Amy has been very helpful during and after the buying process i.e. answering questions and getting back to us promptly. We are going to love living in our new home!
My previous client is happy with his new Ameritex home, and they continue to create homes of good value that check all the boxes. They often have good incentives, and quality sales and customer service reps. Thankful to Amy for staying in touch and letting me know about inventory and deals.
From my 1st inquiry for my client, Amy was amazing! Great customer service, super helpful and made the experience seamless. I will definitely look forward to working with Amy and Ameritex again
I was interested in a home in Abilene, TX made by Ameritex, with a military assignment to the area next month. My realtor and I had been speaking with the representatives to determine some details that were unclear from the listing, finally getting the information and being told that a deal could be made. I submitted an offer the same day, being told hours later that the company had sold the house out from under me to a rental agency. For a company named Ameritex, they dont seem to treat military very well, and are seriously lacking in that Texas hospitality. Reading these reviews on home quality though, it looks like I may have dodged a bullet.
Amy Frye has been really great to work with. Shes exceptionally knowledgeable and an excellent communicator! She is very professional and respectful. She treats you as if you are the most important person while communicating. Im looking forward to working with her again in the future!
Amy from Ameritex was great to work with! She was professional and provided all the information that is needed for my client to make decision. This made the process more enjoyable! Highly recommended!!!
Timely, responsive and professional are some of the words that best describe Amy. She provided stellar communications both electronically and in person. I am happy to recommend, to my client’s, that they discuss their new home build options with her.
Absolutely could NOT have done this without them! They got everything packed and unloaded so fast. Nothing moved an inch in the truck, they pack so well, and both of my huge mirrors got here in perfect condition. They did an outstanding job I will definitely be using them again for my next move. I appreciate it so much!! Y’all are the best, seriously.
In March 2021, my husband and I found a house on the market that we were interested in. The listing said the completion was the end of March. We went with our realtor to look at the property. It still needed a lot of work, so we took sometime to think about putting in an offer. I came across these exact reviews and noticed there were bad reviews about the building process and how the communication became hard after the houses were built. I brought these concerns to our realtor and she reached out to Chuck the person that was helping with the showing of the house. He was shocked that he had bad reviews with his name listed asked for screenshots and reassured those issues were under different circumstances. After a lot of thought we put in an offer on the home and placed the house under contract. With only 3 weeks left of March we predicted to close beginning of April. As time went on the builder was not in contact with any updates on the homes progress with us or our realtor. If we wanted an update our realtor would have to email Chuck and most times he was unresponsive to her. Then Texas had snow storm and we were told with product shortages the finish date would be pushed back. We understood and continued to wait. The first week of April there was still no progress, and no information as to why there was still a delay. Our loan officer was continuing to have our paperwork moving to prepare for closing. During this time the builder nor Chuck were being responsive to the information they needed. After weeks of requests the information for an appraisal was provided with the remarks that an appraisal of the property was not necessary since the home would not be done until May. Nobody had made our realtor know that the completion date had changed once again. After a few days of still not getting a response as to when construction would be done we decided to no longer move forward with the purchase of this property. When our realtor notified Chuck of this then he became responsive and called her multiple times. We requested our earnest money to be refund do to the circumstances. That was another nightmare, we provided all the information to have the check mailed over on 4/20, we received the check on 5/12. Myself and our realtor had to email there office multiple times for a status and to eventually stop payment on a check that was sent out and request for it to be reissued. Might I throw in they requested that check be overnight when we sent to it in. And they didn’t overnight it back to us. The experience was a nightmare for us and our realtor. I don’t recommend working with this company.
Amy is great at communicating and such a people person, which is so appreciated. As a realtor, I was grateful for such prompt responses from her and great attitude!
