditioner, everything seemed normal at first. However, things took a turn for the worse.After briefly speaking with the repairman, I returned to my office. A while later, I noticed that the house was unusually quiet, and I hadnt seen him leave. Checking my home cameras, I couldnt locate him outside, so I decided to investigate. To my shock, I found him rummaging through my personal belongings in my bathroom!When I confronted him, he started rambling and lying, which made me feel threatened. I immediately asked him to leave my house and finish his work outside. I had to arm myself for protection and contacted American Home Shield. While waiting for him to finish, I confronted him again, this time recording our interaction. He lied again, claiming he had knocked some things over.I contacted A-US Air Conditioning of Texas about this incident and have yet to hear back from American Home Shield. This experience has been nothing short of TERRIBLE.I urge everyone, especially women, to be extremely cautious when letting repairmen into your home. Quality of services provided by the technicians were very poor. Diagnosis by the technicians were wrong, leading the customer bearing additional costs, Poor customer services, no contingency plans of technicians taking sick leave, continuous to upset their clients by rescheduling the technicians appointment, no reply on messages left to the manager and responsible staff. Very good company. The guys - Jeremy and Tanner - were the first A/C guys to really explain clearly and in depth the cause of our A/C problems and what was required to repair them. Then the city inspector came by and said the installers (Rafael and another man - forgot his name) did a great job. Can’t say much more than that. The only problem we had was that the installers did not add enough Freon but that was quickly identified by Tanner and fixed the next day. I would definitely recommend them.

The technician correctly diagnosed the issue as blower motore, a simple fix. But then never returned for the repair and the company would not return calls.. 9 days later after baking in the texas heat,, Managment, Kenneth, finally called to tell me they would only sell me a entire new unit, mine could not be fixed. I hired another company who repaired the unit same day for lass than $500. They are crooks, do not use them. Request another contractor if this company is assigned to your dispatch. They also reported false information to my home warranty company to ensure that they denied the claim trying to force me to buy a new unit.

They were contracted out from our home warranty company. The lead worker dropped his crew off and left. He did not come back until the job was “completed”. The city inspected the work and failed the inspection. A-US Air conditioning refuses to come back out to complete it unless they have a work order from the warranty company. Warranty company refuses to send them out unless we pay $$$$ for it.When we call to speak with a supervisor from A-US air conditioning, they refuse to transfer us to one.We now have another company coming out to repair the damaged and complete the work A-US air conditioning failed to do. Highly do not recommend them for future jobs.

I completely agree... i should be able to rate them with 1/2 star or less. The experience has been a nightmare. They reviewed my AC unit twice within 35 days. i am appalled to discover that A US Air Conditioning of Texas hid crucial information from me regarding the condition of the unit. despite knowing that my coils were bad, they went ahead and charged me for freon, on the first visit, leading to unnecessary expenses on my part. This deceptive pracrie is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the integrity of all involved. After, requesting a copy of both work orders and all photos, A US AIr Conditioning of Texas has decided to go silent. On top of this there lie has caused my warranty company to balk on their commitment. I will post weekly about the travesty you could face if you choose to go this route.

WORST SERVICE EVER. They’ve been out 4 times to work on my a/c without ever diagnosing the problem. I finally had them replace it -inside and out, and it broke two days later. Terrible customer service with Chris Rodriguez he has no business being an A/C tech. He told me the freon was low so I can add more or get a whole new AC unit. I went inside for not even 3 minutes to discuss with wife & when I came back out he said “When customers take too long to make a decision I make it for them.” He had already submited the order without my permission and refused to add freon. Don’t ever go with them for your AC problems. I will be submitting a complaint to the Texas Dept of Licensing and Regulation.

The technician was pleasant and communication on appointment was good. However, I just cannot understand how a technician can diagnose anything with a screwdriver to open outdoor ac panel and just tell me the compressor is out. Just one screwdriver in checking Ac unit … No checking lines, wires, the compressor by opening cover, fuse, Freon, electronic panel..( outdoor unit was not coming on ) He told me that he cannot tell why the unit is not working until the compressor is replaced. But then he reported to American Home Shield that the compressor is out due to power surge. Of course AHS will not cover anything resulting from power surge. I tried to text and call the technician, of course he does not return my call.I had another company out and within 20 minutes, he said that the charge( Freon) was low which caused automatic shut off of the unit. With added Freon, outdoor unit is back on. Problem is I have a leak. Alas, the AHS believes that the unit is dead due to power surge even after I told them about the situation. ( all because they have to go by what their technician says.. probably they like that opinion better since if it is caused by power surge, then they don’t have to pay)Should I think that the technician from this company is really so unqualified to do the work right or should I think that there is more going on here?? However I look at it, I have to say that honest work is not what they strive for.If you are reading this review, I highly recommend you to steer clear away from using this company unless you want headache.I did not have choice because AHS has contract with themAfter reading some of the comments here, I realized that I am not the only one thinking that there is something not quite right how they do their business and how unqualified some of the technicians are. Called our home warranty company and they sent a Tech from A US AIR to came out here in Amarillo Tx and replaced a motor up in the Attic for the unit and also blew out the return lines in the drain pan. Tech did not hook lines up properly after he replaced the motor and blew out the lines . This was on August 10,2020 and 7 days later we notice water dripping from our ceiling in our back living room. That night at about 11:30 pm part of the ceiling caved in with sheet rock and insulation in the middle of the floor due to lines not being hooked back up properly.Called A us air the next day and spoke to a customer service rep and they said a supervisor would contact me before 5pm that day. This did not happen and i had to call back again and ask to speak to a rep. That following day the tech that made the repairs came back out to take pics of damage and send to company supervisor. Supervisor calls back and stats this his not his responsibility and the tech did not do this!!! Supervisor stated the tech did not have any notes on him blowing out the return lines in the drain pan. This company could have cared less if any of these damages even happened and it wasnt even their responsibility to even try and help with this situation and mess they had made. Very poor quality customer service . Now Im out several thousands dollars in repairs that this company WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND !!!

My 85 year old mother had a technician come out from her American Home-shield warranty from A-US Air conditioning. Technician found problem to be heat/ cooling switch to be bad and had system locked in heat mode. He told her he would order part and get back with her. 2 days later the office called my mother and told her they would not replace the part without doing a complete service of the system and my mother would have to pay $1100.00 for draining and refilling Freon.The problem had nothing to do with Freon it was a control switch issue. Beware this company tried to scam an 85 year old elderly lady when the most American Home Shield according to customer support my mother spoke with only charges the customer is $10 per pound and the unit only holds 15 pounds maximum !!! It has been several days now and moms air conditioning is still out. American Home Shield has not sent another company out yet either. Lovely 🥵

A US Air is a horrible company. Read the other reviews. They came to my house 5-8, called them back bc it wasn’t fixed. They claimed a loose wire. Came back a second time and said it was missing 2 bolts and they would have to order them. One week later, called and they said they were still looking for the parts. Called next day and they said they had started looking for the parts today. 5-29. Said it might take a week for them to find the parts. Yes, I have Home Warranty and I don’t know what kind of kahoots they are in with American Home Shield. It is by far the worst AC company I have ever dealt with.

I had them provided an estimate for the AC repair through the AHS. The technician who came to troubleshoot the issue was quite professional, however when it comes to communication with their main office the experience was not exactly satisfying. They are not on the same page with AHS and even with the technician who sent them all the details. Its been 2 weeks now and I am still waiting for them to call me back with the replacement estimates. Yet they called me to ask about the repair while I clearly pointed out I am not looking into repair (week ago). It seems there is a huge disconnection at this company internally and externally. These guys can not be trusted.

They then missed several appointments and then blamed American Home Shield. And now, they are claiming that it’s a plumbing problem. On top of all, the customer rep hung up on me. Terrible company. On July 15th technician Franklin came out to inspect my unit as it wasnt cooling. No refrigerant was required he fixed some wires and it cooled for two days. On July 17th Devin came said new motor was required. August 8 system wasnt cooling as it should, I attributed that to the triple digit temperature. Aug 10th at 12 noon it began shacking and rattling.Turned unit off and contacted A US Air so much for Emergency 24 hour service. I contacted independent ac person who stated the motor was either wrong size or not bolted properly which ruined coil and broke blades. A US air stated they couldnt come until Wed Aug 14th. I contacted American Warranty and now technician can come today. Devin returns to the scene not taking ownership of the mess he caused. Said he could weld it and I would need to pay him $4xx.00 + for refrigerant that leaked out because of his shotty installation that cut refrigerant line. I dont think so....He tore up my unit and A Us should replace. ....stay tuned to see what happens. I still have no Air..Monday night

American Home Shield contacted this company to diagnose and repair my AC. My 27 year old blower motor finally went out. The technician tried to upcharge $325 for cleaning dust off the 27-year old fan. When I told him to only perform the services covered by AHS, he got angry and called AHS in a effort to get my repair denied. I appealed the denial and a reputable company repaired my unit. Stay away from these guys.

