Now it’s November 29 and still waiting(It’s July 7, 2024) & still waiting)I’m going to have to give them a one star. On April 2024 I called Sears appliance repair using Sears protecting home warranty. I requested repair service for my washing machine .When the tech arrived he was polite. he found the issue immediately with the washer. he disassembled the washer ordered some parts. The parts arrived. They did not fit. so he ordered the part two more times they did not fit now they are saying the parts where not delivered now they’re just giving me the runaround and they have given me three different fake case numbers and have not showed up on the appointment made leaving me with a disassembled washer and all those parts he ordered Plus, he billed me for his labor and never emailed me my receipt or a list of parts he has ordered .i’ve tried calling a number of times they just gave me the runaround and it’s 6/25/24 I’m still waiting I’m very frustrated. I’m going to have to file a complaint with Better Business Bureau & TDLR
Sears Appliance repair doesn’t even rate a One Star, but that’s as low as the ratings allow me to go. 1st off, my family has shopped at Sears and used their appliance repair service for over two decades. We all know Sears has gone out of business after decades of losing money. I believe in being loyal to a business to the bitter end and that’s where I’m at today, the bitter end with patronizing Sears.I contacted their appliance division and was rerouted to a Text Bot (AI) to make an appointment for a broke down double oven. The Text Bot made me an appointment for the following day. The following day no service technician came, and I called again. The Text Bot couldn’t comprehend the conversation, so I hung up and called back requesting to speak to a person. The system sent me to an “audible voice bot” (AI) who wasn’t equipped to handle my questions, and I again asked to speak to a HUMAN BEING. This time a was routed to a Human, but a foreign speaking one. I kept having to correct the Human with my information as she was repeating all the information back to me incorrectly. After all my information was verified, my name, my address, my phone number and my email address I was rerouted again to a Human that handled appointments. The very long story short was she couldn’t find any appointment for me and offered many excuses. Another appointment was made for that day in the afternoon for a technician to come somewhere between 1 to 5. %pm came and went and no technician arrived. Needless to say, I do NOT recommend Sears for any appliance repair. I’m sorry to say that they are inept. Now I have to research another appliance repair company that employs Humans. I no doubt realize that even this “review” will be answered by an AI Text Bot informing me that they are sorry and they can do better and they’ll leave me a customer service phone number to make my experience better. The truth is there’s nothing they can do to make it right. There’s no Humans to do any repairs. Nothing. As of this review I haven’t even had them call me. I don’t think the Humans they do employ even know that they missed my appointment.
On April 30th, 2024, I scheduled an appointment with a repair company to fix my appliance. I had to take time off from work to be at home, but the technician never showed up. I was left completely in the dark with no communication from the company.I then tried to contact the company multiple times, but had to go through an automated system and wait on hold for extended periods. When I finally spoke to a person, they were rude and unhelpful, claiming that the technician had reported that I was not at home.After reviewing my security camera, I discovered that the technician had indeed come to my home, but had taken a picture of my security gate and left without even ringing the bell. I rescheduled for the following day, but the technician once again failed to show up or even contact me.Based on my experience, I strongly advise against using this company for repairs or warranty services. The lack of communication and poor customer service are unacceptable. I urge others to avoid this company and seek out a more reliable repair service.
Technician has been here before helping me with my appliances. This young man is very pleasant, respectful and professional. He always leaves a very positive impression and takes pride in his work. He always offers tips and very good advice which I follow. Excellent employee!
I had a hard time finding someone to look at my washer because I live in base and when I called Sears I told her my Samsung displayed the EC code meaning there was a blockage somewhere that prevented the water to drain. I said the same thing to the guy when he came over. At no point did he bother to look or open the back to see where it was clogged. Instead he spent his time looking under the washer. Then he said the problem was the motor and that the repair would cost around $400 . He said that was the reason it wasn’t working and I told him it DOES work it just doesn’t drain the water. He continued to say it was the motor. So I said I was not going to get it repair and he charged me the fee for coming over. Now that my husband is back from his deployment he opened the washer and found a sock stuck which is why it wasn’t draining. And our washer works completely fine. So no I do not recommend this place, it feels like I was scammed out of money because he didn’t even bother to see why it wasn’t draining. Didn’t bother to open the back or see where the clog was at nothing. If I could do zero stars I would.
Trash awful stay away tech came and told us we needed new rods for unbalanced issue with samsung washer. Advised it would be 450.00 . We agreed he came back and told us it would be 900.00 dollars for repairs . He said he made a mistake with the estimate we could buy a new one for that . Sears is only trying to sell there warranty to you . Stay the hell away from this trash service.
The technicians have been very professional and completed the repair quickly, cleaned up after themselves and explained everything to me. Overall, I have been very pleased with the Sears Home Warranty and its technicians.
I had an appt the 24th of this month. I got a call saying they ordered parts and they’d made an appt the 26th from 0800am to 1200pm. So we decided to stay in town after the holiday to make sure we were here. At 2pm, I called multiple times (with no response or any update whatsoever), so I used a third party to get in contact with SOMEONE. They said the technician was on his way, I was the next stop ( it was 2:30pm by then), and I should be getting a call from that technician within the hour. It is now 2:43pm and just got a message saying “due to parts” my appt is rescheduled to 4 days from now. WE LOST AN ENTIRE DAY because of their misscheduling and miscommunications. I’m going higher to submit a formal complaint and am saving all my failed attempts at calls and texts to the person who called to schedule me the second time. Don’t waste your time.
I scheduled and appointment for 1-5pm the 8th of February, I spent the entire day at home in the front yard, the tech never showed, although he took a picture that looks as if it never got out of his pocket and said he was here at 1:46pm, after multiple calls to customer service and promises of a call from the tech by 4:30pm and then again at 7pm nothing. I was lied to all day and if I could give the zero stars I would, the worst customer service I have ever dealt with, I will pay more for serve to never deal with Sears again, no wonder they had toFile bankruptcy in 2018.Update: they rescheduled my appointment for the 10th of February 8-12, the tech called me at 8:37 said he was on his way and it would be $129 for the evaluation. I agreed and waited for his arrival, at 12:10 I text him because he hadn’t arrived yet, at 1:18 he text back and said the parts in where not in yet, and I had a $612.54 bill. A bill already and they haven’t even diagnosed the problem, $612.54 and nobody has even shown up at my house? To top it off, I lost a whole day of work and I believe the tech knew he wasn’t coming out at 8:37 because he didn’t even have a part. The Sears had the nerve to call and want to reschedule for the next day. Use this company at your own risk, there is zero integrity within the organization and you will waste your time and money.
The biggest challenge with Sears is we waited 3 weeks for this to be fixed. They ordered the part the first time without coming and it was the wrong size and color. Then we waited 10 more days for the. Right size gasket and then 6 days for them to come install. Very poor service.
Hugo, was very polite and did an excellent job fixing my dryer! He was quick and he was also prepared I did not have to wait for parts for my dryer to be fixed! Very professional!

