My heat pump stopped heating 3 years after Arthur Hagar had installed it. AH came out about 4 days after calling for service.The technician was friendly and listened to my issues. He mentioned they charged a $99 diagnosis fee. The technician ended up finding 2 failed parts with the system. The system is under warranty, however, labor is not included. I was completely blindsided when the technician had finished and showed me a bill for $519. I was NEVER given an option to not do the repair and just pay the diagnosis fee. What is the point of charging a diagnosis fee if you do not give the customer an option if they want to actually have the repair performed?? Your customer should NEVER be blindsided by a massive bill AFTER the fact.I called to talk to the service manager and my call was never returned. I will no longer be doing business with Arthur Hagar and make sure all of my neighbors know of their shady business practices.
I recently had a 18 SEER Heat Pump and air handler installed at my home. Once again Arthur Hagar did an outstanding job. My salesman George provided me with 3 options of HVAC equipment. The quote was better than 3 other quotes I received for comparable systems. He was also available throughout the sales phase for any questions. The installation is a work of art; Rudy and crew arrived on time and got down to business. They were finished by 2pm. I highly recommend Arthur Hagar.
Absolutely the worst experience Ive had dealing with a warranty company on a new build. Lisa has to be the rudest person Ive ever been forced to talk to. I bought a new house, they did the install on the build, the system had a leak, took two weeks in July for them to come out, it quit working again, they are simply dragging their feet so the warranty will expire. System is still not working again.
Reported a problem with one of the vents having mold around it and it has taken over a month for them to come and attempt to fix it. Weve already moved furniture 3 times to prepare for their arrival space to work and they dont show up. When the did show up they didnt have the correct equipment or parts to perform the job. I would have to say they are probably the least comprehensive in warranty work and they are just sending sub contractors without any valid information to complete the job. The issue was reported July 19th and they still havent fixed anything.
Very dependable company. They have helped me for over 2 decades with our AC needs, from new install to repairs.Shout out to Chase and Rudy for providing professional and friendly service. I called Arthur Hagar because my parents have used them for years. Chase showed up on time, was very personable and professional, and helped walk me thru the entire process. I received the bid in a timely manner and was very impressed with how clear and well organized it was. The price for a Carrier A/C unit came in significantly cheaper than 2 other companies I had quote me on less reputable brands. He also pointed out a few things that needed to be fixed which they would include at no additional cost. The installers showed up at the scheduled time and got to work. They were professionals who got the job done with no hassle. There was a small misunderstanding with the thermostat I wanted, but it was sorted out immediately. Overall, I will continue using and would recommend these guys to anyone else.
We recently replaced our almost 19 year old HVAC system and Arthur Hagar made the process so pleasant in every way. The original builder of our home also used Arthur Hagar for the install, and that made this experience even better, as they still had information on file. The office staff at original contact was helpful and that has continued throughout the pricing, scheduling, and follow up. George, our salesman, was very knowledgeable and willing to do whatever necessary for a quality product & install, as well as being able to answer every question we had. The install crew (Rudy & Eduardo) were skilled, hard working, and very knowledgeable about the new system. Their work was precise and they provided us with a thorough explanation of unit operation. We highly recommend this company!

Called to get an estimate on an AC unit for a shop. They told me they had trouble getting parts in and could not sale me anything at this time. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing, but thought I would share.
Recently had solar installed at hour house. Bought the home in 2009, was built in 2005. HVAC was 15+ years old but still working, but only had electric heat when installed. I called Arthur Hagar on recommendation from the Trane website as we like the life of the unit already installed and wanted the same. Salesperson from Arthur Hagar was very friendly and put together a quote for us. Install took place not too long afterwards. Their installers knew what they were doing and got the install completed in one day. Overall experience with Arthur Hagar has been pleasant.
4 year old unit and it is 105 outside, the house is 80 degrees at 9pm, and they can’t get to us for 5 days. SUPER TERRIBLE SERVICE. we have 2 young kids and we are looking to get a hotel. Save your money folks..use someone else that stands behind their product and install..
Arthur Hagar installed our AC’a several years ago and they have done our maintenance ever since. We have 3 units and are happy with their service. We have the maintenance agreement which was very helpful when one of our blowers went out in the summer. They do an excellent job and communication and they have always sent knowledgeable and thoughtful technicians. Usually the technician has been to our home before and we really like that. We trust the guys they send.
Highly recommend Arthur Hagar HVAC. They have been my go-to HVAC company since I was introduced to them when I bought my house. They got both of my heat pumps up and running in a house that was empty for a couple years. Whenever I wanted a system heath check or needed maintenance, the experience was always pleasant and reasonable. They help me get 20 years of service out of the systems I had. Not too bad!This year it was time to replace both units, and I didn’t hesitate to contact Arthur Hagar to take care of me. George (sales) was out to the house to estimate what was needed within hours of calling them. He created estimates ranging from the lowest cost option to a the top end option. After talking with George and with some neighbors and friends, I decided to go with two new Trane two-stage heat pumps. Once the decision was made, Arthur Hagar was at the house within a day to install the new units.The installation crew removed the old units and installed the new ones very quickly and quietly (I work from home and didn’t hear them at all). I looked over the installation and was very impressed with the quality of work done and the cleanliness of the work area. They left no debris behind.After having the new units for the past few weeks, I can say they work great, are very quiet, and keep the house at a constant comfortable temperature. Very glad we picked the two-stage units.
