Very friendly and professional team of guys.Alfredo was very thorough with his heater tune up, despite it being a very very old one and gathered enough evidence in a professional manner to help guide me to my decision to replace it for safety reasons.I already knew it was gonna have to happen eventually, but after his job well done it was discovered sooner was better and safer than later.He was able to get me sorted and today(the next day) the guys are at work!Everyone is very well mannered and kind. 😊

The work included replacing the condensate pipe, repairing the drip pan, insulating parts, and fixing wiring, all of which were completed efficiently and professionally.Not only was the work done to the highest standards, but the communication and attention to detail were also exceptional. Ryan ensured everything was in perfect working condition before leaving and provided clear documentation, including photos, which were incredibly helpful. Great service. Called company and got same day service for my heat. Was very grateful. Heat went out on one of the coldest days of the year. Tech came out worked so fast and efficiently. Also had a smile on his face. Would use them again and again.

This company in my opinion is shady!!! In October they charged my $4800 to replace my leaky coil on my unit. After taking the unit out it appeared rusted and looked as if it had been leaking for years. BUT I have their maintenance plan and they were at my house in August because the unit froze up according to the tech. So yesterday they came to due the furnace and the tech said that the ignitor wasnt heating properly. I asked how much it would cost to repair it? The tech said $586 I asked why so much when the ignitor only cost about $40-50? He answer was I dont make the prices I told him to just put it back and Ill change it myself. I proceeded to call the manager but he wasnt in the office but I didnt receive a call back. I called again today and he was still out of the office. I later got a call from a guy claiming to be the owner. I explained to him that I believe they were jacking up the price, he told me thats the price of doing business and that he had to pay his techs and pay for operating cost for the company. I have no problem with paying for labor but $586 for a $40 part =$546 in labor for a 10 minute job. I told him I would never use his company again. He asked if there was anything he could do to keep me as a customer, I told him I dont trust your company to give me a fair rate and I would never do business with them again.Please get a 2nd opinion if you choose to use this company

We are Right Choice club members, and we have had an excellent experience with them every time they have been here. This time was no different. Our HVAC system stopped working so we thought it may need refrigerant and called them for service. Randy, our service tech diagnosed a bad blower motor on a 4 year old air handler. We initially decided to have the work covered by our home warranty service, but that is a story for another time about a different HVAC service company. When it became clear we wouldn’t be working with that company, I reconnected with Randy at Right Choice. He was able to get the work covered under the manufacturer’s warranty and just finished replacing the blower motor. Everything is working great as expected! Randy was also able to fix the root cause of the motor failure so that this won’t happen again. He does great work!From the install of our mini-split in the garage through this most recent repair, it is obvious we made the Right Choice using this company! See what I did there?

Use this company at your own risk. I was sold a brand new air handler in the attic because it was suggested that just cleaning the coils etc would be almost as expensive as a new unit, this was in 2023. I signed up for the maintenance plan along with the duct cleaning service that took over 6 months to complete due to re-scheduling and equipment problems. They actually tried to show up at 7 pm for a 4 hour job. 6 months later our scheduled maintenance service is due and when the tech completes the service he tells us it is not operating properly the pressure is too low, sounds like a warranty issue to me but then Im told the plenim that was installed on the unit was incorrect size and not in the original price of the unit. My reply was why was it installed incorrectly in the first place! So in order to fix my problem they quoted me another $2400 to fix and then took 5 months getting back to me and offered to install at half price. This is not how business should be handled, they should have taken care of this it was their mistake.Would not recommend.

Our aircon was fixed quickly by the fully equipped tech who showed up at our house. It resumed working in less than an hour.

My heater wasn’t heating properly. They sent someone out the same day who fixed the problem immediately. They also put together a maintenance list for me to address, if/when I wanted to going forward. Great service. I will have them back.

