BCI Plumbing, Heating and Air

Apparently BCI did not want to do our job - rather than simply telling us that, even though I asked twice, they ghosted us. I asked if they served our area - they said yes then charged a fee for the distance. They looked at the work needing to be done and had to go back and discuss with the master plumber - that cost $125. I had to call multiple times to get any response - they were working on it. After more calls on my part, I spoke to the “master” who needed to come out himself to look. We set a day and time - he no-showed and did not call back. So, we paid $125 for absolutely nothing. Left two more messages and no return call. Finally found a real plumber who came out for free, found an issue BCI never noticed and will do the entire job for a third of BCI. Stay away from them!!!

Great professionalism, diagnosis, and action to clear my kitchen sink drain.Gave me a quote and proceeded to fixing the issue.Jeff Anderson and assistant Grant were a pleasure to interact with.Thanks to them, BCI has now another residence in Denton that will count on the integrity, service, and value that can be counted on from this organization.Such a different experience from the last plumbing service I dealt with.

Shopped around for a complete HVAC replacement for my home and received 5 total quotes, including BCI. I did quite a bit of research before contacting the companies in order to ask educated questions. Jacob was very thorough in his quote, and answered any questions I had. BCI was the only company that was educated on the Denton Green Initiatives Rebate program. Every other company wasnt even aware they were on the list, or how to go about receiving the rebate. The price of the quote in addition to Jacob being so knowledgeable is the reason I went with BCI. The 3 year parts and labor warranty was also a factor.Unit was installed on 12/23, and the first issue was the installed crew installed the wrong breaker. BCI scheduled a visit for the next day and determined they had to order the correct breaker. The second issue was that the heat pump wasnt operating, the technician did a repair, however that repair didnt fully correct the issue. The third issue was that the installers had a loose electrical termination, which led to an arc and the wire whip had to be replaced. All the times I contacted BCI, they were able to send out a technician the same day or the next day, even on a Sunday. They have held up their end of the bargain on the warranty with no difficulty or questions asked.Dylan was able to complete the application for the rebate with Denton, and I received the check with no work needed from my end.Gave 4 stars due to the issues from the install that could have been avoided, however BCI has been great with making it right.

Recently, I had a leak problem in my house that my home warranty companys plumbers quoted me $5700 to fix. Their fix would have required digging a hole in my foundation and tunneling to a supposed pipe break. I decided to get a second opinion from BCI, and Jeff was sent out to my house. Jeff was fantastic. He went the extra mile that the warranty company plumbers did not want to go, and he was able to identify that I had a blockage as opposed to the under-foundation pipe break the other company diagnosed. The cost of fixing this was a tiny fraction of what the other company quoted. I was impressed with Jeffs expertise, his spirit of excellent customer service, and his kindness to me when I was in a bit of jam. The service I received was fantastic. You cannot go wrong with someone like Jeff.

NOAH BELIZE & JOSE ADAME are ROCK STARS!! My 83 year old mom has been without Heat since Wednesday, 11/27. It dipped into freezing, but she did not want to leave her house and opted to stay bundled up under the covers until BCI could come out, which was today 11/30. They were both very pleasant, honest, polite and respectful of our property. They went above and beyond and even drove from Denton to another warehouse to get a part so that we didnt have to wait until Monday. They spend numerous hours working in perfect synch to get us back into a warmer living space. We can now defrost. You have a great team with these 2 and they represent your company well!!! 5 stars!!

Our AC unit was causing a leak through the ceiling so we called BCI for help. Jay arrived to help with the repair and was very professional. He cleared out our drain pan and ensured the leak didnt continue. He even offered future check ups to keep our unit maintained. We got the recommendation to use them from our daughter...she and her husband used them for a checkup if their HVAC system.It was easy to schedule...people are very pleasant and dont try to sell you unnecessary things.The techs were on time...they were thorough and pleasant. We asked about an in house air filtration system and they left information and said theyd review other offers whenever we decided to go ahead. As they have been fair, we will definitely give them the chance to match other offers in the future.Finally, because they did a nice job and the experience was pleasant, we signed up for the Spring/Fall PM program.Try them for yourselves

We’ve been in local restaurant here in Denton that I’ve had for over 30 years, we’ve had so many people come to do work for us. To date, No one, has ever work is hard or been as professional as Adrian. He had so much attention to detail, double checked everything making sure it was done right and done well the first time. He did a wonderful job. We’ve seriously never met anyone as hard working and kind. Very very impressed. Hope he is as appreciated at BCI and we were with him. We will definitely be asking for him again and spreading the word.

