Preferred techs are great. I had Tyler come out to look at my AC for leak. Tylers professionalism and honesty was awesome. Instead of just telling me what he saw, he should me pictures to help me understand what was happening. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Thank you Tyler.

Tyler McNeil came by on 04Dec and upon arriving he introduced himself and was professional throughout his visit. He conducted a tune-up for one furnace and performed troubleshooting on our second furnace. He took his personal time to explain what he was doing to pinpoint the issue and then provided a solution. Tyler also took his time to explain the theory of operation in order for me to understand how the component failed in the operation and as why that specific component was needed. He wasted no time in getting the ball rolling to order the part. Tyler was personalable, down to earth, trustworthy, and a stand up professional who set a high standard for other technicians to follow. Thanks for the work. I look forward to calling Home Preferred and specifically asking for Tyler to come back out for future issues.

Tyler came out to check on my elderly mother’s AC. Fortunately, it was a minor issue. However, he pointed out another issue unrelated to the AC that could have caused a lot of issues in the near future. Most technicians wouldn’t have bothered to mention it (not my problem attitude). Tyler is an outstanding professional with a great sense of character and integrity. We will be calling them again for any future AC issues!

Best A/C service I have ever experienced! Our technician was Tyler and he showed up on time, had kept me updated on his eta, he knew right away what might be the issue. After only a couple of minutes he confirmed his theory and already had the part I would need on his truck. When does that ever happen? Anyway …. from the time I reported the issue with our home warranty, to my communication with PHS scheduler to completion I was treated with expediency and professionalism! I will definitely call on them again when something comes up. Great Job!

Matt Bankston from Preferred came and helped when my roof leaked. Did great work. Later replaced my roof and gutters. Matt was great to work with, got a fair price and was very quick to get the job done. I would go to Matt with any of my roof problems and will in the future!

Tyler did an awesome job and we were so grateful for his fast work to get our A/C up and running. He was super friendly and clean up after himself after the work was finished.

Matthew and Armando came to inspect our AC unit to see why it wasnt working. They were able to immediately assess the situation. The condenser blew and the freeon had leaked everywhere. They went into the attic to check out the other parts and educated us on all things A/C so we could make an informed decision. There were no sales pressure tactics. They let us know exactly what we would need to get up and running ASAP as well as what we would need in the future. They were very thorough and displayed great customer service.

Matt came out to look at a bunch of vent jacks that had been torn apart by squirrels which caused interior leaks. Gave me a fair price and sent his tech out to fix. The tech was very polite, very careful with my shingles during the process, and was finished in half the time I expected. Ill be calling him for gutters next.

We have used Matt Bankston with Preferred Home Services with many great experiences since 2018. I always tell my friends to use them, but we want to share our experience. We highly recommend Preferred Home Services as your total home service solution.In 2018 They replaced both aging water heaters for us, and replaced our HVAC system. The installations were great and the crew was very careful inside our home. Both the water heaters and HVAC system have been trouble-free and are excellent quality. The price was great too!Our home will be 20 years old this year, and it still had the original roof. We didnt have any leaks but decided to replace the roof. This month (May 2022) Preferred Home Services completed a new CertainTeed ClimateFlex roof for us and repaired our gutters. They referred us to a great painter that could paint the exterior and even pressure wash. Our home looks brand-new! We are very happy and satisfied with the results and the pictures say it all. Matt is always on-time and responsive to any requests. The crew was extra careful outside the home and they are friendly.We appreciate the excellent service, attention to detail, getting the tough jobs done fast, and making it look easy! Thanks Preferred Home Services! You have earned a customer for life in us!

I’d definitely recommend Preferred home services. Everyone that I spoke with was very polite. Tyler came out to our home to assess my A/C unit. Even in the rain as I was holding the umbrella, he still went out to get the information he needed. Most people would want to reschedule, but he didn’t mind getting a little wet. Thank you Tyler.He then came and installed the part we needed and got our A/C fixed so we didn’t have to melt in this Pearland heat anymore.

