Will was very professional, extremely knowledgeable and explained in detail the problems and how it needed to be solved. A real pleasure to have in my home. I would recommend Will with Barbosa to all of my family and close friends for any of there plumbing or AC needs.

Will did an amazing job as always ! he showed up on time, gave us a heating check up and noticed that we had a small leak in our water heater. Will is always thorough and took care of this leak in a timely manner! If we had to rate him between one and 10 he would get a 20!

Every time we call Barbosa for some issue were having, they are always quick to respond and resolve the problem. This morning, we turned on hot water in the bathroom, and only a trickle came out. Called Barbosa at 6:30am and left a message. By 8:10am, they had called back and said they could work me in by mid-day. Will and George just left after fixing the issue, teaching us more about our system and how to manage it, and leaving us happy customers. Definitely recommend them (Will and George AND Barbosa, that is).

My parents bought a fridge from Home Depot, and had it delivered. There was a copper hose that the delivery guys refuse to touch. We had a big water leak in the front yard and had to turn off our water- not an ideal situation! But Barbosa came out quickly and made the necessary repairs and got our water back on! Will came and fixed up a leaking water line behind our fridge. Unfortunately, the leak was inside the wall but Will located the issue, explained the different resolutions and pricing. Wilt of Barbosa plumbing came by to service my my HVAC Friday. Which he quickly did. But even better wanted to talk to me about my hot water heater which was on my replace asap list. He was able to get everything done the same day and I was able to get the flood prevention features I wanted since I had just replaced carpeting. All in one day. Happy camper here.

I would never hire this company for anything ....especially if they continue to employee despicable people like the individual I encountered on the TEXpress this morning who almost intentionally hit my car and almost ran me off the road. Road rage should not be tolerated ...especially from those representing businesses....how shameful. I have contacted the Dallas Police Department and will be contacting other authorities/agencies as well.

William was excellent. We have had major plumbing issues and then the A/C went out. He went above and beyond to get both projects completed as quickly as feasible and was diligent in making sure that all of the details were taken care of. Great job!

In performing a filter change and system inspection for my HVAC System, Jackie noticed that the vent tube to my water heater was not connected, and reconnected it preventing a potentially dangerous situation with gas fumes accumulating in my garage. After spending two 105* days with a broken AC, Andy fit me into the schedule and Blake & Will arrived early, and did a serious AC condenser repair in about 1.5 hours. The team replaced one of our interior AC/Heating units, the exterior compressor, and cleaned the associated duct work. All of the work was done in one day! Will was great to work with.

Jackie was knowledgeable and he helped take care of the issue we called for.We had some drainage issues we called Barbosa for.Jackie explained what was wrong, the why behind it, and helped fix it quickly

After charging me $165 to simply come out and stick a camera down our main sewer line, they then wanted $800 to clear out a clog. We went with our second opinion (Rescue Air and Plumbing) who charged us $140 for the entire job. Wont be using Barbosa ever again.

What Barbosa does well: The customer service is great, and the service tech was kind and efficient in diagnosing my problem. That being said, their prices are exorbitantly high. I was quoted nearly $2,000 to fix my A/C unit, including a $469 capacitor, and $488 for a chemical cleaning of my condenser. After getting other quotes, I was able to get a new capacitor for $205 and had the condenser cleaned for free. I feel like the tech is paid on commission, and I did not feel like the high price were fair at all to me as the consumer. I will not use their service again.

When our AC system died, Will and Alex were on the job to get us cool. While we waited two days for the replacement units to get in, Will and Alex brought in chillers to keep us comfortable until the install was complete. I appreciated their professionalism and quick response. They were both polite and informative and kept me apprised of the progress all through the project. They were also very conscience of our animals in the house and made sure they did not escape. Thank you guys!

As always, Barbosa Mechanical was able to get us scheduled quickly for emergency services.. Staff is very professional. A big thanks to Will Hatcher Jr for his ability and willingness to do the dirty work . Had a water leak that required work under foundation . Sub contractor worked long hours to identify leak , thank you to him as well !.

