Jay and Jesse came to my home for an electrical warranty repair and they were awesome. Friendly, quick, professional and courteous. These dudes are great, I was very happy with the service they delivered.

I had a 20.5KW system installed on a 3-story roof with sloping terrain. It was a very tough install. It was a pleasure working with IES Texas Solar. The salesperson, Dan, was knowledgeable and polite, he took the time to understand my objects and worked to design a system that fit those needs. They took care of the application process with my subdivision and electric COOP. I worked with installers to solve a difficult clamping issue that was eventually resolved through research that Judy did to identify an alternate clamp for my unique standing seam roof. My only complaint is the risks taken while on the roof. I felt the workers should have used fall protection. The installers were very good at what they did, but did not use harnesses or other fall protection.

I had a solar system installed this year, and its been in production for a little over a week now. So far I am extremely pleased with the operation and net effects on my CPS bill. Their installation crew was very good (and also very quick). They installed 26 panels in about two hours.

Had a great experience working with IES. From the initial quote all the way through activation of my system, they were professional, helpful and attentive. They were upfront and honest about the entire process. I would highly recommend them.

IES installed my system in March 2023, and informed Sunlight that the system was good to go, even though Centerpoint had not approved and it needed fixing. IES did not come out to fix the system until 4 months later, in July, but did not inform Sunlight about the system not being approved, and I kept getting charged by Sunlight in the meantime. IES promised to reimburse me 3 months of payments I made while system was not active, but later backtracked on their promise. Bryan Garcia and Brandon Rickett have given me the runaround for months and ignored my calls, texts, voicemails, and emails. The price is cheap, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired, and they will completely block you out once the system is installed and they get their money. Beware!

So Ive had my solar panels for over 5 years now. My first experience with this company was that they are not pushy at all. They were friendly and courteous. When it came time for the install they came they installed and things started working within 48 hours.My first real experience with how well these worked was my first electric bill that went from about 180.00 to less than 25.00. This all by itself told me these were worth the cost. I got mine before the huge increases in utility costs so the difference is what I was looking at as well as the fact I am retired.This is my own personal feeling, the solar panels because they are recessed from the roof provide an air flow between the roof and the panels which, in my opinion creates some cooling effect.So far that Ive had the panels Ive had two occasions where Ive had to call IES, the first one, I noticed that my entire array went out. IES looked at the problem from their end and within 24 hours sent out a team to come fix the issue which was two bad optimisers which had gone bad due to Texas power outages.The second time was when I noticed that a few panels werent producing. I contacted IES and they sent out a team (took a few weeks but they did say they were real busy which I do not doubt) and discovered that not a few but 7 panels were not producing. About 3 weeks later they sent out a new team that came out and installed the new panels. The new panels were upgrades and didnt cost me anything due to my warranty.The only thing that Ive had to pay for is a squirrel fence around the panels which I highly recommend and the regular maintenance of cleaning them about every two years due to pollen, dust and other debris.All in all, IES is the best.I worked with Corey whom Ive never met but has been the best at providing feedback and the resolution.

I looked into a number of companies and chose IES after careful review. They had the ability to customize the components to meet my needs and were not restricted to specific manufacturers like other companies. The price was also better than the others. Jonathan was very helpful throughout the entire process, answering all questions and following up regularly...including after the install. There were a few hiccups during installation and some questions afterwards...but all were addressed promptly. I recommend IES to anyone looking.

After talking to several other companies we decided to go with IES Solar for their excellent service, price model and no pressure policy which we love. James was our amazing consultant and he made us feel really comfortable during the entire process explaining every single detail and taking care of every aspect for us. We were also amazed at how fast they had everything up and running.I always recommend IES Solar to all my friends and neighbors looking to go solar.