I cannot begin to say enough positive things about this company. Nick, my technician, was thorough and helped me every step of the way. From the quote to getting approved for 2nd chance credit/finance. Nick made sure that I was completely taken care of. I called them out for a quote and they came the same day. Monday, today, I have my new inside and outside unit. They replaced the condenser, compressor, thermostat and I am sure other parts, I dont know the names for. I am more than pleased to say the least, at the service and work provided.They arrived bright and early and got started. Work took longer than expected due to my previous AC not being installed correctly and not up to code(not performed by Preferred Air), yes my house was flipped, little did I know, but Preferred Air changed all that and has increased the value of my home. The installers did a fantastic job! once completed, the guy showed me pictures of the new new unit and the work performed, and explained what they installed and materials used. He even asked if I wanted pictures and I handed him my phone and he snapped the unit upstairs in the attic. My Unit is beautiful!. Again, I am more than ecstatic about this install, as they installers even went as far as to correct the drain issue outside my home. See before and after photos. I love love love how they made sure the PVC piping went to the ground and covered with pebbles. you can see how my home is stained from grass and dirt where the water dripped with the old unit. I even had to block that section off with a gate as my dogs would like that water, not safe. Sorry, some pics are not very well taken, it was night and the flash takes away from the photos. Now I need to work on my landscape game! Once all work was completed, Nick, came by to check all work to ensure it was all accomplished and up to code. Many thanks to Nick and all those at Preferred Air!!! Definitely my new AC/Roofing Service company for life.

Its the hottest week of the summer and my AC unit was malfunctioning. Ive got babies and the house was 80 degrees.Other companies were too booked to send someone out. Brittany was able to set up a service for my house within hours. Great customer service and they were able to resolve the issue promptly.

We contacted our home warranty company and got scheduled with PHS. Our technician wasted no time in troubleshooting the problem and got us up and running within the hour. Excellent service.

After a bit of a wait after Hurricane Beryl, Tyler was able to come out and complete service. I appreciated the next day courtesy call and check up on things, and when I had a need for additional assistance I was out on the schedule immediately and Tyler once again came that same day! My AC was cooling fine with the only problem being the 2nd floor was not blowing strong enough and this company was assigned by my home warranty. The technician came and said my dampers were fine and told me my Freon was low so the 2nd floor cannot cool fast (despite 1st and 3rd floor were both cooling very well). I was charged $560 to fill Freon but it didnt help with the problem at all. Instead, there come a noise whenever the AC is on, which didnt exist at all before filling Freon. I called in and the same technician came again. This time I was told again that the dampers were fine and there was nothing could be done to improve the air blowing. In addition, I was told that my compressor was not working properly and needed to be replaced, which could be why the 2nd floor was not cooling fast, but still could not explain why the 1st and 3rd floor were both cooling fine. I was also told that the noise had nothing to do with last service, which Im not sure about. The technician left in a hurry for the next service but said would report to the company or my warranty to assign someone else. Ive been waiting but was suddenly notified that my service was completed.I asked my home warranty to assign another company. The new technician came and immediately found that my dampers were not closed completely so that theyve been splitting air flow from the 2nd floor to other floors. He fixed the problem in minutes. Now my AC is working very well in all three floors, except the noise got from the first service.

Tyler fixed our AC today in less than 10 minutes and then walked us through how to fix it in the future if needed. He was very professional, on time, and kind - he even suggested a bug spray when we were complaining about mosquitos. Would definitely recommend!

It was time for me to replace a HVAC system. I was intrested in Dikin Fit. Daikin is very selective on who installs these HVAC and there is only a handfull of installers to choose from. I Got a quote from a Big name in the area. But I decided to get a second quote. Preferred not only beat the price they talked really good of the Big Name. When I told the Big name that I was going with Preferred they tried to match the price(not beat) and talked down on Preferred. To me that sealed the deal. If your work is good you let your work do the talking. Big name also had no wiggle room to work with me on some challenges I faced. Preferred was more personal the owner Anthony called me personally even gave me his personal phone number to reach him anytime, and even stopped by my home to see the work. He was able to work with me on my challenges I faced so I can get what I wanted. The install crew was amazing, fast and cleaned and left it looking like a new build in my attic. The crew leader even had a conversation with my while he was working just to answer all my questions Installed 2 4ton Dikin Fit quiet efficent and the future of HVAC. Ive had a lot (and I mean a LOT) of work done on my AC, and this is the first time I can say I am genuinely pleased. Tyler was great - personable, professional, efficient, and effective. Arrived exactly when promised, returned exactly when he promised to, finished exactly when he said he would. Identified the problem within minutes and resolved it same day. Tyler came to my house to do an annual inspection on my unit. He was so kind and knowledgeable! I was unaware that my unit was having some issues due to a leak in my unit but he fixed it no problem! He was very thorough and made sure my unit was running properly by the time he left, answered all my questions I had, and even installed my filters I bought that I kept forgetting to put up. I have a Home Warranty and these guys got picked to work on my heater about a month ago unfortunately the same part went out to no-fault of them I’m an electrician and I even get brand new stuff out of the box that does the same thing They came out within 24 hours . I had my heater back on. My appointment was supposed to be between two and four and Matt called me at 11:30 and said hey I have your part can I come by? I just want to thank Matt and the rest of the team for really stepping up and this 16° weather to come and help somebody out, I would definitely would be using them for my other properties with out a warranty these these guys are awesome y’all keep up the good work and stay safe out there.

