I submitted my AHS warranty request at 7:15p on Sunday. Ac Wizard responded almost immediately and told me a tech would be out between 10a--2p the next day. Josh showed up around 11a Monday and correctly diagnosed my heater problem as a faulty igniter. He had a new one on the truck, swapped it out and got me back in service within 30 minutes of his arrival. Fast, professional and friendly. Well done, Wiz.
A technician from AC Wizard came to my home for a free tune-up service through American Home Shield (AHS). During the job, he accidentally broke a part of my system and attempted a temporary fix using glue. I insisted on a permanent solution and a proper part replacement. When he returned, he didn’t bring the replacement part as promised but tried a stronger glue instead, which also failed.Frustrated, I filed a complaint with AHS, and the technician eventually agreed to replace the part. He returned with the replacement and installed it, but it was done with much difficulty. Fast forward six days (today), I began smelling gas in my bedroom whenever I turned on the heating system. I called AC Wizard to address the issue, but despite the technician offering a 30-day warranty for his work, the company insisted I needed a new work order to fix their mess. Now, I’ve had to create a new work order with AHS and requested a different vendor. My system was working perfectly fine before this tune-up service, and AC Wizard not only failed to complete the tune-up but also caused more damage with their inexperienced technician. I absolutely do not recommend them!
When we contacted American Home Shield on a Sunday afternoon we heard AC Wizard would be giving us a call to schedule a central AC repair. Within 15 minutes of AC Wizard opening on Monday morning we received a call to schedule same day! Josh came out that afternoon and was very honest about the work that needed to be done and was upfront about costs that would or wouldnt be covered by the warranty. He took the time to really educate us about the system, what the problem was, and how not getting the problem fixed properly could effect us in the future. We couldnt recommend this company more and honestly dont understand all the negative reviews. And yes this is a real person and I was not paid for this review lol. Thanks Josh for giving us a good laugh and your honesty! - Matleena and Adam Leslie
Recently had our entire HVAC system replaced by AC wizard, not only did the techs do a great install job, the back end of the sale has been fantastic. If you are needing work done look no further!
Be awareI selected this contractor from American Home shield due to all the good reviews, but the truth is that they were very dishonest and the customer representative Valerie was rude and a liar. AHS approved the replacement of the AC evaporator coil, but they gave an estimate of $4,080 for the modifications needed for this fix, when I called them they said they had to replace all other things for the coil to work, like if it was the first time my AC breaks. 2 years ago I had the same problem and AHS assigned a different contractor, while they also tried to sell me a new system, they did not lie about it and only charged me for the refrigerant.
AC Wizard worked on my unit 3 times through my home owners warranty. Each repair lasted a week. The last repair was compressor change out. The unit lost refrigerant in less than a month. I asked Valerie in the office if they did a leak test after the compressor was replaced and she said they do not do leak test after a replacement. Hard to understand how you can charge so much $$ for refrigerant then not even check to make sure the refrigerant holds in the system. The other odd thing was they did all the work in 1 hour after telling me it would take 4-6 hours. They were out earlier in the week and add a hard start kit to the compressor before replacing. The hard start kit install took longer than the compressor install. I tried to see if they would come out and do a leak test but they said it would $100 more dollars just to go and if there was a leak (even if the leak was from the compressor install) I would still have to pay for the refrigerant. This is a band aid AC service company and they seem to not do their due diligence. A leak test would have solved this but as Valerie said We dont do leak test after we install a compressor and add refrigerant. I received 2 other bids outside of AC wizard. Both other bids stated leak test on the line item of the compressor replacement. Went with AC Wizard due to the discount from the Home Owner Warranty. Should have just paid the extra money since we have a unit that needs several $$ of refrigerant now. AC Wizard - do a leak test after you open a system to replace a part, It is industry standard to do so.In response to Jimmy below, I had another company look at the unit today. The leak was located at the copper line your installer put in place. Clearly there was not a pressure test done. Which explains why your tech was in and out in 1 hour. You guys dropped the ball on the install. Your office person said you don’t do pressure tests and your work shows that as well.
