A really terrible experience. At 8:30 in the evening, water began to drip from the AC unit in our attic through our ceiling, and flood our kitchen. We purchased our HVAC from Decatur Heat & Air and pay for their regular maintenance of our equipment…including this summer.I immediately called their number, I explained to their employee who answered my call exactly what was happening. She assured me that they offer 24-hour emergency service and a technician would call me when he was on his way. We never got that call. I called back an hour later and explained again, and an hour after that, and was promised each time that their 24-hour emergency help was coming. No call, and no help, ever came.Finally, I drove to their office when they opened the next morning so I could find somebody to talk to. They told me that no technician was taking calls for their “24 hour emergency service”. They hadn’t even seen the messages that I had left with their employees 3 times the night before…and who had promised help was coming. Several hours later they finally sent somebody to help us.We have been faithful customers for many years. I have recommended them many times. To say the least, we’re done doing business with them.

Had this company out on 8-8-24 for some AC work and a consult on ductwork. Since then I have called multiple times every week to try to schedule someone to come out and do the work. The tech who came out was great and fixed some issues, but it’s the office staff who don’t care. I’m still having to sleep in a hot bedroom. Each time I call trying to get service the lady says “ok I’ve submitted your request, it’s in the right spot”. Then I hear nothing. It’s been 6 weeks of that. It’s ridiculous that I can’t schedule an appointment. Don’t use this company unless you want to be given the run around.

Me and my co-workers at Twisted X, really appreciate Shaun and his amazing technicians at Decatur Heat & Air for replacing our mini split so quickly, during record high temperatures. We used DH&A for our 850 sq ft barndo. They were quick and easy on installation and set up (price was high but to be expected for good quality which we didn’t get). We had issue after issue with the unit as soon as we moved in. They did come out EVERY time and tried everything to get fixed from replacing condenser and the entire unit. Which I am very grateful for and the only reason why they don’t get a 1 star.Josh, the tech is awesome. The only reason why it has taken me so long to leave a bad review. He always makes us feel like we aren’t crazy for having such a bad unit.Anyways, they had to cut a huge hole in our ceiling to get the new unit in there. We are almost 3 months after replacement and the hole still is not fixed after multiple attempts to get this scheduled. I talk to Pam and then it never gets to the right person. We moved in may 2022 and it’s October 2022 and our issues still aren’t resolved. It’s not my job to keep calling in the same issue on getting resolved. I think we have been very patient with this and now it’s out of hand. Just tried calling 3 times and can’t get anyone to answer the phone. If we can get the little things fixed, we would consider changing our review of DH&A.***I have chaged my review. DH&A came out and addressed my concerns and the AC has kept up throughout the hot and the furnace for the cold months.*** i still think the office needs to communicate better which is why this is still a 4 star

Purchased home Aug 2017. A/C started acting up soon there after. Contacted The Home Insurance company enclosed with the sale of the house. They sent their contractor of course. They told me that Insurance company was never going to replace my 20 year old HVAC and that I was going to throw away $1K worth of repairs the insurance didnt cover. Im glad they were honest with me. They offer me a new heat pump and the parts needs for the air handler for $4,800. I then contacted Decatur Heat and Air for they were highly recommended by friends of mine in Decatur. They arrived at 0630Hrs and by 1030Hrs they were gone and I was left with a Top of the line brand new HVAC system all brand new out the box handler, pump, thermostat, etc. for $6,500 which made more sense and now I have a 10 year warranty on it plus if well maintained will last another 10 years after that. The crew was very friendly and professional. They came and wasted no time and even cleaned up after themselves which is more that I can say about other contractors. Thank you Decatur Heat and Air for such a great response time, for all the up front information and the amazing communication. Keep up the great work and have a great day. Eddie R. Affordable service, great troubleshooting and in no time he was done and out the door and my A/C unit was back in service. Another reason for me to stick with Decatur Heat & Air. Nathaniel and Brett saved us from the coming hot days. Our blower went out sometime last night and we were scheduled for a service next week. They were able to get us in today before it hits 95 tomorrow. Always get great service with DHAC.