I have used American Home Shield for years and its been a dice roll as to which contractor they will send. When one is assigned I tend to look at the Yelp reviews and then I get anxious reading other peoples experiences.A/C went out just as our record hottest summer was hitting its stride. I just had a smaller repair last year so I braced for the worst. I submitted my claim with AHS on Sunday and expected the earliest first contact on Monday and maybe even Tuesday but was pleasantly surprised to get a text message from A-US Air Conditioning on Sunday evening inquiring if I was available on Monday afternoon. Again, I wasnt even expecting a call until Monday with the string of 100 degree days and A/C repair being in high demand but they were available, they contacted me before arrival and they arrived on time. Bryant made a pretty quick assessment. Despite having to replace my capacitor last year that was his diagnosis, explaining that they are being made more cheaply for some environmental reasons and tend to fail much more frequently. Fortunately he had one on the truck. He completed the repair in under an hour and we were cool like the other side of the pillow by that evening.Types of repairs and technicians will always vary. This one exceeded all my expectations though and on that basis, I would recommend A-US Air.

1st visit: The diagnosisJeremy Henry from A-US called ahead, arrived early, and found the problem quickly. Though problems remain to be fixed (once AHS authorizes) and it means Ill be seeing more of him and his company, Ive gotten a good first impression.2nd visit: The installEzekiel and Emilio from A-US arrived an hour later than Kenny told me they would, but that is the ONLY mark on this otherwise shining review. Ezekiel called ahead to let me know he was coming. He and Emilio were courteous, patient, and -meticulous-. I need to stress that last word more. METICULOUS. The new unit was a tight fit where the old one sat. Never once did they force anything. They approached each step with careful planning and diligent effort. Every question I had along the way (I was curious!), they took the time to explain. Both of these men are a credit to their company and A-US is a better company for having them. There is 58F air coming from my vents now and I am thankful. Great job guys!

This company has failed to fix my elderly parents ac. It has been over a week since it was diagnosed. We all 3 have been calling and get excuse after excuse after excuse. The subcontractor had a family emergency, he has the motor, now he doesnt have the motor, you have an appt scheduled Thursday then Friday then Saturday then Monday. And everyday the ac tech is a no show as of 415 on Monday July 15th in Texas. Do NOT use this company unless you have nothing else to do, have a ton of time on your hands, and dont mind being horribly hot in the Texas heat.

Come to find out their original service provided was complete bologna. They knew there was a leak and gave me some bull about our warranty not covering it so advised that he could only add refrigerant. Now here we are again 5 months later and $300+ later learning that bc they were too lazy to really fix the problem and instead used AHW as an excuse to not complete an accurate repair, our system is worse, the leak is worse, & will likely be out $2K when this could’ve been addressed 5months ago!

My home warranty company contracted them to fix my AC, which was replaced with a new motor on April 5, 2024. However, six weeks later, on May 18, 2024, my AC stopped blowing cold again. I waited 3 days to ensure the problem wouldnt correct itself. When I contacted my warranty company, I was shocked to learn that there was only a 30-day warranty on the service provided. This was when the nightmare began. An appt was made for a bit over 1 wk., the service representative who came to my home on May 30, 2024, claimed that he wasnt sure if he could fix the issue because of the rain (my unit is in my attic). He sent a text message saying, Weather permitting, limited on what can be done in the rain. He discovered the line was frozen and another appt is made for June 2, 2024. (I was left with more questions than answers). On June 3, 2024, I recd a text stating the $1600 necessary parts would take 5-7 days to arrive, (June 9, 2024). Its now June 13, 2024, and Im still without air conditioning or even the central a/c fan (to circulate air). From May 18, 2024-June 13, 2024, my family has been in an uncomfortable and sweltering home, suffering along with me. (BTW, I have a medical condition that is exacerbated by heat and US-Air was informed of that). The lack of communication (avoiding phone calls from myself and the warranty company) and excuses from the representatives of A-US Air Cond of Texas LTD is appalling. They have left me feeling frustrated, helpless, and HOT. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE. I hope this review will help others avoid the same nightmare experience I had with A-US Air Cond of Texas LTD.Update: June 21, 2024 ALL LIESI have been in contact with AHS (American Home Shield) since the last update and have spoken to multiple customer service reps and supervisors. My June 13, 2024 appointment was canceled and I was told by AHS that they would expedite service, schedule an appointment with another contractor and authorized a new unit to be installed due to the EXTREMELY LONG DELAY and my horrible experience with A US Air. This was the first time I used A-US 1 Air. Jonathon was very through on checking my air condition for upcoming summer. He answered my questions In great detail and even washed my AC. Very reasonable priced. I will call them again for maintaining my AC and furnace. They will text you night before arriving for your appointment. Thank you Jonathon for your help. I recommend them. Unfortunately if you use AHS and are in the Austin area they will probably send you these people. BEWARE!!! My AC was old but their failures caused me to get a 2nd opinion and ultimately get a new AC on my own while also cancelling AHS. They have been to my house multiple times in the last 8 months, they put a new motor in my Heatpump and it died after 8 months, the guy said Ill order you a new one this one must have been faulty...then never heard from him again. I waited a few days and called the main office in Garland, they were like we can have someone come out in 2 days. At that point I had been without AC for 7 days total. A very young adult came who was polite AND I recognized him from a service call 6 months before when he was being trained. His report to AHS was that it was my fault because the fan had build up and I wasnt using filters as often as I should...because the other guy had taken it out and also left my whole unit taken apart, he said the build up on the 22 yr old fan caused the motor to fail and could not be cleaned off. AHS denied the claim, of course. That is when I called another local company, he literally sprayed the fan off with very little pressure and it no longer had any build up on it. He said the first guy should have done that before putting in the new motor but did not. At this point I had already made the decision to get a new unit. AHS has an upgrade plan where they will pay half and you pay half on a new unit but it would have been with these people. I opted to pay for a new unit myself because I never want these people back at my house again OR for AHS to get my money again!

Repair men are inadequate, came out in March 23 added Freon never checked attic to determine why Freon was leaking, when Freon leaked out came back in June 2023 advised a needed a coil, replaced it but came back Sept 2023 to do something else because AC not working, Feb 2024 neither Outside unit nor heater working, rep advised we had to use emergency heat but when they connected the unit they forgot to reconnect it and advised to call back when it warms up to determine why outside not and now AC not working. rep advised he would come back out, when I called in he said to call the warranty Company, so I could pay another service fee. They continue to make mistakes when I called the office they advised the service was complete. Not sure how a new unit from 6/23 still not working . The quality of work is inadequate and incomplete. I would not recommend them to my worse enemy.

I have been without A/C downstairs for almost two weeks. American Home Shield is awaiting “paperwork” to approve repairs from A US Air. There is zero urgency on the part of A US Air and the person I finally got on the phone after three attempts and 20-30 minute wait times each attempt, was rude and not helpful at all telling me to take it up with my warranty company. I had already done so and was told the hold up is A US Air not submitting the paperwork required to authorize repairs. It is 109• and now my upstairs unit is limping along trying to cool the hot air rising for two weeks! Would NOT recommend this business!

I even double-checked my spam and call history, with no record of any contact from their team.When I relayed this information, and the fact that I had tried multiple times to reach their unresponsive number, I was met with a dismissive attitude. Their solution was merely to reschedule, with no attempt at an apology or reassurance that the same issues would not repeat. At this point, I had lost all faith in their services and chose to cancel my appointment. To add insult to injury, they informed me that they would charge me regardless of their evident failure to uphold their end of the agreement.In conclusion, my experience with A-US Air Conditioning of Texas was a study in poor communication, lack of responsibility, and a complete disregard for the customer. A-US Air-Conditioning came to my home to inspect the issue, claim they dont fix the issue (a simple weld), but then report to AHS that they completed the job to collect the deductible and prevent me from getting assigned a contractor that will actually do the job.

