Made everything so easy and explained all and answered my questions. So pleased I went with this company and absolutely recommend them. Picture it, the middle of the night in winter, the heat goes out and the Arctic blast is in route. Needless to say I was a mess.I saw a lot of good reviews with this company and took a chance. And Im glad I did! One of the best experiences that I have had in all the years! Customer service is top-notch. I was able to make an appointment online and they contacted me the next day to get further clarification. Immediately I was feeling a little better given the situation.On the day of service (less than 24 hours), they sent a text letting me know that technician Jon was in route. My doorbell rang and there stood Jon. Let me tell you, his professionalism and likability put me at ease.Jon looked over everything ran his diagnostic and with lightning precision determined the issue. He explained the process, the cost and all the options. Swiftly, he fixed the problem and I now have heat right before the Arctic blast is about to hit! There needs to be more people like this company and Jon. Jon is a great asset to them, he makes them look good.This company and Jon impressed me so much that I am sticking with them for servicing my HVAC system and for my future purchase of a new system. . . because its almost time.If you need help with your HVAC system, dont hesitate to contact them. Highly recommend! The crew came by and had my system replaced with a 2hr turnaround and the work was professional. Ted drove to my house to meet me and shake my hand, check on his crew to see they were good and verify the install. The work and parts are guaranteed. I was extremely comforted from the very initial service appointment all the way to the end. This is a company that knows how to do business the right way. You will not be disappointed and youll get your moneys worth.

Have used these guys for a number of years, but recently charged me $387 to install a simple thermostat which took under 30 minutes. Charged me $323 for install then, a $75 diagnostic charge?...which to me should be part of the install, as in making sure it works once you install it should be part of the deal, not extra!. Now that it is still not working they are saying it likely needs a mother board as well. Also never shared a quote prior to the install, I figured it would be like $200 for the install, but not $323.00, plus the service call/diagnostic for $75. Called them to question charges, and see if they would waive the $75, but they said they would not make any adjustments to keep our business. Guess that is their business decision make, but we wont be going back...

Manny, the lead installer arrived early and assessed the situation. Asked for the location of the access to the attic where existing equipment was located. When the rest of the team arrived, work began on two fronts and progressed effectively and efficiently. Manny communicated with updates several times and again to notify me of completion. The folks at Garland Heating and Air are lifesavers! A local company that is honest, trustworthy, responsive and they truly care about their customers. I came home late on a Monday to a hot house. It was already after hours but I took a chance and called anyway. The answering service took my message and shortly thereafter Andy called and I described my problem to him. He said that someone would be out the next day. The next morning (Tuesday) Ted came out went over the different options and their pros and cons. I decided on a two-stage system based on Ted’s recommendation. The next morning (Wednesday), Manny and his crew were out a little before 8am. They had the new equipment installed, inside and outside by 10am. Overall fast response and excellent service by all involved in the middle of a hot Texas summer. Thanks Garland Heating and Air!

We could by a car or have a fabulous vacation for the cost of something that you can’t live without these days.

They were very quick. They showed up for the appointment ahead of the designated time. They also diagnosed the problem really quickly. Fast and efficient.Update: Jon De La Rosa came out to fix my issue with my unit a day later which was only because they had to order the part. Again on time, and fair pricing. He was in and out in about 30 minutes or so. He communicated what he needed to do and showed pictures once everything was done. Quick and easy and saved me from melting in this heat. Great service all around.

During the heat of the day the AC unit struggles to maintain household temperature below 80. Jon from GH&AC came by to check. He tested the unit, which he tells me is operating within normal parameters. Rather than telling me I need another unit, he walked the property and determined the issue to be my lack of adequate roof ventilation. I work in a mobile service industry, and I can attest that there are shady companies out there. Garland Heating & Air Conditioning is not one of them.10/24/24 Update: Jon came back for the annual furnace inspection, which passed with flying colors. The best compliment I can give Jon is that he is skilled at his job, affable, and an all-around decent human being. What more can I ask for? Ill work with GH&AC until I sell the house or die, whichever comes first. :-)12/26/24 The ball bearings for the furnace blower were failing. Knowing preventive maintenance is better than waiting for it to crap out at 1 AM, I called GH&AC. They ordered the part on 12/22 and Francisco G installed it on 12/16. Again, super fast (18 minutes) and professional without being stuffy. GH&AC turnaround is fast (within 1 hour of the original request), every technician Ive had here is super friendly, and they all seem to like where they work. Call them. You wont be disappointed.