I was so looking forward to moving into one of their properties in Fort Worth but it didn’t work out and the whole process seemed so rushed and careless.I just don’t understand why the property manager I was dealing with would waste most of her day yesterday trying to get us approved only to pull a thoughtless kinda move on us this morning. I’m self employed, so showing proof of income was difficult but after a couple hours and different tries we were finally approved. We were sent the approval letter along with the lease agreement. I asked if we would be able to view the property first but she said it wasn’t going to be ready for viewing until next week. I was perfectly fine with that. This morning I woke up to an email saying we needed to sign the lease by 3 pm because they had two other approved applicants. I was absolutely not comfortable signing a lease without getting to walk the home and property so I had to essentially withdraw my application. It’s just so weird. I don’t understand why she didn’t just say “Hey, there’s other applicants who are approved. Can you at least send over that $500 hold deposit? We can put it towards your first months rent if you like the property and figure something out if you don’t but at least it’ll be on hold for you”. Also the houses have smart locks. Again, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just say “Let’s get you that code so you can at least view the place, it’s not exactly clean but that’ll be taken care of before you guys move in”.Then I received a follow up email a couple minutes ago saying no one else has signed the lease so the property is still available....I’m just totally turned off by this whole process when I started out really excited. Even after all the work and trouble it took to get us approved.I have to admit I am heartbroken. The rent was a little over my preferred budget but I really loved the location and loved that it is a new build.
I would highly recommend not renting or buying with this company. I recently signed a lease for a home with Ameritex, and having lived 8 hours from the location I was unable to visit the site but was assured that the site was nice and well maintained (moving to another city for Graduate school). Upon arrival me and my roomate were not even able to stay in the home due to concern for our personal safety as we are 2 young female graduate students. We are forced to stay in a hotel, and are currently in the process of terminating our lease. Do NOT give this company any of your money, we are now out thousands of dollars. Please see below for view of our surroundings.
Not veteran or military friendly. Lack of professionalism and customer service. Rented from Ameritex for a year. One of the worst experiences ever. Plumbing was incomplete had poop coming up in tub and sinks. Ameritex did not send anyone out for almost week. The city of Mabank Water Dept. came out in less a day or so. The floor was not finished in my daughter’s room. Just a mess. I still have not received my security deposit refund back I moved out MAY 13, 2022. I would NOT recommend this place. I have plenty of detailed pictures and receipts of horrible customer service and the cheaply built home I lived in. I figure with all these bad reviews they need the deposit check more than I DO. Anyone who takes the time to read this rent or buy elsewhere.
Do not rent from this company, worst customer service ever. houses are poorly built and they expect you to pay high prices. they are not upfront about the neighborhood they built homes. we asked them about the neighborhood and they told us it was a good neighborhood. we get there and it right in the worst part of dallas. they dont provide any kind of security. if we wanted a fence they wanted to charge us $100 dollars more a month. the garage door are manual. the whole structure of the house is just 2x4s with some drywall. the floor is just a slab of cement with a thin vinyl flooring that when you move your couch or fridge it rips, then they want you to pay for the whole flooring. our property manager Rachel would not respond to our emails through out the whole lease. the only time she would have respond is towards the end of the lease trying to sign us up for a whole new lease. for the new lease they raise the rent almost $200. and if you try to get a month to month lease they double your rent. also, the smart home feature is useless. DONT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!
Since weve moved into our home last year we have had nothing but problems. The garage wasnt finished being painted, the garage floor was full of plaster and other things that should have been cleaned off prior to closing. The house was a huge mess when we moved in with a thick layer of dust on it. We found wood shavings on top of the cabinets and there are nails that were sticking out of the inside of the cabinets which were very dangerous for my toddlers. They also charged us $4000 for a fence that is two sided (because they didnt do the third side facing one of our neighbors) and a gate, and they attached the fence with nails to the neighbors fence. And now we are having foundation issues. Weve had an inspector and 2 foundation experts come out, all of them have said that there is a 3 inch difference with one side of the foundation to the other. However, the house has no cracking, and everything is fine inside. So they all said that the only thing that could have happened is that the foundation was not poured correctly. So we cant sell our house until this is resolved which almost cost us $10,000 in repairs when trying to sell so we had to pull out. So now its cost us our time and the sale of our house.