I received several messages from the day before stating they would be here at 8:00 am then at 8:15 a message stating between 9:42 - 10:47 then a message arriving at 10:17 then arriving after 5:00. At the end he arrived approximately around 11:00 am. Very uncertain and confusing.
If I could give a -0 I would. Ive been having soooo many issues with the Kenmore washer I bought just a few months after I bought it. I bought the protection plan and techs have been coming out and fixing it, ordering parts, etc; however, if its not one thing its another. Elijah was the last tech that came and put the parts but unfortunately he wrote on his notes that my washer was disqualified for further service due to customer neglect (which is totally false!!). Today I had a scheduled repair, he showed up and after two minutes outside he left without even talking to me or looking at the washer. I called him and he rejected my call. Later I received an email stating that I no longer qualify for service because of customer neglect. I am so disappointed with all Ive experienced!😔
It was easy to get a hold of Sears. They sent someone out the very day I called. The repair man was efficient, quick, and friendly! I am so happy with the service I received!
Previous Technician left sensor disconnected leading water to flood rooms. The second tech fixed it. Still leaking. Tech came. Nothing can be done
Well he the person that came to fix my dryer looked professional and acted professional did a great job I would recommend him for sure . But after he was through, did not like his threat, I have coverage for my appliances ,as you all know there not cheap especially for a handicap in ssi,no excuses here. Well after he was through, he said if I dont do certain things to keep my dryer going he will charge me next time he comes ,he said because if you dont clean exhaust exiting of air ,something like that .Iam chargen you ! OK my question, sorry to sound Macflyhere but first why the threat and if I have full coverage for my appliances, why have them,and pay so much for coverage . Not crying just my point of view blessings.

