I had Cogburn’s come out a couple of years ago because of an issue I was having with my ac unit (it was original to my 1982 house). They quickly diagnosed the problem and we decided it would make more sense to go with a new unit. They helped find the perfect fit for our needs. I’ve had the unit service a couple of times since then, just general maintenance, and every time I am impressed with the professionalism and knowledge their techs exhibit! You can tell that this company cares about their customer’s experience and the quality of the service they provide. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Cogburns really saved the day. I had made 4 previous calls around Denton to see if someone could get out quickly and Cogburns was the only one who could get out within the next hour. My tech was Rick and he was very nice, super helpful, and let me know that if I ever needed to just call up there and ask for help with my AC if it were something I could do myself, they would help walk me thought it. Definitely going with Cogburns if I should run into another issue.

They were ripping us off replacing the new ac capacitor. They charged us a new capacitor for $438. I took a picture of capacitor and looked up online and it’s only $65.99.

The service was outstanding from start to finish! Byron was able to come over the day after we called, which was amazing as no one wants to be without AC in Texas for too long. During the initial visit, he spent 45 minutes with me going over all our options, giving thorough explanations and taking the time to answer my questions. Once we made a decision on Friday, we were able to get the new HVAC installed on Monday. The crew was incredible, kind and cleaned up so it was like they were never there. Further, Byron made sure to have a handyman come by on Tuesday to take care of a few unexpected repairs. When they say “no surprises pricing,” they really mean it. We are so lucky to live in a town where local businesses are the lifeblood of our community, and business like Cogburn’s make it clear to see why.

My experience with Cogburns Heating and Air started with a phone call requesting a quote to replace my HVAC home system. I called them first because they were a local company and I have often seen their vans around town.I was pleasantly surprised by the fast response. The owner himself showed up for a thorough conversation about my problems and possible solutions. His knowledge was clear and he found the time to answer my questions and explain them to my satisfaction during the one hour he stayed in my house. He gave me the necessary information about prices and the possible systems the company offered. It was a very competitive quote.Although our own constraints led us to another company, Cogburns Heating and Air receive from us a high score for response time, knowledge and warranties.

Excellent service. Rickey discovered that the condensate line had been installed incorrectly and didn’t drain properly. We i’ve been out of town and upon returning the house was quite warm. The service call was answered promptly and the technician was on site within the hour on a holiday weekend.

I had a stopped up AC drainCalled Cogburns after hours and technician Rick was here within 30 minutes..he was so courteousand efficient. Water was coming out of the Ceiling fan and down the walls...I had some dental work done yesterday and I had been resting today...so I was not aware all this was happening in the living room...thanks to Cogburns help I may be okay.

I used Cogburns today for a spring check-up and Im glad I did. They discovered a few problems that left unchecked, would have caused major problems. Roger was the assigned technician to complete the original check-up and he was GREAT. The owner himself was involved to make sure the work was done on time and 2 other guys were here as well (sorry I didnt get their names). While I would have preferred to not spend the money on this, Cogburns provides a fair price and EXCEPTIONAL service. Highly recommend!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner himself came out and serviced our units. He knew his stuff. I also have a mini split unit and he checked it out, even though they do not do mini split units.. Very honest company. I would recommend this conpany to anyone. I signed up for thier silver service only 198 dollars a year and they Come out twice a year and servive your unit . This company gets 5 star reviews. (Note) there are so many ac compies that wil not work on mobil homes.

When we arrived home at 6PM on a 40-degree day to find our furnace not working, we called Cogburns because they were nearby. We found the on-call Tech was supporting another customer out of town and were told hed give us a call.We received a call shortly after, with a promise to stop by on the way back to Denton. True to his word, our Tech arrived 30 minutes later, and had our heat on in 15 minutes.I will certainly work with Cogburns again!