Barbosa went above and beyond to make sure we were okay after we had a gas leak at our house. Their technician, Will, came out within an hour and a half of us calling and was quick and efficient in finding and fixing the leak. He was very helpful in explaining how it occurred and what steps he took to fix the issue. He also helped arrange for the city inspector to come out the next day and even came back when the inspector was on site to make sure everything was squared away. They also sent another tech out again later in the day once service was reinstated to make sure our furnace and hot water heater were working correctly. Will and Barbosa made what felt like a nightmare situation painless without costing an arm and a leg and we highly recommend them for any of your plumbing or gas needs.

Couldn’t be more appreciative for Will (Plumber) and his assistant Alex! We had a pipe break on Christmas Eve Eve and a house full of people who weren’t keen on riding out the holiday without running water. They came within a few hours and fixed the problem quickly, efficiently, and for a fair price. A Christmas miracle! They were also extremely professional and courteous, just lovely to work with. We will 100% call them for all of our future needs!

We had a clog in our tub drain that was very resistant to all our efforts. Terry came out from Barbosa Plumbing and took care of it in no time at all. He was awesome! Very courteous and professional. I found out about Barbosa Plumbing from the previous homeowners of the house we bought. Terry came to fix a non-emergency problem with our toilet flange. Service was extremely quick and company responsive, I reached out Tuesday, scheduled Terry to came to give a quote on Wednesday, and service done one Thursday. Will definitely use again!

Water heater went out right before winter weather, and Barbosa was able to come out the next day to troubleshoot. Will was great to work with, very responsive, and he answered all my questions.

HIGHLY Recommend - Will and Alex are top notch techs!We first used Barbosa in May 2022 when our AC needed cleaning/servicing. We signed up for Barbosas monthly plan at that time thinking we would have them back in the late Fall...Come August 2022 our compressor died. They informed us it was best to replace the compressor, furnace, and air handler all together. The alternative was to try to replace the condenser, but being our system was 12 years old it was likely only a matter of time. They recommended we replace with a Carrier despite its higher costs for Carriers quality, warranty, and ease of obtaining replacement parts if needed in the future.Will and Alex were our techs for both visits. I believe they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to do everything they could to make our experience as painless as possible.The AC died on a Tuesday, they were able to come out on Wednesday 8 am to inspect. When it was determined a replacement was needed he identified in-stock equipment across DFW. We were scheduled for the install Friday at 8 am. They brought in portable AC units in the meantime to make the home much more comfortable in the meantime.My wife had a party on that Saturday so all her anxiety was alleviated because of Will and Alex. Likely we will be a customer for life.

We had a new disposal installed as well as new sink and faucet, which we had already purchased. It was a drop in sink that just needed to be hooked up and silicone around the edges. My mom owns this property and we rent from her, so they spoke with her about the charges. They charged her $2800 for work which was a basic job that 2 other companies had told us would be around $500. They charged 11 hours of labor for a 1.5 hour job. We used Barbosa because they go to my moms church so she trusted them. They clearly ripped her off. My ring camera shows when they arrived, the 2 hours they spent outside and the hour inside working (not 11 hours of labor charges). Also, my new disposal backs up into my dishwasher, so for almost $3k we still dont have the new disposal installed properly. The company refused to resolve with me or even explain the excessively high charges, saying theyd speak to my elderly mom whom theyve already taken advantage of 🤦‍♀️ AVOID

Mr. Matt Barbosa impressed me from the moment he called me back for my emergency call to the moment he effectively completed the job. The best part was that he found other issues with my system and gave me affordable options to bring my system up to a good state of repair. I contacted Barbosa Plumbing and Air Conditioning because I knew they were local, and I appreciated how they were on-site at the 2017 Carrollton 5K as a sponsor of that great event. I was very glad I gave them a chance when my A/C condensation line got backed up and started leaking water into my garage because Mr. Matt Barbosa also found an electrical short on my condenser unit that posed a safety issue. I have a small child at my residence, so he fixed this for us at a very appropriate and affordable additional cost potentially saving me or my family from getting a shock or even preventing a fire! He showed me the condition the wire was in, and he explained the proposed repair. He also took the time to check the other components on my condenser and noted that my capacitor was getting close to be out of variance. He advised it could probably make it through the summer. He didnt push the repair, but because of his approach, I opted to go ahead and have him change this out while he was at it. To summarize, Mr. Matt Barbosa took a lot of time with me to explain what he was doing and why. I could tell he has the heart of a teacher and a servants approach as he wasnt trying to push a whole bunch of unnecessary repairs on me or anything. Bottom-line, this is the type of service tech you hope you get when you randomly pick someone from the area. Needless to say, for any and all of my plumbing and A/C needs, they have got a customer for life!