Absolutely do NOT ever use Arthur Hagar for any of your air conditioning or heater needs. I would gladly give ZERO stars if able. Their business activities are borderline criminal.We built a new home in 2020. Our builder contracted Arthur Hagar to install the 2 new air conditioning units for our home. Then in November of 2023 one of the A/C units stopped blowing cold air. We called Arthur Hagar to come out since the units were still under warranty. Hagar came out and determined the A/C coil had gone bad. Luckily, that was still under warranty. Hagar then charged us a service fee for coming out to inspect the units that they installed just 3 years ago and are still under warranty. They then told us they would order the coil but would not make an appointment to replace the coil until it came in…a week later. Thankfully it was November, so it was not unbearable (even though temps were getting into the low 80s). They also told us that the warranty would cover the coil, but we would still have to pay the labor costs (on a 3 year old system they installed, and that they had already charged us a service visit for). They did NOT provide an estimate.A week later they returned to replace the coil. The service employee was not friendly, but he seemed to know what he was doing. In less than 2 hours the repair was complete. He then presented me with the bill…for $1,460!!!!! I informed him that the coil was under warranty and that we were only paying for the labor. He replied, “That is the labor bill.”I asked, “You mean I’m paying $1,400 in labor for less than 2 hours of work?”He replied, “No. You’re paying one thousand, four hundred, AND SIXTY dollars for less than 2 hours of work.” And, yes, he was that sarcastic about it.I told him that was ridiculous, and he told me to take it up with his boss. The work was done at that point, so I paid and assured him we would be contacting his boss.Upon contact with his supervisor at Hagar, they explained that this was common practice. When we complained, he justified the cost for several reasons. Each excuse was weak and sad.First, he explained that they are only busy 3 months out of the year. In order to retain top talent, they pay them 4 times more than they should to accommodate for that. To begin with, one of their excuses for it taking over a week to get back to us was because they were so busy fixing heaters. Second, is November one of their 3 busy air conditioning repair months? Lastly, NOT MY PROBLEM. This is not a socialist country where I should have to subsidize a private company so their employees can work 3 months out of the year, yet get paid like they’re working a full 12 month job.Next, he claimed that it wasn’t their fault that the A/C coil failed, and, therefore, they should not be responsible for replacing them. Of course, our warranty is with Arthur Hagar, not the company Arthur Hagar bought the A/C unit from. So, Arthur Hagar should take that up with the A/C company. But, the paying customer whose A/C unit failed while under warranty should not be responsible for paying anything. Arthur Hagar is probably double-dipping with the A/C company and their customers.The last excuse was the best. Arthur Hagar claimed that this labor charging scam was standard policy. He explained that they copied the technique from a company in California. Let’s peel that back for a minute. To begin with, I do not live in California (Thank you, God!), and this is one of the reasons why. Since when did any “standard” labor charging practice in California have any relevance to work that happens in our right-to-work state of Texas? The justification for the labor rates that Arthur Hagar is using in Texas is based on alleged labor rates in California!!!!!Everything about this company is shady and wrong. Had I known what I know now I would never, ever, ever, ever, ever have used them, which is why I have taken the time to post this review so that you will know better than to ever use this company. DO NOT USE ARTHUR HAGAR!
Ricardo with Arthur Hagar was excellent. We had some issues with our HVAC system that needed some help and I was able to get an appointment quickly, and even earlier than expected. Ricardo showed up on time and was super friendly, and quick to start assessing the situation. After thoroughly inspecting, Ricardo took care of the issue, explaining the situation and the cause and the resolution. I was incredibly relieved that the issue was investigated thoroughly and accurately. The friendly, knowledgeable and honest service from Ricardo helped to reaffirm my decision to continue doing business with Arthur Hagar.
Our complex (Townhomes) used Arthur Hagar for their install and service while during the sales cycle. Many of us decided to continue using them. In April, I started a service contract with them. They came to service other units in the complex so I assumed they also serviced mine. No note was left, no indication otherwise.Now, its mid July. Our AC went out and is not blowing cold. I called on a Thursday in the AM and was told they could come Saturday without an OT rate, since I was on a contract. I waited around all day Saturday, then called around 2pm since no-one showed. I was informed it was never placed on the schedule. George was very helpful (as much as he could be) and told me to call back in. I called the office again today; no record of my calls which I find very interesting. They said next spot was 6 days out. Do NOT use this company!!!! This is the worst service!