Worst company to buy a home from. Chuck was our main source to talk with. Very rude he doesnt let you talk, and he talks down to you. He wasnt only rude to myself but to both my realitors and my husband every time we would ask a simple question. They wouldnt fix anything before closing. We had to fight with them for almost 2 months to level our lawn. I had a few missing brixks on the exterior, rhey siliconed one in, but i didnt let that slide i had them redo it. The other 4 are still missing. In our showers there is still missing grout to this day. None of my outdoor eletric works. They used the worst paint ever. We have repaint our entire interior. Every little thing you touch leaves a mark and when you wipe it off it leaves bigger marks. My island is so unlevel and leaning to to left im waiting for the day it falls over. They definitely dont take pride in their work. I also asked multiple times if i can have my place of employmentdo all the tile work and flooring but they refused. I told them I would supply my own tile and flooring still was a no. So now we have to demo to fix their problems. Worst experience all the way around
Amy works really hard to give fantastic customer service. She knows her business and can give great advice!! Highly recommend!!
Amy with AmeriTex was beyond amazing!! Personable, professional; she was an absolute delight!! I look forward to working together again soon!!
We were fooled by the pictures and didnt have time to check out the property beforehand because of a miliatry pcs. We needed a place asap and lived 22+ hours away. We were prepared to just transfer the lease to another property under the same company in a nicer area but to no avail we couldnt find any and were about to give up untill we found a mistake in the dates on the lease that my agent made! All of a sudden they stop contacting us for DAYS! We called our leasing agent and the office several times within opperation and told us to contact their legal team, never gave us the number so now we are trying to get the number, bam on hold FOREVER AND HE HUNG UP.. We just want a refund! We never set a foot inside of the house or got a key. We are currently STUCK in a hotel! Theres no reason why we can get a refund for our security deposit and first months rent! Our agent is Michael Aranda. Hes been running us around for days. I am absolutely appalled at the lack of professionalism and just common human decency that he reflects on this company. . We simply just want our $2250 back! We are on the verge of hiring a lawyer and quit trying to do this the easy way!
This is my first home I ever moved in and rented on my own. I wish it wasn’t an Ameritex home. Not only does their customer service suck, they never answer your requests or phone calls and are horrible at getting back to you. They are rude and obviously only care about money. They houses are cheaply built, have no extra storage space, and are expensive for the cheap quality. (THE WINDOWS POP OUT!!)
RECOMMEND READING BEFORE RENTING FROM AMERITEX( I appreciate the owner stating they will reach out to me I look forward to hearing from them and will update if they follow up and keep their word. In the mean time I will continue to update my review. )((UPDATE 2.25.2020)) As promised I am updating my review I have not been contacted by a representative like they replied to my review saying they would do. So that was an empty promise. It has been two weeks since Ameritex Homes replied to my review stating they would reach out to me and no one has reached out besides the management company that already advised they will not be installing a garage door (so all the garage is good for is storing boxes in, which requires accessing from inside the house again because there is no way to open the door) They dont supply blinds, and you arent allowed to install cabinet hardware so none of your kitchen & bathroom drawers and cabinets have handles/knobs.I really would like to recommend Ameritex homes I really would, their homes are very nice but I simply cant. I have always rented almost 9 years now because me and my girlfriend move a lot and this is the forth house that we have rented so we are experienced with the differences of renting a home vs an apartment. We have experienced quite a few issues with the home we have rented and I have no issue with that because I was aware of this being likely when moving into a brand new house. No one has had the chance to work the kinks out so far I have had over 11 issues. Some of the issues like fence gate door that doesnt open or latch because someone busted the handle/plywood off, the builders forgetting to install the motor for the garage door so you cant park your car in it are still yet to be fixed but as of now I am under the impression that they are working on getting those fixed and have no issue being patient for them to be fixed. What I do have an issue with are the things that they advised me they will not fix that were broken before I moved in.(((Edit 1.0))) was updated today that they do not install garage doors so unless anything else changes I rented a home for $2000 a month that is supposed to have a two car garage but actually does not have a two car garage at least not one you can park a car in since there is no motor to open the door. Very deceiving in my opinion I mean who looks to see if the garage door actually opens when shopping to lease a home it should just be a given that the garage door is functional or at least disclosed prior to leasing ))))The home has no blinds I contacted them since I have never been responsible for spending $600-$1200 of my own money to install blinds and that is the case. Be aware when you are comparing rental prices that you need to add $50-$100 to your monthly lease to install blinds in their house. The entire kitchen and bathrooms have no hardware on the cabinets/drawers so you have to use your fingernails to try and get the drawers to open which is such a pain. To make it worse they will not let me install my own hardware because it requires drilling into the cabinets. So I have to deal with not only the pain for my self but opening the drawers for my girlfriend so she doesnt break a nail every time she needs a fork. Some more minor petty items to add salt to the wound. The water filter on the refrigerator has been due to be replaced and beeps every time we get a glass of water and there are lights burned out and flickering in every room 7-8 total. The last house I rented they charged me $10 per bulb and almost $80 for a new water filter in the fridge so I immediately contacted them to have them replaced. They refused to replace either but at least they told me they would not charge me to replace them when I move out so thats a plus.(edit 2.0 Fireplace issue resolved)
Home was infested with cockroaches and ants, said they wouldnt spray. Pictures of property did not match location. Took my deposit and charged for two months rent and is requesting additional move out fees. They are requesting four months worth of rent, when I only stayed for less than a week. Gave notice within a week of moving in. Predatory company.