I enjoyed my experience with this company from the phone reception with Mr. Barbosa to schedule someone to come out. He sent some one that day. Mathew was the tech that came to inspect my units. He was professional and through. He was knowledgeable about the unit and the best ways to manage it. I had another company try to sell me a new air conditioner that I didnt need. I appreciated the personal interaction and honesty with him and will be using them in the future to service my home.

New review:This weekend (Saturday 10pm) our AC motor died. Will was at our house by 8:30 Sunday morning to bandaid it back together until parts warehouses open on Monday. He was back Monday and we were cooling again by noon. They are the best.Last week review for a large in the foundation leak:Will and Blake had everything up and running in no time. Have Barbosa for years. They are our go to plumber.

Over the years, we have had excellent overall service and attention from Barbosa. They are professional, great at customer care and are very good at what they do. About 3 years ago, we had a whole new Infinity unit put in. This unit has been everything they said it would be. Our AC bill dropped by about 30%! Here in Texas, that is a big deal. Also, it cools more evenly and more comfortably throughout the house than our old system. My husband and I want to especially say a big thanks to both Luke and Andy!

The good: I called in the morning to have a gas port installed with a quick connect fitting. They arrived the same day and performed the work in a professional manner. The bad: they charged $800 for the work. I provided the quick disconnect fitting and union. They provided a few small pieces of pipe and a couple of fittings. No more than $75 worth of parts. They were on site for about 90 mins. They did quote the price in an advance. When I asked what was the labor rate, he said it is quoted by the job. If you deduct the parts, the labor rate was about $500 per hour for a plumber and his helper.. I was in a hurry to get the job done, so I agreed to he price, but I cannot recommend them. I felt abused by the outrageous price.

Will, Alex and crew replaced evaporator coils, cleaned a blower fan/motor and addressed various other plumbing and gas issues and got us up and running and cooling down again quickly. Very professional crew, they take their time to do things right and will explain everything clearly that is needed. Would highly recommend, and we will be having them back out to service several other units going forward. Thank you again guys!

Terry arrived mid morning and expertly found the problem with our water heater. I think he needs a cape like a super hero because he saved the day in a flash!!! From the office personnel to the cute assistant to Terry, they all made it a great experience. I would definitely recommend Barbosa

I’ve always been pleased with the service I receive from Barbosa, and my recent experience was no different. Travis was my technician, and he could not have been more professional and knowledgeable - from diagnosing the problem with my AC unit, making the necessary repairs so that my house was back to cooling again quickly, to patiently answering all the questions I had about my AC unit, thermostat, air filters, heater, and anything else I could think of. Will is a wonderful service technician. We had multiple plumbing issues and he explained in detail what needed to be done. He even provided us with photos of specific problems because my husband and I are senior citizens and not able to bend over to view the leaking or corroded pipes. Terry joined Will later in the afternoon for additional repairs that were needed. We have great respect for Terrys abilities since he had installed and serviced our air conditioning unit a few years ago. We are very pleased with the services both technicians provided today. It’s been an excellent experience working with Will. He is knowledgeable and easy to communicate with about what the problems are and they will be fixed. The plumbing issues started with sewer water leaking from the bottom of the toilet. At the time Will let me know that roots were in the sewer line. After a very short time those roots really made their presence known. The toilets would clog and unclog for a while and the water would rise in the shower. Will gave me a quote and it was decided to start replacing the sewer line. Will explained everything so well. The digging took a few days as expected. Then, the replacement of the sewer line happened all in one day! I was so happy they worked so fast. Pictures were taken to show where the numerous problems were. Drew Barbosa came out to the site, Will, Travis, Julio and Terry - all were friendly to me and my children and professional. It was so nice to have plumbing again! Then, the dirt was put back quickly. The grass was cut out at the beginning and then replaced. A picture was taken by the excavation crew beforehand to replace the landscape rocks where they had originally been. I definitely recommend Barbosa Plumbing and Air Conditioning.