Gave me an initial price of $100 for my AC unit to be repaired. The repair man came and replaced a sensor in 10 mins, raised the price to $170 to include labor and then the company told him to raise it more to $270. Untrustworthy! On top of that, they came out a few years ago to replace a part in the AC and put their sticker over our actual AC carriers sticker so we would call them instead of the carrier who we have a warranty with. Then they misled us to believe we were under warranty and were only gonna be charged a technical fee.
Not happy with the customer service we have received from the service department. Everytime we call or she calls us she comes off very rude. We called cause our AC was broken (before Thanksgiving week just got fixed correctly the day after Christmas). The 1st time they came out it was fixed for an hour. While they were here they found something else that was wrong but had nothing to do with why our AC wasnt working. An hour after that man left our AC stopped working again. I end up calling back and telling them it broke again that lady in the service department was rude. She was not paying attention to what I was explaining to her and she was talking to me like an idiot telling me a part was on order. The problem was that that part on order was not the cause of our AC being broke. I was very sick and was not in the mood to argue with her. We ended up waiting for the part to come in to deal with the person who is fixing it. We didnt want to deal with that lady. Once the part came in same lady called to schedule an appointment to replace the part, I missed her call because I was at work. When I called back to schedule the appointment she had nasty attitude again asking how I even know if the part was in or not. My response was you called me and left the message. A man came out to put that part on and found out what the real problem was and put the part on order. That part came in and we were schedule for Dec 21st for them to come out. My husband gets a call saying they were on their way am hour later still no one has showed up then eventually hours later he gets a call canceling cause it was wet outside. The part they needed to replace was on the inside of our house. So they rescheduled us for Dec 26th. So finally we were able to get our AC fixed. I have to say Im not a fan and wont recommend this company. Im a very forgiving person and give lots of chances. This situation had way to many problems. It was just one thing after another. I only give it a 2 star cause the man that came out the last two times was amazing so that goes to him and his customer service.
I bought a new unit in 2018 and have semi-annual service calls to change the filters. The technicians are so pleasant, the owners are an amazing family and Chase explained all my options when purchasing. I recommend this company for all your heating and air conditioning needs.
I have used this company twice now, both times at two different houses and each time is the best experience ever. They have absolutely the best available product at the best available price. There is never a doubt that you are going to get the best service from start to finish with this company. The installation is always the best, done in a meticulous manner that goes to show just how much expertise they have on hand to install the units.
I’m reluctant to leave reviews but I have had this company come out at least 4 times in the past 8 years. Every time they impressed me. I called them for a second opinion because my system got clogged and wasn’t draining. They couldn’t caway and suggested I call a certified technician because they care about my comfort.I called another company that quoted me 10,000 worth of repairs. The other company didn’t even address the clog until I insisted! The clog was cleared at the drain out and I was told I still needed $10,000 worth of repairs.Long story short I called AH to give me a second opinion and they assured me all is well with my unit. Please for your own protection call Arthur Hager for your needs. Thank you Bret for being a great leader to Dale and the rest of your team. When your technicians are speaking well of you and your sister in this day and age you are doing things right. Please take my money and my gratitude.
New buyer beware. 2.5 year old dual system installed by Arthur both indoor and outside units. One unit was not blowing cold, took more than a week to get a diagnosis on a bad indoor evaporator core, during the Texas heat. Labor+Feon costs to replace after another week of waiting on a part: $1,460, the technician was there for less than 2 hrs. They would not breakout costs for the invoice and stated thats the going rate, office staff was down right rude multiple times. Sales associate was great to work with on the original install.
I signed up for Arthur Hagar’s maintenance program. Mike was great technician who serviced my unit and changed my air filter in the attic. He was very efficient and friendly. AH installed my unit 5 years ago and have been pleased with their service. Definitely recommend for all your HVAC service needs.
I had a brand new a/c Trane XV-18 installed by Hagar last month. It wasn’t cheap two weeks after installation the thermostat popped up with some troubles, which disabled the system from cooling the house. I was not happy and contacted Hagar and they sent out a technician. Before that I contacted George and he was able to walk me through a process to bypass the troubles which allowed the unit to cool. The only issue is I had to perform this every other day. So the technician comes out, checks the system and everything was running properly. So he did a few things and said if the system started doing it again to contact them back and they would get it addressed . Well, it happened again so they came back out and I was informed it was a part that needed to be ordered. So you can imagine how frustrated I was after dropping all that money on a new system only to having issues early on. The part was ordered and they came back out and now it’s running like a champ. I have to say at the beginning I wasn’t happy. The Hagar guys were on top of it and wasted no time in getting my system up and running. Like most people on here I read the reviews and some were good and some not so good. I really don’t like to base my decision on those reviews. I like to find out for myself and when the system started acting up I started to lean the way of the negative nellys. I didn’t join the negative the team of negative nellys. I have to say I was treated very well and I am very happy with the outcome. Thanks a million, our new unit runs like a dream now!!!