After speaking with several installers and doing extensive research, I chose IES Solar. They came up with very competitive pricing and provided state of the art service along with a lot of patience in dealing with me as a customer. A small contractor issue was resolved quickly and details of the finance contract was explained in detail. Its been 2 months the solar system went live and everything is working flawlessly. I highly recommend Michael Downing as their Sales Exec who went out of his way to answer questions. I have also provided several referrals for installs. System installed is a 15.2KW setup with Panasonic panels.

IES did a great job installing our solar panels. Communication was good and will be doing more business with them in the future. Their App is a good tool to review your solar production.

Absolutely amazing experience with them. I did a lot of shopping around, a lot of research into countless of other solar companies. If quotes were cheap, they were from very small and new Solar companies. The fear of unreliability was real. If quotes were expensive, they came from very big and reputable Solar companies. IES Texas Solar has a good and reliable history dealing with electrical. AND most importantly, they were extremely competitive with their prices. On top of that they carried the exact solar panel models that I wanted.Mr Garrett Bader, my sales consultant took so much of his time and efforts to explain every small process. If he didn’t have the answers he would contact his engineers instantly. He even dropped by a couple times during the installation process, which was quick and efficient.Right now sitting on my roof are 12 beautiful all black panels with no signs of wiring, everything hidden perfectly. I gotta say my solar panels look the best out of all my other neighbors. And that’s all thanks to IES Texas Solar! I would highly recommend getting a quote from them if you’re looking to go Solar.

Wanted to give it a few months before writing a review. We worked with Garrett who came by our house to go over their product and the savings that we were expected to realize. He also explained about the tax savings and even with the loan we took out with the panels, still saving alot of money with that included. We decided to go with IES due to their reviews and the non-pressure coming from Garrett. Im very glad we went with them and the biggest thing that is a plus is communication after the install. 90% of the time companies will give incredible customer service until the contract is signed, then it is crickets. Garrett and the rest of the team have answered my questions expeditiously after the sale. Highly recommend.

I engaged IES for my home solar project from a referral. James with IES was easy to work with, took the time to explain how solar worked and shared with me the processes that would take place after agreeing to move forward. IES took care of all the correspondence with HOA, city and other entities as well as discussed options for me to consider for my net metering energy plan. The design and install teams were accessible to address my questions as they wanted to ensure the project aligned to my desires which it did 100%. I’m happy with IES and recommend them if you have solar panel aspirations for your home - if you’re in the Austin area give’em a try and ask for James. All I need now is for the sun to shine!!

We recently had a 14.5 kW system installed on our metal roof. I interviewed a total of three solar companies and decided on IES for several reasons, The pricing from all three firms was very similar, but my research showed that the equipment used by IES was better in respect to warranties and in long-term efficiencies and performance.The salesman that I met with was very knowledgeable and was not high pressure. The permitting and approval process went smoothly and in less time than predicted. The installers were very good, even though they ran into a few issues.Overall very pleased with the process and the install.

Highly, Highly, HIGHLY recommend IES Texas Solar! Solar panels were installed 7 years ago, and in 2022 noticed a drop off in performance that exceeded warranty thresholds. When Brandon first gave me a quote in 2016 the company doubled-down on long term customer service which is why I chose them. Corey validated the LG panels were in fact failing and set upon a course to collect measurements, submit the claim through LG’s challenging process and came through 100% successful. Now I have replacement panels and everything is in perfect working order. From a professional install, to competitive prices, awesome customer service, clear communication and warranty support I feel like there is simply no stronger recommendation but to go with IES Texas Solar! If you live in Texas it’s a no-brainer decision.

When I decided to go solar, I did my research first and then started interviewing solar companies before I selected IES. The reason I selected IES, is that they took the time and explained the entire process, the costs involved, tax credits, answered all my questions and they helped secure financing. They also helped my neighbor - she had been working with another solar company for her solar array and had been waiting months for the installation. IES assisted her and they ended up installing her solar array.The process is seamless and they have a great team. Once I signed the contract it took about 30-45 days to get the panels installed and operational. My solar array was up and running June 2019 and I was able to see the immediate savings after the first month of operation.

