Air Rescue Mechanical

This is the worst experience I’ve ever encountered with a contractor. I was setup with Air Rescue Mechanical through American Home Shield with my problem being “my A/C does not work”. When the tech arrived, I watched him working on the unit until he left. There were items left disconnected and he did not go inside the home to confirm it was functioning as designed. A few days later I call them back as the issue was unresolved. This time the same tech came out and everything he was working on continuously blew the circuit breaker (never occurred the first time). He left stating the compressor needed to be replaced costing me $2050.00. When the installation was complete, the tech was on the phone with someone who he was reporting back to who said “that’s too much Freon! You’ll blow the system”. I assumed because he went back and worked on it some more, it would be good to go. Nope. Being that it was November, I didn’t run the unit, but even when off, the system was frozen with visible ice build up. I called Air Rescue Mechanical back out and they said there was an issue with the connector and they have fixed it. This may have fixed the newly replaced compressor but the A/C still did not blow cold air. When I reached back out, Air Rescue Mechanical’s “Johnny” declined to return to the property and said they had been out too many times and I shouldn’t be using the A/C because it’s winter (it’s Texas and it’s been 80+). American Home Shield had their own issues but the process remained delayed as a result of Air Rescue Mechanical failing to update when the work had been complete. This took about 2 months in total and now I’m having to get a new contractor to come do what Air Rescue Mechanical couldn’t - make my A/C work.If you’re looking to waste your time and money, give them a call. If you want someone who cares about their customers, it’s NOT Air Rescue Mechanical.P.S. I expect there will be yet another BS response from the company in response to this reviewing.

I had an outstanding experience with Air Rescue Mechanical ! They were incredibly knowledgeable, punctual, and professional from start to finish. They quickly diagnosed the issue with my AC unit and explained the problem in a way I could easily understand. What truly impressed me was their attention to detail and commitment to getting the job done right the first time. Not only did they repair my AC to perfection, but they also followed up after 24 hours to ensure everything was still running smoothly. They failed to find an easy problem with a broken capacitor. I was forced to make a second service call to another company who fixed it immediately. These people cost me an additional service fee with American Home Shield. So I had a bad experience with this company and wont use them again.

Room temperature was stuck at 80, he came immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem at very reasonable price. He is very professional and honest individual. Very customer focused. Air Rescue Johny’s service was arranged by my home warranty provider, AHS. I was quite satisfied with their service. The technicians were skilled, courteous, and professional. They effectively fixed the leak and replaced the drip pan. I would confidently recommend them for your HVAC needs

Technician was able to show up same day and on time with given ETA, friendly and quick service, and got my AC up and running again in less than 30 minutesEDIT 7/3: I had Johnny come out 4 times for a capacitor replacement, Freon charge, AC unit replacement, and central air fan replacement. He was able to complete all in the same day in a timely manner and with great communication. Could not recommend more

American Home Shield had assigned the HVAC service at my residence to Air Rescue Mechanical.Air Rescue Mechanicals service was excellent. The HVAC issue was detected quickly in the morning, and the replacement part was acquired & replaced the very same evening. Given their tight schedule (with the demand for HVAC services in peak summer), I am very glad that they were kind, considerate, understanding & professional in their response to address the issue.Thank you very much, Air Rescue Mechanical.

Update 5/7/24 (new post): My other AC unit went out last week and after calling my Home Warranty Service, they assigned Johnny to me once again. I was relieved to know that he was the company called to look into my AC issue. He was able to fix this again in a timely manner. He was responsive & very professional. Thanks Johnny!(8 months ago - 2023): Johnny was there when I needed him! He was very professional and he knew within minutes what was wrong. He replaced the part within 10 minutes. Living in Texas it is hot right now.! I am so appreciative that he was able to fix it!! Thank you so much! I would definitely recommend them.

I first used Air Rescue Mechanical in Dec 2016 through my American Home Shield warranty. My units were 26 years old and they had to order the gas valve for the furnace. Johnny came back the next day with part. Fast and professional.My 26 year old AC units were just replaced the end of May 2017. They served me well but I didnt want them to quit in the middle of summer. Air Rescue Mechanical removed and installed both units in just over 5 hours. They beat other estimates by several $1000s and they are Trane units to boot. Im actually looking forward to those 100 degree days!!