I havent personally hired them for plumbing or AC but If I do need one Ill know whom to contact.I want to leave a review because I had someone absolutely kind and genuine help me! My car left me stranded in the middle of the street and one of the employees took time out of his busy day to help me. I am extremely thankful.

I have used BCI now a couple of times for various HVAC issues. Service wise someone has always been available relatively quickly, whether for an emergency outage or just for an inspection. Noah is the tech I’ve had come on multiple appointments and he has always been prepared, knowledgeable, and has fixed our issues each time. BCI’s “Cool Plan” package that they had starting last fall was a game changer as for having built in heating & cooling servicing appointments for the year and I would highly recommend.

We used these guys for the first time. They installed two new bathroom faucets and a new shower head. They did a good job. The price was around $650 - they were there around 2 hours. Plumbers are always pricey and these guys were very knowledgeable and did a good job. We will use them again.

So thankful we had Dustin come to our home to inspect our heating system. Due to his thoroughness he found some serious issues requiring a system replacement. He helped us choose the best option and scheduled the work. Jacob Morris came out to inspect our HVAC system that wasn’t cooling about a month ago and took a really detailed look at things. He spoke to us in great detail about the fact we had a refrigerant leak and what our options were. He didn’t try to upsell us or pressure us into anything and I trusted his judgement. Due to financial reasons, we had to put off repairing the leak for a month but today, Jacob came back with a coworker (sorry, I didn’t catch his name but he was cool too!).Jacob found the leak, fixed it up, moved a Freon filter out of the attic and put it outside so it was more accessible, cleaned everything up and we were good to go. Our home has now gone from the low 80’s to 74 and dropping.We’ve used BCI before for plumbing issues and had a great experience with them which is why we called them for assistance with our HVAC system and we couldn’t be happier.Jacob is a great guy and deserves a raise 🤣It was easy to get an appointment booked and the quote was fair considering the work needed. I’d happily pay a fair amount if I know the quality is there and that’s what happened for us today.Thanks Jacob and thank you BCI.

Jay and Aiden were very professional and courteous. Spent the day getting the AC working and didnt leave until they were sure we were happy with the job.

Zach is by far the best guy they have when it comes to fixing/ repairing/ and troublshooting boilers. He will get your equipment back up and running as soon as he can. Anytime I call I prefer Zach to come out and address the issue. He gives you information straight forward, and if parts are needed he gives accurate delivery and install dates. Many others have tried and might get you up and running for the time being but I guarantee you call back asking for Zach if you want a permanent long lasting fix.

I called BCI because my tankless water heater went out. They responded quickly and the technician, David, communicated clearly with me about the repair. I was not happy with the price he quoted me, which was $5K to replace and install a new unit. Needless to say I went to another vendor who charged me LESS THAN HALF of that. I will not call BCI again.

Upon return from out of town, I discovered our primary a/c unit had failed. It was well over 100 degrees and late in the afternoon on a Saturday. I called BCI expecting to get on a service call for the following week. I was surprised when I was told they could send someone during the weekend and in fact immediately after I hung up the call; I received a text confirming an arrival time for that evening! Although I received a couple of later texts delaying the arrival time by an hour each; I then received a call from the tech (Ty) that he was on his way. He arrived about 10 pm. He had obviously had a very busy day, but was very personable and professional. He worked diligently in the dark.and after some testing determined the source of the problem. At about 11:30 pm our air conditioner was returned to service and we had a peaceful cool night of sleep!This service experience from the initial telephone call, the resulting update texts right through the actual service call was outstanding. BCI has earned my future HVAC and plumbing business. Thanks.