We’ve had Arthur Hagar service our AC units since we moved into our house 14 years ago. They’ve always been prompt, courteous and professional. They just replaced one of our units. They were very informative about our options. Needed access from inside the house to get to the attic unit. The installation was quick, they were very careful and cleaned up after the job was done. You would never know that they had hauled all that hardware in and out of the house after the work was done. They explained how the new unit worked, how to adjust it and filed all the required warranty information for the unit. The price was more than fair for the unit we installed. Great company and great job guys. Highly recommend.
We had a home inspection done before our 1yr warranty was expired on our new home. It was recommended that we have our HVAC installer come out to check on things. Mike came out to check our system and make sure everything was up to par. He was very professional and informative about our HVAC system. Checked the differentials and coolant levels. Adjusted as necessary.
Arthur Hagar AC did a fantastic job replacing my failing ac system with a new two stage Trane. They arrived promptly and got right to work, performed a clean installation and made sure everything worked before leaving. Chase my service manager gave me up front pricing with different options so I could choose what was best for me. Ill use them from now on!
TERRIBLE, bottom line. Office staff is rude and condescending. Technicians no show. It is 109 today and our A/C is out. We waited for a week for this appt.The office staff refuses to give you a time when the technicians will show up. If you miss your call from them when they are on the way, they simply do not come. You can read the vendors responses to other 1 star reviews and they openly admit this faulty policy.This happened to me today waiting around for the technician, but working from home. I was home all day. I was on conference calls and didnt answer their incoming phone call. The voice mail I received was that they will not be coming today since I didnt answer the call.I called back about 20 minutes later after the conference call concluded and they were out to lunch. When I called back they said they cannot make it out today now. How convenient since it is a Friday. They said they could schedule me for tomorrow. I said yes.I called back asking them for a time frame so that I wasnt hanging around the house again all day tomorrow. I was told that they cannot give me a time frame, same as before. I asked them to make an exception since I had already sat around for a whole day and they did not come. The lady transferred me to another woman. This woman was extremely rude and condescending, so derogatory. In reading many many reviews here, this is a common issue for this company.The company talks about how long they have been around, well, this isnt reflective of the companys service today. There are many many negative reviews, please read through them!Not to mention that they installed our brand new unit 3 years ago and the connection is faulty per another HVAC technician.Read these reviews and also the Yelp reviews where they have a 1.7 star rating.We will NEVER use them. HVAC contractors are a dime a dozen in Texas. This firm is expensive when compared to others. Happy to find someone else. Thank you Arthur Hagar for prompting us to move on! :D
Terrible customer service. Constant issues with this company. The final straw was a thermostat that they installed going bad while under warranty. We tried to get it scheduled for them to come replace and we were told we were no longer in their service area so it would be an additional fee even though they were contracted by our builder to install our entire HVAC system and their name is on our thermostats and our unit.
They were very prompt considering the brutal heat wave upon us! I’m sure they are overwhelmed with calls like oursMike was thorough. Found the problem, a solder joint leak on the condenser. Fixed and on to his next job. Very friendly and courteous. Happy customer here!!!
I had a house built 6 years ago and the company used Arthur Hagar. I have had issues with the AC at least 3 to 4 times a year since I have been there. They installed the condensation line in my sink drain and they didn’t even do that right. Thank God for Homeshield because Arthur Hagar sucks! I would never recommend them to anyone. I have had something on the AC mess up at least 3 times a year and have had to have Homeshield come out and repair it. I have an AC guy who is a Master Tech and he even said that they did a terrible job installing my AC unit and that they cut corners. Homeshield fixes what is broken on the AC and there is always something different every time. Ridiculous!! Would have given no stars but it would not let me post until I put at least 1!
Mike was great, we finally may have a cool bedroom! Just know if a technical issue, schedule way before 5, tech support leaves. We have to reschedule for a broken thermostat in another bedroom due to support gone after 5
Our builder used Arthur Hagar for the HVAC system and we have had it leak on our ceiling causing damage for the second time. The secondary drain which is used for emergency draining is not properly installed and has never drained an ounce of water, it just drains on our ceiling instead. The tech that came out after the first incident assured us that everything was good even though to me it didnt look like he did anything except verify the primary drain was unclogged. After calling in to see if they would send someone out to make it right, Lisa informed me that they didnt service my area, and hung up on me after I questioned her about it.
Worst customer service! My AC was broken (I thought). They couldnt come out for a week so I found another company that came out same day only to learn that Hagar was the cause of my AC to not work. The last technician didnt secure the panels and the unit shut off as safety precaution. Then they didnt show for the scheduled appt. When I tried to reschedule they were rude and claimed I owed a $90 service call.
Ricardo who came out to service my air conditioner and change out the filter was very friendly, efficient and very professional. When I asked him a question he would explain in detail and showed me how to adjust the thermostat instead of just telling me.I was very pleased with the service.