Great service! Great Technician named Elijah. He order the parts and within and a few days they arrived. It took less than 15 minutes to install them and it works perfectly. Elijah was very courteous, very knowledgeable and kept us informed of the repair process. Should any appliance need I will definitely call them again.
Explained to them about having children. And still not putting my refrigerator at top priority to ship my parts faster for faster service. What a shame I paid alot of money for warrenty and they took their sweet time. I was 11days of not having a fridge 😒

Another technician came, said compressor was bad all along. Today November 4, 2024, technician was to have shown up....A NO SHOW.....NO Alert or notices.....ONE MONTH LATER.....We Still dont have a refrigerator!!!!....Looking for legal assistance to help us with this matter AND A NEW REFRIGERATOR.EL PASO, TEXAS

Part was not delivered, so he did come to do the service. He was was not very helpful on the phone when I asked him to please check to what address the part was send too. He responded I did not order it someone else did so I couldnt tell you. I had to call the insurance to see what was happening and they informed me that the part was never send. I send a text message to let him know the part was not going to be in until the 19th of July I have not received an answer back. His name is Hugo. Very disappointed we have been with out a fridge for three weeks.
I submitted a warranty repair to happen on the 20th of June. A technician came out and found what was wrong and had to order a couple of parts, I was fine with that, we scheduled a day for him to come back to finish the job and no one showed up and no one contacted me about delays or part status. I waited a day and tried calling which I had to navigate maybe the hardest automated gatekeeper I’ve ever encountered and when I finally got someone they were rude and unhelpful saying the inly thing to do was reschedule for someone to come out. I later learned parts were ordered and delivered but not to my home and not to Sears directly but to the first technician who ordered the parts. When the second technician came he had to go to the first technicians home and get the parts, was almost done only to learn one part was wrong. He ordered hopefully the right one but I’ve had zero updates, I call and get the horrendous automated gatekeeper and all I can get is parts were ordered. Someone was supposed to complete this on the 10th of July and I’ve heard nothing new and I can’t deal with the automated system again. I tried going to Sears at the mall only to learn the repair department isn’t even there and they outsource to third parties. A manager at the store claimed to be emailing someone to help resolve the matter but still no one has contacted me. I’m not unreasonable, I understand sometimes parts may take longer and mistake happen when ordering, what I don’t get is the massive lack of communication or even the ability to get updates, I also don’t appreciate being lied to when told someone will contact me and I get nothing. My phone is by me almost 24/7 and I’m not hard to get ahold of.i just want my freezer fixed, I don’t think that’s asking too much. This is beyond unprofessional and bad business. I will never again buy an appliance or probably anything from Sears ever again if this is how they’re going to treat their customers.
No technician arrived. I waited from 8 to 5, and when I checked the website at 5, it said a technician had arrived. Now, one was here. I called customer service, but they couldn’t resolve the issue and will have to send someone else. Ive been trying to fix this issue for the past two months. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had with this company.