Casey came out to our house with in an hour and got our unit back up and going. He recommended a surge protector for our AC unit and it was reasonable priced. Next purchase is going to be a silver maintenance package through them. Thank you Casey for your quick response and knowledge of the problem and fast fix on a Sunday morning.

Bad communication with person answering phone. She had no sense of urgency. I had to call office every day for any type of update. Was told supervisor would call me back and I never received a call back. Said it was 3-5 days to get part and another 1-2 days to show up and service. I understand waiting for the part, but it’s hot and we had no AC - I don’t understand waiting for service. Would’ve been over a week without AC if we would’ve waited for them to service. Called competitor and they fixed same day.

Ive called Decatur Heat & Air, Inc. two times since I bought my home in Decatur in 2017. Now, Im on a twice yearly plan to have them come out and make sure everything is running as it should be. Such a nice, professional group. Scott explained everything about the repair in terms I was able to understand. I can relax knowing this reputable company took care of my heating unit as winter is around the corner. Ive recommended them to family members already.

Decatur Heat and Air was easy to deal with. Got us scheduled and stuck to it. Plenty of reminders and opportunity to reschedule if we needed. Josh was great. He was energetic and patient with me as I have lots of questions. It was clear he knew what he was doing and never hesitated except to answer my questions. The technician Scott was great! He didnt mind taking time to explain everything to us. He never acted rushed or annoyed at our many questions. I have requested that they send him out every time if possible. I hope they do everything to keep him around because he is worth his weight in gold.

Everything was handled professionally and promptly from the moment I reached Dedra with customer service through my appointment. Nathaniel is an excellent technician who broke down the diagnosis and explained the cost as it applied to my warranty coverage. He got my system up and operational in less than a half an hour. Job well done.

Casey C came out today and gave me a good assessment of my ac unit and replaced what was wrong with it. Pricing is fair and he was quick to replace the item and checked to make sure everything else was working the way it should.

Decatur Heat & Air answered my call promptly and sent someone out within 30 minutes of me calling. They had my unit running in a short period of time. Scott was very personable, professional and polite. He walked me through the issues and options in an easy to understand manner. He cleaned up after himself and was overall great to work with.

They misdiagnosed the issue with my central heat. They said my heat coils were burned out. My unit is only 2 years old. I talked to Joshua at Clear Air and he thought it was a sequester that was out. He came out and looked and said heat strips were great changed that one part and all is great and cost me half the price Decatur heat and air was going to charge me. I still ended up eating 263.69 from Decatur heat and air for a mis diagnosis.

Within 15 minutes of my call to Decatur Heat and Air tech, Scott S. gave me a call and was at my door a half hour later. He diagnosed the problem quickly and let me know my options. He was polite, prompt and kept me informed on what he was doing.I would recommend this company based on Scott’s performance and politeness.

Decatur Heat & Air has maintained our multi-unit system for years and always done a great job. They have also installed a new heating system in our sanctuary that runs like a champ. They are honest and dont try to sell you what you dont need. Josh is knowledgeable and explains things well. Great company and great staff.

Our drip pan over flowed and Shannon was very helpful in getting Cole and Josh to our house same day. Josh and Cole did a great job in finding the issue and getting fixed. All 3 are great to work with and are very helpful and knowledgeable. If you need any AC work done, give Shannon a call and ask for Josh and Cole to come fix your AC issue.

Scott was super helpful and got the job done in less than an hour! We got connected to him late at night and he helped us over the phone until he could get here the next morning. We’ve had bad luck with another big company so it was nice to have Decatur Heat & Air actually fix the problem.

This company is beyond amazing! We have used them several times always with a great result. They came out promptly at the promised time and figured out our issue of why our AC wasn’t keeping cool enough, it was a clogged P trap. They cleaned it right out and got our unit working right away. Our trusted electrical contractor was busy on prior obligations and referred us to Decatur Heat & Air to remove several high-end chandeliers, some mounted on 21 high ceilings, and replace with ceiling fans. One entry fixture they removed was a 21-light crystal led pendant worth over $12k. With a very difficult area to work with, Doug and his helper meticulously removed each pendant, preserving the pieces for resale. Doug is a professional who cares about his customers. He went above any beyond our expectations. If he represents the standard at DH&A, we highly recommend them!