Posting this so others do not make the same mistake. I recommend avoiding this company if possible. We used them through the home warranty, and the work done has not lasted. They replaced the entire unit and 5 months later the compressor needs to be replaced again. Fun fact: they only warrantied their product for 6 months (saved those calls and emails where they stood behind their work). This is not my first home, nor my first experience with ACs. When I look at the compressor, you can visibly see the poor work.I hope this helps.
Seemed like nice people, but they dont actually seem to care about their work. I had an issue with a duct coming apart and my home warranty brought them out to fix it. As you can see in the picture, their fix was just putting a zip tie on the ducting and called it a day. When it inevitably came free 40 days later, I tried to call to get them back out and they said since its past 30 days they cant do anything and to contact my home warranty. Home warranty said that this is an issue with AC Wizard and I had to deal with them. Extremely unhappy.
My husband and I have been A/C Wizard customers for several years and at the risk of sounding corny our experience has been magical. 😉 In all seriousness whether it’s routine maintenance or an emergency clogged air filter..some candles are exclusively for outdoors. They are always willing to help and not quick to judge. To the team at AC Wizard thank you!
Our AC tech had me sign off that they submitted my claim to my home warranty come to find out they took my signature and put it on another form I didn’t sign. They told me that my system wasn’t built properly. How would the city even had let me move into my new house without this being flagged on my inspection if they unit was not installed properly. I guess I better read up on city code because those code enforcers are all out letting people move into unsafe houses all looking for the AC to break. No- other way around- don’t trust these people at Ac wizard! They are not honest and fake claims with the home warranty companies.
Our AC had been out for 12 days because another company Heritage Air & Heat misdiagnosed a broken valve and also wanted $1100.00 for freon. We asked American Home Shield for another company to come out. They sent AC Wizard. They were very professional, thorough and patient during their troubleshooting process. It ended up being a simple fix of replacing our thermostat and was free and covered under our contact. I am so grateful for this technician, because I live in Texas and its hot and he was very honest and did such a great job. I am so grateful.
Joshua was our technician today and he did a great job! He was very professional, and really knew what he was doing, which made me feel confident. I highly recommend AC Wizard and Joshua for all your AC needs. He had a great attitude, and made me feel like I was in good hands.
Could not have had a better experience with their service technician, Josh. This young man showed up at ~5:00 p.m. withterrific attitude and demeanor on a day that it was 103 degrees outside and he still had another service call after ours. His professionalism also included listening skills. Wed had another AC company out to address our issue under a homeshield warranty and that company was on the take. Their tech reported our AC condenser unit to be fully functional when they arrived (he only stayed ~5 mins to make this determination) and they attempted to come back (2 days later) and surprise us with a near $1,000 bill for what should have been a warranty covered item (simple condenser fan motor). After we went back to the warranty company for a second opinion appeal, enter Josh from AC Wizard. AC Wizard was responsive on the initial apptmt setting and arrived within the time-band they committed to. Josh actually took the time to listen to our description of what was happening with our AC system, took the professional time to actually cycle test the system, and found the target component to indeed be malfunctioning as we reported to the homeshield company. This technician actually DID HIS JOB and had a good attitude and displayed great interpersonal skills while doing it. He had us back up and running in no time and reported accurately to the homeshield company so our part replacement was covered under warranty terms. Choose an honest and professional AC service/installation company folks. Choose AC Wizard ! My wife and I will insist on their services going forward for sure !!
This company saved us. They were a second opinion after another AC company came out and told AHS that our fan blade was bent as though someone had bent it then asked for over a thousand dollars to replace it as a non-covered expense. This was after the same company had come out weeks earlier and tried to charge us for a different non-covered expense for the same problem. AC Wizard correctly diagnosed the problem, and informed us that our fan blade was not bent, but that in fact, a capacitor was out (and that it was obvious). This was covered, they fixed it in 5 minutes flat, and the AC has been working ever since (several weeks). Thank you!!! You guys are great.
These guys are the real deal. They understand, customer service, communication and high-level expertise at affordable price. They are top on my list and deserve all five stars.