Late one night last week I turned my AC on to go to bed. Immediately it sounded like it had imploded and shrapnel was being shot across the house. I called PHS the next morning, totally convinced it was time to replace my entire, 20 yo unit. Tyler came out that day, took one look, and diagnosed it with a loose screw. He tightened it and was on his way.They could have told me my unit was shot and I needed a new one, and I would have believed them. Instead, they worked us in same day and saved us thousands another company may have swindled us out of. I’m very grateful for Tyler’s and PHS’s kindness and expertise.

My A/Cs fan motor went out in the 105 degree heat. Preferred was assigned to me by my home warranty company for repair. They were great! I had to be out of town for 48 hours, but they scheduled me immediately for the morning I returned home. Mike diagnosed problem and within a couple of hours had gotten approval for repair from home warranty company. My unit is an older one and it looked like parts were going to have to be ordered. Instead, they resourced needed parts from different suppliers around town, and Mike personally drove to pick them up, so that I would not have to wait longer for repair. The diagnosis of problem was on Thursday morning and the repair was complete by 1 Friday. I cannot say enough about the great service. I highly recommend this company.

Oh my goodness! What great customer service!!!!Today Matthew with Preferred Home Services came out to my property to work on my AC unit. Matthew was able to identify the problem within minutes. He’s so knowledgeable, I can tell that hes very experienced in his industry. While working on my issue Matthew was able to identify a couple other issues he brought them to my attention. I appreciate that more than he’ll ever know. He was so patient to explain every issue to me and ensure that he was explaining things in a way that would not go over my head, nothing too technical I now have a very good understanding of what is needed.Although the solution for my issue is outside of PHS scope, Matthew explained to me that I would need to have an electrician to come out. He told me exactly what is needed and what to expect price wise. I sincerely appreciate that, because I have many experiences where people have tried to take advantage of women simply because we may not be familiar with the work thats being performed…so thank you thank you thank you to Preferred Home Services and sending Matthew out on this Veterans day. I appreciate everything and I will definitely be using this company in the future for any of my AC needs. It’s so refreshing to encounter honest contractors/servicemen….honesty is priceless and greatly appreciated.

WHAT A HUGE WASTE OF TIME.This company has a huge communication problem between their office personnel and their techs. Everything we told the office in the initial request for service (manufacturer, model, serials. error codes) never made it to the techs. They first sent Mike out who doesnt work on split units even though we told the office this is a split unit. Mike was extremely professional and courteous. He still checked all my electrical from the box to the unit while he was here just to make sure it was not something simple. He says he will have the office send Matt out who was certified to repair split units. A full week later (after we had to call the office again to get scheduled again) they finally scheduled Matt to come out. Again, Matt was extremely courteous, professional, and knows what he is doing. He tells me dispatch gave him absolutely NONE of the information we gave them. Matt then proceeds to do what he can while he is here including collecting all the information we already gave the office and says he will take the warranty information back to the office (that we gave them two weeks prior). What a huge waste of time. Had to again call the office back after days of no response and then some guy in the office named Brian says oh, we dont work on split units. Called back and talked to someone else (did not get his name but sounded like maybe the owner?) who proceeds to tell me that it is not worth his time. Could have told me this on day one. I could already have a working AC unit fixed by another company.This is not about the techs or even whatever the company policy is about what they choose to fix or not fix. This is about the COMPLETE LACK OF COMMUNICATION between their office and their field service techs. which cost me two weeks of waiting.Two weeks without AC in the hottest two weeks of the decade. Now I have to start this process all over from the beginning with another company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.Because of this lack of communication it also has cost them two other jobs of installing an additional split unit and servicing my Lennox 2500.