Decatur Heat & Air is my go to for any repairs personally and they do all of my new construction installs. They have been absolutely wonderful and I always have peace of mind when I speak to Brandi in the office knowing she does what she says she is going to do! Highly recommend!

I called on Thursday and made an appointment for Monday. On Friday the office called to offer me an emergency phone number in case it got bad over the weekend. Monday, Nathaniel showed up and did the work. It cost far less than I expected, and my house is cool now!

Scott did an awesome job. Quick reponse time in the middle of the summer heat. Old unit (2007) needed some TLC. They were on site in less than 12 hours from first call. System was repaired in less than two hours with more than a few parts needing replacement as he worked through the electrical system. He explained each failure/replacement in detail as he tested/replaced each part.Thanks Scott! Great job!

Scott from Decatur Heat and Air came out after hours and replaced my compressor fan motor and pumped in some freon. He did great. He was super professional, thorough, and proficient at his job.

This company installed the HVAC on the house we just purchased. The condenser is even still under warranty. The previous owner agreed to pay for duct work that showed up on our home inspection. They set up with this company and were told they would call in advance before showing up. They showed up to the house while we were in Florida with no notice. We called June 24 to reschedule and the lady tried to put blame on me saying we werent home... We never got a call? So they said dispatch would call to reschedule. Waited days with no calls. So I called in and they said they had more important calls to complete with people who dont have air. (I get it completely) So she said 3 weeks. After 3 weeks and 3 days I followed up on July 18. Again I got dispatch will call you. Three days later I call back, dispatch will call you. Not once has dispatched called me and I have called in every other day since June 18. I ask to talk to dispatch and every time I get an excuse as to why shes not there or cant talk. I will never use this company and do not recommend you to unless you want to wait 8 weeks or more.*I do not have any missed calls from you. The call log does not show what number you are calling either. I advised you twice that you had the wrong number early on.”

Scot did a great job assessing our problem. While fixing the issue we called about, he discovered another problem that would have cost more come winter had he not caught the problem. Great service and great communication.

First, when I called the company to have them come to our house, the lady was very polite and upfront with me on what they would charge to come out and look at our air conditioner. Second, the technician that came out was very nice and professional. He knew what he was doing, was upfront on what it was going to cost to fix it, had the part in his vehicle, was able to fix the problem and our air conditioner works great. Earlier this year, Decatur Heat & Air replaced our entire unit and did us a fantastic job! This visit, they came out for our fall service which is part of the service plan we purchased. Luke was our service professional. Once again, he was very professional but still personable - easy to talk to and once again, he tolerated our nosey busy body birddogs!One of the biggest plus factors for me with Decatur Heat & Air is that anytime I have called them or received a call from them, the person on the other end of the call has always been super nice and friendly - even after all the work was complete. Each call still feels like they appreciate their customers, no matter the size the job. Decatur Heat & Air - I highly recommend this company!!!

Called for a replacement estimate, guy showed up walked in the living room asked what I wanted looked at where the A/C was and said he would get me an itemized estimate then left. He was there less than 10 minutes! An estimate showed up in my email with ZERO information other than SEER rating and a price of six different systems along with the statement if you have any questions let me know. I have sent three different emails asking questions about the quote and the price and not one response.It has been over a week and NO follow up no questions answered nothing. So Glad I DID NOT and will not use this company!And within hours of placing a review they responded! And yes I did say the bid laid out like this put you out of consideration....... but the rest of that first email asked questions about your estimate because it was not detailed and did not include information about what we talked about.Point is beware they do not communicate well at all unless you review on social media.

We just had our two air conditioning units replaced by Decatur Heat and Air. The technicians arrived on time and were extremely courteous and respectful of our property. They worked diligently and carefully throughout the installation process. They did a great job of cleaning up before they left. My husband and I will definitely recommend Decatur Heat and Air to our friends and neighbors.