Dale was great! He was on time and walked me through exactly what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. When he was done, he provided me easy ways to prevent the issue with my ac from happening again.Super friendly and very knowledgeable!
The Tech, that came out was Mike. He was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. He assessed our problem quickly and explained in detail the issue he found. He got the A/C up and running and counseled me about a part that would be needed, in the near future. Great guy!
They are the company my builder used. Have had issues that they have struggled to diagnose. Have had them out to the house multiple times. Now they are saying my warranty covers the part but does not cover the labor in which the labor price they quoted to swap a control board out is $690 and takes 45minutes. BUT I could order a replacement board online & they’ll come replace it for $80.Off Amazon the board costs $390. No one will call me back to explain the logic behind this. They’re hideous.
Our builder unfortunately used this contractor to install the HVAC system on this 2019 custom home. The customer service and competence of this company is the worst I’ve experienced in the industry. The ladies that answer the phones are curt, callous, derisive, and dismissive. The technicians are friendly enough but I have to question the company’s competence as three different techs came out over a three week period to service, assess, and fix the problem but failed to find (for three weeks) and failed to fix it. After the second technician replaced some parts—and still no AC—the third technician poked around and told us “we have to come back later to check for a refrigerant leak” as he didn’t “have that equipment on his truck.” They couldn’t come back to check until the end of the week. No sense of urgency after weeks of no AC. When I called, the service manager was immediately defensive, preferring to talk over the customer, but he acknowledged that the Trane equipment Hagar installs is “terrible.”So this is a company that apparently installs terrible equipment and can’t be bothered to fix it in a timely and professional manner when it fails (and it will fail). Arthur Hagar appears too proud of its past to treat its present customers with a modicum of respect or an ounce of appreciation. Arthur Hagar may have been around a long time, but that certainly does not make it a good company today. As the mounting 1-star Google reviews indicate, their worsening reputation reflects their poor performance. Arthur Hagar take notice: your policies and your people are failing you and failed us, your ex-customers.
Mike, came out found the issue and resolved it quickly. Or not. The same problem came up 12 hours later. So what was fixed was not the problem. I called back to let them know (July 4) and got a call back telling me Im on the list. Still waiting for a service tech 2 days later.
Missed appointments and totally incompetent. Couldnt figure out my issue in three visits. I called another company and they told me what it was over the phone without a service call. It was so simple I fixed it myself.
I’ve only used this company because my builder used them and it’s under warranty. I’ve had them out several times now in one year. Their quality is awful. They are very unprofessional. Many things found wrong on home inspections. They will fight you tooth and nail to deny things found and try to make you feel inadequate and wrong due to pride and laziness. The proof doesn’t lie. They hate when others inspect their work and find things. They tried to say I voided my warranty by having their work inspected! An inspection is an inspection, it is not service and it doesn’t void a warranty.I waited several weeks for today’s warranty inspection/repair and took of work/ cleared the day from important appointments. The tech stormed out after I explained his unprofessionalism and rude remarks were being recorded. He wouldn’t even look at the punch list given to him by the builder.My two units do not produce the same temperature results, my ducting is not sized right, their is an abnormal smell only when the heat is started (not like the typical burn off smell- one that makes me dizzy and sick), the drip pans were not centered under the unit which could’ve led to attic flooding, the emergency condensate lines were installed backwards and water was constantly dripping, emergency drip lines are placed hard to view where you can’t see if there is an issue, the ducting isn’t correctly sealed in the ceiling and the blown insulation comes through the venting making me sick, an air return was blowing instead of sucking due to not being properly sealed, etc. The list could go on.I highly recommend to never use this company.
Great company! Im always worried when I call an AC company that the so called service guy they send out is just an salesman only interested in selling me a new unit. Not with Arthur Hagar! From the installation to the follow up service calls, this company has been reliable, honest, and very professional. I would highly recommend this company to my friends and family!PS: The unit they installed has been extremely efficient and has greatly reduced my electric bills.
I called Arthur Hagar because our AC was not cooling our home for several days. I reached out to our builder to find out who we needed to call and he provided me with Arthur Hagars contact information. Our unit was not longer under warranty; however, any parts were. I called them on Mon the 20th and they said they could have someone out on Weds the 22nd. I had to take the day off because I could not arrange someone to be at my home to be there to let them in the attic. I called twice on Tues for an eta on arrival time with zero response from them. On Weds I called them at 1:22pm to find out when someone would be there because I had not been contacted at all. I was told they typically service between 1-4pm. I waited and waited, and then called back at 4:12pm irritated that I still had not heard from anyone! She said they just got arrival for the call and hed be on his way. The tech showed up a little after 4:30. He proceeded to work. He told me our unit was low about 2-3 gallons of refrigerant and itd be over $90+ a gallon to fill it, but first itd possibly have a leak to be that low and said he could check where the leak was. He said hed add some refrigerant first to see what itd do, so I said go ahead. He came back and said when he added refrigerant it went the opposite direction its supposed to go, which indicates a leak... I let him into the attic to check things out and he came down to tell me the coils were frozen. He said there isnt anything further he could do because they need to thaw and told me to turn off the AC for several hours and run the fan. He said hed have to come back another day to further access what was happening. He charged me a $100 service fee, here we are one week later with ZERO follow up call. I called another company the following day for a second opinion, and to actually get our AC fixed! Needless to say our unit was fixed and working the same day. There was no leak and they didnt need to fill the refrigerant. They cleared out a bunch of insulation that was causing the issue.

