The unit works awesome which is awesome . The install job was messy and took too long. Left me 2 days with no air in the room. Seemed like no one was on the same page. Kept getting told that they where told one thing and that the install turned out to be different then what they where prepared for. So they came unprepared the first day without any materials they needed for the job.

The service of monthly maintenance was quickly and very professionally. They also changed my air filters. The supervisor did give me a quote on cleaning the air ducts. The tech guy and the supervisor gentlemen did a good job in receiving my payment and bringing back my change. I would recommend the prevention services for three years.

Good service; however, we had to wait over a week for a back ordered part. It would have been good to hear from the office about the back ordered part, instead of my having to call the office to ask what the delay was. Other than that, the experience was good.

We had bought a new HVAC system from another company about 4 months ago in anticipation of the summer here in El Paso. We felt that we had received a great deal paying $6,200.00 for the new HVAC system. The end of May we decided to have 28 solar panels installed on our roof. Looking forward to a new HVAC system and solar we thought that we had made some great decisions for our home. Much to our disappointment we still had larger electric bills than most of our neighbors that didnt have solar, needless to say we were not happy.So, we called Expert HVAC to come out and look at our system and help us with what was going on with why we still had an electric bill after having had 28 solar panels installed on our roof. Eric the owner came out and did an inspection on our HVAC system and our insulation in the attic He found that we needed to add insulation and that the duct work needed to be replaced due to age because it was leaking air in to the attic. He also looked at the new HVAC system that we had installed a few months earlier and said that it wasnt installed correctly and it wasnt energy efficient. He suggested that we replace the unit. Shortcuts had been taken as there was not a permit pulled and that it only took 6 hours to install it.I was quoted a price for a new system and I only was given $3,000.00 for my current system. They came out and put a complete new energy efficient HVAC system, Amana System 5Ton 20 seer in our home. Additionally, they insulated the attic and the garage with 12 of new insulation and replaced all the ducts. In the utility closet they added a newly constructed OBD vent. This all was done for a reasonable price.They took the time to came out to explain how the system works and how it is going to save us money on our electric bill.The installers were very efficient and professional. They cleaned up as they were working.If your planning on having a new system installed I would highly recommend Expert to come out and look at your home. They will look at everything and that it is working properly.Dont trust people that just sell you anything and take shortcuts just to make a buck. Make sure who ever you use pulls permits so it can be inspected and to make sure everything is up to code.Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I do highly recommend Expert HVAC to do the job. Michael was on time, super friendly…gave me pointers on how to maintain the refrigerated air unit throughout the year! Had my a/c up and running within the hour.Vacuumed out the vents, the outdoor until, drained the lines, changed the filter, etc.Would highly recommend!

I had my maintenance check today. I really feel safe having Expert Refrigeration checking my unit and making sure I don’t have any gas or carbon monoxide leaks, which I have had in the past. The technician was very professional and friendly.

What felt like the hottest day of the year at about 1pm in the afternoon my AC stopped working and I was desperate to get it fixed as soon as possible due to having a newborn that I needed to keep cool. Almost everywhere I called they were either unprofessional or done working for the day and couldn’t help me. Then I came across Expert HVAC, I was already defeated but to my surprise they had someone over as soon as possible. They thoroughly troubleshooted, found the issue and even cleaned my AC unit out and educated me on what I can do to prevent this from happening in the future. 10/10 would recommend this company. The technicians were also very understanding and even worked through the relentless heat in my home until they got the job DONE. I hated El Paso but it’s service like this that makes me reconsider staying here!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Michael, and I couldnt be more impressed with the service I received. I reached out to Expert HVAC through Facebook Messenger at 10 pm, and to my surprise, I received a response back by 11 pm the same night.Michael came out the very next day, a Saturday, at 9 am. The service was not only prompt but also incredibly affordable. Michael quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue with my HVAC system. His professionalism, efficiency, and friendly demeanor made the entire experience stress-free.I highly recommend Michael for any HVAC needs. His dedication to providing excellent service at any hour of the day is truly commendable!