I paid for this extended warranty as I purchased my fridge, I paid for the fridge and the paperwork is under my husbands name. I dont know why they did the paperwork like that. The repair man came to my house and said that the annual cleaning service was not covered and I said fine, I will call and ask why not because that was part of the plan. He then asks to use my restroom and I dont feel comfortable but I let him anyways . Comes back and tells me oh its covered, then asks for a brush to clean the fridge. Will no be extending warranty and beware I purchased extended 3 year warranty for my washer and dryer and now they are saying I did not!! I have to call my bank and make a dispute since they want to steal.
Sears used to be a great company! Not so much anymore, which is sad. Sears charges for the warranty program, then the estimate and parts and repairs. The dryer part needed is not made anymore; went to Lowes, got a dryer and a 5 year plan than covers parts, labor, etc. No extra fees.
I submitted a repair request through my home warranty and they sent sears home services. The technician called and told me they would be there in 30 min. I took time off from work and met him at the house. He pulled out the dishwasher and took a look and he said it needed a new overflow sensor. He called the home warranty to see if it was covered and it was. He told me he would have to order it and will schedule to come back once the part was in. I then see the work request was closed as completed with the home warranty. So I called them to let them know that the job was not done so they scheduled me for Saturday the 11th of May. I’m here waiting and my wife decides to call to get an estimated time and they tell her that we are scheduled for the 16th. But I have an email from earlier today the 11th saying my appointment was for today. Horrible customer service. Liars. I wish my home warranty would have more on-call contractors/technicians and get rid of the incompetent ones like sears home services. Lies lies lies.
My GE Monogram gas range needed repair. I called a company that turned out to be Sears. The tech came to troubleshoot. After a few minutes, he called someone on the phone and explained what was happening. After a few more minutes, the tech told me I needed three parts and I had to pay upfront over $900 to repair my range. After several months, Sears called and informed me that they could not get one of the parts and my range could not be repaired. I was reimbursed all but the initial troubleshooting fee of close to $130.I called Gorman Distributing next. Their tech checked my range and told me that a part was needed. The part and labor were half of what Sears had charged me. Once the part arrived, the tech fixed my range.If you need repairs on your appliances, I would not recommend Sears. Consider other companies first.

He was unable to fix the dryer, due to no part again. Ive been waiting for the part for 1 mos and 21 days. Seemed to be a nice young man.
Technician was knowledgeable and courteous. All around great customer service. Only issue I have is that they should send a Technician within the first 48 hours to see what the problem might be and get parts ordered instead of having them show up a week later to just to tell u that they have to order parts and in a week they will come back and repair your appliance.

I was told over the phone it was $99 for the diagnostic plus tax but then was notified on arrival its $119.99 plus tax so thats a big change. This price could be used for the service. Excellent I thought. Second, the tech who came was Elijah. He was timely, respectful, he was a straight shooter and found the problem right away. He was excellent. And amazing. He found the problem right away but the price to fix was $502. Wow. Thats a price of a new stove. So we declined and got a new stove. Thats insane pricing. Nothing wrong with them just pricing is through the roof.
Recently a SEARS technician came to repair our Kenmore Elite refrigerator. After several attempts and parts, the technician said he was ABSOLUTELY sure the refrigerator was working. He checked everything thoroughly. He finally stated...its working 100%... Jesus (Jesse) was not able to fix our microwave due to its particular model, but he did not waste a moment in communicating to us exactly what the situation was and what he was going to do to help us. Before leaving our home, he called our insurance company to alert them of the situation. He let us know we should expect a follow up call from our insurance co who would reassign our work order to another company. He was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. We appreciate how clearly he communicated with us and with the insurance company. He represents your company well.
The first appointment I made no one ever showed up after waiting all day. Never received a text/call letting me know he wasn’t going to show up either. The following day I called and rescheduled my own appointment for the following day. The 2nd scheduled appointment the technician showed up as on the web tracker and he was very professional and addressed my concerns.
Really bad service because I sat here from 1:00 to 5:00 (scheduled appointment time) and no one showed up or called.
The service tech was very knowledgeable and understood best course of action. Unfortunately I didnt go with the repair because the part and labor would cost the same as a new basic dish washing machine. He did give me some pointers and tips to prolong the life of my machine until I am ready to purchase new appliances for my home. The service fee was reasonable and I highly recommend using Sears.
Washer was leaking. tech came to the house and assessed the situation, ordered parts and scheduled a follow up. Parts came directly to my home and a new tech came to my home and installed the parts. Tech and his partner ran tests and said all was good. Everyone was professional. Schedules were done on dates given. My only problem is that...My washer is still leaking
I was charged $269.07 but my microwave oven was not repaired. I provided Sears with the model and serial numbers of my appliance for the purpose of ensuring they would have the correct replacement parts in stock. The technician arrived and checked the unit and determined they do not carry the replacement part, nor do they carry a replacement microwave oven for my microwave/oven combination. This was a total and complete waste of money and I am very dissatisfied with Sears.
Jesus and Alonzo tried very hard to get our refrigerator working. It has been a VERY long journey since December 26, 2023. This was our 6th attempt to get this working. We have been asked to wait 24 hours to see if the ice maker starts making ice. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Jesus and Alonzo were very polite.
Sear should have sent the original technician who made the diagnosis and ordered the part.. Alonso only came to install it, his treatment was kind and cordial.. but the original diagnosis was wrong, the part that the original technician ordered was only the fan that distributes the cold, but the problem is that the refrigerator does not generate the cold, so his diagnosis was wrong.
A tech by the name of Roger completed the repair on my refrigerator. He was very friendly and professional.
Our service man ,Mike, was very friendly and professional and took care of us. He answered all our questions and explained the problem we had.
The repair man couldnt fix the dishwasher and didnt send me a receipt. Wouldnt give me the part numbers that the machine needed. Gave me a ridiculous price and wanted me to buy a service contract before he would go further. Then charged me 128.00.

