We’ve used George’s Air Conditioning since moving to Galveston in 2022. They’ve replaced our whole house HVAC and installed Mini Splits in our addition. The techs are very knowledgeable, friendly and respectful. Also their office personnel are always helpful. Recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time using Georges Air Conditioning. The tech was on time, called before he came and properly introduced himself and the company. He did a thorough job of finding our problem and was able to fix it. Explained everything and showed us pictures. Options were put on the table for discussions. We were very satisfied with the whole process.

The bedroom mini split wasn’t working correctly so I called to have them come take a look. Less than two hours later they arrived and were able to address the problem. Highly recommend George’s for the 5-star customer service and professionalism.

Good quality customer support and technician capability and fair diagnostic fee. Expensive repair proposal. I did not approve or receive repair work.

I found that my AC unit had an excessive amount of condensation on it that was causing water spots on my ceiling. George and Jaxon came out and spent time to go over the entire unit to find the cause of the issue. The unit was fine tuned by them to correct the problem. The service was top notch and they informed me of the cause and even showed me photos of the problems. I will be suggesting them to anyone and everyone.

Expectations were exceeded for timeliness and competitive pricing on a new Trane unit. Went above and beyond in friendliness and attentiveness- from every phone call (thank you Liz) to the initial site visit by Rodolfo, George himself following up with me and visiting the day of install, and the installation crew (Raul and a very nice guy who I didn’t learn his name). One additional guy dropped off some additional supplies at midday that I thought spoke volumes of the team work the entire company shares. We thought there was some chance of salvaging our 2008 unit, but Rodolfo patiently explained (and showed) the many issues, not to mention 14 years is a decent lifespan on a Galveston AC. So thankful for this great company, especially for the install before this next heat wave. Thanks again, Liz, for taking my many calls as we figured everything out.

Rodolfo was on time and the most thorough tech I have dealt with.He, the owner (George) and myself had a 3 way conference call that greatly improved my understanding of the problem and l would highly recommend Georges A/C.

I honestly wish I could leave 0 stars. Once a year our AC in my condo unit needs a tune up/drain unclogged/pan emptied. All the owners do this yearly, as there’s no permanent fix for this issue. In the past I’ve gone with a different company, the tech is typically there for 15 minutes tops and they charge their call fee (usually around $125). This always has gone really smooth and solves the issue for approx. a year. Last Friday I needed this done, somewhat urgently due to have a guest in the unit and a check in the next day. I attempted to call the company I usually have go out there but it was a Friday and they couldn’t get out there until Monday. So I called George’s, I explained what I would like done multiple times, a simple AC drain unclogged which they say okay to and sent a tech out. The tech gets there and quotes me over $800 for new hoses and such (which that price blew my mind). I told him what I had requested be done (like I told the receptionist) and he stated they cannot complete that task at their company. Then stated he would charge me this diagnostic fee and leave, which I didn’t need anything diagnosed. I explained what I was told by the receptionist, and we went back and forth for several minutes. He reached out to the receptionist who then calls me and argues for several more minutes and says she will check with her supervisor to see if there is anything they can do and will follow up by Monday. I receive no update that Monday. I finally call them and ask to speak to a supervisor. They did end up charging me the diagnostic fee, which I explain that I don’t agree with this since I requested a specific service and not anything be diagnosed. She states they do unclog the AC drain/pan but it only comes with a $475 package (another different price than the tech gave me). I really wish I was told this during my initial call by the receptionist because I would’ve never agreed to send a tech out. The supervisor starts getting kind of rude with me saying you received this email invoice and it was opened at this date and time. I tell her I never received the email and she keeps arguing with me. I have her confirm the email address and it was the wrong email address (which I know I repeated to the dispatcher multiple times). I have never been this upset with a company, it seems VERY unorganized and crooked, it was clearly a misunderstanding on their part and to still NEED to charge me that diagnostic fee means they’re clearly very low on income, which never leads to good business. I guess that’s why they had same day availability when others didn’t. And to top it off the tech left my place a mess. The guest wasn’t happy when she got back. She was such a sweet lady. She understood it wasn’t my fault and expressed how disappointed she was with George’s. She didn’t expect to have to clean up behind a “professional”. I’ve talked to many owners and they also feel like I’ve been scammed. At least I was able to get a company in there the following week to finally get it resolved for the $125 fee. The tech couldn’t believe my experience with Georges. I’ve been trying to dispute it with them, it’s been a week and I’ve been ghosted. Lesson learned on my end. Just unfortunate it was a costly one. Could’ve been more I suppose. Don’t let it happen to you. Just seemed so money hungry. I never had this poor experience with anyone. This is the first time I have ever left a negative public review for a company. I almost feel bad but then I remember how I was treated. I didn’t want it to come to this. I highly advise anyone to look elsewhere for AC services.