Our air conditioner stopped blowing cool air around midnight on Friday night. I called Barbosa Plumbing & AC Saturday morning at 8. We needed to have the gas stub in our fireplace replaced in order to install new gas logs. Will, the technician arrived and looked at the situation we had and tried to remove the partial pipe that was damaged. The damage to the stub was unrepairable due to age and Will was very knowledgeable about what could be done to correct the situation. He advised me of my options and what the consequences might be to repair the pipe. I gave him the ok and he was able to replace the damaged pipe and made sure the new one was sealed correctly and safely so as not to have a gas leak in the line or the gas logs once installed. Will was very professional and polite and knowledgeable and I will request him again when I need more plumbing work done.

My technician, Jackie, was so courteous and kind. He was very aware of all necessary sanitation and contact free engagement, allowing only what I was comfortable with. Highly recommend Barbosa Plumbing!! I had water damage at my home and called Barbosa Plumbing for help. They offered to contact the dryout service for me and schedule an appointment ASAP, which I greatly appreciated especially since I was very upset about the water damage. Andy Barbosa called me the next day to see how things were going, which I thought was very nice and made me feel like a valued customer. A few days later Jackie came out to inspect the plumbing. He was very knowledgeable and professional and was able to identify the cause of the water damage, and what repairs were needed. A+ and Thank you!!!

My entire experience was great start to finish. Andy was helpful with scheduling and calling me when they were on their way. Jackie is an experienced veteran who explained everything and even saved me a possible breakdown. He found a capacitor that was going to fail any day and was able to replace it on the spot and had my unit running at 100% efficiency.

Barbosa did an excellent job of repairing our tankless water heater that had been damaged during the deep freeze in February 2021. They worked with us to allow us to locate the damaged part and coordinate with them to replace it. They were very backlogged due to the volume of problems affecting everyone in Texas, but they were very responsive and helped us restore our hot water after being out for several days. Thank you!

Always have a great experience with Barbosa. We have had them do plumbing as well as a/c and heater work for us several times over the past few years and it is always professional service. We had some hiccups with a plumbing job last year on a shower and they came back without issue until we were 100% satisfied.

Terry showed up to my house in less than 30 minutes after my call and located the leak that was costing me hundreds of dollars in my water bill. He located and fixed a leaky ball joint in a semi concealed outdoor faucet coming from under the ground and not the wall of the house. He was extremely patient and courteous throughout the visit and only charged me the $85 service charge.

Barbosa Plumbing came by our house and I gave them a basic rundown of exactly what I was looking for. I had been through about 2-3 other ac companies that already did the legwork of figuring out what I needed and Barbosa didnt fight me on it or try to upsell me.They did a quick inspection and agreed that my house needed additional return vents. Luke got additional information from my units, went on his way to write up a quote and gave me 2 options. 1 option was a more expensive option, but he upfront told me that the cheaper option was recommended for my case.Scheduled the service the following Monday and they did what they needed to do on the promised date. The work was clean, quick and best of all - it WORKED! It fixed the exact issue I was having and I will continue to use Barbosa for any other of my hvac needs!

Great service!I recently got 4 bids on the purchase and installation of an HVAC Mini spit. JP at Barbosa was the most thorough by far and was willing to work with us as far as price, etc. The city inspection (upon completion) went perfectly. So glad we chose Barbosa!