Hugo G is very patient and calm plus he fixed the problem when we got the parts. He had a hard time removing the heating element in the freezer since the manufacturer had installed it backwards. Hugo was able to remove it and fix the fridge.
The repair man was very professional.I dont understand how service was sent 3 times and instead of parts being needed, I only needed a reboot. This makes no sense to me what so ever. 2 parts sent and neither correct for this refrigerator, just needed a reboot. SEARS, Im trying very hard to be a loyal customer but this isnt working for me.

Its so frustrating just trying to get an appointment, you get the agent, and they want to fix the problem over the phone. Im not a tech, just need a simple appointment I paid my service contract, I should not have to get interroganted so maybe I can fix the unit. Sears, change your method of customer service, please.

Igniter was changed on my stove griddle still doesn’t hold temperature. Flame goes on every 15 seconds and turns off.I believe the thermostat is bad also. I was told it was working but doesn’t seem it is.

The Sears worker just took some time to show us what to do to get our dishwasher to work again - basically to push the locked button for at least 3 minutes and that unlocks it. But he charged us around $174 for doing that. It seems awfully expensive to just show us how to lock and unlock a dishwasher. I dont recall him doing much else except showing us how to work the lock button even though he stayed in our house for around 20 minutes and we payed online while he was here.

This company was sent by Samsung to repair our washer that was still under manufacturer warranty. We had two visits. One to diagnose the issue and one to repair the washer once Samsung had mailed us the parts. Both employees were very professional and arrived on time or early. Even though there was a 4 hour appointment time window we did not have to wait. It was also very easy to check available appointment times and reschedule as necessary through the confirmation texts the company sends. We would definitely use again if we had any other repair issues.

Rogelio (Roger) was very thorough and professional in the maintenance check of my washer and dryer.
Sears sent out repair service from Cal Valley Appliance - Israel did a tremendous job, he was fast, knew what he was doing, very professional and very knowledgeable about his job. Oretis works in the office helped us out a lot. They have a very good team. Will use them again!
It’s a scam ,you pay 128.00 fee so the technician goes and tells you that to fix a washer you have to pay more than the cost of the unit.then they keep the 128.00 for doing nothing.
Called a friend. Asked who to get. We cant live without our washers. My neighbor has used A & E before. During the repair I asked the repairman to please be honest and tell me, if it is cheaper to buy new. I watched as a knowledgable guy made quick work of it. Thank You, Thank You.
Well the technician was professional and friendly. The work he did at first was too quick though so he had to come back and do additional work. But another day, 2 days later.😠. It seems fixed now, so Im satisfied with the service so far.