I called Garland Heat & Air this morning after 11 am. They had a technician here by 1:30. He quickly diagnosed the ac problem as a faulty capacitor. He replaced it and checked out the unit. Everything was working again by 2:30 I’ve used GH&A for years. They always do great work

Very very unprofessional people, charging so much hiding fee and expending time for no reason and charging time, for small things bring long list to fix it and scare you if you not fix it cost you $10000 , they was asking $3500 they said we fixed your AC I did not pay that I only paid $800 and my AC work only 3 day .I called another company asking for everything $750 .And one year labor warranty , see the difference 750 to $3500 and no warranty.Tech was unprofessional all the time calling some oneif i could I would give them zero star

We had our entire duct work system replaced at a very competitive bid. David bid the job and was very knowledgable and answered every question I had. David and his coworker David (Dave) both were out today and completed the install and everything was left clean and all old duct work was removed. We have never had that much volume of air coming out our vents until today, no more space heater in the master bathroom! Office staff very friendly and we had our bid the very next day. This company has been around for many years and they come highly recommended, wished we found them sooner!

He came over to our home knowing we may have a problem with our motherboard according to another service company. TOO PRICEY! I should have canceled from the get-go. I had scheduled my appointment for Monday morning and when the storm came in,they decided to call Monday an emergency ...then they called and asked me if I had an emergency. I said yes, as I had been without heat for 3 days at that point. So they told me. I would have to pay an emergency fee, not thrilled, especially when the office person told me that money talks. But I needed service. I agreed to pay it. Unfortunately, the tech got there and decided that he had to up charge me for the thermostat that he placed on the home by $200. Then he could not find the problem. Spent another two hours fumbling around my home doing nothing and charged me an extra one hundred seventy-five dollars on top of the service call upcharge and thermostat up charge All said and done I paid this guy over 600 hundred dollars and still didnt have heat. I had to call another company the next day. Only to find out that their technician did not set my thermostat for the heat pump, did not put wires back together in the condenser, and thats why it wouldnt run. These people are no better than a chuck in a truck, but they want to charge like they really do something. Save yourself, call someone else.

I asked for a quote on 6 separate occasions over the course of a year to add one 8 damper and 6-8 feet of 8 flex duct to single duct and when I finally got a quote back it was for $1500. Now I am a Mechanical Engineer that designs and calculates the cost of HVAC systems for a living and I can tell you without a doubt that the material cost should be about $200 at the most. I called and asked why the price is 750% times the cost of material and all I got was that was the price of labor. I tried to explain that this is for just one single duct run and the amount of labor would be minimal, but Kelly wasnt having or hearing any of it. Mind you paid them around $20,000 to repair and replace both my units last year and was pretty happy with their work. Pretty upsetting to get such short and rude responses after giving them $20,000 of work.Ill say the tech guys that came to the house to repair and check on my unit were great, but if your looking for AC company that will stick with you and not upcharge you after you replace or repair your AC unit I would look somewhere else.

My AC unit went out last week, so I contacted Garland Heating and Air Conditioning to have it checked. They provided a quote and proceeded with the installation. However, two days later, my wife detected a gas odor coming from the indoor unit. Upon inspection, she found a definite gas leak. Concerned, she called the fire department to inspect the gas lines. They discovered a leak in the gas valve of the brand new AC unit and identified several major safety hazards related to the installation.The fire department advised us to shut off the gas and promptly contact the company. They also pointed out significant damage in the units installation, suggesting it should have been replaced instead of being makeshift and reused. Additionally, they showed us that the return leading out of the closet was touching wood. The fire department emphasized the improper installation and recommended an immediate inspection.We immediately informed Garland Heating and Air about the issue. They sent someone over within a couple of hours. Initially, the representative was defensive, but he acknowledged the mistakes once we showed him the errors. Currently, I am patiently waiting for the company to rectify the situation.I urge caution when dealing with Garland Heating and Air Conditioning. Make sure to have a thorough inspection of the installation. I am incredibly thankful to my wife for detecting the gas leak and contacting the fire department. Our family was in danger, and we were unaware of it. I hope this incident serves as a learning opportunity for the installation crew, and I hope other customers receive a safe product from them.