Need electrical installation. The first week was good and after that they were the most incompetent people ever when they gave me an estimate it was multiple projects crammed in the same task. I do not know what I would be paying for. I asked several times and every person transferred me to each other and they kept ending the phone call. I was glad they have a payment portal and scheduling system. I did that schedule LAST WEEK ?! And yet no reply from them. So I guess what this company does is just sit and be dumb.

Doug was great! I had a large electrical job. It was done fast and efficiently.Brandi - office manager kept me updated and informed! Very professional.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Decatur Heat & Air installed our system in a new build. Anytime that we would receive heavy rain, we would have a leak. The owner came out and looked at everything, installed a new boot around the vent and went on his way. Heavy rain came again, they came out and put silicone around the boot on the roof. After a few trips that they made, I decided to have another company come out to look at the issue. The findings were: ventilation piping was at a straight 90 degree angle. When the rain would come in through the pipe, it would sit at the 90 and leak out on to the sheetrock which has been replaced multiple times. When the new company was fixing the issue, they found that none of the fittings were glued which is what resulted in the water leaking out. I then emailed an invoice to Decatur Heat and Air showing them what the problem was that was mentioned on the invoice and received not one response back. We will never use Decatur Heat and Air again, and I do not ever recommend them. I highly recommend a company that will own up to their mistakes, not one who will sit in a corner and hide from the problem.

Shaun -I want to tell you I was very satisfied with the work that Decatur Heat and Air did for me this week..Michael, Dillon and James, working together, replaced one complete system in one house, and pulled the “A” coil and serviced and reinstalled on another, not wasting any time, but doing me a very professional job!!The work was scheduled last week (as agreed to because this was not an emergency repair) and done just as planned.As with any good service Team, the Home Office staff is critical to everything falling in place. BOTH Brandi and Jessica visited with me at various times to provide me with the equipment and service quotes, aas well as scheduling this work.Thank you for providing the Decatur area with good technicians that care about the quality of their work!!!Kerry G.

Called this company to repair our A/C (No A/C and broken specific parts). Came out on THURS May 26th and provided diagnosis and was told they would order part (2 days) and be in touch -knowing it was a holiday weekend, we waited until Tuesday May 31st to make contact, to which we were met with NO part had been ordered and they HAD NO idea we still had no A/C. We were told that they would have to contact the parts to get a quote and it would be two more days before being scheduled. When I called back to leave a message for management, no call was returned, even though their answering service assured me they would mark it URGENT. - its was 11 am on Tuesday - when the answering service picked up. Hilariously, days later a routine scheduled appointment with the same company was questioned why we cancelled. BAD SERVICE, BAD MANAGEMENT, UNBELIEVEABLE.

What a great company to deal with. The owner, office staff, and technician were all professional and communicated in a timely manner. I had struggled with a few other companies, notably the one that installed my new unit. Decatur Heat and Air had a sense of urgency and went above and beyond to take care of us. We are customers for life.

We scheduled an appointment to have our new shop ac checked for its initial service. The day of our appointment no one shows up and no one calls. We call them and were told they were busy and would call us back to reschedule…no one ever called back and it had been over a week!!! My husband called again and the lady was extremely rude and said they wouldn’t help us. The same day we called AryCo heat and air and they came out the same day and were a much more professional company. Do yourself a favor and just call AryCo.Also you aren’t seeing my name in your system because this is my maiden name. Trust me we had an appointment and your business wasted our time. We could have had a working air conditioner 2 weeks ago if your business wouldn’t have given us the run around. Nothing worse then being stood up!!!

Wrong DiagnosisI cannot recommend this company. (I am a retired Industrial Shop Teacher)You need to be aware of the all the upfront costs just to come out to your house. $78.00 just to come out, $78.00 for diagnosis (Non-refundable) you get a text from the company with all the inflated costs. The tech said it was the main board (wrong) and it would be another $35.00 to return and extra to install total cost approx, $900.00.I called another company no upfront costs and he fixed it for $150.00, It wasnt the board which they charge extra just to pick it up because it wasnt in shop. Im already out $156.00 just to be told it was the wrong part.Make sure you shop around, too the person who does not have the background knowledge your at their mercy.

This company has done all the work on my home since it was built. The serviceman Josh is awesome. Hes considerate an always a pleasure to get maintenance tips to keep things running well. I would highly recommend these guys.

