Rankin Heating and Air

We are experiencing an extreme cold front in Texas. I turned on the heat for the first time this year only to realize the heating system wasnt working. Nathan from Rankin heating set an appointment for today and much to my surprise arrived early. I was very appreciative because it was around 55 degrees in my home. He went right to work, explained what he was checking, found the problem fixed it and corrected something else unrelated( from a summer AC repair). He will always get my return business. Its hard to find trustworthy repair people. Thanks Nathan you are the best!!!!

Nathan is THE BEST!!! We have been working with him for years! He is extremely honest and hard working! He wont sell you something you dont need! He will try everything in his power to avoid you having to buy something extra! Hes absolutely amazing!!! You want him, not some huge company that will send in a salesman to try to get you to buy a new unit for $10,000!

My husband and I were impressed with the service that Jordan from Rankin heating and air conditioning performed for us on our air conditioning system today. He was honest and above board, very courteous, knowledgeable, and best of all a Marine! Since my husband is Army, they really hit it off. Jordan was honest about the condition of our air conditioning system, and showed us how to put in the hard to install filter for our unit. I would recommend this company highly.

Nathan came out with one days notice and fixed my mini split, then went out of his way to make sure it was up and running today before the upcoming cold front. Very personable and explained what he was doing in a way so that I wasnt confused. I would highly recommend him for your heating and cooling needs.

My system wasn’t cooling so I called Rankin heating and air conditioning. My system is old and had a restriction that the technician showed me with his sophisticated digital tools. They offered me repair options as well as full system replacement options. I figured this thing was about due to be replaced so I did. Called around and got some bids and these guys have astonishingly low prices. The owner and his technician came out and personally oversaw the installation of the equipment. Wow 😮 Both and were on time and communicated regularly both leading up to the job and afterwards. Highly recommend if you want genuine, informative service, and not pushy salespeople. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for this company. I have been without AC for over a week now. It has been absolutely miserable, and my poor animals have been miserable along side me. Last week I was given a quote by a different company for 1800 that I just could not afford, and it felt like I was being taken advantage of. Thank goodness I did some shopping around, and heard about Rankin through a friend. The owner himself came out, quickly diagnosed the problem, had it fixed in just a few hours, and for a fraction of the cost I was quoted by the other company. My house is cool again, and I couldn’t be happier! I don’t know what I would have done without them. The owner was also incredibly kind, and made me feel like he genuinely cared, which is not something you see as often in a business anymore. I will continue to use them for any issues I have in the future. Thank you guys, thank you so much!

Ryan was great. He came out and fixed the issue with my AC in about 15 minutes. He confirmed my unit was still under warranty and didnt try to upsell me on things I didnt need. Best $69 Ive ever spent. :)

SCAM SCAM SCAM- On September 26, 2024, at 5 pm, a service technician named Jordan came to my home to inspect what I had reported as ductwork issues. I had filed a claim with my home warranty company and had scheduled the inspection with them. When Jordan arrived, he immediately claimed that my AC unit wasnt cooling properly for three reasons without even inspecting it. Despite my suspicions, I allowed him to proceed. He asked to go into the attic, and I followed him while recording our interaction. To my surprise, he never opened my unit or examined any coils or ducts. We then checked the outside unit, and although the pipes were cold, they were not as cold as he claimed they should be. He then told me that I had an evaporator coil leak, which didnt seem right to me because if that were the case, the house would be hot and the pipes would be frozen over. Inside, he mentioned that my unit was fairly new (2018) and should have a warranty, but he quickly changed his story, saying that the warranty wasnt transferable if I had bought the house after the unit was installed. When I questioned him about this, he then said I was right and said the warranty would take over 500 so he lowered the price from $1800 to $1300 and tried to pressure me into scheduling the repair for the next day. I insisted on waiting for two weeks, and his attitude changed. After he left, I contacted my warranty company and learned that the repair would be fully covered. I then called another company for a second opinion, and they confirmed that there was no leak and that a simple recharge might be all that was needed.On September 30th, I called to cancel my appointment and filed a complaint. The woman who answered the call informed me that I was the fifth person to do so. She also mentioned that the quote for the work was $2700, with $1300 allocated for the Evap Coil, and didnt even include the cost of freon. I strongly believe that this company is running a scam and targeting women. Jordan was even asking me about my work, interacted with my son, and showed me pictures of his ex-wife and adopted daughter in the Philippines in an attempt to gain my trust. But I already knew is game

Nathan was professional, personable and efficient. He and his team communicated with me well on when to expect him, overall communication and service expectations were exceeded.

These guys were amazing. Wonderful customer service and they helped me when no one else would. Having your AC go out in the middle of summer is a nightmare in itself, but then finding someone who can come out and get it working in a timely manner without trying to screw you over is a different headache entirely. These guys were my saving grace. They got it done and even set me up to have it serviced twice a year without any extra hassle. 10/10 recommend!

Very knowledgeable about the entire system and process, inside and out. Had a brand new system installed for my house which was built in the 40’s-50’s. It was a much needed upgrade and Nathan did an amazing job. A few hours of work from a very patient and polite young man and now this old house will freeze you out in the middle of summer. Only company I’ll be using from here on out.

Highly recommend! Jordan came out and was committed to solving our problem (that 3 other techs had not been able to solve). He stayed until it was done and taught us a lot in the process.

Rakin Heating installed a unit less than a year ago. We are having problems with the unit . We have called them 5 times for someone to service the unit. There is supposed to be a 10 year warranty. However, we cant get anyone to come out and service the unit. It was a mistake to allow them to install the unit.