There was a delay with my property manager sending a contractor out to look at our faulty AC, so I called Barbosa in the meantime. The technician, Jonathan, gave me a good assessment of what he believed caused the problem, the condition of the unit, and parts that needed to be replaced. He knew that to continue a full diagnostic of the system, he would need to replace some parts that would cost me a few hundred dollars, but that there were bigger issues with the unit and it likely would need to be replaced. His recommendation was to save my money. He filed a good report of his assessment that I passed on to my property manager and the contractor that came out later, who ended up replacing the unit. Although I was not in a position to hire Barbosa to complete the work, I was extremely satisfied with their ability to get a technician out to us and his honesty and professionalism. I will recommend Barbosa to others and in the future will request them from my property manager.

We had one of our A/C systems go out during one of our trainings, mid day. Called various places and Barbosa was the most professional !! We were having an ongoing issue with our thermostats dying every time we switched from ac to heat. The original installers kept coming out but every year the same problem kept happening until we called Barbosa Plumbing. Its been 2 Years since Barbosa came out and no problems. They also helped with our rent house. Highly recommend them!

I am a business owner in the area locally. I had never used Barbosa but since they were local and had good reviews I decided to give them a shot. We had a clog in our condensation line. I told them over the phone that the only thing that needed to be done was to blow out the condensation line. They said the service call would be $125. They showed up and hour later than the time slot given. When they got there and told me what needed to be done they gave me a final quote of over $400 because its a commercial property even though the unit is residential (small space). The only thing they ended doing is unclogging a drain just like i told them. They wouldnt give me upfront pricing even though I told Jen the office worker what needed to be done. I was basically trapped into paying it since they were already there and its difficult to run a business without A/C. $285 to pump air through a drain line to unclog it is absurd. Maybe residential is different but commercially I would look else where. Im giving it two stars because the technician was nice.

Matt, came out to my house, and looked at my AC and made really great recommendations as to how to solve the problem.The question was if it was worth trying to repair the old AC or investing in a new unit. We spoke about the importance of being responsible stewards and not throwing stuff out that could be repaired. He explained how his company recycles and reuses good condition parts to minimize the impact on the environment. They came to replace a shower head and faucet, realized that replacing the faucet would require a much more extensive effort, let me know about the options, and accommodated my decision to keep the repair simple and cheaper at that time.Weve used Barbosa multiple times for plumbing work and will use them again.

This was a very frustrating experience. I had a simple gas leak at one of the connections in the crawl space of my attic. Based on what I thought were good reviews I decided to call Barbosa. They came out and I showed them exactly what the issue. The service tech called the office to get a quote and after the call I was handed a business card with a $1950 scratched on it. I asked the tech if he could break down the cost and he informed me that he does have that information and I needed to call the office. I then called the office to talk to the service manager and asked for a breakdown which would qualify such a high cost. He said the cost is the cost. I asked how it could be so much for a simple replacement of a connection, however; he continued to refuse to answer any of my questions. I hung up and then I was then told by the service tech we dont give breakdowns, not even for insurance companies. It makes me wonder one of two things: 1. they are taking advantage of homeowners in distress or 2. there is not true basis for their pricing. Either way this company is not someone that I want working on my home. After that I asked them to leave and I paid the $85 service charge. I called another plumber who came out the next day and gave me a quote, that was broken out, for under $600. Basically, the only service Barbosa provided was a quote which seemed to be pulled out of thin air lacking any basis, for work that I diagnosed and walked the tech through and an extremely frustrating conversation with the service manager. All for the low price of $85.

Great company! I say this because our pipe burst during the freeze and we were unable to get a plumber due to the high demand. Although this company were extremely busy, they told me they were prioritizing customers with no running water and would be with us as soon as they could. They stuck to their word (other companies still haven’t called me back after I left messages) and sent Jonathan to come out and fix our burst pipe. Was happy with their service.

They are always super responsive, honest and do excellent work. My whole family uses them for everything. When my AC broke they were able to help on the same day in the middle of the summer and just did the same with my water heater. They gave me a price before and work as started. They were fast and cleaned up after them. As for price, I’m 71 years old and I think everything should cost half of what it does cost. So based on that, the cost was reasonable.

I bought my house about a year ago and needed someone to come out and replace filters and see if the systems needed cleaning. Madison spent quite a bit of time inspecting the system and gave me an estimate to clean and add gas sediment traps. He also recommended new ductwork. The cleaning and traps will be a few thousand dollars so I will probably get another estimate as well.

