Great repair service and staff! Ive had tons of work done on my Lexus rx350 and they have always gotten me in and out in a jiffy. Really nice guys and reasonable pricing, highly recommend! The previous mechanic I had was a sham and I am very happy to have found this place! My car is basically brand new at this point with 228k miles and runs like new!

$1500.00 down the drain for a half*** job. They supposedly put a new computer,pulley & new ignition switch with new key without a chip.They took my old switch & placed the key inside it.Then wired the wires in the photo to the old key with the chip in it under the dashboard.In order to bypass my security system without telling me.I wouldnt recommend this company!No Im not paying a tow to bring my car in!I been replacing parts for nothing!Explain your case to the BBB & Consumer Affairs correspondence. Along with whomever else I decide to contact about why my car was never fixed properly.Dont come on here taking about the yr you fixed my car!I have more then one vehicle!The mileage that I brought the car in was 62,000 & I havent driven the car over 1,000 miles if that.Its a 1994 & Im the 2nd owner,which means its practically brand new.Scaming people out their money is yalls motto bc when I was told the estimate.A comment was made in reference to me being able to afford it,which was way out of line & unprofessional!I have my receipt I just havent posted a photo copy of it yet ,which is why Im being offered to bring my car back in!Also AO is my fist & last name initials so of course there no record for you to go on!Update 12/17/2024:I ended getting my car towed back to this place 2 weeks ago & come to find out they had to fire the drug addict that worked on my car. According to Nathan he messed up other customer cars as well.As of yesterday 12/16/2024 I was told to just take my car after I brought a fuel pressure regulator in that I wanted replaced just bc it makes sense & would pay out of pocket on top of another fuel pump later in the week .I also asked for proof the old ecm once replaced & I was told that its my fuel pump due to low pressure When I just replaced it last month for $350.00 without the pressure regulator at another shop while trying to figure out why my car wont turn over without the starting spray .Duncanville automotive wanted $690.00 to replace the fuel pump & labor however is dropping the labor price to $308.00.Still dosent change the facts about the ecm never being replaced in the first place & just by passed without my knowledge or consent.I was asked by Nathan if I was a maechnic due me asking questions about my car repairs.No sir Im not however I have enough common sense to know how to do my research & screen shot the proof.

Duncanville Automotive &Muffler provided very good service. This was my first time bringing my ‘new’ used car to them for maintenance and they took care of me. The wait was a little long but I totally understood because a lot of people like their service so we don’t mind a little longer wait.

UPDATE: 9/2023 - Finally retrieved my vehicle after 1 year & 2 months of this repair facility having it. A dash panel they removed for access was not replaced, wires left exposed & over $2,000 in body damage sustained. While they corrected the issue it was taken in for, the fallout from the repair cannot be understated. Decide for yourself if you want to use this facility.Unfortunately, I, as a customer, am not priority with this facility. Theyve had my car for months with no estimate of when it will be ready. I will have to pick it up & go elsewhere. Communication from them is non-existent. They came highly recommended but my experience has been anything but pleasing. Beware.

Took my van for the state inspection and oil change and the customer service was excellent and the service on my truck was excellent as well. I will be back for further service whenever I need it. I will recommend this company.

Within 15 minutes of dropping my SUV off, they had found the issue with the nosie. A incomplete repair from a different repair shop. They repair the issue. The rates are fair, the technician are professional and they are timely. I understand why this location is recommended by Costco. I recommend them to anyone who needs automotive repair.