The tech kept us waiting, we received the parts and did not complete the repair for 3 days. Customer service was no help. No manager aviable to provide support. Have use Sears years for years. We had never received such a bad experience not using Sears again. SEARS CONTRACTS out to 3rd party companies. Not a satisfied customerThe tech also didnt connect the exhaust dryer hose.
The technicians that came arrived exactly at 8 am. They were professional, polite, and explained everything to me in simple terms.

We were very satisfied with the technician you sent! He answered our questions patiently and as best as he could, did everything possible to fix the problem we were having with our washer.So far our washer is finally working the way we expected it to work. Unfortunately, we didnt buy our washer from Sears.But Sears offered an extended warranty that was able to help us with the repairs.Next time, well buy from Sears and save us the trouble!
Would give minus stars if I could. Called for repair on stovetop and pm on ovens. Tech did not have the stove top repair on his job order but, checked it out, told me it was a power generator and he could not order it, another tech would have to come out. Two days later the next tech comes out, he is beyond rude and condecending. Told me the stove was smarter than me and there was nothing wrong. When I insisted he made a phone call and then crawled under the stove and admitted there was something wrong but he needed an assistant to remove the top. Not happy!!! Two days later he comes back with help and is rude to my wife. He then says he will have to order the part and it will take a week to ten days and call for another appointment. So, three weeks and I dont have a stove for Christmas dinner. My wife likes Sears products but your service is and has been beyond horrible!!!Ken May

After several attempts at getting the correct ice tray for my refrigerator after a technician broke it, we finally got one that fit. The new technician was very friendly and wouldnt give up on it! I was the last customer on the mecanics list. He did seem to be knowledgeable about how refrigerations should work.I have now had any provlems with my unit or with my furnace so far. The only thing that I asked your agent was why he wasnt going outside to check the actual unit. His answer was that since my unit was putiing out temperatures of 56* throughout the house they dont need to do this. I would have thought that this was a routine function. In case of a loose screw or to check the unit for possible mechanical problems that could avoid a repair later on.I did not see a badge on his person and he did not identify himself.
Tech new exactly was was the problem and was able to get our dryer ip and running right there right now.
Had to wait a month for a repairman to come out and fix my refrigerator. Then he ordered parts and had to come back at a later time. Then came back for the appointment and worked on the refrigerator and its still not working. So, I had to make another appointment and got one for a month later! This is the most ridiculous thing in the world. I wont be purchasing from Sears again.
07/22/17 - UPDATESears came back and ended up replacing the compressor in the refrigerator. Its now working good and making ice and cooling well. So, I guess the second time around worked......The service call was to fix the ice maker, since it wasnt working. Well, its still not working after the service call. Have to bring Sears out again, since the didnt fix the issue the first time out......

Waited for 3 months to get my washing machine fixed. I have had this machine for 2 years and in the last 4 months have required 3 repairs. The customer service is less than helpful. Probably the last time I purchase anything from Sears.

I was disappointed that the tech couldnt get the dryer to work. He said that it was an electrical problem. Actually when my husband and I move into this house & put new the new Kenmore washer & dryer Sears tech did all of the work on the dryer 6 years ago. I paid all that money for nothing & he sold me a home warranty. Still havent received of the paperwork (warranty). So, we sit here with no dryer working.
The technician was very helpful and informative, but over $200 just for him to place a belt around the dryer drum is ridiculous and a rip off! If I didnt neee my dryer fixed ASAP, I would have spent more time finding the proper belt, and replaced the item myself.

First of all I had forgotten to buy warranty and the lady let me buy it, the repairman you sent was so knowledgeable of my type of washer he tested it and finally decided he needed to order parts, I didnt have to make another appt cause he did it for me. In my 36 years of marriage this is the second Kenmore washer I had bought . thank you Sears!!