Got same day service yesterday evening from Rescue Mechanical. The tech came on time and was very efficient in diagnosing the problem. Was fixed in less than 15mins! Amazing service!!!

Our air conditioner is very old and quit working. He spent the entire day troubleshooting everything and leaving and coming back to get new parts. Definitely would recommend him to anyone!!

Positive experience. Home warranty sent for A/C repair. Arrived in a timely manor,found the problem & had the system repaired in less than 48hrs after my call to warranty company . I appreciate the fast repair with the temperature @ 108 outside & the house heating up fast.

I am so happy I discovered Johnny at Air Rescue Mechanical. Ive known for a long time that my air conditioning system needed to be replaced but was trying to get it to last as long as possible. When my system stopped working on a 100 degree day, I freaked out as I had surgery scheduled 4 days from then to have my knee replaced. There was no way I could recover during the hot months of June, July, and August with no air conditioning. Johnny went the extra mile to replace some parts that are extremely hard to replace on my older unit. I know that any other company wouldnt have gone to that extent and would have told me I needed to replace the entire system. What Johnny did will at least get me through the next 3 months while I am recovering from knee surgery. He was very caring about my situation, punctual, trustworthy, honest & very reasonably priced.

Service technician came out initially and did not address original issue. Subsequently recalled for same unit upstairs and finally accessed the unit from the attic and discovered the motor was out. Once he came back with motor and installed was rude and disrespectful and I asked him to leave. He then informed my warranty company that recall was not for same unit. He did not listen to my initial or subsequent concerns and as a result was without central air for approximately 3 weeks. If you want polite, timely and accurate service do not call this company! You will regret it especially in over 100 degree temperatures.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I was assigned to this company by American Home Shield and they never called or showed up. I took off from work a whole day for nothing. When I called AHS, they called the company and was told by the owner the company called and canceled their service orders due to the weather which was a LIE! I called them on the hour from 8-3:30 and they never answered. Theres a man on the voicemail that you can barely understand. THIS is not a 4.7 star company. Im sure they are fudging reviews. STAY AWAY!

I really owe this company and, especially Johnny, a huge thank you for their timely/expedited evaluation. Our air conditioning went out the night prior. Our unit has had issues previously and other companies took several days to come fix the issue. However air rescue mechanical was there within hours of my call. This was of particular importance to me as we had a sick eight month old. Again, I had a very great experience. I will always use them in the future.

We had a bad AC fan motor in the middle of summer. Johnny was our repair guy, and Im so glad he was. He was great and very easy to work with. He went above and beyond the call of service. He even came a day earlier than planned due to a slot opening up in his schedule. He explained what was going on and made the fix right away. I highly recommend him. Top notch experience.

Worst HVAC company STAY AWAY, misleads customer.Go with other companies for quick resolution to avoid Texas Heat suffering. I would have given -ve if allowed.This company was assigned as part of my AHS home warranty.Johnny came out on July 12th to check my HVAC, a non professional, difficult to identify as a company person (not wearing company cloths nor disclosing company ID).He did simple checks on outside unit, said condenser is bad and started to do sales pitch to upgrade my unit for $2500.When I insisted on repairing the unit he said it will take min 2-3 weeks after he sends the report.He also said AHS will send rebuilt condensers to replace which does not last long. He started preaching $2500 is nothing get new unit.Johnny sent wrong diagnose report to AHS as non covered costs.Not sure if Johnny is a certified HVAC technician in the company? If indeed Johnny is a HVAC tech then he is not doing justice for his gained knowledge instead trying to mislead customers.Its best to stay away from these people or companies which waste customer time and mislead them.I requested for a second opinion as I was sure Johnny was not qualified/capable to diagnose properly.The new company came diagnosed the HVAC unit properly, sent report got AHS approval and fixed my HVAC within a 4 days.AHS could have saved customer time by sending good companies/contractors in first place.

Amazing service from Johnny. He was on-time and identified the issue in a few minites and fixed the issues in less than 24 hours. I will recommened him and will use him in the future.

Ayad from Air Rescue Mechanical did an Excellent job resolving our long standing AC issue. Specifically, our compressor fan could never keep up with summer heat and has died 3 times over the years. Other AC guys have replaced it each time with another crummy fan but same issue persisted. Ayad identified the problem and installed the correct (stronger) fan and now the AC works as it should. He was timely and professional. I would recommend Air Rescue Mechanical and Ayad for AC repairs.

