Not sure who this company is. Just got a message from my ex husband of 20+ years that he received a call from them stating they needed to talk to me. I call the number by the way was a local number. It rang and then a female picked up. Did not identify what company until I asked. She stated that there was a business matter that they had with me, I asked how they got my ex husbands number and she stated they look up anyone associate to the person they are looking for. After 10 minutes into the call she still did not tell me what why they were trying to reach me. Just excuses of we sent messages, called and emails and got no response. So you start searching for people to call to find me! Major scam
I called and spoke with 2 very rude women because I got a notice for collections and believed it was an error....both hung up on me because I would not give them my email address.You cant have a strong ego and last very long in that business and sugar sure does a better job than vinegar...seems like they are in over their head. We finally got the creditor on the line, as the creditor was trying to explain, she constantly interjected her voice which was not helpful.In the end, I paid the bill which was a membership scam...it had nothing to do with the collection agency as they wouldnt know how to negotiate making a pop tart let alone trying to do business.
They don’t deserve any stars. They are fake and just scamming people for money. Trying to tell me I owe for a loan back in 2017 that I never took out. There website is fake as well. They keep making new numbers to harass me with when I block the number they call me from. I’m gonna involve the authorities if they wanna keep harassing me. I’m also hiring a lawyer.
Review: Horrible Experience with Southwest Recovery ServicesMy recent experience with Southwest Recovery Services has been nothing short of appalling. I tried multiple times to get in touch with them through their regular customer service channels, but my calls were never redirected to the right person. It was only when I called the sales team that someone finally picked up the phone—this alone is a glaring red flag about their priorities.The issue at hand was an email I received from Southwest Recovery Services claiming that I owed money to ZenBusiness, a company I used to incorporate an entity in the U.S. During my call with them, I provided all necessary verification and informed them that ZenBusiness had already clarified that this debt should be canceled and disputed. However, instead of taking this information seriously, the representative I spoke to completely dismissed my concerns.He outright told me that their job is to collect money, not to dispute anything. When I insisted that ZenBusiness had already canceled the debt and requested that they verify this information with ZenBusiness, he flatly refused. He then had the audacity to simply mark the issue as “disputed” and hung up the phone on me. The entire experience was mind-bogglingly unprofessional.This kind of treatment is absolutely unacceptable. If you value decent customer service and don’t want to be treated with disdain, I strongly advise steering clear of Southwest Recovery Services. The worst customer service I have ever encountered.
So just to let your company and others know, using an auto dialer is actually illegal. since I know that is how you are calling me and never telling me or mailing me or emailing me any information, Im assuming this is a scam, and you are to yellow belly to own up to it. so yeah, I can block numbers and delete robot voicemails all day. Really no skin of my teeth, I pay for unlimited talk and text for a reason. Have a nice day.
One star is to much for this company keeps blowing up my phone on a daily basis and I have spoken to a rep a few times and none of the information on this file matches my id except my name. They evedenly have skip traced and picked up my number. The social, dob and address does not match, how many times do I need to tell them this and yet they still call. I would not give them any stars. I will be filing a harassment suit as this has gone on to long. I have every time they have called saved on my phone.
I honestly never thought that I would be leaving a review for a collection agency however, the customer service that I received from Brandy was above and beyond my expectations. She was extremely helpful and understood the issue that I had. She was not condescending. She wasn’t rude. She was extremely professional and didn’t make me feel like I was a horrible person for not having this debt paid. If I ever get into any other collections, which I hope I won’t, I would hope that Southwest recovery services would be the collection agency that would collect my money Brandi you get five stars in thank you for doing what you do in caring.
If you’re reading all of these great reviews on a collection service and wonder why we like Brandi so much is because it’s been a totally different experience than most businesses that collect debts. They are respectful, understanding and they work with you to find the best solution. They have phone numbers of all of my immediate family members asking for a particular member who they dont have a phone number on. Why call us if you cant discuss the matter at all? And when I asked the rep if they had the phone for this specific member, she said she didnt know, nor did she ask for it as if she didnt want it. She didnt tell me to inform the member to call them. It was weird and suspicious.