They are a wonderful firm, not only polite and on time, but also with skillful service that has always found and corrected the problem. I have been with them for years, and am very thankful for their service. Jaxon is very congenial and skilled, and it was a pleasure to meet him and to have his expertise.

These dudes are legit. Came out to fix our deep freezer that wouldnt defrost and a triple door display freezer that would not get down to the desired temperature. Fixed a leak in one and repaired the defrost timer in the other. Trustworthy and chill dudes. Would def recommend to anybody on the Island looking for ac repairs.

This company was fantastic. Arrived at our beach house and a/c was out. House was 90 degrees. They rearranged some schedules and got to our house in about two hours. Repairs were done and house was cool again. Cost was very reasonable. Highly recommend George’s A/C.

Georges Air Conditioning was very capable and professional. The person who set the appointment was helpful, the tech was here the very next morning and he was good at what he does. Jesus was patient, explained options, fixed my issue and confirmed heat and air were working well before leaving. (Two years ago, another tech was just also courteous and capable fixing a different issue.) Also, great communication about arrival window and status, even a picture sent by text of the tech to be expecting.

Awesome Service!!!! I needed an air conditioning tuneup for my house on Galveston Island. They were able to get me in next day. When the guy showed up, they were very friendly, hard-working, and completed the job to my satisfaction. We found that one of the ducts had separated from the unit so we weren’t getting as cold air as we should and they fine-tuned everything and now the house feels perfect. The only negative is I felt the price to reattach the ductwork was a little high. Seems their prices are on the high end, but the service was great!

We had another excellent experience with George’s Air today. My first review for repair work is directly below. We liked this company so much that we now have themcheck our AC/heat twice a year. The technician who checked our air today was thorough, knowledgeable and professional. He also showed up right on time. We could not be happier with the service from this company. We highly recommend them!We had an excellent experience using George’s Air recently to repair our AC. They answered my call right away and were able to get a tech to our house at the time we requested. The tech diagnosed the problem, obtained the part needed and had our AC working quickly. We have used George’s Air in prior occasions and have consistently received the same timely and excellent service. I am so glad we found them a few years ago! I fully recommend them!

Though George’s was timely with making an appt., their bid to replace our 15 SEER2: 3.5 Ton A/C / furnace unit- indoor and compressor, was $17-20k.$17k for non-name brand and 20k for name brand unit. Shocked, we called another provider who quoted $10k to do the entire inside and out; but states the furnace looked ‘perfect’ and didn’t need replacing, which saves us $3k. Georges didn’t even give us an option to keep the furnace.We are considering a gouging complaint, since this happened post/Beryl and we were in need of A/c after not having power for a week prior to this.

1 star company, at best. Worst customer service ever. Requested a simple AC clean/tune up, which the receptionist scheduled, and then tech called us stating they don’t do that service (which what AC company doesn’t do that, my real concern) and then proceeded to charge us an expensive diagnostic/service fee (when we didn’t need anything diagnosed as stated to the receptionist originally). Also, the tech left our place a mess. And then management wouldn’t negotiate the situation at all or admit the wrong doing. Would NOT recommend to anyone in the Galveston area.

We have nothing but good things to say about this company and its technicians! Had AC problems in the hot summer months, called and got a same day visit from Rodolfo, then they came out the next day with a whole new system and got it done that day! Our system is cooler and more efficient, and we are already seeing a better electricity bill! Highly recommend Georges AC!!!

The AC went out on my short-term rental in Galveston last night and John was out at my house and had it diagnosed within an hour and a half. Im so grateful for the quick and thorough service! My renters were happy and so am I!!

Our upstairs AC was running but it was not cooling. After several days of it being really warm in the house for this time of year, we had had enough! It’s not comfortable sleeping hot at night. Ugh! I got on the googler to find someone to come out. Called George’s yesterday and they were able to send a tech out today. Woohoo!! Zach came out and was able to check everything and get us going again! The house went from a hot 79 degrees to a cool 72 degrees within an hour! Zach was very thorough and explained things well! We will be able to sleep like babies tonight!! I highly recommend George’s Air Conditioning!!

Thank you to the awesome tech who finally figured out the problem with my mini split! He actually took things apart to figure out the problem...unlike the terrible AC people who have been hired in the past by the property manager.The tech was also very professional. I was seeing patients while he checked out the unit, he did not disturb us and kept his work space clean!