I was initially referred to AC Wizard by American Home Shield, our Home Warranty Company. AC Wizard came out and determined our Evaporator Coil had a leak and needed to be replaced. This is where the quality ended.I received my initial estimate from Michelle, but was going to have to pay for a lot of items that were not covered under my Home Warranty protection. I decided sure, as it was Hot Summer and we had 2 small children that really needed a working AC. Well I received several more phone calls from Michelle throughout the week where she informed me there would be a delay of several months in getting parts, or costs were being added to the repair because they had to modify my unit! These phone calls were not the most professional. Very little explanation was provided, especially when I began to asked questions; and no empathy was given when we finally got to our final quote that had gone up thousands of dollars! I essentially was coerced into having no choice but to agree to use their spare parts that were not made to fit my unit. Additionally, labor was only warrantied for 30 days and there was no warranty offered on parts. While waiting for my repair, I requested an estimate for a brand new system, inside and out. I had to ask for this quote several times... I expected an email with brochures, or perhaps a call from one of the Technical Sales Reps. No, I was just sent an email with one sentence that included a price. No incentive for me to upgrade to something I knew nothing about. A brand wasn’t even mentioned nor any kind of warranty information for purchasing a new unit.I lost all confidence in this vendor before the replacement/repair was made and canceled the repair. It truly felt like the more they were able to take advantage of me, the more they continued to find additional reasons to do so. I opted to go with a quality vendor and pay most of the cost out of pocket as they were not covered by AHS, however, the parts were procured and the repair was completed within 24 hours of initial contact, and it came with a full year warranty on labor and 5 year warranty on parts. I hope that if you can select another vendor, you do the same as me.
Greg was punctual, very professional and explained in detail what was wrong with the 2 units I have in my house. I highly recommend them.
AC Wizard is amazing! Our heating and cooling unit was old and not the right one for our size house. We had many quotes from other companies, but after speaking with AC Wizard, they have us a VERY fair quote and even helped us get amazing financing! They came the same week and completed the whole project in one day. Great guys that do the work, and their boss even came by a couple times to make sure everything was going smooth. Great company! I strongly recommend!!!
I had an issue with our HVAC. We used AHS warranty and they give you a choice of a few contractors. I chose AC Wizard based largely on their most recent reviews on Yelp. They did a great job. We got scheduled for a visit the next morning. The technician was on time, professional, and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem quickly. The repair required some parts to be shipped overnight. They came back the next morning and finished the repair without delay. I could not ask for anything more.
We had a great experience with this company! AHS originally sent out a different company who blamed our AC issue on our smart thermostat, we knew this wasnt the issue. Luckily they sent out AC Wizard for a second opinion. They were able to diagnose and fix the issue within 40 minutes! Gabe was great, answered all of our questions, kept his distance and was wearing mask. Definitely recommend!
My husband shared our honest experience with this company, then they responded aggressively trying to paint him as a liar.I want to start with facts. Yes we had a leak, ac wizard gave us a quote and a scheduled start date. 2 nights before the work was to begin we got a call from Michelle stating the entire scope of work and thus price had changed either delaying the work a couple months as stated by Michelle, or increasing the price by a semi estimated amount it could be more she said, with no real information or explanation given. We got a second opinion and were able to get parts that fit our unit next day without any need for modifications or additional expenses.I would like to add that MICHELLE was VERY unprofessional from start to finish, never providing the inormation asked for. I mean come on! When someone is considering replacing their ac unit in full, I expect options, quotes, stats, etc. Not a 1 line email giving an approx. price not even referencing product brand to be used! And zero waranty information given on parts and labor. She also made ME make the calls to our home warranty company while proving me ZERO information on what was being requested. She repeatedly told my husband its not my job to call, you need to, upon which the Home repair company explained they needed ac wizard to contact them and provide specific information via fax.We are basing our review off of our experience with Michelle and her lack of professionalism and lack of explanation or reasoning for the changing scope and costs, and down right refusal to do the simplest of tasks associated with her job (making phone calls, or sending faxes). Its easy to see other reviewers are having similar experiences. Maybe AC wizard management/owners need to look at their own staff, before calling customers liars. Im giving the benefit here to AC wizard, as the servicing technician seemed legit, but the middle man (Michelle, was so lazy and incompetent) lost the sale with her attitude on far more than one occasion/phone call and apparent misinformation.I do feel if AC wizard management/ownership had any professionalism what so ever, they would have contacted either myself or my husband directly to discuss their concerns with our review. And quite honestly, a move like that would have gone a long way in customer service, showing they cared enough to understand the situation or why they lost a sale and perhaps we would have even amended or removed our review, but instead here we are in a petty Google review stand off. So unprofessional.