Kevin was more than prompt for a Memorial Day call. Our AC was not working at all. He was able to isolate the problem and give a quote. Since it was a holiday I didn’t expect anyone available. His professionalism and politeness was evident from the get go.As for the repair same quality service. This pleasant experience was definitely refreshing and who doesn’t appreciate a happy expert! BCI is fortunate to have him onboard. Also Rhonda was great to work with at the office. We will definitely continue calling on BCI for all future situations related to AC work.

BCI Mechanical is an outstanding HVAC company. I use their twice per year contract for spring and fall system checks/tune ups. Dustin came out this morning for my heating check. He called and let me know he was on his way and showed up on time. His appearance and demeanor were very professional and he checked my systems quickly. He gave me a verbal after inspection report and reviewed all problems that he found (none). He is a pleasant and competent service rep who reflects highly on BCI. I strongly recommend Dustin and BCI Mechanical for all HVAC needs.

BCI came to evaluate our air conditioning system in May, 2023. Our unit was over 20 years old, and Kevin came out to evaluate what needed to be done. We decided to go with a new system. The team set up a temporary unit to keep us cool until the new system could be installed. A life saver! Chris, Margarito, and Pedro did the install. We love it! Kevin came out also to help us with programming the thermostat. We are so glad that we did this before the extreme heat set in. Thank you guys! It has been wonderful. I have used BCI Mechanical for years for my AC system maintenance. Dustin has always been very helpful. Recently my AC was not working up to par. Dustin diagnosed the problem and worked with me to help me understand what my options were. It was wonderful to have someone so willing to answer all my questions and spend the time it took. He pulled in Dylan when he knew we needed help with determining tonnage. Dylan was at my house within a very short time and assessed the situation perfectly. I decided I wanted to purchase a new AC and I was shown choices available and was able to pick what worked best for me. Very prompt and easy to work with! I’m totally satisfied with BCI.BCI installed a complete HVAC system in my house in May 2022.The work included replacing the air conditioner (in the side yard) and the furnace (in the attic).Right from the start, I was impressed with BCI personnel. Their proposal was competitive, and clearly identified the scope of work and the specific equipment to be installed. The sales rep answered all my questions thoroughly and thoughtfully.The installation was accomplished quickly and smoothly. BCI’s crew was hard working and knowledgeable. They knew what had to be done and they accomplished it quickly and accurately. And follow up issues were resolved immediately.I was concerned that a project like mine might turn into a big mess. But, to me, it was a big success.I sincerely recommend the people at BCI.

I have used BCI for my routine maintenance on our HVAC. The techs are friendly, however they don’t call to remind you of your bi-annual service. That’s on you to schedule. In addition, when my AC quit working on the weekend, they didn’t answer the phone. What good is a HVAC company if they are not available when you need them. I’ve also had unpleasant experiences with their office staff when they do answer the phone.

The service BCI had provided me over the years has been outstanding. Highly recommend them for any plumbing or hvac service work you may need.

I work over nights, so when I got home, they had just shown up and were blaring music at 7 am. I asked them if they wouldnt mind turning it off as I had just got home from a 14 hour shift and needed to sleep during the day. They agreed and turned it off, but after about 30 minutes, they turned it back on again. Mind you they are working right outside my room. They also did not give any courtesy notice when they turned off the water to replace the pipes. We had to find out mid shower. The last straw was our internet went down. After troubleshooting, I decided to check the cable. Come to find out that they cut our internet cable. For no reason. The piping and digging was done and the hole was refilled yesterday (3/29/23). We still had internet up until early this morning. What is the reason for cutting an internet cable?

Called BCI last week and could have scheduled earlier, but Wednesday worked best. Phillip called on Wednesday, ahead of arrival to let us know he was coming in about 40 min. Actually arrived a little before the scheduled window. Inspected the Rinnai tankless water heater and got his tools ready. Went right to work on a descale of the tank. Politely answered my questions as he went along even though I was up front asking about how to do it myself in the future. I even asked him why I should use BCI again and he said because we do a good job! He did! I was pleasantly surprised when he asked about the bathrooms and laundry and kitchen faucets. Six total. Put on booties and he went through them using a special tool to loosen and then check the aerators for buildup and then put them back in after the descale. Results of descale were evident in the bucket and rinse process. This was first descale of the tankless water heater in 3 years use for 2 people in house. Overall great service and decent value for about an 1.5 hour call. Yes, I can do this for less, if I dont crank the valves in the wrong direction. Yes, Id use BCI again.