Been doing business with Barbosa for years and this experience was no different. Madison was very nice and professional and covered everything thoroughly. Also really got the value out of my maintenance plan with them!

Beware of the ‘grey areas’ on your maintenance protection plan. Things like the basic hose cleaning of your outdoor unit is not covered (like with other company’s maintenance plans). Then when your unit breaks down, they come out and conveniently have the hose, clean the unit, and charge you at their emergency service rate. Estimate price for products/parts is much higher than other companies as well. Professional and knowledgeable technicians but poor service for high prices.

The plumber sent to my house was named Will, and he was extremely knowledgable and helpful! My home was recently flipped and sold to me, and not only did he identify and fix multiple leaks that were causing issues, he also smelled and identified multiple gas leaks going into my water heater. He helped prevent near-term water damage and also potential explosion due to these gas leaks. Ill definitely use them again and ask for Will!

My gas line to my house failed a pressure test by the gas company and they shut my service off and pulled my meter on a Friday afternoon. Barbosa Plumbing came over to look at the problem and gave me an estimate of $12,000 to fix the problem with no guarantee it might not cost more. Refused to provide an hourly price. They thought they had me trapped going into a weekend but I declined the deal, did my own trenching and got another plumber to hook up and test the service. They billed me hourly and did a great job, only $1400. Barbosa is the typical predatory opportunistic plumbing outfit, dont use them. I love how they wont provide work on an hourly basis but only want to give you a quote with a bunch of conditions attached that basically says they will charge you more if everything does not go perfectly. They lock in a huge price gouge with no downside for them.

Barbosa has always been very professional and is always there for us. In the last 25 years they have installed two AC units in our home. I have recommended Barbosa to multiple friends and family who are in need of HVAC help. They treat you right.

The service was GREAT! The people knowledgeable - each one knew what they were doing and did it efficiently. They were able to get into my tiny attic, analyze the problem, provide a solution and only charged a quite reasonable amount.

Luka came out and took care of our vents blowing warm air and informed us well while he was working. He knew what he was doing and didn’t apply unnecessary pressure to buy something I didn’t need. He helped me feel comfortable about how he was going to fix my issues and went above and beyond to make me happy. I’ll definitely use them again.

I had this bad experience. They inspected our AC unit as part of the yearly inspection routine. In the process they broke the control unit connector that goes to the the nest thermostat . so the nest thermostat is not able to detected the 24V. When they diagnose the issue, they propose changing the whole wiring of the system that can cause thousands of $ and digging into the wall in the play room and the celings. I got another company to look at this issue of course, because the unit is working fine for 10 years with no issue and after inspection now the wiring system is broken (rises some questions to me?!!) . The new company were able to find the issue in 5 minutes. they did some voltage measurements and look at the control units and found the connector is broken. They replace the control unit for 100$, the issue solved. Sometimes when we work we make mistakes and we broke thing in the process, i have no hard feeling over that, we are humen after all. but what makes me unhappy is the fact that they did not do their home work to look at the real issue and prpose very extreme solution that may not solve the issue. I have been working with Barbosa for more than a year now, they tend to go to extreme solution all the time instead of looking at sample stuff to fix the issue. I have the same experience with the gas line to my water heater. the water heater was working fine for 10 year, they serviced it and they found unit is not getting enough gas, so it vibrates. It was not vibrating before the service. they proposed getting new gas line from outside, and they did that for 4K$. I am sure if i got a second opinion on that, it can be a sample fix, but i did not at that time and paid a heavy price. I have to also mention some positive side of Barbosa, they are very responsive to calls, they do things in very timely manner and they are respectful to their customers. But these two experiences i have, I decided to drop them from my contractor list to work with.

Replaced upstairs and downstairs with a new AC and Luke was very instrumental in helping me in making the decision of which unit would best fit our want, needs and budget. His attention to detail and workmanship and knowledge of the system was key in making this very large endeavor a breeze! I totally trust his judgement and look forward to having him as my technician in the years to come in servicing this new product.