Initially, when I called on the phone, a gentleman spoke very rudely to me. When I arrived to the actual repair shop, I said to him that he was not a good representation of the business. He was short and said that he did not live there. That was no excuse to me as I am female and had questions. Upon sitting in the waiting area, a tall lady came and told me of her experiences with the owner and his son who ran the business pretty much now. The son was not there when I arrived , but did come back later. She convinced me that perhaps the other man was having a bad day. In my opinion, that was still inexcusable, but as the time moved on, she really convinced me that the company overall, was a good one. While sitting there waiting for my car to be repaired, I observed the kindness that the owner son display to those who came in, and how he took the time to explain things. I felt much better. The service was awesome and the owner’s son when he came, explained things thing to me. It made me feel more comfortable. I will definitely return for any future cars repair needs that I have. Whatever repair is required, you can trust them. I was treated with the dignity one would expect to be given to a senior citizen. They didnt try to milk me for money. They didnt make up repair problems to pad their pockets. I was treated fairly to God be the glory!Initially, I heard a rattling and scraping type noise near the rear of my car, which I described to a mechanic as the brakes hitting the muffler. The first shop I went to charged me for a front brake job. The noise continued, so I returned, and they did an adjustment. I drove out of town, and the noise got worse. I returned to the first shop, and they said I needed rear brakes. After front and rear brake work, the noise continued. Finally, the first shop admitted the noise is from the muffler, and they dont do mufflers. My budget was spent the rattling continued even while idling, so I did a Google search, and I feel God led me to select Duncanville Automotive & Muffler for help.How much did it cost to finally stop the months long disturbing rattling, which turned out to be a cracked heat shield above the muffler? At Duncanville Automotive & Muffler, it took less than 15 minutes to alleviate the problem, and on cost, GOD SHOWED ME FAVOR.

The technician was good about answering questions about the repairs. He was honest about what could and could not be done. Also when we asked about a part not installed. He put the car back on the lift to be sure the part could or couldnt be installed. He was able to add the additional part at no additional charge. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Glad we went there.

I chose to have my wheels aligned here at the recommendation of Costco. I normally have my Lexus serviced at the dealership. I didn’t have an appointment so I called and was told theyI would work me in. The owner was so nice not just me but to others. The cost was so much less. The service was excellent, and the wait was minimal I really like doing business with local established owners. I’ll be going back for all my services on my car.You should give them a try!

Wrangler was overheating. They ran a diag and determined the radiator had a leak. Had a new radiator & thermostat installed, per recommendation. They were communicative throughout the process and made sure proper OEM parts were installed. Also fixed a bad battery terminal while they were completing the work. Great service and will return in the future, if/when needed.

They’ve knocked it out of the park every time I’ve been there. The first time, he inspected my catalytic converter and said I was getting a code because it just needed to be welded. Saved me a ton of money when he could’ve tried to scam me. I’ve been going back ever since and it’s been a great experience. Great, honest pricing. Happy to have found a shop I trust.

It’s hard to find a good mechanic, even harder to find one you can trust. We drive all the way from Waxahachie just for the peace of mind.

I really like how nice these guys were. Only one minor issue I had was when I got in my car they had not assembled a part that was around my gear shift BUT I easily popped it back in. I believe they would have fixed it had I mentioned it. Overall, this was a good experience. Very reasonable prices. They seem to be honest which is high on my priority list when dealing with mechanics as a woman. I will use them again.

Always treat me with with respect and care. Oil changes are quick .Don’t waste your time at these 15 minute oil places. They tore up my undercarriage. Duncanville automotive does not.

I had a great experience with Duncanville Automotive! They provided an Estimate and the final cost was very close. I felt comfortable leaving my vehicle in their hands unlike other repair shops or dealerships.

You cannot trust this man!!!He changed my rear brake pads and missed some parts. I came back with the noise from rear wheels, he said the noise comes from the front wheels🤦‍♀️ and he was “too busy” to fix that and told me to come back tomorrow and it’s nothing bad I can drive like that. By the way I drove 18 miles to be sent back!!! Then I went to another shop to find out the problem, they told me he didn’t put for me brake pads from dealer and there’s missing bolts!!!! See the picture….He didn’t even apologized, said like “it happens” and he is not supposed to tell me what brakes he put😏

As the prices of service at the dealership increases, I have sought small mom and pop shops. I chose this shop because they were responsive/answered the phone and took the time to answer my questions. The staff and service advisors are professional. After having my car serviced here, I will definitely be coming back!

When Duncanville Automotive says they do it all they mean it! I had multiple system inspected and my tires rotated. I also learned that most major repairs are the result of poor maintenance or manufacturing defects. If only there was a monthly subscription service that helped keep me out of trouble, hmmm...