Justin Tomlinson did an excellent job servicing and repairing our HVAC unit. We thought we would have to replace the thermostats and the damper but it turn out to be problems with the way the builder had configured the system. He saved us hundreds of dollars. He was professional and polite. He answered all our questions and completed the work quickly. I would definitely recommend BCI Mechanical to my friends and family.

There are numerous better options in the area that deliver the same quality of service, or better, for a MUCH lower price. The cost of snaking a sink with a hand auger was around 250. The cost of snaking a main line with a hand auger is 450. So you’ll be paying about 250 to 500 for an hour of work when other services will cost you about 150 - 200. Don’t believe the office people when you’re on the phone. If you ask if they have a flat hourly rate, they’ll respond like this: “Yes, we have flat rates.”. Notice the absence of the word “hourly”, because there’s the huge difference in costs. Seriously, call anyone else. I will say the plumbers were extremely nice and knowledgeable. The problem lies with the office, they are well aware of it and don’t seem to care in the least bit. We did call the office hoping they would clear up the pricing discrepancy, they didn’t even bother to apologize and then hung up on my wife when she informed them that we wouldn’t be using their service again. I just wouldn’t bother with this company. It’s really not worth it.

We have been a customer of BCI Mechanical since moving to Texas in 2006, and with two homes. We have used them for Spring/Fall maintenance on our HVAC and also plumbing.During this last Spring maintenance, we decided to replace our old HVAC system with a new, higher efficiency unit. Additionally, it was time to replace our two aging 50 gallon water heaters with a tankless unit. BCI Mechanical was our ‘go to’ company to do the work.The team from BCI (Dustin, Dylan, Jeremy & his crew) did the install of the HVAC one morning and the tankless water heater unit on another morning with virtually little disruption to our lives. They removed all old equipment and their was absolutely NO mess in the house! Kudos to the team!It’s been about a week since the both units were installed and we are definitely aware of the benefits of both new systems.....it is remarkable. It also gives me great comfort knowing I no longer have two 50 gallon water tanks sitting up in the attic!!We are thankful for BCI and will be customers for life!.

They fixed the issue with my water heater and were very quick to respond. My issue is with payment. They have a flat fee for everything so for example, if you need the coil replaced in your water heater the job has the potential to take them x amount of hours for the most intensive jobs. On the other hand it could also be a simple fix and take 1 labor hour plus parts. So what they do is charge you for x amount of labor hours which in my case was 4 hours but the issue took less than 1 hour to fix and the part cost 10 dollars. So in my case using this company lost me a couple hundred dollars. However if you have a really bad issue that will take many hours and parts to fix use this company because they will end up taking a loss working on your project because its subsidized by people like me. Otherwise stick with someone who can give you an itemized invoice.

The receptionist was unbelievably rude and passive-aggressive. My AC went out at night, so I asked for emergency service and was ignored. Dont put 24/7 emergency service on your website if you dont have the resources to back it up. When I called the next morning the receptionist gave me a lot of attitude complaining about how busy they were, and she said I would have stay home all day as she couldnt schedule a window of time for when they would come. I hired someone else.They called me twice the next day even angrier and tried to bully me into hiring them. I explained that I hired another contractor on the first call but they refused to listen. I was on the fence about leaving a negative review until the second call. During the second call a man who I presume is the manager, yelled at me and implied I was lying about my ill treatment. Other than Walmart I have never encountered a company with so little regard for their customers.

Do not recommend, will not recommend. Zero starswe had BCI come to repair a urinal at my work place. They charged us 850.00 for the repair. After I complained, they reduced the charge to 602.00.I will never use this company again, i could have replaced the unit for this price.buyer beware, get a quote up front for the repair being done.i do not recommend this company.