Update!! The repair they completed is once again NOT WORKING!! I cannot express strongly enough…… DO. NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They hire inexperienced technicians who do not correctly fix issues, we had to have them come back 4 times for the same problem in less than 8 months and they charged us each time until the last when an actual true plumber (David) came out and saved us from having a pipe explode due to their prior incorrect repairs (which they don’t warranty whether they actually fix it right or not) They set appointments, show up without the tools and then try to collect a service fee even though THEY didn’t have what was needed. The owner or President is condescending and frankly rude and disrespectful to customers and seniors and they lack any customer service or common sense. I’ve used them for 10 years for ALL MY HVAC and PLUMBING, done every repair recommended all service and never again, they have become a second rate company so sad that the last decent company is no more.

Im not sure who came up with the name Right Choice. They have been Wrong Choice since putting in our units. They didnt get permits, left wires hanging out by the outside unit. Weve had more problems than enough with this company. We had to go to TDLR and the city because we found out they hadnt got the permits to put the units in. The city red tagged them. Right (Wrong) Choice came out and fixed the problem once the city got involved. However, because we have a parts and labor warranty with them, which was included in the price of the units, we still call them to do maintenance. Until the warranty runs out, we cannot use any legitimate HVAC company. I must add, they dont maintain ANYTHING. We hate to call them because the units work better before they come to do maintenance than after they come. Make it make sense. It seems like they are trying to destroy the units because the warranty will be running out soon and because we put a ding on their reputation with TDLR. Well, theyre going to get another ding on their reputation. They are just...SORRY!So, we called them out to do maintenance on the systems. Now, all of a sudden the downstairs unit needs a compressor. They came out today to put in a compressor around 3:00 pm, I think it was. I received a text message from my husband saying it was 8:52 PM and they were still here. JUST SORRY! While putting the compressor in, they broke our Ecobee thermostat and commenced to put another thermostat in that they had in the truck, which was nowhere near comparable to the Ecobee they took out. THEN, they walked out without fixing anything and didnt even let my husband know they were gone. Where is the ecobee thermostat? Its not theirs. Anyway, needless, to say we are still without air. Make it make sense! I CAN HARDLY STAND DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE COMPLETE FAILURES on so many levels, new management or not. If I was a betting person, Id bet they would never win a competition for who was the best HVAC company. It seems to me theyve been working so hard to SEEK and DESTROY that they probably wouldnt know how to win the challenge. Almost every visit has ended with FAILURE and CHAOS! This is the last year of the warranty and they seem to be trying everything to destroy our units. Did I mention, I CAN HARDLY STAND DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Until next year, whenever they come cameras will be on them for submission to court. They dont like working with the camera on them probably because it shows that are not capable of fixing the problem. Or, that theyre scammers.I will be submitting a review here every week (or maybe everyday) until our units are completely fixed and until they provide a thermostat comparable to the one we had. I cant stand dealing with this company.So, the saga continues...SMH11.26.2024Well, as I said before, the saga continues. And how about our warranty doesnt end until 2026. This is such a sad situation and for no reason. They are supposed to be replacing a compressor and a coil. BTW, its always a problem with BOTH units. Every time they come, there ends up being a problem with something else. Now, its the thermostat AGAIN! They cant get the thermostat to come on for the air conditioner. REALLY!!!? It was working before. Watch they say they have to come back next week...after Thanksgiving. Dont ever get parts and labor warranty because you continue to pay for it somehow or another. SMH. Bless their hearts. Im convinced theyll never get it right. Maybe they need to change their name to Wrong Choice or Absolutely Wrong Choice. My husband says give them a chance to fix it before I post a review. Im posting anyway because no one would believe my prediction afterwards. This was my second time using this company in a manner of a couples weeks. Service is balance as balance can be. Tech didnt rush and talked me through it as if he was giving me a 101 class so to speak. Great company.