My gas furnace is old (2008), and I hoped Cogburn could help solve the problem without replacing the entire system. I paid $99 for zero repairs. The next day I contacted Cogburn, letting them know my original problem not having heat wasn’t corrected. Claiming they had the fix, Cogburn told my wife to bang on the gas valve/pipe to get the heat working.It was a dumb and unsafe suggestion banging on a gas valve, instead of suggesting replacing the valve/pipe, and/or the blower.I’d planned on using Cogburn for all my HVAC needs because they are local. Never again will I call them for help.I’m not one for ratings, but Cogburn sent too many requests seeking my experience. Calling them twice, my problem not solved, and suggesting banging on a gas valve has me running far away from Cogburn.Update 1/3/2024:After paying for a great service...not with Cogburns, I had to come back here to update how horrible Cogburns really can be when you need them.First, I shut off my gas valve after knowing my system wasnt working, for safety. Cogburns employee said we needed to bang on the gas valve instead of recommending replacing it. Today, I paid to replace the gas valve with a new company, but it didnt fix my problem.What Cogburns couldnt do, another company was diligent and caring enough seeking what was causing my problem. Today, I paid to replace the control board, and my family and I finally have adequate heat for the entire house.Sincerely, stay away from Cogburns!Cogburn, dont call my wife a liar.Cogburn, what does asking about estimates to replace my current system say anything about not fixing my current system...during the winter, seriously? You and your tech suck at diagnosing. Thanks to your horrible service, I found a better company when I need help.

Our experience with Cogburn started out well. They installed new air conditioner units at a good price, helped me get a good loan, and they were prompt and polite when we called for service. Their technicians seem were polite and seemed to be good at their jobs, but it seemed that their management restrained the level of warranty repairs they were allowed to do without approval. I do not understand why that would happen, but it seemed like the technicians were restrained from warrantying out parts.I had over 22 service calls for repairs between May and August. The unit normally worked around 3-5 days before it would quit working. Sometimes it worked longer, sometimes it only worked for an hour. The most common recurring issue was communication between the indoor and outdoor units, but there were other issues as well (drip pan full due to primary drain line being clogged, vent line fell off plenum, etc).Cogburn insisted on a representative from the manufacturer come out twice to see if the computer card or entire unit should be replaced. Of course, both times the manufacturers representative found no faults with the computer card or the air conditioner but instead insisted it was an issue with our home (wiring, air intake, etc.. these issues were corrected by Cogburn and the unit still did not work more than a few days).In August, I finally gave up on Cogburn and called for Strittmatter, another HVAC company, to look at our air conditioner.Why did I wait until over 22 service calls in a 3 month period before calling another company? I really dont know.Unlike Cogburns, Strittmatter did not need the manufacturer to inspect the unit and agree to replace the computer card. Their technician inspected our unit and determined it was probably a bad computer card. They used the warranty to replace the computer card and had the. unit running within 48 hours (time to get the part). It ran with no issues the rest of the Summer.I expected a better experience after purchasing two new air conditioning units.On a positive note, Cogburn did at least agree to loan us a small window unit for the Master Bedroom after we were several weeks into the recurring issues with our air conditioning unit. Also, they were always polite and prompt to respond to our calls for service. I was never charged for any of the repairs, they did honor the warranty labor for the new unit.. they just failed to get it repaired in what I consider to be a reasonable amount of time. They would have continued trying to repair it if I had not decided to change companies (after 3 months of issues).

Cogburns was the only AC repair that could do same day service. The re;pairman showed up when promised and checked all possibilities as to why my air was not cooling. He was professional and found the problem. I asked him several questions about filters and he answered all my questions. I figured that I was his last call of the day. Wrong! He had 2 more calls but never appeared too busy to answer my questions. I will always use Cogburns and have told all my friends how satisfied I as with the service

My air went out on Saturday night. I called first thing Monday morning and they scheduled me for 11 that morning. Milton arrived at 10 and by my original appointment time I was up and running. Milton was extremely professional and even made sure the unit was dropping the temp before leaving. The price was very fair and I couldnt be happier. I highly recommend them for your needs.

They replaced our downstairs unit with a more efficient unit, and a year later our upstairs unit went out. Both times, they were quick and efficient, and they also followed-up to make sure everything was working properly. They do routine maintenances check ups and are very fast. They recently did a service and checked my inside ac unit. They replaced one of the drain pipes, which it was later checked by other 3 AC specialists and was told it was installed wrong and it could have issues. I called this company back to let them know that I was worried about the installation and what seems like the receptions told us they would charge me even more to check it out and “prove me wrong”. The owner called us very upset regarding our complaint, and he didn’t even try to come in person and talk and check out our unit. Save your money and hire somebody else.

Our 2013 Amana Heating and Air Conditioner unit stop working on Aug 1, 2023. We informed Cogburn Heating and Air Conditioning at around 5:30pm. They sent their engineer within 1 hour of informing them. The engineer tried to fix it but told us that the compressor is not working and we have to change the unit. As we have a lifetime warranty on the unit, they replaced the unit the next day without any charges for the unit except for installation services. We appreciate that they fixed it within 24 hours and we didnt have to spend another night without an aircon during this unbearable heatwave. We are pleased with their excellent services.

