I recently opted for Sears Home Services Clean & Maintain package for my kitchen and laundry appliances. The offer sounded promising—maintenance and cleaning for three kitchen and two laundry appliances—all for $295 ($249.99 + tax). Unfortunately, the experience was very subpar. Here’s what happened:Cleaning? What Cleaning? The technician showed up with nothing more than a vacuum. No proper cleaning supplies, no thorough work. For instance, the washing machine’s soap dispenser remained untouched, and no cleaning cycle was run. Instead, I was instructed to run vinegar through the machine myself. (Why hire them, then?)Negligence with Appliances: The oven range wasn’t cleaned either. A self-cleaning cycle would’ve been just as (in)effective—and much cheaper. The entire service felt amateurish. I wont even bore you with the ice dispenser (ugh, why are you here??).False Promises: The “30-day warranty” is laughable. Contact details are nonexistent (no one answers), and their chatbot offers no support on quality of service. Accountability? A total joke.No Accountability, No Transparency:There was no written report detailing what was done, the current condition of my appliances, or any suggested repairs. Again, no value. + They dont accept AMEX.Sears Home Services is like that ex who had everything going for them—intelligence, charm, potential—but now only leaves you disappointed and regretting the relationship. Save yourself the hassle (and money) and find a reputable maintenance or cleaning service.Verdict: 0/10. Never again.
Jose and his helper were prompt in arrival, and completed the installation of my HVAC system very quickly. The inside and outside work areas were cleaned of debris before they left. They were polite, professional, and went through the equipment setup process when I asked questions. I am very pleased with the entire sales/installation.
Literally the worst customer service experience Ive ever had. The guys that fixed my stove were fine but the company as a whole is a joke at best. I was scheduled and rescheduled 8 Times !!! So if you like missing 8 days of work where nobody shows up and you cant call a human to tell them what is going on...then this one is for you. Funny just another one star review...how do these companies remain in business. What a clown show.
My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.I paid a significant amount of money for a new HVAC system. The evaporator coil failed within 1.5 years. Getting the repair completed has been another nightmare all its own.The repair tech would not do the work because the install contractor made a minor error. That was finally resolved after 3 weeks of wrangling and emailing. The repair tech came back and checked and ordered the replacement coil. The installation appointment has been canceled 2 times in the same week due to “damaged parts” arriving, which is nonsense, of course. If you want a lousy install, terrible customer support and dishonesty, by all means use Sears. Now my reschedule date has been changed to Mar 12 supposedly because I the parts won’t arrive. The lack of any onshore leadership to deal with customers is going to put an end to this company. And it should. This company is a joke and there is nobody who will take responsibility to solve problems. Avoid like the plague.