I called Air Rescue Mechanical after I got a bid and a service recommendation and price that I felt were not in line with what my actual issue is. Johnny came out the same day he got the service request and got me up and running. Not only was he very patient taking his time explaining what needed to be done to keep me going, but, what a plan may be to consider in the future since the unit was old. Since the majority of us laymen dont know how or what to fix if the A/C goes down, it was nice to work with someone you felt was on your side and just wanted to do good business so you would work with them in the future.

My experience with Air rescue mechanical started through my home warranty company. Although at first, my experience was not a very good one I understand in this line of business companies like air rescue mechanical have to hire outside workers/contractors to do some jobs. My review here is really about the owner/operator of air rescue mechanical, Johnny. Although, it was protocol for me to have had to call back to my home warranty company and go through that whole process again with an issue I was having after the replacement of my ac compressor, after calling Johnny on a Sunday, he answered my call and was out the very next day to address the issue himself. He treated me as if I was a customer of Air rescue mechanical and not just a home warranty claim. Thank you Johnny for that!

STAY AWAY Use someone else. This company was assigned as part of a home warranty repair call. Was not contacted by the company, only received notice from warranty company of scheduled time being set (9am-4pm) two days later. Technician called 15-20 min prior to arriving. Arrived in a personal vehicle with no company markings, was hard to understand (potential language issues). Upon initial inspection of outside unit he had to call someone to be explained it was a variable speed fan. They never came inside to inspect any of the internal components, and asked me to use his temp sensor inside. Added Freon and replaced a capacitor (Which they left behind for me to dispose of), system appeared to be working better.Two days later the system is now having the same issue. Re-opened the request with warranty company to have them come back out. After a day of no contact they marked it is unable to contact me and for me to call them. Have attempted to call multiple times with no response, as I can only ever leave a voicemail.After 4-6 voicemails the company finally called me back. Only to say they have cancelled the request from their end. They are too busy to accept my request. Took no ownership of the fact the issue was not resolve or any of my other concerns.

Johnny called me at 8 PM and walked me through some simple steps to get my AC back running so I wouldnt have to wait another day in this heat! He was very helpful, patient, and was more interested in getting my AC working than making a service call to bill my home warranty company. I highly recommend Air Rescue Mechanical!!

Johnny is the ONLY one I want working on our A\C and heating systems! Very professional, knowledgeable, and fast. He came out once because our heat wouldnt come on and immediately knew the cause and replaced the failing part. At a later time our thermostat wouldnt turn the air off (if set to 77 it would continue running to 68 if we didnt stop it). He came out and replaced our thermostat in no time flat: Air Rescue Mechanical ROCKS!

Air rescue mechanical came twice through AHS to fix our A.C. The first time they worked on our outside unit, which they ended up changing and the second time they came to fix the motor of the outside unit.After my first experience, I requested them the second time because of their prompt schedule and courteous attitude. Johnny with Air Rescue Mechanical is very knowledgeable and goes out of his way to please his customers.I definitely recommend and will for sure use their services in the future!

I was assigned Air Rescue by my Hone Warranty Company. Usually, those appointments take a few days to schedule, if the company even calls. That was not the case with Air Rescue. He called immediately to triage my issue and then made a same day appointment. He checked my system and felt that Freon was part of the issue but didn’t feel comfortable adding Freon and calling it good. He had another appointment that he had to honor but said he would come back to see if his hunch was right. He returned later and the system still did not meet his expectation. He said because it was late and he felt he was interrupting my family time (7pm,) he would return the next day. Before he did that, he checked the forecasted daily temps. He returned the next day as promised and continued to diagnose the system. He found a pinhole and soldered it but said that he felt something else was wrong. He changed out an inline filter and after a total of 3 or so hours, apologized for not being able to fix it, explaining the system was damaged and needed replacing. He refused to take any money for the Freon not covered by the plan. He contacted the Home Warranty and had a replacement system ready to install within the week!The company is courteous, punctual, thorough, reliable, honest and friendly. There was no stepIn the process that I wasn’t aware of what was happening and when, with options regarding cost!! I have not had this type of excellent service in a very long time!!! I HIGHLY recommend Air Rescue A/C.