I rent a small home to a disabled couple, one is recovering from a recent organ transplant. I first contacted Cogburn’s in May 2023 requesting repair for the AC, and it has been the worst service disaster I’ve ever experienced. Not only was the AC system never fixed, Cogburn’s agenda was to sell me a new AC system, rather than fixing the existing unit. We all agree this has been the hottest summer on record and Cogburn was fully aware of the fragility of my renters. This man’s lack of ethics and empathy is stunning. I went through a different company in August 2023 to finally get the necessary repairs that cost $1300.00, now the system is working. I wasted $1670.00 with Cogburn and he refuses to refund my money for the costs of these multiple failed repair attempts. I have asked politely for a refund, and now he will no longer reply to my emails. Consumer beware, and get estimates from multiple companies before you do business with Cogburn.

Let me start by saying WOW!! My A/C went out on Monday in this Texas triple digit weather.My first quote was over $12k . Cogburns came out after hours and was over $3.4K less annnnnd installed Wednesday morning, even being understaffed!The tech Roger was super polite, kind and curteous . We are now almost 2 years in and still have a unit that doesn’t heat or cool properly. We paid Cogburns to replace our duct system as well so they have no excuse for why it still doesn’t work properly . At this point I wish I had the money to have a different company look at it. Unfortunately I don’t so I’ve spent 15k for nothing. This company is a scam!!!!I’m now a year in and still nothing but issues. Today my heater won’t heat. I’ve had countless service calls and they still can’t get it right. DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE.I’ve waited a long time to write this in the hopes that my issues would be fixed, but I’m out of patience. We purchased a combo unit and paid to redo our duct work back in January. We live in an old home and knew this wouldn’t be easy but Byron (the owner) came out and spoke with me and assured me he could handle the job.I called 3 other company’s to give me quotes, none of them seemed as knowledgeable as Byron so we went with him. This was a huge purchase for us, we’ve financed the new unit and duct work for 5 years to be able to “afford” this.The first day they came out their techs were very polite and professional, however 12 hours later the unit still wasnt running so they called Ricky. He came and explained that the unit was 60hz and we have a 30 amp house so that was why they were having trouble getting it working. It was all very confusing but he left with our unit running on heat. I don’t recall the date of the first issue but I know it was the first time we tried to run the ac, the unit froze up. It took 7 service calls for them to finally get that fixed and it was Ricky who finally fixed it.During this time I tried to get Byron on the phone at least a half dozen times and was told over and over that he was unavailable. I can’t tell you how upset that made me, the least the owner could have done was called me at that point! Fast forward a bit and I have a minor issue. The French drain they installed isn’t deep enough and I have some puddling going on.I call and actually get Byron on the phone, which I was grateful for. He apologized and we discussed my issue and agreed on how to resolve it. I even told him no rush, the unit is running fine just come when you can but I want you or Ricky here. He said they would be here the next morning. The workers show up promptly at 9am, but Byron was not here, I asked the guys to let him know I wasn’t happy about that but we agreed they could start since it’s such a simple fix.A while later Byron still hadn’t shown up and the workers told me he was out getting supplies for the drain, that’s fine. At 2pm I call the office to let them know the workers are gone, I haven’t seen Byron and now the original drain line is leaking at the unit!!!! I was furious to say the least. They couldn’t even get this simple fix right and I have no idea why they came over without the supplies to fix the issue when I told them it was no rush!!!!!!!!I am now scheduled to have Ricky come in the morning. I am confident he will be able to solve my issue but I sincerely hope I never have another issue while under warranty. If I do I’ll probably just pay an actual professional to come fix the problem.

They replaced my Heating Unit only, unlike some others who would have required replacing both Heat and AC at much higher cost. Their Installers and Tech Service people are excellent and fixed a manufacturers defect out of the box new. They found a leak in my duct-work and sealed it. Their on-call service responds quickly. All the staff are friendly and easy to work with. I would recommend this company to all my friends.