Thank you for the great job repairing our roof. After a recent storm we had some roof damage & water was leaking into our son’s bedroom. Matt came out and looked at the roof and after approval had the crew out within 24 hours. The crew was very professional and reviewed everything one more time to make sure any areas letting water in were identified. Then they got to fixing everything and completed the work the same day. The repair got an instant test as the next day it stormed for close to 6 hours… heavy downpours, but not a single drop in our son’s bedroom. Again thank you for the fast, professional fix to our leak. Will definitely use again for any issues or when it’s time for a complete roof replacement (it is getting old). Also will definitely recommend to friends & neighbors.

Their workers were professional and very clean and neat. They made every effort to be sure the area was free of debris after the job was completed. Had a call in due to AC not working right. Called another local company here and they came out the next day. Did some troubleshooting and had a few possibilities but nothing that would fix it. Had made this appointment before the local call and wanted to keep it just in case. Good call too! Talked to Tony Velasquez and he felt there were some issues and nothing simple. Matt was the tech that came out and with some info and a video I took of the AC he knew what was wrong. Popped the cover of the unit and sure enough it was a bad switch. Less than 15 mins and he had it running. They will come back to finish the job but I now have AC running to wait on them. Great job guys! Kudos to both of them for getting me some help!

This company/The home preferred service LLC is a scam. Their technician concluded that the reason for the water dripping through the ceiling was because the air handler was not positioned correctly from the previous installer and needed to have a couple of blocks underneath in order to slope it., (Something that doesn’t make much sense considering the fact that the same air handler unit has been working at the same position for the last one and a half year without any problems or any water dripping through the ceiling.) also he confirmed that he checked and blew into the main drainage line and as a result concluded that drainage line was not clogged. On the second opinion from a different company technician, everything that the first one had concluded was Lie, and not just an innocent lie or a mistake, but a lie with the purpose to scam the homeowner for extra unnecessary repairs where the Home preferred service LLC company could make an extra $1500 profit.As mentioned above a technician from a different company that came for a second opinion found out that the unit did not need to be repositioned at all, and also the main drainage lime was very much clogged, which was causing the water leak through the ceiling. Both of those findings were the exact opposite conclusions of the first technician diagnosis from the Preferred Home services LLC company. As a result of this dishonesty from preferred home service LLC company, the Preferred Home service LLC company is a scam. This was confirmed more so based on the answers and reactions from the preferred home service LLC company owner named Anthony, while he had the chance chance to look at the facts based on his technicians statements/conclusions and to provide a reasonable explanation or handle the issue regarding his technicians lies in a professional way, but instead he chose to start yelling and screaming, just like one that has been caught in a lie or their scam has been exposed would do.They’re trying to scam the homeowners by providing wrong diagnosis to them so they can get some unnecessary work done on the customers’ expense.Don’t waste your time or money with this preferred home service LLC company!

Cody stopped by to repair a water heater leak and warned us turning off water to the house may cause the galvanize pipe in the attic to leak once it comes back on. It did 30 minutes after they left but I called and he came right back, after hours, and fixed the leak in my attic too. Did a great job and we were able to leave the water on for the whole house and take showers the next day! Great job and thanks for coming back to fix the leak!

I was skeptical at first since it was the one I had to use with my Home Warranty however Im so glad they referred me to them. When my AC went out they were able to get someone out to my house that same day. Their customer service is really great, everyone I talked to on the phone was very helpful and nice. They have a really good communication system where they send you text updates and even a tracking website that shows you when exactly theyll arrive. Not to mention the technician himself was great. Kyle was extremely professional and walked me through everything that was going on with my AC. Im really impressed with this company and would certainly use them again even if they arent covered under my home warranty.