Our air conditioner fan was not spinning and I was devastated since its a fairly new purchase.Mr. Coby Beam was knowledgeable and found the problem in seconds. Ryan was very helpful and informative. I was unaware that The Right Choice is only an HVAC company. They install units only. My install needed services BEYOND that. Duct work, insulation and repair was needed in order for my unit to run efficiently. I appreciate how thorough he was advising what was needed to support this brand new unit. So now, I’m needing to hire someone to take on job #2. He did send over an invoice for this additional work however they work with an outside vendor in which I can shop around for myself. If you want a service tech to care about your hard-earned money….. I pray you’ll get Ryan. A total of 11+ technicians came to my home and everyone said something different. However, the unit was installed properly BUT they did not look beyond the install. Thank You Ryan for your due diligence!!! I hope I can work with you in the future!

Randy with The Right Choice HVAC Service Company, showed up on time and he went straight to diagnosing the problem with the HVAC. Once he figured out the mechanical issue, he gave me three possible options for repairs. I felt that the company’s pricing was fair and he helped with selecting a new system online with financing. Overall, Randy did a fantastic job and he represented his company well and professionally. I am a member now and will continue working with them.

I had an appointment window between 2 and 4. I understand that sometimes things take longer than planned. I called at 4:07. They said they were still coming. It’s now after 6. No one showed up or let me know they weren’t coming. Im very frustrated. If you couldnt come, you should have let me know. Not the right choice for me.

I am extremely satisfied with Alfredo Ramos and the service that he provided. Mr. Ramos is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate about his work. He really took his time inspecting my HVAC system and took time to explain all of his findings. He made recommendations to fix the issues he found and to prolong the life of my HVAC system. He told me he would research the history of my system to make sure his recommendations were the best course of action for my system and that he would call me back the next day with is findings and he actually called me back. My experience with Mr. Ramos has been the best with The Right Choice.

Cannot rate a zero so I have to at least use a one star. I have been with this company for a couple of years now and it has to be one of the worst I have ever delt with. Lets just say the old unit I had in the house since 1993 worked better. I had to change it due to the system was old and it finally kicked the boot. The first time for install it went decently and actually cooled my house the way it was meant to be. After the first couple of days, I had to call the technician back as the system stopped and was told I needed some adjustments. In a period of less than a year I had already had the technician out 6 times. One even didnt like the fact I told him what I knew the issue was and he fixed something else. (Im a mechanic and its not hard to identify with specific sounds.) After a year I had them back out again and another component needed to be fixed. Unfortunately it cost me an extra 400 in my electric bill. Not even a few months later have had them back out again. Thankfully I didnt have to pay the multiple technician visits. So now I back to the expenses that I have taken on due to the stupid mistake of going with this company. I am not well off and cannot just have another company come in and replace this unit. Since starting with this company I pay an average of 200.00-250.00 more in my electric bill. It is unfortunate I have to call them back out again. I wonder about some of the mechanics. They do a rush job and believe their qualifications are just pencil whipped. Stay away from this company!!!!

BEWARE...We were quoted an astronomical amount of money for a basic leak, they refused to give a price breakdown as to why the cost was so high, gave us the runaround about driving to get parts, etc. We called another plumbing company for a 2nd opinion and was quoted $600 less than what this company quoted. The other plumbing company also gave us an honest breakdown of the cost and exactly what the issue was and fixed our leak within a few minutes.

TX heat exceeded 105 degrees over 27 days and my outside unit was on life support and squealing. I secured 3 different quotes. I choose The Right Choice initially because of the professionalism, knowledgeable and willingness to answer all of my questions and concerns. I just felt valued as a potential customer. Subsequently I called and advised I would be going with his company and they promised installation for the next day and bright and early my 2 techs showed up and it’s been heaven on earth ever since. Financing was arranged to my satisfaction and the completed job was left very tidy. Thanks guys I certainly made THE RIGHT CHOICE.