Ive had one experience so far, and this shop was recommended to me by one of the employees who works at the parts store in my town. They were quick and friendly they got me right in. I had a custom patch job on my exhaust system. They were able to create some pretty incredible safe and sealed connective parts right there on the spot and did further diagnosing on a hard to find leak. The truck was ready to go and passed inspection. Safe and secure. Thanks! Good knowledge of car exhaust system.

I have taken my car there twice in two months and they cheated me. And of course what they over-charged me for was NOT done and the oil leaks, Still. I paid what they said they had done and quickly left. When I got back from my trip, I took it to a different shop and they found several missing small parts and a few small tools carelessly left in the engine compartment. I do not recommend them.

Excellent experience, through and through. Without an appointment, I was able to drop my truck off and have its stolen cat replaced in just a couple days. Not bad! Price was very reasonable, so I had them work on my A/C while it was there. Very clean facility, very busy shop, but they still know the value of customer service. I plan to return soon to get my front end rebuilt.

Went in before 3 pm to get a state inspection, left at 3:40 pm without the inspection even done because they decided to not tell me they were having issues with the inspection program…. they still had the audacity ti ask me if I wanted ti come the next day. Absolutely terrible

It was a very pleasant and informative experience. One of their mechanics drove my vehicle to try and understand my concerns and gave me their assessment and offered a quote that was very reasonable. My vehicle needed rotors and pads were included in the repair. I waited in their lounge until the repairs were completed and I am very pleased with the results! I definitely plan to return for additional services and also taking my wifes car soon. They were referred by a repeat customer and I will refer them as well. Theyre gonna have to expand their shop. 🤫

1st time visitor, had a very pleasant experience, replaced A/C compressor and component parts ($1850.00). Did not know in advance there was a 4% credit card usage fee, had to pay cash to avoid! That is the only reason I didn’t give a 5-star rating.

Took my bmw there to check what was wrong with it,after 2weeks I was told I would have to change 2 fuel injectors and the car would work perfectly. I gave the go ahead to fix the the injectors based on their assurance,only for them to fix the 2 injectors and the car still misfires and with the same issues. The guy wants to force me pay for a bringing my car to them with a problem that’s not fixed. They are a cheat and fraudsters. He’s denying he never assured me not knowing I have our whole conversations recorded.

I arrived on a Friday at 5:30pm... they close at 6pm. I needed a State Inspection and asked if they could do it, or if I needed to come back on Monday. They were happy to do it for me and did it quickly even though they were busy with customers picking up their cars. Ive used them for other repairs as well and they always do a great, honest job.

These are mechanics who stand behind their work. I have taken my car here twice in the last few months. One time after a wreck when my steering was giving me trouble and once to replace the radiator. Joe worked with what I had and didnt try to push me to pay for things I felt werent necessary to touch. He explains what the issues are and genuinely seems to care. Hes not trying to sell you. I trust his opinion. I trust his expertise. The mechanics there work fast and theyre very open with communication on what to expect. The first time we fixed my car Joe told us to go back if we had any of the same problems we had been having. Since the problem seemed to be coming back when we took the car in for the radiator, we brought it up and they fixed it without fuss. And without additional charge. I feel blessed to have found this shop and I refer anyone I know who needs a mechanic to Duncanville Automotive & Muffler.

My car was kept til the next day and I wasn’t notified. 8 days later, my check engine light is back on for the same issues as if they did nothing. It’s not even the fact of having my money back, I just want my car serviced properly.

I would have given them five stars except that wrong parts were ordered twice for the Honda Odyssey sliding doors. This added a couple days to the repair but it did not inconvenience me. Other than that, they were very professional and I’ll certainly use them again. The price was very reasonable.

I do not RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONE!First off I took my car about a problem that my car kept dying and charged me $635 and when I picked my car back up it was doing the same thing never fixed the problem and on topy a/c not working it was working just fine before I took it here . Then I take it back and they want to charge more for checking to see what the problem is . Thats not fair I literally spent $635 for nothing and now I have to go pay another shop that actually knows what there doing and have to pay for the a/c aswell that they messed up I do not RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONEAll there doing is scamming you !!!