American Home Shield sent A/C Wizard to repair my heater. They arrived the next day. Daniel just finished with my repair. He was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!! Got me up and running again. Thanks Daniel and A/C Wizard. I would definitely recommend them to anyone having HVAC issues.
Crew was on time always working they cleaned up afterwards and got the repairs done very quickly. Service was fantastic from the ladies scheduling the appointment to the men who did the work. Fantastic experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing repairs to the AC units. Repairs would have been costly but my Home Shield warranty paid 85% of the costs. Now back to feeding my new polar bears LOL
It was freezing and I made an appointment thru American Home Shield. They came out the next day and said the problem was a faulty gas cap. They were there the following day and repaired quickly and professionally. Both of the repairmen were named Greg and they were both great. The ladies that schedule were very nice too! Thank you!!!
Assigned here by our home warranty, and we were so glad we were. Initially assigned a time the next day, but they got us in the same day after a cancellation. Doug was great and spent a lot of time figuring out the problem. Had to go to Home Depot and back. A/C is back on. Thank you for timeliness, competence, and great communication.
I had to call and find out my repair wasnt going to be fixed because the tech wrote his own personal statement which stated it was a pre-existing issue before I had AHS. The AHS reps and Wizard techs need to be honest and up front with customers instead of sticking us up for monthly fees and $125 services charges knowing damn well we not going to qualify to get certain things fixed .The rep stated he wasnt confident he could do the job several times anyway because I didnt have much space to work with. But Cody n Sons did the job with no problem on the other side of my duplex .
They responded to a home warranty call I had. My thermostat wasnt working. They fixed the underlying issue and got my thermostat working again within an hour of arrival. The technician also checked lines and my outside unit, for good measure. Very satisfied with service level and timliness. Thanks, AC Wizard!
American homeshieild sent out AC wizard to fix our AC. American home shield said they were covering everything but AC wizard wanted to add all this other stuff to make money. The extras cost 2,700. The warranty said they could fix it properly without charging all of this extra cost. We are unhappy with the service from AC wizard. Update? JUly 2nd 2022. Both A1 air and American Homeshield told us that AC Wizard was trying to charge us for parts covered under our warranty. We have New Lennox ACs. Apparently our evaporator coil on our new Lennox ACs was broken and leaking. They also tried to make us replace brand new parts that had no damage or anything else wrong with them. They made a agreement with our warranty to fix our AC and according to American Homeshield broke that agreement. We found out from some of the best and largest HVAC companies that these home warranties often use crooked or small HVAC companies starting out because the decent, larger and truthful companies will not work with them. If you are going to pay a lot of money to get your AC fixed then you can also pay the less than 70 dollars to get another company to come out and give you a second opinion. We actually had 2 because we know someone who works for one of these larger HVAC companies. Both companies said AC wizard was charging us for things we did not need and for parts covered by warranty. (I have a hard time believing these other reviews on here are legit.) A! air fixed our AC for less than 1,000. All parts were covered by the new Lennox HVAC systems warranty. This is without the extra home warranty with American homeshield. A1 air does not accept home warranties of any kind. They do however honor the manufacturers warranty to replace all parts without cost, by law!
They charged me $6000 to replace coils and motor. One unit does t work still. They came the second time and said they fixed it and everything is fine some water clogging or so. Now my game room ceiling is leaking and the AC doesn’t cool and they don’t have a mechanism to be accountable and come and fix it but I need to wait till next week to get their calendar scheduleWork. There is NO accountability or guarantee for their work per this experience so far !! Now I may have to end up fixing my game room ceiling since it’s leaking.