I am an American Home Shield Customer and this company was dispatched to work on my temperamental Nest thermostats. Jonathon arrived on time and was exceedingly patient with my utter lack of knowledge on practical things. He steadily trouble shooted the issue for 2 hours, before conceding that it was a larger issue of a malfunctioning board. He called in his supervisor Kevin to assist. They both went truly above and beyond - Kevin went to Home Depot to purchase a new nest (and return the one I had purchased) while Jonathan went to get a new board. They entirely surpassed any expectations I had. They were knowledgeable , professional, and never made me feel silly for the questions I was asking.

Paid for an annual A/C check-Up and U.S Air was sent out to do the job on the morning of April 6th and by the afternoon it no longer worked. My A:C had been working fine since weather began warming up outside, all of a sudden a few hours after U.S air checks it it bo longer cools my home. When I called the office, it was closed. I will try today and see if they are willing to rectify the situation. If so, I will return here and adjust my review.

This is a horrible company to due business with. My tech Raul kept talking over me and refused to listen. They want to replace a coil and drain pan which not resolve the condensate running down the supply and damaging my home. I have personally seen the leak and was confirmed by qualified HVACi investigator. They refuse to acknowledge the real problem and want to replace a 2 year old coil and recharge my system with R22. STAY AWAY FOR YOUR BENEFIT.

This company was assigned through Super Warranty 3 times this year. The unit needs to be replaced nd the rep keeps using poor parts . The unit after the last time of being serviced with this company, one day later, poured water through the upstairs ceiling, down the walls to the first floor and flooded the carpet. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.The absolute worst company I have ever experienced from the no shows, always being late if they do show up, lack of problem resolution, horrible customer service, professionalism, etc. My AC has been broken for 2 months and they still have not fixed it but have put a huge hole in my wall and charged me for a number of different things that did nothing to fix the issue. I recommend this ac company. I had a technician named Jeff W. come out and diagnose our leaking duct work. He reported it to our home warranty service provider and we were approved for repairs. Absolutely terrible experience! Called for service in June through my warranty company, it took more than a month to get them to show up for service. Technician showed up for 5 minutes, billed my warranty for a full service call, made no repairs, provided no service or resolution. They have only proven to be good at taking money. I can’t comment on repairs, because they did not do a single thing. I ended up using another AC company to replace my unit. Too bad this company couldn’t even provide a quote or resolution, guess that is also too much effort for A-US Air!

I understand a 4-5 day wait during a heat wave. After a 4 day wait A US came to my house to work on my ac and it wasn’t working again within 12 hours. I called them back and was given a 5 day waiting period. A customer service oriented company would make correcting this priority one. Instead they set my appointment 5 days away. Believe the reviews! This company A US Air is a trash company! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My warranty company dispatched this company over to fix my AC unit early Oct 2023. The technician negligently replaced the TX Valve by putting the incorrect part on my unit. Due to the incorrect part on my unit it caused damage to my unit to where my AC and my heater do not work. All of the Freon leaked out everywhere on inside of unit. AHS sent them back over to fix issue and the technician was very unprofessional stating he would not fix it and he did not care. He proceeded to steal a $2000 part out of my unit. Also instead of exiting out of my front door like a normal person the tech jumped my back yard fence and damaged the fence. I have video of the tech stealing the part and video of him jumping the fence as well as my neighbors as witnesses. The tech lied and tried to say I threatened him with a gun when I have cameras in my home showing that ABSOLUTELY did not happen. I also had the police do a walk through in my home to prove their was no gun even present and to prove just how much this company is an unprofessional, lying, trashy, dishonest, corrupt, disgusting and disrespectful company. I tried to talk to the manager Rob Jackson about getting the $2000 ac part returned back to me by mail or dropped off at the police station and he cursed and hung up in my face so I will be pressing criminal and civil charges against this company. Please BEWARE!!! If AHS dispatches this company to you ask for another vendor instead! They WILL damage your AC unit, property, and even steal parts off your unit! I had a service order from my insurance of my A/C system to AUS Air today. I felt the service went great, my service tech Justin was very professional and kept me well informed through out the inspection. He told me what to watch for, and how my system was running as well. I felt the service was very good, and the company sent text messages and called to let me know when they would arrive and on the way. Very nice since I was worried it would be like other companies and I would have to wait all day long for a phone call.Would recommend this company for other work.

Unfortunately the poor reviews are true. Beware of using this company if sent by your Home Warranty company. They made a small fix on the air conditioning unit and reported false information regarding a component in the unit that they didnt even work on.Within 10 minutes of the tech leaving we received a call from the warranty company saying that our claim had been denied. We were confused as it was just a capacitor change and the tech had already replaced it and left. They clarified by saying that they were denying a future claim based on the techs assessment. We were shocked as we pay for annual maintenance and the company who did it a few months ago never said anything.Concerned that our unit may be compromised in the heat of summer, we had another company come out the next day and they confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the unit.So we called the Home Warranty company back and escalated and requested proof of what the tech said. They were unable to provide any proof and were just going be the techs allegations. The Home Warranty company filed a complaint against A-US Air and have started in investigation. If you dont want a headache dealing with your warranty company and spending extra money out of your pocket for a 3rd party inspection and or wasting your time calling back and forth and being on hold, avoid this company at all cost. What a bunch of pathetic losers. Our home warrant group, American Home Shield, sent a tech from A-US Air Conditioning of Texas because our HVAC was not heating. The tech replaced a capacitor, wiring it incorrectly, and said the compressor and/or condensor were failing and needed to be replaced. Two weeks prior to this visit, another HVAC company installed a hard start kit. The A-US tech removed the hard start kit and then denied doing so. It wasnt until I showed A-US a snapshot from my security camera showing the hard start kit in the techs hand. Their resolution was to return the kit and nothing else. A-US Air Conditioning of Texas is the worst company I have ever dealt with and their honesty is nonexistent.

On 12-22 Kevin came out to service the unit. I explained that I had another company look and found the control board AND the blower motor needed to be replaced. Kevin said he was confident that the board was the only issue and hes been doing it for 20 years. Less than 24 hours later the heater stopped working. I had a new work order set up with the home warranty company and I was told that Mike will be out on 12-24 for a morning appointment. I got a call am hour later and was bumped to Monday 12-26 because my call was not a priority. I spoke to Benjamin a supervisor and he said they did not have any techs and I would have to wait until Monday. Once I told him the commitment that was made he said sorry but we will come out on Monday and I can call American home shield. This is so unprofessional since a commitment was made and then canceled. Since a job was not completed properly I SHOULD BE A PRIORITY. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

Avoid A-US Air Conditioning of Texas at all costs. Their service is absolutely horrible and I would not recommend them to anyone. When I called them to have a look at both of my units, they claimed that the downstairs unit was functioning properly. However, just 3 weeks later, it completely stopped cooling and they refused to come back out. They instead advised me to deal with my warranty company. As for the upstairs unit, they handed me a hefty $2,500 repair bill without providing any details in a statement of work. They insisted it was their policy and demanded upfront payment if I wanted the unit fixed. Unwilling to tolerate their questionable practices, I was forced to seek assistance from another company that actually provided proper details for the work. It is truly disheartening to see a company taking advantage of people during these sweltering times. Dont make the mistake of working with this horrendous company.

American Home shield sent a us air out on 9/20 who diagnosed the air conditioner with a bad compressor and said they had to order the part and it would take 10 days. It has been 23 days and they were supposed to be here tomorrow to install the new compressor. So we called today to make sure they were still coming tomorrow and they said their truck was broken down and they would have to reschedule for 6 more days from now.They do not care, it’s completely obvious. We live in Texas and we are using one window unit trying to cool a 1900 square-foot house. There is no telling how much are electric bill is going to be.We cannot get AHS or a US air to expedite or request urgency for the appointment. I cannot imagine an Air conditioning company has one truck that’s broken down which is their excuse for coming. Six days later. I would not recommend AHS or a US air to anyone.