Our heater stopped working during winter and we immediately called the company. The technicians came the next day and now my heater functions just fine

First rate service. Showed up in evening during a multiple day freeze. Im sure his day was a long difficult one as we were last on his list. No heat. Never the less, great attitude, courteous. Problem turned out to be outside his licensed skill (electrical) but his precise troubleshooting and explanation saved me huge amount on the resulting electrical repair. Honest company.

Alfredo Ramos was great at explaining everything to me in detail and with patience. The wiring system in my furnace and AC was burnt because of misconnections and loose connections on the contactors, as well as a malfunctioning transformer. He finished his tasks quickly and skillfully.

This is, without a doubt, the WORST company you could ever hire to do any kind of AC related work. The complete lack of regard for the clients, the lying/deceptive business practices, the tech’s that drink on the job and then leave the trash by the unit for the homeowner to clean up- honestly, it’s the shotty work altogether! There isn’t a single shred of integrity with this company or its managment. PLEASE choose anyone else. Anyone. Run very far away from anything this company touches. They will lie through their teeth to get their foot in the door and then drag you through consumer hell. If you do end up choosing them for work please have the number for a good attorney in your back pocket- you’re going to need it. Double check everything they tell you against other industry professionals.

Abel completed a summer checkup on our ac unit. He seemed smart and knowledgeable. He explained what he looked for and why. He also gave us tips on certain items to monitor to extend the life of the unit.

Will not use again. The technician was friendly and prompt. He explained the work he was doing and let me watch. He pronounced the furnace dead and quoted me a replacement unit. A $30 part fixed the furnace.When summer came, another service call was needed to fix the A.C. The different company merely flipped on the outdoor compressor power switch mentioning this as a possible tactic by wintertime techs to ensure a summertime service call. I dont know that I believe that it was deliberate but it would tie into the constant marketing that I receive from The Right Stuff. They will not leave me alone.

My house temp started increasing last night since 5 and went to 80 degrees before we called The Right Choice at 9 pm. Ryan Okashi was dispatched the next morning and arrived at 8:17am. Right Choices response time was perfect. Ryan was amazing. He provided a solution and my air was up and running by 11:30am. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. The Right Choice is definitely The Wrong Choice. Purchased a brand new home in 2021 with a dual A/C unit in the attic. A salesman con artist told us the builder installed the wrong unit. We had the unit replaced at his suggestion in the amount of $5K. He told us he would provide a letter I could give the home builder stating the wrong unit was installed. After many phone calls and emails I learned he was no longer with the company.The new management did finally give me a call. He was going to look into it and get back with me. Still waiting after a month.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

First, I really must apologize to James Snyder who performed a great service for me. TRCH&A kept sending me requests to complete the review which I knew I had. Well, I found out today that I completed a review for a different AC company because the review was so liked. Im sorry James but better late than never. James was very professional and has great people skills. He came in, didnt try to sell me anything just wanted to fix the issue. He attempted multiple scenarios until he located the problem and Wala!! My AC was running properly, and my home was cooling again, I have not had any issues to this day. Since becoming a member, I have had 5 maintenance services from this company and have been satisfied with most of them, if I was not , they would send someone else right out asap and my issue was resolved. I certainly will refer them as often as I can. The Right Choice Heating and Air is a great company to do business with! James stay exactly who you are and dont change. You will go far sir!!!.

Right Choice has been absolutely fantastic. I first reached out to have them replace a broken thermostat, then they did maintenance on my HVAC to prepare for summer and it was discovered I had faulty coils which were still under warranty. The coils have now been replaced. Everyone has made it so easy and they are all so friendly, competent, and on time with great prices. I highly recommend them for maintenance and repairs. Shout out to Antonio, Justin and Matt who were out here replacing the coils. Great job!