I called Cogburns at about 8:30 am - they said it would about 11 am when a technician could get there - he came about 10:15 am and diagnosed/fixed the problem (was very knowledgeable and patiently explained stuff to answer my many questions) - was all done by 10:45 am and everything is working properly now! Our AC stopped working in the middle of the night. I called about mid-day and they were able to schedule a tech to come out same day at 4pm. He was able to come earlier than scheduled, and texted to let us know he was on his way. Rick was extremely professional and explained exactly the what was wrong with the system. We engaged Cogburn to check our central HVAC at our business. Their recommendation was to change the evaporator coil, as there were signs of a leak. A personal request was made to Byron to double check there was no leak in the condenser coil. If there was a leak, we could change the whole unit. A detailed leak test was conducted and it was reconfirmed there was no leak in the condenser coil. It was also reiterated by the owner, Byron that by changing the evap coil, the system will work effectively. A new coil was installed and it worked well for a few days after which it did not cool. We made a service call; they suspected more coolant may need to be added to recalibrate, since the evap coil was new. The tech came and went, the cooling did not improve. We made another call. Another tech came by and checked the evap & condenser coils. He suspected there may be a microscopic leak in the condenser coil. Since then, we have made innumerable attempts to contact Byron to understand why the leak was not detected when they did the detailed leak test. But, Byron does not return either calls or messages. It appears they are after the quick buck, and no customer or follow-up service from the owner himself. And, their tagline is How can we make you smile - ironic, isnt it!

Our home AC system went out on a Saturday. Cogburns had someone here within the hour to diagnose the problem. We had a big issue that couldnt be fixed until Monday, but the guys showed up promptly and had us cooling again just after lunch. We totally signed up for the maintenance package where they come and inspect your system a couple times a year to stop issues before they can get too expensive. Worth every penny!

The first person I spoke with scheduled the appointment and asked me to call back if the tech didn’t show up within 2.5 - 3 hours, which they never ever showed. So I called back at the 3 hour mark and they said they cannot contact the tech because they don’t have that ability from the call center, so we still had no ETA. I called back an hour later and they said the same thing; no ETA. I called back 2 hours later to see if they could give us any information at all and they said the emergency visit had expired. All I wanted was a ETA but they never could provide so we scheduled a call with “Force Home Services” and we had a call from their tech within 10 minutes. Cogburn’s has horrible customer service and leave their customs hanging. I wouldn’t recommend Cogburn’s to my worst enemy. Maybe we were a one-off issue, but in the end, their customer service is that of a poorly run company..

Needed to replace a 24 year old system......didnt want to! Byron came out and discussed our options. He listened to our situation and, he didnt try to strong arm us into something we didnt need. We did go up a notch because of the attractive bundle price. The next day at 8:30, the truck showed up with the components. Rego and Brian worked in 110 degree attic and, by 2:30 cool air replacing the hot.Over the next week, we watched our Nest learn the more efficient system. It is leveling out at between 8-10 hours less than before. It is quieter and consumes less energy.Great job guys

My AC died a week ago and we called these guys to come and replace the system. They came the next day to work on it, but when I went outside to go to work, all of them were playing on their phones. Why am I paying someone to just play around when my place is 80 degrees?!Over the course of the next week, they have been back every single day. Whatever they did to the ac did not fix the issue. Every morning I wake up sweating at four am because the ac just... Stopped! There is no other explanation. It stops blowing cool air, despite the temperature set at 70. I wake up and its 77 or higher.Ive called everyday to have somebody come out and fix the ac. Ive told them that I want to speak to the technician when they get here so I can see what the problem is. Nobody has come to talk to me. Even the owner was sent out to see what was going on and yet were still experiencing this awful issue.Im at my wits end. Im so frustrated. Its well over 105 degrees outside and yet sometimes it feels cooler out there than it does in here. If you want actual results, go to somebody else. Im calling my landlord to see if we can use somebody more qualified.