I’ve been using preferred home services (preferred air) for many years now since I first found them through my home warranty. We’ve replaced two condensers, done many tune ups, and fixed multiple issues such as leaks, capacitor outages, etc. I’ve been impressed with the company every step of the way, and have even used their plumbing services to replace two water heaters that my home warranty didn’t cover (home warranty wanted thousands of dollars of modifications that were unnecessary!)All in all I’ve had great experiences with all the folks I’ve worked with through the company, most notable being Matt Morris the tech who I trust like a family member with our AC units, which is a big deal here in Texas! The other being Cody the plumber who did a fantastic job on our water heaters- it wasn’t cheap but it was extremely well done and I’ve been very happy with the job quality!Adding to what I just posted- on the AC side I think they’ve been extremely reasonable with what does or doesn’t have to be immediately done- this is what I was referring to with trusting them- I don’t feel like I’m being ripped off which has unfortunately happened with a handful of companies over the years. Their rates have been competitive with others and for value I think I’m getting much better than others in the area can offer.

This has got to be the most professional Air Conditioning company in Houston who goes way beyond for their customers. My AC went out when the heat index was 106 late in the afternoon. They scheduled me for the first appointment at 8 am the following morning.I received a confirmation email and text explaining who my technician was going to be the following morning. I received a text letting me know that he was on his way prior to the appointment.John Almazon, the technician, was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He was very thorough when explaining the technical aspect of the issues with my AC unit. He had great pride in his work and working for Preferred Air.This company is unlike most in that they are there to help when others want to sell you more service.I highly recommend Preferred Air & Roofing and will not use anyone else in the future.

This had to of been the best experience Ive ever had when getting my biannual HVAC maintenance performed. It all started with the customer service representative who answered the phone (Bryan), who was very knowledgeable and had a terrific attitude. He then scheduled my maintenance in a timely manner. Then, the day of the maintenance, the technician arrived on time. Once he began my pre-season tune-up, he did not hesitate to educate me on everything he was going over. He then thanked me for maintaining my HVAC system to a like new condition, being that it is 15 years of age. I will continue to use Preferred Home Services for many years to come!

My AC went out and I called a local AC repair business. The quote I received was I thought was a little high, but I was willing to pay it since I needed my AC back ASAP. This company said it would take a week to come back to do the replacement since they were so busy. I understand its summer and theyre busy, but I could not wait a week. AC hasnt been running as strong as wed like, granted, weve been in a massive heat wave. We used our Home Warranty to call out a service tech.Tech came on time and was absolutely lovely. I felt so bad it was so hot, but he was a joy the whole time. Immediately he got to work on outdoor unit, saw an issue, told us ASAP, let me know what was under warranty and what wasnt.Told tech we have a room that runs warmer than rest of house and I wanted to see/dream about an addl vent. He was sweet, he said hed have to see it in house, but would need to take off his shoes, so would do it after attic time. That consideration stood out to me. Even in house he went through cheap options and thoughts about vent for room with issues. He could have easily upsold me or pushed something else on me.Fortunately for me, he got upstairs and realized the vent wasnt hooked up. Likely it has been unnoticed because getting to that vent is miserableMy guess hes first AC dude in a while to actively check things.And all, pretty great. Would use again.

Preferred Air was assigned a job through my home warranty company. I do not have enough good things to say about Preferred Air & their employees. After being without A/C for almost a month because of incompetence & getting the absolute WORST runaround from my warranty co., they took it upon themselves to fix my unit without being paid. They felt enough is enough, being without A/C for that long, & that they would deal with the warranty co. later. They said they felt like I was still their customer, even though they were contracted and assigned the job from the warranty co. for my repair. Hopefully it wont take too long for Preferred Air to be rightfully paid for the excellent services rendered. John was my technician & did a fantastic job of getting our house comfortable again. Very fast , efficient, & neat. He was extremely pleasant & informing , taking all the time needed explaining what the job entailed. Thank you again John.I also cant thank Gabriella enough for all of her help & enduring pressure on my warranty co. to get their act in gear. Hours upon hours on the phone dealing with this, all while mostly on hold with the warranty co. The responsiveness, professionalism, and honesty this company displays is incredible from start to finish!I came home to a pretty leaky A/C unit last night - this same unit Ive tried half-heartedly to get somebody out for because of cooling issues. I called in around 6:30-7:00PM, which is after hours. A gentleman who I can assume to be the owner answered the phone and got me set up for a visit FIRST THING IN THE MORNING NEXT DAY. Awesome!Fast-forward to this morning, my A/C guy, MATT MORRIS, arrived early within the window of time I was given. He quickly diagnosed and addressed the issues I was having. Not only that, but he was completely transparent, insightful, and professional about all of it. When it comes to tradesmen, theres really nothing more you can ask for than that. Let me also mention this call ended up WAY CHEAPER than I had originally anticipated. What a relief considering I cant even pump gas without going broke!So now, Im sitting in a MUCH COOLER, LESS LEAKY house and Matt Morris is working on quotes for future recommended repairs. Preferred Air and Roofing came highly recommended to us by our good friends and neighbor. Anthony came out the same day I called and very thoroughly explained to me the details of my new ac options as we knew our ac needed to be replaced. He answered all of my questions and was available for my husband to ask any other questions by phone. We had a newly installed ac 2 days later! They crew was in and out in 5 hours. We had a few follow up questions and Anthony was very responsive to them. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Anthony and his team at Preferred Air.