We had NO problems with our Arthur Hagar Air Conditioning. We replaced 3 units in total and used Arthur Hagar for all three. They showed up exactly when they said they would and did an outstanding job in a very short time. Their Trucks are clean and organized and they know exactly what they are doing. Since mine was a replacement they did an audit of the existing Ducting also. Pricing was competitive with our new Carrier Variable Speed units- They run very well and are super quiet- it will take a while to figure out the Thermostats as they have so many features- they work very well. Great Work!
Had these folks install our system in our house when we built from the ground up. They were great to deal with throughout the construction process. However, our system is 2-1/2 years old and looks like out condensing unit fan had gone out. Their recorded message says they will call back within 30 minutes whether weekends or holidays. I’ve called them three times and I have yet to receive a call back. I get that it’s hot and they probably have many service calls but to not get a return call back even with it being Labor Day is very disappointing. If you’re not going to call back please take that part of the message off of your recording or do call back and at least tell me you cannot make it out until next business day.MikeCrowley, TX
Rico was my technician . He found what caused my Carrier to shut down and then tipped me on how to prevent it from reoccurring. Our AC went out unexpectedly in August! It was 110 degrees outside and we were leaving for vacation in just a few days. We called several companies and got quotes for both repairs and replacements. Arthur Hagar was by far the most responsive, prompt and informative, and gave us the most options regarding repairs and replacements. We ultimately decided to replace the unit. Chase and his team were out to the house with 24 hours and had the unit replaced by lunch time. The house was cool and we were back in our beds that night. The city came to inspect the new unit and reported the job was “done perfectly” and “looked amazing”. We’ve been nothing but highly pleased with our more efficient, quiet, and cost saving new AC unit and we are loving the REME air purifier and have noticed our allergies are much better! I can not recommend (or thank!!!) Chase and Arthur Hagar AC enough!!! 5 stars!!!!
It is very disappointing when you know a certain company ( Arthur Hagar) installed your AC Unit very poorly to The point to where AC in attic shifts, breaks pipes and leans And leaks all over your ceiling because it wasn’t strapped properly and knowing my home is only 3 years old but it already has Unsightly water damage On ceiling and when my husband and I called Arthur Hagar Company they did nothing to assure us that it would get fixed, no apologies, nothing! as a matter of fact the lady who answered the phone said she spoke to the AC tech and he said it could of shifted for many reasons but that they weren’t going to come out to my house to tell us why it shifted because they didn’t know.. I told the kinda rude lady on the phone that before we start to repair our ceiling I wanted to make sure everything was good With the AC in the attic Because I didn’t want it to leak again after we make repairs on our ceiling and then I asked her about warranty since the AC was only a few years old And she said that the warranty is only good for parts and not the labor warranty.. apparently The labor warranty was only good for the first two years? And from what I was telling her, she didn’t think the warranty for parts would be covered in my situation.. So aside of all that.. Arthur Hagar charges an outrageous price of $90 for diagnosis ( and in reality we shouldn’t even have to pay for a diagnosis since Arthur Hagar company installed our unit very poorly ) and the soonest someone could come out to check out the AC would be a week from the day I called.. and apparently anything after 5pm was not convenient for Arthur Hagar company Because they close at 5pm, and weekends we’re not good for Arthur Hagar company either which was a real big problem for us because we don’t get home till after 5pm.. so bottom line! I was encouraged by the rude lady I was speaking with over the phone to look at Other companies that could accommodate my needs otherwise the soonest they could get to me would be in a week.. I did call other companies and had two different AC techs come check out the AC unit in my attic the next day and both AC techs told me the same thing! that the AC unit in my attic was poorly installed and not strapped correctly.. all I want to say is that my husband and I serve a mighty God and may he deal with Arthur Hagar air conditioning and heating accordingly! The work was done in poor quality and the customer service is not very good! Very, very disappointed that This company obviously doesn’t own up to its mistakes!
Had a high efficiency heat pump system put in my house last summer by Arthur Hagar. The salesman was thorough and informative. The price I got was better than the one I got from the company Ive been using for over 10 years! Have been very satisfied with my purchase and my entire experience with this company. No wonder they have an A+ rating with the BBB. Keep up the good work guys!