This afternoon 2 gentlemen from your company, Michael & Dylan, came to my rent house to repair my AC. The inside temp of my house was 97 degrees and the house was 105. They worked for several hours outside and under the house - encountering several snake skins along the way. Throughout the horrible working conditions, they maintained their manners and their professionalism. To say that I was impressed, is beyond words. When they left, it was well after 5 and I even offered them a few beers to which they politely declined. Great guys!

Fairly prompt service, friendly enough. Cost I believe was excessive. $325 to evac a minisplit and vacuum lines (and only needed because there is no way to know how much refrigerant is needed) system only take 6 pounds total.+ cost of freon added 3lbs+$80 diagnostic/ service fee that doesnt come off your total bill like most places, you pay it no matter what on top of everything- funny side note there was no diagnostics I told them exactly what the issue was and why.so total almost $500 for 3lbs of r410a and a little over an hours work.- They were available quickly after calling, came when they said they would, and fixed my problem, no complaints in that department.*Edit after response from owner-1 star removed for condescending disingenuous response from owner.My review was honest, fair and factual, I also dont appreciate you disclosing my surname online, that is unprofessional.No full diagnostic was performed, it was not requested nor needed You charge $80 to come out for a service that cant reasonably be brought to you (home HVAC) so whatever you call it or claim it to be it is a base charge, thats your prerogative.Yes I am in charge of approving or declining charges, I didnt claim you swindled or coerced me, I simply took exception with the cost. I sometimes buy popcorn at the movie theater too, doesnt mean its a fair or reasonable price. I really needed my system charged, just like sometimes I really want some popcorn at a movie sometimes, so I pay the premium just as I did for your service.Your service was reasonably prompt and your tech was friendly and competent and arrived when he said he would (although I did have to provide a 5/16 port adapter because he didnt have one) in the contractor/service world thats 1/2 the battle anymore. But I stand by my review, your service is satisfactory albeit it comes at a premium price point.

We have called these guys for both residential and commercial services and they have been great both times. They saved us both during a summer heatwave and recently during the Texas freeze of 2021. Their staff has been professional and friendly and the repairs have been great quality. Both times they took their time to identify the problem and fix it right.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Decatur Heat and Air has always taken care of my HVAC needs and I *will* not use anyone else. Highly recommended! The technicians have always been friendly, thorough and most of all professional. They have the best office staff anyone could ask for! They recently went way above and beyond on a situation that was definitely out of the norm and unrelated to any of Decatur Heat and Airs work to help me out. I absolutely cannot thank them enough. Received a slanderous call from owner and Shawn, the owners son, because I dared question their continual lateness.Had them do a complete install ($4500). Never returned or called to check work, just sent invoice and called to see how fast they would get paid. Workers did not seem to know what they were doing. Left my place a mess. Had to call to FINALLY get warranty info and paper work.This company seemed to have a descent reputation when I checked them out, so I do not know what went wrong.The owner did leave me a voice mail apologizing for his chewing out he gave me. His son Shawn did not show such courtesy after his chewing. He seems calm until you criticize his bad customer service, then WATCH OUT!! John Davis, Boyd Tx

Buyer beware!We had Decatur Heat and Air install our unit in 2017, which came with a ten year warranty. Our a/c went out August 2021, (4 year old unit). They sent the tech over and he discovered that we needed a new motor, which should have been covered under the warranty. Nope. We had to pay $433.Now, exactly two months later, the heater doesn’t work. We called another company, they showed up in two hours. The motherboard on our unit is fried. Apparently, the wiring was backwards. Now, we need a new motherboard.We definitely DID NOT CALL Decatur Heat and Air…why? So, they can charge us another enormous fee for something that was due to bad workmanship and/or they will say is not under warranty, when it is.We have never dealt with such an unprofessional and unethical company like Decatur Heat and Air.