Our HVAC was in need of a full replacement. Nick came out at 7:30 at night on the same day we called to take a look at the issues and provide us with quote. He took his time explaining what we needed and gave us options. His quote was reasonable and clear and he was able to schedule us for a next day installation. Our tech Lee was fabulous! He was careful to cover our wood floors and carpet in the areas he would be working. Installation took some time, but he kept us informed. He did a thorough job in our with our furnace installation in the attic, explained how our new drain pan and float worked, blew out our drain lines, and replaced our defunct plenums. He installed the outside unit and thermostat and then taught us the basics of how to work it. I’d highly recommend Preferred Air for the top notch work and customer service!

This was the second time I have had Preferred Air fix my ac units for two different issues. Each time I have spoken with the owner of the company and he has always fit me in the schedule as soon as possible and made me feel that he cared. I love working with a company that truly knows their business and makes the customer feel important. The technician that was sent out was AWESOME. Nick called 45 minutes before he arrived to make sure I would be home and he promptly arrived as promised. COMPREHENSIVE PROFESSIONALSWater heater replaced (they also replaced all needed parts with new ones). Technicians were Matt Bankston and Matthew Ray. Same day service. They were highly motivated, expedient, professional, thorough, trustworthy and took care of EVERYTHING. I dont have decking at water heater, however they brought their own so it wasnt an issue.Quotes and assessments from 2 other plumbing services, Lanco and Vintage wanted me install decking myself prior to service (Lanco) or pay them to do it (Vintage quote listed it as a possible charge that wasnt included in out of pocket charge through home warranty)My home warranty company, Landmark Home Warranty, initially assigned Vintage plumbing, and I authorized new water heater to be installed by them, however immediately after seeing Vintage ratings (they are low right now), I immediately cancelled the service request with Vintage and requested Preferred Air (aka Preferred Home Services) because they have good ratings and I have used them before through Landmark and they were avail for appt. However, Landmark stated they already ordered the parts for Vintage to do it and didnt allow me to cancel service request (and didnt allow new service request to Preferred Air in which I would pay visit fee again) Other option, get paid out by Landmark and contract my own install. I opted for getting paid by Landmark and contracting my own install with Preferred Air. It was slightly more expensive ($200-$300 more) but worth it.I was transparent with all companies letting them know I was comparing quotes. I was also honest with Vintage about my concerns for their low ratings right now so they could rectify it. The technician who visited our home was professional and trustworthy, Mr. Kenneth, but it was the company rating I was concerned about. They had a few good reviews and I probably would have proceeded with them if my budget was more strict and I was a more confidant home owner as I know little about big appliances)Lanco is good, I have used them for smaller projects that arent covered by warranty.Im glad we chose Preferred Air for the big project. Water heaters are heavy, tricky to remove without making a mess and require decking for technicians to be able to function. If you have a home warranty and Preferred Air is in network. Request them. If you dont have a home warranty and want excellent service that leaves you feeling you dont have to worry, use Preferred Home Services.