The process was very quick and easy but someone broke in the house before i moved and stole the stove and refrigerator and the window is still broke. I paid my deposit and rent and the window is still broke and back door jammed. I am very disappointed because i cant live there and the window is broke and boarded up. So i am staying in a room till it gets fixed.and the only thing they took off was 200. I am out of so much. My window is still broken and have no no mailbox and it is very cold in my house and i have a granbaby i have put in 3 request and still nothing so i. Have called leasing and no respond i am very upset !!!!!!!!!!!
My husband and I moved..leaving almost everything. In one week Ameritex had several homes for lease to choose from. Week 2 we were moving in our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home. We are so happy with our choice!Michael was so very helpful and was there to answer all questions every step of the way. Thank you Michael!Thank you Ameritex...
Im a Realtor. I will Never recommend that any of my buyers use this builder again. The first problem was at the walk through there were so many things incomplete and improperly done. We sent in our repair request and after my buyer moved in everything still wasnt complete and now EVERYONE has gone unresponsive! We were working with Chuck now he seems as he not interested in anything since the sale is done. Realtors dont take your buyers to this builder. My client calls me everyday with an unresolved issue by these people.
Our landlord decided to sell the current house we are living in and we had 30 days to find a new home! We inquired about a house that was already rented however, Max called with a brand new 3bd 2ba option that was available immediately, we were approved in less than 24hrs and that including viewing the home (smart home technology). We are grateful for all of Max & Rachel’s help, they are both professional and prompt in answering any questions we had! MOVING DAY IS MONDAY 😍🥰!
Looking for a home in Texas was a whole lot easier than you can imagine, if you go through Ameritex.Driving around in areas that we liked, came up on a newly built home with a sign. Immediately called the number, asked about the self tour which was advertised. Started with the application, was approved next day. I recommend anyone to give them a try, houses are beautiful and energy efficient.
I would not recommended renting or buying from this company. I have recently rented a property and it was completely falsely advertised. They do the bare minimum ( if even that) and are EXTREMELY unresponsive after they have taken your money. Save yourself a huge headache and DONT make the mistake I did by renting with this company.
I recently purchased a home through ameritex (less than a month ago) and the keyless entry has malfunctioned and I have been locked out of my home going on two days!I have attempted to contact Rently (keyless entry company) and Ameritex and no one is able to assist me! I was told to contact a locksmith and hope they would be able to get me in and they are unsure if they are able to reimburse the locksmith fees!I am a single parent and we were forced to sleep in my car due to not having access to enter our home! This is unacceptable!!!Since moving in, I have had multiple issues and I have attempted to contact multiple people with no response!