Every summer we have AC issues, so we have used many contractors. Never have we experienced any AC contractor as fair, honest and responsive as Johnny at Air Rescue Mechanical! No high pressured sales, or unnecessary fixes. So relieved to finally find an AC contractor we can trust! We are customers for life!

My AC went out last night, and after several attempts to find someone to come to my house today; my home warranty company finally find Air Rescue Mechanical. Initially, they said tomorrow, but the technician called me and said he’d come over this afternoon! Thank goodness, because it was 88 degrees in my house! He gave me a 30 minute window to get home and arrived on time. It took him less than 30 minutes to repair and clean my outside AC unit. I now have cool air!! Thank you so much! I will definitely be using this company again!

Johnny diagnosed a problem with my A/C last year when I had home warranty with AHS. They had previously sent out 2 engineers from a different company who had both failed to correct the problem. Johnny diagnosed the problem and fixed it effectively and efficiently. I called Johnny again yesterday with a different A/C problem. He came within a few hours of calling and had fixed the problem within 30 minutes. I rate this company very highly, particularly in view of the excellent response times, and the quality of the work.

Air Rescue Mechanical was quick to respond and listen to my concerns about my AC unit. They were able to make the repairs and get our AC up and running very quickly. I would definitely recommend them.

Johnny/Air Rescue Mechanical was outstanding in helping resolve our A/C problem on a day when temperatures where over 105 degrees. We were desperate for getting the unit fixed and other vendors would not service the unit in a timely manner. Johnny came on the same day, replaced the fan motor in 30 min. and got the unit up & running.I would strongly recommend Johnny for any A/C repairs.

No one likes to have AC issues, but, for when it happens you have so many options that leave you confused. I have used a few services in the past for my rental property and NONE have been as wonderful as Air Rescue Mechanical. Jonny cares for his customers deeply, educates them for whats going on and recommends/fixes things to your full satisfaction. I normally dont write reviews and i couldnt resist writing one for this company because of the great experience Jonny provided in fixing my thermostat and AC units. Ill be calling Jonny directly for any future needs. Look no further if you are looking for heating and cooling services!

Air Rescue Mechanical has been helping us for years, even on busy Sundays. They came to my house in 30 minutes, and fixed my AC in no time. From now on these guys are my first choice for AC repairs.

AHS assigned this company on Sunday (filed service request online), when my thermostat display went blank. Circuit breaker had not tripped. Called the companys 972 number on Monday a few times and left VMs. No-one called me back. So I called AHS and requested them to call Air Rescue and ask them to come on Monday itself, but they did not have any open slots, but since I had only 1 unit & senior citizens in my home and temperature was in 90s, the company owner told AHS that he will send a tech first thing Tues Morning. Kevin called me in an hour after I hung up the phone with AHS, and he promised me he will show up btw 8-11 on Tues. I got a call at 9AM Tues and he said he was 15 min away. He was professional, friendly, and went to the attic and drained water from kill switch, and thermostat came back alive! Then he went outside and checked the freon pressure on my condensor unit, and that was fine as well. he also explained to me that the since the AC was emptying into the mastertoilet sink, I had to make sure no clogs there, and advised me to pour down Draino and I did that. He then measured the temperature at the vents and it was 67F, and I was happy. He also said there was a 60 day warranty. Kevin told me they are a small company and Mondays are super busy hence they could not call me back.Thermostat went dead in 5 hours, and I called back Kevin and he said was busy and he can come back tomorrow. I texted him multiple times , atleast asking him how to turn on thermostat after emptying water from kill switch, and he did not respond back. Then I called Reliant Air-conditioning who came in at 6:30PM and Eddie taught me how to remove kill switch and suck water from the pipe, and then he cut the line and kept blowing pressurized nitrogen into the primary and we heard a pop sound, looks like all the hard water deposits came out of the sink in my bathroom. So Kevin from Air Rescue Mechanical had done a half baked job in the morning.Home Warranty is a total BS and the companies they contract with are also BS

We had a technician sent over by our home warranty company on 07/30/15 to work on our AC unit, no improvement noted after he was done working on it. He had very poor communication skills and could barely speak english, when I asked for further explanation over the phone, he claimed I was being argumentative. I would never use this company again.

Technician was prompt on arrival (both times) and worked very quickly. Problem solved all in a days time.