AHS sent a tech from this company to inspect AC unit not cooling. Tech advised it was down 4lbs in Freon and all he was authorized to do was fill it back up, although he found the source of the leak. I asked again why I would pay $500 for Freon if there was an obvious leak just to have it bleed out in a few days. He had no answer, we refused service and he left. We called AHS and asked for 2nd opinion and they sent the same tech back out! He check again and now all the Freon was gone. It would now be $1040 cost to us for the Freon but that they would included a leak stop product that has a 95% success rate in plugging the leak and preventing a loss of Freon. Why would the tech not tell us this on his first visit? Had he done so, we would have agreed to the repair the first time! He was very rude, put out that he even had to come back and we just didn’t want to deal with him anymore. We refused his service again and are now out $200 in service calls fees when no work was even done! Horrible tech, communication and customer service. Do not use them!

This company has the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. I had an appointment set for 7/13 and called at 10am and 330 pm to get status on a service time. I was told both times that the technician wasn’t responding but he would call and would make the appointment. The customer service rep said there was a 100% service call guarantee. Never received a call and the technician never showed up.I called back on 7/14 and nobody knew why the technician missed the appointment but again told me he would show up and call me. American Home Shied also got involved and sent emails with no response back from the technician. I was told Benjamin was the supervisor and I left 2 messages with him and he didn’t have the professionalism to get back to me. Needless to say it’s 6:50 and the technician never called or showed up. I understand things happen but there is no excuse for calling your customers to keep them updated and honest with them. I’m disappointed that AHS continues to use them for their customers.Avoid them at all cost and don’t trust anything they tell you if you can get ahold of anyone to begin with. I would love for someone in upper management to call me to discuss. You know what they say… a fish stinks from the head down. If I do get a call, I will update my post. We’ll see if anyone in management cares or will sit comfortably in their air conditioned offices while their customers suffer in 89 degree homes. I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from choosing to use their services. In march I paid for an AC system check up through American Home Shield. I was told A US Air was the only service provider in my area. When my AC went out 2 weeks ago the tech told me my coils were dirty covered with dog hair (I dont have a dog). I asked him why they werent cleaned during my spring check up and he said maybe the tech forgot (maybe he forgot he was the tech that did the check up). He cleaned the coils and left. 12 hours later the AC stopped working again. It was running 24/7 because it was unable to cool the house under 80 degrees. The unit was getting so hot it shut itself down and you could feel the heat coming off it from 10ft away. I pulled the main fuse because we were afraid it might catch fire. The second time he came out he put the fuse back in and it started working because it had rested for 2 days. He said there was a small leak and topped off the freon and then left. It worked for 6hrs and started overheating again. His third visit was supposed to be today . In my text message from A US Air they said he would call or text 30min-1hr before my appointment. I never received a call or a text. When I called to confirm my appointment they told me I had missed it. Keep in mind my wife was home all day waiting for him and no one ever showed up. I talked to a dispatch supervisor at A US Air and she refused to send him back to my house stating I had missed my appointment, even though I never received a call or text message and my wife was home all day and no one came to the door. 95% of A US Airs business comes from warranty company referrals. Which means they dont care about customer service because they have a steady flow of calls. Through this whole experience Im starting to believe that the warranty companies are in bed with the service providers. They have no intention on fixing your issues. They slap band-aids on it until you get so frustrated you just pay out of pocket and fix it yourself. If you dont have to use A US Air then stay as far away as possible!

I was supposed to get a pre season checkup first week of May.. they just give you a date.. not a specific time. Took the day off for the appointment, then they rescheduled me to the first week of June.. again for “anytime of the day” appointment. So I took another day off work, just for them to call me the day before and reschedule again!One time I can understand.. but twice?? They obviously don’t care about their customers time! Hector came out twice wouldn’t listen to what I was telling him! He went up in the attic both times here about 15 mins both time problem is still not fixed. He blamed it on the electric which it was not! I don’t ever want this company back at my house. He would not listen when I told him it was the outside unit that is the problem. It was in the teen’s during this time I went without heat during the cold snap because he wouldn’t listen or look at it. The first time they came out is ridiculous as well! Never use this company! AHS assigned them to fix my AC last yr when it went out in Late August. Their first appointment was a week later and they no showed and No called to tell me they would miss it, then blamed me saying I wasn’t home. When I told them I had ring cameras all around my house they stayed the tech went to the wrong house but would show up 2 days later for sure. When he showed up, he looked at the system, and without touching anything said it was a bad compressor and it needed to be replaced and charged with a new type of freeon refrigerant but they would need to order the part. $900 and 2 weeks later, the AC as finally working but we’re in September by this time so AC wasn’t really needed anymore since it was starting to cool down… Fast forward to March when it’s warming up again and the AC didn’t work again… filed a new claim with AHS and again they sent this company. 1 week later when they showed up they said it was another part that again they had to order. He changed it and it worked for 3 weeks and then broke down again. They came back out, and changed a 3rd part. Again AC worked for 3 months and now it’s not cooling again… So either they’re just Morron’s guessing what to fix and patching the problem to give it a temporary fix or these people are scammers doing it on purpose trying to get as much business as possible because there’s no way an AC Unit that’s less than 8 years old breaks down this much in less than 1 yrs time…

We have American Home Shield American Home Shield uses this company they came out and gave us false readings. We paid $130 at first he said everything should be fine two days later air stop again second round he came back two days later and said that we need a condenser coil which is going to cost us $2800 out of our pocket. No we did not use this company. We told American Home Shield that we do not want to use this company because they gave false readings. We had another company to come out and they told us they yes we needed the condenser coil but once we fix that other parts will go bad within months because of the age of the unit. We need a whole new system which American Home Shield refuses to pay for so I do not recommend American Home Shield neither do I recommend A U S air at all. Poor quality very rude, have you waiting on the phone for hours just terrible.

They gave two different diagnosis and the last stating we needed a part for the blower motor. After waiting over a month, I reached out to American Home Shield to find they completed the order without completing the service to my AC. I have been without central AC since June and these people refuse to answer the phone each time AHS says theyve tried to call or they hang up when they hear the call is from AHS. The technician also hung up on my daughter and was very rude to her on the phone. It appears that AHS needs to get a bad review for contracting with these vendors.

The first technician came out and told us, We arent really certified to work on Trane units, so I dont know whats wrong. He cleared the error code, but it malfunctioned again the next week. The next technician came out and seemed more knowledgeable but told us I cant really figure out what is wrong, but just call me when it does an error code again, but then the company refused to come back due to it being over 30 days.

American Home Shield sent us this vendor for our evaporator coil. The repair guy comes to our home and completes the job, however about 8 days in our unit was not sounding right, there was air coming thru the vents and making an odd sound. We had to call them back which is an event in itself as they kept sending us to some guys voicemail and indicating he would call us back. After 1.5 days this guy calls us back and sends out another repairman, and after looking over what the first repairmans work he says He didnt do a few things right and he would have to fix what the first guy did not do( so we thought), He said the first guy didnt do somethings right and he was not surprised we were hearing noise from our unit. The first guy left the box, screws and debris all over our garage. We thought everything was ok, considering the amount that we were charged to get this completed and the second guy indicating all was done. All is not ok, we are now having to have another company come out and fix what they did not, to say I am pissed is an understatement. If you are given this companys name, run, do not do it, if its through a homeowners insurance demand another company, they never apologized for the first guy doing bad work, we are having to use another company to come and fix what they did not. Horrible service and should do better on the customer service as well. RUNNNN from this company.

Had a great experience with the technician, James. We have American Home Shield and were assigned A-US as a second opinion after a really bad experience with the first contractor. They attempted to charge us $1800 for an uncovered item, meanwhile the actual issue I had requested service for didnt even come up in the diagnosis. James quickly identified the problem and was able to help explain the other issue I have and how AHSs coverage on that worked. Unlike the first contractor, James was able to submit the correct diagnosis and AHS quickly approved it. The repairs were made the same day as the inspection and approval, and everything worked out great. Really appreciate the dillegence and generally how fast things went once assigned to A-US. Wish they had been the original contractor all along.

This company is unprofessional and isnt knowledgeable about fixing HVAC systems. They came to fix our AC several times, gave us an incorrect diagnosis, and almost convinced us that we needed to rip apart our walls to fix the issue. Glad we called another company, who was able to fix the issue on their first visit in less than an hour. We havent had any more issues. Do not trust the positive reviews on Google. Check Yelp! They have 1.5 stars on Yelp! Thats the only reason I thought about calling another company. If youre using this company through your warranty, you can request a different vendor. Please be smart and do your homework before hiring this company.