I have used this agency for many years and it is by far the best. The owner is very polite & the agents actively pursue your money. I had alot of success with them, but what I like most that other agencies didnt provide was that you can log-on at anytime & see the status, when contact was made & what was said. You can also submit your cases right online, so very convenient.

Wish I could give no or less than a one star. They are not great with verifying information. I called twice and both times, they provided the information for verification by providing the answers. Instead of asking me for my DOB, they stated it and asked if this was my birthdate. I shouldve been the one to provide the information and provide additional information in order to complete the verification process. I told the first agent that I could be someone else and they need to update their security verification process; and the last one I stated at the end that I wasnt the person who they were asking for, even though it was me. Do better with the verification process and stop using other peoples local numbers to call individuals.

They call numbers of people I have no clue how they even connected with me, and tell them more about my business with them then they will tell me. And honestly if youre demanding socials and birthdays before ever telling you what its about its sketchy. They sweat emails have been sent on certain days explaining the business. Nope. I ask what its about BEFORE I provide my social and birthday and they say well we already have it so I can read it to you to confirm but we have to verify who you are before we can discuss what the matter entails. Nope. If you cant give me information on what its about, why should I give my personal information, especially since you apparently already have it 🤷♀️ not a great way to make people want to work with you
Brandi Schrade was an excellent employee to handle my case! A lot of reps just go through the motions, but she genuinely listened, was focused and helpful, managed our time involved very well, as I was unaware of the case until she called and my time is limited from my work schedule. She guided and worked 110% throughout the process to resolve my concerns while working equally as hard for the other stakeholders. SRS is lucky to have her, well deserving of an upper leadership role, although I wouldn’t be surprised if she was already managing an entire team! Exceeded expectations, great job!
Wont stop calling me when i have never taken out a loan or any payment that would put me in debt, and i have made that clear to them, yet they still keep calling me. This place is an absolute joke. They call me daily regarding my husband. Im more than happy to speak with them, I only ask they tell me who they are and why theyre calling before I give them my husbands birthday and social security number. Seems like a legit request, right? Nope. They expect you to give them very sensitive information with zero information from them. Pretty sketchy! Not to mention they make a point of interrupting you and talking over you everytime you try to get a word in edge wise. Whatever account they are apparently trying to collect on can gladly go into collections further before either one of us will speak to them. Simple customer service skills will go along way.

While we have been in quarantine status, I decided to review my credit report and noticed an item in Collections. I wanted to discuss and handle immediately. I contacted Southwest Recovery and had the opportunity to speak with Steven. You hear horror stories about Collection agencies etc. Steven was very nice and customer service oriented from the start of the call. He pulled up my account, noticed it was an older account, asked me the most important questions - how would you like to handle, are you looking to completely remove from Collections, are you looking to pay off today etc. We discussed and he came up with a favorable solution. I made my payment and looking forward to a small boost in my credit score with the collections removal. He even stayed on to ensure I received my payment confirmation emails.Thank you Stevem for a pleasant collections experience.
Lets see....The first guy on my case, Andre, was rude and hardly responsive. I got in contact with Steve, the owner. He was nice. Said that hed remove my debt once I paid it in full. I paid it in full like 5 minutes after we hung up. He said they report on the first of the month, which is technically today so well see. Im up for a job so hopefully, he keeps his promise. If not, Ill update but for now, Ill keep the rating based on his willingness as an owner to step in and demonstrate good service.

Rude with no common courtesy. They have called my number looking for someone several times. The rep Dillon Cain asked if I was the person, I told him no, he then hung up. I spoke with another rep who was just as rude if not even worse.Update: After ONE year, the president has responded with intimidating tactics of threatening litigation and denying the validity of the review. Not once in the VERY LATE response, is there an attempt to validate the information or remedy the situation. This behavior is indicative of the treatment I received initially prompting the review. Mr. Dietz, instead of condemning those who you/the company treated poorly, maybe you and your teams should spend more time training on customer service and common courtesy. See response below.