After almost 2 years of having ZERO air flow in my master bedroom and bathroom, after having a brand new unit installed from Garland Heating and Air, and them being aware of the problem, David got our ducts rerouted yesterday afternoon. For the first time since having the new unit installed, me and my husband were actually able to sleep comfortably without sweating. This team was great to work with and did a really nice job in replacing our duct system and doing what another reputable AC company said was too difficult for their company to work on. I gave them a four rating primarily because it took them a couple of times of coming back to make things fully right. However, they did so willingly and completed the job to our satisfaction. We purchased a new system from garland heating and air in August 2022. A month after installation our AC stopped working, when I called for service I was initially told I would have to pay a $75 service fee, when I explained I had just paid $10k a month ago they decided not to charge it. The technician who came out was not one that had done our installation, after inspecting he found that the freon level was low because of an error that was made during installation and he fixed it and assured there were no other issues.In September 2023 my husband heard a pop from our indoor unit and smelled something burning, our AC went out again. When I called I was told because our labor warranty had just expired a month prior, we would be charged a $150 service fee since it was a Saturday. I dont know any companies that charge a fee for existing customers but it was 100 degrees and we wanted our AC fixed. The technician determined the AC blower motor and transformer in the interior unithad blown and needed replaced, he told us that these parts in this particular unit were known to be faulty and that a wire had been run incorrectly causing it to rub against the metal. Were then told the parts have to be ordered and it could be another 3-5 days until we have AC again, there was nothing else they could do for us in the meantime. We were quoted $450 for the labor to replace those parts since the part warranty is 10 years. Again, I didnt feel it was right we were being charged ANYTHING on a brand new system but, again, we needed AC and knew wed have to pay for the parts elsewhere. When the parts came in installation was scheduled promptly, as it should be, and we were grateful. Unfortunately we were met with more bad news- the circuit board was out and needed replaced as well. Another possible 3 day wait. At this point the company should have done the right thing and taken responsibility for the fact that they sold a faulty system.I called to speak with the owner because I felt the company needed to take responsibility seeing how this system is basically brand new and was passed off to the manager, Andy. I told him that it sounded like something was not installed correctly to which he blamed the manufacturer. After voicing my concerns about the quality and safety of the system and complaints with the manager, he informed me that they no longer even sold that unit due to its faults and that they had done everything they could to fix this for us ASAP. When I told him how inconvenienced we had been by this whole ordeal being 5 days without AC in 90+ weather, he said they only rush if its an emergency like elderly and small children. I told him about my 3 children under the age of 6 and how we had spent money on a portable unit, then he told me oh, we have those we lend to customers, wish I would have known. So the multiple times I spoke with Kelly in the office and asked her how long my kids and I would be without AC it never crossed any of their minds to offer one of their portable air conditioners for an existing customer going multiple days without AC. I wish I had never done business with this company and I would advise anyone to look elsewhere for their AC needs.

I cant speak to the actual service, but do not advertise 24/7 emergency service when you dont actually offer that. I called the call center at roughly 8:30 PM tonight because my AC is out, it is now 12:30 and I have yet to hear anything from them.Edit: Im really impressed the company managed to know the temperature inside my house, without ever stepping foot in it. Also Im pretty sure the customer is the one who decides what is an emergency for their house not you. Not to mention it is supposed to be in the 90s tomorrow, so if my AC is not working until about 12 based on your estimate, my house might actually become an emergency based on your criteriaAnd no where on your website does it say you decide what is or is not an emergency, only that you offer 24/7 emergency service. You choosing to ignore a call for over 14 hours goes against that, and would seem to be false advertisement, which could easily lead to a Deceptive Trade Practices lawsuit. But please write another condescending response and see what happens.Also the fact you respond quicker to a Google review than an actual call tells me all I need to know about your company, and will be sharing it with everyone I know (and some people I dont)