The company and tech are nice and efficient, the parts company outside of Georges control was not helpful, they were slow, but Georges AC was good

Jaxon arrived promptly at 8 am for my winter check of my furnace for the upcoming cool weather. Checked all components and for any issues. All checked fine and turned on unit to make sure it was blowing heat at the required temp. Thanks Jaxon and George’s AC

Please be cautious with this company they told us that they would charge us 125 for letting us know the problem is and they would call us to authorize anything further. The technician didn’t call us but fixed it and told him we owed him 675. They didn’t respect their own rules. And we called and complained and they told us they would give us a 125 dollar credit they never did! Please make sure if you use them you are very careful because they are sneaky.

2nd time working with Rodolfo. He is very professional and personable. He is cool. The company is 1st class.

Quick response to the call for service. The office was very friendly and helpful. The tech that came out to serve the air conditioner was the most pleasant and helpful that I have experienced. Should I need service again Georges will be the company that I call!

I was extremely satisfied with the service provided by George’s AC. They responded to my call sending a technician out in less than an hour. My HVAC was responsible for very high electric bills this past summer and I wanted an assessment the system. Rodolfo, did a very thorough inspection, well documented, explained the issues and outlined options to correct the problems.

Our technician was awesome and personable. He knew how important it was to get our AC unit back up and running and we appreciated all of his efforts, knowledge and reminders on what we needed to do as homeowners with an AC unit. We’ve been using this establishment since 2017 or earlier and will always continue to use them if/when the need arises.

Rodolfo did a great job of eliminating the noise which the air handler was making while running on AC mode. He was very clever to find a way to adjust the multi-speed fan in a way it did not whine any more when running. He was also very professional about his work.8-12-24. Rodolfo confirmed that our unit was working as it should be in the middle of this heatwave. As always, he was professional and courteous. A great guy to have on our team!

My ac went out Friday at 3pm, Brie answered my call, she was very nice and friendly. She sent Rudolfo out, who did a fantastic job, he restored my ac promptly. They both were a pleasure to work with. Than you so very much!

Their technician, Danny, went above and beyond to get my A/C system up and running. They left no stone unturned to troubleshoot the issues, and offered a very reasonable maintenance package, which I took advantage of. He educated me on many of my systems issues, and I’m now sitting in a very cool, temperature regulated environment. Quite different from the last 18 months since I purchased my condo!Be cool, be happy 😎, very happy with George’s! 😎

I called cold off of Google and was pleased I did. The lady who answered the phone was super friendly and the tech came out same day on a hot summers day and got me up and running. I will use them again for my AC needs.

The service responded immediately and Damian arrived quickly. He quickly assessed what was wrong and fixed it. He stayed to be sure it was working properly. He also signed me up for summer check and looked at some other issues for me. He was courteous, informative, patient and efficient. They somehow claimed the warranty on our heating unit without our permission. By doing this we were unable to get quotes from other companies in order to compare prices. We needed it fixed so we agreed to the quoted price of 1300.00 to fix it. The parts were under warranty. After helping us finance it, we got the small loan for 1500.00. Upon realizing that, their quote suddenly went up to 1500.00 for two hours of work. It took three weeks for them to come out and fix it because they were waiting for parts. Overall we felt ripped off and scammed. Yeah they fixed the issues. But the way they went about doing it was shady and unprofessional.

Called Georges Air to unclog my primary AC line. Jesus showed up same dayHe is respectful of me and my hime. Very polite and knowledgeable. He not only fixed the problem but also figured out the root cause. Great representation of the service men Georges Air employees.

The technician they sent out did a great job, he quickly diagnosed the problem & had the parts the next day; since it was a control board it had to be ordered. He came back the following morning and repaired the AC and did the annual check up & maintenance; all for a very reasonable price. This company is beyond amazing. Extremely helpful, prompt, courteous & knowledgable. My AC was working but not putting out any cold air. I had called another company and they scheduled 2 and a 1/2 days out before they showed up. The technician was not very pleasant to deal with. I then called GEORGES A.C. & their technician Rudolpho showed up almost immediately repaired the unit and was very pleasant to deal with. he is a thorough professional and a great credit to GEORGES A.C. I cannot praise him enough. ( Also the young lady I talked to on the phone at GEORGES turned out to be the bosses wife who gave me several options and explained things very thoroughly and professionally regarding the air conditioner --- she calmed me down and I told her the boss should give her a raise )

I used Georges air conditioning to check behind a diagnostic done at a time I could not be present. Our bill of future services that we were told is needed with the other company was outrageous especially because the air was flowing fine we only called out for a trip on the breaker box. Well now I am happy to say everything is great and he was very thorough to look behind all the notes we were previously given and also gave advice to prevent anything from costing us in the future. Honesty goes along way and my wife and I appreciate your services.