Recently, the heating system in our home failed. After a bit of research we contacted Cogburns Heating & Air Conditioning. Mr. Cogburn listened to our concerns, then sent one of his HVAC technicians, Ricky, to diagnose the problem. Mr. Cogburn soon joined Ricky to confirm this & after reviewing the problem with us, listening to & answering our questions, he recommended a solution. On 5/16 I had a complete HVAC replacement by Cogburns and it far exceeded my expectations. I had previously had them service my 16 year old system a couple times and found them to be informative, helpful, and polite. I called the office at the beginning of May telling them of my interest in a consultation for replacement and they scheduled for the owner Byron Cogburn to come out and talk to me.Byron came out and we sat down for over an hour and talked through everything after he looked at my current system. We talked about pricing and what the entire install would look like and what makes them different from other ac companies. I already knew because I had done my research. At the end he told me he would go back to his office and see what he had in inventory for the best bang for my buck. I wanted a 16 SEER rated unit because the City of Denton will reimburse you through the Green Sense program $600 for getting a system with at least this energy rating installed by a qualified installer as well as you can get a reimbursement on your federal taxes.Byron came out the next day with a quote for the high end Bryant system that I wanted. The quote was a little more than I initially wanted to spend but I knew it was a good value and you get what you pay for. We agreed and scheduled installation. Afterwards I looked up the model numbers on the air handler and outdoor unit and it added up for me as good value.The installers and Byron came out on Monday morning and got straight to work. Byron comes out before and after the install to make sure it is executed to his standards and what you and him agree on. The installers were amazing. Very courteous and efficient. They wore shoe covers anytime they were in the house and communicated what they were doing.It was about a 6 hour install. They worked from beginning till they completed the job without a lunch. Immediately when they were done I could fill a difference in the house. Big thanks to installer Victor. He was awesome. I looked at everything afterwards and it is a thing of beauty.The Bryant system I got came with a Bryant smart thermostat that hooks to your WiFi and is really easy to use. It can track and report your local weather and provide setting recommendations. It has a full schedule and you can control it from your phone. I had a smart thermostat with my home alarm system and this one is way better. What better thermostat to work with your Bryant system than one made by that company.Byron came out two days later to check the install. I think this is smart because it gives you time to use it and ask him any questions. He inspected the system and said there were there minor things that needed done. They forgot to put a sticker on the outdoor unit to contact them if anything is done to the unit, put an anchor on one of the outdoor lines, and put a valve on the drain line so you can close it and blow it out with a compressor. I really appreciated this because I did not even notice any of those things and I am mechanically inclined. I installed my own water heater and every other appliance but HVAC is a little out of my wheelhouse.Another great call out Brittany in the office is extremely helpful. She filled out and prepped everything for your Denton rebate and your equipment registry. I just got my inspection from the city and will have my rebate soon the my monthly utility bill.All in all it Cogburns entire experience greatly exceeded my expectations. It is refreshing to make an expensive purchase and then afterwards feel like you would make the choice again ten times over. Especially with how customer service is lacking more and more these days. I initially wanted Cogburns because of the service and they deliver. You get free two year basic service with the system purchase and I upgraded to the silver. I really feel like I have the piece of mind knowing I have a local family owned company with great installers who will support my HVAC system through the long life of this unit and beyond. If I could give less than one star, I would. If you have money to burn, then this company is for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere. There are plenty of other heating/ac repair companies in the DFW area who stand behind their work who are not only professional, but have a conscience when it comes to their customer base and what theyre charged.My husband and I own a home in McKinney, which has been leased out collectively 4+ years. We had an issue almost 3 years ago with the heat/ac unit, and called a local repair service, that with labor + materials = $550.00 total. (and we still have that receipt.) Almost 3 years of no issues after the original repair, so we have no issue with that company and what service they provided.Different residents = its just part of life that issues will arise, and we plan for that. Unfortunately the unit we have is known for a particular set of issues, so when the same issue came up with the ac/heat unit, and we okd them using Cogburns---a mistake we wont EVER make again. Labor + materials + diagnostic fee = **$792.00**!!! This is the 3rd home weve owned, including a flip house, and on the occasions we had to engage a repair professional, once they were hired for their services, the diagnostic fee was *always* waived. So, not only was the cost from Cogburns inflated, but they kick in that extra gouge even when one makes the error of hiring them for the repair work.I looked up the reviews on this company (unfortunately) after using Cogburns; one site has other reviews and they get a 5 star rating, while here on Google I was unhappily surprised to see others who have been in the same boat as us, which makes me seriously doubt the validity of any the other good reviews.Also, calling around after getting this unreasonable bill, we found out the part needed for this repair did not exceed $250.00; this is a huge consideration in that Cogburns did not provide an itemized invoice--it just has replaced part and charge. Also, not by any stretch professional.Do yourself a favor--when you need heat/ac work done, contact and hire someone else. Were not some huge LLC or company, just a regular family doing our best in this economy to avoid foreclosure, so this is not simply some write off. If this had been a new problem without any history, wed not have a complaint; since this was repeat taking care of a problem--the just about 30% markup is just ridiculous.

