From the start, I was fairly certain that Id have a really positive experience using Tullos to replace my HVAC. My old gas furnace and air handler were originals to our home from the 1980s. The ducts were a mess. The outside condenser had been replaced several times and was undersized for my home. Jon Tullos gave me a bid to tear out and replace everything with great SEER rated high quality devices, and which was almost half of the bid I got 2 years ago from a well known local HVAC contractor. Less than week later, I have a new central air system. Always on time, cleaned up everything, and just a great crew. This company knows what they are doing, and Im glad I trusted the reviews that made me call Tullos. I totally recommend Tullos for your HVAC needs.***Okay, its a month later, and I called Jon to put total radiant barrier and add a few more feet of blown insulation on top of my old pink rolls....Price for this including the first install from Tullos is still nowhere near the quote for just the central a/c+furnace+all new duct from another local well known name company. Id trust this Tullo company for anything involving insulation and cooling/heating to beat and exceed the quality work of other competitors. Im totally impressed and I know I spent my money well to enhance and improve my heating/cooling systems and what its going to cost me (since Abbott & his crooks are still being paid off by the electricity providers) in the coming months with the price of electricity in Texas going up unnecessarily. He uses quality products that are proven to work and has a crew of great people who are totally trustworthy and skilled. Jon and his team spent all day at my house putting in 2 beautiful Goodman AC units, a new furnace, and a larger duct going to our playroom. So organized, polite, respectful. We received 4 estimates, and no one could come close to Jon’s. In the included pictures, you will be able to see he raised the slabs the AC units sit on, and strapped the units down. My old units were installed in 1976 and were being held together by rust. Jon and his men installed three units in one day and did a great job. In addition, they swept the floors and left my place cleaner that when they started. Their prices were fantastic as was their work. Spring 2021:Great experience with John getting my ac/furnace replaced. I called for a quote and he arrived within an hour to check me out. Pricing was great and installation was seamless. I called John at J. Tullos Services to schedule an appointment for a quote on a new HVAC system. I read many reviews on different installers located in the SE part of Houston, but his reviews seemed written by genuinely appreciative people. He said that he was free and could meet me within 30 minutes or at my convenience. That worked well for me, and I met him at a second property we own, a small townhouse. John provided not only excellent customer service, he provided all the information I needed to make make a choice between two different units I was considering.I set up a date for installation, and yesterday John and his very efficient crew met me at the property. J. Tullos Service had installed a new AC system for us. The price is reasonable and the service is excellent. The company provides the update on getting parts as well as the schedule timed for installing along the way and we also get the update on coming scheduled time ahead of the installing date. They come right on the scheduled time and do all necessary works to get the job done. Our house is on stilt since it is a beach house and the AC indoor unit is bigger than the stairway space and the technicians have to remove the stair rail to carry the AC unit up. Can’t say enough good things about this company. Our first encounter with Tullos was five or six months ago. My 94-year-old mother was having a celebration of life and we were hosting a party for 40 to 50 people in our home. As luck would have it our A/C went out the day before, a Friday. I had an issue with my blower motor which supplies air flow for both the A/C and Heat. I discovered the furnace would need to be replaced because the blower is located in the furnace ( permanently fixed). I got estimates from several companies.......all of which were considerably higher. J Tullos Services estimate was very reasonable and the work was very professionally done. Mr. Jon showed up as soon as I called to get me an estimate. He stopped what he was doing and came right over. After asking many questions and recieving great explanations he gave me three different options to choose from. We let him know that we wanted him to do it and he moved up our install date to a monday instead of a tuesday so we could have it sooner. He said he would be there between 10 and 11 in the morning and was there around 945. He showed up on time, was very professional and relatable as were his workers. They finished off the whole job in about 2.5 to 3 hours including clean up. Great company, great product, and great service. We have another unit that we will be replacing soon and we will definitely be using this company again. As a veteran it always makes me feel better having another veteran doing work that I need done. Talked with the owner J Tellos on the phone regarding my gas furnace being out on Friday around lunch time. I talked to several other companies as well. Tellos was the only one that gave me the direct price immediately. I had to negotiate with others to get close to his original price. We had a problem arise that was causing our outside AC unit to generate significant noise inside the house, which made it nearly impossible to watch TV as the AC unit sits next to our living room wall.John came out without hesitation and isolated the problem.He immediately resolved the problem doing anything and everything he could to remove the noise. This included the rerouting of a cooper pipe and replacing the compressor. All of this was done under warranty. He didn’t make up any excuses and try to find a way to bill us for something, which is pretty rare with most contractors. He just did what needed to be done.