My electric bill was averaging about $253 a month. With the local Electric Company raising rates, my average would jump to $282 a month. And with rate increases for the next several years being announced, it was a no-brainer I had to seriously look into getting solar. My daughter and son-in-law had already installed solar on their house and went with IES. I had contacted 5 different solar companies and only 3 responded. Had the usual meet and greet at my house and was given a lot of information that I had to absorb. In my opinion, IES had the best presentation and everything was explained to my satisfaction. So, I decided to go with IES. I was told that the install date would be decided when the crews would be available for install. Since I was in no hurry, I was fine with that. It gave me time to look over everything again and decide if I should reconsider my options. I was given an install date and the crew showed up around 8:30am, and 35 panels with electrical/solar equipment was installed, up and running my 1:30pm. Since it was a very sunny day, the electrical tech told me to look at the solar meter and then look at my house meter. Solar meter was showing the wattage being generated. Looked at my meter and it was running backwards!! EXCELLENT! This is the main reason I went solar. To get my meter to run backwards. Granted the local electrical company pays pennies to any electricity given to the grid, at least I was not using their electricity to power my house. IES did an excellent job installing my solar system. The salesman answered all my questions and concerns. Im a happy camper. The solar system was already showing what it can do. Already had no electrical bill for the month of February. March was only $39.40 (7 sunny days, 13 days partial sun and 11 days of rain.) The summer months are coming up and with the sun being out the majority of the time during the spring and summer, my panels will be generating plenty of power for my house. At night, I use the city power. But the power that the solar panels make, offset the power I use at night. 35 panels is only suppose to cover 85% of my electrical bill, according to the IES enginneer. If Im lucky, it just might cover a whole lot more than 85%. If youre concerned with the costs, IES can explain everything to you before you make a decision. But dont wait too long. The Federal Tax credit will be going down for the next several years. IES can explain that too. Go with IES, you wont regret it. Tell them I sent you.

We can’t say enough good things about IES Texas Solar! We wanted to take advantage of the solar tax rebate program and spent time getting quotes from many solar companies which resulted in a lot of unclear information. However, Kristen stood out as an extremely patient Solar Consultant immediately and took the time to answer all of our questions about calculation, layout, installation, and explain every step of the quote and process to us. We never felt like we were being persuaded to buy more than we needed, in fact when we suggested adding more panels Kristen explained why it wasn’t beneficial for us based on the exchange rate with our local electric company. Kristen was really honest with us in setting expectations throughout the whole process. The crew who installed the panels were also very friendly and professional. Roy, their electrician, was super knowledgeable and was always available to answer my questions when he was here working. Dan, the manager, also played an important part in our overall customer experience. Aside from the great people at IES, one of the main reasons we chose them over other big names was that they have been around for decades and are Central Texas based, including their customer service team.Overall, we had a great experience with IES and we highly recommend them!

I highly recommend IES. What I liked most was that they had good reviews, they did not pressure me, they had the best price by far, and they were punctual and professional with the installation.I worked with Dan on the proposals. He patiently explained everything and answered all of my questions. And, he was always available by phone, text, or email to answer questions. I took me a couple months to review other companies and ultimately decide, and he never pressured me at all during that time.The price from IES was far better than the 2 other companies I got proposals from. And even when I directly asked the other two if they could beat that price, they could not.Kate got all of the permits and inspections in order. I barely had to do anything but review some documents. Then Judy took over to set up the installation and final details. A team of 5-6 guys showed up at 8am sharp and were finished before noon. They were very courteous and professional.Two days later the city inspected the system, and the day after the electric company completed the final inspection. All tolled, from signing the proposal to installation and power on, was 2 and a half weeks! Impressive!I was a little nervous to pull the trigger on this decision, but IES made it it so easy.