This is a scammed company which kept harassing me via email for 3 years until I blocked it recently. Then, they sent a report to the credit bureau which hopefully scared me. I disputed it. I never owed any money from a scammed business which they represented to collect . Watch out , dont fall into their trap and give them your info! Scammers are everywhere and theyre hungry! I dont know why this such horrible business could continue to rob money from others without any punishment!
Worked with Brandi Lynn... She was attentive, organized, and quick with responses. She went out of her way to try and get the answers I wanted and never made me felt pressured to just settle the claim until I felt comfortable to do so.
They kept calling me and leaving a voicemail looking for someone named Amal which is not me. I finally called the number in the voicemail and asked them to take me off the list and they were very polite about it and said they would stop calling. The interesting thing is they were spoofing a Nashville area code because that’s what my area code is even though the call back number is Texas. Pretty interesting, I guess it’s part of the business.
Received a call from Jan. She is the most rude, abrasive and condescending person Ive dealt with. Consistently talked over me. When I asked her not to speak to me like that, she continued. Refused to provide an itemized list of the charges I owe, when I requested it, saying that is your responsibility. Why didnt you request a moveout statement when you moved? Asked me that multiple times even after I explained I didnt know to request one! Are you going to pay the bill ($2650)? No, Im not. Not when I dont know what the charges are for and especially when I surrendered a $3000 deposit when I moved out early! She threatened to submit the information to reflect on my credit report and stated thats OK, when you go to move or buy a house theyll call me and Ill tell them. She also stated she would make a note on my account that I said I wouldnt pay it, to have a nice day and hung up on me. 45 minutes later she called AGAIN. HARASSMENT! Shes not even competent to read a name correctly. Dont take your job so seriously Jan.
As much as I hated to parted with the money, I owed the debt.I really appreciated the level of service Mr Abbot at Southwest Recovery Services handled my account with. He allowed me to discuss the debt and options with dignity so I could figure out how to get it paid without too much pressure.The check cleared in the time-frame stated and the documentation was sent quickly. I truly wish there was a lawyer with a backbone who would take this company on. I receive calls 3 or 4 times a day for someone I havent spoken to in years! I dont know how they got my number or why they keep calling me even after being told to remove my number. The harassment is horrible and needs to stop.
Southwest Recovery placed a major derogatory item on my credit report and through conversation with them today, a doctor I don’t remember had a unpaid debt from 2016, 6 yrs ago, and has had this collection in their books since that time and has made zero collection attempts since 2017, even though he repeated my correct email address back to me. For 5 years not a single word from them, not one email! I paid the balance with my credit card today and was charged a $6.00 ‘ convenience fee‘.If I was the customer who placed this collection with them, I would be disappointed to know they sat on it for 5+ yrs and knowing they will collect a commission from the original doctor and then still charged me a $6.00 fee for paying with a credit card! That seems to be the cost of running their business, I think. Running their business? Did I say that? They did absolutely nothing for 5 yrs! Not one collection attempt. Lousy service to me and the doctor I forgot about.
Received a call from a rude lady in July 2021 asking me to pay a debt. Yet when I asked for details about the debt she could provide nothing. Her only response was So your are saying you wont pay this? I asked for an explanation as to who said I owed them, and what was it for. She said she would find out and call back. I sent a letter one week after they sent me a letter and I disputed it and asked for more information. 7 months later and no call back or letter, instead they reported a collection to all 3 credit agencies.
Some woman named Ma Tat (or Tad, I couldn’t quite understand when she spelled her name) informed me that the $34 debt I challenged on my credit report due to fraudulent charges has now turned into $80 and threatened me saying I had “30 days to pay, or else.” I contacted a lawyer to fight this for me, and to send a cease and desist to this company. Almost 2 hours after my lawyer sent the cease and desist, Ma calls AGAIN telling me the charge is now over $200. I informed her yet again that the debt is not mine, it was opened in my name fraudulently, and that I have plenty of evidence to prove my claim. I’m now on the phone with my lawyer again to have them send a final notice that if they attempt to contact me again I will be filing harassment charges. This is beyond ridiculous. So if these people are contacting you, you might want to go ahead and get a lawyer. If you do not know who to trust, go to Lexington Law. They are pretty amazing.
They have no idea what they are doing, and they are calling to collect debt on us and sue us in a different state than our state or the creditor state. Joke attorney, if you use them, you are wasting time. We kept warning them that this was wrong and, in our favor, but they told us they were professional.