Zero Stars! From the moment I called, I got a terrible vibe. The guy on the phone was shockingly unprofessional and rude—maybe he was having a bad day, but thats no excuse. I brushed it off, thinking he might be busy, and scheduled an appointment for an A/C replacement quote. He gave me a window of 9am-12pm. Guess what? They never showed up. I get that its the middle of summer and theyre probably swamped, but a simple courtesy call wouldve been nice.The real kicker? I wasnt just looking to replace the A/C in my personal property; this was also a trial run for my investment properties. I own several apartments and am in the market to replace all the units too. Congratulations, guys—you just lost a massive sale.

I had hope that a company like this wouldve been more knowledgeable but it didnt seem that way. They never fixed my issue, I had told the technician about what I had been observing and that I saw some codes on my unit and everything but he kept saying everything was okay. My HVAC works fine for only the first couple of days after he came and did minimal stuff and then again it doesnt reach the temperature and it stops cooling. It just seemed not interested to look more in depth about the issue. Also, its hard to know if they would come after making the appointment through phone, because theres no courtesy to call or confirm the day of the appointment. They just have you waiting, Im not sure if they wouldve come if I wouldnt have called them.

Expert technician reviewed HVAC unit and performed some connectivity test. Afterwards reviewed compressor unit and detected what he called a Drained sensor. Quick mention, time that Expert technicians have been over for units operating issues, have detected and corrected in a timely manner. GREAT JOB!

Just got my old A/C serviced on my new house, was nervous because some companies might try to find a way to sell a new unit. Not these guys! My tech Sergio did a super thorough inspection and was honest, said my unit was running great after all these years! I feel confident that when it’s time to replace or maintenance, I’ll definitely be choosing Expert HVAC from now on! Awesome customer service, professional and knowledgeable!

As far as getting a tech out same day for an estimate, that was great. The tech was quick efficient & knowledgeable with a reasonable fee attached.I anticipate the final work will be as quick, efficient, professionally done with a reasonable fee attached.

Company sent out a tech same day, late afternoon, the day I called. All the other companies I called said we can get to you in a day or two. 3 ton needed a new capacitor. Unfortunately they couldn’t get to the repair for 3 days. Our house upstairs got to 94 degrees and the entire family and dog had to sleep downstairs for 3 days. It was tough, but we managed. Sergio came back and did the repair 3 days later and did a great job. Sergio was very friendly and was greatly skilled. Will use this company again if it is ever necessary. 4 stars because we had to wait 3 days for the repair.

Tech was here for less than an hour. He fixed problem by replacing a bad compressor switch. He charged $368. No up front problem description or cost warning. The switch sells for under$30. Feel scammed. I am a disabled 75 yr. Senior on social security.

This was the first time that i have used this company and they were super accommodating. Even though they are based in El Paso, and the place i needed to be serviced was in Alamogordo, they were able to fit me in within the same week. I mainly spoke to Rebecca and let me tell you she is amazing.

I have a mixed review. We got our unit 4 months ago. Installation went well, they were on time and efficient. No problems there. However since then, our unit has gone out 2 times already. The first was wires that were not connected properly. This second time they said it was a fuse. This has been frustrating. Both times however they did make it to our home the same day and the problem was fixed quickly, an hour or less.If I am giving honest feedback back I feel the communication with the people who answer the calls could be improved upon. Both times I called when our unit was down I had to call them back myself as I had not heard from them after 4- 5 hours of the initial call. When I called them back they were able to give me an estimated time of arrival for service.I appreciate that they have always had someone come to service our unit the same day and get it working quickly as well.UPDATE: There was absolutely nothing wrong with our new unit. The unit was bigger than our old one and required more power. Because of that it kept tripping the fuse. Eric recommended the electrician he uses to change out our fuse box, who by the way was also very good). Eric was prompt to solve the problem and was dedicated to ensuring we were taken care of. I highly recommend him. I changed my rating to 5 star for the great service we received!

Gave a 4 hour window and were late. Bad communication. Over priced. Dispatcher Joey would not connect me with management. Disappointed a/c installed by them broke down in less than 5 years. Other than great folks (I just hope the other a/c doesnt break down. After posting this review I was contacted by Sandra who apologized and explained in her absence that dispatch and the office was handled by (the guys) . I was given a good explanation and large cut in price I am now very happy with price and service. I must also note that Expert did the original installation and did a very good job. I like the people here and would definitely recommend.