These guys are great! We had a blower motor that needed to be replaced and they did an excellent job educating us on the issue and solving the problem. The office crew was very friendly and Nick Young (the person that came out to our house and did the work) was super nice!! I needed to get my AC tuned up before summer and Matt came out and found out that my fan motor was bad. I wasn’t sure what that was, but he talked to me about it and actually was able to make it make sense, so I really appreciated the extra time he took talking to me. I had Tyler come to my home to check on my hvac. Though there were no immediate issues, he was able to acknowledge things in the home that may cause issues in the future.

I happened to come across Preferred Home Services when I submitted a request under my home warranty for an AC question. We moved into an older home that had been renovated previously, so we did not know much about the exact details of work. We knew we had some projects to finish up. When Preferred Home Services arrived and looked into my question, they answered and educated me on my concern. I went ahead and asked them on a quote for new duct work and if they did insulation. They gave me a good quote and we contracted them. They once again arrived on time and text me each time they were on their way. In addition, they knew it was in the middle of last August and so kept me abreast about any material taking longer to arrive due to Covid. During the project, the technicians educated us on the work they were doing and troubleshooting. They did an amazing job that when my AC started acting up a few days ago, I called them. They answered right away and sent someone within an hour. They figured the problem and took care of it right away. Once again, the technician educated us and explained what led to the problem. I will continue to go to them for any HVAC issues because they have earned our trust and pricing is reasonable. They have also assured us that our unit is good, just had not been properly maintained prior to us. They made sure that we should no longer have any issues moving forward. Definitely recommend this company. All their technicians are professional and down-to-earth. No arrogance at all and they are super knowledgeable.

Preferred Home Services is responsive and gets the problem fixed. Shout out to John-- really appreciate the work. I hear the company is moving into plumbing as well, and now has roofing-- exciting stuff because I trust the company, and we have a remodel coming up.Original:Weve used Preferred Air for years, both through our home warranty company and independently. We have two air conditioner units, and at least one likes to act up each summer. These guys are responsive, quick, on time, knowledgeable, fairly priced, and frankly just pleasant to deal with-- great qualities when its 100 degrees inside your house and youre a tad cranky. Nick came to my house the same day I called over the winter to look at my furnace, and when I was able to have the entire system replaced I called him. He had someone out the very next day. Nick answered every question I had, all my calls and texts, etc. Dren and all of the others that came to install were polite, professional, and did an amazing job! Highly recommend.

Our bulldog likes to chew the wires to our outside unit causing it to not work properly. I called Preferred Air and they came out same day actually Nick the technician was there two hours early which was wonderful!! He was able to fix what wires needed to be secure and was beyond helpful and polite. If youre looking for fast reliable work I would highly suggest Preferred Air & Plumbing of Houston.

The overall experience has been better than imagined. We had a complete 2 horizontal gas systems install. There was constant communication to let us know when service would occur via text messages as well as when and who would be arriving. They were on time, very polite, very fast, very quiet, with minimal disruption while my wife and I were working from home that day. Highly recommended!

Houston Preferred Air serviceman Cody was extremely knowledgeable about the state of our water heater. The service called came through my Home Warranty Company - Landmark - Which I was not completely happy with how they handled the situation; but that is for another review. Cody took the time to explain everything to me, especially the best and worst case scenario. The biggest plus was that he was very accurate and prompt with arrival times, on both days; diagnostic and installation. Installation had to be dragged out because it was a HW claim. I also want to give credit to Anthony, the owner, very reasonable and fair. He explained the delays and was clear on my out of pocket expenses. Landmark, handled this poorly, even to the point to where they made me contact the service company myself to get an explanation. I felt this was wrong because Houston Preferred Air is a contractor of their choice. All in all, service was good and the job got done. I am fortunate to have had a quality team on my service call. I had John come out initially to look at the heater. All was fine, but he said the ac drain pan needed to be replaced. (He was the third to tell me that, inspector when I got the house about a year ago, the ac tune up guy, and then John.) When he said that I knew he was legit. After the holidays I had him come back out to replace the pan, which by the by, was the most AFFORDABLE around. I had some companies want TRIPLE what they wanted! John was professional, on time, and polite! I would highly recommend!

Nick was on time, helpful, and funny. He explained what was wrong and offered to fix additional issues that he noticed in our attic that we had been putting off. His price for those additional repairs was a bargain so we took him up on his offer. Wonderful!