Plumbing work was good thr first time. Dirt removal replacement both times was horrible. Toilet still rocks back n forth. Loud noises under slab after second leak fix. Call office. They never call back

Couldnt say enough about this company, from their office staff to the final product, absolutely amazing. We had a water main break under the foundation of our house, I called on a Sunday night around midnight and left a voicemail (didnt want to pay for emergency service call) and I promptly received a call first thing Monday morning at 8am from their office. I explained the issue and said he could send out a plumber to take a look. When Terry showed up, he was very professional and immediately took a look and discovered the issue, the best thing is that he was able to shut the water off at the meter as we dont have a shut off valve on the outside of the house. They then scheduled an excavation crew, who also hand chipped the concrete from the foundation to expose the damaged pipe, Terry was able to sleeve in a new piece of a pipe and problem solved! Terry also went out of his way to fix a broken sprinkler pipe that the excavation crew broke (even though you sign a waiver that says they are not responsible for a long list of items) I rarely call a contactor as I am pretty handy myself, but this was a bit our of my league. I chose this company from the pure fact of Google reviews, and if you find yourself in the same situation, I recommend you give them a chance, you wont be disappointed. I should be getting paid to write this, but this is my honest experience talking! Maybe they will give me a discount should I need their services again in the future! I had Barbosa scheduled to check mu Carrier HVAC unit for a malfunction error 41 which says blower motor malfunction. Whenthe technician arrived he did some diagnostic and said it was the fan motor. With warranty it would be 1800.00 dollars to replace the fan motor.I had indicated to the Barbosa tech that I felt it was the board.I had another company today replace the fan motor from Carrier supply for my unit and it still did not work. The Penacrux tech checked the flow of electric to the motor and ultimately after numerous tests concluded it was in fact the board. He replaced the board and the unit is working with no errors and at a fraction of the price.

In conjunction with a buyers home inspection, we had Barbosa to perform an additional level of inspection of the A/C units. As always, they were very responsive, knowledgeable, professional and arrived on time as expected.

We asked to perform an annual inspection on all ac units. Jackie is always pleasant and thorough every time. However, we were taken by surprise with all of the items recommended to be performed on all units including the units recently replaced. The old units I can understand. I feel like the quote had things that were not necessary.

Jonathan Cavagnaro came to our home today to service our tankless and to repair a leaking faucet that was damaged in the recent freeze. He was so efficient and personable. He really knows plumbing, and will be our preferred plumber from now on. Barbosa Plumbing has done other plumbing work for us over the years. They installed 2 new water heaters in 2018 and came and serviced them 2 years later. Barbosa is very professional and knowledgeable. Terry is so nice and great to work with!

Stay away from this company for any plumbing needs. They are extremely expensive and they do a very poor job. I hired them twice; first time they did just Ok but pricey. Second time is when they blew it. I had water what appears to come from under ground inside my house. They charged me about ~$850 in two visits just to tell me I had a leak under ground (leak detection) and quoted me $10,000 to dig a tunnel under my house and repair the water leak (what???). I obviously requested 2 more opinions and Barbosa was totally wrong where the leak was and repair took less than 2 hours. (No digging, no tunnels, and noooo $10,000 dlls!!).Yes I tried to politely call them and request my ~$850 back but they ignored me.I dont recommend them and will never use them again.

The technicians are always dressed professionally in uniforms, promptly perform the services required, clean up any debris that may have occurred, and are finished within the time quoted over the phone. I belong to the Family Savings Club, which means I get reminders to schedule spring and fall HVAC checkups at discounted rates. This plan also includes plumbing repairs! I have trusted Barbosa to keep my heating equipment in tip-top shape for over twenty years.

We needed our complete AC/heating unit and all our ducts replaced. They came when they said they would. Replaced everything and now my house is cool and its extremely quiet compared to our old system. Hoping the extra filtration and UV lights help with my dust mite allergies.

Outstanding service provided as expected from any business, but in this case Will went beyond by giving more details about how to complete the project. At this point I may chose Barbosa Plumbing.