I have been out of air in my home since Monday, July 24, 2023. I started contacting AHS Monday morning to set-up a claim. During the original contact, the male representative gave me a date of July 24, 2023 for a contractor to come into my home between 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Needless to say, by 7:00pm no one had shown up at my house. Starting Tuesday, the following day I begin to contact American Home Shield concerning the missed appt. time. The AHS representative, who was not located in the USA contacted a service contractor. The service contractor located in the southern suburban area of Dallas, Tx stated that the would not be able to service me until August 27. Letting them know my health condition the contractor came out to my house a day earlier. Up on entering my house with NO equipment, the contractor goes to my attic, and he moved some of my personal boxes around. He returns from the attic a few minutes later and goes to his car. Returning back from his car, I noticed that he has a drill in his hand. The worker returns to the attic, and commenced to drilling. After I know, the male contractor returns from the attic to tell me that the blower is bad. He also stated that he would have to contact AHS regarding the replacement. The next morning, Thursday, I noticed that in my email AHS posted a pending status on my claim, and someone from the American Home Shield office will contact me in 24-48 hours. Now, Friday, if this same week has come and I am still without air because American Home Shield will not pay for the blower. The representative stated that the reason for nonpayment was due to how the contractor wrote the service repair. After trying all the listed number that I searched, this company only allows their clients to leave a voice message. I even called the parent company of AHS known as Front Door. Front Door would not accept phone calls, and I had to leave a message. I reverted back and called the original contractor located in Duncanville Tx. The female personnel told me to contact AHS back and request 2nd opinion. I did just that and my follow-up appointment that will be by a company out of Garland Tx, that services Dallas and Fort Worth for America Home Shield. The earliest this A/C company will be able to come to my house is Tuesday, August 2, 2023. I accepted the date, because if you allow an outside company, other than who AHS dispatch, AHS will not pay for any of the repairs. I know this quite well because I have been with this company for 30 years. Seems like AHS tries to refuse all or any part of the claim you try to report. So for many individuals like myself, there is really no need to have such warranty insurance or this type of insurance from American Home Shield. The owners and other representatives are just making free monies off their clients! Just giving new prospects on how AHS conduct business. He tells me that it needs a new fan motor and he would be back probably Tuesday, it was Friday morning! So I call AHS to get the report to try and have a different company. The tech stated that the fan motor was bent which caused the unit to overheat and stop working. He said it was due to something which was not normal wear and tear.How would he know any of that b/c he never even opened the unit??? Of course AHS said it was not covered. This AC company did not want to help at all. The technician did not want to work that day!! So Dennis has given this company a bad reputation!! Think about that!! Also the customer service is horrific! I cannot understand them, they lied, telling me they would email me reports but didn’t. I had to request it several times and I still only have one. I would never recommend the company b/c we were without air for an extra week b/c Dennis did not want to work that day!! 5 minutes or less and he was gone! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!I paid for an annual tune up on my furnace. After scheduling an appointment a month in advance they rescheduled the day before and pushed my appointment back an additional 14 days.Once they finally got their technician out here he did his thing and stated everything was good to go. When the technician left my heating no longer worked.They refused to come out and correct the issue stating I needed to pay for another work order to be put in for repairs to my furnace despite my heat working fine before their technician came to visit and their technician saying everything worked fine the day prior.

Had a really great experience with the team serving the Austin area. We initially needed an AC repair, which unveiled some other things we couldnt put off any longer with our old unit. The service technician was so helpful, explained everything we needed to do and help us get set up with a new unit install - and we were quoted a very fair price in my opinion. The techs who installed our unit were great. We had another issue with the condensation pooling with the new unit and they stayed to help us figure out how to at least maintain some AC until we could get another part installed. The next day they reached out to us and said within a day we would have that new part installed. Despite some of these reviews, I feel we had a great experience with these guys. I will def be calling them again when the need arises.

A-US AIR COND OF TEXAS LTDWorst service ever!! Do not use them! Beaumont TX 4/14/2022 tech came out and check on the ac. The tech told us the compressor is leaking and needed replace. We call to follow up on the status another tech told us they are replacing the coil. We are getting two different story on what parts they are repairing. I have been getting the run around for 3 weeks from A-US air conditioner. The tech call me Thursday 5/12/2022 that they have my parts in and schedule to come out for Friday. I ask him when is the next available appointment they said Tuesday. Tuesday come around I havent receive any phone calls from tech prior they arrive to get my air conditioner repair . So I call the tech 4 times and finally someone pick up and I ask if someone was coming out today. The tech told me that the part dept. order the wrong parts and they will have to reschedule me to Thursday and there isnt nothing they can do. Today is Thursday I call the tech again 3 time and left message no one pick up my call. Ive called the customer service to ask for the status if the tech will come out today because they schedule to come out today. She said that I call the day before and cancel the appointment. I didnt call them to cancel my appointment. I ask to speak the manager and the manager said it is pending on the tech. The customer rep transfer me to the tech . The tech was very rude he said he had other customers to attend to I am not the only one. He said the parts havent come in yet and we dont know when we will be out there to get your ac repair. Avoid at all cost to save your time and effort. No professionalism and lack of seriousness. AHS Warranty assigned them to fix my AC. Since they were going to come after 3 days and we issue issue with children having Asthma, we asked them if they can expedite. They asked me to call AHS and request to expedite at no additional cost to me. AHS expedited it immediately and sent them new expedited work order. Also voicemail was sent. I called these guys multiple times and spent more than 4 hrs over 2 days to get hold of someone. In tge end they mentioned they don’t have anyone to come for next 2 days. No communication and no ownership. At the end, I had to get it done outside of warranty and pay hefty amount. They never show up on time and lack professionalism. I should hv learnt already looking at all 1 star reviews. AVOID !!

Awful experience. I’m in the Austin area & use American Home Shield for my home warranty. I received awful service from a technician. He came out twice and did nothing. He originally stated there was an access issue which was preventing him from fixing the blower. He didn’t point out what it was that was preventing access, he simply said he couldn’t get to it and that he would be back in 48 hours. He told my home warranty he couldn’t access the unit and that the resolution would be for me to simply give him access…it was bizarre since he never explained anything directly to me. After some investigating — as I could not figure out what he was talking about — I realized he was talking about a dead bush. Something I could’ve removed within minutes. I don’t want to state the technician’s name because he knows where I live and quite honestly made me feel uncomfortable. He was unprofessional, unhelpful, & clearly doesn’t want to do his job. My home warranty company sent this very poor excuse of a A/C repair service to my home for a simple water leak from the drip pan under my A/C unit. COOLING WAS NOT AN ISSUE. This drip pan was originally installed in year 2001 and had obviously rusted out. This was so obvious!!! Because this leak had caused considerable damage to the ceiling in my home I took my shop vacuum and removed the CONDENSATION from the pan and turned the unit off. Very little condensation but because we live in a very humid area, condensation is normal. Just like your automobile leaking condensation after running the A/C or you glass of tea leaving water rings. Anyway the Tech from A-US Air (Dennis) began with wanting the A/C turned on and he began to check the Freon. Again I didn’t have a cooling issue but I guess the $100 service fee wasn’t enough so he said my unit was 3 pounds low on Freon at $135 per pound that he said was due in cash up front. I asked if he was going to replace the rusted out drip pan and said “not until he adds and gets paid for the Freon”. WHAT A SCAM!!!! I stated I was going to request a second opinion so he abruptly left. Only to use other than normal wear and tear on my drip pan diagnose, thus denying the replacement by my home warranty company. Dennis claimed there should never be water in a drip pan. Although the humidity was approaching 80% and probably 120 degrees in my attic. Even his own service truck was leaking condensation from his A/C. You always hear of the Freon scam but never thought it be so close to home. This is wrong, evil, abuse to the elderly and crooked. If you ever use A-US Air be prepared to bend over!! Oh yes, a friend that is a Texas licensed Heating & A/C Company Owner came over the day after Dennis and A-US Air tried to SCAM me and said my Freon was well within the guidelines and confirmed the rusted out drip pan was from normal wear and tear from 22 years old.One more thing Dennis told me was this is protocol in accordance with American Home Shield to demand up front payment of not needed Freon otherwise deny any other needed repairs.Jim MorganMineola, Tx.