I called and was completely unaware of a debt or this company that was claiming I owed them money and he started yelling at me telling me I am irresponsible and didn’t read the fine print. This charge had to be from identity theft or something. I am not a liar like that person that you have working for you claimed. I am an honest person so I don’t deserve that! An energy company I’ve never done business with reported me to this collection agency. I called to resolve this and spoke to Yvette. Yvette spoke over me and did not answer my question about documentation from the energy company. When she finally got around to it, Yvette told me that she in fact had no documentation on me from the energy company. Apparently, SWCRS just hassles people with no evidence of a real debt.Hopefully there are professional people who work here, but Yvette isn’t one of them.

The company was recently retained to assist with the collection of past due invoices from mortgage lenders and other lending firms. It was easy to get started. I just sent the past due invoices and they began to immediately work on resolving the problem. The company has been easy to work with and is very responsive. I retained them as I wanted a firm that was from Texas and knew the laws in Texas regarding collections and they seem to have done a good job so far.
Trying to collect a debt I know nothing about. They say its from North American bancard . Ive never had any business with this company and dont owe them anything. Some how these people got my old phone number and my mailing address that I just moved to three years ago but the debt was from four years ago so how would they have my new address? I feel like these people are scams. I dont know how a company that only serves Florida, Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri can be collecting a debt that according to the was opened four years ago when I lived in California.They are scams because the last few weeks they been calling my number looking for someone that I dont even know. They insist that I owe them money still but when you call their number for the original creditor its the same as theirs. Seem kinda strange that two companies would have the same phone number.They need to Leave me alone or I will be talking to a lawyer about pressing charges against them.