This company installed my AC system on a new build and didnt register it, so now the limited warranty is 5 years and not 10 like it should be
After receiving a quote from another company, we decided to have Arthur Hagar come out for an addition quote. Arthur Hagar was MUCH cheaper, and the technician provided excellent customer service! The only reason I even had them out is because its covered at 100% with our new home build. They make you call back to find out when theyll be there rather than any normal company that gives you a window of time. Ive had them out 3 times now to fix an issue that shouldve never been an issue had they installed the unit and duct work correctly. Highly recommend finding a better comment to go with and not bothering with them or their rude office staff.

Great experience with George and Rudy. Awesome deal, top tier equipment, and super clean installation. The city inspector even commented that he only lets Arthur Hagar heating and air work on his own home. I couldnt be happier! They also did the original install on my house when it was new in 1999, and that system was still running great when I had it replaced for this higher efficiency heat pump.
Great company. I needed my HVAC system replaced. From the start the sales person took their time and answered all my questions about what systems they sold and did a comparison of features each had. They did not pressure me into making a decision or make numerous phone calls after giving quote pressuring me to choose them as my installer. The crew that installed the unit was awesome. They worked fast and efficient and showed respect for my property. If I had to complain about anything; I would have like a little training on the new thermostat in person, however I called and asked my questions and all questions were answered.

Our A/C unit died. In the summer. Blerg! Our home was built in 1972 and this was the original unit installed by....Arthur Hagar! Yes, our unit lasted 45 years! We got a half dozen quotes. Arthur Hagar wasnt the cheapest, but, balanced with the equipment and services they were offering, their longevity in the area, and the fact that they had installed the original unit, we opted to go with them. Jeremy and Josh showed up early (yay!) on our appointment day and got right to work. Within 3 hours the old system was out and the new one was blowing cold air! There were no surprises, no hidden fees. They were clean, courteous, and professional, and left our home as clean (if not cleaner) than they found it (Jeremy vacuumed out the a/c closet and the return air chamber before installing the new one). We had them add a couple of drops while they were here and they left no evidence that they had been sawing through our ceiling. George, our sales rep, stopped by during the install just to check up on us. I am extremely pleased with Arthur Hagars service, personnel, promptness, and attention to detail. I would highly recommend them for any of your air conditioning or heating needs. 5 STARS!!!!!!!
1 star drop here for driving like a maniac. At 8:12 on 1/10/2024 at the intersection of Holiday and Mid-cities. Truck with Arthur Hagar decal floored it to get ahead of two vehicles and cut off a blue Kia, nearly causing an accident. Luckily the Kai reacted in time to prevent it.
Makes me so sad to find out the work I hired them for was either not done or very poorly done. Had a recent a/c issue (note: AH installed it all) and was told they’d try to get out that day and if not, the next morning. Didn’t make it that day so called the next morning to make sure they’d be here and was told they would TRY to make it the second day. Hired someone else. They were here in 45 minutes and within 5 minutes showed me the part that needed to be replaced. Within the next 15 minutes we were done. However, they told me also that our outside unit was filthy........we had just paid AH to clean and check our unit two months prior. We had also paid to have the coils cleaned and they were filthy. No more of that for us!

The contractors did a marvelous job, definitely gonna use them for future repairs. We were offered 2 different models and 2 types of payment options in the quote. Everything about the entire experience was great.
Called in to see if they could come out to service AC because it iced up. Lady at desk said they can come out Wednesday of the following week 🤔...REALLY! Its only 100* outside and I guess they dont care. They installed 3 units for me several years ago to the tune of $20k + and have been servicing the units to a tune of $730 per year. Then when I really need their help they dont respond in a timely fashion nor does the receptionist care to offer a better solution. Must be nice to have so much business that customer care is thrown out the window.
Awful company to do business with. They said they Ordered our part and quoted us 3 days. It’s been 10 days and we still have no part nor ac in the heat of Texas. Do they care? Nope. They can’t return phone calls, always “gone to lunch” past the hours the answering machine says are the lunch hours. The front office lady is extremely rude. I’m still waiting on a phone call from a manager who hasn’t made it back from lunch. It’s 2pm I’ll update after I get a phone call back.
I’ve used Authur Hagar several times and each time they have been professional and provided the requested service and provided suggestive ways to keep the system running top notch.
We called Arthur Hagar Air Conditioning & Heating about our downstairs thermostat causing the condenser and evaporator coils to freeze up. A technician came on 07/17/2020 to diagnose the unit and said that the indoor TXV valve was not closing correctly causing the coils to freeze. He said that the part was under warranty and had to order it. He did something to the unit and the blower fan motor started to make absurdly loud noise 30 minutes after he left. I called the company to see if they could send the technician to re-diagnose the loud noise but the manager said that he would send someone the following week (after 7 days). I called after 7 days and the receptionist told me that manager decided that he would not send a technician until the parts arrived because that was normal when the TXV valve does not open. After being told that the parts would arrive in 10 business days, the parts finally arrived on 08/10/2020 (after 24 days). During this whole time when I would call and tell them to re-diagnose the issue because it is very unlikely for the TXV valve to fail just after 4 years of installation (I talked about this to one of my AC tech friends in another state and he told me it could be something simple as low refrigerant or a bad capacitor or something else), they would tell me that there is nothing they can do until the parts arrive and I didnt know what I was talking. Fast forward to today (08/10/2020), the technician arrived and said that it was just a bad run capacitor and the previous technician had mis-diagnosed the unit. Then he tried to charge me $89 diagnostic fee again ( which they disguise as a tune-up fee if they come the second time) and $137 for a capacitor that costs $15 or so at any hardware store. We stayed in 90 degrees plus house for more than 3 weeks and the company had the audacity to say things like this happen all the time and didnt even apologize for it. In summary, please stay away from this company and take your business somewhere they treat you with respect and not belittle you.
