Very happy with the work from Castle Air Conditioning & Heating. Met and dealt with Josh and Allen - both excellent guys. I had a 12 year old single stage unit replaced with a variable speed unit. Ducts were well sealed, work area was cleaned up, guys answered many of my questions, and price was good. Josh went above and beyond with his service at my house, which I really appreciate. I had a different single stage unit replaced by another local company and the experiences between the two installs was night and day. Lucked out finding Castle Air Conditioning & Heading and will definitely be using them again in the future.

Castle has been my A/C specialist for 30 years. Their maintenance and repair are excellent. Josh, owner, helped me buy a new system several years ago and it has worked perfectly ever since. I subscribe to their biannual maintenance service. They remind me every spring and fall its time to check system and replace filter. Josh, Allen, and their team did a phenomenal job identifying all problematic areas and providing multiple options to resolve the cooling issue we were facing. We had previously replaced our coils, but this time, they went above and beyond by not only replacing the two Lennox coils but also the plenum boxes, which made a significant difference in the quality of the work. Despite the challenges of working in our very tight attic space, they performed exceptionally well. They also discovered that the issue with our dampers, which several other repair companies had suggested needed replacement, was actually due to the controller board. Their quote was the most reasonable out of the three we received. The tech was professional and friendly, but it was really hard to stomach paying over $100 per pound for refrigerant when I can see it online for $14 per pound. That seems like an excessive markup to me.

Just had a visit from Allen Penney for my spring air conditioning inspection as part of my service plan. As usual, he was on time, efficient, and carefully inspected both my systems. They were all working well due to past service and installations by Josh and Allen. I have been using Castle Air since the late 1970s when the company was owned by Josh Cartwrights uncle before Josh took over the company. They are great people, and we have always been pleased with their timely service, advice, and the value and longevity of the equipment they have installed (usually Carrier). Josh has also been very helpful over the phone with simple technical and software issues that I could solve myself. They certainly deserve a five star rating.

Detailed and knowledgable, testing the many parts that make up todays modern A/C units, explaining the lifespan and current status of each part. We can plan ahead for potential replacements of the capacitor in a year or two, and think about upgrading the thermostat to incorporate the existing humidifier if we want.