Company are salesmen first, repairmen second. Will do everything they can to try to add one more charge to your service call. (Oops! Your fan motor needs a compressor because ((we))cant replace the motor with a similar one. ((even though I bought one from a local store only 20 minutes away with no issues and did it myself)) Oh. You dont want to do that? Maybe you want to buy an AC unit from us instead?) When you dont accept any of their ridiculously upmarked services ( 350+ for a 13 dollar capacitor, etc ), then you get customer serviced to death. (repeatedly texted to follow up to try to beg you to spend money)Then, repeatedly texts you begging you for surveys. Then will call you before 9 AM to ask you to take a survey. That was the final straw with this company.If you want to spend excessively, and be annoyed every second thereafter, this is the company to go with. Their pricing is EXTREMELY predatory, and if you decide to not use them for their services, they will continue to text and call the hell out of you.

Alfredo Ramos was a great tech. He was prompt, respectful, friendly, informative and patient. He answered all of my questions and worked in a timely fashion.

I called The Right Choice Heating and Air to do a check up on my units. Both units were working when they arrived on Wednesday June 28. The technician told me that I should replace the four capacitors because they were old and were not registering adequate voltage. I agreed and was charged $333 for each one. I also agreed to sign up for their club membership for $216 annually which would give me two check ups per year and discounted labor and parts on any repairs. I never went upstairs again after the technician left. On Saturday, July 1, my son went upstairs and told me that the air was not working. I called for the tech to return. He came back on Sunday, July 2, and said that our thermostat was bad. He replaced it and charged $507. The unit still was not working, and he then said that the main board was out, and it would cost $1,200 to replace it. However, due to the age of the unit, he advised that we should consider replacing the unit completely and that someone from their office would call on Monday with a quote. The tech left, and my unit was not working. By Wednesday, we still had not heard anything from them, and called another company to check our unit. This technician said that the thermostat was not the right one for our system. It required direct power to the thermostat which we did not have. Only a thermostat that used batteries for power would work. We changed out the thermostat, and the unit started working again. I called The Right Choice with my complaint and requested that they come pick up the thermostat and refund my money for the $507 and $216 that I paid for the club membership. I also requested a refund for the labor charged to put in the capacitors, but was told there was no labor charged to me. I found these same capacitors on the internet for less than $30. I would say there was definitely a labor charge in the $333 that I paid for each one. I received a $723 refund check when another tech picked up the thermostat, and chalked up the $1,332 paid for the capacitors as an expensive lesson learned to do more research next time.

Ryan was willing to turn around from being almost home to come back and service my air conditioner late on a Friday evening after a full day of other service orders. He was there until 10 at night making sure everything was in proper working order. He then called me a few days later to follow up and make sure everything was still working properly. We hired The Right Choice to replace an old HVAC unit and to install a tankless water heater. They also expanded the entrance to the attic and installed a drop-down ladder to allow the technicians to access that space for installation. We did ask if permits were required for any of this work; they said no. From the beginning, there were issues. We were told that the hole to the attic could be no larger than 14 in any direction without compromising the structural integrity of our roof and ceiling, which greatly limited the type of unit that could be installed. On the day of the attic door expansion, the contractor sawed through multiple beams installing a door that was more like 24 x 36, a far cry from the 14 door we had discussed. We did have some sagging in that part of the ceiling, which was, fortunately, corrected by a carpenter several months later. With the door in place, the water heater and HVAC installation began. This process took a LONG time - it was at least two months before all of the units were operable and RC has not actually finished the installation of the HVAC unit (2 years later!), although I have contacted them multiple times to complete the project. Both units work well, but the installation was not up to code. When we had further work done in that part of the house, the citys code enforcement required changes and additions resulting in $3,000 of plumbing bills just to fix what was done improperly by RC. This was an unexpected expense, to say the least, and a startling discovery for us given the nature of the infractions. Overall, we had such a painful experience and though we have tried many times to work with this company, we have been so disappointed.