This company was the original installer when we built our home so I relied on them for annual service.At one point, they sold me a Discount Deal if I would commit to a second bi-annual service to which I agreed.Sadly, Im human and more than six months went by when I remembered we had not been called to set up the second appointment. When I called, I was told that I waited too long and that the offer no longer was valid, even though they had my money.My reasoning is that I dont work on AC systems for a living and I should not have to call and remind them of their commitment, but I guess I wont make this mistake again.

Called them July 14th and appointment was made for July 15th, 11:00 AM-2:00 PM. Rico came about 12:25 PM which was timely for me. He was very professional, knowledgeable, informative and used safety measures for covic by wearing mask. He listened to me when I asked him about the problems I had been having with my A/C and he was very thorough and polite and helpful. Showed me the problems and parts that was needed. As a construction professional, strongly recommending, do not use. The staff think this is a 9-5 industry. In Texas, in the summertime. Out of touch with reality. There is a reason why their ratings are so low. Maybe there is a common denominator?

Call today and inform them that my second AC unit not running, schedule a maintenance check for next week, mean after 7 days when I told them it quite long the representative told me you have two floor so the second unit still running why you are complaining!!!???? That is totally rude and unprofessionalFollowing up, tech came and check, there one part damage and he mentioned it usually common for this part to get damage. I said ok go replace it he said no spare I have to wait another week between the part arrive and scheduling, this is the second week without AC
The Technicians are great and very helpful. But when you call in you get this rude receptionist. They didnt give us a time they would come out to replace a part all they said was they would be there on Thursday. They do not open until 8 am so we set our alarms for 8 am just in case. When we woke up we had 12 missed calls and 6 voicemails. Each one more rude than the last. Simply put we will no longer be using Arthur Hagar because of your receptionist.
Rico came out to my home to fix my air conditioner as it was not getting cold on one side of my home. He was very professional. He fixed my problem, and now my air is getting colder than ever!
The worst customer service Ive experienced and last time I will ever call them. Had them out about a month ago when the AC units werent working, as their name is on the side of our AC units since they installed them on our brand new home. The service tech spent his entire time blaming the Nest system and said the AC units were just fine, but had us up and working when he left. Fast forward to today, a month later, when the AC units stop blowing cold air in 100 degree temps, and I call to get a service tech out. I thought I was lucky to have the head service guy answer the phone, except he spent his entire time on the call rudely talking over me and as if I hadnt heard from one of his technicians already, providing me a lecture of why they hate the Nest products and how it was a mistake for us to use them, and he could get us in for a service call 5 days later. I realize summer in hot Texas is a busy time, especially for AC repair, but 5 days, really??? And in the meantime in the heat advisory and 100+ temps, Im just going to sit here with my baby and cook? No thanks, I think Ill work with a company who is respectful and willing to support our tech-savvy choices (which we have never had any problems with) - who, by the way, will actually be here before noon.
Do dont use this company. Installers do sloppy work. System not sealed correctly.Manuals not left with system .Trash left around condenser. Tape covering all the model #s.Office not a help either.
Dale has been our service technician a few times and is always knowledgeable and professional. I think the service is a little expensive for the area, but it is who our warrenty is through and we have been happy with our service.

The dispatcher that answers the phone was very rude both times I talked to her. The first time they sent a service guy who replaced a blown fuse and did not track down the reason it blew. The fuse went out again right before the recent cold snap and they could not return for several days. Instead of being left without heat we called another company they were friendly and the service guy found a short that he corrected. I will never use these people again.
We used Arthur Hager, through our builder, to purchase and install a new HVAC system for our new home (four Trane units in our case). We were surprised to find out that, after two years from the installation date, they, Arthur Hager, refused to service our units. We were not informed of this by Hager or our builder. My advice to anyone building a new home is to purchase your new HVAC system from a dealer that not only sells the systems but services them as well - without conditions. Our home is only 6 years old. We have had to replace the entire unit that Hagar installed. The compressor went out first. Then, the A-coil rusted out. Of course all after the 5 year warranty ran out. If I could give them no stars I would,. Stay away from these people.

You would be better off going to lowes and get an employee there to fix ur ac then these guys.