They collected a debt I thought that I would never ever get collected. Their website made tracking the progress on my accounts and payments they collected so easy. I highly recommend using this company.
When calling companies I was welcomed by Ed Cosgrove- Sales Manager for Southwest Recovery services. Initially he was very helpful as we spent time going over rates/hidden charges and fees that could potentially be charged to my company. When it was time to sign the contract I found many discrepancies in things verbally promised. When I pointed them out his response what it looks Southwest Recovery Services should pass on this one, we have gone over every aspect of our services and are still being asked questions. Basically too much work for us with too little of returnSAVE YOURSELF TIME AND FIND ANOTHER RECOVERY SERVICE! Worst “business” in their field. The receptionist wouldn’t even give me info about the business, until I confirmed my identify. I am not confirming my identity when I don’t know who you are! Especially when your numbers come in as spam on my phone. Apparently you have caller ID, you knew who it was when I called. It was for legal purposes that I identify myself, for their protection. BEWARE!!!!
The absolute worst, the amount they’re trying to collect is wrong called CFRP realty to have it corrected and this company is threatening my credit.. they gave me 48 hours to have it corrected and have hung up on me NUMEROUS times when I give them the update on what’s happening.When I tried to speak to a manager the SAME SPECIALIST (Roman) kept answering the line and said no manager is available and hung up on me!!!I’m finally talking to a manager and now they can’t find me in the system.**UPDATE** I spoke with a different representative after about 3 days, and she was so lovely. She gave me the up to date information and I scheduled the payment with her. I will be changing my star rating from 1 to a 3.5 only because of the prompt and diligent resolution they provided
On 9/3/2021 Sociallutions Media Group was paid $13,650.00 to set up our advertising accounts with Facebook, Instagram, Shopify, Klaviyo, a full funnel strategy. $6250.00 was paid in ADVANCE and I was promised in writing a 2 week on boarding process, development of ads, and organic postings. The $6250.00 included the following services:• $3000.00 Ad Spend Monthly• $2500.00 Account set up and management fee first month/$1200 management fee after -Full Funnel Strategy• $750.00 Social Media Management fee for entry level start up package organic content posting and managementIn addition to set up paid and sponsored advertising would be executed by SMG on both Facebook/Instagram platforms using multiple ad sets. SMG was supposed to provide analytics to me on a monthly basis or upon request.Under the terms of agreement, I was to have the ability to approve or deny all content before it becomes posted live on platform and request any changes.On 10/2/2021 SMG without my authority billed my credit card another $2100.00 for ad management.On 10/23/21 SMG billed my credit card $3150.00 for Facebook and Instagram paid ads. I was never provided data or ads so I have no idea if my money was actually used for my ads.On 11/3/2021 SMG without my authority billed my credit card another $2150.00 for ad managementTotal Amount paid to SMG= $13,650.00 in two months timeAlmost immediately after the contract was signed problems started to develop. Josh the owner of SMG tried to encourage me to let SMG change my Shopify website to a custom built website from his brother for an additional $4500.00 which I declined. After two weeks had long past and the set up was not complete Josh said they were struggling with the integration of Shopify, Facebook, Instagram and other applications. Josh admitted not being “friendly” with Shopify, Facebook, Instagram and other Shopify Integration apps and encouraged be again to let his brother take over development of a new website.On 10/12/2021 a notice of default was sent to Josh the Owner of SMG Sociallutions Media Group noting that Facebook, Instagram and other platforms were not properly installed, ads were being run without my consent or approval, and I had not been provided any data.I submitted written complaints almost daily to Josh and other staff members up until 11/17/2021 when I received a phone call from Facebook regarding the advertising account. The same day I also received a email from Klaviyo support. What I found was that Josh and his staff had never properly integrated Facebook and Instagram and was using their “in-house” advertising account to run improper ads on Facebook. Ad’s that I NEVER approved or were even given an opportunity to see. I also found out from Facebook that SMG was not an approved advertising agency and had in fact been given several cease-and-desist orders from Facebook regarding using their clients money to purchase ads for their own company.On 11/19/2021 – SMG was fired, and I had hired another agency to fill the services and complete the full funnel strategy.In addition to the loss of $13,650.00 it cost me an additional $10,000.00 to hire another agency to fix all the problems that SMG caused.I am writing this review now 3/6/2022 after receiving threats from a debt collection company located in Dallas, who claims Josh SMG has a default judgement against me for $5150.00 but cannot provide any proof of such judgement. The collection company, Southwest Recovery has called family members and lied saying they were trying to track me down regarding another completely unrelated matter. Southwest Recovery even threatened to evict my wife from our home and that they planned to call our mortgage bank, US Bank and advise them of the judgement.SMG has not once owned up to the fact that they were unable to perform the services outlined in the contract and proposal for which they were paid $13,650.00.
Excellent Support for Small Business Owners. Occasionally we run into customers that do not want to pay for services rendered. We can not afford to allow these customers to take advantage of us. Southwest Recovery is a great company with proven results to help us to collect on money owed.
Scammer!This company is run by scammers who use different names every-time they call. They used forged document to collect fake debts. The Contract they have is stolen information from non-related companies. They called me to collect debt for a supposedly nonpayment contract When I asked for full contract, it took them more than 10 days to send me a fake contract that I had with Total Merchant Services. Which means they probably stole the information from Total Merchant Services or someone who works for Total Merchant Services Leaked the information. Being said, Total Merchant Service is also not a good business to deal with. Forgery is felony and this company broke law by using forge document. Ill report them to see if anything can be done for these scammers. 1- Make sure to ask to email you the full contract that they are trying to make you pay for. 2- In the contract, you will find the information about you and then talked to a lawyer before making the payment.