Called to have my unit checked out because it wasn’t turning on. The representative over the phone was very nice and courteous and scheduled me for the next appointment. The technician that arrived at my home was the complete opposite, we was rude and very cut throat. I didn’t end up fixing my unit with them because his service was horrible.

Technicians found the problem right away. They explained the issue very thoroughly and will probably have to order the part. They were very friendly and professional and assured me that they would communicate with me as soon as they could source the part.

Contacted them inspect my heater, their receptionist was extremely helpful and scheduled me the following day. They contacted me when they were on their way and also when they arrived. After they checked my unit they contacted me to go over the inspection. Their service was good. I have already recommended them to my neighbors.

Initially called and asked how much would it cost to fix a back up in the ac drain line. Was notified it would be 120-150 to have a tech evaluate and every hour after 110. So i scheduled the appointment thinking maybe about 200+ and it would be good to have an expert fix it, and possibly tell me if they notice any other issues or can recommend freon or how the coils look. 45 to 60 minutes later the drain line was cleared and a bill of 500+ was due on the spot just for clearing the drain and not sure what else was charged for

Called and explained my issue and they were able to send a technician out within the hour. Technician was friendly and knowledgeable and the price was reasonable. Would highly recommend!

I called Expert on an exceptionally hot Sunday morning because sometime during the night something stopped working on our refrigerated ac and we were getting nothing but hot air. The inside temperature quickly rose to 82 degrees. Eric Alvarez responded quickly and had his on call maintenance personnel out at our home by early afternoon. Mike checked out the system from the inside, found everything to b in working conditions and went up to check the unit. In a matter of less than 20 minutes the part was replaced and the house was cooling on again. I highly recommend Expert Refrigeration for all your heating and cooling needs. Quick, reliable, honest company at your service, even on the weekends.

Expert HVAC has been the best in all aspects of their customer service. We are always given efficient maintenance, great communication, explained to in detail the issues or options for our unit. Today we were at the point of discussing a new unit and were given various options for financing and/or paying cash. We are completely happy with the service over the years and look forward to our new unit!

Update! Once again I reached out to and Expert HVAC and Refrigeration and they came through. I needed some smart thermostats replaced and they came by in a timely manner and replaced them. I had already tried to go with a random handy men and got no showed twice, the third one was going to charge me an astronomical fee. I’m so busy I didn’t think to call the Experts and finally remember the awesome guys at Expert. It took 1 phone call and they set up a time and date to come out and fix it. They kept their word with a fair price. I wish my busy body remembered them earlier. Thank you Expert and HVAC for saving the day!Expert HVAC & Refrigeration are very professional. They were patient with me as we looked at the best place to put the condenser for the split unit I purchased. Installed in my 3 car garage placed perfectly enough to heat up my garage garage at 5am as of Jan 12th, 2023. Highly recommend!

I had this company install two new split-systems last year upstairs and downstairs in my home. Eric explained the advantages of various Seer level options, and rooftop vs. ground level installation. I found this very helpful, pricing was very fair, the install crew was quick, professional and tidy. I’ve since set up with their periodic scheduled maintenance and have been happy with that as well.

All staff is professional, courteous, attentive, and helpful. They installed a wall heater at my mothers house a few years ago and most recently did a full conversion from swamp coolers to refrigerated air. Both times, they fully explained the process, listened to questions and concerns, and helped us out with different options. We are grateful to all them for helping us. Other companies either didnt return my phone calls or took over a month to get back to us. All staff (this includes front office) is highly knowledgeable.

