Krystian is not qualified for this position. She lied numerous times, was unorganized, and her communication skills were awful. She bragged about crying to investor to try and get loan accomplished. I have now lost my earnest money as well as the inspection and appraisal money. Waste of $2800. Not to mention the 2 MONTHS they couldnt get my lian to close. Avoid her at all costs

Kim McCarthy is who a friend recommended to go through for our FHA home loan approval. We first wanted to buy during Summer 2020. After running our credit there were a few things we had to work on in order to get approved, and I wasn’t quite sure where to start. Kim discussed with me what she thought was best to help raise our scores, and even advised us what NOT to do. February 2021 rolled around, and we were finally pre-approved in 7 months! That began the journey, a long one to say the least. After many months of home visits, we couldn’t find a home, that felt like “home.” So we decided to purchase the residence we currently lived in that was owned by family. A very much different process, Kim instructed us what to do, step by step, and even took matters into her own hands and had direct contact with the lawyer since our family did not want to use a realtor. Months and months of waiting on lawyer, signatures, problem sorting with the title, Kim was ON TOP of keeping everyone in line to make sure proper paperwork was turned in and completed. Finally, as of September 2021, a little over a year after keeping in contact with Kim, she pushed to close on our home JUST before we are expecting our second child. The timeliness, hard work, and determination of Kim was astounding. Even after hours she would text me (which I did not recommend because off time is your off time from work!), which showed how much she cares for her customers.

Eddie and his group were amazing! Eddie is attentive and takes the time to explain the process, as well as the paperwork, as we progress through the loan process. Southwest Funding even has their own FREE concierge service that helps with setting up utilities so that you have those scheduled by closing. They are truly amazing! You won’t regret using them!

From the first request to close was less than 4 weeks and though it was a little hectic getting info they wanted, it was a pleasure working with Gary. Getting approved was the easiest part of working with southwest. Unfortunately my agent was a little unprofessional when it came to going over our closing information, and hostile when it came to answering our questions. We were told one thing from him just to see something different on paper. So fully check on what you’re getting yourself into. It’s been months since we closed on our property, but still have a pending compensation with them. Every time I try to contact my agent is to the point that he probably blocked my number, and had to depend on my realtor to get some answers from him since he’s the one that recommended me. All I want it was a straight response such as “yes, no or for this day” and all I got was “I’ll call you back”. We’re first time home owners and love our property but very stressful process with our loan process.

Jason was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had. His friendly service made us feel comfortable in a long and stressful process and continually reassured us that he was there to help with any issues we might have.

We had been turned down by a couple of lenders, so we figured we just wouldnt qualify for a mortgage. At least not right now. Then we found Jeff at Southwest Funding. He looked at our overall situation and said that he could get us a loan. We were like, great! but also cautiously optimistic. Kept thinking something would come up and we wouldnt qualify. Our situation was, lets just say, not typical with our credit. I think what Jeff did for us was manual underwriting and he really went out of his way to help us. Not sure, but I feel like he pulled a lot of strings for us that others couldnt or just didnt want to. highly recommend Jeff Schraeder!

Ummm where to begin. Iam a real estate investor and a licensed loan officer and this is far none the worse experience I’ve ever encountered of my 15 years of being in Real Estate. I listed a house for sale and the buyer is using this lender, it’s been 2 months and they still can’t close the loan. Right before the first closing title realized i haven’t held title for 90 days and was not told buyer was using a FHA loan. We terminated the contract and was told it can be done in 2 weeks being everything was already completed. 45 days later they still can’t close the loan. I had to get involved to get file moving and even after the closing date came and went no sense of urgency to want to close the loan. If your in the market to buy or sell and you see this company in the paperwork do yourself a favor don’t accept the contract. I decided to terminate the contract and wasted 2 months waiting for this lender to try to close the loan.

Joe is an extremely knowledgeable and organized loan officer. This is my third home loan, second with Joe. He knows what is needed to close and is always way out in front of any potential issues, which prevents any delays in the process, and ensures an on time closing from his end. Joes communication skills are second to none. He can work with anyone, from a first time buyer who is lost in the terminology, or a veteran who understands every facet of the process and needs someone who can keep up. I recommend him to everyone and am completely confident that Ill never have to shop for another lender.

I have been a realtor for 7 years and am also a real estate investor. I have not had more panic and anxiety over a mortgage processs in all these years. I would stop doing real estate before I have to deal with them again. Before I started the loan I emphasized that the builder is very strict on closing date and I have to pay penalty per day if I dont close on time. They said my file was straight forward. They took about 10 days even to apply my certificate of Eligibility. After 30 days on loan process I get a message that they overlooked a VA change and need more documents for my wifes job. I get a rate extension letter twice with me paying for the extension even without discussing anything with me I dont know till this date for how many days those extensions were for. Even after the initial disclosure went out I get request for documentation four different times because they missed things yet again and or underwriter asked for more documentation. Keep in mind that I talked to the lender about getting things through underwriting even before appraisal came in so that we catch everything, that was promised but never happened. The closing date gets moved few times because the they missed to catch mistake in the documents and or needed more document. I came to know at closing that I somehow had to pay .30 points for rate lock when they promised that they will match the rate with another company. Here I am paying extra $2066 for extension that had nothing to do with or VA and pleading everyday to builder not to cancel my contract. I was thankfully able to plead to the builder not to charge extra $100 a day hold over cost that would have costed me extra $1500(paying for it in case of closing delay was in the contract). Also no one went over the final closing disclosure with me despite the lender telling me that he will go over the costs breakdown after the final Closing Disclosure was issued. On the morning of the closing I found that I had points bought when the lender promised to match the rate at no cost to me, I had to pay that cost at the end . I got help/ communication from the mortgage originator but it was mostly reactive help after things went south. I would suggest everyone to run away from this company.Thank god my mortgage closed after two extensions. I would leave real estate before I have to deal with so much stress.

I was a sellers agent on a transaction that Trey Moore at Southwest funding was the lender for the buyer. Initial interview with Trey I asked if their were any conditions with buyer that would delay closing and he responded no. After 2 extensions and continued reassurances of pending approval loan did not close was told by buyers agent that it was because of something lender over looked. To make matters worse Trey stopped communicating with me and would not return texts or calls. I contacted Yvette the compliance person at Southwest and Marty Treys superior to try to get some help again only received emails from her and very little to zero help and Marty would not answer calls. Never would I recommend using Southwest Funding. I have been a Realtor since 1978.