Called warranty company at 8:30 they arrived by 10:30, replaced control board and fixed. Don’t think I’ve ever had this good experience with a home warranty. Would highly recommend these guys. They weren’t the first choice the warranty company sent out but with new feature of selecting company I found them. Two thumbs up with these guys
Gabe response time was quick, checked the whole AC system to find the issue and fixed it within half hour. This is the second time I requested work from AC Wizard and they did a great job. One for Heat other for AC. Good company with skilled trained people.
Michelle was professional and so helpful. I needed a copy of my receipt for work that was done last year on my AC. Michelle was patient and went beyond what was expected to retrieve the receipt. She forwarded the request to Jennifer, and I received a letter with my receipt attached. The letter was an added touch, and I appreciated it. This entire process took only a few hours. Michelle and Jennifer were awesome and their level of professionalism and dedication is why I gave them five stars.
Spent $1550 for two new return registers (exorbitant cost) that were supposed to match our existing returns. Install team arrived with new registers that didnt match but said they could replace the old ones to match new. They didnt have any more but said they could come back the next day. Im now being told that the cost for them to come back is $165? Why? Complete bait and switch. Again--simple thing is to match the existing (house is 4 years old and the registers are easy to get). No attention to detail. No honoring of the original quote/work order. Avoid this company at all costs. Ive now spent $1550 for mismatched registers in the same room a few feet from one another. Absurd. AC Wizard: you won the battle but I will win the war. Game on!
BBB rating less than a 2. One star only because there is nothing less to give. Dishonest, inaccurate, and simply rude. I am quite certain the positive reviews are mostly fabricated. Buyer beware!
Beware if you have American Homeshield and they send AC Wizards. Its true they charge double if not triple for services not covered by warranty. You are better off declining the service and finding a better rate elsewhere. After paying $75 for them to come out they told us we needed a damper motor and it would cost $500 for motor and installation. We called another AC specialist and they said we could buy motor on Amazon on $95 and theyd only charge us $75 to install it and do annual AC tune up.
Michael came out and was super professional and knowledgeable. Yes, he is very shy and quiet but do not let that fool you-he is very kind and knows what he is doing. Diagnosed my A/C and fixed my heater. Spent more time than I was anticipating and was very thorough even doing a full cleaning on the evaporator(?) maybe....all I know is it was filthy and he made a full effort to clean and taught me how to do it and what to use. Would def recommend! Oh-the staff at the office was very nice, too!
Was referred to them by my home warranty company. Their telephone staff were friendly and very pleasant. They called to let me know when the repair man would come and he arrived on time. The technician was very pleasant. Fixed what needed to be fixed in good time. Made a reasonable recommendation for some extra work and charged a reasonable price for it. I was very pleased with their service and signed them up to do my regular maintenance.
Used through Home Warranty, so I cannot comment on their cost of service. However, the lady I spoke with to set up an appointment was friendly and efficient, and the technician that came out clearly seemed to know what he was doing. Also their business logo is pretty cool. 10/10 would use again.
I have American Home Shield Warranty, my furnace stopped working in November, they sent a guy _Greg_ who replaced the circuit board, but did not replace the ignitor, these two have to be of the same voltage. After a few weeks, my furnace started letting cold air again, American Home Shield called AC Wizard again and the guy who came out this time Chris, to be honest, spotted the issue right away. And took the circuit board that I had with him because He needs to show it to his manager and replaced it with a new one along with a new ignitor. Do your technicians take used parts from homes? AHS is charging me again for this service another $75 for a poor job done by the previous guy. I called Valery today ACW and she did not acknowledge the issue properly and hung up before I finished talking, I called a second time and she was very dismissive with me, she needed to give the complete and accurate diagnosis to AHS simply. Is this the proper way to treat your local clientele? My family spent three cold nights due a poor job, is that fair?