My HVAC system went out over the weekend and given the high praise sent on these reviews, I called Expert HVAC on Monday morning as they opened to have them take a look. I was told at that time that I would need to pay a $110 inspection fee and that if I used their services after diagnostics, that fee would be waived. The techs arrived promptly and within minutes let me know that my capacitor was dead and would be $511 to replace. Not knowing much about HVAC systems, I said okay, and they left to grab the parts.A quick google search of HVAC capacitors shows that these items are no more than $50, so when they returned I asked for a breakdown of what I am paying $500 for, especially since my inspection fee was supposed to be waived. The tech showed me a tier system that displayed a minimum cost of $511, with all of the other tiers showing much higher costs, and told me that he was just charging me the lowest tier since this was a simple repair. He also told me that he could not provide a breakdown of parts, labor, diagnostics, etc. This bronze tier includes basic performance enhancement system renovation, electrical termination service, performance and safety testing, and a six month warranty. I was told that this is the minimum amount to pay regardless of the services provided. The diagnostics took about 10 minutes, and the capacitor replacement took around 5 minutes.After the techs left, I called the company again to confirm that each and every service will be charged $511 minimum, and they said that this was the case. So, long story short, if youre calling this company, just know that even the smallest repairs that take 15 minutes to fix will cost you $511. While the service was efficient, professional, and quick, I cant say it was worth the amount I paid. It seems unreasonable to get charged what I assume is approximately $400 in labor costs for a 15 minute job. Will definitely use another company that is more transparent and reasonable in price for small fixes.

They’re an absolutely wonderful company to use if your ac unit dies. The HVAC specialist was able to come out the same day and quickly diagnosed the problem. Also, the rates are extremely reasonable. Overall, I’m very pleased with their performance and will be using them again for any future HVAC concerns.

I had Expert come over to evaluate an older house I moved into with heating and cooling issues. The inspection was an eye opener and I was able to see what the previous seller did not do when the house was sold. Subsequently my existing unit was fixed and ducts replaced, I had a minisplit added to cover all the square feet of the house that were lacking. The install was quick and Im happy with the service provided.

Had my first preventative maintenance appointment and it went very well. Justin and his partner checked the entire system, and cleaned what needed to be cleaned in order to have the system running smoothly. I opted for a plan that Expert offers where they send a technician to conduct preventative maintenance twice a year, once before summer and another before winter. I highly recommend it! I have never had any issues with service when I use Expert!

I cant say enough good things about this company. Eric and his amazing crew deliver value and quality from day one. I wish i had them do my replacement i did on my new-to-me home back in 2016 but having them handle maintenance on my two units has been great. They are punctual, professional, responsive, and educational about what they are doing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had called Expert HVAC and Refrigeration, for maintenance on an old unit that could not be repaired. We knew we were looking at replacing our old unit and after speaking with Mr. Eric Alvarez, getting the quote, and walking us through every process that would be done, we decided to have them do the job. We set up the day and time and Jesus and Jerry were here promptly on the day of installation. They were very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. We are very pleased with Expert Refrigeration and HVAC and would highly recommend them. The company is great from the top, to the office staff, and technicians!

Professional and showed up on time. This is the second unit that I had them installed. The first unit last almost 20 years and had a new unit installed 3-4 years ago. When the second unit was installed, all copper pipes were left in place which I understand. The outside copper pipes had three holes and water was leaking out by unit. Water was just standing there which could create a problem with mosquitoes and foundation. I understand the condescension coming out of the pipes. This is the first time water started leaking from the copper pipes. There were three holes in the pipe that my plumber found. Note: my first unit was installed in late 1990s and never had standing water. I didn’t appreciate being talked to like I didn’t understand what the issue was. I have common sense to see that there was an issue. Issue was resolved by cutting the copper pipe where the holes were located. FYI: there should never be standing water especially if the owner has never experienced or seen standing water from the condensation. I have a hose on the copper pipe so that it drains down the driveway.

Good service and knowledgeable. I replaced my 2 units and they were fast to attend. Unfortunately, 1 units was having an issue from the manufacturer. Nevertheless, they succeeded to repair and solve the problem as soon as they got the replacement part.

Very professional! They inspected my AC unit and gave me a reasonable quote for a new system. My system is a 2009 and not the right size for square footage of my house. Eric came in an explained all the work being done and followed up the next day with the proposal in writing. The team that came out to perform the installation was professional and careful when working in our home. The install team was led by Ventura, who detailed all the work being done as they progressed through the project. The team worked until late on a Saturday so that our system was at least running and we weren’t exposed to the high temperatures. They followed up on Monday and took care of all the details and gave us an overview of the system and instructions on how to best use it.UPDATE: Dreaded this moment but I had my first service call. Young lady on the service call desk was polite and courteous listening to my problem description. She scheduled a service call and sent me a text message with all the scheduling information. Louis the tech came out and performed diagnostics on my unit and immediately located the problem. He went outside and replaced a defective part and started the unit right up. Louis was professional and courteous in solving my problem in a timely manner. I am impressed that all of the employees that the company sends are so good. I am glad that I selected them as my provider.