This is definitely the company youre looking for! The dispatchers Katie and Kristen were great. David Nieves came out to my home promptly to address issues that were found during a home inspection. David immediately recognized the severity of the situation. Prior to David assessing the situation we had no idea that carbon monoxide was venting directly into our attic! Im so thankful that David came out when he did, and immediately began scheduling our repairs for the next day. This company is amazing and truly cares about the safety and well-being of their clients. I highly recommend!

Prefacing this review with the fact that our technician was professional, knowledgeable and courteous.The company failed to give/communicate an accurate window of arrival, so bad that the window was originally 2 hours and they arrived 3.5 hours after the window had closed. Worst part of this company is how much they price gouge for the system they would be installed. I had a quote for a basic heat pump and air handler install for a 1500 sq foot house be almost twice what other companies were quoting. This after being eligible for the Oncor discount (looks like the company has built the discount into their price) so there is no benefit to the consumer. I may not be able to speak on the quality of this company, but I can speak to the value that they provide and I can say that it is not worth what they are charging. Be weary of how much things actually cost vs how much the company charges. (The company did offer a very small discount off the total price for being late)

We had them come out a couple times last year to fix our company AC. When it went out again this year, we decided it was time to replace it. Called no less than 5 times, told each time they would get the tech to release the quote for a new unit and get back to us that day. Nothing. Ever. Over at least a five week span. I have never tried so hard to give someone a ton of money. Finally had to move on to a new company.

Had a water leak coming from the attic. Brought in a couple of HVAC companies to take a look, both rushed to tell me that the leak comes from the plumbing and not AC, charged me a service fee.I was referred by a friend to The Right Choice, the technician was very professional, crawled throughout the attic until he found the source of the leak.I received a fair quote and was scheduled the work to be done several days later.There was a little confusion around the appointment time but the manager called to apologize and made sure the technician will be there the next morning.Great resolution of a human error situation.

Their technician came to my home and checked my AC unit and told me that the AC compressor is bad and they charge me a diagnostic fee of $130 so fortunately I didn’t listen to them and ask another experienced AC guy which was also technician he came and cleaned up the unit and it’s working fine no problem their diagnostic technician knew nothing about AC unit , I was almost losing $4000 and ended up fixing it for $400.Updated 8/31Regarding my experience Customer Service did reach out and followed up and started refund diagnostics charges . Our AC wasn’t cooling the house enough. We called the Right Choice and Randy came out, inspected the AC, found a leak, and fixed. The work was also warrantied in case the same leak comes back

This company has been more than patient with me in the process of financing my own project for a complete HVAC system install. I got a quote from them back in December 2021 and again in December 2022. They submitted a bid and was very patient with NACA who held the funds in escrow. They arrived in the afternoon and was finished around 5 pm. I used this company previously for maintenance and repair about a year ago, so this is not my first experience with them.

My technician Andrew took the time to ask questions, understand the issue and then proceeded to make the repair. He was efficient and timely. Walked me through the maintenance needed and was courteous, patient and professional. We were back up and running in 30 mins. I was so impressed I bought a maintenance contract for both units in my house.

This review is regarding the customer service I received by Natalie. Ive been a customer of TRC since 2018. Natalie has always made me feel like I was a valued friend of the company. She greeted my call with Hi Ms. Murphy! Recently, I was disappointed in some discoveries based on the services received in August that made me question the past services and thats not to say good or bad of the recent service. However, I was very uneasy about the experience and left a message for the Operational Mgr to call me back which I have yet to received. Very unusual. As I was getting ready to write just the opposite type review, I decided to call and ask for Natalie, not sure if she was still with the company bc of all the transitions. Left a message for her to call me back which she did right away. It felt so good to hear a familiar voice that I know I could rely on. As always, she listened thoroughly, understood why I had concerns, cleared up some miscommunication, assured me that they have all my service history and records so they know how serious I am about the care of my unit. She told me about the new manager and his ideas in taking services to the level which I liked what I heard. Additionally, she said she would followup regarding my call back from mgr. TRC, these representatives are the first faces (voices) of your company for most and for me it can make all the.difference.