Owner came out to service my ac unit for the annual inspection and I was told everything looked pretty clean. I have 2 houses on my property very different sizes [one has 2 units, my house only has 1 unit] and he didnt know which house he was going to. I told my husband I was pretty sure he didnt go in the attic because the stairs were exactly how I put them. The excuse I was given was that the first guy was a little over weight. Then dont send the man out for annual inspections. The second man was in my attic about 15 minutes when I decided to go out and see if everything was ok. He was up there in the dark. Didnt even bother to turn on the attic light. I told him I really needed to go to work. Another 10 minutes of him doing who knows what he comes down. He said I had some loose screws. Over 20 minutes to tighten screws? This on a unit that is 2 years old. I fully expect that he broke something. If something is broken I know who I wont be calling.

Avoid Cogburns at all cost!I called these guys out when my AC stopped working. When the tech arrived (late) he told me that my starter capacitor was bad. I told him to replace it. When he finished the job, he presented me with a $350.00 bill. This is a job that would be completed by any other company for $150-200. He told me that he would knock $50 off the bill if I signed up for a service contract, which I reluctantly agreed to. A few hours after he left, the house failed to cool down. I called them back and they sent out the same tech about 3 hours later. He then told me that I needed a new compressor and that it would cost $1500.00 for a used one. I told him I did not have the money for that and he left. The next day I called out a second opinion. The tech from the second company diagnosed the problem as a bad fan. He suggested that I try to work with Cogburns to make the situation right. I called Cogburns back, I told them that I found out it was a bad fan. They promised to send a tech out right away to make the situation right, and give me their gold discount. The second tech arrived about an hour after promised. He then checked the system out, and confirmed it was only the fan that was bad. He then told me that he did not have the part and it would be the next day that the work could be completed. He could not make a promise on what it would cost. I finally told them I just wanted my money back. They then proceeded to charge my card for the balance of the capacitor. I had to call back 4 times before they would agree to refund my money, but only after returning the capacitor (a 29.99 part). The company that I got the second opinion from finished the job(both capacitor and fan for under $400. Cogburns wanted $700 for the same job, and tried to sell me a new compressor when it was not needed. When I returned their capacitor, they refunded my money, but no one there gave me an apology, not even the owner who I ran into in the parking lot. These guys are crooked as a politicians. DO NOT USE COGBURNS!!!!!! They just want to rip you off and do not care about their customers. BUYER BEWARE, COGBURNS ARE CROOKS!

Had an appointment scheduled for well over a week for 3:00 on a Monday. Wife spoke with office which informed her of online coupon to have our system checked. Had coupon printed out and cash ready for technician. 3:00 nobody came. Called office at 4:00 to see if technician was held up because I hadn’t received a call about being late. I was told that our name and address were not in the system and that we had no appointment. Informed them that my wife did indeed call and All I got was a “well that’s weird” and they “might” be able to get someone to the house at 5:00 but the technician just arrived at his current call. Wasted a day, cancelled plans and end up with a “well we never spoke to you sooo...” kinda feeling. Have read the great reviews which is why we called but would have been nice for them to have a better excuse than “ are you sure you called us”! Not trying to take away business but my first experience was not great.

If I could give them a lower review I would have. We got a new air conditioner installed by them six years ago and have had nothing but problems with the unit. We had them out every year when we started the unit up in the summer because it wouldnt hold freon. The unit leaked from my attic multiple times and they only offered to paint the patch they ruined in the ceiling, so I have a patch that doesnt match in my ceiling. The unit stopped working again (outside of the warranty) and the technician from another company asked who installed the unit because it looked like they hadnt put a part on the condenser properly. Think long and hard before calling them out. I will not be calling them again.

Very disappointed! Bought a brand new unit less then 3 years ago. The compressor went out which should not happen in under 3 years period. Its our upstairs unit so its not even heavily used. They wanted to charge over $800 in service. Does not seem right at all. When someone has spent several thousand with a company to purchase something brand new they should not be charged almost another thousand less than 3 years later.

This has to be the WORSE company in Denton, Texas. They were supposed to install a unit which took weeks and it was never installed correctly. After the unit started leaking through our ceiling, the service guy finally came out. When I told him we wanted a new pan under the unit because it was going to rust from sitting in water for so long, he left without telling us anything and never came back. We ended up having to hire another company to fix Cogburns screw ups. I wish I could give them less than one star. They will sweet talk you to get your business then screw you. BEWARE!