ACWIZARD was professional and timely with their service. Within a day of listing a service request, I was contact by ACWIZARD with an appointment time. A gentleman named Doug helped me with my AC issues. He was personable, quick, and most of all, he produced results. As many know, Texas heat is brutal. So, I am very grateful for the assistance in fixing my AC.
I was sent to AC Wizard by AHS for a repair of my heat pump. Not only did they provide the wrong diagnosis but they tried to stick me with $2000 of extra repair costs not covered by warranty work. I would recommend anyone using this company to get a second opinion. Between the false diagnosis and the attempt to charge me extra, it is save to say that I will never use this company and I have provided AHS a bad review on them as well. Beware of this company.
AC Wizard has been doing our HVAC maintenance for some years now. They arrive on time, find any problems and make appropriate recommendations. Never had any issues with them. Use them and see for yourselves.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!I have had companies that come to your house on a Friday (and especially before a holiday) to just look at the issue to fix another day but not this company. It took a while to find the issue but worked diligently until it was discovered. I really appreciate a company that cares about their clients. I would recommend to anyone in need of AC work. Thanks so much for completing the job in one day!
AC Wizard is a fantastic Dallas AC repair company. My AC went out on the hottest day of the year at 7pm on a Saturday night and you were there to fix it in 15 minutes! 30 minutes after that my house is cool again!Very professional...very fast and the price was cheaper than any other estimate I received. You guys rock. Anyone who needs AC repair in Dallas should call you.
My home warranty company booked ACWizard for me. They were quick to contact me and scheduled an appointment for the following day. Mike was my technician, he was very professional and thourough. First good experience with an AC company.
Excellent communication with the company. Phone calls and emails about the tech arriving. The tech, Michael was professional and quick to identify the problem with my heating. He was able to repair the issue with no problem and now I have heat again!
They were dispatched through ahs.com. Came by late in the day because they have so many calls, refill the Freon, then left, didn’t mentioned freon is not covered by ahs.com. They didn’t stay around to ensure the AC system is working or not. Have to arrange another service schedule from them again, wait in queue again. When you use this contractor, make sure the system is working before you pay for the services. Keep all the records.
As a long term customer, the annual maintenance program has worked really well to make sure my systems are working their best. AC Wizard staff and technicians have always been professional and courteous.
AC Wizard came out today to fix our broken AC and did a great job. Chad Crow was our representative and I cant speak highly enough about his work and professionalism. We are a customer of American Home Shield and called at 3 AM with a broken AC. AHS tried a different company first and they couldnt come out until Monday (its Friday, 100+ degrees outside, and Im pregnant in the 3rd trimester). American Home Shield then reached out to AC Wizard to see if they could come out today, and AC Wizard had a rep here by 9:30/10 AM. Chad was friendly, professional, and quick. He let me know what the fix was and he also recommended some great maintenance programs that well consider. I recommend AC Wizard for your AC needs and will continue to call them myself.
Called my warranty company at night cause of our heater is not working, was assigned to this company, they promptly called me at 8AM and told me that theyll be sending technician between 9-12 , kept me informed about the technicians arrival, Chris was very nice and even went an extra mile explaining to my husband what went wrong. Thanks AC Wizard for getting the job done !!!
I called late one afternoon when I got home from work and found my furnace not working. The tech they sent out was super nice and checked my system and quickly found the problem. He took the time to sit down and go over everything before he started working to let me know all my options. It was so good to have heat that night....Now if only I could find an auto mechanic that was a professional as these guys are Id be set, lol!
Michael was very knowledgeable. He got to the root of the problem very quickly. He replaced the heater circuit board and lasted less than 30 minutes doing his work. Very, very pleased!
The worst. They said theyd be back Monday to replace an A/C compressor. At 10:30 am WE called in and they said some of the parts had not been approved by our home warranty company, so they werent coming out. We told them we would pay for those parts. By 1:40 still no one, and when calling in were told that the compressor was being shipped from another state. I asked if they would have it overnighted, and I would pay the fee. Was then told that they wouldnt put me on the schedule until they had the part in hand (even if FedXd??), and that regardless it would be Thursday or Friday, and perhaps later. Bad, horrible bait-and switch service. Go to Angies list - read real reviews for a GOOD contractor.
