I’ve been a resident of El Paso for 15 plus years, and for every home I’ve lived in I had the pleasure of using Gonzalez heating and cooling. They provided a range of services whether it was simple maintenance or a complete system upgrade, I’ve never had a problem with their service. They always go above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with their services. I would recommend using them for any job big or small, I love supporting local businesses, Gonzalez heating and cooling is as local as it gets. 🎉

Would NOT go anywhere else for heating and cooling !! They treat you well and do their work efficiently, no more cold winters and hot summers.

Company installed 2 new units on my house. Process went pretty smooth. Good units at a good price. Installation went ok. Never came back to repair drywall that had to be cut. 2 years later had a unit that wasnt cooling. Called to make appointment and was told it would be three weeks before they could come. I felt this was a long time but wanted to have company who installed service the until. The day came and no one showed up. I waited weeks and took time off from work to be there. When called about it they saw the appointment but couldnt answer why the technician never showed. I waited 3 weeks! Called another company that came in a few days said that Gonzalez didnt solder a joint right. Cost me a thousand to have the coolant refilled. Never using Gonzalez again.

If I could give them zero stars I would. My mother and father-in-law who are both elderly. Had an HVAC system installed about 14 months ago in their home. They were advised that it came with a 10 year full warranty. After about a year, the AC system was only blowing out hot air so they contacted the company for them to come out and fix it under warranty. When they called, they were advised that they no longer worked on residential HVAC systems. That they would have to find another company to have the system looked at and fixed, with no assistance from this company. No reimbursement offered, even though the system was purchased with a full warranty, they would have to pay out-of-pocket on their own. If a company no longer provides a service but yet offered/provided a full warranty they responsible for any installs during that period. I have checked the website right before posting this review and its still lists that they provide installation of HVAC systems in residential homes. Company would not recommend this to anybody cause you will be swindled out of money and when an issue comes up, they wipe their hands of it.

This place is extremely shady. They are great to get their new system installed, but disappear after that. I called in late June to have a routine maintenance performed on it. I agreed to a date over 3 WEEKS LATER. Because their mornings are filled with new installs, their only appointment time is 3:30.Their phone voicemail says they’re open until 4, which is a total lie. Try calling after 3:30, which I have done many times, and you are sent to voicemail.This is the second time they have no showed and didn’t call to say they were late or to reschedule.Do not even think about using these clowns. You will be sorry!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company is on it when coming to install new units and take your money and then just like many other comments have mentioned, they GHOST you. My downstairs unit has had problems since install, the condensation pump has been changed a total of 3x, now I need a 4th change. I made numerous appointments last summer for the pump to be fixed and when I kept getting no-showed I gave up because it was already getting cold out. This summer I’ve made over 3 appointments and have been no-showed every time. I have taken days off of work to wait around all day for someone to show up on appointment days and they never do. I’ve texted, emailed, called, and used their website to get someone to my home- NOTHING! Without the condensation pump, the entire unit shuts down. Both my units are leaking and have rust and build up all inside of them, it’s ridiculous. Do not use them unless you want to be baking in your own home, have water damage and broken units!

Christopher helped us though a very stressful process. After having an AC installed by someone else, and having to remove it (which Christopher’s team did), the guys installed a new one. It works great. He’s been extremely responsive and communicative.Well done!

I had called several heating and cooling services, and when Gonzales heating and cooling came, I knew then that they were the one the representative Christian Lazcano was very helpful, explained everything and answered all my questions when the crew arrived to install my heater and AC they were very professional and quick. Their work is second to none and the warranty was awesome. The unit itself the AC unit all summer. My bill was less than half to half of what my friends were paying for their AC bill so the AC that I was recommended was awesome. I would highly recommend Gonzales heating and cooling on a sidenote the AC that was installed was a two stage AC unit.