Danny G. was fantastic. My thermostat went out. He checked my AC to make there was no other problem. He then replaced my thermostat for a very reasonable fee. The dispatch kept me informed of his arrival time.

We had a new HVAC system installed by another company. After multiple attempts to contact the other company regarding issues with our system with no success we called Georges. Georges came out the same day to repair our system. Rodolfo came out, found the issues and repaired our system. Rodolfo explained everything up front showing us what needed to be done, and completed the work the same day. Rodolfo was professional, polite and provided us with a great price! Georges has earned our business and I will recommend them to anyone who is in need of HVAC service.

I spent $490.00 Thursday for a service call to add freon. And it leaked out before 24 hrs the next day. Another $130.00 service call Saturday for a service man to tell me it was un-repairable from a leak in the outside coils on the unit. So he called his boss George. George gave me a price to replace the whole unit for $8,000 or $10,000 for a more efficient unit. I called another repair Technician and they had it repaired in 2 hours that Saturday so we could not suffer through the heat for less than $350.. it has been over 40 days and its still working great. I do NOT RECOMMEND this company for service. I had George come out to look at what his service personnel did and asked him for a partial refund. He took a picture of the repair and declined!! He seems to be only interested in the Replacement $$$.

Service technician (Zach?), was prompt and very thorough. He answered my questions, and kept me informed with every test he performed. I was pleased with the experience.

These guys are a ripoff! $250 for a basic thermostat that retails for $10 was bad. The worst part is they charge $250 to “use gauges” to add Freon and charge you above market for the Freon.The techs are paid on commission and spiffs so they recommend more work than nesscay. Avoid these thieves!

My AC unit broke down while I had renters in our condo. Of course it broke down at night. Georges Air Conditioning replaced the unit the very next day. They went beyond by installing a portable AC in the condo so my renters wouldnt be hot that night. Communication was excellent and streamlined. I knew what was going on the entire time. I dont live in town therefore this was important to me. I highly recommend this company!

Found myself in a bad situation my cooling system for my walk-in was getting warmer I called Georges on a Friday. in the same day they got me a price on completing the system and installed it on Monday.Family owned and operated. Fantastic people🙏❤️

The technician was excellent, no complaints whatsoever on his part, 5 stars for him. As far as the company goes, what they charged me for the replacement of a line drier and 6 lb of refrigerant was absolutely absurd. 1 hour of labor and the previously mentioned installation of a new line drier and a system recharge with only 6 lb of refrigerant cost me $875. I highly discourage anyone from ever using this company if at all possible, their prices are absolutely unacceptable.

We had a minisplit that was dripping water - the staff at Georges was able to help on the same day, they were very helpful in arranging the appointment and the technician was quick, helpful and the entire experience was very positive.

All positive feedback with there service, first of all they where there on time for the estimate and the installation of a compete new unit. There office staff was great with any questions I had.The big plus was recommending a rust proofing paint job for the outside unit. With the condo been in Galveston my old unit rusted out in three years, after talking to some coworkers about this rust proofing its wroth the extra money.

This is most certainly not a fake review. In July 2018 my family took out a contract with George & were told that it would be done in approximately less than a year by 2019. It is now May 2021, payments were made & the job is still not complete. Even more frustrating when our phone calls for answers usually go unanswered until after weve shown up to the office in person just to keep hearing that its almost done after several more months of delays. Yes things may happen out of our control (like covid in 2020) but its really frustrating trying not to feel misled & cheated. Thats a terrible experience for any customer.

Can home from work and downstairs A/C was not working. Called George’s A/C Liz answered the phone. Very professional person stated she be able to have tech out to house between 3pm and 5pm. She had Tech out at the house at 230pm. Danny came check the system found it was control board have to order one. He felt be able to replace it tomorrow Wednesday afternoon. Called back to office let Liz know I wanted the item an said if there a problem would let me know but did see why it would not be tomorrow. Once again she like Danny where very professional and happy to help. I will be telling every one about this company.

Highway robbery. I have used them twice.. the first time was great, reasonable hourly rates and great work. My second time using them they ripped me off.. labor rate nearly doubled based on my first service with them 3 months ago, using the same techs. There rates are 85 an hour for the actual tech, which is reasonable, but then they charged $65 an hour for his helper who did no real work other than running to the van a few times an hour. Save yourself money and hire someone else.

Rodolpho is amazing. My AC went out on a Saturday morning. I called and George’s responded. Rodolpho came out on a Saturday morning within an hour of my call. A wire broke loose in the AC unit. He found it. Fixed it and remounted the other related wires just to be sure. Thanks Rodolpho!! Thanks George.

Called them to get a quote for service. Even if your system has already been diagnosed, they insist on doing their own evaluation and charging you for it. They need to learn why the customer is always right.