When my 24-year old system decided it had lived a good life but was now done, I naturally called GHAC. Their price quote wasn’t the cheapest nor was it the most expensive. Because of my great service for over 20 years I chose GHAC.5 stars to my sales person Ted for not trying to squeeze every dime out of me. We talked about the pros and cons of a 2-stage system and how long it would take to recoup the extra cost. Another company said I absolutely needed to change my duct work because it was dirty. Ted took a peek at my ducts, disagreed, and said to save that expense. He suggested to get the new system in and then see if there were air flow problems before spending an extra $3k. Ted was right! During the install I got a good look into my ducts and saw that they were indeed quite clean (HEPA filters really do work). Ted was also ALWAYS responsive, kind, courteous, friendly, listened actively, and answered my dozens of questions. I never felt pressure.4 stars for the install. The install crew did a decent job however I have a few gripes which knocked off a star. Without getting into details, the issues were with a crimped duct connection to the plenum, mastic sealing only on the easily-accessible ducts, and a loose support strap holding up the center (heaviest) section). Per my request to fix these issues, Ted sent a technician (not an install person) to me the next day.5+ stars for my technician David. David did such an AMAZING job finishing up the sealant, sealing in extra places, and tightening up the loose strap. He went above and beyond what I pointed out needed fixing, and did super high-quality work. David was also friendly, kind, and patient answering my questions. I will request to have him service my unit every time. He is a gem!Thank you GHAC for ultimately a great job. I love my new system and look forward to another 20+ years of business.

I had a blower motor go out on a furnace that is about 3 years old and under warranty. GH&A was not the original systems installer, but was responsive to me for providing repair services. They came out that afternoon to confirm the issue that the fan motor had failed. They procured the part and installed it the next day and I was only charged for the labor since the part was under warranty. Between the service call and next days repair, GH&A was on site for about ~1hr in total and the total charges for labor were about $525. Im assuming there is some billable time for filling warranty papers, and picking up the parts, but the labor charge felt a bit high for the amount of time on site. GH&A was professional and fairly good at communicating who and when they would be arriving for the work.Edit in response to the Owners comment noting that the OEM parts they use are more expensive than generic parts:I would understand the cost more if I was paying for parts, but the equipment was covered by a parts warranty so I should have only been paying for labor costs. The amount I paid for labor was high for the amount of time on site.

Thank you for your services, but there are gaps you might be working on it in the future.Once someone visits the customer site, have to put down everything at once, issues, fixes, costs, and Greerlabor fees. I have written three checks to fix one issue. Diagnosis-free, blower motor replacement fee, switchboard replacement. Our AC unit stopped cooling our home and we had Garland Heating & Air Conditioning come out to check it. David, Jon and Dave all came on a couple different visits. They were fantastic! They were able to troubleshoot the problem, explain it to me and give me options. They replaced a blown out fan motor and added some refrigerant. AC is working great again.As opposed to the large big box companies in Dallas that don’t want to fix and push to buy a whole new unit. I would definitely recommend Garland Heating & Air Conditioning as they will be honest with you if your unit can be fixed or if it really does need to be replaced.

We agreeded upon a $175 trip charge which included 30 minutes diagnostic, they chargedme $300 total an extra 1 hour diagnostic and texh was only at the property 20 minutes. I had waited for more than 4.5 hour for someone to come instead of going to a hotel or a friends home since my home is 52 degrees right now. I’ve been waiting since 2pm for you to show up. As a home service business owner myself, this is absolutely terrible service. I understand you’re busy, backed up, and the roads are bad but it is up to your office to keep your customers informed and not to promise to show up and call back but fail to deliver on both of those promises.

JUST PASTING MY LAST REVIEWI called last Wednesday to schedule an appointment, I had it scheduled for Tuesday 7/25/23, received a text message confirming Job de La rosa was coming between 3:30-6:30. Yesterday I called to add my card on file for them to take the payment from my card when I got paid, I call around 5pm today and the lady tells me I’m not on there appointments. They did not mention that yesterday when I explained the reason for my call. I tried to let her know I even had the confirmation text message, my house stays 85 and above all day I have a 4 month old and a 4 year old. There was nothing they could do, I called a week in advance. I took off the day to get this situated. I work Monday thru Friday. And I have a 724 electricity bill I need to deal with because the air is pushing to cool off but it doesn’t , so I do not have the “emergency hour” money. So I lost time at work, money I needed towards my bills, just for no body to even come.