We installed our IES solar system a little over two years ago and couldnt be happier with our decision! From our first meeting with our sales associate, Jake, who was very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining all of our options in different systems to sharing costs benefits and tax savings, to the day of installation and system turn on, the IES team has been available to answer any and all concerns.Their prices were competitive with others on the market, but the quality of the customer service won our business.

Brandon our rep was great during the initial meeting and has been 100% on any text or email during the entire process. Brandon just came and completed our final brief on how the computer system works and helped load the phone apps. IES was one of two companies I found that was really knowledgeable and experienced with solar power and how it would work with my home. The panels they use were higher rated and more efficient, meaning Id need fewer panels and could minimize the impact on the appearance of my home. They didnt pressure me and were readily available and willing to answer any and all questions and they came back for follow-up questions and concerns. And I did tons of research and had LOTS of questions. The install process was perfectly smooth and efficient and they cooperated with my schedule 100%. Id whole-heartedly recommend this company.

I purchased my Solar panels from IES in May 2015, since then Ive had no problems with the system. I do have a ZigBee monitoring device which allows me to monitor the system production. The only delay in service I had was a few months ago when my inverter needed a firmware upgrade, the firmware push took several emails to IES who had to reach out to the manufacturer to get it pushed.Two years ago we had a hail storm. To my surprise I received a call from IES to ensure my system was not damaged, i hadnt even realized there was an issue but i did have a panel that was damaged (the Solaredge app showed panels not performing) and they came out, did inspection and took pictures of damage. I did have to pay for a new panel but its wasnt too expensive and my system was back at peak performance.Just recently I noticed a leak on my covered porch, I called IES to have solar panels removed for roof repair, David Nieto and Brain Ayala arrived and evaluated the roof and bracket area to find it wasnt sealed very well. they resealed the area and so far all is well.David and Brian are absolutely great, they are professional and courteous and thorough.

We had a great experience with our sales person (Dan Weier). The whole process was really easy and Dan follow up with us all the time.I did a deep research on solar panels and I had a lot of different quotes (Maybe 10+ different companies). I financed my system and IES found one of the best rates for solar panels.IES took care of all the paper work with my HOA and my electric company (PEC), this took some time for all the approvals. Installation was fast (one day) and the people that did the job responded all my questions . They even helped me with some changes in my panel for my Volt.I will recommend to take a look to IES since it is a really good company that help me with my endeavor to put solar power in my home.

Such a great company! They had installed the solar on the roof of the house we moved into and helped us with our metering issues at NO COST! Even though we weren’t the purchasers.So of course when we moved and put up our own, we had to use them. Did not disappoint. Super professional, responsive, and installed a great product.Definitely call them if you are looking to install solar panels.

I originally contacted another solar provider to get solar panels installed on my roof. My plan was to use the 1st company for my project. I only contacted IES as a double check of my original decision. As it turned out, IES showed me a better plan for my house. So far, it was a very good decision. I waited to review IES until after I received my 1st CPS bill. My target savings was 80%. Every month will be different. But, my 1st months savings was just under 83%. I couldnt be any happier with the entire process including after installation support and actually achieving my target energy savings. I absolutely love it when a plan turns out even better than expected!. Now several months later, I switched wifi providers. As a result, my Envoy Internet reporting app needed to be connected to my new router. Judy from IES came to my home and after some consulting with Envoy central was able to get the Envoy box to connect to the new wifi. She took the time to come to my home saving me the cost of a technician visit. Great job & thanks again!

The installation of my 4.95 kW system was seamless and free of any hassles or problems. From my initial consultation through commissioning, every step was handled professionally and in a timely manner. The install crew worked quickly and left the worksite clean and free of debris. I interviewed four installers; IES earned my business with their no-nonsense, straightforward, friendly, and respectful approach.