WOW, another great customer service experience with Decatur Heat & Air. We have used them for several years so when we moved into a new house......we knew who to call!!! Decatur Hear & Air has great techs that are knowledgeable, polite, and get the job done quickly leaving no mess behind! This visit we had the Reme-Halo RGF Air Purification System installed by the knowledgeable Tech Audie. He explained how the system works, what to expect, and how to get the most out of the system. Office staff is prompt and easy to work with. HVAC techs are great. I interacted with two of the guys; both very impressive. Possibly a bit spendy, but hassle free service makes it worthwhile. I plan to use their electrical service soon.

Bought our home 2 years ago and the A/C never really cooled well. Had 2 servicemen come out at different time from another company in the past, one saying it was fine the other saying it only needed cleaning. Called Decatur Heat & Air this time when it wouldnt even come on. Dylan was very professional, explained his findings and gave me a quote before each repair. It needed a new cable from thermostat to outside unit as the other was chewed in multiple spots, needed a new contact as old one was burnt and pitted. It was low on coolant and he checked for leaks finding multiple leaks in the coil. Upon my request, he filled the coolant so it would cool until we can get the coil replaced. It actually produces cold air for the first time in the 2 years! I couldnt be more pleased and will never call another company now that I found one whose technitions actually want to fully check things out rather than just cost us $250 to clean it. We had an unusual situation with a house we just purchased that needed new duct work. Shaun worked with us to come up with a very satisfactory and creative solution for our situation! The crew that came in over several days were super friendly, polite and respectful. They were responsive and accommodating too. I kept having different A/C and venting needs come up while working with them and Shaun was sure to accommodate each and every item. This company is really fantastic and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone who needed an A/C company. I really hope I dont have more A/C needs for a little while with my older equipment, but whenever I do - I will call them without hesitation!

Curtis and James came out and gave our mini split system a good deep cleaning after 4+ years of having it. They used a new cleaning system that was HALF THE COST of other AC companies who do not have this cleaning system. I’m very grateful for Decatur Heat & Air and will continue to use them in the future.

Called Decatur H & A yesterday. Curtis came out, checked our old unit thoroughly. He gave us a number of detailed options. We chose to replace old units. Talk about first class....Curtis & Michael came out before 9 am the next day in low 30 degree temperatures and worked until old unit was removed and new unit was in place. They were extremely cautious of carpets; used drop cloths and vacuumed upon completion. Can’t say enough about their quality service!

Was charged for work that was not done, James was sent to rectify the problem and was RUDE to my better half. The next day the A/C stopped cooling again!Called another local company and the issue fixed now and at a lower cost than this company quoted. I requested the owner call me and has yet to do so!

I have a rental property in Decatur. I have a wonderful couple that lives there with there son, and she is expecting her second child. The AC went out during a very warm day, and Decatur heat & air made room on a very busy day for them to fit them in. Very professional, will definitely always use them for future needs.

Decatur Heat & Air did a great job for me. A/C went out late on Friday afternoon. Called and spoke with Shaun. He told me that a technician would be out by noon on Saturday. They arrived early, completed the work quickly, and got my house cooling back down. Thanks so much!

I was a new customer. They came out to go over the AC systems in our house. The guy checked the systems with gauges, that is good. He checked the air handlers and said no issues. When he brought me the bill, I asked if he had already cleaned the outside units. He said he had not and they did not need cleaning, based on the head pressure. I have never had anyone service my systems and not clean the outside units.I also requested to have the capacitors checked, to ensure they were not failing. he did not check them. Very important to the starting to the motor / compressor is the health of the capacitors. Doubt I will invite them back.

Very Disappointed!!! I have used this business for at least 10 years or more, but after my last visit I will NOT use them anymore, I truly felt like the “young” man that came out was trying to take advantage of me (rip me off)!! He was basically telling me that I needed $2000 worth of repairs or need a new unit. When in Fact I just needed a few hoses blown out, and still charged me $431. Very disappointed!! After my review Decatur Heat & Air personally called me to discuss this issue with me and I will use them again.

Very courteous and right on time. It’s always stressful when the AC or furnace stops working. I always felt like my job was important to them and getting it done in a timely matter was their goal. Very happy with the job and the technicians were outstanding. Took care of me beyond my expectations.