I am very Blessed to become connected to this company .I had Great Customer Service from Property Manager and also Leasing Agent .They went over and beyond to accommodate my ever need..They walked me through the process and continued to make sure I was comfortable as new resident.I shopped for alot of homes but I fell in love with my house and the Property Manager made it even more stress free .I am very pleased with everything so far and I look forward in continue to do business with this company. Thank You, Nichelle Williams❤️
In April of 2021 i purchased a new home from this company in Fort Worth. Ameritex Homes and Chuck went beyond the call of duty to make it happen. My experience of doing business with Chuck and Ameritex Homes was a phenomenal one. I am writing this from the comfort of my new home. Thanks again Chuck and Ameritex for making it happen. Ed
Happy to have a new house but not happy with finished product. Lots cut corners, many drywall details that never got fixed, lots of construction trash left in the backyard and long ugly grass thats still needs to be cut and lights that dont work. Still waiting on a response from ameritex
They contact you by phone, by mail, by phone again, by mail by phone by mail. They are desperate. They are told to leave you alone, but no, they keep trying to buy stuff that is not for sale. They harass seniors. They are abusive. They offer lowball prices in hopes you are desperate and they can take advantage of seniors. They will not stop contacting you EVER!!! Even when told numerous times to leave you alone. They will not stop!!!
Amy Frye was great to work with. Quick on communication and transparency in every step!
I worked with Ameritex Homes a few times and they are alway Professional and helpful. I look forward to working with them again in the near future.
Everything as far as the application process was quick and simple. Took less than 24 hours to have a lease ready and they were willing to work with us on all the details.
We had one nightmare plumbing issue, followed promptly by another. Ameritex has come through on both accounts and I can say that I am a happy customer.
Hello, Ameritex Homes has a very amazing website. The homes are beautiful and nice. The staff is great, they worked really well with my husband and I. And...WE GOT THE HOUSE!!
Amy was super helpful form the first call to the end of our transaction!
I HAVE BEEN HERE NOT LONG BUT I CANT GET NO RESPONSE ALOT OF MY PLUGS DONT WORK AND THEY SAY IT WAS MY WASHER AND DRYER PLUG I GOT IT FIXED HOW THEY SAID AND IT STILL DONT WORK PLUS ALOT OF OTHER PLUGS THEY KEEP CLOSING MY MAINTENANCE ORDERS AND NOT FIXING THE PROBLEM I HATE I MOVED HERE I NEVER HAD ELECTRIC PROBLEMS IT SAD NO RETURNED PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS THEY NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER I HAVE CALLED EVERYDAY SINCE I MOVED HERE.DONT MOVE IN ANY HOME FROM THIS COMPANY!!? IF U DONT WANT ELECTRIC PROBLEMS THEY WANT RENT BUT DONT WANT TO FIX PROBLEMS THAT WAS HERE BEFORE I CAME.
Carwin properties made the leasing process easier than Ive experienced. Very professional and attentive to the needs of the potential tenant. Thank you.
I was highly doubtful of being accepted for the house but with the simple application and uploading of information, I was approved and it was a smooth process whether I called in or emailed. Great opportunity.
Very quick and smooth process they were quick and very good about responding did my application and was moving in the same week very fast and smooth process.
I loved the innovative experience the only thing I would recommend is having a human voice available to be able to contact esp during the process just to add another level of comfort.
I waited for a commission check for a month and a half. I sent emails to every email person I have and no response.
I would recommend them 10/10! Renting from them was a very easy process. They were very helpful and very quick to respond whenever we had questions.
They dont respond like they should and the place is made cheap ..they let anyone move in we had a bad experience with a neighbor..it was so stressful living by people who didnt like us..
Nice homes, quality builds, decent rent for the neighborhoods, need more properties in east Dallas, pleasant grove and mountain view areas.
Amy Frye was very helpful in providing information needed. Thank you.
Renting through Ameritex Homes was such a painless and smooth experience.I would definitely recommend them.
The process was so easy! The managers were prompt and answered all my questions. I can’t wait to move in.
Very fast responsive staffs. Highly recommended for anyone who are looking for house for rent.
Ameritex gave my family a chance to rent when no one else would , just a bit pricey for the amount of space you get.
Great house. Good price. Outstanding response to my questions. Great to deal with and quick closing.
Horrible will not fix anything that goes wrong in the home I will never recomend this company for anything!!
Relocating to Texas , Cant wait!!Go Ameritex Homes!!🌹😄
Ugly , poorly built houses that destroy neighborhoods .
Just checked out their website
Very beautiful homes
Building substandard homes