I called and they were prompt to schedule appointment. Pleasant employee, but two items on my list were not fixedI failed to walk around before the left. Bill over $1300. For things that are still broken. Dont understand why it was so expensive an disappointed that I am still having problem with sink slow drain and facut they were to replace. Will contact them today to see if they can compensate

Never used them, but one of their employees is my neighbor, the alarm going off on the company vehicle, all hours of the day has become a nuance and a disturbance. Been 2 weeks since my initial post and the only effort Ive seen in the company is them asking myself to identify myself. Zero effort in fixing the problem. Literally the worst company to be your neighbor. Check your vehicles.

We woke up one morning to a huge water leak flooding half our house. Our first call was to BCI and they were on the scene fixing the problem within half an hour. They were quick and professional, which really helped us to calm down. We will definitely call them for our future plumbing needs.

I will not recommend these people. The bill for the work was much more than quoted, the crew was messy and disrespectful and damaged the walls in my home while doing the work. The BCI manager just smirked when I asked for repairs. The crew didnt have all the tools they needed and ended up using mine. These people are horrible, they are overpriced, and rude. I use someone local, like Larry Sawyer plumbing now.

Had our main line back up on a Saturday and within a few hours of initially contacting BCI Mechanical they were at our house and had it unclogged in 15 minutes. They contacted us when they were running a few minutes behind at a previous job and arrived during the time they said they would. Also gave some pointers in case this happens to us again.

Ive had BCI Mechanical to do several things for me in the past few years, from changing out commodes to rerouting gas lines and fixing the gas line to my old gas grill and adding a snap-on connector for a portable gas grill. I recently had a small job that I just did not have the right skillset or tools for and called BCI.It could not have been better…I spoke to Billy ahead of time and texted a picture of what we were dealing with to ensure no surprises when he arrived.I recently saw a review (for another company )where the customer complained about “neighborhood rates”…Billy, a master Plumber, showed up in a well maintained $40,000 Express Cargo Van filled with another $20-25k of inventory and as well as a journeyman/helper and did the job in the 1 hour minimum for $95 plus parts …how can anyone with any concept of business complain about such great prices and service!Highly recommended, and I will be getting an A/C maintenance contract and probably a small stand alone Mitsubishi unit so I don’t have to cool and entire house in Texas summer…Great job guys!Tim StewartRobson Ranch

Attic InsulationDylan Tekell and his team completed an overhaul of my attic in November 2021. They had an enormous task. There had been 3 wood shingle roofs put on my home since being built in the lake 1960s. Many of those shingles fell in my attic crushing the insulation with no cleanup by the roofer! Dylan took on that job which took more than a week clearing the attic first of all wood shingles and wood as a basis for the last roof replacement of composition shingles that also fell. He then cleared the attic of the previous insulation and ductwork. He then replaced the ducts and put fiberglass insulation with new vents through the house and put foam over all exposed cracks.Their work was absolutely exceptional!! The two men were here every day before 8! Dylan was overseeing constantly and Leo, the manager also came and then inspected their work.If anyone plans to have new insulation and ducts replaced in the attic I would hire Dylan Tekell of BCI Mehanical here in Denton, Texas. He is very personable and easy to work with. Prices are reasonable and no add ons once you sign the contract.Margaret. M. GriffinSouthridge

We have been customers of BCI Mechanical for HVAC and plumbing issues for the past 6 years. Have used them multiple times each year. I am givning them 1 star as they are using a new pricing system - flat fee - and the prices have almost doubled! We have a running toliet and the price to repair (replace the insides) is $235! We had the same thing done about a year ago on two toliets and the cost was $135 for each one. We will no longer use BCI Mechanical.

Weve used BCI exclusivity for our Plumbing issues. They always response quickly and the techs have always known how to fix the issue.Highly recommend.

I wish I could give no stars. I didnt even have to do business with them and most certainly wont after the ridiculous road rage from one of the drivers this morning. It was about 7:45am when we were driving and apparently I upset the driver because I was so close when we turned together. I had my son with me when he started ranting in his side view mirror. When I went to pass him after we got on the highway he started to roll his window down while looking at me as if to throw something out the window and hit me. I didnt pass him and fortunately he got off at the Teasley exit. If you encounter an older brown-haired man with a burley mustache then I would stay away! Hes way too crazy and hot tempered to be trusted. Worst of all he was driving this companys van and that only tells me theyre all like this.