American Home Shield sent a tech to diagnose my heating system because my downstairs floor was not heating. Within 5 minutes of my appointment the tech determined that my motorized damper was not functioning. AHS does not cover this so the out of pocket price to install a new one was quoted from $500 to $800 depending on the work. I hesitated to pay so a week later I had a guy come out that was recommend to me by a co-worker. In less than 5 minutes he had my bottom unit heating and he said there was nothing wrong with my motorized damper. These guys was going to try and get me to pay over $500 for nothing. I purchased a new a/c unit thats not even 1 years old and constantly calling for maintenance. I was told that I have a 10 year warranty, but they didnt mention if ants nothing is covered.Then the tech wanted to charge me $287 for a part. Stay away. Just sad!! He came out on Monday and said nothing was wrong with my unit and the fan stop working by Friday because he took the cover off of the connector on Monday so the ants had time to due damage!! However, even though I have this exact same problem almost every year and I know what needs to be done to resolve it Im not a technician so they know better than I do what needs to be fixed. or so they say. All they did was move the leak from one location to another because they ignored me when I told them what the issue was.Then, when I finally manage to get a hold of my warranty company to send them back out, they outright lied to me over the phone about my appointment. I changed all my plans (I work three jobs and have a life so this is no easy feat) to accommodate them on the evening my appointment was scheduled for. They try to come hours earlier, when I am at work (I couldnt switch this shift) and it suddenly becomes my fault that my appointment cant be kept because the rest of the week I cannot rearrange to accommodate them. They hung up on me multiple times, and blame me for being furious over their poor excuse for customer service.

Do not in my opinion even consider using this company! American home shield sent this company to our house to evaluate the air conditioner that quit working. The technician walked in opened the cabinet door stood there for about 20 seconds turned around walked into the garage looked at the breaker panel to make sure that the breakers were on walked up to me and said it’s an electrical issue I’m not an electrician I will submit the paperwork and one will come out. I ask him with the suspense time on that happening since this was a Friday night before a holiday weekend and he said usually by the end of the afternoon . Lie number one. For those of you who don’t know Texas summers they’re quite warm…the next week when we still had no air-conditioning I contacted home shield and this air conditioning company, was told that they were just waiting for the paperwork to be submitted. I called pretty much every day for about a week and a half always got the same story we cannot do anything until we have the paperwork submitted. Finally going into week two I called US air conditioning directly requested to speak to a manager they gave me to someone who told me her name was Jaime. Jaime was quite frankly a snot, argued with me saying that the technician said that the unit wasn’t working because there was no filter in place. Lie again, I asked to speak to her immediate supervisor and was put on the phone with the individual that said his name was Rob. Rob was so arrogant on the telephone you could almost see him smiling on the other end as he was telling me that the air conditioner wasn’t working because the technician said that there was not a filter in place and that it was due to lack of maintenance. Lie number three because I had just changed (a few weeks prior) the air conditioning filter. He then proceeded to tell me that the coils were completely fouled because there was no filter in place next lie. The only way that you could’ve seen the coils is if you had remove the filter that was still in place that the technician never removed In orderto view the coils. When I explained to him that I read the reviews and that what he was telling me was almost Word for Word to other complaints in the reviews and it appeared that he was cutting and pasting the report because obviously the technician never looked at anything the conversation ended. I then called American home shield and let them know that I was concerned giving my money to them because obviously from the reviews they work hand-in-hand with US air conditioning and are aware of the numerous complaints and that the only thing that it would lead me to believe is that they are working together so American home shield would not have to pay out and make good on the insurance policies. Requested another company meet to come out to inspect the air conditioning unit where I was told by American home shield that if in fact they found the same thing it would be another $125 deductible charge which I was not concerned with because I knew that they were in fact not going to find the exact same thing and they did not and subsequently the report that the second company submitted to American home shield the same day they came out by the way, was approved and we received a new air conditioning unit. If American home shield attempts to send out US air conditioning company to your home I would strongly suggest that you demand a different company and read the reviews before they show up at your door.

We were put into contact with this company through American Home Shield and they are so rude. They wont give you a specific time to come out. They just said their techs would be calling at 6 pm to tell me what time they would be showing up the following day. I told dispatch I needed to know a timeframe so I could schedule time off from my job to be at the house and she said it didnt work that way. So I waited for 6 pm and the call never came. The tech didnt TEXT until 7:45 pm letting me know the time he would be at our house. While I was waiting for the call, I checked out the reviews and saw how bad this company really is. Seeing as how the communication was already going in a negative direction, I canceled immediately with American Home Shield. Hoping this company is able to fix its business ethics of how they do business and treat customers.

TLDR; They came for AC repair and left with us with a condemned HVAC system and a carbon monoxide leak that could have killed our entire family.A-US Air was our assigned contractor through American Home Shield. They were first dispatched when our system failed to cool the house - this was an emergency request from our home warranty as we have an infant sleeping in the house. The first visit was 5 minutes long, they told us our air filter was clogged, and left. When the issue persisted, they were dispatched again (cant get a new contractor or the home warranty wont pay) a few days later. This time, it was determined that the evaporator coil needed to be replaced - in a separate visit, after a weekend delay. On the third visit they replaced the evaporator coil and performed $2000 worth of additional repairs to get our system up to code - not covered by our home warranty. The house still could not cool, so they came out again (after another week delay) - this assessment revealed a blockage (?), another part needed (?), and another week delay. On the fifth visit, they did the previously mentioned repairs, and despite my asking them not to leave before we could confirm that the system was working, they left. The house still did not cool. Despite emergency classification from my home warranty, they would not send a tech back out because they had other customers scheduled. Their emergency line doesnt answer the phone, and if they do they try to schedule you as they would a non-emergent customer.Finally, at our breaking point, we called a contractor ourselves. While A-US Air did not have the staffing to send someone out (on an emergency request that they failed to solve over the course of 5 visits in one month) the new company had me scheduled same day within 5 minutes. After thoroughly evaluating our system, they called out a number of areas where A-US Air had performed shoddy workmanship: they had installed the wrong size evaporator coil, the meter that ensures appropriate level of refrigerant flows in was installed incorrectly, sealing was done incorrectly, and - to top it all off - the flue pipe that removes carbon monoxide from our heating system was left unsecured. The latter issue could have killed us in our sleep. I should also add that the HVAC system is installed right next to our infant daughter’s room. A-US Air effectively totaled our system, with the cost to repair their wrongdoings being greater than the cost of our system.This is a long review, but words cannot express the degree of negligence and incompetency that we experienced with this company.

Its terrible. Its an AC tune up service from the home warranty. Before the technician came, the machine was working fine. After finishing the tune up, the guy said everything was good. But after he had gone, the AC didnt work. When I called him, he didnt want to respond and just asked me to tell the home warranty. Update- I had another company service my unit and get a second opinion. The feedback was extremely concerning! US Air told me my unit needed Freon, which was a lie. It was actually over by 2.5 lbs which could have caused major issues within pressure limits. Also, the only repair that was needed was a fan motor. US-Air lied about what repairs were needed to just make a quick dollar. Extremely unethical company!DO NOT let American home shield send this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Ive had technicians come to my home twice in the last month and my air conditioner is still not working. The first time they came, I was told a part needed to be replaced. A few days later I received a call from someone trying to sell me a whole new unit. I decided to just have to part replaced for now. A week or two later the air conditioner stopped working again and a technician came and said the freon was low but didnt notice any leaks. Now the ac is not working again. This morning I called and spoke to some rude man to schedule a time for a technician to come out AGAIN. He cut me off everytime I tried to explain the situation and refused to make this a priority despite the issue not being resolved the last two times they came out. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The quality of service is terrible and the man answering the phones is incredibly rude. Unfortunately I am forced to use this company because it was assigned by my home warranty.