We paid $85 for a pleasant conversation with their very polite technician. Im not sure why were charged a service call when all that was provided were estimates. Barbosas services are markedly higher in price; we were quoted $475 by ARS/Rescue Rooter but $654 by Barbosa. The technician remarked that we should go with the other company

6 weeks ago, I had my A/C serviced by Barbosa. On 10/08/2020, around 6.30pm, my A/C just shut down and stopped working completely. I called Barbosa to send out a tech to fix it, and just after 7.30 Travis was at my door. He fixed the problem, answered all of our questions and was very professional. We were very satisfied with Travis but we cant help but wonder if the cause of the problem should have been caught during the previous service.

Terry changed filter and performed a check-up on my heating system. As always he was very efficient and prompt. Great to know that I can depend on his work each time.

The service by Barbosa A/C was superb. Within one hour, my A/C problem was analyzed; all my options in the repair was shown before me. The matter was resolved quickly and my cooling in the house was up and running. Thanks for the service!

Had Lucca come out for same day Saturday service and he repaired problem at a reasonable rate. He also informed me the unit is 15 years old and runs on R22 so will pretty much need to be replaced Jan 2020. I think I had heard about that before, but didnt realize it applied to my house, but it was built in 1982 so at the end of the day, while I didnt want to buy a new AC unit now, its probably my best option given the circumstances. Ive had other HVAC companies tell me several times Id probably have to replace it in the next few years. They just never said why.Regardless, Lucca and Jen are wonderful and caring, and their suggestions are the same as what they would do for their own home or that of a family member. They did not pressure, only informed and educated so I could make a good decision, and Lucca expected Id look at competitors and told me what to look for and consider so I could make that best decision.In the past, Ive learned I can always find a cheaper quote elsewhere, but often that doesnt mean the vendor suggesting more extensive/expensive work is lying. It means someone else is always willing to put a bandaid on it while I keep my head buried in the sand and send thoughts and prayers to the universe to change what cannot be changed. Ive learned to just accept it when maintenance issues absolutely must be addressed and in the long run, it saves me time and hassle (and money) to just address the problem head on and efficiently.If thats the kind of service youre looking for, youre looking for Barbosa. Buying a new HVAC sucks but we only do it a few times in life, if that. At least get it done right and effortlessly by a truly expert, world class team who prioritizes customer service.

Jackie Peavler is always a delight. He checked out my AC system and gave me a short list of parts that may fail due to the age of the system. No pressure to replace now, but very good to know these may not last the season - or may last two more seasons. So I have time to prepare for these expenses. GREAT SERVICE!!

Jackie installed a new tankless hot water heater and moved it from a downstairs closet to our attic! He has done many other jobs for us over the years and always does first class work. He is knowledgable and is detail oriented. He is personable and cares about his customers.

This is a little late, as this happened about a month or two ago, and I keep meaning to leave a review. After a Baker Brothers AC check and their rep saying we needed $9K-$14K in repairs, on a 6 year old unit, I stared at him in disbelief, kept nodding my head through his explanations (uhuh, sure, yeah, whatever), quickly escorted that man out of my house and started searching for other companies. Came across and called Barbosa, and Luke came out the very next day. He even let me follow him around and showed me the items that I wanted to see that were supposedly bad according to the BB rep, starting with the evaporator coils in the attic. We went outside to check the units from there. Luke walked me through the whole check process, showing me what part was what, etc. Turns out all I needed at the time was 2 compressors replaced, less than $500. I will definitely use them in the future!

They showed up on time were nice and work was done fast, and tech explain everything that needed to be done and explain all the cost of the work.

Requested a quote for gas leak search and repair. Tech attempted multiple times to do a gas line pressure test without success, said he was having equipment failure. So I asked the tech for an alternative repair quote, which was provided. My issue is I was still charged for the gas leak search after the tech said his equipment was failing. And the emailed repair quote I received was $700+ more than the verbal quote the tech provided while on site. Also, I was not made aware of the $85 trip charge until the tech was on site.

More affordable than Service Experts. Luke Barbosa was great to work with. Fast, prompt, courteous, reasonable. Just installed so hopefully their work stands the test of time.