Good work. But poor communication. My car was towed there. I waited thinking of would receive an invoice showing what may be the problem and receipt of the vehicle. Nothing. During the 9 days... my car was there I never got an update. I received 2 calls from them. 1 when part was arriving 1 to pick my car. But they fixed my car.

First I took my Camaro to them they’re totally professionals ,quoted me a price and repaired my car shocks,tune-up etc I was so pleased with the quality of the work..I brought my truck there without an appointment,window regulator ,,tune.up etc .They got it done same day!! Highly recommend.

I have a 2018 Honda Accord. I usually like to let a Honda dealership take care of my vehicles needs but I knew the service I needed was being majorly overpriced so I found this place! Simple repair. I needed my side mirror placed back onto my car. The manager was so nice and friendly! They were busy but still, only Took them about 45 mins! Did a GREAT job and it cost me over $60 LESS than freeman Honda quoted me. I will definitely be back! Thanks again!!

It is so nice to have an automotive repair shop that still has the atmosphere of a local, small town, customer focused business that offers great service! I have been a customer for about 3 years and I have never been disappointed. The owner, Joe Threadgill, is a great advisor, very accommodating, and he is professional. His rates are fair and he always explains in detail what needs to be done and why! Unfortunately, I always need things done “right now”, and somehow, Joe just smiles, and says, “We will work you in and get it done!” I love this place!A very nice change from the Big Dealer shops!

My experience with Duncanville Automotive and Muffler (DAAM) was the absolute worst experience ever! Dealing with Danny is like pulling teeth. Hes not a problem-solver; rather, he creates problems for me. My 2015 BMW was diagnosed by my local BMW dealership to need a replacement AUX fan, drive belt, and engine mounts. This diag was done only because I was complaining of a louder than usual noise coming from the fan (no other symptoms). The drive belt and engine mounts were just something else they noticed during their inspection. DAAM suggested replacing the fan and the belt, but said I dont need the mounts. Trusting them based on a long-time friends 20-year positive experience with JOE (not Danny), I decided to move forward. This is where things quickly went down hill. They replaced the belt but likely due to over torquing the bolt that secures the belt tensioner, they broke and want to charge me for replacement of it alleging that over time, it can break. BMW didnt recommend replacing the tensioner, so why should I have to pay for DAAMs breaking it? Upon replacing my fan, I took a trip just 3 days later to San Antonio. On the way back to DFW, my car started overheating and displaying various errors. My family and I had to spend nearly 3 hours in Austin, TX to allow the car to cool down. A 4-hour drive home from San Antonio turned into 9 hours as we had to continue pulling over to prevent the car from overheating (even without the AC running). I returned to DAAM the next day only to deal with Mr. Danny (who was very rude with me). After a few hours, he had no update for me. Finally, they test drove my car and couldnt duplicate the issue. He claims to have ordered a replacement fan that should be delivered to them by Tuesday, 7/11. To date, I havent heard from DAAM despite my cars persistence to overheat. Therefore, I took my car to a certified BMW repair shop only to find out that the fan that Duncanville Automotive and Muffler installed was causing the problem. Replaced the fan, and voila, no more overheating or errors. Danny is driving that business down hill. Im used to being told what my car needs, given an estimate of what it will cost, and upon my authorization, work commences. Not so with Danny. He replaces parts that I didnt know he did until after the fact, THEN wants me to pay for them despite NOT receiving pre-authorization from me to proceed with replacement. JOE needs to consider firing Danny because the reputation hes creating will be very different in a year from now. Danny is very unresponsive and impolite, doesnt follow up, nor know how to interact with customers who wish to remain informed about the details revolving around the types of parts being installed in their luxury vehicle. All after-market parts arent compatible with BMWs. I would NEVER return to DAAM especially because this Danny fellow works there. He is BAD news! Customers BEWARE! I wouldnt trust Danny to cook a burger for me at a restaurant because he just doesnt care about customer service whatsoever! JOE, YOU ARE NEEDED BACK AT DUNCANVILLE AUTOMOTIVE -- PLEASE DONT RETIRE! Both service advisors were professional and friendly. My vehicles situation was handled as I expected and I would recommend this shop to others.