I started this project a little under a year ago. I was sold on how long the sales person said this company had been in business and how “reputable” they were. I’m now stuck with solar panels on my house that don’t produce electricity because they seem to have an issue coming out and inspecting my house with the city. Now that I’m 60 days after installation my loan is due. Since the panels do not work I’m now stuck paying the solar panel bill AND my normal electric bill. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH I.E.S. THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND WILL NOT FINISH THE JOB IVE BEEN GETTING THE SAME RUN AROUND FOR 60 days AGAIN DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH IES WORST MISTAKE IVE EVER MADE.

When I found that they had the Solar System I needed, they were very helpful from start to finish. The personnel that installed the system, When I made a change to something that was needed, they didnt hesitate to add it to the plans and did an excellent job on it. Also, I must mention that if I had a question, the ladies (Tami, and Sarah) that answered the phone were extremely helpful and full of good information. They were extremely pleasant to talk to and helped me with anything I required answers for. Well done and thank you.

Brandon was able to solve our utility bill needs and our extreme high cost of electricity with the solar system. After getting several estimates we found IES to have the cleanest looking installation available in that they do not have exposed conduit running all over the roof like some of our neighbors. Pricing was consistent with other companies service was better than others

I didnt realize I had an issue with my panels but when I logged on to the home monitoring page, it appears my panels have not been working since the end of April. My CPS energy bill confirmed that. My husband did numerous resets after a storm at the end of April and we thought it was fixed. IES told me that they signed me up for email alerts when my panels were down however I have never received an alert and trust me these panels seem to have frequent issues. Here I am on Saturday evening and I called the on-call number and of course nobody answered. No surprise there!!! Very disappointed!!!!

I met with 4 solar companies before I sat down with IES Texas Solar. They listened more to what we needed than any other company. They were also much more knowledgeable about the process. The install process was faster and easier than all other companies outlined. I highly recommend IES Texas Solar!

Great experience from end to end with IES. We met with 4 companies and decided to go with IES due to the price and service. They didn’t try to add in a bunch of unneeded extras to drive up the price. They were flexible and did the extra work to ensure we got what we needed. It has been about 9 months and the system has been worry free. Thanks guys!

Since my last review of 1 star, I am writing to change it to 4 stars. Once I was able to get with a representative (Jonathon Cates), I have had a very good experience. Jonathon has been very responsive to my text (even when he was on vacation). We are very pleased with the Generac generator that we combined with our solar panels. I did not give them 5 stars because nobody is perfect. The only complaint that I have with the installation of the solar panels is that they did not cleanup the small debris (extra zip-ties) laying on the roof. So now, after a hard rain, I have zip-ties in my yard that comes down through the gutter. Other than that, I am very pleased with IES.

Mike and the team were great, it did not take them very long to install our panels. Great communication and all questions were asked when we needed. No issues with the panels and they are saving us money our CPS bill. I highly recommend!

We are loving our (almost) free electricity! After last summer’s spike in rates, we reached out to IES for solar. At this rate, it will pay for itself quickly! It also raises our home’s value.

IES was the best choiceDavid N. & Juan did an excellent job troubleshooting my 12 year-old 4600 KW solar system, updating some components and bringing it up to standards as if it were new. Im very pleased with their work, knowledge and customer care

Solar has been working great for 4.5 years. Have a leak in roof do to rodents. They had their techs have been out to investigate, and they paced a temporary fix over the leak until the roofers can make it out for a perminate fix. I would also recommend solar to all home owners for the monthly savings on electricity.

Attempted to do a $50K ground mounted installation. Project ultimately had to be canceled due inability to design a system to meet my requirements and timeline. If youre in the market for a standard roof top, grid-tied installation, you might consider IES. If you need anything custom, you might consider looking somewhere else.