My son had his AC unit not functioning properly a few months ago. The air handler unit is up in the attic. The outside compressor would kick on, but it was not communicating with the inside unit. “Christian” came out to check and and just barely poked his head up through the attic trap door, heard some clicking noises, and then declared that the air handler had to be replaced at a cost of $5000, or they could do the entire system to include the outside unit for $8000. He did not even bother to check the unit itself. I told my son that seemed excessive and he should call another company. He did so, and that technician went up into the attic to physically check the unit. A new blower motor and a couple of relays later, everything was fixed for 800 bucks.I used this company for routine spring maintenance about 3 years ago on my 2 units. The lazy tech did not bother to clean out the condensate pumps. He said it was not needed, just poured a bit of bleach down the tube into the reservoirs.

I agree with the comment below about the company being shady. They are awesome when they are getting your money but when theres an issue with the unit they LIE and become casper. My unit messed up 7/14/23 and we sent pictures. Rachel said that she would send someone Saturday to fix it (was under warranty) just needed to pay labor under 200 i said ok. They came Saturday said that it wasnt only the conductor but the compressor went out and that they would have to order it because no one had it in town. Rachel said she would send portable units Monday due to high temp. The 2 units that they bought were the ones that have vent hose that goes to the windows that should have a vent to close the hose so cool air stays in and hot air out. I tried calling Rachael to advise her and she said that she was in a meeting and couldnt talk (those were her excuses either in a meetings or driving SERIOUSLY 21ST CENTURY BLUETOOTH) texted her that the portable units werent working and she had the guy trying to cover the hose with carboard and duct tape. SERIOUSLY. She said thry didnt have anything else. I asked her if the part will be here Friday and she said yes and it would be close $1000.00 for labor. She advised that the guys would be at my house between 9-10 on 7/20. I texted her a couple and times and no response then called her. I was ghosted on Friday and Saturday. I called the office numerous times. David/Chris stated that nothing was scheduled for service at my house. I asked to speak with management and they said no one was there and that the owners were out of town. I was heated as much as it was outside. I kept calling Rachel and the office no response from anyone. The guy that came to service my house last Saturday called me around 3 he said he was going to the house and see what he could do. He said he went to the part store and they were going to call him back. I texted him after 4 he said he probably wouldnt get an answer till Saturday. Blew up Rachels phone Saturday no answer or text till 1030am and guess what her excuse is SHES OUT OF TOWN no signal. The vendor states they wont have the part for 3-4 weeks due to backorder. I have family from out of town, my daughter works at home, and a 2 year old grandson with asthma and my house is over 90. I am going to have to book an airbnb to be comfortable in this heat. I wouldnt recommend this company for any service whatsoever.Im considering posting their text/lies.

Holy Cow!!! I want to thank everyone at Gonzalez Heating and Cooling for making my A/C conversion such a great experience. All throughout the process everyone was very courteous, from the front desk to the electricians and installers. I would definitely recommend their service to anyone. Ask for Rachel Navarro, her jaw-dropping knowledge of their products will leave you at ease knowing that yourre dealing with professionals. Also, thank you Roberto and Lino for being so punctual and for working so diligently. Congratulations on such a great team!

Great service, they installed my new HVAC last year and it went out this year, no fault of their own. They came out within a few days of me calling despite being booked and quickly got my unit up and running. Cold A/C worths it’s weight in gold in Ep summers. Thanks Gonzalez!

I have called Gonzales Heating and Cooling 3 times this month to handle 3 separate ac installs and each time they were on time, professional and so nice. They even traveled to our house in Ruidoso to install. Will be recommending them to anyone I know for future work needed!

Service Technician Octavio was incredibly nice and professional. Our AC stopped working and we ended up having to wait for a part to be ordered before it could be fixed under warranty, our two year old son was not happy and we were miserable. Octavio brought us a small AC unit that we were able to put in his room until our central unit could be fixed. He went the extra mile and was super helpful. 10/10 recommend.

It was time. We made the switch to refrigerated air, and went ahead and got our furnace replaced with a new central heating unit. This system already feels amazing this summer. And I am looking forward to a cozy winter also. The team that installed our unit was prompt and did a great job. Awesome customer service and professionalism.