After seeing the benefits - dramatically reduced downtime! - of regularly scheduled maintenance on the huge roof units at work, I decided to start having GH&A do twice-a-year maintenance on my home HVAC system. They’re here when they say they’re going to be here - do a thorough cleaning and inspection of the equipment, and if needed, give solid advice on things that need to be watched and or added to prevent an HVAC malfunction cause structural damage (in my case, a cooling shutoff switch for if the main drain line from the evaporator coil pan gets clogged - will shut off the compressor to keep water from damaging the flooring or foundation).The three years that I’ve worked with GH&A on my business units has given me a lot of trust that they know what they’re doing and are honest about any work that needs to be done or equipment that needs replacing.

I called these folks for a second opinion when a certain large A/C company told us we needed a whole new HVAC system ($10,000!). The other companys tech wouldnt even measure the refrigerant levels after I asked and tried to rush me on a price.So I called Garland Heating & A/C. Late last night, my AC was making so much noise I had to turn it entirely off as to not wake the neighbors. I called GH&A at 8 am and had Weston at my door before 9. Garland Heating and Air Conditioning has a good group of employees. We have had experience with about 4 different employees and they have all been professional, courteous and friendly. They usually come while I am at work, and my wife (who is very wary of having repairmen in the house) trusts them. Our go-to guy was Greg Utley (who is no longer there) and he was great. We had a good experience with Raphael yesterday when our condenser was making a strange noise. These guys have never tried to sell me anything like other HVAC places I wont mention by name. If there was a problem, Im sure Garland HVAC would let me know, but they are not deceptive like these other companies. Their goal is to service the a/c and furnace twice a year at a competitive price and keep their clients comfortable and happy. They always offer to change my filter (I buy my own MERV 15 filters) but dont try to sell me overpriced filters. If there is an emergency, they get there pretty quick. The gentleman that answers the phone (I think his name is David) is professional and knows what hes doing. I trust Garland Heating, my wife trusts them and they have kept our a/c and heater running well. What more can you ask for? I would definitely recommend Garland Heating & Air!

AC unit was spilling water when on so I called them to inspect. Was told I had to replace the unit outside and inside my house for $7500 cause they were very old - the person who called me to give me the quote said she would send a breakdown of it to my email but I never got anything (that was 2 days ago). Anyway, I wasn’t gonna just shell out $7500 to the first person who asks me. So I called another AC business to get a 2nd opinion the same day. They flushed the condensation drain, cleaned the drain pipes, and installed a safety switch - all that fixed the issue and I have no more water spilling. That cost wayyyyyy less than $7500. If i could give more stars I would. Our unit was only 9 years old but our dog, unbeknownst to us, was using the unit as his personal urinal, thus, destroying the coils and causing the freon to leak, quickly. We called Garland Heating and Air on late Thursday afternoon and we had a technician out within the hour. We received the bad news and were given several options. But not before they researched, just by chance, if Carrier may cover the coils under warranty. Carrier wouldnt, of which I would not expect them to but was very appreciative that GHA tried.Knowing we had to replace the coils or the condenser, we chose the condenser. However, GHA could have told us they would have to replace the entire heating and A/C system and we would not have known the difference. But they didnt!!!!!!! What my husband and I thought was going to be a major financial set back for us, was better than we could have imagined. And its all because GHA cares about their customers.They were honest, caring and beyond professional. We are so grateful to everyone at Garland Heating & Air.

No issues with time. This was a scheduled maintenance but the technician said he needed to tighten some fittings on the inside unit. We ll he then said oh it needed to be replaced and I asked how did that happen and he said the heat. The pvc was broken off and he said it will be an additional $115 for a small $3 peice. Shouldnt it have been., I can try to repair but there may be a cost if I cant and have to replace it.

AC went out at my rental property in Garland this past summer. Called another company who tried to sell me a whole new unit. Got a second opinion from Garland Heating and Air. Turns out, the entire problem was just a dirty air filter that caused the unit to work too hard and froze the evaporator coil. After it had time to thaw, the unit has been working perfectly ever since. Problem solved for the less than $100 service call fee. This is an honest and reliable company who will be getting all of my business in the future!

First day, tore my furnace apart, didnt have the necessary parts to fix it, and charged me $100. Next day, they came back, STILL did not have all the parts, had to go to Home Depot (I had to give him directions) for parts, then charged me another $400. Most of this was in time spent reading installation manuals. What a joke.