Overall, system quality is good, and the services provided by IES were good as well.-So why the 2-starts instead of 5?I didn’t particularly appreciate how the system was presented in terms of numbers and expectations. Basically, what was presented was misleading.-Why is the information presented to clients misleading?In simple terms, any house in the US (or I should say the world) runs on AC power, but the system is presented and advertised in DC power. Note that companies offer their systems in DC Power. Also, they do present (on paper only) the AC Power output after you sign the initial contract.-Why is it essential to run the numbers with the max AC Power output and not DC?In simple terms, the max AC Power output is limited (clipped) by the inverter’s efficiency or the inverter’s max AC Power output, whichever is less. So with this being said, your panels could be producing 340W DC, but the AC Power output could be 290W AC because of the max power output of the inverter (295W AC Max).-How has this impacted my system?My system was presented to me as a 7.82 kW DC system (23 panels of 340W). All numbers were presented using the DC Power number, numbers such as how much the system could produce in a year (11,382kWh), how much offset I was going to generate (64.93%), etc.After the system was installed, I expected an AC Power constant peak output of something close to 7.59kW due to the inverter’s efficiency. But, to my surprise, I was only able to get a continuous peak of 6.67kW. After looking back at the design, I realized that the AC Power output was 6.67kW because the inverter’s max output is 290W/295W Max per inverter (the system uses one inverter per panel, so 290W x 23 panels). So, all the numbers presented were based on DC power output, although to compare apples to apples, you should compare to the AC power output.-What IES had to say about this?So IES tried to explain why they used the microinverters they use, which have a max AC Power output of 290W. This I already knew after doing my homework and not trusting the first thing I see on paper. Basically, the microinverter that can output more AC Power starts working at a bit higher voltage than the ones I got. This matters because when you don’t get too much sun, your system will produce a little bit of power. So to decide which inverter is best, you have to see the pros and cons. Anyways, this was not my question to them; my question was why their advertisement was misleading. To this concern, they tried to shift my attention to the annual production number presented in the initial contract, which was 11,382kWh. I was told that their program considers AC Power and other factors. Still, to those of you that know how solar energy production is calculated and to those who don’t, it is calculated based on 4hrs of direct sun per day in other words, Annual Production = Watts per panel * Number of panels * 4hrs * 7 days a week * 52 weeks. So, if we take my system in DC Power, Annual Production = 340W per panel * 23 panels * 4hrs * 7 days a week * 52 weeks in a year = 11,386kWh DC Annual Production…. If we take my system in AC Power, Annual Production = 290W per inverter * 23 inverters * 4hrs * 7 days a week * 52 weeks in a year = 9,712kWh AC Annual Production…. Now, why do I believe I was told to look at the Annual Production instead? Well, surprise, we are in Texas, and we get more than 4 hrs of direct sun. So yeah, I’ll get to that number eventually.-Would this have impacted my decision to go solar (or at least with IES)?Yes! As you can see, I know one or two things about solar and how the system works and, systems are overpriced everywhere. So, I would have put more thought into it before deciding. I just failed by trusting the numbers that I was given.

Everyone from this home office and the local rep was totally awesome. They were able to walk me throught the entire process and handled all the necessary permits, inspections and other details. Basically, all I had to do was sign the contract and they handled everything else... Installation went smoothly and they cleaned up every last piece of debris... if it werent for the 33 panels on my roof, youd never know anything was done!!

Installation was done in timely fashion. Very neat, they left no mess. We are very happy with the efficiency of the system. Brandon was forthright in answering our questions, gave us honest answers. Volunteered to fix the computer generated reporting system after our WiFi changed.

I got 5 quotes from different companies. IES wasnt the cheapest but I selected them based on the panels they offer and the history of their company. Everyone I interacted with very professional so far Im completely satisfied with their service.

We had IES install our solar panels a while back. They were efficient, professional, and quick. Highly recommended

Requested a quote for 3kw solar and 5kw battery system. They quoted a 5.1 kw solar and 10kw battery. Asked for itemization and havent heard back in 2 weeks. Wanted a Toyota and they quoted a Bentley. Trying to upsell instead of what the customer asks. Schisters. Avoid.

I have had this solar panel up for a couple of months. the company who put them in have been as nice as can be. they answer any and all question.