Even though I called two times and asked for a timeframe.... the rep said they would be in touch later that day with a timeframe, but never was....so I missed a day of work waiting for them. ...When the technician finally arrived, he was in the attic maybe 5 minutes and returned to say it was fixed...as far as I knew, it was because it worked again..at least until the next day. i had to call American Home Shield again and request service. If I could give this company a -0I would. Their technician came out because our home A/C unit was not cooling. The technician spent about 5 minutes on the unit, so called putting freon in it. He then went back and reported that our duct system under the house had pest damage. He NEVER looked at our ducts. We were told that the technician turned in pictures of our duct system - HE NEVER LOOKED AT OUR DUCTS. This in return caused our home warranty company to deny our claim, as pest damage is not covered on our contract. We had another company come out today and our evaporator coil had gone out. Long story short, we got stuck with this company because of our home warranty. They did not fix the issue the first time they came out (didnt even come close). We called to reschedule and the tech moved the appointment date 3 times. Then on the day he was supposed to come, he showed up 3 hours before the appointment time, when no one was home. Calling the company is no help. I was routinely on hold for 30-45 minutes each time I called and they would just tell me that the techs make their own schedules. He would then call to reschedule and not show up when he said he would. Its been 12 days, who knows how many phone calls, reschedules and missed appointments and my AC is still not fixed.

Through AHS we were assigned Dennis with A-US Air. Dennis arrived the next day exactly when he said he would, he found that the blower motor was out. He ordered a new one while he was here and said 2 days for delivery and hed be back. That was Tuesday, Thursday he called and said he had the motor and asked if he could come put it in. Avoid working with this company if possible. I have been trying to work with them for a week getting my AC fixed through my home warranty. They have been very unprofessional on the phone. I have talked to a couple nice people I do want to mention that. The company actually repaired a leak that I had over a year ago which they access through my crawlspace in my carport. They reported that they did not have access to the unit to the homeowners insurance when in fact they have been up there themselves. It was a different tech than it was the time before and I tried to let them know that they have been up there but it was a different tech but they weren’t hearing it. It’s very frustrating because it is 100° out and I haven’t had air for over a week. I’m at their mercy and no one seems to care. I don’t know if that tech was just being lazy or if I need to cut a hole in my ceiling but no one will get me a straight answer.

Unfortunately, after 8 technician visits, wrong diagnostics, and thousands of dollars spent, our A/C unit is still not fixed. It has been almost 2 months, and it seems that no one at A-US cares about resolving the issue. Even trying to call them is futile as they wont answer. We have decided to report them to the consumer protection authorities here in TX. Its evident (from the Yelp and Google reviews) that we are not the only ones facing similar issues.

If you are on propane and have problems with your mobile home furnace, check the orifice. They installed a brand new furnace for us three years ago. They have come out two to three times every winter. We have gone months waiting for parts. Had another company come out and they changed the natural gas orifice over to propane. Problem solved. We had us air install new furnace because of our American home shield warranty uses them. They need to train their installers better. We have had many cold nights and spent excessive amount of money over 3 years. All from a $10 part. Hopefully this will help somebody with the same problem with a furnace installed by us air conditioning.

On August 2nd A-US Air Conditioning of Texas sent a tech to our home in Garland. The tech. came to fix our AC that stopped working. He took the thermostate apart and left it like that. The tech/company reported to American Home Shield that the thermostat is missing parts. today is August 12th and our AC is still not working. American Home Shield sent another company and the text from the new company would not work on the unite as the thermostat is taken apart and their policy does not allow them to work on the unit until the thermostat is put together by A-US Air.This is a very careless company.

These people sent 3 different techs to my house to repair my unit and failed to do so. Said I needed a part that took over 3 weeks to get here and when it finally arrived, it did not fit. It was not even close to fitting. Then when they showed back up today (6-15) they proceed to tell me I owe them $1300+ dollars to which I replied no, Im not paying that. I then get a call from Chuck saying that he told me about these charges (he did not) when I talked to them to reschedule. He then proceeds to tell me I did not listen to him. He not once mentioned anything about extra charges because our conversation lasted all of 30 seconds and was only about scheduling. He was rude and unprofessional and I do not recommend this company AT ALL!! If your home warranty company uses A-US Air, find someone else.

Jeremy came out for an emergency visit Monday morning when our AC stopped blowing cold air on a Sunday evening. We used home shield and had to call and insist they switch us to A-US because the originally assigned companies wouldn’t accommodate us until later in the week. Luckily the issue wasn’t major and he replaced the refrigerant and repaired the seal. Jeremy also inspected both of our units and was very knowledgeable and informative. He offered several different options for our home based on timing and cost... when other companies have came in and the only option was $5000 total duct replacement and $16,000 for brand new units. We had Jeremy come back out a couple of days later because our house was not cooling down. Not surprised that the issue was the 104 degree weather and poor insulation in our windows. But he showed up right on time and reinspected everything. He also installed a leak guard free of charge because we do have an older unit. I also appreciated that I can go online and book an appointment on their website. Wednesday night I was able to book for Thursday morning. Jeremy called us that evening to confirm the appointment so he wouldn’t have to wake us up earlier. Overall the service was wonderful. Based on our interaction with Jeremy I would strongly recommend this company and plan on using them myself for any future needs. Hopefully not in the near future :)

I was denied by a tech of this company saying I neglected taking care of unit due to 22 ft of flooding . I bought house in 2019 no flood of 22 ft ever on the land or neighborhood would have noticed. I have ACH insurance the unit was worked on 5 years ago. And spring and fall maintenance every year. Apparently he made up a story told insurance to denied me so I would in turn pay them for new AC. Nope nope and NOPE. I called my insurance they are.sending new company for 2nd look at it. I have deed f when i bought houseI have insurance I can have whole neighborhood sign off saying no flooding of 22ft. They lied and fabrication a version of a story with now proof. Do not trust this company.

We bought our home 4 years ago and not one out of the 6 HVAC companies AHS has sent to us has ever resolved our issue. This man was here 20 min amn bam! Done. I think he may he a super hero we have air. And I am never going to accept anyone other than this company and our tech.

Ok. This is an update from a previous review that my wife posted. This company is certainly not making things right. We bought a new AC system from these guys LAST SUMMER and it was incorrectly installed. They took forever to fix it and just when we thought all of the damage was fixed (yes, they caused dammage to the house and it was fixed THIS WEEK), we find that there is a leak stemming from the pipes that feed through the roof! The incompetence in this company is rampant. The ONLY people we have been happy with are Anthony (a senior tech that diagnosed all of the bad mechanical issues) and the painters (from Dallas) that they sent to patch up a previously wet area in the wall that was caused by the faulty installation. DO NOT BOTHER with these people. We have never received an apology for this craziness and every time we are told that a manager/supervisor will get back with us, they never do. They DO send someone to fix things but, obviously, thats no good if the fixes dont work. Weve had about half a dozen visits from these people since the end of the summer and the problems just keep coming. We stated in the previous post that wed be contacting the BBB if this was not made right. Looks like its time to make good on that.

Ive had 4 interactions with this company in Beaumont, TX. The worst part about them is how bad they are at scheduling. They can never give me even a range of times they are available until the night before. Then, they dont want to respect the times Im not available during the day until Im forceful about it. On my second incident the first guy didnt find all of the problems, and he delayed coming so long that it was well after my home warranty company had closed and he couldnt get approval to do the repair. The second guy was friendly and only repaired what the first guy said was wrong. That means he missed another problem. The third guy fixed the problem, but broke the ladder to my attic, left my attic entrance open all day leaking air, then didnt call me back when I called to ask him to fix it. Each of these three appointments took time for me to schedule and led to me losing money on the room I rent out. I would never use them again if I had the chance.

My technician was great! He was professional, above the best service, and made sure I was a satisfied customer. It speaks volumes of a service technician who comes to your home and listens to what you have to say (what your A/C unit is/is not doing) even if you dont know how to explain in his terminology, at least you feel he is hearing you out. And the technician then began diagnosing my unit. He was great and very courteous. Thank you A-US Air of Texas for sending me one of your BEST TECHS.

Assigned through American Home Shield. My AC went out and the technician came two days later. He was great; knowledgeable and professional. Stated he had to turn in diagnosis for approval and they would call within 48 hours to schedule coming out. After 48 hours, I called for an update. By this point, its been 4 days without AC and 90° in my house and my kid has gotten ill from the heat. They said they didnt have approval. So I called AHS and they called the company to tell them to submit diagnosis for approval. I called this company back and she told me shed get it done within a day. I said it needed to be expedited; Id already waited 48 hours and my child is getting ill. She said it would be done once we got off the phone. I waited about 30 minutes and called back to see if it had been completed, and she said another department does it and they have 48 hours to complete and submit, and there was a long line in front of me and Id just have to wait. By then I was furious and angry, and asked shouldnt it be expedited since Id already waited the 48 hours, and she said no, theres a lot of other customers in front of me and I just have to keep waiting. She was rude by the 3rd time I called, but to be fair, so was I. I called AHS back, and they called them and told them this is critical, and for it to be submitted today. At this point, Im doubting it will get done.