I have used them over the years and the quality of work has gone way down. I had a inside and outside unit replaced last week and after they left I was missing about $600.00 in tools! I call to talk with there office and it took me forever to get a call back and when I did they were very hostile and I could barely get a word in! I would not recommend to them anyone!

My AC unit is 25 years old, and needed servicing the in mid-July 2018. The freon was low, and they filled it. They told me that given the age of my unit, I might need to buy a new one, but my AC stayed ice cold all summer.In late October, the AC went out again. Since it was October, I new I wasnt going to need AC for a few months, and decided to defer the expense of a new unit until 2019.In May of 2019, AC still not working. Called these guys to see if they could service the unit again, or bite the bullet and buy a new one.When they came out I asked them to see what was wrong, and told them based upon the experience of the previous summer, that I was fully expecting to cough up a few thousand for a new AC unit. After they serviced the unit, they said all I needed was a new thermostat.These are great people who know what they are doing and stand behind their work. You are crazy to call anyone else.

I had an appt set up with them between 12-3. I missed a call from them at 2:44 pm. I literally call them back 1 min later (I have the phone log, time stamped to prove this), left a message and never got a call back. An hour later, their main office calls me explaining that the tech couldn’t reach me and they had to tell him to move on. I told her that’s not true. I called back him back and left a message. I pleaded with her to see if he could come back. It’s 95 degrees and miserable! She says no and advised that they can come back the next day (Saturday) but that it’ll be an extra $250!!!!! Otherwise it would t be until the following Monday. I had already taken the day off to wait for them. I wasn’t going to do it again and I wasn’t going to pay extra $250 for something I don’t think I was completely at fault for!!!!! I called another company and had a tech out within 2 hours!

Decatur Heat & Air came out to fix an issue we had with our split unit. We had another company come out and gave us a quote of almost $2,000 but Decatur did it for under $1,000.

They came out to fix my AC unit. The tech forgot to connect a pipe and the next day i had water dripping through my ceiling. I called multiple times and sent emails to discuss this problem but they havent responded. Terrible service. I would not use them .

Absolutely refuse to come out and fix a crushed duct. Its been months. Same routine. They come up, tell us yes the duct is crushed, and they will be back in a few days to fix it. The never come back. This has happened twice. They were suppose to fix it the last time they were here, they did not. We have no AC in our room and its getting to the point we are getting sick. Our fan is not helping anymore

Our outdoor air conditioner unit fan motor began roaring as the outside air temperature went up. Curtis was the tech from Decatur Heat and Air who did a service call for this issue. We described the symptoms and let him see a video of the unit running when the temp was in the mid 90s. He asked us some very pointed questions. Based on our answers, he predicted what he would find during testing. It was just like having a doctor for air conditioners! Lo and behold, everything tested as he predicted, and he found a defective part. He also recommended, and installed, some small devices that would prevent the problem from occurring again.

As always great service. We just had our spring check up and our service man found a bad part and repaired it immediately! Great job Dylan H. Look forward to more great service!

The WORST I REPEAT WORST company... literally 5 visits and not a one has fixed anything... was told they needed a part and would arrive monday.. no one showed on Monday was told the part came in late .. now its Tuesday they day they were supposed to come and fix and I get a call stating the part should be in later today and they will be out here Wednesday to fix mean while we have been in a hot house with a newborn... its been a month that this has been going on... owner came out and literally talked on the phone to his other workers telling them he would be there to fix whatever their issues were mean while NEVER FIXING our issue... he was here a total of 10 minutes before saying things were fixed... if I could give negative stars I would.. and believe me this post is way nicer then what Im really feeling... THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD WITH ANY COMPANY I HAVE DEALT WITH!!!Oh and I forgot... they took our air filters and did not replace them with new ones... they didnt even tell me the filter size so we could buy some on our own.. so when the girl called and I told her they need to replace the filters they took she seemed highly annoyed especially when I told her I didnt know the filter sizes..

They were on time and had my AC unit up in no time. Did not try to up sell me on anything. Just a good honest company. Recommend them highly.

Not trust worthy sold we two capacitors either of them where right parts and I have solid proof in writing a and pictures of my capacitor I can prove they where un-ethical and took us for 100 dollars do not trust this company