We have had trouble with our air for the past several years and were told that our system had a leak. They told us that we would probably have to break our foundation to fix it. We reached out to Expert HVAC & Refrigeration and Louie came to our home the same day we called. He called the owner Eric, and he came in the next day to look at the problem. He then got his crew including Jesus and Jerry on it immediately and they tested our line and found no leak. Our unit’s condenser was out. They were super busy and after being told my svc. appt. would take close to 3 weeks, I was squeezed in 2 days later. I have to admit how shocked and pleased i was. Our A/C pooped out on us and was calling around to see who was available. Most services were not available until Monday and Expert had an availability for the evening. I had to admit that $135 an hour for evening or weekend sounded steep to me, but the repair woman was here within 30 minutes. Had the problem diagnosed within a short while and was to the point and friendly and had the part to change with her. She made the repairs and even recommended what we could do to not have the part break down again all within the hour and with time to spare and with fresh cool air blowing. I am extremely pleased with this service.

I am beyond happy with the service Adrian Chavez provided for us. Our AC unit broke down Sunday night and we had a new one installed a week later. The one week out for installation was extremely understandable being we are more than likely not the only ones needing replacement & repair . During the week we wait for the new unit installation Adrian Chavez was extremely transparent and honest with the issues we were experiencing and explained in clear detail what would best solution for us. They were kind enough to lend us a small window unit to keep my mothers room cool since she was my main concern for safety. Not only was she my concern, but Adrians as well. I am very happy with Expert HVACand Refrigeration. I called them on a Saturday and they had someone out in about 90 minutes. The person they sent out explained what happened and what will have to be replaced next spring. He even gave me a quote on that. We will be calling soon to set up our winter maintenence.

Called company at 8:30pm, received return call less than 3 minutes later. Was called before 8am with service window from 9am to 1pm. Tyler arrived about 10:30am and was finished with repairs before 1:30pm. I am giving a 4 because I was only told $90 plus any parts. I was not advised an additional $45 if more than an hour. Thus, I was not expecting having to pay an additional amount. Better communication should have been provided. Lord, now I have to call back because it stopped working after only like 3 days. Hopefully, its not the motor because the pump was replaced. Its a very old, old unit which is understandable. Its my parents house. I have been thinking of going to refrigerated; but, cannot afford the cost right now.

My old furnace gave out on a Thursday evening. After a very cold night at, I contacted Expert HVAC & Refrigeration early Friday morning, and by 1:30 in the afternoon, I had a new furnace installed. The folks at Expert HVAC & Refrigeration were professional, timely and efficient. Im very satisfied with the service, and will be glad to use them in the future for any other HVAC needs I may have.

Our heater stopped working mid December and we had another company come to our house 2 different times to try and fix it with no success. I called Expert Hvac for their help and 2 hours later they where at my house and where able to fix the problem within minutes! Highly recommend Eric and his team to everyone, absolutely blown away by their professionalism!

We first became acquainted with Expert HVAC & Refrigeration approximately 15 years ago when our furnace needed to be replaced. We were impressed with their honesty, expertise, candor, and professionalism. We have been fortunate enough to be able to use Expert HVAC & Refrigeration for required maintenance needs for our furnace and air conditioner. Fast forward to the present: About two weeks ago, we began experiencing air conditioning problems on a Friday afternoon. We notified Expert HVAC & Refrigeration the next morning, and Sandra dispatched Jose to our home that afternoon. Jose politely and conscientiously serviced our air conditioning unit, so that we would be comfortable through the weekend. As he was leaving, he promised to return early Monday morning. On Monday, Jose returned as promised and thoroughly diagnosed the problem. He informed us that the parts needed to be replaced most likely would have to be ordered. As luck would have it, the parts were available. One has to imagine what great relief we experienced when we received word from Eric that Ventura and Angel would be installing our new unit within a few short days. Loved their services. Had them do my whole house and put refrigerated air in and it made me love living in my house. Eric Alvarez was very helpful in giving me direction on which system would be best in my house. They even got me city rebates that lower our bills. Actually cheaper the my old water swamper.