Lee from the PHS team and an assisting technician helped yesterday with a partial drain line replacement and leveling the coil, which was causing water to spill into the furnace and leak onto my ceiling. Horrible experience so far but we are forced to use them through our home warranty. First the AC technician said it was an electrical issue. Electrician came out and there was nothing wrong. Then technician came back and found that the compressor actually needed to be replaced we had to wait a day to find that out because the technician left without saying anything. We had to call owner to figure out where he went, the owner couldn’t get a hold of him. Now they are price gouging us on freon, charging us $140/gallon. Absolutely ridiculous. Luckily we have friends in the AC business who are willing to help us.

My heater went out last Friday and my home warranty company directed my to Preferred Air. I have an infant and needed my heater working for the weekend’s cold weather. They were able to get me an appointment the same day! John came and was extremely professional and answered all my questions. He followed CoVid safety precautions. He and Gabrielle, the contact at the office, were able to get the part ordered so that my heater was repaired on Monday. I’m pleased with the quick, friendly service and the information both John and Gabrielle provided.

This organization is awesome! Many problems after Harvey - multiple contractors only looking for a buck. I needed help ASAP as AC wasn’t working and painters were scheduled for the next day - I called at night - Xavier promised to come the next day. Nick showed up to do the work. He got my AC running right away and didn’t try to mislead me into thinking I needed something I didn’t! The were fast, courteous, honest and fair. Exactly what a business should be!

The GM, David, came out to diagnose the problem late one evening and was very professional and gave advice on only certain components in our HVAC system that needed replacing. His company was the third one I contacted in order to make sure I was getting a fair deal. Preferred Air hands down offered the best price and warranty, so good that our whole system was replaced. Being a satisfied customer is an understatement, his crew had the whole system replaced in less than 24hrs from the time I made the initial phone call. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of A/C repair or replacement.

Best AC company! Preferred Air of Houston came out on a Saturday to fix our AC unit when the work order was put in by our home warranty that morning. Usually they do not come out on weekends but they were happy to send someone out to help us and the problem was resolved the day we contacted Preferred Air of Houston. They were great, professional, and prompt. Nick, the AC technician, identified the problem immediately and fixed the AC in 20 minutes! I recommend this company to everyone!!!

I called Preferred Air & Roofing Of Houston to help find a leak that was dripping down into my sheet wall. Right after booking, I received a text confirmation that they will be out the next day. Once Matt arrived, he was very professional and immediately went into the attic and found the leak within 15 minutes of looking! He had everything sealed properly and I havent experienced the issue again. These guys are very knowledgeable and extremely professional and easy to work with. I would recommend Preferred Air of Houston to anyone. We had a new unit installed through our warranty company, after three contractors with all sorts of problems and wrong diagnosises our warranty company finally sent out Preferred Air of Houston. Nick was very professional and knowledgeable our new unit was finally installed. The owner even called us to make sure everything was going well. We had one issue after the install and Nick came out spent about hour testing everything and diagnosed the issue and had someone out the next day to correct it. It is refreshing to finally have a company that stand by their work and do the right thing. I gave 5 stars because I have had several contractors out here over the last year and they are by far the best in this area!

I just had Matt make a service call to my home for an AC unit not shooting air into Zone 1 (upstairs). He was very patient and thorough with his explanations. He cleared the drain line which looked to be clogged and gave me multiple options (best & worst case scenarios).Timeliness is a big deal for me and he was right on time and called in advance just as I was told he would. Preferred Air was sent to my property through Landmark Home Warranty. After three attempts by a different company to resolve our heater issue, Nick was able to correctly diagnose the problem. Once they had the part JJ was sent out and was quick with the install and testing. Both technicians were very professional and knowledgeable, and the office staff was courteous and communicative. I always knew the status of the service request and heard from both technicians in advance of their arrival. Home Warranty contractors are very hit and miss, but Ill definitely be calling Preferred Air for any future issues!

They have come out to address two of my AC issues and were wonderful to work with as theyre very informative and let me know what my options are to proceed with.

They did some work for my office and when they arrived the technician was very friendly. He answered all my questions promptly. After explaining what was wrong he gave me a free quote to replace my unit and it beat two other quotes I had gotten! After replacing my unit I had no further issues! I am very pleased with Preferred and would highly recommend them!