Funny how all the complaints on this company are for people who refused to pay bills for services provided. Southwest Recovery is the best collections company around. If your customers are old ladies with cats, these are the guys to call. Old ladies with cats have nothing better to do than leave complaints about being hounded by horrible collections companies. I dont see many complaints by old ladies with cats for Southwest Recovery, for good reason. They know how to maintain the customer relationship in the receivables business. Most experienced folks in the biz. Give them a call, glad we did.
I owed a debt to a rental agency with another individual. The other individual on the lease was not willing to pay his half of the debt that was owed so Southwest Recovery Services were able to split the balance that was owed and completely absolve me from the remaining balance. I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my chest and I can finally breath. Thank you SWRS. And a special thank you to Brandi for all of her hard work and help.

ABSOLUTLEY TERRIBLE! I attempted to call to PAY what is owed. The gentlemen who answered BARKED at me asked for my account number and when I asked if I could just supply my debit card number instead he acted extremely irritated and cut me off! I work at a call center and am always kind because I understand it can be stressful. Once I realized I would not be able to talk to anyone else... I asked how to pay online and hung up. DONT TREAT US ALL THE SAME! Some of us are good people trying to get things taken care of.

I know theyre a debt collecting service, and honestly, people dont love places like this. But, Randy Mitchell was very pleasant with me and explained the debt I had, which I then paid off. Its one of the most pleasant experiences Ive had with a debt collector.
UPDATE:Changing my previous rating from 1 star to 5. Within an hour of posting my original review, Steven Dietz of SWR emailed me helped to resolve the error on my credit report. He was courteous and diligent. I appreciate his attention to this matter.*********************************************************************Cant seem to get ahold of anyone at SWR, but I see they respond to Google Reviews, so I suppose Ill try here.I had a debt from April 2016 (that I was not notified about - not SWRs fault, but still adds to my irritation). I immediately took care of the debt in April 2016 once I finally received a collection notice from SWR (they also contacted literally every single person closest to me when they could not get a hold of me immediately - i.e., my Mom, brother, my boss, my 78 year old grandparents!) Anyway. Debt was paid - I assumed that the collection would fall off my credit (I agree, Im wrong for assuming that any collections agency would actually follow through on removing a negative mark on someones credit.) Fast forward - I am in the process of purchasing a new home and am attempting to resolve any negative marks on my credit. Upon investigation, I found this collection from SWR had not been removed and still showed a balance owed. I contact the debt originator to see if they had proof of payment - I was directed to contact SWR. I have yet to talk to a real person. I would just like to have this resolved and removed from my credit report as I do not owe any money to SWR or the original debtor.
Gave them four accounts to collect on. Only collected on one account. Didnt keep me updated on status of accounts. Very unprofessional. Asked them status on my accounts, and the response was that I needed to give them more accounts because they havent had new accounts in over a year. They allowed the statute of limitations to expire on my accounts without giving me notice so I could collect on them on my own before the statute of limitations expired. Then they sent me a survey to complete. When I gave them a negative survey, they contacted me. Then they tried to say that they only had two accounts of mine and they collected on one. This was untrue. They had four accounts. So it added insult to injury since they didnt even know how many accounts they were handling for me despite the many communications we had about all four accounts.
I found myself in a debt trap and ready to give up. I answered the call and they came up with a reasonable payment plan for my unique situation. They were sensitive and after I was done paying off what I thought was impossible it was removed off my Credit and lifted off my shoulders!! Finally!! It feels good. Thanks guys!!!

Terrence Love was very patient with me. I was able to set a date on when I could pay my balance in full. Most collection agencies harass you with phone calls but Southwest Recovery was very patient.

Very Rude. The guy who spoke to me was very rude and when I asked him the same question to make sure we are in the same page, he said if you asked again I am going to hang up!! This company placed a item in collection on my credit that I had no knowledge and when I tried to dispute it they claimed they don’t handle disputes( Which is untrue) so when the economy opens up I will be filing a small claims case against this company.