I have used this company for nearly 5 years. I have used them multiple times on multiple projects in multiple homes. They are about half the cost of the companies you find on the TV (e.g. Wilson Heating and Air), but they are much better. I was surprised that a few bad apples on here can negatively impact a great company. And always, if you have an issue, just ask to speak to the owner. I hope you have a chance to find out for yourself.
BEWARE!!!If youre using American Home Sheild and they want to send AC Wizard, request A-USAir, or ANY other company, and your out of pocket expense will be 50% less. AC Wizard jacks up their prices for repairs not covered by AHS. I complained to AHS about AC Wizards price gouging and was told they have no control over non covered pricing.
This is not a good company for any of your air conditioning works. They give me an estimate close to $1000 to fix my unit including the price of a condonser fan motor as $630.But I did some research for that product and got it from the manufactor costing only $140 and paid someone $50 to install it.What make it even worse is that today I got a call from a lady from the company saying that the $49 I paid as the estimate fee wasnt enough that I need to pay an other $50 more by phone. What a bogus business.Follow these tips for air conditioning worksGet quotes! Dont hesitate to get more than one quote for a repair once you know the problem. Given my recent experience I wouldnt be opposed to asking the AC repair man to hold on while I go into the house and make a few phone calls to get competing quotes. Its fair game to negotiate and use the competition in your favor.Research the parts. One of the things that helped me was to research the price of the parts themselves. Find a local distributor that can give you estimates. Once you have this information you can negotiate better with the air conditioning company. Try to negotiate on the service cost because this is what appears to be marked up the most. Of course question the part cost too if you find its greatly out of line with what it will cost you to go get it from a distributor.Find a trusted repair man. It may not be easy, but find a service provider others in your neighborhood have had good experience with in the past. Find out what others have paid for similar repairs and always use this information when negotiating with your repair man. Its best if you can find service providers you can trust and build long-term relationships with based on honesty and quality of service.
Company was able to get a technician out a day earlier than expected due to a cancellation. Tech was courteous. Wore a mask. Wore foot coverings to keep the house clean. Was prompt, thorough, and efficient.
First of all let me say that Mike was amazing. It was a hot long day and he patiently took care of our house at 9:30 at night. Highly recommend him.
They were great about staying in touch with me each step of the way and were able to fix the problem same day. They were very informative and helpful and offered great advice on how to keep my unit better maintained.
Used AC Wizard through AHS. Excellent communication, timely on arrival and professional. Chris resolve our problem and suggested potential improvements. Excellent service.
Always great to work with AC Wizard! We have used them multiple times, we have recommended to our residential and commercial customers as well with satisfied results!
FINALLY! An AC company who is all the way around spot on in service. Going forward I will request AHS to ONLY send AC Wizard. I have been using AUS Air for 3 years and my experience has gone down hill with the year of year.
Daniel came out and was so thorough in checking everything. He eventually found the problem which was gap in the exhaust vent. We’ve had 4 other companies come out and look yet he was persistent and found the problem!!!
Excellent service. Very professional and polite. Gave me options and explained process on getting AHS quote for coil replacement.
Horrible experience ! I will NEVER deal with them again. One of their technicians was completely inexperienced and looks like a teenager. The other one spent 4 hours and did everything he could to make AHS deny the claim.
Ive had nothing but good luck with AC wizard. The service tech that has been sent each time has been knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
Heater went out overnight.... Put in a service request with American Home Shield at 4am... Got a call at 8am from AC Wizard to schedule my same day service... Issue was fixed by 11am.... Great communication and fast and friendly service.
AC Wizard sent their tech out, and blamed a leak on the COPPER feed on dog urine!, BEWARE of this company! 12k for a new unit??? LAUGHABLE! The technician showed me where the leak was from, UNDER a metal shield!! I guess my 9 pound dog is a magician, since the leak was behind a sheld. Find a company who knows what they are talking about!
Chris came to our house from AC Wizard and replaced the AC motor . They are very prompt with calling and coming out. Thank you all for getting our air conditioner up and working in this Texas heat