My experience with this tech was excellent. Michael sent me text message the night before and told me a time frame (within 2 hours) of when he would be at my home. He was on time, ask me to explain what was going on, and explained what was happening with my system. He then performed a check of the system and advised me that all appeared to be in good order. The system was a little low on Freon, which he corrected. The whole process took about an hour. Mike was courteous, knowledgeable and quick. Over all, very pleased with service.

Was assigned this company for AC repair by American Home Shield. Appointment made for Tuesday. Received text saying technician was on the way. I was already home at the time. Waited 50 minutes so called to see if there had been a delay. The Philippines-based agent told me that a woman called in and said they couldnt make the appointment. There is no woman in my house. After 45 minutes with the agent and supervisor finally transferred to Garland based staff. He was rude, never apologized for the error on their part and made no effort to make the situation right. If it had been my fault I might have understood but this was obviously on them. He offered a future appointment but how do I trust that when I take off from work again that this wont happen again. My home warranty company is waiting on a full diagnostic report from A-US Air in order to proceed with authorization for the repair/upgrade. If American home shield sends this company “be cautious” Make sure you get everything in writing before they leave. Both are complete scammers. All of our video cameras recorded the conversation stating we needed a new ac unit. After a week of back and forward with AHS. US-air tried to tell us they never stated we needed a new unit. Both are scammers. Don’t trust at all. It’s 110 degrees. They don’t care about you.

This company was recommended through American Homeshield. They came out and diagnosed the issue with my AC. However, when I got the cost breakdown from AHS, I was being charged for things that arent applicable to my area. I called the technician, and he confirmed that I was being charged for permit fees, etc. I then called my city and was reassured that they dont require permits to fix AC units. When I called the technician back and told him what the city said, he literally said,Oh yeah, I was about to call you back. Youre right. Your area doesnt require permits, and it isnt included in your cost. When I questioned that he and AHS said it was, he said that definitely wasnt included. So, I called AHS, and yes. A-US Air was going to charge for pulling a permit. I know its only an additional $325, but because of the dishonesty, I dont trust this company and will be going with someone else!

I wish I was allowed to rank this place with zero stars but you have to give a star in order to post a review. Im so angry and frustrated with this company. My ac wasnt getting cool so I called American Home Shield and they sent the most incompetent tech Ive ever seen. He put in my air filter which is something my 7yo son normally does. My ac unit isnt cooling therefore its constantly running and he just LEFT. Didnt say goodbye, didnt explain what he did which was NOTHING, I didnt even get his name. Im writing out of sheer anger so this review is probably coming off incoherent but I can say as clear as day. Youre taking a huge chance with using this company and they use a 3rd party offshore to take their calls so good luck with getting someone who actually knows anything about hvac or your particular situation. Find another company is my best adviceUpdate June 29,2024:After careful thought and much prayer, I decided to go out on my own and find another company to inspect my hvac system. They have a 4.8 star rating and it shows when in communication with them. The tech came out and discussed everything that was wrong. His uniformed looked clean and he took pride in his job, NOTHING like A-US Air! A-US Air keeps calling nonstop to schedule an appointment to install an upgraded coil and condenser/compressor- Im ignoring them like theyve ignored me. Ive actually decided to get a whole new ac system thanks to the financing the new company offered which is through a reputable financial institution AND the price was accompanied by a low interest rate. I wish AHS would stop using this company but the real gag is that good reputable businesses DO NOT want to work with AHS so theres that 🙃 ...read these reviews- go somewhere ELSE

Where to begin. It’s been over a week and my Central AC is still not working and this is after three “attempts” by A-US Air service technicians to diagnose and Nguyen the problem at my home.It all started a week ago when my upstairs unit stopped blowing cold air. I went to the compressor outside to find the hose, feeding the unit from the home, covered in ice. I requested service through my home warranty company and A-US Air was assigned this Job. The first tech arrived, saw the unit was iced up and left.They came the next day, same tech. I wasn’t able to be at my home so I scheduled another family member to be here. He arrived an hour outside the four hour repair window...no call. He went to the outside compressor, for 5 minutes and 12 seconds. He was able to check Freon levels, remove an obstruction, and check the inner working a of the compressor. In 5 minutes and 12 seconds. How do I know the exact time? I have it on camera. Now, I cannot finish much of anything in 5 minutes and 12 seconds and I’m 46 years old.He walked around the driveway for a little while, walked inside, turned on the unit, and left. All done...right? 10 hours later, frozen unit.Recalled.New tech shows up, replaces a compass Er switch that was “weak”, guess the first tech missed that. All done...right? 10 hours later....frozen unit...Recalled. The morning of the third recall, “Michael” calls from A-Us and says they’ve fixed the unit now twice and any repairs are between myself and my warranty company. I define the term “fixed” for the young man and let him know that the warranty co has already been notified and they’ve already been assigned to come back out to “service” the unit.An hour later...the job was cancelled by A-US air.So, a new company was called in, and guess what, low on Freon....works fine.All because A-Us air doesn’t want to do their job, for their own negotiated contracted rate through a warranty company. If you are saddled with this company by your warranty service company for any service call, request, no....DEMAND, a new company. You will be thankful in the end.

My first call for service to my home warranty was 2/19/21. A-US Air was assigned to fix it. It is now 3/16/21 and my heater is still not fixed. And they can’t tell me when it will be fixed. Still waiting on some part that they say has been ordered. But it is not coming in for some reason. I’ve been told that for 3 weeks now. They don’t care. A-US Air is terrible at communicating ANYTHING. I called last Thursday because I was told that I should be on the schedule for Friday and I needed to know a time. Well the office couldn’t provide that. And I was told that the tech would call me after 6 pm Thursday night. No call, nothing. So I waited until noon to call them on Friday to get a time estimate and was told oh the part didn’t come in. And that we have you back on the schedule for Tuesday the 16th. I asked why no one contacted me to tell me the tech wasn’t coming on Friday and I got no real answer. No apology. Even though I took off work to be home for the appointment. I still have yet to hear from them regarding my service today. Customer service is a complete joke and I’m still stuck with a broken heat pump with no real estimate on when it will be fixed.

Had a technician come out after calling my home warranty company. The guy came in, opened the door to my unit and said he knew exactly what was wrong. Seemed a little fast but he is supposed to be the expert. He said it would need a couple parts and would have to call our home warranty company to see if they would cover it. I thought this was reasonable and he said he would email us by end of day. All he did was CLOSE our request saying he had solved the problem and will not respond to text, email or phone calls. Very unprofessional.

The repairman was great. Very prompt and respectful. Explained everything thoroughly to me. Their dispatch and customer service is awful. I received a call from dispatch and I was trying to determine if I needed to have a repairman come back out or can they just document my work order. He cut me off and informed me that he was not a technician in a very rude manner - I explained I understand that but Im just trying to figure out if I need someone to come back or not - he read the notes from the technician (which I had originally) read to him and said the technician notes the issue they see with an attitude. I continued to explain that the casing around the coils was rusted with holes in it and I didnt see that documented. Can he just make note thats the issue and let them determine if someone needs to come out. But he wouldnt let me finish he was argumentative and rude. I ended up just calling the repairman on the cell number he called me on when he came out and he explained that when they replace the coils the casing is replaced as well. Simple as that. I dont know if they hire prisoners to do their dispatch, but their customer service skills are horrible.

Inadequate services with attempt to just get rid of the situation without real resolution. Through AHS, had them a couple years ago and quick fix was just refill coolant (R410) which obviously the home warranty firms don’t cover. A great collective scam. Similar issue last year and then again this year. After several push backs and humble requests, emphasized to rather identify the root cause (this is 3 years in making, 3 service fees and several hundred dollars for multiple refills).. anyways, finally I told an issue has been identified and was asked to sign on something without any details. Then get about $3k estimate for the coil change, which AHS wouldn’t cover. Overall both AHS and A-US could have done much better, should they have focused on resolving the issue rather punting the problem at hand. Anyways, do not suggest using either. Please do your due diligence and do not trust their rapid pass it on diagnosis.