We had a clogged engine problems, we used Blue Devil engine gasket sealer in our vehicle which completely clogged up our engine, radiator, and heater coil.The Automotive shop was able to go in and remove all the clog from the engine and rebuild are engine, change our heater coil and replace radiator with thermostat. I was truly concerned about my vehicle when I taken it to the shop because of the serious problems I had with my car. Duncanville Automotive was able to do a job well done, so for so good. My car is running great and better than ever. I really appreciate the work the guys did on my car. They treated me with the concerned and understanding I needed on my vehicle. I had taken my work truck to get some brake work performed and was told that they had replaced the battery terminals so they could get the codes for the brake job. Dropped it off around 9:30. Went back to pick up my truck around 5:30 after being told I would have to leave it for a lengthy period of time because a rat must have gnawed through the wires.I popped the hood open when I arrived to verify that the cable or cable terminals had been replaced and no battery cable or terminals had been changed and not even the brakes had been looked at but they were quick to hand me a bill at the counter expecting me to pay for nothing.Danny at the counter even came out to my truck and saw that the battery cables or terminals were never changed. He apologized alright but now I’m feeling scammed… The next shop I took it too, took off the back brake covers to find that the brake had eaten all the way through the caliper. One would think that if an inspection had been performed initially that it would have been caught and would have been fixed. Apparently fixing the problem is too much to ask for now days! Duncanville Automotive. NEVER AGAIN!

Had to take my Mercedes in and of course a front end job which is truly expensive through the dealership. Joe got me in took care of the issue for hundreds less. As usual another job well done. More work to do but this is place that have given me good results everytime.

I took my car in because my air conditioner was blowing warm. I ended up needing a new condenser. Luckily, the part was under warranty so I was able get it replaced without it costing me a leg an arm. However, I wouldnt have been too worried to pay out of pocket because their prices are as reasonable as it can get for an auto shop. They do great work and care about getting you back on the road. My air conditioning is back to normal and working great. I also had them replace my steering wheel pump a while back and it is also still functioning great. I would definitely recommend them for any car issues.

I called and took my car in on Monday morning. I spoke with Joe, he was very kind. My car was checked out and Joe called me to let me know what was going on before any work was done. The work was done, the price was inexpensive and the customer service was AWESOME!!!

Im very displeased with my most recent experience, I was quoted $144 for installation of an alternator on a 2014 Kia cadenza. The part was bad due to manufacturers default, but I was not told I would be charged twice for the same installation. Which was $298 once I arrived to pick up the car when it was completed and at that time. I was given the new charge & fee of $298 and $12 of that was for parts I that purchased myself. This is not the way to conduct business nor treat paying customers...

I took my car in because Auto Zone tested my alternator and said it was bad. The owner of this shop had a technician test several things in addition to my alternator and could not find any issues. He didn’t just take my word and replace the alternator or try to find other issues. My car has been running fine.

Brought in my Lincoln Navigator after a family trip and it was shaking horribly on rough pavement. Joe and Nathan got it diagnosed as a ball joint and transmission mount. Repairs were completed very timely at a fair price and the truck is riding great again!Thanks Guys!

If I could I would give them no stars,I was told to bring my truck to them and once I had it towed,my truck set for 3days before they even looked at it,another 9days to diagnose, and 3dys to repair.Once I got my truck back within a week I had the same problem when I called I left name and #like I was asked no one returned my call.ive called several more times and yet have they responded.

Catalytic Converter:1. Agreed to a cheap Converter &285.2. Agreed to High Quality $558.75 O2 sensor.3. Agreed to “Total Out the Door Price of $916.”4. Arrived and it was $993, I asked why, was told $916 was estimate (That’s a Lie because I Had Other Repair Shop Quotes and was Comparing).The O2 Sensor was on Back Order with Mitsubishi but “All of Sudden” it became available (Ok), the NO CALL Price Hike (No), the none adjustments on Price Hike (Bad Business). Now they have me questioning did I get a Mitsubishi or an After Market O2 Sensor.The only thing missing was Joe saying “Stick Em’ (Your Hands) Up!!” Is there a pattern of who this happens to with that Shop?