Jorge the sales rep was great! Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the technician. They had to come to my house a second time to install a vent cover. I was told they were going to be home around 4:30 PM, but they got here an hour later. My son let them in and started to look for the vent in the garage, but didnt find it. He stepped away for 2 minutes to tell me that techs were here and to ask for the vent, but the technician said that he found it. This means they (the technician(s) )were in my garage searching for the vent without supervision and without permission. The technician installed the vent in less than 30 min. The problem is that he didnt tell me that they were done, they just left!I was expecting a better services for the $9,100.00 I paid.

From the 1st meeting we knew this was going to be a no hassle, streamlined and very well done install. We are briefed all thru the process, with everything installed in a timely manner. Chris did a great job getting us and keeping us on board. Highly recommended.

Receptionist not very helpful nor friendly. The way they responded appeared they were being bothered by my call. (They installed HVAC 3yrs ago and initially insisted they did not install the unit as they had no record of same... after mentioning the name of the person who installed it, they acknowledged same)I subsequently asked if someone could come out to the home to check HVAC as it was not cooling. No one could come out at the time nor for the following 2 months!They were not accommodating nor pleasant at all. I subsequently called Airwest and they came out the same day, provided a diagnosis and replaced the part the next day!*No customer service

Gonzalez cooling is probably the most professional, courteous, company I have dealt with in years. Racheal, Gabriel, and Neftal were completely fantastic. There service was on time and professionally done. If your considering a refrigeration unit look into Gonzalez. You wont be disappointed. Keep up the great work.

Abandoned us in the hottest summer we have had. The company stopped responding to us & I had to contact the vendor directly to see what was up with the delays. I do not recommend unfortunately unless you’re willing to heat up in your 98 degree home.

Joshua Provided outstanding service. He was very Professional and Courteous and I was so Impressed with His Quality of Work!! Christopher was excellent. This is the second AC unit installation for our home. Their service is always good. Installers are on time, clean, and friendly.

The house is SO much more comfortable. And the system Gonzalez installed is much more efficient. We already notice lower energy bills as well. They do great work, and make sure you get the most out of your system.

For many years Gonzalez has installed and serviced all our HVAC systems in my rental properties. His work is outstanding, and at great prices. I can trust him to do the job right.

Called to get service on my ac and I was advised that they are not taking new customers. either they dont have enough people to do the job or they are just lazy in anyway dont call these people.

They just replaced my swamper with a Train AC/furnace system and did an OUTSTANDING JOB! They got the NECESSARY PERMITS WHICH many other HVAC companys said were not necessary (because they obviously wanted to take short cuts to save $). The installers were POLITE, PROFESSIONAL and did an outstanding job! Plus they were the MOST REASONABLE BIDDERS!! What more can you ask for! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! And everything passed City inspection!

Very quick response when central a/c stopped working. Fast, honest and friendly service! Called about 10:30 and has a technician at our home in less than an hour! Relieved as the temperatures were going to reach near 100F that afternoon. Answered all our questions. Will definitely call again for any of our heating and cooling needs. Highly recommend!

We got pricing from lots of companies, this company not only has excellent pricing, they were the most professional. I was expecting a much higher price because this company handled everything so professionally. They are on time, they explain all the details, even bring up details none of the other companies mentioned. They speak English and Spanish. They are fantastic.

Our heating and cooling systems for our rental homes are all installed and maintained by Gonzalez Mechanical. Very professional and punctual. They get the job done when they promise consistently.

We had a really bad airflow problem, low pressure, low flow. We were losing air. But they fixed the problem. Our place is much more comfortable with the new ductwork they installed. Their work is perfect!

With the new ducts, registers, and heating and cooling system Mike installed last winter, our house was so comfortable and cozy during the winter and refreshingly cool this summer. We love our system and the work Mike and his team did.

Technician Mr. Jose was thorough in his explanation of what was wrong. He went into detail of what happens to the heater furnace when these problems surface. He was polite and answered questions with a direct answer. Above all, he showed up ahead of schedule.
